Lost and Found: Ryan’s 115 Pound Weight Loss Journey By Steve Kamb • Last Updated: September 27, 2012 • 51 comments Nerd Fitness rebels come. He is pictured above in his “before” phase, and is studying to become a Catholic priest! Ryan spent the past two years struggling to find a path to a healthy lifestyle that worked for him. Somehow, that path lead him to Nerd Fitness and the our community, and an overall weight loss of 115 pounds (and counting!). Here is his story.

The couple eventually embarked on a weight loss journey, making small steps like swapping ground beef for ground turkey and walking. In the first month, they lost 30 pounds each. The couple eventually embarked on a weight loss journey, making small steps like swapping ground beef for ground turkey and walking.

In the first month, they lost 30 pounds each. As of September 2017, Amber has lost 185 pounds and Beau has lost 127 pounds. This also marks 110 pounds lost on Weight Watchers, 120 pounds lost total (the first 10 was lost on Keto before I decided to switch). It’s been such a crazy and long journey but I’ve loved it all. The couple eventually embarked on a weight loss journey, making small steps like swapping ground beef for ground turkey and walking.

  • i’m at the same age and close to the same weight(slightly lower than your weight) to when you started your journey. i really want to lose weight especially around my thighs/hips and stomach and just all around and seeing your video has really motivated me and gave me hope! you’re such an inspiration ☺️ thank you for sharing your journey with us.

  • No matter how hard Losing Weight can get, never lose the sight of your goals, keep your eyes focused on what you want, never forget where you started from. You’re doing great if you already took the first step, take a deep breath and keep going because myself I struggled for years to lose weight from 264lbs now I’m 163lbs in 6 Months

  • I have advice. From my own experience with weight loss, I can say that “ProVen” is a perfect supplement for those who are struggling to lose fat. I have tried a lot of diets, most of them were based only on cutting down the calories but I can tell you for sure that is not the answer. I was in despair until I discovered PrVen. This is the only supplement that targets the route cause of fat, elevated hormone levels due to toxic pollutants from the modern world. I have not only lost a LOT of weight but I feel healthier, my blood sugar levels are returning to normal ranges and I feel like a new person. For anyone sitting on the fence I would highly recommend giving ProVen a try for yourself.

  • Oh my gosh, I love your Mom! Brand new subscriber. I did Keto in 2018 and lost 40 lbs. Life happened and I stopped it and it all came back and then some! I really let myself go during this pandemic (eating a pint of ice cream a day, for example) and realized that I need to stop and get healthy especially after just turning 60. Thank you for sharing your journey and advice. ❤

  • Thankyou for this. I listened as I went for a walk today which was really hard for me.
    Can you do podcasts too.
Would be good to have motivational audio on body positivity and healthy bodies, I think more of such content should be pushed for sure. Thankyou

  • Before I got on birth control (Nexplanon) I was 200lbs 205lbs around that range and working out trying to lose weight bc I was at my “heaviest”. Within the first year of being on BC I gained sooo much weight. I’m literally 250lbs and I hate my body. I try to be positive but when summer comes around it gets hard:( and even though I have people I love who say they love me no matter what, I appreciate that but I wanna love me again. I’m officially done with feeling sorry about myself and want my body back, if not then better. I need to lose this weight for me, myself and I. Thank you for this video btw, proud and happy for your Journey ❤️

  • Mom looks wonderful she doesn’t have any fat on her neck no crepey skin her skin looks great. Did you have surgery on your face or neck? Oh I was in the store last night and walked down the bread isle and it’s amazing the smell was so overwhelming. Once the sugar and dough is out of your system you become so sensitive to the smells etc.

  • Shalom(peace) Ashley. So, I’m almost 39 and I’m pregnant with my 2nd baby in 2 years… I was working towards losing weight from the last baby when I found out about this pregnancy. I desperately don’t want to gain anymore weight. Do you have any pregnancy workouts or tips? Thank you for what you’ve shared…

  • Your mom has no problem with a camera on her!:) She is great and definitely gives hope to all us older ladies. I have tried the keto woe several times in the past few years, cut back on fat each time because of the URGENT trips to the bathroom. I’m trying it again, knowing that that can still happen, but thinking ‘just get through that and you’ll be fine’, because I find it very easy to eat, and one of the times I did it I lost 18 lbs. Granted that was water, but it was still something that was IN my body that had to come OUT. So here I go again for hopefully my ‘forever’ time. I use to eat a lot of pasta and it was usually processed too. There’s really NOTHING healthy about processed pasta.

  • what’s the biggest problem/challenge you deal with when it comes to weight loss/fat loss? if you can describe it in one word? thank you.

  • Love this video!! Been on Keto since July 22, 2019 down 45 pounds from 244. Kinda plateaued will keep on keeping on cause I know it works!

  • I am very grateful for this session. Please do ask your mom to share some of her insights as an herbalist. And it is a joy to see you together.

  • Hi Jess and mom!! You really should do more videos with your mom and her journey with Keto. So inspirational! Keep doing videos!!

  • You both-Ya’ll (as we say in the south) are the cutest, prettiest and sweetest!!! I am not obese-but I struggle with 15-20 pounds all the time. I know it is psychological-just bought a book on “why we eat”-hoping that will lead me to a better life. I LOVE WW-it always works for me, but if a stressful situation comes into my life, I eat my way through it!!!! I will binge all of your videos now. Wishing you both the best in life!!!

  • As a 65 year old who is just starting on her keto journey I thoroughly enjoyed hearing about your mum’s highs and lows. I too have been a yo yo dieter since my 20s. Thank you for your honesty. I feel inspired to keep my keto diet going. All the best to you both Lynne

  • I can really relate to having an obsessive personality. I’ve always been that way. I can also relate to stress/sadness eating. I eat a lot when I’m depressed as well. I’m trying slowly to add fitness into my life. I have a joint disorder and it makes things really hard. I also went on mental health meds (which saved my life!) but made me gain weight and always hungry. It’s been difficult to change my behaviour and my body but i’m trying.

