If we use a rough guideline of 12 cal/lb as an average caloric intake during the lowcarb week, an individual might alternate a day at slightly lower calorie levels (for example one day at 11 calories/pound) with days at slightly higher calorie levels (14 calories per pound) to get fat loss going again.

  • Drinking diet soda was helpful, it boost metabolism. The sweeteners in diet products trick the brain and raises your metabolic rate by 300%. No calories, no weight gain.

  • This is not healthy nor sustainable!! Do NOT attempt this. You will crash and burn. Slow and steady wins the race when it comes to losing weight. You will develop a terrible relationship with food eating on such a big caloric deficit.

  • If anyone tries this diet be smarter than the fool in the video, work out your 1000 calorie a day diet by opening up to wider variety of food groups. You can diet much healthier than this… find smarter, healthier people to follow, not his guy.

  • today I ate only 358 calories but at the same time I feel so weak. I can’t even perform exercise and yoga. It feels like my knees are weak enough in performing such and so my whole body. unlike my first week of workout without starving myself, I did perform workouts very well. almost 30 minutes every day.:( what will I do? my cousin’s wedding is 9 days from now:'(

  • I’ve been doing this for almost 3 weeks and it’s surprisingly easy. So far I’ve lost 16 lbs, and I still have 20 lbs to go. I’ll likely be doing this all the way through till September.

    Update: 25 lbs lost now.

  • Trying this 500 calorie diet I plan to do this for 2 months or so. Day 1: Hungry, but manageable. I ate one apple, two eggs, 40 grapes, and some water melon.

  • On a 1200-1300kcal diet this is what I eat:
    Breakfast;
2 pears & 100g strawberries. 1 Muller light yogurt pot. Seems to fill me up or 2 poached eggs on toast
    Lunch:
200g cucumber, 50g humus, 120g smoked salmon, slice of seeded bread and 40g dry roasted nuts (morrisons are the best)
    Dinner:
Really varies but normally a medium/large sweet potato with a can of tuna and a few tablespoons of light mayo with baked beans or something
    Snacks:
    Seafood sticks (only 20kcals!!)
    Flavoured rice cakes
    Plums and apples
    Toast
    Bananas
    Roasted kale.

It does vary but that’s what I eat. I do not drink enough either so yeah…

  • Really impressed you’re able to eat out on 1500 calories. Those meals looked bomb though! Great video. My last video was a full day of eating video too!

  • I tend to eat the same way you do but I am trying to be more healthy in my choices. I am a lot older than you are so I have to watch it if I want to live to a ripe-ish old age, haha. Anyway, I just have 17 pounds more to go after losing 35 pounds counting calories. Thank you for stating all you ate. I would say to try to cut down on sugary treats but I’m telling this to myself. too! Anyway, congrats on your loss!

  • I’ve tried the OMAD diet but now I’m on to this one
    Breakfast: skip or 2 eggs
    Lunch: none
Dinner: Normal dinner usually around 200-400 calories

  • 1200 calories is low but it’s not actually unhealthy. I’ve struggled with binge eating due to stress for the past year. But only recently within the last month have I recovered and put myself on a diet. I’ve been eating 1200 calories for the past 4 days and some days I feel tired but I think I’ll be able to maintain the 1200 for the last 6 days making it 10 days at the diet. Then maintaining my weight at 1600 calories a day. I’m also on a tight budget. So I can’t really afford to eat more lol

  • i can confirm him losing 4kg in a week is legit. I also did a similar diet, 1300 calories per day for a week and i did lose 2.7kg.

  • I love these what I eat in a day. I have been looking for ways to loose weight too. It so easy to get stuck in an eating rut. Your videos help me add new ideas to my cooking. Thanks, Samantha!

  • Mangosteens are my absolute favourite fruit! You don’t need to remove the top first. just hold it upside down and then press/pull apart simultaneously.

  • I was going to start my 500 calorie a day diet tomorrow and doing it all wrong. I like your method. SO glad I found you and this video because now I’m going to start after my next grocery run when I get all the ingredients on your downloadable diet plan. Thank you!!

  • You already look great and slimmer!!! Love this video, it gives inspiration to people that have trouble with weight lost! ❤️ thanks

  • I think, the thing which u are doing can not make your life style, is useless.
Why to do this much, after stopping these calories restrictions that weight will in multplied form and not even safe to do.

  • I have been doing this for a while and I have collapsed multiple times with my friends, family, and just while walking my dog. While I did loose weight fast its not healthy. My friends were on constant worry.

  • Calories are calories just because a food is low in calories and high in volume doesn’t mean u will be full ur gonna still hungry because is a very low calorie diet

  • Just cut 500 calories below maintenance plus your exercise calories and you’re good to go. No struggling, you maintain your muscle and feel energetic. I chow low sugar, low fat, high protein protein bars as a snack every day. That’ll satiate your chocolate craving.

  • For anyone saying this is dangerous and unhealthy, it is not unhealthy at all. If a person is obese they can do this diet and safely lose all the fat with great results to their health and well-being. This is by no means a good diet for people who are just a little overweight, understand the difference between the two it isn’t complicated, just simple science.

  • Hey man love your content!! Could you possibly do a month long diet video, but keeping calories a lot more sustainable (around 2300 cals Id assume)

  • Only problem is that you’re eating multiple meals that are all low calorie, and repeatedly triggering your hunger hormone (ghrelin). To eat something so small, start to build up your ghrelin, and then force yourself to stop? Complete suffering.

The only thing that works is something sustainable, that you enjoy. I use to think OMAD was completely crazy, but I was holding on to a lot of “it’s totally unhealthy!” and thought it was starvation. Was totally wrong. 4-6 small meals a day is suffering.

You should try this challenge again with OMAD if you want to do any type of calorie restriction, even at 1200 it’s a million times more sustainable than what you were doing here. That, and don’t get too obsessed over health food, you can still enjoy chocolate/cake/icecream/etc, just in a smaller amount like 300-500 calories. I would suggest a minimum of 1500-1800 calories and 30-60 min of light exercise (that you actually enjoy) a day.

  • I need 500 calories a day to weight loss because of my PCOS
I walked 6 miles a day and 1000 calorie per day for 20 days but 2 pound weight loss. I need to go through zero sugar, zero carbohydrate and very high protein diet max 500 calorie a day. I need to loose 25lb

Please introduce some foods and snack for this diet. Also, I recently started to use flaxseed too plus L-Carnitine.

Is there any protein bar with zero carb please?

  • Okay so anyone that’s watching this should read this comment. I was 175 pounds of body fat, I am now 148 pounds the only fat I have is a tad bit on my love handles and that because I fell back into old eating habbits. I lost that weight in a month. My diet consisted of: Breakfasttuna salad (just with lite Mayo and mustard) roughly 300 calories. Lunch2 Grilled chicken breasts 400 calories. Dinner 4 over easy eggs(NO TOAST) 360 calories. Plus a whey protein shake 200 calories. 1260 calories total. I worked out 3 times a weak only lifting. Mainly bench press, lat pull down. Dumbbells, and squats. IF YOU FOLLOW THIS IT WILL WORK AND THATS A PROMISE

  • Research the matador study. You diet for 2 weeks at a 30 to 35% caloric deficit. Then you eat at maintenance for 2 weeks. In your case you eat 1950 to 2100cals with lots of protein for two weeks then eat 3000 the next two weeks.1200 cals is too low for a man I think 1800 is the lowest that men should go..

