The research, published in the journal Oxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity, found those who drank low-fat milk had longer telomeres (and less biological aging) than those who drank high-fat milk, including 2% and whole milk. Tucker equates the difference to an additional four-and-a-half years of cellular aging. The Scary New Science That Shows Milk Is Bad For You An eight-ounce cup of low-fat milk has 300 Nutrition late last year concluded that “high intakes of dairy products may increase. In summary, dairy consumption does not seem to significantly increase the risk of cardiovascular disease, particularly if low-fat, and more research is needed for full-fat dairy products. Discussion Milk provides a package of essential nutrients that are difficult to obtain in low-dairy or dairy.

Although more research needs to be done to determine if the USDA guidelines should be modified in the future, what we do know is that whole and low-fat dairy can be part of a healthy diet. Here at Cooking Light, we prefer to use full-fat dairy and stretch it wisely in our recipes for maximal taste, texture, and nutritional benefit. Milk’s added and natural hormones may interact with human hormones, pro-inflammatory factors or high glycaemic index have all been investigated as potential initiators of acne. Experimenting with your diet by eliminating dairy is worth trying.

Start by reducing skim milk, low-fat and whole milk to see whether your skin improves. Studies show that full-fat dairy not only doesn’t contribute to obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease, it may even help prevent them. Low-fat dairy has long been believed to be healthier than full fat dairy. Even though there has been variation within the marketplace, the overall value of milk components has risen in the past decade.

Milk fat and protein are the principal drivers of prices paid to dairy producers. Plus, research shows greater net income from a 5 percent increase in milk fat or protein versus a 5 percent increase in milk yield. Science Says Low-Fat Dairy Milk May Increase Longevity. Drinking cow’s milk is a great way to add protein to your diet and build strong teeth and bones.

It has also been linked with a reduced risk of heart disease and stroke and lower rates of obesity. Drinking milk can lessen the chances of dying from illnesses such as coronary heart disease (CHD) and stroke by up to 15-20% according to new research. In recent times milk. Despite the popularity of low-fat milk, there has been little research into whether it offers any health benefits over the full-fat variety.

Recent studies have hinted that some saturated fats may.

  • I eat under 1300 calories everyday…I stuff myself with 3 to 4 pounds of natural whole fruits, vegetables, starches, beans, legumes, nuts and seeds…I get the most nutrition out of my food. It’s the refined calorie rich and processed (CRAP) food that keeps people addicted to excessive salty sweet or fatty tastes via salt sugar and oil. Don’t let your future involve being fat and sick!

  • Swallowing ibuprofen…… what if headache is unbearable or pms is horrible what are we supposed to do……????????? How realistic is it?

  • I use planty of olives with salads in stead of olive oil.
Omega3 from broken flax seed is much better than from fish which has also lots of cholesterol, saturated fats and sea pollution (mercury!!!)

  • vegetarian diet gave me psoriasis. The carbohydrates I had eaten gave me insulin resistance and all complications that derive from it. Now on Keto I got rid of all ailments. I’m not saying to eat meat but dairy, seafood and eggs are a must. Veganism is a diet of deficiency so one must take a lot of supplements that shows that is not beneficial for humans. I need no supplements on Keto and that says it all. It also lacks bio availability and the right amounts of: 1) Pre-formed Omega-3 Fatty Acids DHA and EPA

    2) Vitamin B12

  • I’ve read that the statin study mentioned was flawed and heavily biased. Other reviews show greater reductions in all cause mortally.

  • Carnivore Diet, nutrient dense. Yeah Baby! Plenty of color Red! Primal urge, eat Meat! Don’t need no Stinkin Fiber! Weight down, Strength Up. Morning Wood! Amen! Whose the man!? Shawn Baker is the Man!

  • Life and death are in the power of your tongue…as in the words you speak. This is the danger of someone who has some education, some knowledge, and a whole lot of overconfidence in her own intelligence.

  • Foods like these (that you mention in the video!) have medicinal properties. So important to aim for organic, GMO-free and clean foods. when you eat conventionally grown foods, you’re also ingesting toxins (including pesticides) added to them in the production process, or from environmental pollution. Many of these toxins cause an invader-fighting response from your white blood cells, which contributes to inflammation!

  • I’m a keto/low carb recipe creator and I love doing so coz I believe in it and eat like this every day and wouldn’t change it for anything in the world

  • She claims that animal husbandry damages the environment and plant-based diets are better. Has she considered how damaging growing crops is? Farmer mow and plow up 100s of acres of natural growth, insect domains and animal habitats then plant a single plant species. Then, since the biome balance is severely compromised, they have to add nutrients, insecticides, herbicides, water and who knows what else to keep the single crop alive. Surely this is not correct?
I also disagree with cruel animal farming battery techniques, and feeding animals hormones and antibiotics, but actually properly-farmed, free-range, pasture-fed animals live a happy life and provide the nutrients we can’t get from a pure plant diet. That animal husbandry releases methane etc has also been shown to be a red herring.

