  • Wow, this Lauer turd is so biased it hurts. This is such a puff piece interview, even as he asks the questions, he’s already declared her innocent so what’s the f-ing point?

  • I have mixed feelings about to.. like jokingly I would say well the heart drug hasn’t helped her beat Serena in 10+ yrs. so what are we talking about here, but I can’t someone saying she’s a cheater regardless if the drug was legal until 2016. I don’t know someone debate or discuss this… and no emotions involved.

  • Mildronate is a prescription only drug, licensed in the former USSR, the holder is Grindeks from Latvia. She said she took the drug for a certain heart condition. If that were true, Grindeks would be ranked above Novartis and Pfizer for having invented a medicine, allowing patients, suffering from heart diseases to play professional tennis.

  • I feel they should give her a punishment, but a very minor one. This clearly wasn’t intentional and clearly gave little performance benefit. Destroying someone’s career for something which was clearly a mistake seems silly.

  • Did you really say that Maria Sharapova is the best female tennis player for the last 11 years? I assume that you think that Serena is a male

  • I believe that was honest mistake. Hold on Maria, you will get trough this.If illegal substance is in bout drugs (Mildronate and Melatonin), WHY is not bout drugs on the ITF list????Its the fault of ITF, as much as Sharapova’s.

  • Marc did you have trouble holding back your laughter when training with Jerry Ward man what’s up with them barbell curls and people pay this clown to train them

  • My view is that I don’t think it is entirely her fault, yet I still think she needs to wear the consequences. An athlete like her surely has a team around her: a nutritionist, a tennis coach, and surely a supplement/drug expert. When she says she didn’t read the email of banned substances sent out, surely she, as a top 5 tennis player wouldn’t even consider wasting her time researching drugs and stuff when she could be out on the court hitting balls; she’s a tennis player, not a pharmacist. Someone else is at fault here I think.

  • Will be interesting to see what happens when people start using nanotech and biotech to enhance their abilities…. I wonder how sports will handle that.

This idea of not allowing athletes to use drugs that give them an edge is absolutely insane. There is no drug that will help you be a better tennis player, they don’t make you more skilled… so I don’t see how people can say this is cheating.

  • She was not honest she was lying, and it wasn’t fair for the other players. She’s a cheater I never like her anyway she made all her money in the US, and she’s not even a citizen.

  • U said who cares if she’s on drugs?? Its a sad world that we live in. If you want to be professional in a sport you have to be enhanced nowadays, what happend to talent?

  • I agree and it’s why I am starting this position to allow doping in modern days in certain sports and if it is loosely regulated

  • great vid man, keep up the good work. Also just got Vasky, biggest contrast between how a supp smells and how it tastes lol it tastes great

  • The thing about meldonium is that it stays in your body for months, so IF the last time she took this med was a day/week or even 2 months before it was banned, she should technically, be innocent, not banned or atleast be monitored for supposed continuous decreasing amount of meldonium in the bloodstream. Did they specify a certain amount of meldonium? I don’t think so.

  • I think (my opinion) it’s meldonium that keeps MS going. There are many players that is better than her. Wether in service, volley, slice, drop shots, etc. unfortunately because she did not disclose this Med for a certain period of years, she was able to take it and keep winning over clean players.

  • Drugpova dares not put Meldonium into her WTA doping control form. Drugpova dares not tell anyone else even including her team doctor about Meldonium. Drugpova increases dosages before important matches. So it is pretty obvious that drugpova has the absolute intention to use drugs to enhance her performance despite the possible controversy about the efficacy of Meldonium, as it is pretty sure that she believes Meldonium could enhance her performance. Or why doesn’t she dare to fill in her medical form and tell her team doctor about Meldonium? So there are, instead, probably more shady drugs, banned or not, that drugpova dares not reveal! It is so right to expose this secret chronic doping bitch!