  • A 1,000 cal per day diet with exercise will give me 1.7 pounds per week weightloss.
It pushes me into an “avalanche” region where weightloss rate is the highest possible.
However, I could never do it while employed (I’m retired now). I’ve only done it when unemployed and retired when I can sleep and rest during the day when fatigued.

  • My family never ate fast food or drank soda. The reason I’m fat is because I eat a lot of cheese and soup/ramen…. I stopped eating and I only eat once a day 1egg spinach broccoli zucchini and water is my meal. I lost weight but I feel like I don’t loose enough weight I tried fasting too but this really takes time. I went from 175lbs to 160lbs in two weeks, I still look the same but I can feel differences around my body. And no I’m not starving myself… I’ve tried different healthy diets and for me it’s just too much food. I’m used to eating 1 to 2 meals

  • I think, the thing which u are doing can not make your life style, is useless.
Why to do this much, after stopping these calories restrictions that weight will in multplied form and not even safe to do.

  • Calories are calories just because a food is low in calories and high in volume doesn’t mean u will be full ur gonna still hungry because is a very low calorie diet

  • It’s always a good idea to get your hormones checked, your cortisol levels. Maybe a full CBC panel. Restricted calories diets slow down aging process.

  • A question for you! Do you worry about protein intake? These days, at least here in US, it is encouraged to focus on having somewhere between 10-20 g of protein per meal. What do you think?

  • Today I ate 1000 calories. This is what I ate.
    9:00 A.M. Coffee
    12:00 P.M. 2 slices of whole wheat bread + 1 banana = 220 calories
    3:00 P.M. 2 apples = 180 calories
    6:00 P.M. slices of whole wheat bread + 4 egg whites = 188 calories.
588 calories in total for the day. Since calorie labels are not always accurate, I’m going to ad 50 calories which will result in 638 calories.
I feel full for the day but I don’t know if eating 638 calories is healthy or unhealthy.

  • I usually eat 1,500 calories a day so I decided to do this for a while

do not continue this if you start feeling very sick, just eat mainly healthy and remove fat foods

  • Have you tried shirataki noodles yet? I have no had a chance to watch all your videos yet. They are super low cal about 0-15 calories for a pack and can be found at freshco next to the tofu. Amazing in stir fry or even with fettuccini! They are filling too!

  • I’m 5’6, female and I weight 120 pounds and I only ever eat 600 cals a day, I can’t fit much more in my belly plus i get stressed out if I eat more.. i hate seeing my belly get big because it’s a problem area for me.. i may be 120 but i look chubby because I have a high body fat percentage

  • I’m already ‘skinny’, but I have body dysmorphia, I just see FAT every time I look in the mirror.

    (I’m almost 16, a girl, 5’10 and 139 pounds)

That might sound like a lot, my at my height it’s okay.

I want to lose 10 pounds in 10 days, based on these results, I think I might need to eat even less calories, like 200.

(If anyone’s wondering why 10 days, Ramadan ends then and we’ll have this Eid celebration, in Quarantine tho)

  • I eat around 500 calories a day. Ive havent ate normally for a long time. Im not doing this for myself. Im doing this for others, their opinions about me and my body.. the only reason i eat 500 is because of my family. If not them id eadily starve myself..

  • DON’T ATTEMPT THIS You’ll see from other comments, this isn’t healthy and I hope the video gets that across too. Big love to everyone who has struggled with stuff like this x

  • It’s actually pretty hard for me to follow these kind of plans because in my family we usually eat Ethiopian foods so if i try to count calories i have to start from the ingredients but this is what i ate (miser is a Ethiopian food)
    Breakfast:
Green tea with 1 vanilla French creamer
    1 boiled egg
    Lunch:
    1/4 a cup of miser
Half of a pita bread slice
    Dinner:
    1/2 a cup of beans
I am starting it today wish me luck!

  • I love how you’re looking at this whole process. It’s all about learning how to live a healthier lifestyle. You look great:) congrats!

  • H i am 38yr old. 5’9 ht…and 190-200..i eat 700calr. 500cal daily been doing it for 1yr now but I also take multivitamins daily and eat cereal with vitamins in them In work out 5times a week do you think i can keep this up with out healthy problems.

  • My husband and I went on Nutrisystem for a time..2 months. He lost almost 20 lbs and i lost 11. However, we were ONLY eating their food 3 times a day and nothing in between but water. No veggies to supplement. I had no energy by 10 a.m. and could hardly get through the workday… turns out we were down to 350-400 calories a day…so in essence we were starving. We lost muscle more than fat. Disclaimer: we weren’t following the Nutrisystem recommended supplement foods so that was our fault..not theirs. My real point is that we did NOT have high volume foods nor high nutritional foods during those couple months! We gained back all lost after we went off their program.

  • I started a 1000-1200 calorie diet around 2 weeks ago, and it’s been working. My waist went down from 32-28
And I’ve got more energy for some reason, and I’m always full so I don’t think it’s that dangerous.

  • Im eating 500 calories a day without thinking it. I just cannot eat more its not unhealthy and you dont need to “prepare mentally”. I think that its a little overdramatic.

  • Mind over matter cookie! Switching from one diet to another in contrast suddenly is not healthy and you will likely feel fatigued. I have had a weight loss journey myself going from 13 stone at heaviest down to lowest 9. I’m 5”4 lol and should sit around 10. I looked ill on and off through my weight loss journey but I can tell you that is your body fighting to adapt to its new normality. If you’re already fat and you’re progressively losing weight you’re going to look like shit until your body proportionates. You may look worse months into diet/training in order to eventually look better. One can only put so much muscle on whilst losing so much fat/weight. Fat skinny bodies lol. Anyway your body after 5-7 months becomes proportionate with consistent exercise and nutritional adequate calories intake. I felt terrible when I lost all my fat but within a few weeks of focused training for muscle mass I felt the best I had in 7 years. After a month or so of commitment it only gets easier Cookie. Big ups

  • Look at Roux showing out! another yummy video of inspiration just in time before i head to the grocery store. i may try cutting up my food a bit smaller too because Lord knows i love a big portion of food so that may help me trick myself

  • Hello Dr. Becky…it is me Dr. Zana Nutritionist and chiropractor…..Theoretically for every pound of fat you need to burn 3500 Kcal….so suppose that your husband did not eat at all in 5 days and he can only burn 5 X 2800 = 14000 Kcals, so on this equation maximum loss of weight on full fasting can result 1 pound per day while your Husband lost almost 2 pounds….Also for myself I’m on Keto and IF….I lost in December 6 Kgs = 13 pounds while I was taking at least 1200-1300 Kcals a day…so my conclusion is that this equation of 3500 Kcals for a pound of fat is not physically applicable….there are certain other factors influence, rate of metabolism, heat energy production specially if you are in a cold environment and body metabolic Genetics difference…..so myself I advice all my cases that they can loose at least 1 pound per day IF they stick to strict Keto and IF…
I watched and I follow your videos
    Thanks…

  • I’ve been doing this for awhile I always eat 1000-1500 and I always feel fine no changes I feel healthy energetic and great however if u feel sick or bad u should eat 2000

  • If you eat one meal a day(dinner), and nothing but water between meals (a coffee is ok too). Basically one 500 calorie meal a day that consists of healthy zero carb foods and no processed crap. You’ll drop weight fast. I lost 60 lbs in 2 months doing this. Not sure how ‘safe’ it is but it allowed me to come off of bp meds, so can’t be that bad.