  • With all the pollution in the oceans, the antibiotics, and growth hormones, and saturated fat, cholesterol, in a little bit of meat be good for us?

  • Thank you for this, especially the section on seed oils and Omega 3/6 at the end. We are carnivore and don’t consume seed oil, but we can’t afford grass fed beef. I have been taking fish oil supplements, and my husband needs to, but he said he gets heartburn from it and burps up fish. No matter the kind. But he especially needs ALA because of his Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome (on top of taking his “mitrochondrial cocktail” of amitriptyline, CoQ10 and L-Carnitine). I will show him this to show him the important of Omega 3. We will have to figure out a way to get it in him.

  • ….and remember the good coconut oil(a good saturated fat). I have improved my cognitive properties and I notice it is a very good anti-inflamatory in my fingers

  • I too was obsessed with how primitive man once lived. Read everything I could get my hands on too. My conclusions were ancient humans (and hunter gatherer tribes today) eat a diet that is roughly 50% raw or slightly cooked plants, and 50% cooked animals.

  • Dear ted.
I supprised with this video idea. Basically she said we should eat only vegetable and all of human is almost same in dna. Mean we will get same effect from this diet. But i found 2 other video
1: what is the best diet for humans by eran segal
2: your gut microbiome: by erika ebbel angle
Both of them telling me what make more sense. That everybody with different gut microbiome so they will have different responses to food. And there would be no such thing as best diet for human or ideal diet. This video is wrong!!!

  • True Human dna origin diet is mostly Tropical fruits like 100% fruit if you have access quality fruit and no shortage..:) You need fruit varieties adapted to human dna.. some fruit varieties are adapted to birds. Pure-love energy without external dependency (external waiting) Respect creation freedom of each:) TY

  • Hang on! So according to you, humans who migrated from African rainforests to the savannahs hunted animals for political and social purposes too. Animal food had no impact on their evolution at all? They spent all that energy and time that could be spent on searching for food in a time period when survival mainly depended on not starving??? I am a political scientists with some knowledge on sociology but this is a ground breaking theory I heard for the first time. I am so glad that you’ve beaten cancer and are cancer free but don’t twist reality to justify your argument. Eat whatever you want to eat. Feed your kids whatever you want to feed but don’t twist reality.

In this 21st Century of corporate-sponsored TV and media advertising to simply distract our attention far away from living close to Mother Nature as our forefather ancestors have enjoyed for millions of years is the true challenge that we all face today. Aside from the food industry deception of practice, we have another financial ugly head to deal with that does great damage to everyone’s immune system the foundation of every person’s health that you can read below.

Yes, it is so important to eat right to live right to manage and to find the cause of your named diseased condition and not to simply address symptoms and to demonize symptoms and to financially profit of one’s symptoms. To do this is outright fraud unethical and immoral and flies in the face of true healing therapies that humanity traditionally enjoyed historically for 5,000 years of our history. Namely TCM Traditional Chinese Medicine of China and Ayurveda Medicine of India. This includes the indigenous folk herbal remedies much of it lost in our historical archives but a few are practised today but largely ignored by the programed world population perpetuated by the stock market share portfolios that need to see financial gains and growth from such industries that do not have your best interest in mind.

So yes it is so “TRUE THAT FOOD IS YOUR MEDICINE “! That is if we can find such foods today enjoyed by our forefathers of 100 years ago and longer. When we lost our original fertile topsoil to synthetic high nitrogen fertilizers throughout the world then this was the nutritional downfall of human health as we know of it today. So aside from the modern-day food issue problems, you must deal now with the following key factors that threaten the health of all people worldwide today as follows.

“One of the main reasons that Allopathic Symptom-based drug medicine is not working today or ever is for the following points.

1As you can see in this photo that no 2 people are the same.

2Everyone has a different intestinal bacterial biome in their intestinal tract.

3-Everyone has a different constitution and resilience from genetics and lifestyle including years of building or breaking down bodily organs and functions.

3-Everyone has a different constitution and resilience from genetics and lifestyle including years of building or breaking down bodily organs and functions. organs bones tissue everything will change every 7 years of rejuvenation all independently individual to each person.

5The FDA does not test for efficacy and only for toxicity to the human body. And no multiple testing is conducted with multiple levels of drug intake. Many people are subscribed up to 11 different drugs. And no testing is performed for this so it is all a guessing game

6The longest living people today do not see MD Doctors and do not have any need for taking big pharma drugs and or supplements either as lifestyle and food is their medicine.

7We do not live with a deficiency of a drug.

  • Any one tried the Custokebon Secrets (look on google search engine)? I have heard numerous amazing things about this popular weight loss system.