  • Your mom is amazing. I just found your videos yesterday and am enjoying your help with my journey so much. Your mom’s journey was so amazing. I give her so much love for what she did to live a great life. Your parents are so wonderful. I look forward to catching up on all your videos. You look so great with your amazing weight loss.

  • I am 70 and weigh 356 my highest: 5’5″ & want to keto my way to normal but 6 doctors refused to help me reduce my meds as my BG goes down. How did you reduce your meds? My last dr. said i will be diabetic the rest of my life + get used to it! my contact is [email protected] if you have any thoughts to share with me. TY Love the channel. bye

  • I love you so much. Your positivity and vibe are just everything. You’ve inspired me to finally stop sitting in bed and actually workout.

  • This is exactly what i needed to see. I just started keto, again. The weight loss for me is so slow. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I just found your channel. Time for more research. Thanks for sharing.

  • I’m really enjoying this episode….story of my life!!! This is encouraging! Like I just said….ready to get back on the band wagon! Thanks. G.

Great job! You are an inspiration. God bless you. Love y’all. from your CheermomHealth, Sylvia Harris.

  • Fasting is safe if you incorporate it into your life right.

I think the doctor said it was dangerous to discourage people from trying it without doctor approval.

  • New to your channel came across from your video with Soph.
This is so inspiring. I want to be you! the struggle is real at the beginning (which is where I’m at), when I do my exercise session with my trainer (I do pole dancing), I feel amazing afterwards, but then motivating myself to do other 1hr sessions in the week is so tough! You’re giving me hope that it can become something I love xx

  • You guys do realize that the surgery is just a Kickstart the surgery itself doesn’t make you lose weight you have to change your eating and exercise too. Even if you have the surgery you can easily gain it back so yes they got the surgery but once again they can easily gain that back if they don’t try to keep it off.

  • My legs are thick but my stomach is flat but I used to weigh a lot and be overweight but I exercise everyday and I still think im fat and my parents are worried because I don’t eat as much

  • Thank You for sharing and motivating Me!!!
    You look Amazing!!!
I enjoyed Your story and its similar to Mine.
I’ve got 15-20 lbs I need to lose and going to attempt the same eating low carbs, no sugar, Myself.
I would be interested in seeing more about what You actually eat in a day and ideas.
Thanks again and Have a FANTABULOUS WEEK!!!!

  • Sheer determination and discipline…I love it! It is so amazing to find out just what we’re made of when we set our focus. Having a great support system is key to staying on course. I’m proud of you Kate R.! You ROCK!!! 😉

  • Hi my name is Mar l have been on keto for 3 mouths now I will be turning 65. I will be following you for encouragement. You guys are great,

  • I lived much of this…I’m 74 now. I’m only 5’2 now after 2 knee replacements. Im allergic to dairy, eggs, bananas & WHEAT. Top wt was about 240. My brother lost 60# on a Keto diet without STARVING! I don’t do well with hungry. I started about Jan 2020 & now weigh 165 so I will be on Keto & intermittent fasting for a while longer. BUT the end is in sight & is now possible. Before I tried Keto it was NOT possible for me.

  • How can anyone give a thumbs down? What is not to like? Congratulations! Awesome! I think there are a couple of things that helped you to succeed. A gym buddy, accountability through Instagram, your support system, having a personal trainer, but first of all your attitude. You committed to yourself anew, every morning. No matter what you did the day before. And you see this as a lifelong journey. Even though you lost the weight fast, you know this was a change for life, not a diet. Great that you also shared your thought processes when you struggled, like being self conscious at the gym or sitting in the car before going inside the gym to exercise or the host being offended bc you didn’t eat cake at the party,… This can help a lot of people bc these are the exact situations that many people struggle with before they give up. You told yourself the right things, that kept you going. Thanks for sharing!!! Good for you! Great achievement!!! Very impressive. I am not overweight but I want to get fitter again and eat healthier and it’s still a struggle. I watched this for inspiration and I remind myself that what I need to do is not nearly as difficult as what you had to do. Hope it works.

  • This has been the best story/journey I’ve heard ever. I’m 72 and have exactly the same issues as you. I hope it’s not too late for me. How long did it take you to hit your lowest weight after starting your keto eating? Did you start and do you still do the tracking? I’ve just started keto eating and I love it, but I really miss my sugar.. I was going to the cabinet for some graham crackers when I found you. Thank Youj both!!! Tomorrow is my 3rd day of forever. I’m diebetic, high blood pressure, cholesteral, fibromyalgia, thyroid issues, etc. I want to say good bye to them all. Right now I’m at 220 and need to hit 145-150 I think. I’m 5 ft. 3 inches.
Anyway if you can be of some help to be I sure would appreciate it. Carol F.

  • Love this! Every journey is different but really does begin with one step…sometimes many times over, in many different directionsr! Thanks for sharing your story, Mom.

  • Please make more 30 min HIIT dance workouts!!! Yours are by far the best on YouTube, a great mix of fun choreography and hard cardio

  • Dude great work. I saw this video a little more than a year ago for the first time. It was one of the things that helped inspire me to get in shape. I have currently gone from 364lbs this time last year, to now 246 and still going at 6″2. I love seeing your progress and I hope to come back and post my own video like this when I finish.

  • I completely know you feel, but this is still not sustainable. You basically need a reverse diet to speed up yet our metabolism. After restriction your body is gonna make you gain ot all back or you’ll have to stay on low carb low cal forever.Id love to lose weight but I’m never gonna diet again because I became very over weight dieting. I completely understand where your thinking is at.i am in the process of repairing a slowed metabolism.dietimg use to work for me until it didnt. Then I kept lowering my cals because I was confused why I wasn’t losing anything and I actually gained and gained over the last ten years.Stop that cycle when you’re young otherwise you’ll be losing and gaining and each time gaining more.I know it’s not fun to hear.good luck to you.

  • I am rarely prompted to comment to YouTube videos, in fact, I don’t think I have ever commented, but I could not even finish this video before deciding that I needed to comment. With that, this has to be the most real video that I have watched (and I have watched quite a few) regarding weight loss. The fact that you speak on doing what makes you happy, to find your fire and keep focus, to not worry about counting calories, to THINK about the logic in food choices, to find what works for you. Brilliant and very real. Thank you for inspiring me to know there are others that feel overwhelmed about all the counting what goes in and what comes out. I didn’t want to think about food that much and feed the obsession about food. Thank you for showing that weight loss can be accomplished without all the ‘fluff’. Rock on!