  • I’m on LCHF diet at the moment and also inttimitent fasting. I’m diabetic and want to try the 500 calorie. What do you think. Should I eat high fat on 500 calorie diet?? Thanks

  • I’m just going to leave this right here you will not lose weight if you have stress in your life or your adrenals are pumping out cortisol. If you have adrenal fatigue or adrenal failure you’ve got to heal that before you go into extreme dieting, or anything else because it’ll never work and it’ll actually cause you to become diabetic believe it! I think there’s a really good videos by dr. Berg about this. Anyways congrats on the weight loss! I put this comment in the comments for everyone to read because everyone’s looking for answers and some people don’t understand why some people can lose a large amount of weight in a month on 500 calories and others might only lose a couple pounds that’s why. We’re all metabolically imprinted and affected differently.

  • The irony with dieting, is that your body then starts to conserve its reserves. That makes it harder to burn off fat. Is it true that your brain uses 20% of your energy intake? I’d suggest increasing your exercise, instead. What u are doing is tough! Do u drink fizzy drinks? If so, why not just give those up? Or give up alcohol. That really piles on the weight.

  • I absolutely love your thought process on your weight loss journey. The most important part is making LIFESTYLE changes that you will be able to maintain. You are doing it the best way for long term success! Just found your channel, love your spirit, attitude, and content: )

  • I eat around 500 calories a day. Ive havent ate normally for a long time. Im not doing this for myself. Im doing this for others, their opinions about me and my body.. the only reason i eat 500 is because of my family. If not them id eadily starve myself..

  • Guys Idk what to do, I’ve been doing Omad while eating 1500 calories a day and I haven’t lost any weight, I’ve been doing it for 2 weeks.

  • I love how you’re looking at this whole process. It’s all about learning how to live a healthier lifestyle. You look great:) congrats!

  • Great little video, much appreciated. I’d like to ask, what do you expect is your lean mass and over all height? I’m looking to drop about 9 stone, as I’m a pretty hefty guy.

  • I’ve been doing 1000 cal for a day followed with intermittent fasting for 11 days now, my waist shrink from 33 inch to 32 inch, i lose about 3kg while eating anything i want and no exercise… I know I should but I’m just have no feeling to do consistently

  • I’m already ‘skinny’, but I have body dysmorphia, I just see FAT every time I look in the mirror.

    (I’m almost 16, a girl, 5’10 and 139 pounds)

  • Mangosteens are my absolute favourite fruit! You don’t need to remove the top first. just hold it upside down and then press/pull apart simultaneously.

  • You look gorgeous already Samantha:) Thanks for the great tips and recommendations for losing weight!
I wanna give back a recommendation for some cool music: Benedict Ammann The Rules
I hope you like chill out music too because for me personally there’s nothing better in the world:)

  • This was filmed before I started the intermittent fasting/skipping breakfast I have a few more of these coming and then you’ll see my more recent! I filmed so many and didn’t want to bombard you with food uploads:)

  • I’ve tried the OMAD diet but now I’m on to this one
    Breakfast: skip or 2 eggs
    Lunch: none
Dinner: Normal dinner usually around 200-400 calories

  • To lose fat through a 1,000 calories a day diet, you must work your muscles (chest, abs etc). If not, there is a real danger of your body attacking the muscles and not the fat due to the calorie deficiency. If you work the muscles, it tells your body not to attack them because they are in use and you need them. It doesn’t really matter what you eat, just make sure you have less calories than you burn, 1,000 a day is enough. You also need to eat enough protein

  • I have attempted multiple diets over the years. I’ve done the 1,000 cals a day ( I was way more intolerant than even my monthly days). I’ve did a 5 day water only fast, ( unsupervised! I would only drink water all day and pretty much slept all day, worst decision ever 5 years ago and haven’t done it since.) I’m currently taking contrave and am on a under 1,800 calorie a day diet. I do my best not to go over. I couldn’t imagine torturing myself anymore. I think you did well however. But, I agree please don’t do this.

  • i’m already doing it & fine, it forces your body to eat the fat ( dangerous if a trim thin person was to do it), fat kills
ps I am doing one day per week eating normal amount of cals about 2500 but all fairy healthy

  • You need to make healthy food choices! Yeah this calorie deficit isn’t for you, your body was probably detoxing all that rubbish you’d been eating before, I did my first 1100-1200, it was fine! It works for many people

  • She says skipping breakfast helps but you should eat breakfast as it gets your matablisim started and helps you lose weight and also stops you feeling hungry and snaking before lunch

  • Hey brother just want to say that you felt that way because your body needs to adjust to your new diet. Do a month eating 1650 calories a day and keep in mind if you go for a run and burn 200 calories thats 200 extra calories you can eat!! I love your personality and content keep it up

  • It’s all common sense. I am finishing up a six week plan. I started at 1000 calories a day. Each week I shaved off 100 calories. I’m in the sixth week now, and am down to 500 calories a day. It is definitely not easy. I did HIIT sprints and lifted weights both averaging 4 workouts per week. I actually increased strength in bench, dead lifts and squats. Not by much, but I was amazed I could increase strength. I have lost a LOT of body fat. I will eventually work back up to 1800 calories a day, but will increase my workout loads. Again, not easy, but well worth it.

  • Wow! Amazing video! It inspired me to make a vlog style video on my 1,500 calorie meal plan as well, which I just posted! Thank you for the Inspo!

  • I think it’s pretty irresponsible to post this honestly. It’s pretty unhealthy to eat that amount a day and for some people trying this it may trigger an eating disorder. Obviously some people are more susceptible to developing an eating disorders than others, nonetheless eating disorders have the highest fatality rate of any other physiatrist illness. I am sure there are lot ofyoung impressionable people that watch this channel

  • Where did you come up with spacing your calories how you do? smaller meals during day and then largest meal at night. Seems how most people eat or was that scientific to eat largest meal at night?

  • I have been literally eating 1200 calories for 4-5months
I am now down 3 stone but i am a boxer so i have been doing losds of excercise

  • 1000-1200 to me is super sustainable, it’s all about eating low calorie high volume foods. Obviously if you’re gonna spend 300 of your calories on nuts you’re gonna feel hungry. There are so many low calorie options that are filling out there.

  • I am 5ft 1 and 147lbs. The problem is I have a history of severe anorexia. The problem is that the bulimia that came next made me gain 40lbs from my healthy normal eating weight. I tried 1200 but it causes me to binge. Will eating 1500 calories be helpful for me? I want to weigh 115lbs because that’s when I look very thin. Is this going to work for me

  • 17lbs of what??? I guarantee it was not fat! You were not burning over 14Kcals a day. At most you maybe lost 2lbs of fat ( which would be pretty impressive) the rest is all water and potentially some muscle mas

  • You didn’t eat enough protein. You have to eat as much protein as possible. Hight protein low carbs. But carbs isn’t that important. But as much protein as possible.

  • Day 5 of the 5 day 500 Cal diet I feel so much better, lighter. I ate once in the day mostly in the evening. I totally watched and calculated the calories. I had to include fruits since mine would go bad if I didnt eat them. I weigh myself today so I dont know what the reduction is exactly but I know that my clothes are lose and my pants need a belt now. So I think there is weight loss. It was challenging. I was hungry, but I am very proud I accomplished without giving up. I am proud that I could resist eating outside of the one time in the evening inspite of hunger, that I could go without wine (I sometimes have a glass of red wine with dinner). Once again thank you your videos provided me the motivation. I will return to eating around a 1000 cals a day again at 23:1 IF one evening meal. Keeping away from alcohol completely.

