Yes, even if we suck at it! Because if we are spending time at something we enjoy (no matter how terrible we are), if we truly enjoy it, we’re making our lives better. On top of that, because we’re spending time on something we enjoy, we’re far more likely to get better at it too! The “Do Something You Suck At” Challenge.

Do Something You Suck At (ft. Paola Mendoza) Are you constantly giving up on new hobbies because you’re not good at it from the start? Reshma explores how to break away from that perfection mindset.

Inspiration. As women, we’re missing out on a lot of fun. If we’re bad at something, it can suck all the joy out of it. As women, we’re missing out on a lot of fun.

If we’re bad at something, it can suck all the joy out of it. This week, Reshma explores how to break away from that perfection mindset. Her journey for joy takes her to an unexpected place where she has to face one of her fears.

Plus, she’s got a bravery challenge for you. You can tell Reshma your Brave, Not Perfect story or ask her a question by. The return on investment sounds pretty damn good, just for doing something you suck at. Put this in context of ‘big fish, little pond.’ How many lifters do you know of that are scared to leave their little pond and go train with the bigger fish? We all have an egoit’s part of why we love this sport.

But if you truly want to be the best you. The key to learning and professional growth is to do something you suck at. It feels terrible and wonderful. And it’s transformative. Incidentally, if you are curious to hear what I’ve been learning, check out Anoushka Shankar playing Raga Yaman Kalyan.

The word of this post has been ‘humbling’; this video is truly humbling, and mind. But sucking at something according to the author is ”..a call to unleash the unexpected bliss that occurs when we really really struggle to do something unremarkable, uncelebrated and without much to show for it.” It got me thinking that when we pursue something we are really not very good it actually frees us. The definition of “suck at” is: to be terrible at something “suck at” means. to be terrible at something. Example Sentences: A: Do you want to play tennis? B: No way, I suck at tennis.

Let’s play Nintendo Wii instead. Our team was great defensivel. When you are bad at doing something. Get a I suck at mug for your mother-in-law Larisa. Something Coupling honest, hilarious storytelling with unexpected insights, (It’s Great to) Suck at Something is an invitation to embrace our shortcomings as the very best of who we are and to open ourselves up to adventure, where we may not find what we thought we were looking for, but something way more important.

Jake the Dog — ‘Dude, suckin’ at something is the first step to being sorta good at something.’.

  • ‘Most people learning a language arent in it to have fun. They have a goal. Theyre the kind of people who set schedules…’

\*Chuckles nervously in summer boredom* Yeah… no.

  • When u grind ur ass off every day in free play and grind ranked to realise you average (plat 2)

It’s my tm8s tho I swear they acc suck so bad

  • This is probably the only man that doesn’t make me surprised when he throws a cabbage to the wall and it turns into Brussel sprouts

  • Man, now most the comments are from Poland. I’m from Poland too and TREAT PIEROGI LIKE THEY SHOULD BE TREATED. Raviogi are looking awesome tho.

  • I honestly don’t understand how the ranking system translates over game modes. I’m stuck at silver in duels, but in pretty much everything else I’m gold/platinum. I don’t play with parties to carry me either, it’s always randos. I don’t get it bruh

  • Hmm… 25 years of directed practice and I am still only mediocre. BARELY mediocre.
Dont give people false hope. Some people just suck, and always will, no matter what. If you suck at first, give up and find something you dont suck at. Sorry. Practice cannot overcome a profound lack of talent.

  • I only played casual just with my friends and never took it seriously but I always noticed I was better than a lot of casual players so I decided to try ranked by myself since they don’t play anymore and wow it is so much different. After 6 games they put me in high silver/low gold games and I was getting destroyed. I started training a lot and from just playing players way better than me I have already seen a huge improvement in my control and mental game

  • Didn’t even watch the vid. The answer to the question is that I only have about 112 hours in the game. I am gold (plat in hoops). I need more practice. Enough said

  • iv been a very casual player for a long time never really bothered about getting better.. but now i play a few games each night either with friends or on my tod and just doing a few games im starting to see how i can improve after watching a ton of your videos… i haven’t as yet done free play but im a low rank so i just try to improve there as best as i can for the time..
Last night me and some randoms won 4 3vs3 i won a solo and duo… still low rank but i played a lot better than i did a year ago… So even though my improvement isn’t an amazing upgrade after watching ur videos i feel like im in a better mindset to get better

  • I tried this recipe tonight, and it tasted so good!! I used a toaster oven bc my oven is broken (wrapping it in tin foil helped a lot), and I didn’t expect it to work out so well. Usually, my concoctions come out uhh pretty toasted. Thanks for the video!

