  • Spoiled and bad for kids!! Haaaa We never went McDonald’s it would have to be your birthday… my mom ALWAYS made dinner. We didn’t even have sugary cereal in the house my mom said it was too expensive and All sugar. BK fried long chicken sandwich ughh so good…

  • Be careful about the salad dressings they give you in the fast food restaurants. Read the ingredients, they contain corn syrup and modified starch.
Apart from that, i think mozarella sticks, onion rings and salad without dressings are eatable occasionally.

  • Guys,
    Pro Tip:

Order a pepperoni pizza at Dominoes and ask to “hold the dough”. The cashier will gladly hand you a packet of pepperoni. You’re welcome.

  • Not fast foods, but I gear towards breakfast restaurants and get egg omelets and sub out the breads w/ tomatoes and pickles. Grocery stores have better choices, tho not always convenient. Oh thank heaven for 7-11 for hard-boiled eggs.

  • LOL, you really got me excited there for a while, until I realised we have neither of those menu items here in Australia I know we used to, including a brilliant half roast chicken, but it seems they weren’t popular enough to maintain. What a shame.

  • this twat doesn’t start explaining until 10 mins in and then talks about what you cant eat, basically if you want chinese forget it, its all carbs

  • I can tell you why the Chipotle food doesn’t taste the same as what you remember.
Do you guys remember that period of time when ALL Chipotle stores closed down, because of the E. Coli contamination issue? After those shenanigans, Chipotle corporate instituted a Policy of “wash-everything-down-before-using” so that (in theory) it can’t possibly ever happen again. They wash the tomatoes before slicing-and-dicing… and then they wash the diced tomatoes. Yeah, it’s like that. Avocados used to make guac washed. Beans, rice, etc. Same. It’s all washed prior to preparation. (Although, I suspect they don’t wash cheese and sour cream, though, as that would be just-plain silly.)

I have noticed that the ingredients in my burrito have a washed-out, bland flavor to them.
FWIW, I always ask them to add a splash of barbacoa SAUCE into my burrito or bowl, for extra added tastiness.

  • Very helpful tips when people are “on the go” and don’t know what to eat that is “Keto Friendly”. I suggest you need to have a bag of Fresh Gourmets “Crispy Onions” & Navitas Organic “Cacao Sweet Nibs” for your daily snack or sweet treat.

  • The conclusions drawn from this economic litmus test are backwards. Frugal people who don’t waste money at McDonald’s are far more likely to be high net worth than lower net worth individuals who waste money on fast food.

  • Chipotle just started offering a “keto bowl” mostly lettuce, guac, and meat. When I went yesterday they said they were all out of lettuce and guac. Must be popular:)

  • Just a heads up. Im a manager at chipotle. Been on keto a while. Lol. Carnitas is best meat there but may have spice mix with sugar. Dont get the queso, it has a flour mix, like a rue to keep it thick and liquid. Nit good for keto.

Get lettuce. Carnitas. Sour cream. Cheese. Tomatoes. Guac. And its as keto friendly as you can get.

Their bowl was sad. Lol. That was a lazy person who made it.

    Shame.

Oh gosh and that service at kfc was awful!

  • this entire video was so negative… basically all I got out of it is “don’t eat fast food on keto, it’s gross, we hate everything”

  • Hey friend great video. I’m also on keto and I lost 150 pounds in 18 months. It has been an amazing journey and I have documented everything on my channel. I have just subbed to you and I hope you can do the same back

  • I liked this video. My husband said he just wish he said “please,” when ordering. It bothers him when people aren’t polite. The KFC lady bothered him so much, I doubt we’ll ever go there again. He was raised in the military bases of America, having good manners is never a bad idea.

  • KFC, I would still be sitting at the first window and drove off after she verbally harassed me at the window. Bye Felicia white folks are so nice sometimes.

  • I stopped eating at Jimmy John’s when I found out he paid $150K to hunt a giraffe… that’s cruel and insensitive and why kill large animals just for sport. Please don’t buy food there

  • I was on the road last yr doing Keto and driving and was in the midwest, small town and needed a quick stop meal, I did the McDonalds Breakfast sandwich like he said on here, took the bun off and ate the egg and sausage patty. I also was at a Mexican restaurant for a training class on that trip and ordered Fajitas, and just ate the meat with some guacamole and a little salsa and the peppers.

  • Usually when I order steak or any other meat or fish, I’ll ask for just green vegetables. And I will ask, what green vegetables do you offer? I’ve had at different restaurants been offered bok choy, broccoli, rapini, zucchini, spinach or just a salad. Not that hard to get someone want if you ask politely for it. Restaurants will accommodate many diners requests because happy customers are repeat customers.

  • I have enough fat on hand to survive several days without food. What realistic life scenario can you come up with where I need to eat fast food. It’s not just about carb or quality anymore, it’s about my trust and how they sold it for cheaper products that contain gmo and trans-fats just to make a few more friggin cents per meal off of me. For that, you’ve lost my business. I don’t trust any of these with my health anymore. I don’t even trust doctors with my health, let alone McDonalds…

  • I liked this video. My husband said he just wish he said “please,” when ordering. It bothers him when people aren’t polite. The KFC lady bothered him so much, I doubt we’ll ever go there again. He was raised in the military bases of America, having good manners is never a bad idea.

  • I agree with In and Out. Double double protein style! However they are regional. I usually just order burgers off the menu. Then when I get home I strip off the bun and either wrap in lettuce or a low carb tortilla.

  • I always order the breakfast sandwiches with no bun and idk if it’s different here in Canada, but they literally put the sausage down, then lay the egg touching, but off to the side, then the cheese like that off of the egg, and put it in a plastic container with a clear lid. It looked like they were trying to make it look fancy but it looked like actual garbage and sucked having to try and salvage the melted cheese they also did this with a burger and drizzled sauce like it was some sort of fancy vinaigrette.

  • I can tell you why the Chipotle food doesn’t taste the same as what you remember.

  • Eh, I wouldn’t eat at McDonalds. They put flour, as a filler, in their burgers. I haven’t eaten at a McDonalds in over 10 years. However, the Taco Bell Naked Taco is good to know. I travel a lot, for my job, so sometimes all I can eat is fast food. I’m always looking for variations.