  • Thank you so much for this. I’m currently 20 years old and have struggled with very similar things to yourself. I’ve just found this and its so comforting to find someone that has managed to achieve their goals at a similar weight and age as myself and I find it so inspiring. Trying to find my way still but I’m hoping to have a similar story to you next year:)

  • Your mom is simply lovely and has the most beautiful personality. She looks tremendously healthy and is a role model! Hopefully I can get my wife to follow in her footsteps as I’m convinced the Ketogenic lifestyle is the way to live!

  • Thank you for sharing your journey. I have a treadmill and home gym. I was 155lb and 5% body fat when I retired from the army in 2010. I went from that to 180lb and 26% body fat by oct 2019. That was it for me. Started running again nov 1. As of today lost 15 lbs and body is starting to take shape again. I weigh myself every Friday. Now I am dropping 1 pound per week now. She is right, food and exercise and not quitting is the key to success.

  • Great job girl! Way to go! You rock! So inspiring! So true what you said about going to the gym alone! I had the same and now enjoy doing it alone listening to some podcast. But I hired a trainer in the beginning just so that I am not alone in the gym and also knwoing that someone is waiting there for me made not skip the training sessions.

  • Your inspired me and I did workout every day, since April 02, 2020. Now on August 02, 2020, I lost almost 40 lbs in 4 months!!! Please check: https://youtu.be/5urcknbrZS8

  • Ashley, I’m doing your one-hour cardio dance party. I’m also eating more healthly. My question, after I lose some weight will I eventually be able to eat whatever I want and keep the weight if I keep working out? Also, is it necessary to do the specific workout (to lose belly fat and tone the legs) if I’m doing the one-hour workout? It seems pretty complete to me.

  • Can someone give me tips for how to loose weigh cause my dad and sisters and brother are always getting mad at me for being fat and not dk how if I only eat 2 times a day

  • Hi Emma, just come across your channel and it’s so interesting and inspiring! I’ve started an exercise routine to start losing my baby weight. Have subscribed to your channel look forward to hearing from you. where a outs are you from in the UK, we are from Essex. All the best Sabrina x ps what is the app you use to track your BMI?

  • Amazing!!! I actually documented my Weightloss journey. I lost 85 pounds and then I gained it all back! I know my journey isn’t over. I need to get up and keep going. How are you doing now? Thank you so much for your inspiration! I’m going to keep going and hopefully learn a healthier way to lose weight and be able to keep it off. I’d love any support and encouragement I can get!!

  • Back in the day when her training and commitment was inspiration. Now she gained back 80lbs, and preaches self love instead of eating healthy.

  • Your mom is simply lovely and has the most beautiful personality. She looks tremendously healthy and is a role model! Hopefully I can get my wife to follow in her footsteps as I’m convinced the Ketogenic lifestyle is the way to live!

  • I don’t have a plan.I dont know what to do. I had a baby 4 years ago..and I still have that pouch . I’m ready to let it go and keep it off..

  • I appreciate this! I fell off this week! I havent seen any results & it made me sick! But I’m getting back on the horse. And I think the photos (which I hate taking) may help.

  • This video has very nice quality content. If you’re interested in how to start a journey I would recommend watching the whole clip because it sure does motivate!

  • Hey y’all I’m 222, I started last week. Lost 6 pounds counting calories, only water, no bread and rice, only wheat, veggies, and fruits. Low calorie snacks and eating less. I will be back in a year for the update. I see lots of people wanting updates on others who said they started, and they never updated. So I will set a reminder to come back, so y’all can see YOU can do it TOO! she is very inspiring! I’m suffering from treatments, working full time, and a toddler. Opioids too. So wish me luck! Changing mentally and physically for myself and my family!

  • Ma’am, I want to lose weight, tell me something that will reduce my weight. I am married after 4 months and the person I have a relationship with makes a lot of fun. Please help me, please please please.

  • Wow!!! This is awesome!! I’m on a weight loss journey to lose 100 pounds also. I’ve already lost 34 pounds. Thank you for sharing.

  • This may seem unrelated but the way you speak about your intense interests just disappearing overnight is exactly how my brain works. I am autistic and I suspect I also have ADHD, this combination often causes this kind of interaction with interests. It could be worth considering.

  • So for all the wrestlers I am going to say this. Twice a day I have to check my weight to see if I made weight for wrestling. And that can be mentally tough. And for the answer for that is that you need to focus on that you can do better tomorrow. Exercise more(I know that is easier said then done) but, she is a living testimony don’t give up

  • I have allergic bronchitis and so whenever i do high intensity workout i end up not being able to breath. I want to do High intensity workout but i can’t. What do i do??

  • Hi Jovana, I know my comment is a little late, but wow! Thank you for sharing your story, this has inspired me greatly. I am on the same journey of weight loss with a medical issuehypothyroidism. It is slow going, I started in Feb 2016, but persistence has paid off, and now people are noticing I look healthier and have dramatically changed my body shape. I have hit a plateau as of late, and your story has renewed my commitment to me. Thank you so much, and much love and success to you.:) xx

  • Love you and your family. I was doing Keto then got freaked out about all the meat so went on the Starch Solution diet for 12 weeks. My doc then did my labs, they were horrible and off the chart. So I am back on Keto. I have fasted for about 2.5 years but only for 16 hours a day but never completed a longer fast, so I’m going to give it a go. I’m at 140 and need to be at 125, those last 15 will never come off. It’s an adventure and one person experiment so I’ll let you know if I make it. Thanks for being you.

  • Hello, Can you please tell me how you got rid of chest fat? I have a similar chest fat as you had before. Some people are saying that it won’t go with exercise and I would have to go through surgery. Can you please share some advice on this

I have hit a plateau as of late, and your story has renewed my commitment to me. Thank you so much, and much love and success to you.:) xx

  • Great video. Your Mom is so charming. I just turned 69, restarted my Keto journey two and a half weeks ago, after a year of two surgeries and relying on others to feed me. I have only lost 11.5 lbs., But my blood sugar has dropped significantly. This is my way of life now. Thanks for all you do ❣️

  • The best weight loss Q&A ever. Love your honest, blunt, yet personable presentation. Great job at losing so much weight. You’ve motivated me to begin my journey.