  • Rl has no skill unless you’re gc. Any game where 10k hours is needed to get to grips with the controls is a shit game. Add to that, that the community invented the mechanics then you have a BS game where rng covers the majority of the player base.

  • You don’t “cook” milkshakes they are prepared or made cooking implies the addition of heat. The first rule of cooking season at every step the second rule of cooking is the application of heat and time.

  • Ya this is pretty much what I did with cod. I start off with 1000 bots before playing any matches. Eventually just 500 bots a day. And to a point where its just like 100 bots. Now that’s just getting good at aiming. Positioning strats etc come with playing or watching twitch. Kinda hard to teach solo plays or what to do in certain situations(talking snd) but learning how to take constructive criticism is great.

  • Okay but that lemon trick is really neat. Also the jalapeno one I can’t tell if it’s just a trick or if it actually does that. Idk I don’t eat jalapenos.

  • Khan: everyday play 1 hour of free play
I mean is this how addicted u guys are. Its just a game hop in have fun and still have a life plz not like random tm8 who gets in to spam what a save and score own goals from first second. Yh dont be that guy

  • Yea no. Sorry but this didnt help at all. Everyone ik are going far and wide and r getting good at what we do. But me I’m still a disgrace and I get stomped over by everybody. I will never be good. The world is made of winners and losers. For there to be winners u need losers, and apperantly I was born to e everyone’s loser

  • This is something i’ve been doing with videogames: my first 100% japanese videogame was SMT IF, for the SFC (i played on my SNES through an adaptor) and i started playing it when i didn’t knew anything about japanese; it was basically like jumping into the unknown, but i was driven by my disturbing cult-like obssession i have for the Shin Megami Tensei series and yeah, i was determined to play it.
I managed to get through the end (one of the endings) through a let’s play archive page which i used as a guide, but the thing is, there’s barely anything in english about this game since it was never translated by the english speaking fanbase. I followed the guide, but you’re on your own when it comes to 70% of the things you must do in game. I was basically staring at my screen and pressing A when those weird symbols appeared and that was boring as hell.

…By the time i reached the 4th dungeon, i could recognise and use items, manage my party properly and even understand the demon’s speech patterns (since you’re forced to talk with the demons you meet in order to recruit them) and i was like, woah: i can actually make sense of this language.
I cleared the game on the SNES and i started a new playthrough on the PSX, since there’s also a PSX version: i picked another path, that one that wasn’t covered in the guide, so that i HAD to get through it on my own with all the things i learned so far.
At one point i hit a roadblock, because in order to proceed in one dungeon, you had to do something which i couldn’t understand at first: before looking through japanese guides, i realized that the game was giving me an hint: it kept saying “you need a strong demon to pick up this rock”, but i couldn’t really understand what it meant by “strong”; was it levels? or the [力] stats?
By looking through a japanese guide, i managed to understand that you needed a demon with specific stats (two stats had to make 12 together, i think): i was SO happy that i could understand that: it was my “dopamine boost” as you said in this video.
I cleared the game twice, unlocking a secret route in the process which im still trying to end but it’s pretty hard and i love every second of it.

Im having a few issues with playing japanese videogames though: whenever i move on to something more complex, say, a visual novel or a story packed RPG, i can fully understand the menus, instructions (like when characters tell you that you have to do something, ecc..), simple phrases and bits of the story, but most of it, especially if it’s complex, it usually goes over my head.
Descriptions are the hardest thing EVER.
To me, some visual novels turn to from “hey this is pretty easy” to “holy shit this is some shakespear kind of stuff” because of complex descriptions for example.
So i’ve started dedicating at least 15 hours every day to this language, but this is draining me a lot and each time i just end up completely void of motivation.

