4 different flavors. I started the day with a green juice, then sipped on spicy lemonade, had a red juice around lunch time, repeated green and red mixes later in the evening and finished the day with cashew milk before bed. • I love these videos I was expecting short, blow off videos for the every day posts BUT THESE ARE ACTUAL VIDEOS AND I LOVE THEM IM IN LOVE I LOVE SEEING THESE NOTIFICATIONS

  • I tried doing this cleanse a couple of days ago… Couldn’t last a day… All i could think about is Food.. what I could be eating dumplings, paratha, noodles…

  • I would like to try something like this, 5 days doesn’t seem bad, maybe I would start with even less. I love coffee in the morning and drinking alcohol. And definitely junk foods both sweet and salty

  • I did this but I incorporated broth like soups with veggies and yoghurts. The chewing aspect helped me stretch this to 10 days. I didn’t just loose water weight but a bit of muscle as well. I don’t weigh myself but I measured, waist, bust and legs. And all around it was a big difference. I did for a friends wedding to fit into a dress as the tailor had made it a bit smaller. I would never do this for continuous period as I love food too much.

  • I did a juice fast for 3 days and It really wasn’t bad, last night I stopped drinking the the juice at 5 and didn’t feel hungry at all. I lost 6 pounds in 3 days, not really healthy but it’s a win for me.

  • I started keto in 215 but gave up pretty quickly. I am committed to at least 90 days no matter what this time and longer if I can make it thru. I am learning a lot from your videos. I have one side effect that is problematic both in 2015 and starting again this I time. It would be great to see a video on night sweats, I turn into a firey furnace, it’s really really bad. I can’t figure out what is happening, good or bad, and is there a way to control this so I can attain proper sleep through the night or adjust something that I could be doing wrong. Keep up the awesome videos!

  • My doctor had me do a juice cleanse for a week because I had surgery on my stomach and my fiancé is in the military and he made my favorite food and ate it in front of me and he drank coffee in front of me and I got so hangry I cried for 10 mins when he ordered from our favorite Chinese food but then when the week was over he was like “thank god you’re back to yourself” I was so emotional and angry so it drove him crazy

  • Tks for your video for young People its do easy to loose weight but all The People are watching your video have all age so some fruits have so much sugar and some vegetable are not recommend to all People. Tks for your video very funny tks.

  • I went on a juice diet for 7 days, hardest thing I ever did. Making that much fresh juice all the time was exhausting. Plus you need a good juicer. I had headaches and dizzy spells. Would not recommend

  • Weak excuse to quit short of your 5 day goal. Most of the juices you were drinking were loaded with sugar. You didnt do any juice fasting here. This is an uneducated hipster juice fast at best.

  • The ratio of vegetables to fruit is 80/20. Five days isn’t long enough. Bought juices aren’t advisable, its easier to make your own

  • It is detoxing u ur feeding ur self but since it’s so much vegetables in one juice ur giving ur body all the nutrients it needs and so while that’s happening it takes out all the toxins while ur drinking it in 15 mins detoxes u

  • The opinions expressed in this video are rather uninformed (particularly the implication that junk food vegans are exempt from needing detox). Anyone who wants to thoroughly understand juice cleansing/fasting should look at the videos of John Rose here on YouTube.

  • I’m not a doctor or a nutrition specialist but it is cleansing your body. When you only consume the juice your giving your body the time to flush out the “toxins” you consume with the processed foods you eat all of that gurgling is for sure a combo of hunger and gas but it’s also a sign of the cleansing. I’ll be doing a one day of the beginner’s cleanse (which is more fruity to give me an opportunity to see if I can handle a juice cleanse) I agree that in a sense it’s also a fast, BUT using the term fast isn’t smart for marketing. I’m going to finish watching the vid now but I wonder with the tummy troubles did you have toilet troubles as well? Odd question I know but I am a tad worried about it.

  • hey so while watching this I started to think the foggy headed -ish thing you experienced, probably a low fat intake maybe. I am all for juicing. I think if you ate a light plant based diet meal, once a day with nuts, avocados, dates ect … u would be super spot on. but that’s just an opinion. love the video girl <3

  • Thanks for your video. I must say though, I feel you did not juice long enough to really get a proper feel as to whether or not juicing helps with detoxing, continued energy levels etc. especially when cutting it short to 4 days instead of the actual 5 on top of that. Perhaps you may do another video if you choose to do a longer juice cleanse, even just for comparison. I would definitely watch it!: ) Thanks again nonetheless.

