I learned a lot during this time because up until this point most of my meals revolved around creamy pasta.

This was also when I began my Sunday meal prep routine with my husband. So far, I’ve lost ten pounds and I can say that meal planning, along with incorporating exercise into my schedule, has helped me shed the weight. While I’m still on this journey, I wanted to share my meal prepping process and a few tips I’ve learned along the way. Let’s talk about Meal Prep today.

I personally find it is the best way to get all my nutrition in every day. Being a mom of 2 is very busy and hectic at times and knowing that I have all my food ready in the fridge makes me stick to my macros and follow my diet each day. I usually meal prep. Meal prep and making meals does not need to take hours.

Find an extra 1-2 hours to dedicate to your nutrition. Place everything in grab-and-go baggies or containers for quick meals and snacks. Excuse 4: “I don’t know what to cook.” New Mindset: Meet with a nutritionist. Your goals will determine what you should be cooking and eating.

Meal prepping is the hottest food trend lately, and frankly, I couldn’t be happier! I’ve been meal prepping for years simply because it’s a great way to save time, money, and reduce waste in the kitchen, so I’m happy to see so many people getting wise to this method. Instead, “think of a meal as a veggie, a protein and a starch,” she says.

So for instance, a quick dinner could be roasted pork loin, broccoli, and sweet potato. 3) Utilize leftovers. Write your menu: When planning your menu and prep, rely on some tried and true recipes that you’ve cooked before, with one or two new recipes thrown in.

  • Why cram everything into a jar? Just get some Tupperware and layer it all there. When you are hungry, you just open the Tupperware and eat. This videos so dumb.

  • How can i get collagen while vegan without using animal products, (i’m plant based + gelatin now but i want to be really fully vegan) i hurt my knee and i need collagen for it (so for now i’m using gelatin, i know it’s not vegan, but i’m trying to find something vegan with collagen, because it helps with knees, healing and pain)

  • According to Ayurveda anything that is cooked should be consumed within the 4-5 hours of time. So keeping food for a week is a bad idea and I have experienced it personally how adverse that can be on your health.

So many other videos use a ton of “pantry staples” that they don’t count 8n the budget, or they fudge the numbers (like, I used half a $1 can of beans therefore I made lunch for $0.50! On Feb 2020 started working on it. Now I lost only 5 kgs in 5months, I am with it, because m learning and building my habits in the process. I also believe that quick fix will not last longer.

  • Lmao, 120g of boiled chicken and some broccoli is 300 calories at the most. Do you eat only 900 calories a day? This is the worst diet I’ve ever seen and I have 300g of grilled chicken for lunch and dinner with broccoli and quinoa.

  • For the bulgur salad you can use paprika paste instead of tomato paste! It adds a little bit of a kick because it’s a little spicy and has more flavor. Or you can mix the tomato and paprika paste:)

  • Yes, I too am guilty of jumping from diet plan to others as well, I do believe that I need to have tried every single fat reduction system that was available, however eventually not one of them made it easier for me to shed and maintain the weight off.     But as I age it’s harder to lose weight and keep my skin looking good.
    I’m 51 and wear a size 12.

  • Hey Chloe! I am taking your 2 week shred program, today is day 1. I belong to India, here we have a traditional life style Thing called ayurveda! They tell you everything you should do to nourish body mind and soul. If you are at all interested see to it. Also one too from me which I got from ayurveda is to try and eat local foods, foods which are made or grown within 100km radius of where you live, it really helps. And you try yougurt with jaggery power first thing in an empty stomach, you will have a better gut ( if not jaggery, just yougurt)

  • Today is the day I will eat healthy! Ofc I will have cheat days but not so often ☺️ I’ll update to show everyone my journey!
    The past 2 days I tried eating less calories do lots of workouts and I haven’t seen any progress yet which kinda looses some of my motivation BUT after all it has just been two days my mental health has gone �� and weight is the only thing in my mind I took a shower and stood in front of my mirror for 10min completely judging myself I couldn’t even look down and look at my stomach without completely breaking out after that I just layed in bed so far not so good after taking that shower I was contemplating going back to my old ways and starve myself what I ate today was strawberries water grapes I’m super disappointed in myself since I’m trying to get myself to have a better mindset but somehow I can’t, tomorrow I’m hoping I’ll have a better day:) oh and I noticed how big my thighs wore and I’m not sure if having big thighs is the beauty standard or not social media is the last place I want to be since I know I’ll have new insecurities by the end of the day

  • I tried this and had a lot of expectations. My main one was to be able to finish prepping in an hour or a little bit over that but not too much. I literally started at 12pm and didn’t finish until 7pm and that is without the clean up yet. Yup, not joking. I was so excited for this and promised I would buy her ebook if I liked it but so disappointed that it took forever. What took so long was she literally discusses one meal after the other in this video so you are literally clueless if there’s more to be chopped later on. I watched it over and over again but can’t memorize which ones get chopped and such. I wish she had just showed in the beginning which items needed to be cut up and then proceeded with the actual recipes. That would have saved me so much time rather than going back and forth. Another thing is I didn’t really like the food that much so not only did I waste time but wasted money as well. Will not recommend. Best bet is to stick with Pinterest healthy recipes.

  • Congratulations on losing all the weight! My goal is also to lose 70 pounds. I currently weight 14st 12 pounds. I found your video while looking up loose skin. I have gained my weight very fast due to late miscarriage depression, I kept eating as if I was pregnant as if I was pregnant because I was In denial. Due to getting to 22 weeks pregnant and now having gained over 4 stone in 2 years, I am covered in stretch marks. Especially my tummy area, they are like huge red gouges out my skin. My tummy skin feels different, like its lost its elasticity. I’m afraid that when I lose weight it’s going to stay like that. I am currently on a diet of leafy greens, fruit veg, no carbs, and lean meats and fish.

    Like you I’m a bit fickle. For me, making a few meals and then eating them all week just doesn’t work. What DOES work for me is meal prepping but freezing the majority of it. In no time at all, I’ve got a huge variety in my freezer, and I can grab whatever I”m in the mood for. It keeps me from getting bored, everything is homemade, and the ingredients don’t go to waste.

  • I dont understand why meal prep is always (ok, maybe just mostly) for five days or less. I usually have to eat all seven days of the week, so you would always have to budget whatever the meal plan is, plus extra for the rest of the days?

Through social media and society’s portrayal of women, I find myself craving to wear tight or sexualized garments that I’m not comfortable in.   • Like no joke Guys i lost 40 Kg in only 3 Month with only Almased some would say you will have Yoyo Effect or its not good for the Body but i dont think so first of since i lost my Weight i didnt gain it back even throu i destroy at least 2 Bags of Chips each Weekend and my Diet was like 1 Year ago and bad for Body? Im not sure i took the Shake for Breakfast hat a normal Meal for Lunch and for Dinner it was Shake again with 1 Apple i also didnt wanted to drink Water i prefer Water with Flavor like Vitrex and i never had problems with my Body and i still ate my Sweets on Weekend because if you dont give ur Body some Sweets you wont make it throu the Diet:P Sorry for ultra bad English just sharing my Shit

  • Yes, I too am guilty of jumping from diet plan to others as well, I do believe that I need to have tried every single fat reduction system that was available, however eventually not one of them made it easier for me to shed and maintain the weight off.   • I was fat thin several times in my life.
    Before age 40 I never had loose skin. I was a size 16 and down to a 2/4.
    I never had a problem with loose skin.
    But as I age it’s harder to lose weight and keep my skin looking good.
    I’m 51 and wear a size 12.
    I look great at size 7/8.
    Age is cruel. Hormones do rage and zaps collagen.