  • Her at the end talks about her beef with mixed added vegetables is way off
She has plenty of voids and doesn’t mention enzymes,,, Raw plant foods
80% alkali, 20% acid,,, Throw the chocolate out,,, 1 egg and 3 ounces of fish and that’s your acid
Eat small meals and many of them
Just stay away from white flour and sugar,,,, Don’t cook anything but egg and fish

  • I’m newly transitioned. I wish everyone would see the cruelty the animals go through. Living in their own filthsick and filled with infected pus. But pumped with antibiotic medication to ride of the infections. It’s truly discussing. And I used to be hardcore keto/carnivore. I can’t believe I ate that much meat, dairy, and eggs.

  • My cooworker laughed when I told them I was going to reduce weight with just implementing Custokebon Secrets, but after I showed them great effects after I used it they are begging me to tell them about it. Of course I won’t tell them the detail about this diet plan, hahaha

  • Thank you, Dr Mason, good sense… 1979 a significant year and the 1980s for me as a mother of children, now a grandmother at last knowing the truth.

  • I don,t think savan and Amazon forests are vegetable gardens at that time. Humans started eating more plant based food after starting agriculture cooking only. 10000 years out of 1million years. Leave the vegans at Amazon jungle without cooking facility. How many days they survive.

  • I’m not understanding why you people think she’s giving bad advice. She obviously doesn’t practice what she preaches, but her advice is good. Not everyone can go completely meat free

  • There are several suggestions for looking younger quickly
eat a good selection of fruits, whole grains, and vegetables
Do exercises instead of watching TV
    Use Sunscreen.
    Try to reduce stress.
(I learned these and why they work from Daijon Youth Plan website )

  • Sorry, but far too many cliches. “Mediterranean diet” Crete and Sardinia are Now among the most obese with rampant CVD! The source of the Med diet focus was sourced only immediately after WW2! Lawrence Rudel has done LOTS of extended studies of the so-called Med Diet where health is attributed to the Vegies and fruit, NOT Olive oil, which contributes to endothelial inflammation and the monounsaturated fat contributes to endothelial inflammation and the development of CVD at EXACTLY THE SAME RATE as Sat fats. The veggies offset the damage done by the oil!!!
Again, far too many generalizations and OLD anecdotal evidence.
For current information, check out Caldwell Essesltyn, T. Colin Campbell, John McDougall and the research summaries (that this speaker obviously missed) at

  • You are taking on unproven guesses by people that have no proof of therir assertions, almost as if you are taking on the received wisdom regarding food that you have found yourself fighting against.

  • If you’re going to consider a Paleo diet than vegan is not the way. Meat was the the staple of the diet. Grain is not good for you.

  • This lady is okay but she’s got some problems. All that education to realize a plant based diet is healthy? But she did cure her cancer, so has some creds.

  • You lost me at macro evolution. If we evolved from a common ancestor to apes, then apes should be the MOST similar to us in brain function. They are NOT. Parrots are the only animals that can speak and they have the part of the brain that processes speech like humans do. But guess who does NOT have that in their brainapes, gorillas, chimps and monkeys (our SUPPOSEDLY closest ancestors). It is a big crock of horse manure. Do some research on the intelligence of parrots and then go to the zoo and watch the apes beat their chest all day and nothing more and then use the brain that the Creator of the universe (Yahweh) gave you. Are animals amazing? yes! Are we related to them? NO. We are created in the image of an amazing intelligent, artistic Creator. Have a nice day:-)

  • I wonder why so many people are still complaining of cancer, well most people haven’t be lucky enough to meet with a helper. I was very lucky to meet with Dr abumere he is a herbal healer I saw a testimony on how he has been helping people get cured from all forms of cancer I was having cancer for 2years I tried all i could to get rid of it but there where no result. I was online and I saw a comment of how the same Dr abumere help someone cured HIV/AID so i decided to contact him if he can help me. We discussed and he gave me his herbal mixture. 1 week after taking the herbal mixture I began to see changes finally am cured from cancer. You too can be cured from any form of cancer, so contact him with his email  [email protected] Whatsapp +2349021975055. Your faith will only determine.

  • she actually looks sick to be frank, that 0.1 % DNA is what distinguishes us from other humans and thats where our specific needs for different food comes from. same food, same treatment, same medicine never works for everyone. so does veganism for her information.

  • Many Montagnard live longevity I know they work hard on the field plants their own vegetables also they eat a lot wild vegetables from forest…drink water from mountain, laugh, sleep well, happy all the time…they didn’t have car or motorcycle they walked every day from village to their field.

  • Unfortunately, being Type 2 Diabetic, I can’t use this. Way too many carbs and sugar to eat only grains, fruits, and vegetables…, especially especially the grains and most fruits. Maybe i’ll just move to Alaska and eat fish and blubber.

  • This is so bogus. I guess since we all eat the same diary is great, I’m not lactose intolerant after all. And peanut allergies? I don’t have those so I guess those don’t exist either.

  • Don’t believe everything this man says. Just watched an guy criticze him for no sientific prove in what he says. He’s preaching bullshit.

  • Kissing is exchanging microbiomes and checks compatibility!.. amazing microbiomes connection to cardiac problems, arthritis, dementia, Alzheimer’s, autism.. wow! Amazing mentor who gave reverse enema of his students poop to patients who got better immediately.