  • People make me laugh when they say they’re living off “just juice” they forget that what they are taking in is a HUGE amount of vitamins and nutrients, far more than they get from the crap they normally eat

  • I want to try this starting Saturday.. what do people recommend for homemade juices? I only know one juice place but it’s so expensive.. like $6-8 for a bottle

  • I didnt get the detoxing signs until day 5. Pretty much anyone raised in America non raw Vegan as a child would have PLENTY of digestional detoxing to do. Its not the animal product its the shedding of the plastic liner that develops from processed food is why I did it and trust me, once you get into the deeper realms of the detox you will actually notice the depletion of the plastic liner which works to block the body from being able to process much of any nutrients.

  • Would you consider trying this challenge with just celery juice in the mornings on an empty stomach? It might be different this time, more positive. Just a thought. I love your personality… you are funny and keep it real!

  • “cleansing” the body is not necessary, our bodies naturally cleanse themselves via bowel movements, sweating, breathing, the liver, etc. Even if youve eaten nothing but cakes and cookies for years, as soon as you start eating more veggies, fruits, etc, your body will naturally “cleanse” itself. Juice fasts like these are gimmicky and made to take advantage of those who are not professional nutritionists, but are concerned with their health.

  • I agree about salt. I used so much salt. I also learned that the salt I was eating was contributing to my MAJOR nightly leg cramps. I quit salting my food and amazingly my legs stopped cramping.

Also, I want to juice fast, but I’m not sure where to start.

  • I went through a 7 day juice fast and felt this like layer of sugar around my teeth the minute I finished a juice. Did I do something wrong? I recorded what I drank here

  • So…..I started my juice “cleanse” on Monday before following you….
Found this on Wednesday (today) and you are my new best friend..
Brain fog and food cravings hard!!!! but…..I want to say “I tried” too!!

  • I’ll never understand people that “detox” or juice cleanse….at all. Your skin, lungs, kidneys, liver and colon do this all for you LOL

  • This is EXACTLY what happened to me. I almost killed my self with way too much juicing. I gave myself a fatty liver and now I’m on the keto diet. The only juicing I’m doing is green juice with lemons. I’m eating a small amount of fruit, like a half of grapefruit or a small handful of blueberries per day. Finally the disgusting belly fat is shrinking. After I broke my foot from a sprained ankle, I knew something was wrong. My body was turning to mush from way too much fructose. I’m so glad I discovered this keto diet, it’s saving my life.

  • I am in love with this chanel and Your work, this is SOMETHING I’VE BEEN LOOKING FOR A LONG TIME, DEFINITELY, not just for bio, for integreted whole development. At this point, regardless I watch since 4 days, I must say that I am very impressed and gratefull. You are connecting the dots from areas that I’ve sepparately digded into. VERY BIG THANK YOU!

  • Be a proxy-vegeterian. Only eat meat from herbivorous animals
A joke. A vegan diet can be a good thing for a while. Eventually a blood work up from your doctor will show that ya need to eat some fat and protein.
I know from experience. Maybe you have found a work around. I don’t mind eating fish/ sea foods and sometimes fowl/chicken etc. but mammals and some other critters I am bothered to kill or eat them. Hell, I won’t kill a snake in my garden. I catch it and take it to the deep woods (about 7 miles away) and let it go.

  • People need to understand that a detox is exactly that…. if you have ever detoxed from drugs, your body reacts the same way… she is addicted to salt and apparently caffeine. She was craving fake chicken nuggets. This detox is because most commonly bodies are not functioning on a hermit diet. We are scavengers. Nuts, berries, vegetable, grain. She was DETOXIFYING a toxic body.

  • I went on a juice cleanse and fainted while running in pe. I ended up having a concussion and when I finally woke up it was the end of the next day. So at least I had finished my juice cleanse:/

  • Juicing is stupid. It concentrates the sugar and acid and you throw the most important parts down the drain, namely the soluble and insoluble fibre.

  • They def can work. My mom had bad cervical cancer for 5 years. Everything everything would get so backed up n her kidneys would start to back up into her body and they would put her on hospice she would come home and we would do a juice cleaner with mostly anti inflamatories. She would always get better. Until the last time, but at that point the cancer was just everywhere.

  • Cleaning yourself out (Detoxing) is easy just drink water and not eat anything! Anything else is just calorie restriction even with juice or small amounts of fruit, veggies or meat. You don’t have to eat a bunch of vitamin and mineral deprived junk food for good tasting meals.

  • LOVE the o=phrase cleanse your body of toxins. Witch toxins specifically I have asked people on a cleanse. I NEVER can get any one to name exactly what chemicals or substance is being removed.

  • Thanks for this video!! It’s really informative. You only really hear about juice cleanses from people that sell them so they are very bias. Interesting seeing your body’s reaction to the green juice! will look into that!

