  • Jesus Christ is coming back to Earth very soon! If you want to spend eternity in the Kingdom of Heaven, you must recognize that you are a sinner on your way to Hell (Romans 3:23), and that you are in need of a savior (Romans 6:23). Over 2000 years ago, Jesus lived a perfect life and died on the Cross of Calvery to atone all of your sins (John 3:16). All you have to do to be saved is trust in his shed blood on the Cross of Calvery as your only hope of Heaven (John 6:40). Once you do this, you are sealed with the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

John 6:40 “And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.”

Acts 16:31 “And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.”

Acts 10:43 “To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.”

John 11:26 “And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?”

Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”

Ephesians 1:13-14 “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.”

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.”

  • Guys try this for the best low cal option WITHOUT OIL!
    1. Get a packet of kernels (with nothing in them)
    2. Get a microwave safe bowl (larger one)
    3. Put a bit of kernels in (check if the bowl is big enough)
    4. Put a microwave safe plate over the bowl
    5. Microwave for 2 minutes (maybe a bit more, depends on microwave)
    6. Take out, add salt. NO OIL NEEDED <3

  • I use cold water with the dry rice powder, and I boiled in hot water, although it took a long time enough, but still very hard inside.:(

  • Thanks for ruining my movie night JUST KIDDING!!! I make a baggie with some macadamia nuts and some lillies chocolate chips for my movie snack Or I bring 405 Brand Jalapeno pork skins and then I just smell the air with the popcorn smell while I eat these snacks and pretend I have popcorn in my lap, this takes care of my crunch need while at the movies…

  • Just stumbled upon u guys! This video is great. Looking to start keto after I have my baby. Currently pregnant so getting as much knowledge as possible. Will be checking out more videos. Thanks for the information!

  • “90% of the corn grown and eaten in this country is GMO corn, popcorn comes from a different seed and has not been genetically modified”. Jeffery Smith, executive director of the Institute for Responsible Technology and GMO expert.

  • Thanks for ruining everything.
I don’t know what’s worse, him destroying all the food I love to eat or that I will keep watching his videos. sigh

  • I lost 20 pounds once on popcorn…..weight watchers promoted as much popcorn as u want to eat and lose weight. It worked. This was years ago.

  • I’ve been low carb and IF (18-6) for 6 months now. I started at 450 and am currently 369, but the last 3 weeks I’ve not lost any weight at all, and last week I gained 1.2 pounds. My caloric deficit should have equaled 12 pounds lost over the same amount of time. I eat 2000-2300 calories per day and hike 3 miles 3 days-per-week, 4.5 1-day-per-week, and 6 miles 1-day-per-week, with 2 days of no exercise. My BMR (sedentary) is currently at 3100 calories per-day with an average caloric burning of 4700 through exercise per-week. The 4700 calories burned plus the 1000 calorie deficit from intake should equate to a loss of 3.34 pounds of fat lost per week. I’m 36 years old and 6’3″ and male.

  • Gave up popcorn a few years ago and then heard Thomas D. advise breaking a fast with an organic rice cake. Now I am hooked on organic rice cakes and then I watch this. Ugh….

  • I love your videos u have literally changed my husband and my life. Down 31lbs total. A great video game is rocket league my plays that everyday.

  • 100 grams of popcorn is like a whole family sized bag of pre popped popcorn. It’s like 10 cups or so.

This video is a little misleading. If you want to argue not to eat popcorn because corn “isn’t Keto” that’s fine, but telling people that something that may make the lifestyle more sustainable for them “Is hard to eat in ANY amount” while using a serving size that the vast majority of people would find crazy is disengenuous.

I recently purchased a bag of heirloom popcorn from Whole Foods by “pipcorn” and have had ZERO problems working a few handfuls into my diet whenever I’m feeling a craving for something crunchy. So long as you respect it and don’t go crazy there’s no reason you can’t have popcorn. My two big handfuls of popcorn (6g enough to cover the bottom of a paper plate) were 4 g of net carbs today and I melted a half tbspn of butter and sprinkled some sea salt in it and tossed my popcorn in it.

Additionally I don’t know where you got your data for the gi for popcorn, the USDA seems to think air popped pop corn is 55 gi so either one of you has the number wrong or there’s different numbers for different methods for popping corn. I generally like your content but this felt a little off to me.