  • Hi Cookie

I want to propose Combination of your last 2 challenges. For your Training complete 100 pushups 100 sit-ups and 150 Squats + 100min of walking for cardio. Compete this for 4 weeks.

    For Diet consume 3000 calories week 1 2500 calories week 2 2000 calories week3 and 1500 calories week 4.

This is a healthy and effective way to go about it.

You should gain muscle in week 1 and drop heaps of body fat over the next few weeks. I you decide to take on the challenge.

I’ll complete it with you and talk you through it to help keep you on track.

Let me know if you’re keen

    Let’s do this

  • What if you did 500 cal less than keeping weight for a month while doing 50 sit ups, push-ups and squats a day along with a 2 or 3 mile run every day for a month?

  • Da fuk. I been doing 800 calories a day and walking for hours. Taking gw-501516 carderine and s4 anderine mad cups coffee. And yeah been 10 days and I think I if lucky lost 5 pounds I am 5-6 inch 175 pounds 50 year old next month

  • Just cut 500 calories below maintenance plus your exercise calories and you’re good to go. No struggling, you maintain your muscle and feel energetic. I chow low sugar, low fat, high protein protein bars as a snack every day. That’ll satiate your chocolate craving.

  • Only problem about eating this low in calories if you do it for too long your metabolism will eventually slow down, should try to do this every other week so your metabolism doesn’t suffer or you will just become frustrated with it after a while

  • I’ve been on a 1200 calories diet for about 2 weeks now, it’s fine for me. My maintain weight calories is 2000 calories so it’s like a 800 deficit. For your weight, 1200 calories might be too little.

  • Diet Coke is 0 kcals so would give you the caffeine boost you need. I’m on 1270 kcals the past three months and it works for me way too low for a man I think..fibre one bars choc brownie are devine also and only 87kcals there’s ways around things you just need the knowledge

  • Hey Becky, what should I exactly eat? for Breakfast Lunch and dinner? And if I add some exercise will I lose more weight? If so how much?

  • just looking at this now but did you net workout against food consumed like if you burned 500 calories running could you eat 1500?

  • She says skipping breakfast helps but you should eat breakfast as it gets your matablisim started and helps you lose weight and also stops you feeling hungry and snaking before lunch

  • You need to make healthy food choices! Yeah this calorie deficit isn’t for you, your body was probably detoxing all that rubbish you’d been eating before, I did my first 1100-1200, it was fine! It works for many people

  • I feel u on that damn sugar shit I have a mad sweet tooth but having a piece of fruit with my meals solves it for me or at the end of the night I have some non fat Greek yogurt with blueberries or shit sometimes I have one of those low calorie halo top ice creams shit

  • I did a journey from 115 kg. I have a vid on my channel. But I changed with a slow and steady progress. Just a slight maintainance deficit, and much protein in combine with weightlifting and 365 days! I could never do what you did however, haha. You madman!

  • Whoa that’s really expensive for mangosteen, they’re really cheap here in Malaysia. (3kg/6.7lbs of mangosteen costs about 3CAD). Anyways, love your What I Eat in a Day videos. Can’t wait for the next one

  • Well done for completing it, I think you’d need more calories to make that sustainable, you want to allow yourself some chocolate etc otherwise what is the point in life

  • I really enjoy your weight loss videos. They’re realistic and I feel like it’s something that I can actually do and maintain. I love that about your channel!
Hope you’re doing well! You look beautiful as always

  • This is crap. I’ve been on 150 ish calories a day for the past 3 days and lost 4 lbs. Maybe I need to work-out more.

I have a cup of green tea in the morning (4 calories)
    Nothing for lunch
A can of tuna in spring water for supper (155 calories)

This is the diet Christian Bale had for his performance in ‘The Machinist’ though he cheated and had the occasional apple 😉

If you’re really starving and think you can’t continue have a glass of water lol

  • During one part of this video, a bit of web with a dead insect was hanging off Cookie’s arm.
This idea probably wouldn’t be a big issue if you did it one week a month to counter binge-eating for holidays and whatnot. You could also do it a day a week as well. Either way, you’ll reduce your food bill. But yeah, not sustainable long-term because “only eat x calories per day” says nothing about how you deal with cravings and energy levels. You should be able to enjoy your food. If there is that feeling that you are losing out, then it makes the experience more of a chore.
As for specifics, some people have used carrots as a sweetener for cooked food. There are obviously other low-carb alternatives beyond this but it is a matter of preference. What do you enjoy eating? Lots of meat? Lots of buttered or fatty food? Sugar addiction? What foods are available in your area? Are you willing to start a garden to grow food that isn’t cheap or is unavailable? How do your energy levels change throughout the day? There are a lot of variables to take into account when you decide what to put in your stomach.
If you can find that sweet spot that allows you to feel full without feeling bloated, you are doing well. An example is pearl barley. It swells when cooked and does an awesome job of thickening soups. The nutritional information is quite good with one website citing 354 calories per 100g of uncooked, hulled pearl barley. Add in some meat, garlic, onion and some other veggies along with some salt and pepper and you have a good meal that doesn’t make you feel like a rabbit. Some spices give a sweet aroma and taste without the calories, such as Allspice which I have started (oddly enough) adding to soups and stews. Some folks also reduce their sugar intake by having unsweetened herbal teas instead of soda. Pick one that you enjoy and it can be a pleasant alternative to soda. Sometimes it will take some experimentation, but I’ve found some really enjoyable alternatives during my dabbling. I just need to follow through with the exercise side.

  • You were doing sugar withdrawl as well as 1200 calories a day so in effect two challenges. If you did 1800 a day it would be sustainable. IMHO you look better at the lower weight. Enjoyed the video as always.

  • Everyone suggesting to lose 1-2 pounds a week is so annoying. I lost 3-5 pounds a week when I lost 90 pounds with no negative health effects whatsoever

  • Cookie…. Maybe you could do a series on the dangers of these kind of fad diets…. my daughter dropped from 2000 cal a day to a 1000 on one of these diets… She constantly exercised at the same time she started at a size 12 she got more and more obsessed and within a month was eating ate 380 cal a day 2 weeks later she ate nothing was hospitalised NG tube fed…. Her lowest weight was 6.2stone Its taken 2 years in a hospital unit and she’s home now but still on a long road to recovery… She has lasting damage had re feeding syndrome along with a lot of other issue…… Please just love your self for who you are… If any people read this that’s my honest message to you. i cold sit here typing the dangers all day and the things it’s caused for my girl it’s heart breaking to watch and scary.

  • I start today. Im 19st bang on. Ill be cutting DOWN on the sugar but not cutting it out. But ill also be exercising like a Marine. I think the hardest bit wil be finding the right balance but you have shown how Not to do it.. not such a bad thing to do to show other people tbf. I think sugar addiction is a real thing and needs addressing

  • I did a journey from 115 kg. I have a vid on my channel. But I changed with a slow and steady progress. Just a slight maintainance deficit, and much protein in combine with weightlifting and 365 days! I could never do what you did however, haha. You madman!

  • Oh my god guys!! Are you seriously saying that If you eat 500 cl for 5 days is hard to SURVIVE? I can see people being alive having 300cl for like 20 days. And they are loosin 20 pounds with a little damage…

  • I think the way you are doing your food regimen is way better than fasting and losing the weight and then gaining it all back. Cause you will gain it all back. Portion size works for me

  • You didn’t eat enough protein. You have to eat as much protein as possible. Hight protein low carbs. But carbs isn’t that important. But as much protein as possible.