  • so many misinformation regarding evolution, food habit history,no evidence of wheat history, first human dont know about agriculture, they just hunt animal and eat but there was no transportation and chair and sofa, bunk bed, lots exercise and fighting fear evolved strength body and mind, they dont eat frequently like us,they got animals after long time fast moving behind animal, then extreme hunger and finally eat may be after long hrs so naturally intermittent fasting also,so very very good digestion, if yr digestion good everything good

  • spoons, cups, portions…………the world is on the decimal system for so many decades. How can a university come up with such a clumsy measuring ways? I am in Europe, all those recommendations leave me totally puzzled about how much is actually meant. (haha at least mention your cupsize with it 😉

  • This stuff sounds really interesting and I want to believe it but I’ve noticed this guy is a sports medicine specialist and not a nutritional research specialist? You would think that if everything he says is 100 percent true then wouldn’t all of medicine be adopting keto diets? Also I read an article on the Hadza people who are a group of hunter gatherer people who still live their traditional life style and are thought live were they think the first humans came from. Now if you look at their diet they eat lots of sugar from fruits, plants and even honey? and yes they do eat lots of meat too but they still eat lots of fruit? I think their is something to keto but I think its more that people used to have to exercise for ever calorie they obtained and they probably were in and out of keto more often. what does anyone else think?

  • Nutritional yeast? How can yeast be nutritional? Yeah it’s nutritional alright….for the fungus (candida) that lives in your microbiota.

  • I have been bone on bone in right knee for over 10 years, and now do not need painkillers to sleep or go about my daily activities like yoga, etc. If I violate the food guidelines, like eat two slices of pizza, or 3 pieces of sugary fruit, then in about 5 hours it feels like somebody is picking at the bone on bone spot with tweezers, inside my knee, and also the pain level goes up to about a 5 from less than a 1. I do also take many supplements, and the one that helps the most is UCII. But no supplement will prevent the impact of eating high glycemic foods. My suspicion is that this applies to many other people, but they do not realize that the foods they are eating are the direct cause of so much pain.
Marcel Karperien, of the Netherlands, is leading a group that has a hydrogel that is testing well in horses to replace the cartilage: “The product, which consists of a hydrogel, is almost ready for human use. Since last year, it has extensively been tested on horses, because the intervention by means of keyhole surgery on these animals hardly differs from the intervention on humans. Furthermore, the gel will also be used in veterinary medicine for the treatment of osteoarthritis in pets.Karperien says that the results from these animal studies are so promising that testing on humans may start as early as the second half of 2018.”
There may be updates on the progress more recent than the 2017 publication I came across (

  • Fabulous speaker. Thanks for the upload.

Is there any way UC can please delete spam comments trying to sell unaffiliated products? It would be great. I forward your videos to my grand parents and older relatives, but I don’t want them misled or confused by third party comments. Thank you

  • I have chronic migraines and spinal condition that causes back pain. I take probably 6 to 9 ibuprofens a day. I don’t like stronger drugs, so what can I take for pain the won’t mess up my gut?

  • The sharing of meat by hunter gatherers is epic. She’s accepting some very questionable science.

Just eat less meat and stuff out of boxes. Around the world you can find people thriving on most imaginable diets. Just not junkfood.

  • Eat natural foods like vegetables meat and fish its when you start eating processed food you get the problem I know quite a few vegetarian people and they look sick just as a person eating junk food from Macdonalds

  • The most effective anti inflammatory diet is a whole food plant based diet. The healthiest fats are not from oil, but from avocados, nuts and seeds.

  • Go vegan plant base is the healthiest way to go if you care about your health and how you look. If not eat meat dairy even in moderation cause disease avoid meat and dairy and processes food make it a lifestyle. Not diet you would gain the weight back if you eat meat and dairy and processes food.

  • I often read that ALA is essential, but then I read it’s barely converted to EPA or DHA. What are the effects we need to consume it for that dietary EPA and DHA don’t themselves cause? Please, before answering, check that the effects are not also caused by eating EPA and/or DHA.

  • 9 vegetable servings per day! Let’s be practical, who besides a nutritionist in an elderly home has the time, patience and available attention to implement that? That’s the best case I’ve heard for dietary supplements. Two pieces of criticism: 1) no mention of coconut oil and medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) oils and 2) could have stressed the inflammatory property of most carbs leaving the impression that whole wheat and beans may be a perfectly safe source of energy and protein, which I don’t believe.

  • The biggest problem by far in my personal humble opinion is STRESS, How to reduce stress is the most difficult thing we face by far

  • WFBP and sugarfree since oktober 2018 and lost 20 kilo’s. My metabolic age went to 23 years, while I am 38 years old. So much energy that I sport 3 times a week.

  • 23:37: the body needs the enzymes, minerals, and microbes from aged “spoiled” and sprouted vegetables…. not preservatives and gmo frankenfoods.

