  • This video is really helpful, I have been doing those tips since a long time, but… but, you will be the number one when you come to China and try to keep that body on budget hahaha I come to Shanghai every year for about three month to work, I usually go high protein medium carbs low fat (60g) but when im in China, im vegetarian is the only way to stay out of the hospital hahahaha

  • My whole family eats like 1500 per meal and I’m allowed 1500 per day. So fucking annoying and I have the absolute worst will power if the food is in front of me

  • Hopetown! I love Elbow Cay. Stayed in Fry’s Mangrove and it was great. Don’t know if Captain Jack’s is still there, but we loved that restaurant. Did you make it to Man O’ War?

  • I have a question… Im on diet rn, and im working out every day, and i drink whey protein… Is it harder to lose belly fat if i drink whey protein? Because belly fat is reserve for proteins right? Sooo belly fat is going to be bigger when you drink whey protein?

  • Working out with school exams and a part time jobs??? i.e not much time? I think that applies to a lot of people. any advice? Thanks.

  • Emi I hope you stop by Flex-N-Fly at the airport. We provide stretching/relaxation classes at the airport. Our first store open in JFK in fall 2019 in NYC. I’ve been working on this for the last year and it’s to cater to travelers who suffer from anxiety and care for their overall health. Until then lovely.

  • Hi Pavel! Question: workout recovery, calisthenics vs weights?
I think that the body recovers much quicker when you only train calisthenics

  • Tarde.

  • Good tips man! I usually go totally “off the wagon” when I’m on vacation, so these are actually some realistic tips here. I like the whole balance idea, next time I’m away I’ll put these tips to use. Thanks!

  • Best travel tip Is to get your credit card so you can buy My shredded Lifestyle from amazon.Or wait for merijn to give it to you for free‍♂️‍♂️

  • Better than nothing. It’s not a bad routine, although handstands are not for everybody. I would add some leg even if you still work them while traveling (not the same type of fibers). Thanks for sharing.

  • Hey Merijn, i’m in southeast asia for 4 weeks. I always eat breakfast in the morning. how long can i do this intermittent fasting thing for?

  • Offcourse it is hard to stay shredded while your traveling. But when your travelling it is also hard when your bulking to get enough food in to make gainz. And even more important.. Not losing those gainz!! It would nice to see some more vids about bulking instead of staying lean all the time. Because we have to make gainz to look good when we are shredded

  • Best tip for me is definitely intermittent fasting because I’m not usually hungry in the morning but my apetite opens up towards the end of the day. Great video as always Merijn, keep up the good work!:D

  • Hey pavel can you give tips like how to build a strong chest through bench pressing and strong legs through squats for strength training…like everything you need to know for bench and squats cuz all the powerlifting channels are too advanced they want to push performence like widen the grip to minimise the distance the bar has to travel and other hacks but there are people who believe one can build muscle and strength in natural athletes as muscle devolopment is inevitable in natural athletes…hope you get my point and i would love to see you make a video amd thumbs up for this video!

  • Thanks bro, I’m going on a small tour around Europe next week and I was thinking about exactly this, any gym recommendations in Amsterdam?

  • nice vid man as always also great timing man cuz am just about to travel to poland next week and I really wanna maintain my physique thanks man

  • My favorite tip is to drink lots of water, because it helps me to stay full and delay my fast. Besides that it´s also healthy and now I love to drink water instead of drinking soft drinks, which I now see as a waste of consuming calories to hit your daily calorie intake.

  • Glad to see you’re back, I haven’t seen any fitness related videos from you in what feels like months! I was a little afraid you have had enough of Youtube, so I’m mostly replying to wish you luck and say that I hope you stick around for a bit your exercise content is always baller.

  • My fav tip is to choose trackable meals because it is too difficult and i always try to do that but because i am not sure i pretty much overestimate a little the meals.

  • Great video! Any tips for when your visiting family and you don’t want to be rude and not eat the food they prepare but said foods are not going to help you reach your goals

  • You have a perfect body…..very attractive indeed. I hope you have a significant other to bring you happiness, because you deserve it. Love from Brazil!