  • If you want to feel better (particularly after a hangover) eat a huge bowl of chili and wash it down with a coke. Nothing can survive what that does to you.

  • I ve tried a few of them.

Never felt so weak and sick in my entire life.

My recipe to staying healthy, strong and beautiful is:

    1. As the girl said, try to eat some fruit and veg every day

    2. Dont try to cut off rubbish food COMPLETELY. Try to moderate it

    3. Make a few of easy simple replacements. Diet Coke instead of Coke (and not every day)

    Brown bread instead of white.

    Skimmed milk instead of whole.

Nuts as a snack at work instead of chocolate or haribo

If you drink coffee with sugar every day, cut off the sugar. If you cannot drink coffee without sugar like me then just quit coffee. Yes, you heard me, quit coffee. You dont need it, and if you do everything on my list, you ll have WAY more energy than what you have with your current lifestyle and coffee

    4. Exercise. Sorry, no way around this one. There are thousands of types of exercise, from going to the gym, dancing, martial arts, to cycling to just squatting and jogging and doing pushups.

Find one out of the thousands that you like and do it.

There s no time is bullshit.

Exercising is a NECESSITY for your health. Place it higher in your priorities than facebook, parties of people you dont even like, TV, videogames and calling your friend Betty for the third time today to discuss something you ve already discussed.

    5. Keep your house nice, comfortable and warm, but try to put yourself through as much hardship as possible outside it.

Do not take your car to go a mile further down just because its slightly drizzling. Walk.

If you re at a cafeteria, dont go sit inside as soon as the temperature drops below 30 degrees.

Even old people can handle as low as 10 degrees easily, if they re used to it. Man up (or woman up).

Hardships make you hard, soft treatment makes you soft.

At the end of the day, you ll go back to your sweet warm home, and your immune system will start working on making you harder for the next time.

  • I could never go on a juice cleanse, I enjoy chewing too much… Also most placebo effects don’t work on me, except for maybe when I got on the 5:2 diet bandwagon, that was really cool and supposedly has a lot of health benefits besides weightloss. Maybe it’s interesting enough for you guys to talk about?

  • I think a juice cleanse would work to the extent of helping the liver to empty itself of garbage long enough to start releasing extra toxins than usual. However, juices have a lot of sugar and would not be the best for diabetics.

  • Well yeah you’re gonna be shitting squirts if you’re using it to replace meals. It’s not a protein shake. I take it with a multivitamin within a couple hours of a meal and it’s been good.

  • I’ve never done a juice fast. I can remember during my first water fast, about the end of day two, a bag of organic potting mix sounded appetizing. A juice fast might be a little easier than water or dry fasting I might try doing one.

  • Sooo juice cleanses are a bunch of bs then. Ya’hear that everyone (always dieting, people always looking for wacky new ways to loose weight, and people that probably have some kind of eating disorder, etc., etc.) juice cleansing is pure bs!! Don’t try it, it’ll be a complete waste of time and won’t accomplish anything.

  • Never seen the documentary “Fat Sick & Nearly Dead”? You can also take a trip to the “Gerson Clinic” in Mexico, and speak with any one of the patients. They also have publicly available records of individuals who have made great progress there.

  • i’m a 23 year old at ESRD and tried juice with meals and it NEVER worked for me. I’ve done it for 45 days and all i got were constant diarrhea and pain in/near the anal area. i had to go on antidiarrheal for couple days just go relieve symptoms.
However, it DID make me feel psychologically better (placebo effect maybe?) but i reckon that was not worth destroying my body more with ESRD.

  • Can you do a segment on extrogeneous ketones? I’m seeing a ton of hype about drinking or consuming ketones. Seems kind of hocus pocus to me.

  • I went on a raw diet for 3months which was two juices a day and lots of salad for fibre. worst decision ever, my grades dropped, my energy dropped. definitely lacked carbs

  • So what about products like Soylent that claim to have all the nutrients needed for your body? Similar to a “juice cleanse” I would think that one’s stomach (and to some degree, mouth) would have a difficult time adjusting to food that doesn’t need to be broken down the way that solid foods would.

  • HE IS 100%
CORRECT. The liver and kidneys are designed to detoxify the body and juices only skyrocket the blood sugar which can lead to type 2 diabetes.

  • mmmm… desecration…..

I will admit I have done the whole nothing but juice for a few days’ thing, but it has always been due to a combination of heavy schedule and not wanting to go shopping. The effects on blood sugar start showing up in my work pretty quickly and thus I would not call it a good thing.

  • love the video! one question came to mind that i would love to see a video on. Do dietary supplements actually work and if they do, how? how does it affect the body short term/long term/psychological effects (maybe?)