  • Yum! The inside of the mangosteen looks similar to one of my favorite Jamaican fruitsSweetsop. I hope they’re in season when I go next month.

  • I like your video, I do agree that it is not a problem if you consult a doctor for weight loss. 1200 calories a day for an obese person is often recommend with the exception that it is monitored. I do 1200 calories a day but it is well planned with nutritional meals healthy carbs, low saturated fats and portioned control proteins. Most of my meals have lots of low carb veggies.

  • @Cookie6 This video scares me! your body was hitting issues from the not having enough nutrients….. These diets are so dangerous!…… For a healthy diet There’s birthday cake ice cream that’s less than 400cal for the whole tub…… We get it for my daughter who is recovering from anorexia

  • Great little video, much appreciated. I’d like to ask, what do you expect is your lean mass and over all height? I’m looking to drop about 9 stone, as I’m a pretty hefty guy.

  • Everybody BODY responds differently… So do what’s best for yours I don’t care what science try to tell you based off research IF your body wasn’t participating in the research then you don’t know how it will do with lower calories on a day to day regimen. Some will lose faster others slower it’s all up to your BODY. Ask your body by trying it and trust me it’ll respond to a yes or a no diets are like religion every doctrine is not for everyBody

  • I really liked your realistic video. Yes, you should consume more vegetables for sure:) but congrats on your 5lb. weight loss! Please give an update as to whether you kept to this basic plan and if you’ve lost any more weight!

  • I’m on 1000 calories a day but under medical supervision, I have to see my doctor weekly. There’s a possibility of developing kidney stones. You have to get labs done.

  • You already look great and slimmer!!! Love this video, it gives inspiration to people that have trouble with weight lost! ❤️ thanks

  • Really impressed you’re able to eat out on 1500 calories. Those meals looked bomb though! Great video. My last video was a full day of eating video too!

  • Hi Cookie

  • Wow! Amazing video! It inspired me to make a vlog style video on my 1,500 calorie meal plan as well, which I just posted! Thank you for the Inspo!

  • Was just wondering if you kept some of the weights off once you went back to a normal caloric intake. Were there any negative affects post experiment?

  • I start today. Im 19st bang on. Ill be cutting DOWN on the sugar but not cutting it out. But ill also be exercising like a Marine. I think the hardest bit wil be finding the right balance but you have shown how Not to do it.. not such a bad thing to do to show other people tbf. • Thank you for this. I think the US is detrimentally over estimating how much food we need when we are inactive. I tried macro calculators and it always told me about 1500 a day is what I NEEDED even though I am inactive. I became so depressed counting calories and STILL gaining weight after baby. Finally, I heard of fasting and intermittent fasting. I eat about 600 calories in a short soan of about 3 hours a day during the week and relax/enjoy eating out on Saturdays. I have consistently lost 1-2 lbs per week as you say and that us not fast weight loss. It is very steady and reasonable. Im down 25 lbs and am still considered overweight. I could probably eat less for faster results, but I really think I have finally found my perfect deficit balance. I am pretty sure that when I reach my goal and need to maintain, it will still only be about 1200 calories max if I dont want to GAIN

  • Oh my god guys!! Are you seriously saying that If you eat 500 cl for 5 days is hard to SURVIVE? I can see people being alive having 300cl for like 20 days. And they are loosin 20 pounds with a little damage…

  • Note Although we appreciate your comments. We don’t recommend such a drastically low calorie intake. This was a research challenge that we conducted that concluded in it being unrealistic and potentially dangerous over a long term. Please don’t attempt this diet, we did it so you don’t have to for educational purposes.

  • i’m already doing it & fine, it forces your body to eat the fat ( dangerous if a trim thin person was to do it), fat kills
ps I am doing one day per week eating normal amount of cals about 2500 but all fairy healthy

  • People are gonna watch this uneducated and do it themselves. Should not be promoting this Idc if you made a statement telling people not to, showing drastic weight loss is obviously going to make people disregard your little warning, from someone recovered from an eating disorder, this is hugely inappropriate ‍♀️

  • This is crap. I’ve been on 150 ish calories a day for the past 3 days and lost 4 lbs. Maybe I need to work-out more.

  • If you do feel like doing a challenge again…. Try 1000 cals but only have water and coffee in the day and eat your 1000 cals in one meal at night. You’ll feel so much better than when you spread the cals throughout the day. Well done.

  • I usually eat 1,500 calories a day so I decided to do this for a while

do not continue this if you start feeling very sick, just eat mainly healthy and remove fat foods

  • Because men are recommended more calories than women, would this diet would be more effective for men and less effective for women?

  • Alright so for everyone wondering here’s what I did and in 3 months I Lost 50 Pounds roughly (49.6) and since I am 16 I guess that’s why, but I didn’t really do anything but skate and go to school. So I ate about 1,200–1,400 calories a day on Omad, one of my main meals were 1 1/2 salmon(baked), 1 cup of spinach and carrots and 1 cup of rice and seasoning. I went from 315 Pounds to 265.4 and still going. But what I did notice is that if you stick up more on ur veggies especially the low cals, it gets you full and lasts the day and if you need a fruit I sometimes got an apple or banana. But you can lose weight and this is still going because i still lose around.5 to a pound a day, also one of the key points that I keep to this was I drank at least 6-7 bottles of water a day to keep you full. Also I do believe if you eat healthier rather than eating that certain amount of calories, you will lose more since your body is getting the needed nutrients rather than carbs. But Today I am breaking that Omad fast and going to do a water fast for a week to really help cleanse my system. If you need any more questions comment!

  • Whoa that’s really expensive for mangosteen, they’re really cheap here in Malaysia. (3kg/6.7lbs of mangosteen costs about 3CAD). Anyways, love your What I Eat in a Day videos. Can’t wait for the next one

  • Only problem about eating this low in calories if you do it for too long your metabolism will eventually slow down, should try to do this every other week so your metabolism doesn’t suffer or you will just become frustrated with it after a while

  • I have been doing this for a while and I have collapsed multiple times with my friends, family, and just while walking my dog. While I did loose weight fast its not healthy. My friends were on constant worry.

  • Great video! Considering how unhealthy your diet was prior to the challenge, I think you would’ve felt bad even if you did 1500-2000 calories a day. If you’re accustom to a diet high in sugar, your body was going to have symptoms of withdrawal. This happens to people when they drink coffee a lot and go cold turkey.

  • Have you tried shirataki noodles yet? I have no had a chance to watch all your videos yet. They are super low cal about 0-15 calories for a pack and can be found at freshco next to the tofu. Amazing in stir fry or even with fettuccini! They are filling too!

  • I’ve been eating around 1000-1100 calories a day for a week now, and I went from 51.2 kg to 49.6 kg. I use an app called MyFitnessPal to track my calories, and also to estimate when I’ll reach my goal weight if I consistently eat within the limits. So far, I’ve been sustaining it and it feels renewing for me honestly. I don’t know if it’s for everyone, because I have only been doing this for a week. My hunger levels are lower, and I don’t get cravings as much. I also noticed how I’ve been eating until satiety, which has been very difficult for me in the past. I think between 1000-1200 calories is enough for me, because I am 5’2, and only walk for exercise. I’m going to continue doing this for a month, to be down to 47-48 kg. Super curious, and maybe I’ll do an update if I’m successful!