  • i always have to laugh if some fitness guys talk about cortisol release and stress, you have no clue how much cortisol your body actually has to release thrugh stress so that it would actually affect your gains, cortisol dosnt do shit to a guy who has a normal daily job and some stress at home, in his relationship or whatever, it dosnt affect ur gains at all…what really counts though is sleep, if you sleep bad every night you will fuck up your gains pretty fast

  • man you’re really the embodiment of eating GOOD FOOD while still having a healthy body! All I can see when people work out is that they make meal plans and eat healthy food that taste like shit. You really proved to the world that you can eat good food while eating healthy!

  • I think that the best tip would be: Always taking your protein supplements with you because you can simply take them everywhere. For example when you’re hiking in a forest or above a mountain and you need to eat something than you can simply take a proteinbar or energybar

  • Hi Kevin! I don’t have enough strength to do any of your exercises so I’ll just watch you. Lol. The only exercise I can really do is speed walk for about 5 miles a day. You look really great, keep up the good work

  • hi Merijan!
I love training, I train right now 5 days a week three gym and two cardio, but the thing is that I have Celebral palsy and possibly can’t train as hard as normal people but I have my own program and do what I can do. My question to you is about protein intake, you Dailly Is 3g/kg and day? I wondering if any of that protein converts into glucose? If not, is it dependent on how hard you train?

PS I have lost 3 kg now, mostly fat it seems and starting to see my abs without flexing, my first intermediate fasting!

    Cheers!

  • Just subscribed after this being the second video, really enjoy your content and authenticity. I am going to Phuket, Thailand myself for 2 weeks solo in a week! It will be my first international travel, very very excited for all that it will bring; great food, new culture, beautiful weather and beaches! Keep it up sir!

  • Great stuff. You could also throw a folded towel over the top of the bathroom door and either do pullups, negative pullups, hold at the tops, or hangers. Pressing your knees against the door can also give you a few extra seconds endurance as well!

  • My method is… I just don’t binge. I eat until I’m satisfied and I don’t gain any weight. Our body is great at maintaining weight and handling small surpluses. The most damage you can do is very minimal which will probably be burned off as NEAT. Plus eating high protein also helps.

  • You men Are A very Good mentor or example for Me.. Im A Chef with A minimum of 11 to 12 hours in the kitchen. I hit the gym almost 4 to 5 times A day But I cant Help to Eat because of the energy Im exirting While Im on kitchen. And Its hard for Me to build muscles

Malaysia and Thailand next. Keep up the great content✔️

  • My tip is: Don’t chug water when you’re about to be having a flight(s), especially when on creatine. Having to piss every half an hour when travelling sucks

  • Thank you for your travel workout. They are very useful. I will try to squeeze some time for doing a short workout like u while I m on my vacation next week. I left u a msg in your instagram before, and u reply me shortly. You’re sweet and you’re such an inspiration

  • How do I bring up a lagging body part? My arms aren’t proportional with my chest and back. I want to gain size on my arms as shoulders while maintaining or gaining strength in my chest and back

  • My favorit travel tip is to use the time you have. As example if you are waiting for your flight in the airport and there are still 2-3 hours left your can easily do some Handstands or Pushups, maybe also Pullups to get a small pump and feel good between all the sitting down in the airplane.

  • Hey Paul, I was wondering what your view on intermittent fasting is. I’ve been doing it for about 2 weeks and have seen muscle gain and fat loss, wondering what your view was on it.

  • I’m in the gym a lot and lovin’ it. What you’re doing is really hard but I’ll give it a try. Like you said: slowly slowly……The beach looks extremely sexy and worth the effort getting there.Been to India, but never to Sri Lanka.More videos, please!

  • Best tip for me is definitely intermittent fasting because I’m not usually hungry in the morning but my apetite opens up towards the end of the day. Great video as always Merijn, keep up the good work!:D

  • What options do you have when you can’t find anything to do pull-ups on? When I have traveled in Japan ive rarely seen suitable things for pull-ups even in parks

  • Good tips man! I usually go totally “off the wagon” when I’m on vacation, so these are actually some realistic tips here. I like the whole balance idea, next time I’m away I’ll put these tips to use. Thanks!