  • like maria sharapova, serena williams has been allowed to use illegal drugs, (tues), by wada; except in sharapova’s case she only used meldonium, for a heart condition, which she took legally for 10 years, until wada decided to make the same drug illegal, 2 weeks before she played in the australian open;
apparently they only sent her an e mail to say she could not use it, but they did not contact her to ask if she had received it.
williams has been allowed to use corticosteroids prednisone & prednisolone, which heighten physiological functions & oxycode, a painkiller; all of which are illegal drugs; she has also been known to avoid drug tests; this can be found by typing in ‘serena williams; drug cheat?’
    good reading!!!

  • jennifer capriati is a hater, eventhough people will hating on maria because she made a mistake, she will still be the richest female athlete

  • Poor explanation. For ten years it was ok but then rule changed and I did not know…. Well… You ARE a pro… It s YOUR job to make sure whatever crap you are using is ok at ALL TIMES!!!! IT S YOUR MISTAKE!!!! OWN IT AND MOVE ON. STOP GIVING CHILDISH CHEAP EXCUSES!!!!

  • Son: “Daddy, does Sharapova has a cute vagina?”Father: “Sorry?!?!? what did you say?”Son: “I overheard Sharapova’s Russia doctor say she has acute angina”Father: “Ah….that explains her prescription for a CIS only-registered drug for myocardial infarction;  however, it seems Maria, who suffers from recurring flu and has a distant relative with diabetes, has been mis-prescribed this drug by an incompetent Russia doctor; it is funny, with her body being her tool, you would have expected her to employ only the best doctors with her $30million/year income……obviously not”

  • While meldonium likely provides some PED like effects it seems rather ineffective. There are many other female tennis players that are so obviously on androgenic hormones I find this to be a joke.

  • I think you should take whatever you want an let the best person win. if summat makes you better why not u still got to win whatever sport it is. example I could take best sport performance drug going an still lose tennis game to maria or lose a fight to mcgregor or get nut megged by messi. its all politics people with there opinions telling cus all what we can an can’t do get 1 life do what you want as long as you’re not hurting anybody else.

  • Imagine the media’s reaction if this was Serena, just imagine if she admitted to taking this drug for 10 years. Funny thing is she still couldn’t beat Serena, hasn’t even won a set against her for about 7 years.

  • This means she has been using illegal drug which helped her win a lot of matches and championship. If thats the case i think she should be sacked of all her championships.

  • According to what she said she was about to die. woow looks as innocent as a lamb. almost say I don’t breake even a dish. A high percentage (17%) of Russian athletes were using meldonium in 2015 they know what is for. Nothing for what maria Sharapova said. She is full time cheater. Very glad see her saying goodbye. Must return many things Miss Sharapova.

  • I heard that it is a drug designed for heart patients and its shouldn’t be taken more than 6 weeks. Not 10 years and she probably ain’t no heart patient. So she is bullshitting

  • She has been taking a medicine that’s been legal for years and then people come crying and blaming her because it’s been illegal for 3 months. Oh boy…

  • Look who’s talking:

Lance Armstrong (usage and traffic), Martina Hingis (cocaine), Michael Irvin (cocaine), Ben Johnson (Stanozolol), Eddy Merckx (the whole pharmacy), Michael Phelps (cannabis), Marion Jones (the BALCO’s), Andre Agassi (methamphetamine), Tim Montgomery (steroids), Tyson Gay (low self-esteem), Carl Lewis (Ephedra), John McEnroe (steroids), Mary Decker (testosterone)

  • Would have been nice if her tennis rivals over the years supported her,, i believe she would have been deeply happy inside if some did,, but they did not show,, thats life i tell you,, people will never understand people,,, they would rather turn and walk away,,,personally me and her army of fans are glad this girl made it back and been having her name in the history books from Day 1,,, what a life,,, and as im older id say what a life before shes even old,,, she has so much more living in front of her,,, her wall must be so high now,,,,, damn,,,,,,, world,,, long live Maria Sharapova.

