    The most important thing is to really knead it for very very long time, it’ll make sure your pasta isn’t mushy

Yes there are a few brands or if you buy it at a fish market. It might several different types of fish. If they were putting any old type of fish they can find. Do you know how nasty that would taste even if it was boiled and flavoring was added. In most imitation crab I like the one they showed is made from one sometimes two types of fish one being Pollock and the other being white fish. Sometimes these two fish are combined it. But usually the main suspect and all imitation crab is the Pollock. Most Packaging we’ll tell you what type of fish is in the imitation crab. I’ve never seen the ingredients. Of imitation crab. That said there was more then two different types of fish being used to making there imitation crab. actually I just took a few minute break to go see what percentage of imitation crab makers use Pollock in there imitation crab. The answer is 92% of imitation crab in the United States uses Pollock. So that pretty much means every time you buy imitation crab it’s going to be Pollock. So no one has to worry about eating imitation crab. It’s not gross. The Pollock is a clean fish and is not that desired in United States because of the little flavor it has by itself.   • I had to come back to this podcast to comment on the “book smart” thing. Way too often I find myself pretty embarrassed that I don’t read a story much as my friends and especially not as fast—it’s definitely an insecurity of mine. Partially it’s because I know they’re easily consuming all of these stories and knowledge while I’m not, but it’s mostly because I fear people will see me as a dumb person (compared to them) simply because I never had much of an interest in reading—they also excel so naturally at school subjects. I’ve tried so hard for years and years to get into stories (I don’t mind reading articles or usually short stories) but I’ve found I’d rather spend an hour reading a summary of the plot online rather than reading the actual book (probably because I don’t read fast and I like to make it quick and easy:p)

  • chemicals aren’t necessarily bad. Ascorbic acid (vitamin A) Cholecalciferol, ß-keratin, Fructose, and Cellulose are all examples of things that we consume.

  • I’ve never heard anyone ever make the claim that transglutaminase helps destroy ecoli. Every label I’ve ever read and any research suggests that meat that has been treated with “meat glue” should be thoroughly cooked because of bacteria. Dunno where you get the information that they say “it helps fight ecoli” but it isn’t a thing.

  • Best recipe for 2 people:
    150g ’00’ tipo flour
    50g semolina
    2 eggs
    optionally, 3g of salt and a dash of olive oil

    Mix everything in a bowl with your hands or a spoon, no need to put it on the work surface.
    Once it adheres and almost all the flour is incorporated, dust your surface with some flour and knead the dough anywhere from 2-7 minutes, longer if you want a more supple dough.
    Once soft and smooth, wrap the dough in cling film tightly and let it rest for at least 30 minutes.
    Once rested, you can roll it however you want, but it’s best to cut into 2-4 pieces and roll them out into a square or rectangle shape, dust with flour, fold and cut.

    To cook the pasta, boil a pan of very salty water, it should taste like the sea. Cook the pasta for 2 minutes or until the pasta floats, and then drain.

    Semolina is best if you want a restaurant quality pasta, as it adds a density to the texture which balances out the fine 00 tipo grain, whereas only using ’00’ tipo produces a texture than can feel overcooked or overly soft.

  • This is hands down the best pasta recipe that I have tried so far. I made spaguettis and ricotta ravioli and my family devowered both. I am not going to lie, at the beggining I was alarmed by the quantity of eggs and egg yolks… as other recepies use just one… but the dough is excellent, easy to work with, perfection, the taste is delicious.     For example I enjoy my diet. I eat a healthy diet consisting of things like oatmeal, smoothies, veggie burgers, pasta rice chicken potatoes steak, yogurt etc…. all very enjoyable foods. Its a joy to eat

    However once a week on Sunday I like to eat a microwave chicken curry rice meal with fries. Thats a cheat meal and far more enjoyable that my usual diet even though my diet is very enjoyable. And I couldn’t get away with eating that microwave meal on a dailly basis. Nor could I stick to my diet if I wasn’t allowed that cheat meal once per week

  • I honestly don’t understand overnight oats. My Mum does them now and loves them. But to me, porridge is meant to be warm and thick, not cold and liquidy. Like I want my porridge thick enough the spoon will stand up in it. The overnight stuff seems to look so soggy and runny and there are all these bits in it…
    And then there is how much extra work is involved. You have to know the night before what you even want to eat for breakfast the next day (how?), you have to remember to sort out preparing it in advance in the evening which is when I’d be having dinner (we eat dinner after 8pm so cooking dinner happens before that, meaning the overnight oats either needs to be made earlier than that, or after dinner, which means making it at bed time). And then in the morning you have this soggy mess to deal with trying to make palatable. It needs heating up until its actually a decent consistency and temperature. At which point it would have been quicker just to heat the milk in a pan, add the oats, add the sugar, and then cook it till its done, then top with more sugar because yummy. That way you don’t have an extra container to have to clean up either.

I think most kids misinterpret at least one thing growing up. I used to think that varicose veins, were “very close veins”. Favourite smells are wet dirt, freshly mowed grass, and I actually use vanilla oil as my perfume.

I have this weird distinct memory of watching TV with my parents and a PSA came on about it and I said, But you guys drink all the time!   • Heyooo! As a fellow Canadian, who has struggled with eczema and makeup allergies here’s what I did!

    Change your laundry detergents to the sensitive skin brands (liquid/pods/dryer sheets and softeners)! Especially your bedding! Since that is what your facial skin touches most and for the longest time.
    Also moisturizers and skin care routine (zero fragrance is really your friend with sensitive skin).
    And I use only too faced and tarte for eyes and the ordinary for foundation.

    Hope that helps for anyone experiencing skin problems/sensitivity ❤️❤️❤️