In other words, it isn’t fun anymore. It feels like work.
What should i do in order to progress through my studies? Should i move on to passive listening and go with anime and shows instead?
I also forgot to say that almost every word i’ve encountered in the other 100% JP games i’ve played after this one (Dragon quest 6, Daikaijuu monogatari, and so on, more than 5 games) it’s in my Anki deck, which i practise everyday along with kanji damage deck (it’s slow, but it works pretty good with me), so i’ve managed to build up a “semi-decent” vocabolary but clearly this isn’t enough.
And since im very weak with grammar, i’ve inserted at least 150 links in my daily to-do list links about grammar forms that are almost impossible for me to understand on my own, but i still try each one everyday.

  • Ok, what I don’t get is how can you always go up against someone a little better then you cuz that means your opponent is going up against someone worse. It’s a paradox and it hurts my head XD

  • These aren’t even pierogi inside goes cabbage and mushrooms/cheese/russian stuff apparently or jam it’s start of the month/ Babushka made some or its birthday

  • I sent my mom a link to the “I’m so f’n happy for you” mug and she saw the side that said You suck at cooking first I think shes mad..

  • How do I explain to my mom why I’m about to go throw a cucumber into a wheat field and then enjoy some home made iced tea also called water downed coffee because aliens make it taste better?

  • Don’t make the dumbass move of making it in a handless jar! Been there done that

Because all you need to cool down on a hot day is hot boiling water

    Molecular slow downer

    I love this channel

  • Can we take a moment to appreciate how he climbed a tree, tied tea bags to it, probably risked his safety, all for our entertainment?

  • How do I explain to my mom why I’m about to go throw a cucumber into a wheat field and then enjoy some home made iced tea also called water downed coffee because aliens make it taste better?

  • I only played casual just with my friends and never took it seriously but I always noticed I was better than a lot of casual players so I decided to try ranked by myself since they don’t play anymore and wow it is so much different. After 6 games they put me in high silver/low gold games and I was getting destroyed. I started training a lot and from just playing players way better than me I have already seen a huge improvement in my control and mental game

  • I found some tea bags! not sure if i should put them in the water yet.. they seem scared of it maybe i should wait till they are ready or is it better if i just dunk them in?

  • Honestly I like this I mean you guys said just a thing that happened so I gotta say the scenes are nice and the shots with the sun are pretty good 10/10 in my book.

  • The most painful part isnt when you have to fix your mistakes, its when you fixed most of the mistakes you make, and you get to gc, but the next season you get with these wild c2 with only 500h and they only play to play, and they dont watch out for their mistakes so they make you loose and dipping down to the low elo champion. And even when you finally escaped c2 and you’re c3, you arent done yet, because psyonix matches up high c2 and low c3, so you have to deal again with those animals so you drop again to c2, and the nightmare continues over and over again until you stop playing ranked because its annoying

  • The urge to lick a blender increases with every milkshake. Maybe the fork-jangler technique will save my life (but more importantly my washing up effort)…

  • I thought this was click bait at first but then I realized it was partially my fault. Ok, I went to public schools so I’ll just blame trump.. I thought it said SEX. Milkshakes. I was confused as he introduced ice cream because I was thinking.. whoa, guaranteed shrinkage. But lo and behind it was about 6 milkshakes. So I called and canceled my date and since I’m lactose intolerant, I did a online delivery order for some toilet paper and air freshener..

  • Doing 1v1s helps a lot too. There are SO many moments that are just awkward to say the least and theres no one to worry about so as you mess around you get better muscle memory. In low ranks they’re basically training dummies

  • Today my Girlfriend broke up with me so i’m just gonna listen to this while I’m crying XD… worst day bruh’s

    no haters just saying…..