  • Thanks for the tips! I’m taking off to travel for a year and i’m so in love with fitness and nutrition that it’s been stressing me out a bit because I do want to be on track as much as possible, but I know it wont always be that way. It will definitely be challenging figuring out what to pack supplement wise.

  • Kevin, head up the headlands across the road from Tiki Bar in Marissa to The Cliff Chef Akilla Kitchen (its on Maps.Me) they do a freakin’ huge and insane Massaman curry and it’s legit! Yeah, that’s right, screw exercise I’m all about food.

  • I’d love to learn more about the changes you personally notice while you were going through your lean bulk! Such as water retention, bloating, gas, etc. and how long it lasted before your body could adjust! Absolutely love your content and radiance, I’m going to incorporate these tips into my vacation this weekend to visit family. It’s amazing and so refreshing to have these reminders and set the tone for the vacation, to reduce stress, and set yourself for success so, thank you very much!!

  • I love this. I love calisthenics, but I wasn’t sure if it was possible to get as shredded as you just doing calisthenics. Now I know! Awesome channel!

  • You built your body with no weights just body weight exercises? If so I’m quitting the gym and will do what you do. I would love to have your body.

  • I prefer the type of your old videos. I am following you since you started your YouTube channel and I have to say that your old videos are much better. I will always support you. Have a nice day!

  • The more I look at how clean and developed Sri Lanka is looking the more I realize union of India is a failed and completely flawed concept. great video.

  • The best travel tip is definitely the fact that not everything will be perfect and you should just enjoy your vacation.
Thanks Merijn for your good work and the daily motivation! #myshreddedlifestyle

  • I am so hooked with all ur videos Emi! Tried them everyday and its all killing me but I am still so much into it…Thank u for d inspiration

  • I’d be interested to hear how you go about planning a workout or a few weeks worth of workouts. There’s all these progressions everywhere handstands, planche, ring muscle ups, etc.but I find it hard to combine them into productive workouts. Or would you recommend focusing on one progression at a time? Thank you!

  • Working out in nature is so much better! But What diet and what kind of foods would you recommend to loose weight? Great video, big fan of your channel

  • man you’re really the embodiment of eating GOOD FOOD while still having a healthy body! All I can see when people work out is that they make meal plans and eat healthy food that taste like shit. You really proved to the world that you can eat good food while eating healthy!

  • Wow!! I am super impressed. Also, that dog was following you. So cute! Not sure if you are a dog person but how can you not pet all those dogs? Serious question.

  • Dope video! I have a full body routine using my company’s hip bands and sliders when I don’t have access to a gym. P.S. New sub straight outta Travel like a boss podcast. Keep killing it!

  • Hey man, thanks a ton for honoring the request and making a video about workout while traveling. I like your routines. My No. 1 exercise while traveling has to be pushups as well. Mostly because it is a multi-purpose exercise engaging a whole range of muscle groups and it is easy to do anywhere anytime. And to engage my lower body, I do squats (weighted or not) and lunges (sideways, forward). Like you, I do pull-ups as well but they are slightly more challenging in terms of location. It’s not always easy to find a tree/door frame/equipment sturdy enough for 50 pull-ups. Handstands are a hurdle I need to overcome. I find it difficult to stay balanced while hand-standing. Any tip on how to train yourself to the point where you can easily stand on your hands for, say 20 seconds? Other than that, walking and jogging are always good, in my opinion. Again, thanks so much for sharing your life. Such beautiful views where you are and am happy for you for living a great lifestyle.

  • I think you may have mentioned somewhere on a previous video, but what kind of fitness watch do you use? Also what kind of scale did you use in your steps video?

  • Kevin, I somehow impressed with your front of the cam story telling skills… no offense but did you read the text from some kind of teleprompter like tab prompter? Bottomline this was just another great content I mean Kevin and his mind!!!