  • Isaiah 65:20 No child will die in infancy; everyone will live a very long life. Anyone a hundred years old will be considered young, and to die younger than that will be considered a curse. Also John 3:15, 1John 5: 11,13, John17;3 all promise ETERNAL LIFE for believers in Jesus.
Acts 2: 38 Repent & be water baptized for the forgiveness of sins (in thought, word and deed ) and for the gift of Holy Spirit.
Mark 16:16 The person who believes and is baptized is saved ; the person who believes not is condemned.

  • What study did she cite for the protein requirements? We do not require.49 grams of protein per pound of body weight. It’s.3855 grams of protein per lb of lean mass( body weight minus total fat mass). Terrible and wrong information.

  • HAHAH which American is below 1800 Cals? maybe she is, but for a normal American, who needs some health fasting for 7 days for autophagy, weightloss and against cancer. Then they should switch to healthy whole food maybe even mostly plant based diet with moderate sport.

  • Interesting. Nice lady. Yes the less you eat the better off you will be. Here’s the thing: the standard American diet is so bad and heavy with fructose and manufactured seed oils, almost anything is better.

  • association doesn’t mean causality. the fact that those 105 year old people have a certain microbiome doesn’t mean that’s the cause (i’m not saying that microbiome isn’t important, there’s certainly associations ot diseases with certain diseases or aging, but the “signatures” aren’t yet known). besides, he didn’t answer to the question “what is health” in a general way, he went directly to discussing sing the gut. i liked what he said about cholesterol though (where funny enough he says association is not causation)

  • ahaha, MILK…. ok, retarted info…. the ratio of calcium to magnesium is out of proportion, it is acid and will leech calcium from your bones…. plus for of cancer promoting hormones…

Extensive, great resources. Can usually pick up a used copy on for just a few bucks plus shipping.

  • Waste of my time..not a very informative vl only confuse u.. lots f history of clear cut diet instructions

  • The eight glasses of water a day was part of some marketing campaign. So was the 10,000 steps a day, which is approximately five miles. That contradicts the five minutes per hour the speaker said was optimal.

  • URGENT…..Thanks for your enlightening videos on Lectins etc…….can I ask if Dr Brewer is correct in his video ( ) when he says that when you have high triglycerides your body and eat a lot of sugar/carbs, at the point when your blood has insulin in it, your body cannot deal with the fat and so the triglycerides get transferred into HDL molecules which then turns the HDL into LDL explaining why HDL is low when triglycerides are high and cant be dealt with due to insulin being present. Also in the video he says that when there are high triglyceride numbers then the SMALL LDL increase and the LARGE dense LDL decrease…… this correct? If so then that explains a lot and may help us understand and thus do something about it!

  • This is just an unsupported assertion and flies in the face of a ton of other evidence. She is simplistic and selective in her quotes and “evidence”.

  • I will make you a longevity wine for 5500$ a year, it should extend your life 10-20 years. It will be made from the highest quality of water, wild plant medicines as ingredients.

  • Daily, I go over list of foods with vit a to zinc to be sure I get my micronutrients from real food (unrefined, unprocessed, containing fiber/water) and not rely on vitamin tablets which are missing thousands of micronutrients. I keep animal foods like meat, dairy, egg, seafood to a minimum or zero bec these are bad for health. I take vit b12 supplement to get my vit b12. For vit d, sunlight or brands of white mushrooms with vit d listed on the nutrition label. I like to eat natto for vit k2.

  • Your credibility went out the window the moment you mentioned that we should have some animal products (chicken and dairy).Watch Forks oever Knives and What the Health. This might change your opinion and stop you from offering bad advice. ]Bye Bye.

  • After seeing a periodontist for years and doing the flossing and cleaning they recommended my husband showed up at a regularly scheduled visit after just one month on the ketogenic diet. They were astounded at the condition of his mouth and gums. They even admitted to knowing that such a change in diet is great for dental health. Seems to me it’s inflammation (from sugar and carbohydrate) that leads to heart disease, not whether you floss your teeth or not.

  • He has no clue what he is talking about. He was a surgeon trained to do bypass surgery. He has no education in preventing disease. He has read some facts and created his own theory based on no evidence. All civilization have started around grains without grains humans will not be humans and there will not be a difference between humans and apes. His mantra is to eat grass fed beef soaked in olive oil. Too good to be true.

  • Her belief seems to be largely based on Prof John D. Speth’s theory ( 8:25 ).
It seems unlikely the calories found to sustain an entire tribe can be found in edible vegetation throughout the savanna.
Back then grains & fruits would have been vastly different to the modern plant foods we eat today, higher anti-nutrients, worse taste, undesirable textures etc. The theory that animal fats and bone marrow (much greater sources of energy and undeniably tasty) fueled our energy-intensive evolutionary process seems far more feasible in my opinion.
When conducting your own “research” you are more likely to carry a bias, and exclude common sense. I think that is what we’re watching here.