  • one thing you can do to avoid burning yourself with hot tea is to make cold brew tea with teabag and water for a day and put it into the heat remover to keep it chill

  • youtube hasnt been showing your channel notifications so im missing out on all the stuff you casually rename like the molecule slower-downer

  • I fluctuate from D1 and P3 in doubles and have never hit plat in singles and I’m confident in saying I will never hit champ 1 sunless

  • I love your videos so much! As a suggestion, I would love a sarcastic wang-jangling experience based on those fancy Japanese desserts that are so colorful and neat. But you can do whatever you like, because your content is fantastic anyway.

  • YSAC: if you ever see this comment: I have just accidentally stumbled across this channel. I am moved to aweness by your wit and creativity. It must be a total “blast” and so fun to live or work with you. Thanks.

  • sent here by CMT, luckily for me I already watch native content in japanese without subs and barely understand, but I still enjoy it somehow. For anyone wondering what that is: vtubers. Bit of a niche market but still something I’d consider getting into. You can think of it as personalities w/ an anime avatar. What makes them so enjoyable is really the personality rather than what they’re doing in the video, which is why they can get consistent viewership despite playing a variety of games or doing a variety of activities (talk streams, cooking, freaking google maps, games). This makes it really easy to enjoy their content, even without the language, because again, the focus is more on the personality and not the content itself.
If that sounds appealing to you, a couple I recommend checking out who I think can really carry a livestream on their personality and vibe alone are: inugami korone, suzuhara lulu, ange katrina, ex albio and nekomata okayu.

Another thing I recommend doing (which I’m sure has already been mentioned on MIA by now) is watching content you’ve already seen, without subs. You already know the context of scenes and you can focus in on the language that way while still enjoying it. For example, I couple watch konosuba again and still be entertained by the antics and chemistry of the characters without understanding a word

Dear creator pls do not tell our customers about the origins of the skittles and do not continue to other colours

    Sincerely,

  • Different skills on how people get to their current rank, i have zero mechanics smacking the shit out the ball like scrub, and hardclear as much as i can. Can barely jump from the wall to hit the ball, i cant dribble im in C1 and rarely in C3 ‍♂️. I just rotate and stay on net until my team is done spitroasting the ball in the corner.
Then you run into 2 people on your team that both thinks they are an allknowing prodigy and have no regard for positions or defence and just expects the other 2 to stay out of their way and now you all look like a gold player.
Prepare for a blamefest and expect deranks incomming fast. Now that also happens the other way where you make 1 goal and match is over just like that, with 4m remaining.
Its OK to miss the ball, the game is really difficult

  • Why your youtube channel name says you suck at cooking oh so you talking about us that we suck at cooking well you just made a hater

  • Great video, still upset about people like you/khatz and co not getting as much exposure as should:(.

btw you know any good source where I could find Raw One Piece from the start, cant find any on nyaa.

  • Man, you picked an anime that I love, AND a game that I love, to explain this. What more could I ask? Haha, thanks a lot for this! I always knew that my mindset was the problem; I get discouraged and bored easily to boot. But if I can just make myself a small note reminding me of the mindset and just sticking it to the side of my computer screen, everytime I feel that way, i can just read it to remind myself. (And sometimes rewatch videos like these; but if I do that all the time then I just end up procrastinating haha).

Again, thanks a lot for this!

  • This couldn’t have came at a better time, it’s important to remind myself of the small victories. Anyways, thanks for the video Matt.

  • Dude… I’m feeling inspired!!! Love what you did man!!! I know this was 8 years ago… but if you feel like making more… I’d watch them for sure. Thanks for the epic video my dude!!!