  • I’ve been abroad a couple times now, and am currently studying abroad, and I’ve never known how to stay for while traveling. Thanks for the ideas and inspiration!

  • Also Emi i need to ask you,do you struggle with bloating during vacations????? i’m a person who gets bloated pretty easily, which doesn’t go right with my mental state so i really want to avoid this problem

  • This guy: does pull ups and hand stands even when on vacation
Me: ugh I’m too lazy to go to the gym after work because then I’ll be home so late

  • Better than nothing. It’s not a bad routine, although handstands are not for everybody. I would add some leg even if you still work them while traveling (not the same type of fibers). Thanks for sharing.

  • What options do you have when you can’t find anything to do pull-ups on? When I have traveled in Japan ive rarely seen suitable things for pull-ups even in parks

  • Loved all the tips! I personally would LOVE to see a Denver (or around Denver) adventure! Like things you do when you’re not working, for fun, etc

Still in shape en toch super genoten .

  • Body weight stuff is great, but I also bring an elastic exercise band, the ribbon kind. Takes up no space at all and adds a few extra exercise options, they tend to break after a while though.

  • What excercises you recomend for Hiatal Hernia,or any hernia?I have sliding hernia,it means it is present sometimes, sometimes not, doctors say i should not lift heavy weights,i have been doing weighted pull ups for years, dont think that is harming me,any advice?

  • I’ve been trying to learn the front lever since June this year. Even though I’ve progressed quite a bit, I keep getting injuries like tendonitis in my elbows, and now in my left latissimus muscle. How do you work past this?
I ve tried resting but the pain in my lat keeps coming back. thanks

  • Paul, you should make a video about hamstring and lower extremity exercises with body fitness. Do you incorporate the shocking principle into your exercises regiments?

  • My tip is: Don’t chug water when you’re about to be having a flight(s), especially when on creatine. Having to piss every half an hour when travelling sucks

  • We are going on a cruise in February I chose the cabin that is the furthest from the stairs and we will not be taking the elevator. With excursions,,y goal is 20k steps a day and I think it will be easy.

Me: ugh I’m too lazy to go to the gym after work because then I’ll be home so late

  • Greetings from Turkey! You are doing very good job Merijn. I am glad to find you in Youtube. Makes me feel motivated to eat healthy!

  • You have a perfect body…..very attractive indeed. I hope you have a significant other to bring you happiness, because you deserve it. Love from Brazil!

  • The key to getting in shape is: you don’t. That’s what vacation is suppose to be. To relax, to not think about working out, exercise ect. I use my time on vacation to hang out with friends, having a good time and not being strict with the diet. Don’t get me wrong, I sometimes work out twice a day for the whole year, except this week. I seriously don’t give a fuck about my diet now, or else I will be going crazy! Just my point of view on the wole vacation thing.

  • I think rubber loops are better to take with you on traveling than a pull-up bar. They are also perfect for replacing weights. Like, you can do push ups with a rubber loop on you and it’s almost like bench press.

  • Could you put a link in the description or in the comments section to where you bought that pull up bar you showed in the video? Thank You

  • Wow!! I am super impressed. Also, that dog was following you. So cute! Not sure if you are a dog person but how can you not pet all those dogs? Serious question.

  • wow inspiring video man. But I am really embarrassed I can only do about 20 pushups and 3 pull ups! do you have any tips on increasing the volume?

  • Working out with school exams and a part time jobs??? i.e not much time? I think that applies to a lot of people. any advice? Thanks.

  • Hello, should I train in a circuit fashion or should I complete all sets of each exercise at once and how much rest for both, thanks

  • The best travel tip is definitely the fact that not everything will be perfect and you should just enjoy your vacation.
Thanks Merijn for your good work and the daily motivation! #myshreddedlifestyle

  • My fav tip is to choose trackable meals because it is too difficult and i always try to do that but because i am not sure i pretty much overestimate a little the meals.

  • Your protein powder never gets checked because you are white. If I carried protein powder with me across the border. Immigration and customs enforcement would crucify me upside down like St. PETER and then lock me up at Guantanamo Bay. Try walking a mile in a Haji’s shoes whitty.

