If you weight it out already cooked then for sure you know what you’re eating is what your eating because it’s already cooked and you don’t need to cook it again and lose nutrients.

  • Are you sure that the macros you used were accurate? I would think that the macronutrient content would change very little if at all. Like someone mentioned earlier I don’t think you can cook the protein out of something, maybe a little of the fat.

  • The only bad thing is you also included the ounces of your bowl. I use a digital scale and zero the weight of the plate before adding the food so I get an accurate measurement. Just a thought!

  • I think you should calculate raw. Because that’s what you are eating. The meat shrinks but that is still the amount of meat it took to make the amount it did. It’s the same with adding oil. Alot of the oil burns off. But you still add the amount you used to begin with to your macro calculations for the day.

    Also, I think what’s important to know is how the orgs who created the macros factored in cooked cooked macros vs. uncooked.

    I do CrossFit 6 times a week, and my trainer said i need that amount of protein a day in order to reach my goal ( losing weight ).