  • Why was less fat kids when I was Growing up. I Believe we played Outside More most Farmers used less steroids Pesticides and no Antibiotics.

  • Like most of you guys here, I searched and searched and searched. I found the Dr. Amen-Ra diet one day. I didn’t believe it at first. How could you live that kind of way? How could you abstain yourself from all the ‘pleasures’ you can experience from eating etc.?

I follow the diet for some time now. I feel better then ever. Seriously. I don’t want to go back to my old lifestyle. Only eating vegetables, fruits, starches and nuts have changed not only how I feel but also how I view the world today. It made me grateful for what I have and I only eat/use what I need, nothing more ;). I haven’t felt particulary bad for a long time. When I was still in my old lifestyle I would game a lot, eat a lot, and just feel miserable EVERY day. The positive effects outweigh greatly the only negative effect you could experience, and that is hunger.

There is one thing that I have realised, comfort makes the human weak. Not only your body but also your mind. This diet has changed pretty much everything in my life.

BTW, if you say: ‘I can’t do this’. You can. Believe me, you can. I am 17 myself and even I can do this.

If someone wants to know anything regarding this subject, you can reply and I will try to anwser asap 😉

  • Eat of what is good n halal for u. Eat in moderation. Fast in Ramadan. Or the Monday n Thursday, intermittent fast if u can. All diseases originate from the gut.

  • Get off of Facebook. We all should rally off of Facebook. Its the government’s number one watchdog. That is why they are always a step ahead and we wonder why!

  • Well rounded presentation, for general consumption. If America can do this, then we would see an end of obesity. Modern industrial farming and the chemical industry have processed out most nutrients and omega 3 fats. Case in point: The 20th Century Invented the “Refined-Carbohydrate Disease”. References to “The Saccharine Disease” started in 1956. In the 1960 Just after WWII, the first warning were being reported in the news about the “Refined-Carbohydrate Disease.” Interestingly, in the 1930’s, food scientists realized that refined grains were not providing enough nutrients. Consumers, particularly children, were developing symptoms of malnutrition. Thus, grain enrichment and fortification became standard. (Irony 1) 70 Going On 100.

  • I do keto/carnivore OMAD diet… I’ll stand toe to toe with any vegan in fitness and blood tests…. Sugar and carbs are the enemy…. Meat, butter, healthy fats, vegetables…. But it’s your choice… We all seem to have people brainwash us and I might be the same… Try and go with what works for you…

  • So, ALLLLL those hunters for millions of years ate the wrong food?????? OK, you lady make so much sense. What did they not have or very little??? Fruits as you can buy them at the grocery stores (altered from original natural state) and CARBOHYDRATES. Maybe you should stop eating that to stop “GROWING”. Such lies, such FAKE information.

  • Been on keto for one year, lost a load of weight, my doctor said to me yesterday my cholesterol is very high, do I need to worry? Thanks

  • OK, so this was ten years ago and it was all on a low fat diet and drug company concerned so I would like to know what happened because I don’t believe it and would have a hard time believing a low fat diet would help anyone.

  • So what he is saying, is that peanuts is not good as well as nightshades veggies. But I don’t know what all of the nightshades vegetables are. He is also saying Metformin is good? But I have heard that Metformin was very bad for your body! Dr Mercola said that Berberine, which is the natural form of Metformin is very good for your body. He says it makes you younger. Omg! My son ‘s doctor is trying to talk him into getting fecal bacteria transplant. He has Crohn’s disease.

  • Interesting scientific info on the aging process. I have info more food based on how to live a longer, healthy life. As an ayurvedic practitioner, I have seen first hand how powerfully food choices affect the quality of our lives. Stop by when you can!

  • We’re no longer on blood thinner and statins for almost 2 years.
We ditched the table salt and Canola and switched to Himalayan salt and virgin coconut oil. Supplemented with magnesium glycinate, Omega 3 fish oil, Vit. C, and avoiding processed food. We avoid eating out as much as we can as well.

  • 48:57 Periodontal disease is a SYMPTOM of inflammation (i.e. hyperinsulinemia) NOT the cause. Resolve the root issue (too many carbs) and periodontal problems and cavities dissipate.

  • so…. where do I ask my Doc to send my bloods to test for a full ratio of LDL’s (was it the Lipidal Electro Frescis????) to find out if I indeed need to up my game or if I’m good to go???? I’m in the ACT.

  • Nutrition is the most important part of slowing down the aging process and aging gracefully. Maximizing health and energy by eating right and exercising is the link to staying younger and healthier.

  • Some old info here: Vit D latest is..Get yours checked, unless you live in the south and walk on the beach with exposed skin… you are deficient. Studies have shown it could require 25,000 I.U daily or more, to build you back up. 10,000 daily is fine. 4,0000 daily would be a Minimum if you aren’t deficient. You get about 45,000 i.u from a day at the beach. Don’t take calcium unless you know you’re deficient in your foods. And Always take D and K (I use MK7) for directing food based calcium into the bones and not into arteries and heart.