  • We are going on a cruise in February I chose the cabin that is the furthest from the stairs and we will not be taking the elevator. With excursions,,y goal is 20k steps a day and I think it will be easy.

  • nice vid man as always also great timing man cuz am just about to travel to poland next week and I really wanna maintain my physique thanks man

  • Hey paul…using a pull ups bar how can i train the biceps long head??.because the chin ups focus alot on the short head…so the biceps will look big from inside and flat from outside…any help??..thanks alot

  • Keeping water intake up is THE TIP. I’m used to drinking 3-4 liters a day, so last year I was traveling and my water intake was so bad and I ended up fainting in the airplane on the way back home. Point of the story.. DRINK YOUR WATER

  • Fortres, what do you think about “overtraining”? training the same muscle every day 7 days a week. for strenght and hypertrofy. Actualy it works very well for me, but i want i know what do you think about it. Thanks

  • This dude is like in his 20s. I’d like to see his gut when he’s 44 like me, I have about 20 pounds that no matter what I can’t get rid of because your energy level and hormones and testosterone changes after 38 to 40 years old

  • I think that the best tip would be: Always taking your protein supplements with you because you can simply take them everywhere. For example when you’re hiking in a forest or above a mountain and you need to eat something than you can simply take a proteinbar or energybar

  • Any reason you were being pretty strict? I feel you could’ve easily indulged a bit more/had all that fish finger side sauce;) but I get why you were a little more strict for the video.

  • I think you have planned to film a workout video in airport for a long time, haha! Good try and yes, we can workout in many places if you want.

  • Dope video! I have a full body routine using my company’s hip bands and sliders when I don’t have access to a gym. P.S. New sub straight outta Travel like a boss podcast. Keep killing it!

  • Greetings from Turkey! You are doing very good job Merijn. I am glad to find you in Youtube. Makes me feel motivated to eat healthy!

  • I have a question… Im on diet rn, and im working out every day, and i drink whey protein… Is it harder to lose belly fat if i drink whey protein? Because belly fat is reserve for proteins right? Sooo belly fat is going to be bigger when you drink whey protein?

  • Offcourse it is hard to stay shredded while your traveling. But when your travelling it is also hard when your bulking to get enough food in to make gainz. And even more important.. Not losing those gainz!! It would nice to see some more vids about bulking instead of staying lean all the time. Because we have to make gainz to look good when we are shredded

  • Your protein powder never gets checked because you are white. If I carried protein powder with me across the border. Immigration and customs enforcement would crucify me upside down like St. PETER and then lock me up at Guantanamo Bay. Try walking a mile in a Haji’s shoes whitty.

  • There is no excuse to not workout while traveling. I always carry an elastic band when I travel and do some mobility work with it. Bodyweight exercises take care of the rest.

  • This video is much more informative than all the fitness videos out there on YouTube.
I like it so much buddy, keep up with good work

  • Tarde.

  • Hopetown! I love Elbow Cay. Stayed in Fry’s Mangrove and it was great. Don’t know if Captain Jack’s is still there, but we loved that restaurant. Did you make it to Man O’ War?

  • Hi paul
I am currently injured and have been injured for about a week now and im unsure how to workout. i usually workout 6 days a week doing cardio and bodyweight but as i have a wrist injury right now i cant. Could you give me some advice or help with some workouts i can do that dont put strain on my wrist?

    Thanks a lot

  • Tip no.6 have thousands of pounds of debt and not go on holidays ever because your hardworking parents are struggling to pay lawyers bills

  • Hey Merijn, i’m in southeast asia for 4 weeks. I always eat breakfast in the morning. how long can i do this intermittent fasting thing for?

  • What excercises you recomend for Hiatal Hernia,or any hernia?I have sliding hernia,it means it is present sometimes, sometimes not, doctors say i should not lift heavy weights,i have been doing weighted pull ups for years, dont think that is harming me,any advice?