  • This is the whole reason for cooking at home, if you were traveling and were in survival mode I would reconsider and and still find something more worth the money or opp’s unplanned fasting! Till I could get real food.

  • I love the contrast from chic fil a to kfc. Most kfc service is fine but the food is vary watery and probably had lots of additives. Ive never had to wait at for service or wonder what’s going on at Chic fil a, and the food is much fresher looking. Chipotle probably shouldn’t have been there they don’t even have a drive through.

  • About a week ago, I was going to go to Chipotle (and get a keto friendly meal) with my brother, but the parking lot was full, so we couldn’t go there. We were driving around, trying to find a good place to go, but couldn’t find anything good (I was not about to get something like a burger without a bun because I could just make that at home easily and I wanted something different). We found a Chinese buffet. I figured, buffets usually have a good salad bar and some good meat I could eat. We paid for the buffet and I got in there and there was hardly anything keto friendly. Almost everything was breaded or had a sauce. Even the salad bar was barely anything. It had lettuce, cucumber and the rest of the veggies were covered in some sort of sauce. So, I just said “screw it” and ate whatever I wanted. I stayed away from rice, beans, and potatoes. I tried to get mostly meats, seafood and veggies (even if they had breading or sauce). I wasn’t going to let my money I spent go to waste and I had a good time with my brother. Then, the next day I got back on the diet and I’ve been doing pretty good. Anyways, sometimes life happens and you just have to have some fun even if it means breaking the diet.

  • Hi I want to start a keto lifestyle but I’m breastfeeding so is it okay to take the electrician and the magnesium and the shekaulogy and other supplements you mentioned?thank you

  • If you ever come to the west coast make sure you try in-n-out. The protein style burger with as many patties as you want is amazing in price, quality and convenience

  • Thank you for sharing. I don’t know if y’all are still reading the comments, but I’m a truck driver with the country shut down, I’m trying to find the best Keytow options lol!

  • I love Wendy’s also! But you can save a bunch of money by just purchasing the patties and cheese and Bacon separately! Keep it up bro

  • its ridiculous everyone orders these mc muffins etc with no bun………..just order a platter with sausage, bacon and scrambled eggs………..much easier and makes more sense

  • I looked up the naked taco and it’s a breakfast taco that has potato and nacho cheese so be aware you would have to switch it up quite a bit to make it Keto

  • Ok, I clearly did NOT order correctly at wendy”s. I ended up with a couple of meat coasters glued together by some thick orange glue. The whole thing about 2×2″…was gross…they called it a double stack with no bun…I called it shit

  • Thank you for sharing. I don’t know if y’all are still reading the comments, but I’m a truck driver with the country shut down, I’m trying to find the best Keytow options lol!

  • 9 times out of 10, KFC will either have a rude employee or mess up your order. They never offer sauces for their chicken that requires dipping, or honey and butter for their biscuits, or ketchup for their fries, and they’ll usually forget the cookie. In conclusion, KFC sucks!

  • Carnivore fast food even easier: go to Maccas order just angus patties, and maybe black coffee to wash down. Yummy and zero carb.

  • 90% of the time KFC doesnt have any grilled chicken. They make one batch around lunch time and then when it’s gone’ it’s gone because it doesn’t sell well.
Also, I’ve driven across the country surviving mainly on Wendy’s bacon double cheeseburgers with no bun.

  • KFC, I would still be sitting at the first window and drove off after she verbally harassed me at the window. Bye Felicia white folks are so nice sometimes.

  • Defenetly KFC woman was unkind.
But you filmed another’s face and upload on your YouTube video. Just as my opinion and thinking…It’s not good manner..film and upload on internet without their permission.

She(KFC woman) should know about this video…
She doesn’t deserve to be insulted here.
I am not talking about the LAW, I am talking about the good manner and respecting others…

  • I would try most of the food in this video, whether I’m on a diet or not, because most of it sounds good, especially the unwich and the blackened tenders!

  • Thank you dr bergbim going on holiday soon and started keto and i dont want to ruin what i just started so i needed heads up ♡ love ya!!

  • Maybe one day the Oligarchy will feature you on the “trending” pages of the world.. for selling out the health and safety of your People & Country by promoting McDonald’s and spreading intentional misinformation about healthy eating.

  • I don’t eat any fast food. I do however wait until I I’ve saved enough money to eat at a fine steak and salad restaurant! So, I only go out to eat about every 10 12 weeks and I love bacon wrapped filet with garlic butter and a side of broccoli and a side salad! No croutons and tell them not to bring out that board with hot bread lol. Drink unsweetened tea with plenty lemon or water! Now I have to go check my bank account.

  • How are you going to make that Jimmy Johns unwich for $3? Where are you shopping? Turkey, cheese, avocado, lettuce, tomato and cucumber. How could you make it cheaper? lol

  • Yup today for lunch I got a double patty burger wrapped in lettuce. Just got pickles. It was delicious! Kept me satisfied. Not everyone can afford or have access to grass fed organic beef 100% of the time so it’s nice to have options.

  • Hmm, I’m losing a lot of weight following a Keto diet and use the no-bun strategy, but c’mon! Don’t snarl at the restaurant if the food comes in a smaller box. Did you tell them to hold the mustard? Did you expect a sandwich engineered to look attractive IN a bun would please your eyes if it came without an exoskeleton? A crab in his shell is kind of cute and without it, is, well, ugly.
I watch your videos because you give me valuable information, but your snotty entitled attitude is a bit much. I’m going to unsubscribe because you irritate me too much, even though you’re very intelligent. Thanks for the help, but bye bye. And please, don’t be a bad example of snobbism to your baby, ok?

  • I work graveyard shifts and especially due to the pandemic, there’s no access to break rooms to bring food so I often have to go to fast food stops. Wendy’s is definitely my favorite. I order the creamy Sriracha double bacon cheese burger lettuce wrapped. It has crispy onion straws but those have about 2 carbs per serving. Sooooooo good!

  • Once you’re fat adapted you can cheat quite frequently just don’t make it a habit but before no questions you gotta do high fat low carb

  • OH, don’t forget to clean up the Green Bean juice before you honey sees it. BIG TROUBLE eating in the truck. We want more food eating in it. lol dan t.