  • i made my own with my garden food in my poor country that feed all o euro zone but forced to keep money in europ or else they take over our country to give people democracy or play fight show their terrorist friends they use as police

  • Look into the Kemets, they have all the information you need. They’ve been doing detoxes and cleanses for the Mind, Body and Soul for tens of thousands of years.

They were here before all of us, and now we treat them like trash simply because we’re allowing Low-Vibrational savages tell us what to do, how to think and how to act.

The Khemets know how to properly treat the Mind, Body and Soul because the 3 are inseparable. They are one in the same.

Just like how Amen/Ra/Ptah is NOT a list of names for Gods, but in fact they are 3 different forms of the same thing: The Universe. You.

  • Sarcasm aside, this guy is either a total IDIOT or he is paid by Big Pharma, or the AMA, to produce these inane “information” videos. The fact is that I had a duodenal ulcer when I was 20 years old, which was diagnosed by an AMA “doctor” after performing an upper GI. His recommendation??? Take Maalox, drink milk, cook everything to death… and by all means, STAY AWAY FROM RAW FRUITS AND VEGETABLES! After my third visit, and in great pain, I told the “doctor” that I was constipated and hadn’t had a normal bowel movement in a very long time. I was also bleeding from my rectum. His recommendation??? “Go talk to Dr. ‘so-and-so’ on fourth floor… Your problem is all in your head.” In other words, the “Dr. on fourth floor” would have put me on antidepressants… to solve the “problem in my head.” No, sir! I did not go to “Doctor Feel-good.” Instead, I followed a friend’s advice and drank 1/2 gallon of fresh-squeezed carrot juice and 1/4 gallon of fresh-squeezed spinach juice. (Honestly, I was in so much pain that had he told me to drink 1/2 gallon of gasoline and 1/4 gallon of motor oil, I would have done it!) One hour later I had the biggest bowel movement in my life. Less than a week later, after following this regimen, my ulcer pain was history and I am happy to report that now, at age 65, I am alive and well.. and still drink fresh-squeezed juices… along with beer, wine, and an occasional Highland single malt Scotch (Anyone want to send me a bottle of OBAN???). Had I followed the “doctor’s” advice, I probably would have ended up on Xanax and, like my mother, would have threatened to burn the house down and commit suicide. Yes sir, that is exactly what happened to my 80 year-old mother after she followed her “doctor’s” advice!

  • when you know your attractive, when your a actress playing someone who can shit through the eye of a needle and yet you still caught the eye of at least 1 male (looking after each other with love when your poorly is 1 of my favourite things of been in a relationship so its not unattractive to me to see your partner like her and hear what’s she saying it just makes me want to fuss her so she feels better)

  • Hello Thomas, I am writting from Mexico City. I understand about juiceing with fruits, but what about juiceing just veggies, like Kale, spinach and other types of veggies, would that be Ok?
    Best regards

  • Vegetable juice is a viable and energizing food substitute. An excess of fruit juices from sugary fruits could create problems though. Just look at videos like Super Juice Me where people reversed their diabetes in 1 month of juice fasting

  • I took a detox tea and I thought I was going to die. I didn’t buy it my flatmate likes these things. My mother blends fruits too. All these things give me diarrhea so I just eat healthy. I also exercise 150 minutes a week.

  • I’m a desert rat, and I’ve found a big glass of water usually works for me. Dehydration can sneak into all sorts of “feeling cruddy” symptoms without actually feeling thirsty. Not bottled special woo-peddling water either, just a liter of tap water in a cup, run it through a filter if you’re feeling posh.

Oddly enough I’ve also found that when I get thirsty I think I’m hungry instead, so reaching for the water first also means I eat less.

  • Lmao, our bodys detox themselves by the same organs that most americans in a standard american diet all get liver disease, heart disease, high blood pressure, and all those great things that come from eating GMO food and eating meat glue in all them fast food restaurants.

  • stopped juicing and did blending a while back. cheaper, less waste and makes a wholesome breakfast. mango+spinach+banana combo is pretty awesome

  • It’s like bowel prep… except for days rather than a few hours. If you don’t know what bowel prep is… someday you will. You. Will.

  • All the benefits of these drinks literally comes from cutting them out and drinking water instead. Also getting full nights of uninterrupted sleep.

  • What I posted in response to this video:

“Your info on fructose is totally incorrect as is your info on juice fasting. I have done extended juice fasts including one in 2017 of 162 days. Fructose, the simple sugar in fruit, is totally what our cells need, it is not broken down by the liver and, it doesn’t require the cellular transport, insulin, to transport it to your cells. You can totally get enough calories while juice fasting and drinking fruit and vegetable juices plus, since the nutrients and enzymes are alive the juices are more nutrient dense. I exercised and worked the whole time I was juice fasting. The body will use fructose first and the “need” for “protein” is overemphasized. All fruits and vegetables contain amino acids, the building blocks of protein.”