  • Rice cakes are processed…popcorn is not, let’s start with that. So that kicks rice cakes out of my diet right there. But I only make popcorn every once in a while, old-school…on the stove in a little olive oil with a splash of sea salt. Then. Because I’m old, I spend the next three hours pulling the little husky things our of my teeth….”can’t have nothin'”…but…I do it anyway! Cyber hugs Dr. B!

  • Non-GMO is for people that are afraid of everything in life, and cower in fear. The air you breathe is FILLED with so many different pollutants and chemicals its mind blowing, yet you people are worried about what some chemicals in your food might or WILL not do to you? You realize the tests they do with GMO things are to rats, and they stuff them FULL of chemicals, 500 times more then any person or animal should ever take in any life time, and see some result, then post it. You people drink that up like its gospel. This is also why more kids get sick and die, cause you wont get them vaccinated! Just stop.

  • Popcorn is superior snack. It’s versatile. It’s flavourful.
I’m struggling to stay on my keto diet due to my undying love for popcorn and NO! You Cannot substitute it with pork rinds or sea weed chips.
    Popcorn is Popcorn!

  • I never thought about this question. I love movie theatre tasting popcorn but hardly ever eat it bbecause it is corn. Corn should not be consumed on the keto life style change.

  • Indie Game Recomendations:
*Note that I am not rating them here. I just wrote them as I remembered what I’ve played in the recent years.

    1) Anything and everything from Supergiant Games ( Transistor, Pyre, Bastion)
Exeptional games with brilliant stories and engaging gameplay.

    2) Undertale by Toby Fox
Game that takes a lot of inspiration from Mother and Earthbound (which of both are also incredibly good and deserve a play). Very deep and emotional story with a cool spin on a traditional RPG turn-based combat system.

    3) Lisa the Painful -> Lisa the Joyful
2 very dark games about a world gone to crap. Traditional pixelated RPG with turn based combat. It’s biggest pro in my oppinion is it’s dark atmosphere with even darker humor, and a very emotional redemption story.

    4) Darkest Dungeon
If you are masochistic, lmao. But really nothing spells more high risk high reward than this game. If you want to feel the incredible emotional rush of a close victory, or feeling the crushing defeats, then this is game is your choise.

    5) Hat in Time
This one is a 3d platformer-collectoton, self-proclaimed cute-as-heck. This game is phenomenal with it’s visuals, it’s implementation and refinement of stapled mechanics and it’s humor. You’ll be laughing your ass off, I can guarantee at least that.

    6) Cuphead
With the uproar it got I think you know what this is. It is hard and yet incredibly rewarding. It gives the same feeling of fulfilling victory as any of the Dark Souls games, where you die times and times again before you properly memorize the patterns to come out on top. Not for the faint of heart, same as Darkest Dungeon ;^)

    7) Hellblade
Yes, it’s an indie game. Rather short but incredibly deep game, featuring souls-like combat mechanics.

Honorable Mentions (That which I have not played but still think is very good): Owlboy, Crypt of the Necrodancer, Celeste, Spellunky, Hyperlight Drifter, Papers Please.

  • I have always made my own popcorn with olive oil and salt. I taught my daughter to make it as a snack after school.
I am glad that I taught her cooking skills at a young age to avoid the processed kind with nasty ingredients and leeching plastic.

  • Great video and yeah, theater popcorn is insanely bad for you. At the same time, it’s definitely possible to make a healthier version of this snack. We get organic popcorn kernels and pop them in a stovepop popper called a Whirly Pop. We use a blend of grassfed butter and organic avocado oil as the popping medium and we sprinkle the finished popcorn with freshly ground pink Himalayan salt. Yeah, there are carbs but this is a favorite carb cycling / refeed food for us because it’s satisfying and high-fiber. We’ve been Keto for four months and are fat adapted so we “pop” right back into ketosis the next day w/ no keto flu symptoms, etc. We stayed away from this popcorn for the first two months…now we have it once every couple of weeks. It’s one of the things that makes this lifestyle sustainable for us.

  • I feel that the podcast intro hasn’t felt the same since you started telling Megha saying we’re ketoconnect.net sounded weird. The intro just seems forced now. “We’re ketoconnect.net” just seemed to come out more naturally. JS:) Still love y’all.