  • I highly recommend finding a ZERONA or VERJU fat loss laser. These lasers were used in plastic surgeons offices to help liquefy fat BEFORE SURGERY. Now, they may be used as a stand alone, no surgery needed, just pee out the fat. You must buy at least 6 sessions. I lost 13 lbs in 1 month. Really obese individuals MUST FAST…its super easy but you MUST add salt to the water (1 teaspoon per liter) and you MUST take potassium gluconate pills (4)x500 mg pills per day!! Also, try the website
retraining the brain….sometimes obesity begins in the AMYGDALA, an ancient part of the brain which must be re-set due to high adrenaline from PTSD or high anxiety, emotional problems or even a snip in
    the DNA.

  • I have a mirror closet and I was playing my console one day and I looked at myself in the mirror and I hated the way i looked and that’s what got me started on Keto. I felt so ugly and I felt so nasty I hated the way my stomach protrudes, how my face looks, Ect. I also got tired of coworkers making fun of me being fat almost every day. I fucked up last week cuz I went to a buffet for a birthday and earlier this week because of a party. I regret it but now I’m going back and hopefully I can stick to it. I want these results.

  • i feel like you’re in my head. everything you talked about is exactly me, and I feel like I’m at the very beginning of my journey. I’m at the bottom of my matchu pitchu. thank you for sharing this <3

  • Sheer determination and discipline…I love it! It is so amazing to find out just what we’re made of when we set our focus. Having a great support system is key to staying on course. I’m proud of you Kate R.! You ROCK!!! 😉

  • I just realized you look like Stephanie from Bold and the Beautiful. You even sound like her a little.I would have never thought you were heavier then you are now.

  • I love your channel and your workouts are fun. You mentioned consistency. I’m in Australia and summer is coming up soon, it gets really hot, so cardio would be getting hot. I have a gym membership but I’m thinking of cancelling it since i found your workouts. I have weights at home too.

  • You’re amazing! Such a great attitude ❤️ what scales do you use to do the calculations? Mins always comes up with an err2 which drives me nuts!

  • Hi Ashley, I am a little over 40 and I need to change my body and my health. I know nothing works until you work it, but will your program work for someone my age?

  • I love your channel and your workouts are fun. You mentioned consistency. I’m in Australia and summer is coming up soon, it gets really hot, so cardio would be getting hot. I have a gym membership but I’m thinking of cancelling it since i found your workouts. I have weights at home too.

  • You’re amazing ☺️ I’m skinny and have fast metabolism, I have struggled to gain weight it’s so hard but when I came across this video… I had hope that if I gain muscle, eat healthy and even Dance one of my favorite things to do… I would hopefully activate my Goal…

  • Hi jovana Tq for this video. Just started this journey last week. All the questions are spot on. Was stressed and keep weighing myself. Until I saw this video I began to relax a bit. Wish me luck

  • Hi jovana Tq for this video. Just started this journey last week. All the questions are spot on. Was stressed and keep weighing myself. Until I saw this video I began to relax a bit. Wish me luck

  • I appreciate this! I fell off this week! I havent seen any results & it made me sick! But I’m getting back on the horse. And I think the photos (which I hate taking) may help.

  • I love this! I would like to join. Is it possible to buy it now but start the plan later? (After my vacation in two weeks)
And how long will the membership go, what happens, when the 30 day plan ends?

  • This was so great to watch, I am the same age as your mother. I have had the same results, minus the lap band. I was able to change my diet through Keto. Your mother reminds me of me. My numbers are perfect, in fact my endocrinologist drew a smily face on my results paperwork he was so happy with it. I need no medicines.
I have the weight down and feel great. Thank-you for an informative video that really encourages people in our age group.

  • I’m so happy this worked for you…this would NEVER work for me, restricting food groups always fails for me…counting calories is what works for me.

  • Inspirational. I was always active and in shape all throughout my 20s and 30s. Once I hit my 40s life took a turn that I didn’t expect and my eating habits and fitness went DOWNHILL. Time to take control of this body.

  • This was very motivating! And I am glad you talked about not starving yourself. I think it is so helpful for moms my age and for young people my daughter’s age who want to feel better by being at a healthier weight.

  • I just wanted to say I freaking love you No other YouTuber has ever inspired me so much and given me this much determination and positivity in my life.congratulations in ur journey and thank u so much this is what I’ve been looking for my entire life

  • Thank you so much, your down to earth advice got to me so much, it is a daily battle for me but you’re right just because you hit a plateau you don’t have to give up, I’ve notice my body tells me what I shouldn’t eat and just common sense not to indulge in toxic behavior most of that it’s because our anxieties not hunger.  kudos to you and thanks again.

  • I started keto 5 months ago and lost 38lbs! Love the low carb life style! I also do 8/16 fasting at least 4 days a week and workout 5 days a week!

  • Wonderful! I’m your mom’s age & SO relate to the yoyo journey! I too am at goal w/ Keto/IF & am the healthiest I’ve ever been. YAY! Thank God for TRUTH over that evil pyramid.

  • Excellent content, Jess. I’m over 50 and looking for support for my HFLC lifestyle. I feel like I’ve been chatting with good, trusted friends after watching this video. <3

  • Wow such an amazing video. Congrats too! ❤️ I just lost 30 pounds & agree on the intermittent fasting & low carb! Weighing your self and also measuring your body for inches too helps.

  • You look so great, im trying to loose weight as well with fasting, but im currently trying the snake juice diet, and im vlogging all of it on my channel, you guys check it out

  • Hi you look great..
I have a question…i did keto for a few months then had my blood work done…my cholesterol was through the roof…and dr said keto is not your friend… i just turned 60and want to feel good..im at my highest weight i feel miserable…will the numbers stablelise after a while…?
    Thnks

  • I’m the same weight 184lbs I gained so much weight from my second iud insertion.. and quarantine. My normal weight is 140. Hoping I can mentally get through this!!!!