  • its ridiculous everyone orders these mc muffins etc with no bun………..just order a platter with sausage, bacon and scrambled eggs………..much easier and makes more sense

  • If you cant run or whatever for 20 minutes straight just break it down into 4 x 5 minutes with like a 3 minute break in between and keep doing it till you can join it all up and do it in one go

  • If you can afford this, I guarantee you can afford to eat better at home. I used to spend $100+ eating out every single week, something changed in my mind for the better now me and my wife cook at home get to spend more time together and are getting rid of the extra pounds

  • I really love the BGMs used in this video ❤. Some of them are my favorite. And about the Keto diet, I think Filipinos and other asian people are struggling on a Keto, because traditionally we eat Carbs all the time, a good example is the rice which we have it every meal. And it’s so hard to resist, I can tell you that. Other countries like Japan, S Korea and China almost eat noodles everytime, so preferably Asians does the Healthy diet option over keto. But hopefully I can manage to do keto, because I really want to lose weight, badly.

  • Now we have great low carb bun recipes we can take these to fast food restaurants and replace original bun. Only thing I need a replacement for is Fries!

  • yucky
    I’ve never liked fast food….
I could only ever eat fries anyway, keto is so great I don’t miss those anyways. good vid for those with FF addiction thou!

  • Thanks for doing this! Very helpful. I think people travelling would want to have options. I’m thinking of a road trip this summer and wondered how I would manage Ketosis along the way!

  • I had a horrible experience at KFC as well. I immediately cancelled my order and drove pass the drive thru window and just glared at the cashier.

  • Chipotle salad bowl.. how come do not eat the brown rice or black beans or pinto beans? I thought brown rice would be better than the dairy cheese and sour cream. I eat Chipotle couple times a week for lunch.

  • Ok, I clearly did NOT order correctly at wendy”s. I ended up with a couple of meat coasters glued together by some thick orange glue. The whole thing about 2×2″…was gross…they called it a double stack with no bun…I called it shit

  • Dave Palumbo helped spread the word of the TRUE Keto Diet ( ZERO Carbs) he was known for eating McDonald’s Three to Four times a day while Prepping for Contests

  • The lady at kfc was the worst. The exact same thing happened to me and my sister when we went to Popeye’s one time. We told her we needed a second to look and she told us to drive around so that other customers could drive through…EVEN THOUGH WE WERE THE ONLY CAR IN LINE. And then when we actually ordered she was super nasty and rude and had the worse attitude as she basically threw our food at us. Never went back.

  • Logan I love all of the hard work that you put into each of your videos the content is so helpful. I started the Keto journey in August of 2018 and was diagnosed with cancer in November of the same year. I’ve battled cancer with treatments and have been in the recovery phase since April but now my body has gained weight while doing keto and I’m wondering what I need to do to get the weight off again. Was 180lbs before treatments and now I’m 230lbs at 49 years old. I’m just so lost here and I’m strict with eating, can you offer any advice.

  • Chipotle salad bowl.. how come do not eat the brown rice or black beans or pinto beans? I thought brown rice would be better than the dairy cheese and sour cream. I eat Chipotle couple times a week for lunch.

  • I refuse to go to jimmy johns because he goes on exotic animal hunts, killing for fun (not food). Go to jersey mike instead.

  • Bro, how do u balance working, having a family and going to the gym? Im New to fatherhood and have falling off my gym routine significantly. Thank you for your videos, really inspiring

  • Hey Dr Berg! I’m such a fan of your work. I absolutely love your work! My fiancee and I have been trying to work out Keto for the last two years and had some trouble. When we discovered your channel it changed everything for us. Your videos rocks, they are clear, concise and they truly help troubleshoot problems while on the Keto diet. You’ve helped us so much we are now recommending your work to friends and family and doing what we can to help them move towards a more healthy lifestyle, hopefully sharing your tools to move them to a more responsible approach to their health.

We’re in the UK, so it’s a little easier to get some of the cleaner foods you are recommending. But we’ve used a few of your supplements those which have been orderable via Amazon here. Personally, I’ve suffered from a bit an adrenal problem which is a ton better thanks to your advice. Continuing the constant process of improvement I wanted to order myself and my fiancee one of your massage tools each, along with some additional supplements.

So, before Christmas, I made an order from your website to be delivered to the UK. It was fairly pricey. but I completely understand the cost of the supplements. We know from experience that they work and they are made of the high-quality ingredients which you have specially sourced and bought together, so that’s not a problem. The shipping was very expensive. Again, I was expecting this. The unfortunate piece to this whole story is the somewhat disappointing service I received with my order. It feels a world away from the service you are providing to the world, here on your YouTube channel.

Perhaps it’s the postal service in the UK, that could easily be true. But also a little more than a four-word response from whoever is answer your customer support wouldn’t have gone amiss. I sent a quite lengthy email explaining the problem and love of your work. To get a response which said ‘check with your post office’. A bit of a shock when considering the unbelievable job you are doing with your channel. The cost of your supplements, the cost of the delivery and the fact I’m a massive fan and advocate of your work. Sharing with others on a weekly basis.

I received no notice of a failed delivery attempt or even that the package had been made to the UK. There was no clear way of tracking my items once in the UK, so I had no idea that an attempt for delivery had been made. Now digging deeper I’m told that their delivery has been returned to you and also it was actually with parcel force, not the post office as your customer support person suggested. So all this and I’m still without your products, after about a 2-month wait. For 2019, I’d love to see you improve this for your international clients. I really want a couple of your massage tools, and I would even be interested in buying more for family and friends as I think they make awesome gifts. But with this experience, I’m a little lost with where to go. It would be lovely if you had an idea for a better approach or even how I could actually order some of your product and recieve them? Hope you can help. Best Simon.

  • I see you a DBZ fan. Seen some of your videos. Keep it up.

I see you went Super Saiyan. But You haven’t mastered the Ultra Instinct technique yet!

  • McDonald’s bacon ranch grilled chicken salad has 14 grams fat, 6 net carbs, 4 grams sugar & 42 grams protein. I always take my own EVOO with me for dressing.

  • Nothing is keto about this… they are giving bad advice. Keto is for modulating inflammation. Fast food restaurant meals will cause an inflammatory response because of the way it is produced. Weightloss and weight maintenance is just an added bonus. The channel should be called atkins connect instead because they just restrict carbs and dont care about gealthy choices. Cooking and preparing your own meals is the only way to do a ketogenic diet accurately.

