The nerd is a whiz in the lab but a total klutz on the field. The only time the two come together is when the jock reluctantly asks the nerd for tutoring help so as not to be kicked off the team for failing grades. I call them muscle nerds. For some of us, we’re just stylish nerds working our geek chic, including our bodies. Others end up being funhouse mirrors of insecurity.

It’s also a response to a mainstream culture that tells us muscles and brawn belong the realm of the alpha male, and geek stuff is irrevocably beta. Total Drama Boney Island. Episode 14I Triple Dog Dare You, Again!

ChrisLast time on Total Drama Boney Island! Our campers were divided into teams of 2 so they could build boats for later use. The inversion is the Badass Bookworm. In general, a Genius Bruiser looks huge and powerfully muscled, then unexpectedly shows off an intellectual side, whereas a Badass Bookworm looks like a standard geek, but then displays a surprising amount of physical prowess. Remember, in this case Muscles Are NOT Meaningless. The character does not need to look the part to qualify for this trope, though it. Both brains and brawn are important in Amazing Race, although the brains part is a bit ahead.

You definitely have to use your brain to think of the best strategy that would fit your team, such as understanding the instructions and thinking of fastest way to get to a destination.

  • I see the blatant cheating continues! Lol! =P you can only use bio kinetic suit for a wild resource for events. So not to make the robot’s text blank and not to return red dagger to your hand… making that super turn probably playing out way differently lol! You would think after playing so many card games and so many games of champions you would know how to read cards and know the rules by now! Hahaha! Love u guys! Keep up the great videos guys!

  • @ 22:07 Regarding “I See You” it seems like a reference to when Osborn discovered Spider-man’s identity. In this sense it’s thematic. The card effect overrides the rule. But he does not get a boost during the attack if you are in Alter ego form. Cards that read deal damage to all characters, players in Alter ego forms also take damage.

  • Hey guys glad you are back. So happy to see Ms. Marvel, she is quickly becoming my favorite hero. Want to point out about the obligations and surge. Steven should have gotten the encounter card from surge, it is given to the player resolving the encounter card. Keep up the great work, it’s Great!

  • OMG i have been waiting for you to play it but you probaly didnt see the comment because i didnt comment because im busy with school (also i didnt realize this vid was 40 minutes what)

  • Another great video, kudos.
I have a question about Shocker: he deals 1 damage to each hero when revealed. Are you sure this includes alter ego forms?

  • Hey Team Covenant! If you ever do a 2nd release of these tokens, I’d love to see the cosmic boards with some color. Like one for each aspect: red, yellow, green, blue, and black for the villain ; )

  • ONe thing that might need a token/s is the Call for an action and tracking when you have used said action out of turn. In a four player game if the first player calls an action of the fourth player they might forget that had that action by the time it is their turn eg The first player calls on Carol Danvers to give a card from her Commander action. 20 minutes later its the Captain Marvel’s turn and that player may have forgotten about that. Flipping a token might be an idea? By the way Zach you set a new record. Carol in her last turn did 23 damage and another 10 by removing the Immortal Klaw side scheme for a total of 33 damage. Well done Carol and well done Zach. Brains and brawn in one package.

  • This game exemplifies what I like about The Arkham Horror LCG. From my perspective it seemed like you guys were losing right up until you won, and those are always the most satisfying in these games.

  • 1:48:37 Its not Marvel Mondays unless Zack misses his obligatory Hero Action restriction =)… Its his super power. Oh and Marvel Mondays just became even better with the Wine Tasting Modular expansion, Just another Marvel Wine Day.

  • “Welcome to Douche Nation” didn’t win the contest, it was just in the lead before Leslie went on their show and suggested the listeners vote for her favorite. Crazy Ira and the Douche even make up a different write-in option, leaving the original behind, so the Douche Nation one never won.

  • Obi go back to two deer simulator because there’s a Mac and you need to bring the one the cows to us a place were as a deer a cow in a rhino the rhinos are there and she’ll give you medicine and then you can shoot why they are because that you can it’s a part of the cops

  • I’m not going to swallow it for you but it takes like almost a full week or over that I’m the biggest fan and I am actually boy I’m just using my moms pool file

  • I am going to have to go back and re-read the rules. I thought when you recieved an encounter card you resolved it after it was dealt. Does this only apply for when you deck? It was interesting that you noted that you received the card when you reach 0 deck, not when you attempt to draw from it.

  • I love the flash I have 4 flash paintings 1 pop head 1 mug 1 hat 8 or 9 shirts 6 socks and 5 underwear Sooo I like the flash a lot like if you also like the flash .

  • Great play through guys:) I am liking Mrs. Marvel more and more, she is one of the few Heroes that really wants to flip back to alter-ego, which I like.

  • Happy New Year Team. Great Game and glad to see Marvel Champions back. Rules check I think you made a mistake when Green Goblin Attacked you both at 1:50. I believe the “Attacks you” means attacking you the player not you the Hero. It doesn’t matter whether you defend with a ally or your hero or another player jumps in to protect you Green Goblin gets his 2 threat. That is my take on it. If it had meant attacks on your hero it would have been printed “your hero”. Agree the Overconfidence it states “if deals 3 damage” not inflicted 3 damage so it holds true.

  • Can you confirm there’s no cap on conditions, superpowers etc? You were talking about getting rules wrong and making the game too easy/hard and I remember feeling that ms Marvel getting a whole bunch of conditions out felt like hitting God Mode