  • Love this video!! Been on Keto since July 22, 2019 down 45 pounds from 244. Kinda plateaued will keep on keeping on cause I know it works!

  • You resemble Teresa Giudice. Good job on the weight loss. I’m currently 168lbs down from 197lbs and only 5’3″. Doing IF and low carb currently. Never heard of the JLo diet will give it a try to kickstart more weightloss as I’m plateauing already.

  • Your exercise is so much fun! I did it! Now,vto get my diet together! I am definitely going to have a better fitness regimen in 2020! I have a goal to be out of the 230 lbs range before the end of the summer!

  • You’re such an inspiration! I enjoyed every minute of this video. It’s exactly what I needed to jumpstart my health journey. THANK YOU

  • Hi everyone! I just posted a video about how my life changed after losing 120 lbs. I hope this helps. Feel free to message me at anytime for questions <3

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S7N5g4XOWeM

  • I continue to come back to this video when im feeling unmotivated and\or disheartened… thank you so much for giving me the support I need <3

  • Emma, in the span of 47 minutes, I have fallen completely in love with you and your story! I am o proud of you, and this has confirmed the journey that I am on as well! I lost 50 lbs in 18 months, and am still striving daily to feel amazing in my body. Thank you for sharing!

  • I don’t understand how people eat low carb, I feel like everything has carbs in it. I literally just had a protein bar that’s only 190 calories and has 21 grams of protein and the thing has 22 grams of carbs! I’m also vegan so carbs are pretty much all I can eat

  • I love love that you do those short term crazy diets! I love doing them when i need a quick fix, so many people are so judgmental when you do one! But they’re so motivating!

  • I like you so much Thanku for your transparency. You look like such a popular nose in the air girl and I totally appreciate how you are totally not that and such a down-2-earth glamazon! My apologies to have judged you but I’ve really appreciated being debunked

  • I am just like you in the wake up one day and I’m not Interested in something that I was obsessed with… It’s a personality trait that I hate about myself. I do this with Soo many things.
I recently did it with exercise and healthy living…and I’m trying to get back to it now. Which for some reason is SO hard I feel like I’ve lost all my motivation and progress. Now I’m struggling to convince myself to workout again! It sucks.. I feel disappointed in myself that I only stayed consistent for like 3 months.

  • This was great. We are basically the same person when it comes to weight loss. I started doing the same things you did on Monday and I’ve lost 7 lbs in 6 days. I posted a link for other people to watch on FB! ❤️❤️❤️

  • Would have never guess u were over weight, our bodies are similar pre weight loss, So this is motivating, You look incredible! 20lbs might be a stretch huh lol but w.e makes u happy

  • Why did u become heavy again? I was just checking out your recent pictures on insta! Not that I’m rude, I’m simply curious! Because I’m currently on my weight loss journey! I’m sorry if i sound mean!

  • Madison, I no this is an older video but if you see this comment could you please tell me what lip product you were wearing in what shade? Thank you so much for both your advice and the answer to my question. LOL

  • Love the video! I am currently doing intermittent fasting. I went from 286 to 261 in 3 months. Motivation is key! New subbie showing love!

  • Wow that’s amazing! I’m hoping to lose 80 this year. About to start a vlog series on my YouTube Channel. Congradulations! Good for you!

  • I don’t have a plan.I dont know what to do. I had a baby 4 years ago..and I still have that pouch . I’m ready to let it go and keep it off..

  • Emma, I have never met you, but you seem like the bravest person. Thank you for inspiring me to loose wait, I was very unhappy to start with, and little things like getting out of bed would be hard for me. You inspired me to get out of bed and change my lifestyle. Thank you❤️

  • I follow all those influencers you listed and find them so helpful! But girl, there is something about YOU . I’m so moved by your story and can relate to so many of the things you name about yourself. (Obsessive to disinterested right here ‍♀️) I’m so encouraged by you and proud of you girl! Keep it up

  • This is the sweetest, most inspiring, motivational video I’ve ever seen on this topic. Like exactly what I needed to hear and your way of explaining is just so caring. Thank you so much for this.

  • Hi Ashley, I am a little over 40 and I need to change my body and my health. I know nothing works until you work it, but will your program work for someone my age?

  • This is the best weight loss video transformation talk I’ve ever listened to. I was watching this at night and will definetily sleep like a baby afterwards after I’m done stalking her instagram. At least now i know that cardio is not only important when it comes to losing weight but also strength training is too. This girl has really spoken to my soul and the way she she described her life was actually prettymuch close to mine apart from the friends part. Anything is possible with change and if she did it, I can also too.I mean change is inevitable but its worth it.

  • This is the only video like this I have been able to finish. I loved it. I’m 13 and think I should be healthier but needed the inspiration. Thank you!

  • Total inspiration. Got a very similar history to you. Throw some medical complications in my now adult life but I’m so determined to loose weight and I’m definitely going to look into weight training!!xx

  • Very good work!! Your love and connections are palpitating and touching!! Hope your daughter don’t have to go through what these 2 suffering generationsv have to go through ever again!!

  • Thank you for your channel. Thank you for encouraging us and for helping us not feel so “alone”. People who have never battled with their FORK and SPOON have nooooooooo idea what those of us who are prone to obesity go through……you have helped me so much many times when I felt hopeless. Thank You:-)

  • I found your channel when trying to find ‘bigger girl’ clothing hauls to see what would fit my new body (I put a lot of weight in during pregnancy and kept it on) and you gave me so much confidence. But you’ve also been the only person that has admitted that you can preach body positivity while being bigger, while appreciating that you also need to be mentally healthy which you realised you weren’t being. Losing this weight doesn’t mean you hated your body, it was about realising you weren’t mentally healthy and mentally strong. Your journey is honestly so inspiring. I’ve not changed my lifestyle because I thought it would mean I was going back on me saying I don’t mind being a bigger girl now, but I’m so unhealthy that I am going to be following your tips for the physical and mental help rather than focusing on weight loss numbers ❤️

  • For me I have to weigh myself daily also. People always say don’t worry about the number on the scale but I’m the same way how I need limits and to understand which foods affect my weight positively or negatively. Congrats on your weight loss journey

  • Today is the first day I have found your account and I absolutely love it! You are such an inspiration. And you give me insane Whitney Simmons vibes! You are both two amazing motivating women! I can’t wait to binge watch more videos of yours!