  • I love chick-fil-a! JJ sucks I tried it and will never do it again… kfc should know better… wendy’s suck because I don’t eat beef… I gotta try chipotle!

  • pro tip: order 2 large patties with two slices of cheese. $1.50 a patty and $0.30 per slice of cheese. I usually get 3 patties. $5.70. It’s less than a Dave’s double.

  • It’s not against the law to video in public. What if you have a dashcam? Are you supposed to turn it off because she doesn’t want to be on camera?

  • Man, why the hell am I watching this video Midway through a week-long super strict diet. I’ve actually been thinking about doing the keto diet. i definitely need to hit the gym more that’s for sure.

  • I just want to know what’s is keto drinks you be drinking and where do you get them. I really love your videos on YouTube there very helpful.

  • Lol u are not supposed to eat PROCESSED OIL AND STUFF on a HEALTHY keto diet! Just coz we can eat Fat doesn’t mean Eat BAD FAT ! For a cheat day it’s ok!

  • favorite youtuber. any tips on how to keep GERD symptoms down while being on the keto diet? I keep swapping back and forth because of some unpleasant indigestion.

  • The black girl working at KFC… Just imagine this is what black man have to deal with on a daily basis…. shit I feel sorry for them!!!!

  • Dr Berg you said no beans, but the list you sent thru fb messenger not too long ago of approved keto foods has beans on it….can you clear this up for me and help me understand please? Are only certain beans allowed?? Thank you

  • Ask for a low carb baconator, they’ll wrap it in lettuce and put it in a tray for you. Just to be sure, I also ask that they leave off the ketchup and throw in a mayo packet.

  • Hi Ashley, can you intermedent cadt every day? Also what ketones do you reccomend? Btw I am addicted to watching your videos.

  • Man, why the hell am I watching this video Midway through a week-long super strict diet. I’ve actually been thinking about doing the keto diet. i definitely need to hit the gym more that’s for sure.

  • Yo! Ever worry that your betting your health and business on something that may turn out actually be bad? How do you deal w that bro?

  • I had a horrible experience at KFC as well. I immediately cancelled my order and drove pass the drive thru window and just glared at the cashier.

  • Subway. You order a breakfast sub with no bread or just make any sub a salad. Just dont eat much meat because of the nitrates. Jimmy John’s has a un-wich lettuce wrap I get cheese and roast beef or turkey.

  • I get the bacon McDouble with no bun or condiments. Its always fun to see how its going to show up. lol. But I could eat 3 of those in on sitting. But for a quick bite its ok.

  • At Taco Bell I usually get three Taco Supremes with no flour and that’s usually quite filling. So basically what they do is put all the guts in One Bowl.

  • I love Wendy’s also! But you can save a bunch of money by just purchasing the patties and cheese and Bacon separately! Keep it up bro

  • Question brother, the glasses you have you brought the original wayfarer and removed the crystal or you bought the frames? Where?

  • I’m a truck driver over the road. And it’s super hard because I have a small fridge. And lots of place will not let us park to shop.

  • What if I don’t have a kitchen to cook in? I don’t have an area where I can prepare food! I just rent out a bedroom and don’t have access to a kitchen!
So all my choices are just eating out and buying something ready-to-eat at the grocery store like Peanut Butter, Bananas, pre-made smoothies, etc…
I do eat from the hot bar at Whole Foods sometimes and I get my veggies from there once in a blue moon!

  • I’m not sure what state you guys are in but here in Texas Jersey Mike’s has a sub in a tub option where you can get any sub sandwich in a container with no bun, it’s so good

  • Those are all excellent recommendations Dr. Berg, for those who have no other option and need to do keto at cheap fast food establishments. Another great place that I would add is KFC. They have a grilled chicken option, which has no breading, and you can get two sides of green beans. All you have to do is not eat the buttermilk biscuit that comes with meal.

  • Yup today for lunch I got a double patty burger wrapped in lettuce. Just got pickles. It was delicious! Kept me satisfied. Not everyone can afford or have access to grass fed organic beef 100% of the time so it’s nice to have options.

  • People, watch the sour cream out there. Many have starches and/or all kinds of nonsense in it.
I just checked Chipotle’s website and currently the ingredient is just cultured cream. Good job Chipotle!

  • If you see this play 0111 Bcuz Texas had 0001 on Friday night

With 001 hit twice this week in Texas

    And 011 hits in Tennessee

So 110 has to hit in Texas one day this week box/Straight

    Great Luck Worldwide

  • Yeah, my childhood consisted of us wanting McDonald’s and my mom always saying we had perfectly good beans at home to eat. It was a special treat when we did get to eat at McDonald’s. Anyone else?

  • When I do keto I order dbl cheeseburger, no bun no ketchup and for breakfast the egg white, Canadian ham and white cheese sandwich with no bun. Other than that not much on the menu to choose from

  • I get the breakfast burritos and ditch the tortilla and fork it. Quite yummy. Or qtr pounder with cheese. 1 pkt ketchup because… I’m still human.

  • I’ve been binge watching your channel for a few days now I’m planning to start this lifestyle soon as I don’t eat a lot of protein these days ( besides my protein shake in the morning) greasy food makes me very sick any tips on how to gently ease into Keto diet?

  • Dr. Berg. One correction about Five Guys. They actually have locations all over the world including Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, the Republic of Ireland, Kuwait, Netherlands, Italy, Luxembourg, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Spain, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and of course the United States. I live in the Northern Virginia area like you and have a friend that is a corporate trainer for them and he’s been all over the world working for them. I am a big fan of your channel and the information you provide. Keep up the great work!

