  • I just got my vitamin D test result. My level went from 25 to a solid 90! ng/ml in about 6 months. But I’m still not seeing any growth on my crown yet. I’ll be patient as my hair didn’t thin right away when I stopped getting sunlight. It took well over a year to notice the thinning.

  • Canadians need to eat animal foods high in vitamin D as they get little sun.if you eat naturally, its impossible to be deficient in any vitamins

  • Want to ask one think… did you notice oily scalp because of vitamin D lack…because I too am deficient and I get oily scalp and whenever my scalp is oily I see a lot of hairfall.

  • Hey Abraham love your videos they are really interesting and i especially like how you make viewers happy by responding to their comments

  • I used to take 50,000 IU per week! I was so deficient and my vitamin D3 level was at 11, and the normal level is at least from 30 to 100. Any thing more than a 100 is toxic

  • I’m watching this because I accidentally bought the Immune Plus version of Emergen-C, which has also Vitamin D and Zinc and immediately felt amazing. I drank it to prepare from COVID-19. Gonna make it a habit to get lots of sunlight and take supplements when needed! My anxiety is much less, even during my PMS week.:D And I have more energy. Thank you for being open about your anxiety issues.

  • Curiosity and wanting to improve my hair led me to watch your vid.Glad your hair has improved with vitamin D and less stress and anxiety. Will go get some vit D’s

  • Dr. John says that white skin makes vitamin D much easier from Sunshine than black skin and that’s why black people and people of colour are having worse outcomes from covid-19. He said the best time for us to get vitamin D from the Sun is from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Do not take a shower after you soak up sun because your skin needs time to absorb the vitamin D. This explains why are used to read that sunscreen causes cancer Maybe because sunscreen blocks are absorption of vitamin D it’s not the sunscreen it’s what happens you know what I mean. I’m fair-skinned so 15 to 20 minutes in the sun will get me an ice 20000 IU blast and then I sit around sweaty and don’t shower for a while. At least a few hours. Gross.

  • I always look forward to Monday! It’s so good that even though you’re just responding to comments, you’re still giving so much useful information. Oh, and I agree with the comment regarding your editing. It is so SPOT ON! Love how creative your editing can be!

  • Exactly i used to feel so fatigued as well but i started feeling energised right away but i dont know when my hair will stop falling as it has only been two weeks. It just really hurts my heart when i see hair falling out

  • I am confused because muscle weakness is a symptom of low vit d but then I read that a side effect of vit d may cause muscle weakness. If this is true how do you get around this

  • I didn’t have noticeable hair loss/thinning (I have quite a lot of hair) but found out I had Vit D deficiency and started taking supplements (1000IU daily) about 8 months ago… and wow. I have so much new hair growth, particularly around the crown of my head and around my hairline. It’s all about 10-15cm long and is driving me crazy it is short, curly and very flyaway. I didn’t even know that Vit D was related to hair loss, so was initially really worried that the new short hairs and might be breakage all magically breaking at the same length all over my head. Anyway, have now discovered my increased Vit D levels are likely the cause although nothing is confirmed medically. Anyway, if you are low in Vit D and have thin hair or hair-loss concerns, try taking the supplement (after consultation with a doctor of course). Just be prepared for the many MANY new short hairs to potentially spring from your head!

  • Can anyone please tell me which part of switzerland this is….is there a package I can purchase or a tour group I can go with in this particular location??

  • Got suspected Covid-19 3 months ago. Still haven’t recovered and trouble sleeping. 2 weeks ago doctor found my Vitamin D was 12, now taking supplements and hopefully will improve.

  • Most of my body is numb. From stomach down for about a week now. 2 doctors said it might be low vitamin B12. I got blood work today,so I hope to hear something Monday. I never knew low B12 can make you feel this way.

  • 2000 is very low. You can do up to 50 000 a week plus sun or lamp exposure and fish. I wouldnt go that slow especially for the people have mutation on the gene that controls vitamin d….Im taking 10 000 a day now. I noticed that C Reactive Protein (marker for inflamation) was lower when vitamin d was huy even if i fixed my stomach..

  • I have had vitamin d deficiency my whole life. I’m 23. I have to get boosts if injections and liquid supplements maybe every two years and I’ve never had a problem with my hair. However for the last five months I’ve lost half my hair. I’ve ordered some biotin and vitamin d I hope this helps! Thank you for your videos they’ve helped me feel less anxious!

  • My doctor has me taking a 50,000 IU Vitamin D capsule once per week for 12 weeks to get my D level back to normal. I have a severe deficiency. Hair loss is one of my symptoms.