  • We started off incredible
    Connection undeniable
I swear I thought you were the one forever
    Forever

But your love was like a loaded gun
You shot me down like everyone
    ‘Cause everyone’s replaceable
    when you’re just so incapable
    of getting past skin deep

    Guess what another game over
I got burned but you’re the real loser
I don’t know why I wasted my time with you

You’re bad news, a history repeater
You can’t trust a serial cheater
    You’re good at hooking up
    But you suck at love

You played me like an amateur
Then stabbed me like a murderer
I’m left for dead, another one of your victims

    It’s not like you’re unpredictable
But your act is so believable
    I know it’s nothing personal
    It’s just business as usual
You’re good at what you do

And now I kinda feel bad for you
    You’re never gonna know
what it’s like to have someone to turn to
Another day another bed, it’s just a game inside your head

    You’re good at hookin up
You messed this whole thing up
You were such an awesome f%*!
    But you suck at love

  • I first heard this song in nightcore version. I was a new fan of simple plan so I didn’t know all the songs, but I would recognise this in any version!

  • Why your youtube channel name says you suck at cooking oh so you talking about us that we suck at cooking well you just made a hater

  • One of the reasons I will never hate this channel is because he puts a lot of effort into his videos with skits and usually some original music at the end of the video.

  • this is fitting now for me… after 4 months of talking to a girl and she will never open up about her issues or even simply talk to me i give up on love…. not life… u can be sad n still happy at same time… yet again SP says it 100%

  • I feel like someone is following this recipe and they heard to beat the eggs and cook them and they just wasted some eggs and now they have to eat then

  • You can make banana BREAD.
Just do what you usually do to make regular yeasted bread, but replace the water with the banana/sugar/egg/oil slurry.

  • He said that you will always play against someone better than you, well that is true for me but for my opponent they are playing someone worse than them

  • Hoping you see this comment. Wanting to commit to getting better and I’m starting with my controls. On PC with an Elite controller and i use the paddles. Do I need to map Roll Left and Right to each shoulder button? What do you do?

  • Watching banana cake oh yah I’m gonna make it
After true banana shaped cake comes fk this cake man I’m gonna dislike the video

  • Some of the best ice tea I ever had was some I had been given by the homeowners of the house we were renovating. It was a combo of tea and cranberry juice. It was great after hours of sweating in the hot sun. I didn’t get the recipe so when I try making it never comes out as good. With my luck it probably tastes wonderful only after you have spent hours in the hot sun.

  • Getting some serious Depeche Mode vibes from that outro
(It’s currently 1:52am and my eyelids are so puffy that I can barely see what I’m typing, but this felt particularly importabt(

  • 1:04

Dear creator pls do not tell our customers about the origins of the skittles and do not continue to other colours

    Sincerely,
    Skittles

  • I showed this to my 83-year-old Korean grandmother who doesn’t speak a word of English and she loved it:D Laughed all through the video.

  • This is probably the only man that doesn’t make me surprised when he throws a cabbage to the wall and it turns into Brussel sprouts

  • I have zero intentions of making milkshakes as my stomach would die, but I love living vicariously through this video. Also the milkshake grinding noises, the garnishes, and all of the fun foodie labels are HILARIOUS. Thank you for making today in the time of corona a little better.

  • I found some tea bags! not sure if i should put them in the water yet.. they seem scared of it maybe i should wait till they are ready or is it better if i just dunk them in?

  • Can I crash on someone’s couch???? Or get a ride deadass I’m a city in California so if I can tell you that city with the possibility of entering canada HMU.

  • Iced tea sucks so does tea. Coffee is the best so is expresso, sugarless coffee, milkless coffee, sugarless and milkless coffee, iced coffee, drip coffee, pourover coffee, chocolate coffee, mocha coffee which is just chocolate coffee, cold coffee, hot coffee, lattes, cappuccinos, americanos, warm coffee, luke warm coffee, frozen coffee, frozen coffee made into a coffee igloo, boiling coffee, strong coffee, weak coffee, lazy coffee, snow coffee, coffee olaf, coffee snowcone, Cofffee running out of ideas, coffee that has a speech impediment, coffee that went to college, stupid coffee, dumb coffee, smart coffee, Einstein coffee, coffee coffee, coffee water, water coffee, coffee milk, Cofffee who cant read the word coffee anymore because of how many times they have seen it, gamer coffee, loser coffee, winner coffee, hateful coffee, revengeful coffee and moldy coffee.

  • Just enough for a group of random strangers to drink before they ask for the location of some random mansion you don’t know about.