  • Hey friend great video. I’m also on keto and I lost 150 pounds in 18 months. It has been an amazing journey and I have documented everything on my channel. I have just subbed to you and I hope you can do the same back

  • I been getting 2 or 3 double cheeseburgers but has ketchup. I toss the bun. Not sure how added sugar is in the ketchup or meat but it’s been making me crave carbs a lot more lately and even knocking me out of keto? Not sure. Outside of that I would do eggs and bacon or meat patties at the house

  • EVERY SUNDAY, my husband and I go after church to our favorite Greek burger place for a double cheeseburger lettuce wrap! He gets onion rings instead of fries and removes most of the breading. I eat ONLY ONE onion ring from his plate. And we drink plain iced tea with that. It is so wonderful! My husband lost 50 pounds and I lost 35 FOLLOWING DR. BERG’S BOOK. I have 40 more to go…

  • If I do McDonald’s I just do 2 qp with cheese and bacon no bun singles or doubles depending on how hungry I am. I do ketp but I am trying the recomp thing

  • The sodium content in so many ‘diet’ foods is astronomical. I wonder when some people will stop considering carbs evil and start thinking about the salt in the food that’s a leading contributor to heart attacks

  • You are so right Matt.I only let my 10 year old get the chicken select sometime lmao because if I am thinking straight that day I am like he’ll to the no get nuggets they are cheaper and we can share a 10 pc lol.So she tells me.she no longer like the nuggets…
    Lolo

  • The sodium content in so many ‘diet’ foods is astronomical. I wonder when some people will stop considering carbs evil and start thinking about the salt in the food that’s a leading contributor to heart attacks

  • If you cant run or whatever for 20 minutes straight just break it down into 4 x 5 minutes with like a 3 minute break in between and keep doing it till you can join it all up and do it in one go

  • When I go to McDonalds (which is hardly ever), I get two grilled snack wraps and eat the inside and throw the tortilla away. It’s like having a little chicken salad.

  • I heard this is the worst way to do keto, the best way is to have lean meat and add healthy fats so you can control the amount of protein to fat

  • Thanks Dr Berg! I also have done the grilled chicken classic burger at McDonald’s with a lettuce wrap. It comes with the grilled chicken, bacon, Swiss cheese and a slice of tomato. You have to omit the mayo too though

  • this entire video was so negative… basically all I got out of it is “don’t eat fast food on keto, it’s gross, we hate everything”

  • I think chik Fila-A’s prices are pretty low for the quality of the food. Isn’t chicken sandwich at McDonald’s more than $5 and nasty? Chik fil-a’s is under $4 and delicious. My child get chicken tenders if she asks for them and I am not rich………at ALL. I think it also just depends on how you choose to spend your money. I try to avoid the dollar menu lol

  • If you ever come to the west coast make sure you try in-n-out. The protein style burger with as many patties as you want is amazing in price, quality and convenience

  • Thanks! Once or twice a week I jet out of the house, only to realize I forgot to eat or pack something. I’ve been eating bunless Wendy’s burgers usually.

  • Dr. Berg. One correction about Five Guys. • I put Chick Fil A in the same category as In n Out not McDonalds. Also I would never have even ordered at KFC after that lady said to back up to the other menu.

  • As a homemaker myself your content is extremely relatable. Thank you so much. You are inspiring me to push through into the Keto lifestyle.

  • Dr. Berg you made a comment on another video that our bodies produce 2,000 mg of cholesterol a day. I am puzzled now with that information. Why do some people get plaque in their arteries and some people don’t if we all produce the same amount of cholesterol. What determines the plaque factor? Is it out diets and physical activity?

  • the kfc woman was like 10 seconds of the video and that’s all y’all talk about. anyone else didn’t know jimmy jones had unwiches or whatever they’re called?

  • The lady at kfc was the worst. The exact same thing happened to me and my sister when we went to Popeye’s one time. We told her we needed a second to look and she told us to drive around so that other customers could drive through…EVEN THOUGH WE WERE THE ONLY CAR IN LINE. And then when we actually ordered she was super nasty and rude and had the worse attitude as she basically threw our food at us. Never went back.

  • Lol u are not supposed to eat PROCESSED OIL AND STUFF on a HEALTHY keto diet! Just coz we can eat Fat doesn’t mean Eat BAD FAT ! For a cheat day it’s ok!

  • At Taco Bell you can order just sides, so I like to order a few sides of lettuce, chicken, sour cream, cheese, guac, etc. You can make a pretty decent salad for only a few bucks!

Best Simon.

  • At some restaurants you can ask for loaded broccoli…its yummy and all they do is put sour cream..bacon..n cheese on top of the steamed broccoli

  • I have been trying to contact you guys! I am 68, and messed up my email, so I have none, but i love your you tube videos and your sweet family! I have been counting carbs since after thanksgiving, and after a visit to the doctor!!!

  • Hi lovely, I’ve been watching for a while. I’m doing vegan keto, can you please make some vegan keto meals/snacks? The reason I went plant based was the movies cowspiracy (environment) and earthlings (animals). . I used to do regular keto in the past. It’s definitely a great way to eat stops binge eating, very satiating. ⭐️

  • I’m a truck driver over the road. And it’s super hard because I have a small fridge. And lots of place will not let us park to shop.

  • At Taco Bell I usually get three Taco Supremes with no flour and that’s usually quite filling. So basically what they do is put all the guts in One Bowl.

  • I love this video! And it’s extra cool you request “no bun” instead of just chucking it out. Less food waste, but also McDonald’s will get the idea people are interested in more keto options in the long run. Thanks so much for posting

  • People, watch the sour cream out there. Many have starches and/or all kinds of nonsense in it.
I just checked Chipotle’s website and currently the ingredient is just cultured cream. Good job Chipotle!

  • I love the keto diet because as someone who has been allergic to gluten for about half of my life I am already pretty used to eating like that. Almost all of the keto recipes that I find are gluten free.

  • Not sure where that lady from KFC gets her information, but that is false. It is not against the law to film or take pictures in public. You have no right to privacy in public.

  • For keto I constantly do wendy’s bunless bacon cheeseburger as an on the go option. It’s SO much better than most fast food burgers, beef actually has flavor.

  • Dave Palumbo helped spread the word of the TRUE Keto Diet ( ZERO Carbs) he was known for eating McDonald’s Three to Four times a day while Prepping for Contests

  • I would try most of the food in this video, whether I’m on a diet or not, because most of it sounds good, especially the unwich and the blackened tenders!