  • Your exercise is so much fun! I did it! Now,vto get my diet together! I am definitely going to have a better fitness regimen in 2020! I have a goal to be out of the 230 lbs range before the end of the summer!

  • Hey guys,

Would You Like to Know Exactly What to Eat to Lose Fat and Get Healthy Without Giving Up Your Favorite Foods or Starving Yourself?

here is the KETO meal plan for free email me: [email protected] gmail.com

  • It’s like watching myself in a video like horse riding and all…. I’m just waiting for the skinny part to kick in now

Oof… just heard the emotion weight comment and I felt that with tears in my eyes

  • Great transformation….

This is how my 4 year old and Daddy Pig helped me lose weight 😉

    https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=YeJCtdq8hjQ&t=2s

  • I have never ever heard someone explain how I feel and what I’ve been through in life so well… down to the point where I also was obsessed with horse riding, and then dropped it!

TY Love the channel. bye

  • Just a quick comment to say that I’m like that too. I’m diagnosed add (adhd without the hyperactivity!) Google it. It will make sense!

  • For me I have to weigh myself daily also. People always say don’t worry about the number on the scale but I’m the same way how I need limits and to understand which foods affect my weight positively or negatively. Congrats on your weight loss journey

  • Girl I’m about 187 too and carry it all over my body also. So people tend to tell me I look good. Meanwhile my Dr told me to lose weight. Been about a week for me and it’s harrrrrrd ugh

  • My two teaspoons of sugar in a mug of coffee/tea, is now down to 1 teaspoon of honey… better already but still find it too bitter without ‘:) Baby steps…
Thanks so much for sharing, it’s helping me already, evaluating my habits! I’ve started doing IF and workouts most days a month ago, that’s already a record to me, sad I know. But I’m going for a long term change!

  • Yes your rite girl the scale is good to keep track of our weight but most important the way we feel in our clothing and our body inches.. great video very Motivating Los Angeles California

  • Whenever we succeed and I mean truly succeed, in the event that we conquer we become even more powerful and effective as individuals, we enter a new phase and so you can actually transform. This modification no matter what it could be and for whatever cause, is exactly what makes you better as an individual. Grab hold of the improvement and therefore let’s all together make 2018 the most excellent year of our lives!

  • I just found your account and so far I’ve watched about 3 of your videos now. I swear to god we are the same person. We have soooo much in common it’s scary.

  • Omg girl you really let yourself go, I couldn’t believe when I saw your Instagram, what happened to the commitment you were talking in this video

  • I loved watching you and your mom. Thank you for the information. I’m 71 and tried Keto last year and it worked great; however, my granddaughter that lives with me. She is a carb eater, so I have all these things I love to eat in my home so I crashed off Keto. I need to find the best way to fight

  • Thank you for making such an informative video! You did it all properly and there’s no fads, so glad you have been so transparent in this vid

  • I can relate to how eating low-carb works best (for my body). I spent the first 3 months of my fitness/weight loss journey, not seeing any results all because I was encouraged to eat 5-6 small-ish meals a day and the foods I was eating (though healthy) weren’t low enough in carbs. I was even working out 5 days a week on top of that, and it still wasn’t enough for me to see results. The scale wasn’t moving and I was so frustrated. But still determined.

It really can be hard to get that nutrition just right when it comes to weight loss and figuring out what works best for our bodies. I’m so glad that I’m just finally aware that low-carb is best for my body type. I started Intermittent Fasting yesterday after hearing great things about it. And now after watching your video and seeing that you did IF, too, to get results makes me feel so much more encouraged that I’m heading in the right direction!

  • This video is super motivating! I feel the same way I get obsessed with an idea and lose interest almost immediately; especially when I’m hungry and craving sweets. I recently cleaned out my fridge and completely changed my diet I’m feeling different this time around hopefully it will stick!

  • Waw, i didn’t knew you before but i really liked your video. I think that you have an amazing journey, you have been throught so much, I just wanted to say congratulation for your hard work

  • Your an inspiration. I’ve been struggling the same as you and I know I need to change there’s wedding I’m going to next year my goal is to look amazing for it!

  • My legs are thick but my stomach is flat but I used to weigh a lot and be overweight but I exercise everyday and I still think im fat and my parents are worried because I don’t eat as much

  • Ok!!! So……. this is probably the one video that really open my eyes.. in the sense that you are real as fuck!!!! Raw!!!! N that’s what I need. I lost 50lbs after having my son (only gained 30) but gained 25 after just for not giving a f*** but now I’m like wtf I need to get back at it.. n u truly inspired me….. d

  • You are seriously so adorable and relatable. I looooove listening to the way you made this journey your own. And being body positive but still having goals is so important! I have a similar story. I moved away from friends and family after getting married. It was a very hard 3 years of depression, anxiety, and I got in a car accident and was inactive while healing. Now we have moved back and I’m doing way better, and I do find my body beautiful. But I’d love to lose that emotional weight! Thanks for your advice and love and honesty

  • I’m 182 I try and eat “ healthy “ but I have teens and they love their sweets n stuff. I have no will power ( I’m tearing up writing this because it’s pathetic) if let’s say a box of doughnuts are on the counter every time I pass it I HAVE to eat a piece. If not it’s like it calls me over n over until I do. I’m definitely going to try and do what you have done. This is the first video of yours I have watched I’m hoping that you have food/ progress videos. Thank you for posting this it gives me hope

  • wooow soo amazing. I am new on your channel. youre story helps me alot. I am also an emocional eater. (sorry for my english) i am on my start of my journey and i enjoy it so much. thnx for your amazing story.

  • Wow!!! This is awesome!! I’m on a weight loss journey to lose 100 pounds also. I’ve already lost 34 pounds. Thank you for sharing.