  • I’m trying to isolate myself from English until I learn Japanese. It might result into me fully forgetting English but who gives a fuck? I can relearn it, but instead of having a boring American accent, I’ll have an ass-kicking Japanese accent.

  • Ok so I tried the cucumber thing in a field next to my house. The next morning there was a decently sized crop circle (approx. 30 ft. Diameter) and the cucumber was gone. As ysac said, it was decent quality tea left behind. The only thing is, we couldn’t find our dog that day either and he has been missing ever since. I wanted to ask anyone if they knew whether or not it was possible the aliens could have taken my dog when they visited? Any ideas are appreciated as my family is deeply concerned and I feel guilty for being so ignorant. Thanks.

  • I feel like this video is a great motivator but at the end its gonna cause more damage than reward when reality hits of people just sucking. Its one of those moments when your kid tells you he’s going to be an astronaut but deep down u know that just wont happen you have to be born different and talented

  • When u grind ur ass off every day in free play and grind ranked to realise you average (plat 2)

It’s my tm8s tho I swear they acc suck so bad

  • one thing you can do to avoid burning yourself with hot tea is to make cold brew tea with teabag and water for a day and put it into the heat remover to keep it chill

  • YSAC: if you ever see this comment: I have just accidentally stumbled across this channel. I am moved to aweness by your wit and creativity. It must be a total “blast” and so fun to live or work with you. Thanks.

  • Can we take a moment to appreciate how he climbed a tree, tied tea bags to it, probably risked his safety, all for our entertainment?

  • youtube hasnt been showing your channel notifications so im missing out on all the stuff you casually rename like the molecule slower-downer

  • Man ive been playing baseball all my life, I have practice everyday. I go to the batting cages. I practice everyday. And I still suck I’m not new but I just suck man. At everything.

  • Doing 1v1s helps a lot too. There are SO many moments that are just awkward to say the least and theres no one to worry about so as you mess around you get better muscle memory. In low ranks they’re basically training dummies

  • My issue. I can’t find a mentor. All the mentors I ask for help tell me to fuck off and read a book. I know I’m lazy but I’m reading the books. No one will help you. You have to help yourself. Focus on small wins. Got it.

  • Dang it I thought this vid would’ve helped. There’s a difference in sucking at something in the beginning and getting better through time and being always clumsy no matter how much I learn my brain throws it out the window I’m stuck with mental issues but I’m also fat so people are sadly quick to judge me. So I bring everything and everyone down. And logically suck at everything I can’t pick up on anything and have literally no idea what to do. There are no jobs or careers for me other then retail hell in which seriously what’s the point living after 30? I wish I was a machine cause at least I would do the minimum of what people require of me without dropping or mishearing.

  • Why is everyone being so negative? This is a helpful video, at least for people starting a new skill (like me, ty). I guess some people were seeking for mental help and that’s why they’re so disappointed

  • Hoping you see this comment. Wanting to commit to getting better and I’m starting with my controls. On PC with an Elite controller and i use the paddles. Do I need to map Roll Left and Right to each shoulder button? What do you do?

  • I spent 2 hours a day in for a week in free play and went from bronze 2 to silver 3 and I’m still training and probably will rank up more

  • Black Lives Matter: how you can help. Check out this link for ways to help including donating, signing petitions, education, and other resources.

  • Dude your videos are very very helpful and I mean extremely helpful even though you got very few views don’t give up because you will become famous one day

  • I honestly don’t understand how the ranking system translates over game modes. I’m stuck at silver in duels, but in pretty much everything else I’m gold/platinum. I don’t play with parties to carry me either, it’s always randos. I don’t get it bruh

  • I feel like this video is a great motivator but at the end its gonna cause more damage than reward when reality hits of people just sucking. Its one of those moments when your kid tells you he’s going to be an astronaut but deep down u know that just wont happen you have to be born different and talented

  • He said that you will always play against someone better than you, well that is true for me but for my opponent they are playing someone worse than them

  • Didn’t even watch the vid. The answer to the question is that I only have about 112 hours in the game. I am gold (plat in hoops). I need more practice. Enough said

  • Ok, what I don’t get is how can you always go up against someone a little better then you cuz that means your opponent is going up against someone worse. It’s a paradox and it hurts my head XD

  • I love your videos so much! As a suggestion, I would love a sarcastic wang-jangling experience based on those fancy Japanese desserts that are so colorful and neat. But you can do whatever you like, because your content is fantastic anyway.