  • I love that you make keto seem so much more doable!! these are really helpful videos. and I can tell you live near me. im in Florida. ive noticed Publix and other regional type things in your videos. so thats a bonus

  • How are you going to make that Jimmy Johns unwich for $3? Where are you shopping? Turkey, cheese, avocado, lettuce, tomato and cucumber. How could you make it cheaper? lol

  • KFC fried chicken
Very few people know what all 11 herbs and spices are, but MSG is definitely one of them. Not only is there MSG in all the different varieties of KFC fried (and grilled) chicken, it’s also in the gravy, chicken pot pies, potato wedges, and even the green beans.Nov 12, 2014

Foods you didn’t know contain MSG | Fox News. Msg spikes insulin

  • Tell that lady at KFC to calm down she’s looking for a reason to argue! I would’ve told her “no ma’am, I’m staying right here, thank YOU”

  • Ah one thing about five guys..: their mushrooms are made with high fructose corn syrup so they’re a NO. The other veggies are fine

  • Quarter pounder the patties where it’s at! You could get a double quarter pounder cheese with bacon and a side salad would be much more filling.

  • I love chick-fil-a! JJ sucks I tried it and will never do it again… kfc should know better… wendy’s suck because I don’t eat beef… I gotta try chipotle!

  • There’s one KFC in my city and it doesn’t carry the grilled chicken anymore, as I discovered today when I tried to get some after watching this video.:(

  • Thanks for doing this! Very helpful. I think people travelling would want to have options. I’m thinking of a road trip this summer and wondered how I would manage Ketosis along the way!

  • I’m not doing the keto diet but I’m going to challenge myself to do this 5 day exercise challenge. I need to get back into it and this is going to be perfect for me.

  • 10 years ago Chipotle was excellent…before McDonald’s bought the franchise chain and that’s when it ALL went to …

…in reference to the McDonald’s quality food and not listing anything from the McDonald’s menu…it was their #1 choice because Chipotle is now owned by McDonald’s hence the change in quality of ingredients

  • New subscriber!:) I’m on day 8 of keto so far so good hanging in there:) love seeing your guys tips and tricks new viewer watched I think 2 or 3 videos so far:) liked and subscribed with post notifications on:)

  • 9 times out of 10, KFC will either have a rude employee or mess up your order. They never offer sauces for their chicken that requires dipping, or honey and butter for their biscuits, or ketchup for their fries, and they’ll usually forget the cookie. In conclusion, KFC sucks!

  • One of my favourite pizza places (sadly an hour away from me now) does one of my favourite pizzas (fresh garlic (as opposed to jarred), spinach, tomatoes broccoli and feta) as a low carb dish with grilled chicken. Okay, not exactly fast or cheap….but it is amazing.

  • For keto I constantly do wendy’s bunless bacon cheeseburger as an on the go option. It’s SO much better than most fast food burgers, beef actually has flavor.

  • Carnivore fast food even easier: go to Maccas order just angus patties, and maybe black coffee to wash down. Yummy and zero carb.

  • Hi, Ashley!!! I’m new to the Keto lifestyle and I have been binge watching all your Keto videos. Their so informative and inspiring. Thank you so much for your knowledge and persistence! I do have a question for you…I wanted to know when do you take your exogenous ketones….before, after or during your restaurant meal?

  • The black girl working at KFC… Just imagine this is what black man have to deal with on a daily basis…. shit I feel sorry for them!!!!

  • It really depends on what MD you go to. I ask for burger no bun and sometimes they give to the burger wrapped in lettuce. Sometimes it’s shredded lettuce and sometimes it’s like your burger was very little lettuce.

  • Grilled Chicken is not available in my area. I think id rather have the few carbs of the regular chicken as the skin is high fat as well and is ideal or Keto.

  • She need to be reported, she was rude from the gate!!!! Hopefully the proper people see this video, rude customer service is a turn off

  • I was at KFC on my birthday earlier this year. I ordered 2 wings, a small container of the seasoned green beans, and a biscuit. I love those green beans! And you’re right. They’re good. I didn’t eat the biscuit, though. I think next time I’m at KFC, I will consider getting the grilled thighs and the green beans. BTW, thanks for sharing the Burger King video. I love the Whopper ala low carb. I don’t know if you have Hardees where you live, but I would like to see how you can do a low carb option there. Thanks again, Kathleen

  • I’ve been eating the grilled chicken and green bean at kfc about 4 times a week for the last several months. And it’s true that some kfc’s don’t have the grilled chicken. It’s very disappointing to stop at one and be told they don’t have it. I will take the biscuit home to my husband and the cookie home to my son. So no waste.

  • They have discontinued grilled KFC in my area but I wanted to let you know that YOU are the bomb.com!! My husband and I literally are watching all of your videos for our daily meals. He is diabetic and we both are trying to cut down our carbs and sugar. We have made about 4 or more of your recipes so far in the last 2 weeks. Keep going. Thank you so much!!

  • I’m going to put together a personal journal that contains all restaurants I eat at ; their low carb foods on there menu along with carbs amount. That away I can just look in my little journal I carry with me to make wiser food choices. Thank you so very much for this KFC Low Carb Foods Review. Love Tamson from Kentucky

  • Hi Ashley. I’m only one week in trying keto. Love your videos. I need help trying to figure out my macros Not sure why this part is so difficult for me

  • YES, KFC is very low carb friendly!!! I really hate that there are no longer any KFC’s in Longview, Texas. The grilled thigh, drumstick, and green beans was always my go to meal.

  • It’s not against the law to video in public. What if you have a dashcam? Are you supposed to turn it off because she doesn’t want to be on camera?

  • I agree with In and Out. Double double protein style! However they are regional. I usually just order burgers off the menu. Then when I get home I strip off the bun and either wrap in lettuce or a low carb tortilla.

  • I get the salad, of course, and they have a Southwestern grilled chicken salad (hold the beans) but you can also get the fruit n yogurt parfait and leave off the granola, which isn’t too bad. Also they have the wraps, which you can get without the tortilla, and take it home and put it in lavish flatbread. Additionally, they also have the larger Angus burgers, as well as the Quarter Pounder. Plus, during Mcrib time, just get it without sauce or a bun. Furthermore, they have Canadian bacon as well as the scrambled egg breakfast (just get it without the biscuit and hashbrowns, and order it w/half bacon half sausage). Finally, I think the honey mustard and ranch are okay, they also have a vinaigrette, and a buffalo wing sauce.