  • This dude is like in his 20s. I’d like to see his gut when he’s 44 like me, I have about 20 pounds that no matter what I can’t get rid of because your energy level and hormones and testosterone changes after 38 to 40 years old

  • Love the vids.
I’m currently on my 2 month long honeymoon. What do you suggest with no hotel gyms and extremely good fried chicken around the corner?

  • Hey, I LOVE your videos but I hope I can follow the workout with you in real time. cuz now you’ve shorten every move which I can’t follow in front of tv at home. <3

  • Body weight stuff is great, but I also bring an elastic exercise band, the ribbon kind. Takes up no space at all and adds a few extra exercise options, they tend to break after a while though.

  • Do you count macros when traveling? I’m going to Dubai for a week and I will most likely have to eat out the WHOLE week. Got a gym though but nutrition is a problem since I meal prep all year round.

  • You built your body with no weights just body weight exercises? If so I’m quitting the gym and will do what you do. I would love to have your body.

  • Hey I work for a marketing company. If you want to invest in your own channel and see some real growth go to http://www.smartketing.co.uk

  • Hey, I LOVE your videos but I hope I can follow the workout with you in real time. cuz now you’ve shorten every move which I can’t follow in front of tv at home. <3

    Thank you emi

  • Literally going away tomorrow and was thinking about training and how to get my proteins in. This is perfect! Also rate your advise and tips safe bro

  • gravity? oh that THEORY/lie told to us to convince us we are on a spinning ball hahaha with no evidence for it! (its flat ofcourse)!

  • HELLO BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE!!! Here I include my top 8 tips on how I travel and not completely throw my progress out the window. TRUST ME I’ve been there… it sucks when you come home and feel completely off track. SO I created some easy shmeasy tips for you that I have been using for a while and that actually WORK!!! Enjoy!

  • For me the best solution for workouts while traveling is using a resistance band. They are very easy to pack and they allow GREAT exercises

  • Keeping water intake up is THE TIP. I’m used to drinking 3-4 liters a day, so last year I was traveling and my water intake was so bad and I ended up fainting in the airplane on the way back home. Point of the story.. DRINK YOUR WATER

  • thank you so much Emi i really needed this rn cos i’m just laying down and feeling miserable cos i’m pretty sure i ate way more than i should today but it’s because i had to travel to another state and get back in the same day for my sister’s uni subscribtions, and fast food is too much food,i have no idea how am i gonna go through a 10 days of vacay in Algiers, than another week in my mom’s hometown,i thought i’d feel amazing and fit, allow myself to eat more after a hard 2 months and a half of crazy workout but that’s not it,i’m just not able to accept the idea of eating that much,i’m stuck here, terrified of gaining fat and i’m just not sure how to do this anymore, really expected more from myself……
anyways you’re really motivating and nice and helpful and i thank you for all that you share with us and help us with!! <3

  • Best travel tip Is to get your credit card so you can buy My shredded Lifestyle from amazon.Or wait for merijn to give it to you for free‍♂️‍♂️

  • 1-2 years ago I was doing daily 130-150 pushups saw drastic changes to my body I stopped doing them because I met my ex-gf and was self conscious of doing them in front of anyone. ( in highschool I wasnt even able to do 1 push-up) fast forward I am with someone else that push me to go with her to the gym I am still not nearly as strong as when I just did my pushups but this video of my fav monkeyabroad just gave me the motivation to get back into it. Set small goals for yourself and just reach for them. Thanks for such an inspirational vid

  • I love this. I love calisthenics, but I wasn’t sure if it was possible to get as shredded as you just doing calisthenics. Now I know! Awesome channel!

  • My method is… I just don’t binge. I eat until I’m satisfied and I don’t gain any weight. Our body is great at maintaining weight and handling small surpluses. The most damage you can do is very minimal which will probably be burned off as NEAT. Plus eating high protein also helps.

  • I think you have planned to film a workout video in airport for a long time, haha! Good try and yes, we can workout in many places if you want.

  • thank you so much Paul for your video. I need to buy this bar urgently as I have been watching all your videos. You inspire me to take care of my health.