  • It’s more torturous to restrict yourself to 500 calories than to just drink water for 5 days. Why the antics? Just get straight to it and fast.

  • Personally, I would eat one meal and eat small snacks throughout the day(mostly fruits), I never felt like I was starving and since I worked at night, I never really ate dinner.

Alright so the first day a lost about 1.2 pounds (I’m assuming mostly water weight) and the following days I would only lose about 0.5 pounds a day.

I didn’t lose as much as other people did attempting this and one thing that I found was that I couldn’t really exercise as I only had energy to work, which could be a bad or good thing. I didn’t notice anything else..

    Thanks…

  • im severely obese and im on my 2nd week on this diet. i think 1200 cal diet is easier when u do it with intermittent fasting. skip breakfast eat 600cal on lunch at 12noon and then eat 600cal on dinner at 6pm. U may eat small snacks in the afternoon but remember you will have to cut down and manage ur dinner if u do so

  • Like loads of other people have said, DO NOT try this kind of diet. Unless you are under doctor supervision, and have been prescribed this diet from a doctor and/or a nutritionist, do not do this. This kind of thing can become so addicting and can ravage your health if you fall into this kind of eating.

  • 3.5k cal to a pound of fat
    2kcal bmr/day= 1k deficit = 3lbs for the week.
You didn’t lose a pound of fat a day unless your running a marathon every day

  • My diet
Breakfast: Oatmeal with PB2 & half a banana with cinnamon

Lunch: Bannana, cup of lettuce and 5 cherry tomatoes

Dinner: Baked sweet potato with broccoli / seaweed chips

  • im severely obese and im on my 2nd week on this diet. i think 1200 cal diet is easier when u do it with intermittent fasting. skip breakfast eat 600cal on lunch at 12noon and then eat 600cal on dinner at 6pm. • There is a something called Healthy Cal and unhealthy Cal. You can loose fat if you eat healthy Cal and you loose weight and become weak if you eat unhealthy Cal.

  • Sure you lost wieght but thats because your body was eating muscle. Its not about wieght loss its about being healthy. This low of calories you are putting your body in starvation mode and storing fat while eating the muscle. Muscle wieghs more so easier to lose wieght

  • I’m 10 stone 3 but I want to cut down to 9 stone 3 till I see abs then up my callories little by little to keep abs after I’m trying the 1500 callories

  • I made a big mistake when I first stared losing weight I am a 16 year old boy and I was only eating 800-900kcal a day I honestly don’t know how I didn’t get extremely sick note I did drink AT LEAST 2 LITRES OF WATER A DAY I did that for 6 days a week and on my chest day would it 2,000 I weighed everything I ate to work out how much kcal was in it I did lose a lot of weight but I got very very bad headaches after a few weeks at least 4 a day now I struggle to eat more please be careful my maintenance kcal intake is 2,500 and after my extreme dieting it’s honestly hard for me to eat 2,000 with a lot of effort I can reach that now I eat about 1,400-1,600ish a day when I first started I weighed 79kg now I weigh 68ish so I did lose a lot that took me about 9ish weeks

  • I was so disappointed to see him eat that brownie. I don’t know how calories work in the Uk but I’m pretty sure he’s eating more than 1200 calories, at least according the us numbers.

  • What a coincidence, I actually made pinto beans yesterday. I find that they take so long to cook that they’re kind of a pain, at least until I bought my instant pot when Amazon was having its prime day. They marked it down by 50% so I got it for $50. It’s like a pressure cooker and slow cooker all rolled into one. It makes cooking beans so easy! I was super boring, I just added salt and pepper LOL. But then I used a masher and kind of mashed it up so that the insides came out and made the whole thing starchy but it was still chunky.

  • no need to apologize, cats are animals with personality and they need their privacy too, thats what makes them so lovable:) aaah he is so cute there being cosy with you

  • I eat 1000 calories per day and workout all day. I stopped running for a week to rest because of my injuries but I went from 145 to 139 in a month and a half. I will continue to eat 1000 calories a day for probably like a year or until I get down to 125 (I’m 5’6) but I honestly feel so much better then when I was in school and completly stressed and ate too many calories

  • If u feel hungry on a 1200 diet and ur already at 1200 cals just eat veggies or fruits after and u will be fine these foods wont make a difference with ur weight loss and instead will make it easter since they can be filling with low cals❤️

  • I really enjoy your weight loss videos. They’re realistic and I feel like it’s something that I can actually do and maintain. I love that about your channel!
Hope you’re doing well! You look beautiful as always

  • good video bro..i just start eating close to 2000 cal to cut some body fat… but i can understand feeling like that eating only a 1000 especially working out and moving around.. i would probably last 3 days and iam out!!!

  • If u feel hungry on a 1200 diet and ur already at 1200 cals just eat veggies or fruits after and u will be fine these foods wont make a difference with ur weight loss and instead will make it easter since they can be filling with low cals❤️

  • 17lbs of what??? I guarantee it was not fat! You were not burning over 14Kcals a day. At most you maybe lost 2lbs of fat ( which would be pretty impressive) the rest is all water and potentially some muscle mas

  • Trying this 500 calorie diet I plan to do this for 2 months or so. Day 1: Hungry, but manageable. I ate one apple, two eggs, 40 grapes, and some water melon.

  • Its still amaze me just how lots of people don’t know about Custokebon Secrets although lots of people using it. Thanks to my personal friend who told me about it. I’ve lost a lot of weight.

  • Weight loss concepts are like religious views. Folks are stuck in their beliefs. Even if you prove it to them. If a guy drops 50 lbs in a month its not water weight. That’s simply moronic.

  • You look gorgeous already Samantha:) Thanks for the great tips and recommendations for losing weight!
I wanna give back a recommendation for some cool music: Benedict Ammann The Rules
I hope you like chill out music too because for me personally there’s nothing better in the world:)

  • My diet
Breakfast: Oatmeal with PB2 & half a banana with cinnamon

Lunch: Bannana, cup of lettuce and 5 cherry tomatoes

Dinner: Baked sweet potato with broccoli / seaweed chips

  • You’re videos are great man, but if you want to drop the pounds in a mad way, you need to keep you’reself to 30g of carbs per day. Stop eating bread and sugar all together. Even stop drinking coke zero etc. Even though they have no calories or actual sugar, aspartame (sweetener) raises you’re insulin.. That prevents you’re body from using youre fat stores for energy. ALTHOUGH THEY ARE FAR BETTER THAN FULL SUGAR OPTIONS…. They still make youre body use glycogen rather than fat. Those moments where you feel low, eat something Fatty. Bacon, eggs.. Even double cream and strawberries, salted peanuts etc. The brain fog you’re experiencing is Ketosis. I know it’s hard man, I’m on the journey myself right now… You can do it bro. You’re body will primarily burn what you put in. So if you eat shit loads of fat, you’re body will become fat adapted and use fat as you’re main energy source, thus burning you’re excess fat. You can do it bro

  • I’m 10 stone 3 but I want to cut down to 9 stone 3 till I see abs then up my callories little by little to keep abs after I’m trying the 1500 callories

  • DON’T ATTEMPT THIS You’ll see from other comments, this isn’t healthy and I hope the video gets that across too. Big love to everyone who has struggled with stuff like this x

  • Hey brother just want to say that you felt that way because your body needs to adjust to your new diet. Do a month eating 1650 calories a day and keep in mind if you go for a run and burn 200 calories thats 200 extra calories you can eat!! I love your personality and content keep it up

  • I think a protein powder shake would of helped a lot since the really fill you up some of them taste really nice and there’s not too much calories in it. Still though love your vids and I’m surprised your channel hasn’t blown up yet your contents really good.