  • This is pure b.s. this guy is thrusted up on the algorithms to deceive.
    Your primarily a frugavoir.
    Dont mix fat and sugar
Detox is like a bandaid be brave rip it off.

  • I’m on day 10 of a juice fast, thanks for raining on my parade. these days there’s so many studies, ideas, on what we should and shouldn’t be doing or eating. I think we have to be mindful who is also funding studies. I do plan on continuing for 40 days.

  • thanks for making this juice diet vid jade! it was really interesting!! I don’t think I could do it honestly lol. I’d crave to eat a big meal. But, I do drink juice every single day. I have never been into drinking soda. All I drink is water, juice, and almond milk:)

  • This guy is a joke.
Watch John Rose 28 year raw vegan who is a modern day hero advocate of the juice feast.
It’s about cleaning the poo pipes…
    That’s what juice feasting is

  • Correct-O-Matic! I did a vegetable juice “cleanse”, cold pressed, organic for three days which led to me not just losing weight on day four, but continuing to lose weight because I got used to having smaller portions and felt I didn’t need carbs anymore. I just saw a chart of my weight loss at the VA and the doctor was like wow! And it all started with the juice “cleanse”, the rest has been filling salads and better choices as well as portion control. I’m going to stay a subscriber but this video made me blink.

  • I was listening until you said fatty belly. I’ll see your bullshit and raise you john rose. Hes in his 60s and shredded. You’re just a roidhead using bro science.

  • The reason u are feeling hunger is bc think about it your body makes u hungry to remind u to eat when it realizes that ain’t gonna happen your body shuts the hunger off and that’s when u feel amazing And juice fast can be a weight loss solution Watch the movie Fat sick and nearly dead.

  • all I know is I eat a really healthy diet….I started juicing my fruits, leaving out the fibre and I started to gain weight, I cannot loose this weight, also my triglycerides are way too high….the only thing that I can think of is that Ive been juicing lots and lots of fruit…thanks Thomas….Question, can I reverse the high trigs and loose this weight if I cut out the fruits for a while????

  • Your full of crapp, really. Who is paying you for this bad vid….blund..your way off and dum.man man its just to dum for words….by a SLOOOW JUICER and start a juice vacation with vegtables….dummy

  • I have between 1800-3000 calories a day in a juice fast/feast. There are too many first hand documented amazing results in FB juicing groups and on youtube for juicing to be fake. People are doing repeated 90+ day juice cleanses. Nobody would do that if they were not getting great results. Watch the movie “fat, sick and nearly dead”. Or “super juice me”.

  • Check out this study published on May 2019 in the journal of NUTRITION: “No association between fruits or vegetables and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease in middle-aged men and women” by Japanese. The study was done on 977 men and 1467 women, 40 to 69 y of age. I would guess there isn’t a strong correlation between fruit and NAFL, but probably obesity/over weight is more related to NAFL.

  • I don’t know what kind of obese fruit eating mice you have, doc, but the fact that people who eats only fruit is mostly so skinny. You see? And now, you have to do a math! If someone uses all the fruits calories that has eaten, they livers will not be greasy, doc! Think,…! You see? Come on! Basically, you always look after the things, properly, and you make a lot of good videos, but this one is not a logical information. You don’t have to believe everything that “researchers” post on the net. No need to drink 5 liters a day! The fact is, the juice fast is not the traditional fasting, but still has many benefits!

  • Before watching this, I hadn’t even heard about Juice Cleanse. Damn. How can anyone with the least bit of scientific literacy think drinking something like that will detox you?

  • Would this also apply to a vegetable juice fast? Beets/ Carrots / Kale / Ginger / Parsley / etc… I have been intermittent fasting but am wondering, what if I juice during my eating periods while id do this diet? Very interested in getting some input so I could maximize my fasting diet/weight loss.

  • He’s super passionate about WATER fasting because he made a massive transition doing it and everything else is crap. I would encourage him to try it then make a video. It’s like someone who never jumped into a swimming pool but read all these facts on ”this isn’t good and that” but never actually tried it….. think about that.

  • I was really happy with previous videos but I find this one misleading and alarmist. 1. People who juice fast use few fruits if any. 2. The longest living group with the highest quality of health into old age practice vegetarianism and eat fruit. Added sugar causes fatty liver, not fruit itself. and yes fruit juice is an added sugar. This makes me wonder if slight twisting of the facts and alarmist tactics are part of the other videos I have watched. Actually, juicing helped improve my fatty liver. The opposite of what you said.