  • New channel here. I post Fitness, Health & Longevity studies. That’s all I do. just posting these for you guys to enjoy.

  • Walter Kempner, MD healed the diseases that are killing us now. Human beings, not mice
The speaker needs to offer valid dada to save lives. It’s the Standard American Diet, scientist call it ‘SAD’ it’s all fat. All these ridiculous studies, it’s the food. The Japanese prove this with their rice, veggies, a little bit of fish. When they move to the USA, THEY DIE FROM THE SAME DISEASE. You are to complicated. It’s the food.

  • Have a look at   An organic whole food plant based diet with each home having an edible wild crafted garden through out the year. • The focus on religious groups and the missing of the real connection..oneness..of meditation, is tragic. don’t you realize ego is dark

  • Amazing presentation. I am a researcher and wanted to know more about Dr. Hughes’ work. It was sad to find she passed away in June 2015 from cancer. As I thought she looked too young to retire, I could imagine that she was already diagnosed with cancer at the time of this presentation. Knowing this made her passionate sharing of information leading to healthy living priceless. RIP Ellen.

  • Relax! I can make everybody Absolutely Healthy and Immortal right away Immortality already is not a problem at all We humans can stop aging (by wiping out all diseases) and live forever (like our Creators from the planet of Nibiru The Anunnaki) I got the key to our Biological Immortality By staying absolutely healthy all the time By doing my discovery (just an exercise for a minute a day) My WVCD The Weapon of Virus and Cancer Destruction, that cures and prevents any diseases, known on Earth for millions of years, even radiation disease I will describe my WVCD to everyone, who sends me a check for one million bucks Everybody will stay absolutely healthy all the time, living their Endless Lives, for Infinite Health = Immortality.

  • I have eaten 5 or more large egg yolks, one small can of sardines and low carb every day for 5 years. Now, I am 66 years old, with low but normal blood pressure, and with healthy weight.

  • Umm another whole grains lie. Whole grains and starchy plants increase insulin levels and foster metabolic syndrome and obesity. Right there she lost me. Humans ate animals vegetables and plants were rather rare findings. Carbs is the only non essential macro nutrient. Humans need protein to live period, contemporary and modern man! Funny enogh since hyperglycemia state increases cancer risk with glycated and oxidized LDL. Limit carbs specially sugar, eat plenty of meat and a few plants and vegetables for vitamins. There it is!

  • I’m sorry, your audience asks questions off topic, asking for sources is rude during the presentation as well.  Who are these people?

  • In addition to nutrition, exercise and lifestyle, Dr Hughes could learn a lot by researching bio-identical hormone replacement methods for anti-aging benefits.

  • How do you explain all the evidence to the contrary and that many pro cholesterol/pro saturated fat studies were industry funded? If what he says is true people need to either eat higher carb with low fat (ie WFPB diets which reverse heart disease as well) or high fat with low carbs ie. Keto, cannot mix fats and carbs. The type of fat and carb matters too.

  • My thoughts are the point is hunger I was so hungry all my life and my brain telling me to eat all day long until I went to bed. Then I found keto and it took away that thought of hunger all day by being satiated by fat eating in the keto ratios of the diet fixed that and much more. I had high cholesterol but keto fixed that after 3 years I have lost 100 lbs and feel great want to loose 30 pound more but that is a bit harder the last of what I need to loose. I go to a doctor that looked at me funny when I told him i was doing keto he had no idea what it was and told me should not eat that fat…Hmmm i proved him wrong last 2 years my blood work was within all normal levels….Ya Keto, I will keto on. oh and my depression and crazy thoughts in my head stopped talking to me my microbiom has been silenced. Gut is the second brain like that doctor hundreds of years ago said. I know not for everyone but for many could work. I am 58

  • I’m thinking that maybe radical vegans have gotten into the food chain and contaminated the science, because they wanted to make people eat plants only, not animal products, and one way of doing that was to promote carbs.

  • 1:14:00 ten recommendations to promote healthy aging. Watched this in January 2020. Amazing. I haven’t found anything in the literature on aging over the past decade that significantly builds on what was presented in this video 10 years ago.

  • I always make time for the gym like hour and half working on different muscle groups, and focusing on mental health is huge. Thanks for the videos man. Love to be a better version of myself

  • I agree with more leaves fewer seeds. For more micronutrients, my priority food are sprout, green leaf, seaweed, herb, mushroom. For more micronutrients, seeds/nuts, fermented plant food. For more protein, legumes. Excess protein is bad for health and we can thrive on very little protein like the african countries. For omega 3 fat, fish oil, algae oil, flax/chia powder, purslane. For more carb, fruit vegetable, fruit, roots, grain. If I eat fruit, I make sure I exercise to avoid triglycerides.

  • The graph at 11:10 shows higher survival rates for pattern A. Right the opposite of what you said during your talk. Please clearify.