  • Subway. You order a breakfast sub with no bread or just make any sub a salad. Just dont eat much meat because of the nitrates. Jimmy John’s has a un-wich lettuce wrap I get cheese and roast beef or turkey.

  • I tried to eat a grilled chicken breast when they first came out with it and it was more like jerky. Maybe I need to give it another shot.. thanks for this video! ❤️‍♀️

  • At times if I’m out running errands and start feeling like I need something. I drive thru Wendy’s and order the large size beef pattie ONLY. They are very nice to provide this and it is delicious @ $1.99 + tax.

  • Once you’re fat adapted you can cheat quite frequently just don’t make it a habit but before no questions you gotta do high fat low carb

  • Omg KFC so according to the law.. unless the owner has it posted no pics or vids the employees have zero right..you can record all you want and don’t have to ask for shit..just looked it up she wS something else grrr….

  • Ah one thing about five guys..: their mushrooms are made with high fructose corn syrup so they’re a NO. The other veggies are fine

  • Dr Berg you said no beans, but the list you sent thru fb messenger not too long ago of approved keto foods has beans on it….can you clear this up for me and help me understand please? Are only certain beans allowed?? Thank you

  • I don’t do keto and still lose the weight. I ain’t doing fast food w/o the bun. the ketchup, mayo and the fries. BTW I’d stay away from 5 Guys fries. They suck.

  • Chipotle just started offering a “keto bowl” mostly lettuce, guac, and meat. When I went yesterday they said they were all out of lettuce and guac. Must be popular:)

  • I eat a Subway spinach and rotisserie chicken, chopped salad with extra green peppers almost every day. The chopping makes the salad kinda wet, and the green peppers and jalapenos make it spicy so that I don’t need dressing. I’m a regular, and I always tip, so they always make my salads huge. I’m sure I get at least 6 cups of veggies (before chopping). Ok, so it isn’t organic and who knows what they put on their veggies to keep them “fresh”, but I still managed to lose 40 pounds within a year.

  • Omg KFC so according to the law.. unless the owner has it posted no pics or vids the employees have zero right..you can record all you want and don’t have to ask for shit..just looked it up she wS something else grrr….

  • yucky
    I’ve never liked fast food….
I could only ever eat fries anyway, keto is so great I don’t miss those anyways. good vid for those with FF addiction thou!

  • Not sure where that lady from KFC gets her information, but that is false. It is not against the law to film or take pictures in public. You have no right to privacy in public.

  • Not fast foods, but I gear towards breakfast restaurants and get egg omelets and sub out the breads w/ tomatoes and pickles. Grocery stores have better choices, tho not always convenient. Oh thank heaven for 7-11 for hard-boiled eggs.

  • I love that you make keto seem so much more doable!! these are really helpful videos. and I can tell you live near me. im in Florida. ive noticed Publix and other regional type things in your videos. so thats a bonus

  • Tell that lady at KFC to calm down she’s looking for a reason to argue! I would’ve told her “no ma’am, I’m staying right here, thank YOU”

  • I’m am about to start my keto lifestyle. Your videos are the best I’ve come by. I really appreciate them!! I am a stay at home mom of 4 kids and this makes it much less overwhelming for me! One question I have is… I am obsessed with onions…red, yellow & white. Are they ok to eat a lot of in each meal or at least 1 meal?

  • What are these Ketos you said you eat to stay on track on your weekend? I’m 45 Yrs diabetic with Insullin pump and continuous glucose monitoring also attached, doing good learning keto diet to stay on low Insullin delivery

  • Is it ok to use plain Coffeemate in coffee? The label says it’s 2 gm of carbs. I’m a COMPLETE beginner and that little bit of Coffeemate in the morning is my thing. Lol

  • Chipotle now has a Keto Salad Bowl that can be ordered through its website and app (it’s not on the menu in the restaurant). There are also Paleo and Whole30 salad bowls.

  • At Taco Bell you can order just sides, so I like to order a few sides of lettuce, chicken, sour cream, cheese, guac, etc. You can make a pretty decent salad for only a few bucks!

  • Doing K since July. Great success. Eating out…what a drag. Everywhere I’d go I would say…hey, Keto not going away. Pls get w the program if you want us as customers. Some places are now catching on. Anything ca-ching will drive interest. I just want options. Not missing dining out w people or sitting there drinking tea as they eat. Not anymore.

  • thks ms Heart…… You know it is 8:30 am here in Calif…….! And KFC doesn’t open until 10:ooam…. an hour and a haft…YOUR A PUNK…lolololo KFC KFC KFC Thky ms heart.. love you dan t palm springs ca USA p.s. KFC ( no biscuit please ) oxoxox

  • Stupid dickhead with his cap on backwards just looks so trendy and cool! And using “like” every second word only adds to his image as a moron!

  • subway salad and if your not strict they have a lot of low carb/low cal drink choices plus my lunch is at 1030 am so it is one of the few places I can get food

  • She need to be reported, she was rude from the gate!!!! Hopefully the proper people see this video, rude customer service is a turn off

  • I wish I could just bring a keto bun with me inside. I go there so my daughter can use the play place. A side salad, and a bunless mcdouble sub big mac sauce no ketchup no mustard. Is a solid order.

  • At BK you just all for the “Low Carb” double or triple…Bunless burger in a plastic container. Watermelon and cantaloupe not keto. McDonald’s is pure trash.

  • Thanks Dr Berg! I also have done the grilled chicken classic burger at McDonald’s with a lettuce wrap. It comes with the grilled chicken, bacon, Swiss cheese and a slice of tomato. You have to omit the mayo too though

  • I looked up the naked taco and it’s a breakfast taco that has potato and nacho cheese so be aware you would have to switch it up quite a bit to make it Keto

  • Ask for a low carb baconator, they’ll wrap it in lettuce and put it in a tray for you. Just to be sure, I also ask that they leave off the ketchup and throw in a mayo packet.

  • None of the KFC by me make the grilled chicken anymore. So I have picked the skin off the breast and eaten the meat, which is hard because I love their skin. Green beans taste watery. So I really don’t go there anymore. Bring back the grilled and I’ll be back!

  • At times if I’m out running errands and start feeling like I need something. I drive thru Wendy’s and order the large size beef pattie ONLY. They are very nice to provide this and it is delicious @ $1.99 + tax.