  • Hi, nice to meet you i just found your channel:) My legs are very similar in shape to yours but are less toned and i have more celulite. But the shape of the legs, the knees, giiiirl we could be related haha. Do you go to the gym or do some exercises to get ride of the celulite or yours are really like that with no effort? Thanks in advance. greetings from Portugal:)

  • I have never cried at a Youtube video before, I am currently that 22 year old that you were & have never heard anyone say the things I am feeling out loud before. I adore you & you give me the motivation to adore myself one day too, thank you

  • This is exactly what i needed to see. I just started keto, again. The weight loss for me is so slow. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I just found your channel. Time for more research. Thanks for sharing.

Great job! You are an inspiration. God bless you. Love y’all. from your CheermomHealth, Sylvia Harris.

  • You are such an inspiration! I’ve been on keto for 4 weeks and only lost 7 pounds. I’m a little disappointed hearing stories of weight losses of 15-20 pounds from others but I am taking it one day at a time. Thank you for the great content ❤️

  • I just started the Jlo 10 day challenge no carbs no sugar. And yes it’s challenging but I am seeing pounds coming down. I can’t wait to see the ending result. Thank you Madison

  • 4th April I was overweight sad depressed and unfit…something clicked and I started exercising and I’ve lost 32lbs I’m 5lbs from goal. My body fat was 44% it’s now 20% my waist was 36 inches it’s now 27 my hips were 46 inches they are now 40 but the best thing is I feel amazing I can run after my 7 kids now without getting breathless and I can wear size 10 dresses without spanx I was a size 16! Everything you said I can relate to but as I’ve 7kids 2 are disabled the gym is not an option so I’ve done it at home and I’m proud of myself for the first time in my life! I’m 41 years old and I’m fitter than I was in my 20’s…I do cardio and weights and the weights have changed my shape! Ive counted cals in my fitbit and found it surprisingly easy Well done you are inspiring so many!

Carol F.

  • The best weight loss Q&A ever. Love your honest, blunt, yet personable presentation. Great job at losing so much weight. You’ve motivated me to begin my journey.

  • Hi Jess and mom!! You really should do more videos with your mom and her journey with Keto. So inspirational! Keep doing videos!!

  • i am on a weight loss journey i have to go slow cause im a kidney transplant patient and my medicine is weight dependant but ive lost so far 10 pounds in 3 months my big thing i think was when i snack i dont look at what a serving is so i was eating like 3 times the calories and am drinking more water only having one coffee a day the way i like it. i also found out i am highly allergic to dairy

  • Excellent content, Jess. I’m over 50 and looking for support for my HFLC lifestyle. I feel like I’ve been chatting with good, trusted friends after watching this video. <3

  • Hi my name is Mar l have been on keto for 3 mouths now I will be turning 65. I will be following you for encouragement. You guys are great,

  • I just had a baby a year ago, I got an iud, I don’t eat healthy, I’m hardly exercising, I’m back at the weight I was when I went into labor, except I don’t have a baby in my belly I could cry looking at my body, I feel like shit, I have zero energy, I have a double chin now, I can’t fit into the size 8 shorts I got like 6 months ago (when I weighed almost 20 pounds less). I have 30 pounds to lose to get back to the weight I was when I first got pregnant.

  • Your Mom is so cool! Great video, the family “before” photos are inspirational. And I realize that on some level they are very personal and all, you all are very brave for sharing your story.

  • I am very grateful for this session. Please do ask your mom to share some of her insights as an herbalist. And it is a joy to see you together.

  • Omg girl you really let yourself go, I couldn’t believe when I saw your Instagram, what happened to the commitment you were talking in this video

  • Hi you look great..
I have a question…i did keto for a few months then had my blood work done…my cholesterol was through the roof…and dr said keto is not your friend… i just turned 60and want to feel good..im at my highest weight i feel miserable…will the numbers stablelise after a while…?
    Thnks

  • I loved watching you and your mom. Thank you for the information. I’m 71 and tried Keto last year and it worked great; however, my granddaughter that lives with me. She is a carb eater, so I have all these things I love to eat in my home so I crashed off Keto. I need to find the best way to fight

  • Your Mom is so cool! Great video, the family “before” photos are inspirational. And I realize that on some level they are very personal and all, you all are very brave for sharing your story.

  • Amazing video! So inspirational and motivational Just what I needed ❤️ Keep on the good work! Such a determination! It’s amazing to see how far you have come!

  • 59 and really enjoyed this, just what I was looking for today. I would be interested in what herbs play a role in her life now. I’ll subscribe and check out your other videos.

  • I turned 30 in December 2019 and I was not happy with my weight none of clothes fit me I would struggle to find a cute outfit in my closet because everything I would put on would should my stomach my arms my thighs. I was determined to make a change but I tried counting calories that did not work for me I would loose 5lbs max in a month so I started doing research and what helped me was Taking away carbs and sugar I’ve noticed a huge huge difference in my body within two months I’ve lost 25lbs.
    I am 5’2 original weight 173lbs
    Now I am 148lbs
    My goal is 120lbs
I genuinely thought because I just turned 30 years my body was not going to loose the weight but no not the case.

  • The nice thing that most people don’t know..YOU DO NOT HAVE TO WORKOUT to lose weight. It’s sad you forced yourself in tears to work out. The ‘system’ has lied to us. Calories in Calories out is a lie and you can lose weight just by not eating carbs. Hope you’re still doing well! XX

  • i was 245 pounds i am not 180 pounds and still going. just posted a weightloss video. so proud of you girl!! i know it can be a struggle. you look amazing:)

  • i just wanted to say i know losing weight can be difficult ( believe me i know) but i found out about proVen and i gotta say, it has helped a lot. It’s basically an all-natural formula that contains only ingredients that are completely safe!! i will say, don’t rely on one thing though. exercising, eating a balanced diet and your mental health. those all count too but trust me, this supplement will make it much easier. check it out:) @t

  • You both are beautiful and fun! I am 1 month into it now and so much to say! Starting to feel better and I am finally in ketosis. Love your videos and thanks so much for posting…it’s inspiring! • Thank you so much! I have never been as committed but I have always wanted to lose weight. After quarantine started, I gained weight and FELT TERRIBLE. My jeans stopped fitting, and now I have been working out and eating healthy for a little over two months, and five already lost 9.6lbs and I couldn’t be happier. I am so proud, now my jeans are loose.