  • I found out about my severe vitamin D deficiency in March and in two months my levels went upto 33 ng from 7. I am aiming for 55ng.I started with 4K IU of d3 then went on to 10k IU along with magnesium, fish oil,Vit k2. It was life changing! I also had to correct my severe B12 and iron deficiency with shots and infusions respectively.I took a zinc + b complex capsule too. I also made some dietary changes by limiting dairy, gluten and sugar. I am a different person now. I used to have extreme hair fall, fatigue, drowsiness, dizziness, poor balance, bone pain, weak teeth, numbness in my toes, lack of concentration, poor memory, depression, anxiety and brain fog. My career, social life, relationships everything was suffering for so many years. I feel like over 75% of my problems are gone. It didn’t take too long, only a few months for this entire transformation. Please do not ignore nutritional deficiencies. I hope this helps people

  • Can Vitamin D deficiency be a reason for hair breakage? I had vitamin D deficiency and right now my hair breaking like crazy.. Maybe someone knows? thank u

  • 2000 IU is almost nothing. You should be taking 20,000 IU and optimally 30,000 IU daily. But if you want an authority to obey, then my words are not for you.

  • Is there a link between vitamin d and mental health /anxiety? A few years ago I went through sudden severe anxiety and close to suicidal thoughts. Got bloods checked and was deficient in vit D. The supplements cured everything

  • that is great! you are brilliant. I was loosing my hair and no more since I have ben taking liquid Vit D. Its s been three weeks now and I cant wait to see some hair grow back. I will for sure be patient. i had a severe deficiency as my heart beast were to fast. guess what? they came back to normal with the Vit D liquid supplement. I feel great!

  • I was d deficiency. And ate 4000iu.around 70 days..first I did blood test.my blood level 19 and normal human level should be 50..so the 70 heavy dose 4000iu then 1000iu hole Year 2018 re blood test showed my level is 56…more than enought.but the thousand should be follow all life.
..so if some one feeling bone pain stress and getting infections again and again.better do blood test..

  • Thank you Maria for the same question I wanted to asked (vitamin D)
Very well explained by our handsome PHARMACIST
Taking 2 tab a day 1,000 IU each. God Bless you ⭐

  • Hi just some information. I do hari mineral analysis, meaning I have a lab test hair and I read and advise on the report. Vitamin D Is mainly about calcium. when you are low on vitamin D you may be low in calcium in the cells. Calcium is ratiod to magnesium. Calcium is used for muscle contraction and cell signaling. Magnesium is used for muscle relaxing. Also vitmain D is used as an immune system modulator. If at the present time a person has a virus, it will help tokeep it in suspention, or regulate its severity, just some info

  • I’ve been saying for 2 years my hair has been getting thinner, I just found out my vit d was at 15 so I’m wondering if that’s the reason for it, hopefully it’ll start coming back now!

  • New research is now demonstrating low vitamin D levels correlate to more severe symptoms and death in COVID-19. I suggest the following video to learn exactly how the immune system is modified by vitamin D. https://youtu.be/cDnokrtWJNo

  • My blood calcium level is 8.5 which is a bit low. Have not had D levels tested yet. How much D3 would you recommend taking daily to help get my levels up?

  • Layan, Thanks for sharing your update and sharing with people the problems associated with a Vitamin D deficiency. It’s real and impacts small children to seniors. I am CEO of a company that sells At-Home Test Kits in the US and Canada. For anyone who wants to learn more about Vitamin D, please visit us for a FREE Overview of Vitamin D http://www.anywheretesting.com/vitamin_D Layan, please DM me so I can send you a few kits to monitor your levels at home. Most people who are deficient test their levels 2-3 times a year so they can regulate their supplements.

  • I went from 16 to 52 in 6 months… bottom line get a ton of sun, supplement d3 everyday and learn mindful ways to cope with stress…and you will raise it and feel better in no time…. be consistent!

  • My doctor told me to take 10,000 IU a day of vitamin d for 3-4 months than I’ll go to 5000 iu a day after. My level was at 13.4. Not good! I’m surprised that I’m taking such a high dose daily though

  • I take 10,000 iu per day. That is about the upper limit daily. Vitamin D3 also has a connection to your thyroid, it works with thyroid hormones, which regulate hair. Vitamin D3, iodine and selenium work together to regulate thyroid and proper hair cycle, thickness, as well as hair color (delay graying).

  • Please, people, get a good vitamin D supplement from your doctor. Not some drugstore food supplement. They do not work as well and sometimes not all, because they do not have to prove that they have the same bio availability as real medical grade vitamin D supplements.

  • Once you were taking your vitamin D did you hair continue to fall as much or was there less hairs falling off? How long did it take you to start noticing your hair regrowth?

  • Thank you so much for this!!!
My hair is falling down like crazy and I had to cut it because the ends just went transparent! My Vitamin D is 14 ng/ml and I didn’t believe that it is the cause of the hair loss and I started panicking!