  • Megha, for meal timing I learned in a health coaching course that 20 minutes is a good goal to strive for for meals to take to eat. I’d recommend focusing on slowing down like you are now, recording the time it takes when you do that and then try to extend by 2 minutes until you get to your desired meal time whether that is 20 minutes or whatever. I love your approach of being mindful of it, your body will guide you to where you are supposed to be.

  • Oof, I feel convicted. I tried keto for about a month last year, and I’ve been keto since the new year. However, I’ve definitely had the “if it fits my macros” mindset without focusing on nutrition. I’m for sure not eating enough leafy greens and nutrient-dense foods. Been leaning toward easy processed stuff too much too… The hardest part for me is the time it takes to cook. But it’s so easy to grab a bag of pepperoni and pork rinds, lol

  • Hi dan I just got off the road now I’m sorry I’m not driving to the ions right after the appointment and I’m at the door right at the piggy real group so I’m going haha haha was an way fun

  • Hey Matt, if you’re trying for something different in a video game, check out Don’t Starve. It’s an indie game where you essentially have to hunt and gather your own food and build shelter and try not to die, but the pace is super casual. Somehow, it feels like it would be right up your alley, lol.

  • So that’s just sad. I have been eating rice cakes for more than a year now, since I replaced any type of bread with them. There are different sorts of rice cakes, mine have only two ingredients: puffed whole-grain rice (94%) and quinoa (6%). The label says they contain protein (8,6 g) and fat (2,5 g). They might be empty carbs or have no nutrients whatsoever, but who cares? I eat them together with food, mostly with vegetables, fruit, cream soups and nut butter. I don’t need nutrients from the rice cakes, because I take them fromm somewhere else. I just need them to accompany my nutrients. But why are they so high on the glicemic index, and why does rice have arsenic, and why is everything so complicated?

  • Rice contains arsenic? Perhaps the one in USA imported from china, Thailand, nog the one in India. There is no doubt that American corporations kill small farms who produce organic food and start producing gmo foods sk yhat people could get sick and make the rich richer through health care scams, while at the same time introducing organic food at 20 times the cost again making profits of it.

  • I love your videos u have literally changed my husband and my life. Down 31lbs total. A great video game is rocket league my plays that everyday.

  • I never thought about this question. I love movie theatre tasting popcorn but hardly ever eat it bbecause it is corn. Corn should not be consumed on the keto life style change.

  • I lost 20 pounds once on popcorn…..weight watchers promoted as much popcorn as u want to eat and lose weight. It worked. This was years ago.

  • Thanks so much for this easy to watch & understand tutorial! I just came back from South Korea & I’m really missing these!!! I hope to make some tteokbokki tonight!

  • Everybody here saying they want this so bad but are actually dying inside from not being able to have a nice slice of chocolate cake

  • Hi Maangchi! Which is more fail-proof, steaming or microwaving? I tried making this before with glutinous rice flour and it turned out too sticky that I couldn’t knead it.

  • Nice video! Thanks, It is possible to make this recipe with the leftover rice from the fermentation of rice wine (chinese homemade style)? thanks

  • Thank you so much this is my favorite korean food but there isn’t even one place to buy it in my home city. You’re so lovely:) liked and subbed!

  • I see everyone struggling in the comments and I can’t believe I just did this recipe for the first time with non glutinous rice flour and the result was exactly like the video
Maybe this is my hidden skill from the gods haha
(Tip: if you’re using dry normal rice flour add more water until you reach the texture you see in the video)

  • We all know that Seth tried one, choked and decided to express how he feels about rice cakes in his show. Like he does with everything else

  • Hi Maangchi! I made a batch of rice cakes yesterday. I couldn’t find anywhere, how long these fresh rice cakes have to simmer when I use them in tteok-bokki? I think I may have let them simmer too long as the texture while still chewy, was very soft. Thank you!

  • I live in the English countryside so there aren’t any Asian stores near me. I’m so glad I found your channel so I can make my own from scratch:)

  • My rice cake is good when I rolled them. But when I cooked it wiyh tteokbokki it crushes smoothly. It doesn’t have the chewy texture

  • I thought Megha was allergic to nuts and that’s why she can’t taste things made of almond flour…but she’s having almond butter? Am I missing something?

  • I feel that the podcast intro hasn’t felt the same since you started telling Megha saying we’re ketoconnect.net sounded weird. The intro just seems forced now. “We’re ketoconnect.net” just seemed to come out more naturally. JS:) Still love y’all.