  • I don’t know why, after loosing wt, everyone start looking handsome,
But the thing is that, I was 95 In June
But now I am 83 and still going ( for 70).
Don’t think that 70 is slight less than normal wt, because my age is just 16.
So I will rock the world, promise to me, from 41.5 ( belly size ) to abs.
    Thanks for motivation yaar

  • Guys so I’m young and I weigh 310 IBS. And at school we have to sit in a desk attached with a chair and I’m concerned I’m not gonna fit in it soon. Do you guys have any suggestions on how to lose belly fat

  • Hello, Can you please tell me how you got rid of chest fat? I have a similar chest fat as you had before. Some people are saying that it won’t go with exercise and I would have to go through surgery. Can you please share some advice on this

  • Great video!!! So glad to see you on YouTube….really thought you were already on it LOL. But would love to see video on the JLo cleanse you did. You look amazing by the way. xoxo

  • Ma’am, I want to lose weight, tell me something that will reduce my weight. I am married after 4 months and the person I have a relationship with makes a lot of fun. Please help me, please please please.

  • You both are beautiful and fun! I am 1 month into it now and so much to say! Starting to feel better and I am finally in ketosis. Love your videos and thanks so much for posting…it’s inspiring! • New subscriber here. I was fascinated with your mom’s journey (same age as me) I have been down a similar route (no surgery though). I am following your guide and starting Keto today. Thank you.

  • nice man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Dang…you look great. Great job. Proud of you. I recently lost 55 pounds. I was 265 and starting eating better and walking. I feel so much better. I’m not done. I would like to take off about 25 more pounds. Anyways…great job, you should be so proud

  • YOU ARE GOALS. I started January 9th, 2020. I’ve lost 13.6 lbs since then. I am meal planning with a nutritionist, and go to Planet Fitness 5+ days/week.

  • Wow that’s amazing! I’m hoping to lose 80 this year. About to start a vlog series on my YouTube Channel. Congradulations! Good for you!

  • i just wanted to say i know losing weight can be difficult ( believe me i know) but i found out about proVen and i gotta say, it has helped a lot. • I know this is an old video…but I just came across it. I watched this and cried the whole time. Every single part of your journey is like looking in a mirror to me and I just know the struggles and pain all too well. I am starting this journey and see life and happiness in you and it gives me so much hope and motivation. You are inspiration and I am so happy for all your accomplishments!

  • It’s so true about water, careful though not to flush out all the electrolytes, especially if working out hard. Adding salt to your water/food can help.

  • Good for you! I intermittent fast and weight myself daily also
Last year I lost 45 pounds and am now in shape. I had a lady ask if I lost at least 80! Damn, being short really shows weight!

  • So this is what you’ve been up to?!?! I love it. About to hit my 50 pound weight loss and My reward was hiring a trainer….right on time. Will check it out.

  • Can someone give me tips for how to loose weigh cause my dad and sisters and brother are always getting mad at me for being fat and not dk how if I only eat 2 times a day

  • You are so so so very amazing. Throughout this video I laughed, I cried and got so inspired. You are such a strong, driven, motivational girl. Thank you so much for inspiring me xoxo

  • Thank u for posting this video it’s inspired me a lot. I just started my journey. I have had health problems and have always had problem staying motivated your story has showed me what I can accomplish.

  • Dang…you look great. Great job. Proud of you. I recently lost 55 pounds. I was 265 and starting eating better and walking. I feel so much better. I’m not done. I would like to take off about 25 more pounds. Anyways…great job, you should be so proud

  • You are such an inspiration! I’ve been on keto for 4 weeks and only lost 7 pounds. I’m a little disappointed hearing stories of weight losses of 15-20 pounds from others but I am taking it one day at a time. Thank you for the great content ❤️

  • Guys so I’m young and I weigh 310 IBS. And at school we have to sit in a desk attached with a chair and I’m concerned I’m not gonna fit in it soon. Do you guys have any suggestions on how to lose belly fat

  • Fasting is safe if you incorporate it into your life right.

I think the doctor said it was dangerous to discourage people from trying it without doctor approval.

Rock on!

  • Awesome content your weight loss journey is so motivating. We are also on a weight loss journey and seeing this is so inspiring and we love seeing things like this. Will definitely sub and would really appreciate seeing your support on are channel

XX

  • I don’t know why, after loosing wt, everyone start looking handsome,
But the thing is that, I was 95 In June
But now I am 83 and still going ( for 70).
Don’t think that 70 is slight less than normal wt, because my age is just 16.

    Thanks for motivation yaar

  • Inspirational. I was always active and in shape all throughout my 20s and 30s. Once I hit my 40s life took a turn that I didn’t expect and my eating habits and fitness went DOWNHILL. Time to take control of this body.

  • Back in the day when her training and commitment was inspiration. Now she gained back 80lbs, and preaches self love instead of eating healthy.

  • I’m really enjoying this episode….story of my life!!! This is encouraging! Like I just said….ready to get back on the band wagon! Thanks. G.

  • This is the first video I watched of yours:) so inspiring watching videos like this keeps me so motivated. I started off at 222 pounds at my heaviest I am down to 172 pounds the goal is 154 pounds:) I know I have got this. I have got my eating right just want to tone up now thinking about getting a PT to help me tone up. Dont want to rush back to the gym just yet still releasing the weight alone on diet alone and exercise.x

  • YOU ARE GOALS. I started January 9th, 2020. I’ve lost 13.6 lbs since then. I am meal planning with a nutritionist, and go to Planet Fitness 5+ days/week.

  • Please make more 30 min HIIT dance workouts!!! Yours are by far the best on YouTube, a great mix of fun choreography and hard cardio

  • You’re amazing ☺️ I’m skinny and have fast metabolism, I have struggled to gain weight it’s so hard but when I came across this video… I had hope that if I gain muscle, eat healthy and even Dance one of my favorite things to do… I would hopefully activate my Goal…
