  • You know it’s weird. I tried the cheese recipe just now on my pizza. The cheese before cooking, tasking dusty and had the flavorvof the tapioca. After cooking though, pretty alright! The consistency is what made it good I think. Didn’t taste the flavor very much, but I would highly recommend it.

  • I recommend instead of making a cucumber pizza you just cube the cucumbers, sprinkle with salt, a dash of sugar and pepper and a drizzle of lime juice and lime zest. And eat that as a side dish to a meat lovers pizza and hot wings.

  • I tried it after all and I really really didn’t like the vegan mozzarella… I might have over cooked it a bit to be fair but I don’t know it has nothing to do with animal cheese in my opinion… I made a very pretty pizza tho so I guess there is that �� But I just tried this by curiosity I admit I’m not a cheese person that is official. And I still haven’t found a vegan cheese that isn’t ew to me… I sometimes wonder if other vegans fake liking vegan cheese to reassure themselves and others �� please tell me I’m not alone.   • Maybe a little less camera and editing fanciness and more solid feedback about the quality of the finished product. So far, I have not tried a single vegan pizza cheese that cooks to the right texture or flavor. That is the only way vegan cheese will replace murder cheese on pizzas. I feel terrible, and I still eat real pizza sometimes, I love it so much, even knowing it’s fermented cow juice. Vegan pizza keeps trying to trick me with false promises. I don’t want a lovely sauce that tastes cheesy, I want something that behaves like high quality pizza cheese in every way, that’s all there is too it. Nothing else can replace it. Just like the Beyond Burger, they had to hit a favor/texture level that was legit for it to make a huge cultural impact. Once vegan cheese is better than most normal cheese at the same price point, it will dominate the market.

  • For those who asked about “strong flour”, it’s a high gluten bread flour. You can add a bit of vital wheat gluten to regular flour to get that nice elasticity that gluten gives. And Steve, very nice showing us how to replicate a pizza cooked in a wood fired oven. It’s definitely an art!