  • pro tip: order 2 large patties with two slices of cheese. $1.50 a patty and $0.30 per slice of cheese. I usually get 3 patties. $5.70. It’s less than a Dave’s double.

  • I’m not sure what state you guys are in but here in Texas Jersey Mike’s has a sub in a tub option where you can get any sub sandwich in a container with no bun, it’s so good

  • Yo! Ever worry that your betting your health and business on something that may turn out actually be bad? How do you deal w that bro?

  • Bro, how do u balance working, having a family and going to the gym? Im New to fatherhood and have falling off my gym routine significantly. Thank you for your videos, really inspiring

  • Why feel bad about not going to college?!? Most who did got worthless liberal arts degrees and 25k to 50k+ in debt just to work in a call center or a 35k a year job. All those who went into plumbing or an electrician got paid on the job training and now making over 50-60k a year with NO DEBT!

  • Chipotle now has a Keto Salad Bowl that can be ordered through its website and app (it’s not on the menu in the restaurant). There are also Paleo and Whole30 salad bowls.

  • At McDonald’s or Wendy’s off and you can ask for something like a cheap bacon cheeseburger without the bun wrapped in lettuce and just do a couple of those. One of my favorites if I go to a restaurant that serving breakfast, which Sumter 24 hours a day, I’ll get an all meat and cheese omelette.
You touched on one of my pet peeves eating at a restaurant. Awesome things come as a meal and if you make any substitutions even if it’s trading out a less expensive item for more expensive item you don’t want they will charge you extra. It’s aggravating when you end up paying 15 $16 for a hamburger patty a slice of cheese and some lettuce. If I know they’re going to do this at Advance I go ahead and make them bring me everything. Somebody else can eat it or I’ll feed the pigeons.

  • Guys,
    Pro Tip:

Order a pepperoni pizza at Dominoes and ask to “hold the dough”. The cashier will gladly hand you a packet of pepperoni. You’re welcome.

  • Question brother, the glasses you have you brought the original wayfarer and removed the crystal or you bought the frames? Where?

  • At BK you just all for the “Low Carb” double or triple…Bunless burger in a plastic container. Watermelon and cantaloupe not keto. McDonald’s is pure trash.

  • favorite youtuber. any tips on how to keep GERD symptoms down while being on the keto diet? I keep swapping back and forth because of some unpleasant indigestion.

  • I heard this is the worst way to do keto, the best way is to have lean meat and add healthy fats so you can control the amount of protein to fat

  • Keto tip for eating out…If you know what you’re going to order before you sit down at a restaurant your chances of making a healthy choice will go up tenfold. Once you sit down at a restaurant and have a few sips of your martini you will pretty much order anything on the menu regardless of your keto diet, particularly if you’re hungry.

I recommend trying this the next time you plan on going out to eat. Go online and look up the menu and decide exactly what you’re going to eat and drink before you get there. Not only will you make a much healthier keto choice. You will enjoy your time at the restaurant more. You will have plenty of time to socialize without the pressure of not knowing what to order.

    Give it a try….It works.

  • My family would have Burger King Whoppers every couple of weekends, alternating with a real Italian local pizza place and chinese food.

  • So when I test my Ketosis with urine strips, what level should it show to confirm my body is in Ketosis?  Also, aside from McDonald’s wouldn’t other restaurants have sugar in their ranch or blue cheese dressings as well?  Or how do you know if they do or don’t?  Sorry for all the questions!  Thanks!

  • I put Chick Fil A in the same category as In n Out not McDonalds. Also I would never have even ordered at KFC after that lady said to back up to the other menu.

  • I see you a DBZ fan. Seen some of your videos. Keep it up.

I see you went Super Saiyan. But You haven’t mastered the Ultra Instinct technique yet!

    KAME HAME HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The only thing with buffalo wings at a restaurant is the oil in which they were cooked. Because even high quality restaurants probably cook their wings in peanut oil or vegetable oil.

Buffalo Wings were my vice, the number of times I’d go for them at any restaurant. Now, I try to have them occasionally for that reason.

Vegetable oil aren’t atrocious if had occasionally, but it shouldn’t be the majority. It should be the exception.

Has anyone found out if restaurants have problems with those oils? I imagine most restaurant food is cooked in vegetable oil but I could be wrong…

  • Mexican is my love food! Would chicken, steak, shrimp fajitas work with no rice, beans or tortillas and extra cheese? Or sour cream and guacamole?

  • subway salad and if your not strict they have a lot of low carb/low cal drink choices plus my lunch is at 1030 am so it is one of the few places I can get food

  • I don’t do keto and still lose the weight. I ain’t doing fast food w/o the bun. the ketchup, mayo and the fries. BTW I’d stay away from 5 Guys fries. They suck.

  • I get the double quarter pounder with cheese, onion and pickle, and shredded lettuce and a side of big mac sauce, and just remove the bun. I’ts always been good everytime and I order a iced tea unsweetened and eat the sandwich with a fork and knife, not too picky about the silverware as long as its not a spork.

  • You’re ordering all this specialties staff and 90% make dolls won’t do that for you either going through the drive-through. He speed yourself up just order it regular at throw the stuff out you don’t want. Coming from a woman with food allergies

  • Steamed broccoli as a side dip it in ranch.. it fulfills your dipping urge ❤️ I’m a dipper! Also burgers add bacon and cheese ditch the bun and you will feel satisfied!

  • I always just order 2 sausage patties and 1 scrambled egg, they give it all to me on a plate with a lid. It’s cheaper that way also.:-)

  • I refuse to go to jimmy johns because he goes on exotic animal hunts, killing for fun (not food). Go to jersey mike instead.

  • the kfc woman was like 10 seconds of the video and that’s all y’all talk about. anyone else didn’t know jimmy jones had unwiches or whatever they’re called?

  • Caprese hold the balsamic, double the olive oil please! Great tips here. I don’t mind asking for modifications at all when I eat out but my husband absolutely can’t stand it. He will literally just not go or eat before hand and have a carb free drink at the restaurant when it is time to dine out lol. I am trying to warm him up to it…. sending him the link to this video! Thanks for the info:) ps I hate it when my baby hairs in the front get in my face too! Your hair is gorgeous, love the color.