  • * why you should avoid juicing
    * get your bone broth here (high in sodium; also bad for body)

As someone with an autoimmune disease, I can definitely say that juicing is effective. For me, it’s most effective against inflammation. Also, fruit is not the only thing you juice. More often than not, I juice dark and leafy greens like kale and spinach. Add a bit of apple or carrot for a bit of sweetness.

Also, your body needs the right kinds of sugars. On average, you need about 15 grams of fructose per day. Better from juice than loading up on processed crap.

  • Thanks Thomas! I needed a good belly laugh. This video is either trolling click bait, or this guy is a moron. I’m calling click bait. Re protein, if you did more research, you’d know all the amino acids are in fruit, and too much protein is actually bad for the body anyway. “Juice fasting makes us fat” LMFAO.. talking out of your rectal passage which, incidentally, you won’t be able to clear the mucoid plaque out of WITHOUT doing a long juice cleanse, have you never seen Super Juice Me? They ALL lost a bunch of weight and got super healthy. “Let’s look at THE science” be honest, You’re looking at a tiny subsection of the science, which is completely misleading, misunderstood in its wider context, and used by you to draw totally erroneous conclusions. Wish I had time to point out the multiple other errors/commissions in this video. Click bait trolling or stupidity. anyone who really wants to understand the science (And art) of juice fasting/feasting/cleansing, go listen to Dr Robert Morse, John rose, Jason Vale, or any of these other ACTUAL experts who actually know what they are talking about. You should not discourage people from juice fasting/feasting. The benefits of it are incredible, for physical health, deep detoxification, deep healing, mental health, and even spiritual awakening. Good day to you.

  • So I have always had the mentality that if I’m going to cheat and eat sweets, at least make it fruits. Would overloading on fruits be worse then eating sweets with actual sugar?

  • I would love to see a video on the effects of Cannabis and CBD Oil along with Intermittent Fasting. I have Ate Cannabis for years, CBD Oil helped get me off of some prescription pills after some serious operations. Hip Replacements and Malignant Tumors removed from my bladder. I kinda like the Blending better than Juicing. Whenever someone gives me some cannabis leaves I add them to the mix for health. Thanks.

  • Juicing helped me a lot I can sleep better more energy, and more happier. Plus the only fruit in it is apples and lemons the rest are veggies

  • This is complete bs. I’m on my 10th day of my juice fast and I have NEVER been hungry. Ya I miss food but I don’t get hungry. How can you say it’s bad for you because of the lack of calories when on the other hand you recommend water fasting when we all know there are no calories in water. This doesn’t make sense?????
By the way most people don’t do a fruit juice fast, 80% veg and 20% fruit get your facts right please.

  • Done 2 seven day juice fast and a 3 day once. Not particularly low on energy. Didn’t seem I was in too much of a caloric deficit but I was and I’m a full time boxing coach. Dropped loads of weight, felt more alert, clearer thinking better eye sight etc etc. only problem was I felt a little hungry. No biggie. Also on the sugar intake. I’d rather worry about having too much sugar through fruit than through crisps, sweets, chocolate coke etc. nice scientific explanation but veg and fruit juice works perfectly fine without it.

  • Thank you for sharing so much great info! I am really interested in a video on vegetable juice. Like greens, celery, beets and carrots (which do have more fructose than other veggies.)

  • What a shame you have such a large audience whilst talking absolute rubbish. Juice cleanses don’t use solely fruit, they use mostly vegetables. Obviously just using fruit wouldn’t be healthy, but your title just mentions juice cleanses, not fruit juice cleanses. Just click bait. Very sad.

  • How about green, fruit free juicing. I make kale, celery, cilantro, parsley, green, lettuce, basil, cucumber juice. Is that bad? Can someone tell me?

  • He really didn’t say much in this video to justify saying juice fasting is bad or debunked. I am not a doctor but I damn sure know juice fasting is healthy. He talked about fiber and the antioxidants in them ok great but the fiber is not consumed because it is a juice cleanse not a way of life. The fiber is not consumed in a juice fast so the body can save energy from not having to digest fiber. The extra energy goes into healing your body letting your body remove toxins out of your system. All the waste that comes out of you has been in you for awhile if you eat fiber you will just be adding unnecessary waste matter into your system making it harder for the waste stuck inside you to come out. When I was fasting and pooping it was a relief to see that waste matter be removed and your supposed to keep going till no more waste comes out.

Once again he really didn’t say anything directly negative about juice fasting. The protein argument I think has nothing bad to say about juice fasting since all the protein we need is in plants. I don’t think this video debunks anything.