  • Rl has no skill unless you’re gc. Any game where 10k hours is needed to get to grips with the controls is a shit game. Add to that, that the community invented the mechanics then you have a BS game where rng covers the majority of the player base.

  • If you want extra peanut butter and chocolate in your peanut butter chocolate milkshake, use Peanut butter ripple ice cream instead of vanilla.

  • Out of this whole video, I want that honey comb the most. How the heck did you get a chunk of honey comb wtf. That should seriously be something you can buy more commonly like be able to order it off menues or have it incorporated into things. I’ve been wanting to try different types of honey combs for so long.

  • Just enough for a group of random strangers to drink before they ask for the location of some random mansion you don’t know about.

  • Khan: everyday play 1 hour of free play
I mean is this how addicted u guys are. Its just a game hop in have fun and still have a life plz not like random tm8 who gets in to spam what a save and score own goals from first second. Yh dont be that guy

  • I spent 2 hours a day in for a week in free play and went from bronze 2 to silver 3 and I’m still training and probably will rank up more

  • I first heard this song in nightcore version. I was a new fan of simple plan so I didn’t know all the songs, but I would recognise this in any version!

  • The best way to rank up is find a friend higher rank than you and let him boost you. Eventually you’ll be forced to adapt to how the player in those ranks play and have the mechanics of that rank. For example, my champion friend boosted me to diamond 2 in 2s and I can now solo queue 2s and hold my own weight. I’m almost diamond 3 actually! Don’t put me in a plat game tho I’ll lose every game.

  • Every rank reset, I end up at gold 1 or 2 division whatever. Then I go straight back down to silver. I suck at ranked. I go to casual and I’m great, better than a lot of people. I hate it. Almost too good for casual, not good enough for ranked

  • My issue. I can’t find a mentor. All the mentors I ask for help tell me to fuck off and read a book. I know I’m lazy, but I’m still reading the books. No one will help you. You have to help yourself. Focus on small wins. Got it.

  • Every rank reset, I end up at gold 1 or 2 division whatever. Then I go straight back down to silver. I suck at ranked. I go to casual and I’m great, better than a lot of people. I hate it. Almost too good for casual, not good enough for ranked

  • This legitimately sounds like someone is reading instructions off an Engrish manual from a strange product.

I’m not even joking, I once bought a roll up keyboard that said not to bake it in the oven or molest it with feet.
I don’t fucking know either, I’m assuming it meant to not store it someplace hot, but that second part…? Don’t step on it? Idfk… lmao

  • I showed this to my 83-year-old Korean grandmother who doesn’t speak a word of English and she loved it:D Laughed all through the video.

  • The less mentioned sentiment: it’s okay to suck at rocket league. Everyone has moments of spectacular failure at this game. I have days where I can see the hours paying off in terms of results, and there are days when I feel like I’m no better than when I started. I still have fun, and I think that’s what matters.

  • My problem is that I suck at school rn. I came in behind, my mind was slow, I started figuring out that in my competitive Bay Area California environment that if u have below an A in a basic class that wasn’t honors or accelerated or AP or anything, then you’re stupid. It pissed me off so much. My grades sucked. I started feeling there was no need to try. I’m a senior now and I can tell u there truly isn’t. All I’m trying to think abt his how to get back up from 2 years of community college and transferring to a UC. But my problem is that idk what I wanna do career wise, and each year my grades have sucked. Idk how to just make myself smarter. I wish I could alter my genetics coz I think I was born with a low Iq…

  • Im polish and can confirm tree perogies are a thing and are “for people with their heads so far up their asses they can’t tell the difference between tree bark and a good steak”