  • I’ve been eating 1000 calories per day or less for the past week and it’s not hard! Also been doing cardio so I lose weight even faster.

  • If u ever have any kind of sugar crave, get some peach or cinnamon flavored premier protein shakes. Literally a life hack only 160 calories. Tough to pick up instead of chocolate but once u take a sip you’ve made it.

  • I was so disappointed to see him eat that brownie. I don’t know how calories work in the Uk but I’m pretty sure he’s eating more than 1200 calories, at least according the us numbers.

  • I have been literally eating 1200 calories for 4-5months
I am now down 3 stone but i am a boxer so i have been doing losds of excercise

  • I have attempted multiple diets over the years. I’ve done the 1,000 cals a day ( I was way more intolerant than even my monthly days). I’ve did a 5 day water only fast, ( unsupervised! I would only drink water all day and pretty much slept all day, worst decision ever 5 years ago and haven’t done it since.) I’m currently taking contrave and am on a under 1,800 calorie a day diet. I do my best not to go over. I couldn’t imagine torturing myself anymore. I think you did well however. But, I agree please don’t do this.

  • I’ve been on a 1200 calories diet for about 2 weeks now, it’s fine for me. My maintain weight calories is 2000 calories so it’s like a 800 deficit. For your weight, 1200 calories might be too little.

  • Hey man love your content!! Could you possibly do a month long diet video, but keeping calories a lot more sustainable (around 2300 cals Id assume)

  • Another quality video. And great advice. I think if anyone’s thinking of attempting this. I’d suggest staggered lowering rather than going all in straight away. DON’T BE A CRAIG……. keep the content coming mate

  • It’s actually pretty hard for me to follow these kind of plans because in my family we usually eat Ethiopian foods so if i try to count calories i have to start from the ingredients but this is what i ate (miser is a Ethiopian food)
    Breakfast:
Green tea with 1 vanilla French creamer
    1 boiled egg
    Lunch:
    1/4 a cup of miser
Half of a pita bread slice
    Dinner:
    1/2 a cup of beans
I am starting it today wish me luck!

  • Hey Becky, what should I exactly eat? for Breakfast Lunch and dinner? And if I add some exercise will I lose more weight? If so how much?

  • What if you did 500 cal less than keeping weight for a month while doing 50 sit ups, push-ups and squats a day along with a 2 or 3 mile run every day for a month?

  • so i did this. I weighed 95kg 5ft 9 at the startI didn’t experience any of the things this guy did except hunger on the first 2/3 days. I had a lot of protein to keep me satiated. I think his symptoms are coming from sugar withdrawal as opposed to calories or a lack thereof. I’ve spent the past 3 months maintaining my 18kg loss (in 2 months) and have since restarted the diet to lose the last bit. feel better than ever:)

  • i can confirm him losing 4kg in a week is legit. I also did a similar diet, 1300 calories per day for a week and i did lose 2.7kg.

  • My breakfast
    1 whole wheat bread
    1 egg
    1/2 chicken breast without oil
    Plus slimming pills
    And then for dinner
    1/8 mango
    1 cup watermelon
    And slimming pills

Also I worked out a lot. I spend my time 3 hours on gym.

  • I’m doing a 1100 cal diet a day (log and weigh everything meticulously) as a 5’8 290lb male, eat 40% protein, exercise every day and my weight and waist circumference are not going down. Normally I should be losing weight very quickly as I’m in like a 1700 calorie deficit every single day. Do I have a medical condition?

  • H i am 38yr old. 5’9 ht…and 190-200..i eat 700calr. 500cal daily been doing it for 1yr now but I also take multivitamins daily and eat cereal with vitamins in them In work out 5times a week do you think i can keep this up with out healthy problems.

  • Like loads of other people have said, DO NOT try this kind of diet. Unless you are under doctor supervision, and have been prescribed this diet from a doctor and/or a nutritionist, do not do this. This kind of thing can become so addicting and can ravage your health if you fall into this kind of eating.

  • I feel u on that damn sugar shit I have a mad sweet tooth but having a piece of fruit with my meals solves it for me or at the end of the night I have some non fat Greek yogurt with blueberries or shit sometimes I have one of those low calorie halo top ice creams shit

  • Lovin’ your video, i’m personally not obese but im on a diet and a regularly exercise, what i’d recommend is a less dramatic diet, it will be a slower progress but a more sustainable diet, slowly switching to healthier food will allow you to eat more cause lot of health food is low calorie, when finding food search the no sugar option and you wont feel a hard change, i wish you lot of self power and a lot of health, keep up the good work

  • I’m eating under 1000 calories a day. I am for 500-600 calories a day! I’m still pretty young so I can’t starve myself skksks. I do excercise, Running up and down the stairs for 10-30 minutes! Wish me luck (:

  • It’s more torturous to restrict yourself to 500 calories than to just drink water for 5 days. Why the antics? Just get straight to it and fast.

  • Healthy carbs fat and lean protein allow you to eat over 5000 calories and still lose weight. Eat the same 5000 calories in bad carbs you gain 15lb. Calories in calories out is a dumb myth

  • A question for you! Do you worry about protein intake? These days, at least here in US, it is encouraged to focus on having somewhere between 10-20 g of protein per meal. What do you think?

  • You were doing sugar withdrawl as well as 1200 calories a day so in effect two challenges. If you did 1800 a day it would be sustainable. IMHO you look better at the lower weight. Enjoyed the video as always.

  • Well done for completing it, I think you’d need more calories to make that sustainable, you want to allow yourself some chocolate etc otherwise what is the point in life

  • Another quality video. And great advice. I think if anyone’s thinking of attempting this. I’d suggest staggered lowering rather than going all in straight away. DON’T BE A CRAIG……. keep the content coming mate

  • I tried giving up fizzy drinks once, got half way through the 2nd day and just had hell of a head ache, couldn’t concentrate, it was awful

  • Today is my first day on 1k cal/ day. Wish me luck. I skipped breakfast I ate 4 eggs fry in bacon fat. I had 2 slides of bacon 1 cup of spinach. 2 chicken thighs 2 cup broccoli 1 medium apple and 2 tsp of peanut butter.

  • I have just started doing keto and I eat around 1000 calories a day hopefully I will lose 15 lb of fat I’m currently 196 lb tryna get 180lb

  • Sure you lost wieght but thats because your body was eating muscle. Its not about wieght loss its about being healthy. This low of calories you are putting your body in starvation mode and storing fat while eating the muscle. Muscle wieghs more so easier to lose wieght

  • Sam, you’re looking absolutely gorgeous already! I’m in a low carb lifestyle, too, plus yoga. So my hubby warned me that if I lose my “butty” is the end of us! , Hope you enjoy your weekend! Besos ❤️❤️

  • Diet Coke is 0 kcals so would give you the caffeine boost you need. I’m on 1270 kcals the past three months and it works for me way too low for a man I think..fibre one bars choc brownie are devine also and only 87kcals there’s ways around things you just need the knowledge

  • I was going to start my 500 calorie a day diet tomorrow and doing it all wrong. I like your method. SO glad I found you and this video because now I’m going to start after my next grocery run when I get all the ingredients on your downloadable diet plan. Thank you!!