  • You know that’s fresh stuff in the store is not all that fresh. Every day it sits it losses a large chunk of nutritional value. If you get iqf (individually quick Frozen) it has a very high nutritional value.

  • I have started juicing and feel very weak, and sicker ever since I have started it’s been a week now. It is not a juice fasting cause I still eat food but juice in the morning first thing to ingest. EVER since I have started i am experiencing palpitations, fatigue, I don’t know for sure but I think it gives sleep apnea too cause I wake with dry mouth but not snoring and extreme fatigue and weakness, dark circles and fatigue all the time and hungry all the time. What can I do to get more energy and not feeling sluggish on juicing in the morning?

  • 100% disagree with the comments on juice fasting.. your science is garbage. Juicing does not give you a fatty liver.. smh.. ive done many juice fasts 60 day 90 days and up. Ive had my liver checked before and after.. both my doctor and the blood work both showed my liver was kicking ass. I also never felt hungry while i was on my fasts. Juice fasting does not make you fat.. smh! For the same reason that you cant just eat and sit on your butt and not workout.. u cant just juice and sit on your butt.. once again your science is garbage.

  • This is in no way a juice cleanse… You arent putting juice from actual fruits and/or veggies in your body… You’re drinking processed juice from a bottle…. You wasted your time!!

  • Hey Thomas thanks for the content I watch your vids all the time. With that said I hoped you would have focused more on veggies rather than a fruitarian juice cleanse. There are 2 types of fiber are you saying that when you juice you don’t receive any fiber? Thats misleading as well as the title of the video should be (fruit juice fasting) since you focused on only fruits. Big fan keep the videos coming.

  • I learnd that fructose is turned in glucose and glucose is turned in frucotose in the body all the time. At least thats what my Prof. in Biotechnology told me.

  • Lies lies lies!!! Juice fasting is great for your health. And for weight loss!!! Starvation mode my ass! That’s that stupid bro science crap

  • “The liver and kidneys are natural detoxifiers”. Yes. But what happens when the liver/kidneys become damaged through stress, drinking, poor diet, and/or aging? I don’t buy into most of the cleansing crap out there, but some people are more prone to congestion than others. Your car/house/vacuum all have filters, but guess what. You have to maintain or (gasp)…clean… them.

  • You have to realize your source of information. It is fine for this 20-something year old who is barely begun his life compared to a 50 or 60 year old who’s nutritional value is much much different. His advice made me very good that is if I were 30 years younger.

  • When you juice fast you have to drink a lot of juices in order to get the calories you need. People make this mistake ALL the time and make the fast look bad. Drink at least 4 liter of juice every day in order to properly perform during the fast. So much fals i formation here its sad.

  • HI its great video. Explained perfectly.Respect from India. Could you make a video on Juicing VS Blending (Vegetables, fruits).Thank you in advance.

  • Also many people juice fasting consume a lot of juice to satisfy caloric needs look at John rose’s plan and if you are doing something much different now that is a problem

  • He would be right if juicing fruit actually took away the fiber which it doesn’t unless it is strained afterwards you can still get plenty of fiber from juices I think we all need to look into it more and realize this is just wrong

  • I have never fasted for as long as I have this time. I make my own juice and all organic. Maybe you should try making your own jucie

  • Content is good as always. Presentation is shaky and restless. The old way of with steady camera is much better. I get a headache and can not concentrate watching this style, had to quit watching. I know you try to improve on things but this is a step to the wrong direction. The best way is thomas talking in front of steady camera. Then it is easy to listen and watch.

  • Use your brain, juice fasting is a great way to flush the body of over accumulation of toxins and mucus. it isn’t a long term way to live, after that a well balanced plant based diet with healthy animal products with minimal sugar and refined carbohydrates & no vegetable oils

  • Having lived in Japan, I can say that most Japanese people are not “fit.” They are small but “skinny fat”. Take their shirt off and the average Japanese man looks like a child no muscle, no definition, but probably a little pot belly. It’s a country of hard-gainers, by appearances. They love creating and consuming huge quantities of really weird candies and sweets, and manufacture sugary beverages that don’t get exported (like Calpiss, which I cleverly called Cow Piss) but are sold in vending machines next to the cigarette vending machines on the street. Of course, there were many people who were obese. I’m not exaggerating, i saw school children who looked like they were preparing to be sumo wrestlers later in life. One of my best friends there was massively fat. They love fried dumplings and pot-stickers. There are entire restaurants dedicated to serving massive quantities of stuffed dumplings. Yet, the comments point at such countries and say “they eat rice everyday, we can do it too!” I’m a Spartan, not a 30 year old child with alcohol allergies. P.s. ohayou, konnichiwa and konbanwa, I am simply baku gaijin. Take nothing I say to heart. It’s all anecdotal evidence from a few years in the area around Tokyo, anyway. I didn’t do any studies.