  • As protection Sharapova claims: “I had a deficiency in magnesium and a family history of diabetes”. I you have a deficiency of magnesium, you should take magnesium pills. Meldonium improves endurance and regeneration, thats why a lot ot athlets from Russia took it until 2016.

  • I was not a Masha fan at all before the suspension mainly due to her ice cold demeanor towards other players, but watching her face this moment bravely and her humbling herself post-suspension, I do find myself rooting for her now.

  • I’ll always have Maria’s back, she’s legally been taking that medication during all those years. Up until 3 months ago it was banned. She’ll definitely get suspended for a while, but she’ll be back with more hunger to prove doubters wrong.

• MMMM IF THAT WAS SERENA, OH MY THEY WOULD STRIP HER OFF EVERYTHING AND PUT SOME JAIL TIME ON HER: ANY WIN OVER THE SISTERS WAS A CHEAT.

  • You need to give back all the trophys you won in the last ten years to the runner up you CHEAT YOU KNEW THAT MEDICATION WOULD MAKE YOU MOVE FASTER ON THE COURT

  • The guilt and the feel of being exposed is written all over her face, and all she does is make a irrelevant mark on the carpet, which makes her even more of an asshole.

  • she sickens me. a common cheat amongst many common Russian cheats! but Russia always saying they are being victimised! they have become rich through cheating and deprived honest athletes from achieving what is rightly theirs. she sucks. maybe she should give back the cups and donate the wealth she has got by forgery to those in the world who are more deserving. no she won’t do that.

  • Took “medicine” aka illegal performance enhancing drugs and STILL couldn’t win. She is a disgraceful cheat. How dare they allow her to announce it herself. She should have been disgraced like any other drug cheat in her position.

  • Well what I dont get is she had been taking this drug for like 10yrs, meldonium raises blood pressure to the heart or something I looked up, so I mean it just doesnt add up that she wouldnt know how dodgy it is and exactly what shes taking. Shes made some good deals out of Nike and all shes got to do is if she gets 4yrs ban, she can take her case to the sports governing body or whatever it is and just get that down to 1yr anyway.

At the end of the day Maria has been caught cheating!! and she should be punished! Its just typical cause if this happened to Serena everyone would be like, “I told you so, I knew there was something about her”. But no, when its someone like Maria, blonde, blue-eyed beauty, people just cant handle the truth, they dont want to believe it, instead they’re like “Oh its such a shame, it wasnt her fault, innocent mistake”.
But I guess thats the typical world we live in.

  • So Sharapova is suffering from HEART FAILURE if so, why is the bitch playing high action sports? lol Its complete bullshit that she threw that family HX excuse in there to make it appears as if she has heart failure OR something closely related to it.
If she needs a serious medication like Meldonium, maybe she should sit here overrated ass down and retire like most that have heart failure in which any Cardiologist will STRONGLY RECOMMEND that you do so.

  • Typical Russians, did anyone else hear about how the entire u-18 Russian boys junior hockey team also tested positive for meldonium? I don’t know what it is with Russian athletes, its as if they are trying to recapture the glory days of the USSR, but don’t have the integrity to compete honestly. Ban the entire country from competing, enough is enough with these cheats.

  • The biggest crime of all drug cheats is getting caught. Two years ban from tennis should effectively see yet another drugs cheat retired early albeit with her millions of dollars. Will she be missed? Not really.

  • Stay strong Maria
This is too conspiratory. I mean they should have announced the result ASAP, not 10 years after Australian Open.
Either her doctors are in some kind of conspiracy against her, or it had something to do with what she has said or did that offended “some people”. I was not her fan, but since this miss treatment, I will be rooting for her.

  • ITS OBVIOUS THAT SHE RESULTS TO DRUGS BECAUSE SHE JUST CANT BEAT SERENA THE GREAT. I DO NOT WANT TO HEAR THE PRE PREPARED HORSE SHIT FROM HER PR TEAM

  • Yeah right. Not fooling me with your black dress and your crying face Screamova!
On these difficult times, all I have for you is:
    AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