  • I was eating 3meals and 3 snacks so 6 times a day when i look back i think its crazy before keto now have 3 meal and 1 snack and dont eat past 7 and feel so mych better

  • I wasn’t sure if rice cakes would be for me. My mom said she tried it and she didn’t really like them but after seeing this video I want to go get some and try this recipe out. I hope I like them because it’s such a healthy and easy snack to make. Thanks so much-love the videos!

  • Why no one talks about how that 2 woman in the first clip keeps “mhmm” after almost every bite lmao? straight up makes me uncomfortable.

  • Aren’t you a member of POPsters community? That is soo cool! Keep ’em recipes coming, loving it:)

  • I have a eating disorder and I even eat them because they are low in calories and fit into my calorie intake just don’t eat 2 full bags geez

  • I tried doing a mukbang like a month ago and youtube suspended my account for 3 weeks. They said this type of content goes against the terms of service. I was eating ice cream from dollar general

Just stop.

  • Gave up popcorn a few years ago and then heard Thomas D. advise breaking a fast with an organic rice cake. Now I am hooked on organic rice cakes and then I watch this. Ugh….

  • whoa, whoa, whoa…….. Arsenic is the 20th most abundant substance on the planet!! Organic arsenic IS NOT TOXIC!!! Some nuts have arsenic too… they’re not going to kill you!!!

  • I have always made my own popcorn with olive oil and salt. I taught my daughter to make it as a snack after school.
I am glad that I taught her cooking skills at a young age to avoid the processed kind with nasty ingredients and leeching plastic.

  • “90% of the corn grown and eaten in this country is GMO corn, popcorn comes from a different seed and has not been genetically modified”. Jeffery Smith, executive director of the Institute for Responsible Technology and GMO expert.

  • Hey Megha, did I miss something (probably!) what happened with your almond/tree nut allergy? Are you over it or are you taking something? You mentioned liking the flavored almonds in the Keto Krate, and then eating almond butter… Just wondering…

  • You Dr. Berg and Thomas Delauer are the two most trusted names / YouTube channels of health tips. I wish Dr. Berg you would do a video exclusively for Jews & Muslims who cannot consume some of your products because they are not Kosher / Halal (they may contain pork by-products) and what to do about it. Many past emails & comments already on the subject matter that never gets answered or addressed.

  • It is hard to listen to you because you aren’t in great shape. I’d say you are both average or below average. If thats what all the work of doing Keto produces why would anyone do it?

I took my time on pounding and omg it was like the ones i had in a restaurant Thank you so much Maangchi for your recipe

  • Hi Maangchi!
I love watching on your channel.
I got a store bought korean rice cake and when I open it the rice cakes were all dry and crumbly. When I first tried cooking it it’s a total fail because the rice cakes breaks into pieces… I don’t know what to do. Do we have a way to save or fix those rice cakes? I hope to hear from you. Thanks

  • Popcorn is superior snack. It’s versatile. It’s flavourful.
I’m struggling to stay on my keto diet due to my undying love for popcorn and NO! You Cannot substitute it with pork rinds or sea weed chips.
    Popcorn is Popcorn!

  • I just tried this recipe for the first time with store bought rice flour (dry)! It worked out fine although my dough needed more water! Nonetheless it is soo tasty and definitely cheaper than buying

  • Hello #Maangchi could you please make a new video with the Korean version of making tteok with a steamer, also some youtubers they don’t use the pestle anymore, now they are using the bread machine to make the dough after they steam. Is that possible too?
    xx from Brazil:)

  • re: game suggestions, not sure if this is an indie game, but They Are Billions is pretty fun. Subnautica cool too; there is a VR version as well. I’ve heard Frostpunk is good.

  • I really appreciate your videos. I’m making rice flour from your blog. I’ve soaked the rice and blended it but it isn’t a fine powder and it has granules. What blender or food processor do you use and how long do you blend it for? I have a Hamilton beach 700 watt blender and food processor combo. I have tried using both but to no avail.

  • Hey what do you have?
Rice cakes, never had one but someone told me this is a really good way to start your diet

  • Lundberg Family Farms’s dry puffed rice have salt as a ingredient. 98% puffed rice and 2% salt. MaraNatha’s almond butter have dairy and milk as other ingredients. Chobani is thick contanimented milk by “Lactic Acid” bacterias. Honey came from bees’s others and spit.