  • About 18 years ago, 35 year old, looking 28, and 9% body fat, I did a three day juice “fast” for cleansing. This is what I got of it:
    (1) a miserable weekend especially, a big swell was up and I spent hours freezing in the water.
    (2) the first spare tire in my life in the following week.

    Don’t do it!

  • I thought most fruit was 50/50 in fructose and glucose?? @ 3:55 doesn’t, say, a medium banana actually contain 5.72g of fructose and 5.88g of glucose!? Also alternative sweeteners like for example Sugar Alcohols / Polyols are also metabolized by the liver, so I’m wondering are they greatly taxing the liver too?

  • This is by far my favourite cracked video

Edit: you don’t have to worry about being grumpy or riddled with deep body aches, you’ll be too busy sh*tting water to worry about leaving the bathroom much less the house!

  • But I felt best I’ve ever felt when I tried a juice diet. It wasn’t sustainable, however, but I lost weight (2 stones), my joints didn’t hurt, I felt lean and light and happy! I used joe cross’s simple apple and cucumber. Cheap and cheerful. Now I m Keto but I don’t feel so good. I haven’t lost much weight and my joints are killing me. I constantly feel like I’ve been run over by a bus. I don’t sleep and I have anxiety.

  • Damn, I always thought that fructose is better than glucose because it came from fruits. Learned something new today. Thanks for the great vid.

  • Tell that to Vegetable Police on YouTube! Lol He’s skinny as a rail and does calesthenics. Biggest part of his diet is fruits. He’s comical though.

  • You are absolutely not right. You are showing meat in your video and there is so much more protein and better protein in (dark) leafy greens. Also you are focusing on macro nutrients, but there are so much minerals, vitamins, micronutrients and other benefits in fresh pressed/ juiced fruits and vegetables, you are not even mentioning. If you juice fast you can juice fruit juices, green juices, combinations, you will absolutely NOT be hungry past day 5, you will feel your best, energetic self, you will heal potentially deadly, degenerative deceases (check out 28 day juice fast documentary), can cure cancer with juicing (Gerson method) and so much more. This video is so not giving the proper science and information. I feel sad for misleading your viewers like this. Because you look good and have a fancy channel with camera’s, a set, and Godknowswhat, doesn’t mean you are giving proper information.

  • A juice cleanse is not fasting, but it is a great way to clean out your digestive tract, gain more energy and reset especially if you’ve been eating a lot of processed foods.

  • Video and title was a little misleading. You said you tried the 3 day juice cleanse but you didn’t do it properly from start to finish and you didn’t even tell us how much weight you lost. Not very informative love ‍♀️

  • Kind of annoying watching all these people doing juice cleanses on YouTube and they’re all cheating, what’s the point of doing a juice cleanse if you’re going to drink coffee & be eating? You just wasted your money on juice for no reason..

  • It was a good video, but you said about fruit and vegetables lacking in protein ‍♀️ which is false it depends on the fruit or vegetable…all protein in meat comes from plants!

  • Well, since i live in an area that has papaya that gets sold fresh, i eat that whenever i do not feel good, of coarse after eating food.

  • Finally a properly detailed review of a juice cleanse I have been contemplating doing one for years so this is really helpful for me, thanks Jade x

  • It’s a little bit disappointing that you didn’t do it properly at the start, starting with the recommended no.1 to 6. But thank you for the video, it was informative

  • In the past year I suddenly became allergic to, dairy, peanuts, cashews, eggs, soy and rice. It got to the point that anything at all I ate my face would break out 30 min later, and have stomach upset.
I did a 2 day juice feast, and implemented intermittent fasting and bone broth into my diet and my gut is healing, going without protein or fiber for a couple days isn’t going to have a negative effect long term. Everything has it’s time and place.

  • Juice fasting is not a diet. It’s done to detox the body, remove heavy metals and cleanse the colon. You need to juice more vegetables than fruits.

  • Yeah another Oscar winning video jade great job your such an awesome youtuber . Your videos are wonderful and enjoyable to watch honestly .

  • I LOVED this video. I love how balanced an opinion you were giving. I think there was such a phase for juice cleanses and weight loss and it’s nice to see you try it and see it isn’t for everyone. Plus you actually were really informative in ways these companies never would be cos they just want you to do their cleanses, what with talking about high sugars, sugar spikes, lack of fibre etc.

  • This is why I love your videos, you’re honest and you do your research. If you ever go back to school you would do very well as a nutritionist / dietician.