  • Drinking diet soda was helpful, it boost metabolism. The sweeteners in diet products trick the brain and raises your metabolic rate by 300%. No calories, no weight gain.

  • This was filmed before I started the intermittent fasting/skipping breakfast I have a few more of these coming and then you’ll see my more recent! I filmed so many and didn’t want to bombard you with food uploads:)

  • It’s always a good idea to get your hormones checked, your cortisol levels. Maybe a full CBC panel. Restricted calories diets slow down aging process.

  • I ate 1200 calories for over a year lost 115 lbs, I never felt like I was missing out on anything I recently bumped up my calories since I’m working out more!

  • The amount of ignorance in this comment section is staggering. PLEASE inform yourself before attempting something as foolish as this “diet”.

  • Today I ate 970 calories..but what I ate was completely junk food! Here’s what I ate:

    4 Nutterbutter Cookies (260 cal)
    1 Chicken Empanada (260 cal)
    Peanut Butter Crackers (160 cal)
    Welch’s Fruit Snacks (80 cal)
    1 Devil Dog (180 cal)
    And Tons of water!

I ate all of this throughout the day and not all at one time. I feel pretty full to be honest form only eating junk. But yeah, I should be definitely eating more whole foods with dense amount of protein in them to ensure you’re feeling filled, also fruit helps you stay filled because of the amount of water content in it.

  • This type of cooking won’t with my family Austrian don’t like eating left over. I need to be a flippin ninja to cook exact amount of food each day. And each member has food preferences I’m like a restaurant.

  • There’s mexican pills that I was taking and I lost 17 pounds in 2 weeks shit was insane lmao after losing that weight I’m just maintaining it

  • I think a protein powder shake would of helped a lot since the really fill you up some of them taste really nice and there’s not too much calories in it. Still though love your vids and I’m surprised your channel hasn’t blown up yet your contents really good.

  • What a coincidence, I actually made pinto beans yesterday. • I’m on LCHF diet at the moment and also inttimitent fasting. I’m diabetic and want to try the 500 calorie. What do you think. Should I eat high fat on 500 calorie diet?? Thanks

  • I love these what I eat in a day. I have been looking for ways to loose weight too. It so easy to get stuck in an eating rut. Your videos help me add new ideas to my cooking. Thanks, Samantha!

  • so i did this. I weighed 95kg 5ft 9 at the startI didn’t experience any of the things this guy did except hunger on the first 2/3 days. I had a lot of protein to keep me satiated. • I absolutely love your thought process on your weight loss journey. The most important part is making LIFESTYLE changes that you will be able to maintain. You are doing it the best way for long term success! Just found your channel, love your spirit, attitude, and content: )

  • I’m thinking with all the comments that the amount of calories you need to eat really depends on activity level. If you spend most of the day playing video games or at a desk you’ll probably be okay with 1000 calories. If you’re a busy person running around all day, working out and you play sports then ofc 1000 isn’t enough. If you feel good that’s what matters.

  • I am a women. 166 sm hight, 88 kg. Eating 1000-1200 calories a day and exercise 34 times a week in group fitness. Also one or two times a week going to a pool. In a month time I had lost only 4 kg! So weight loos not only abaut shorten the calories and work out! Many more is in loosing body fat, as hormones or age!

  • I am Offended by roux’s sassy Attitude! Lol she is so cute❤️ Again thank you for sharing a realistic and honest struggle with your weight loss. I can Relate so much. Yes to iceberg lettuce! It’s just a staple in my life!

  • Dude I only eat 1K calories a day and everyone is saying it’s not healthy oh my gosh. I’m trying my hardest to increase it but I can’t I’m full all the time. 18yo

  • possibly the most half-arsed effort at such an “experiment” video with all of the missing video content and the lapses inthe regimen which started on the first day?. are you joking? I wont waste my time on this rubbish again. no sub. no like for you.

  • Guys Idk what to do, I’ve been doing Omad while eating 1500 calories a day and I haven’t lost any weight, I’ve been doing it for 2 weeks.

  • Yum! The inside of the mangosteen looks similar to one of my favorite Jamaican fruitsSweetsop. I hope they’re in season when I go next month.

  • I’m eating under 1000 calories a day. I am for 500-600 calories a day! I’m still pretty young so I can’t starve myself skksks. I do excercise, Running up and down the stairs for 10-30 minutes! Wish me luck (:

  • If u ever have any kind of sugar crave, get some peach or cinnamon flavored premier protein shakes. Literally a life hack only 160 calories. Tough to pick up instead of chocolate but once u take a sip you’ve made it.

  • Been doing this the past 4 days. Eating baked skinless chicken, broccoli, squash, plain oatmeal with a little peanut butter. Im 6’4, started at 257, I’m down to 250. I was drinking a gallon of sweet tea everyday and cut that completely out. Going for about 30 days then will bump up to about 1500 calories per day. Hope to drop about 40 pounds in the next couple months.

  • I think the way you are doing your food regimen is way better than fasting and losing the weight and then gaining it all back. Cause you will gain it all back. Portion size works for me

  • I have been doing this 1200 calorie diet for 3 days now

    My height: 5’5
    Weight: 54kg

  • I really liked your realistic video. Yes, you should consume more vegetables for sure:) but congrats on your 5lb. weight loss! Please give an update as to whether you kept to this basic plan and if you’ve lost any more weight!

  • Look at Roux showing out! another yummy video of inspiration just in time before i head to the grocery store. i may try cutting up my food a bit smaller too because Lord knows i love a big portion of food so that may help me trick myself

Big ups

  • Where did you come up with spacing your calories how you do? smaller meals during day and then largest meal at night. Seems how most people eat or was that scientific to eat largest meal at night?

  • Sam, you’re looking absolutely gorgeous already! I’m in a low carb lifestyle, too, plus yoga. So my hubby warned me that if I lose my “butty” is the end of us! , Hope you enjoy your weekend! Besos ❤️❤️

  • Here’s my story with this diet: (20 year old male 5’10 and 192lbs)

I ate 1000-1200calories a day (mainly 1000) for 7 weeks straight. Total weight loss was 28lbs (id say 4-5lbs of water weight). The key to this is to EAT WHAT YOU WANT! I ate pizzas, kebabs, loads of carb loaded breads etc and it did not matter as long as I met the 1000cal goal for the day. Drink diluted juices instead of water all the time so you don’t get sick of the diet.

The question everyone wants to know the answer to; do you gain all the weight back once you up your calories? Simple answer… nope. I did in fairness gain the weight back due to demanding job and studies but it took me 6 months of binging on 3-4K calories a day (mainly takeaways sadly). So basically you’d have to really overeat constantly to gain the weight and at the rate I was going, I would have gained weight either way. Started the diet back up again and easy as that, lost all the weight again. Don’t currently have a job due to the quarantine so I won’t be putting it back on anytime soon:)

  • Because of this Corona virus,I’ve went from 190 or 193 to 183,I checked today and so I’m counting my calories from now on,my goal weight is 120, it says I can reach my goal weight around November this year since I’m only going to be eating 1,148 calories a day,I don’t see that as a drastically low amount of calories, since I literally binge eat everything,I just hope because of my OCD I don’t become obsessed with losing it after I reach 120,I doubt it but I didn’t accept I binged so much until I could barely recognize myself,I kept wondering why my face was so round, and then realized I sit up all day until like 4 am going to the kitchen like every 4 hours,I’ll look into vitamins and such for this diet,if anyone has any recommendations or advice please be kind I listen to all