  • Dr Mason, the Cochrane collaboration, an independent body which reviews available data from multiple studies, concludes a 17% reduction in heart attacks or strokes. Could you please comment on this, because you mention that there is no evidence. I’m not a hater, I really want to believe what you say, but I want you to really convince me.

  • Great video about Healthy Ageing!

We’re organizing the Healthy Ageing Conference in Frankfurt, Germany, this upcoming 15th and 16th of November, which will give attendees the latest insights regarding the elderly & medical foods, marketing, sales & brand management, business management, new product development, research & development & food engineering. See our youtube channel for more details!

  • Many people who chronically oversleep do it due to either on ongoing illness, disability, or something that prevents them from having an active lifestyle so obviously they will have a higher mortality rate.

  • How do you design meat taste good? Especially wild game tastes so yummy? Big Food going in the forests and making the venison taste better somehow? Maybe they taste good because that’s what our bodies crave? Maybe because carbs were a quick energy source but VERY rare in the past? And with the abundance of carb foods today we are spiking our insulin literally to death comes? Hmmm…

  • Beautifull and inspiring narrative its time for a revolution to the basic ideal food choices whole food plant based diet goo for the planet and good for us

  • What you are saying only applies to people who don’t have the APOE4 gene. Roughly 30% of the population has at least 1 APOE4 gene, and 5% have 2 copies of the gene. From experience I found that coconut oil and cheese both cause much higher Lp-PLA2 blood levels and much higher cardiac calcium scores. That’s the case for me at least. Because we all have different genes you can’t say that saturated fats are always harmless. That’s a false statement.

  • 10 years paleo(eggs, meat, fish, cheese, veggies, little fruit, all carbs about 500 ccal) high TC and LDL low TG but high blood pressure now. I do not believe this high sat fat is OK now. And why would you consume refined oils at all?

  • I observe everyday people everywhere having difficulties and consequently at this time accepting power over over their unique affairs, you are not going to be in a position to finally become empowered when you find yourself not wishing to make the choice that sets you totally free. The simple truth is the decisions we establish are positively or perhaps unfavourably reinforcing our behaviour and thus our everyday life.

  • My cousin laughed when I told them I was planning to become slimmer with just using Custokebon Secrets, but after I showed these people amazing effects after I used it they are begging me to share with them about it. Of course I won’t let them know the detail about this diet plan, haha

  • So do we only need Protein & Fats to survive? Why are carbs all of a sudden bad for our health? The human body is seemingly a lot more complicated than other animals that we’ve figured out the diet for.

  • great videoTY 4 psting! This is So true and right on. I through genetics, eating little, being active but no exercise regime, if I want to eat an entire cake once a year I will not deprive myself. I have a nice life and am blessed with good health, loving family and friends, and a great husband, etc. Every time I tell people I’m 39 EVERY one of them says no way you’re close to 39 or ask to prove it by leting them see my DL! Guess I’m lucky but I take nothing for granted. I appreciate the video.

  • It is of course possible that LDL has no causative impact on CHD at all but that, with an increase of glycated LDLs and so fewer working LDLS in the bloodstream, the body is no longer able to repair tissues to the same level of efficiency. Going further, Dr. M Kendrick argues that the cholesterol found in the arterial walls is delivered via red blood cells, not LDLs at all.

  • I’ve seen presentations of studies showing/arguing with convincing evidence, for a meat based, carb elimination diet, as well as those arguing with convincing evidence, that peoples have consumed and thrived on starchy potato or rice/high carb diets and both peoples were healthy/disease free.
This presentation by Dr…… where he goes all over the world, and back through history showing that the culprit appears to be the appearance of seed oils, whether consumed directly, or hidden in processed foods, or boldly advertised on the label as good for you, I,e, Butter w/ Canola oil, or meat products from animals fed a grain (seed) diet, etc… all causing omega-6/linoleic acid saturation, makes the most sense to me. So, sounds like; Eat a sensible varied diet, and limit Omega-6,… AND even a sensible varied diet is of little consequence if you are over consuming Omega -6 oils.
But, here is the opposing proclamation of the AHA. Omega-6 fatty acids are a type of polyunsaturated fat found in vegetable oils, nuts and seeds. When eaten in moderation and in place of the saturated fats found in meats and dairy products, omega-6 fatty acids can be good for your heart…
Until more is known, the American Heart Association (AHA) recommends limiting saturated fat intake to 5 to 6 percent of total daily calories. Replacing saturated fats from foods such as meat, butter, cheese and pastries with plant-based foods that contain omega-6 fatty acids, including vegetable oils, nuts and seeds, will help you achieve the AHA recommendations. Well it may be that “more IS known.”

  • I had dry cracked skin on the back of my hands when I didn’t eat saturated fats, the moment I started going back to my high fat breakfast my skin began to look more healthy the next day, I don’t need to moisturize it, I use the state of my skin as a marker, if I’m getting enough saturated fats or not. My skin feels very smooth, flexible and it glows.

  • Great information. Additional resources related to healthy aging are available here:

  • Exceptional presentation. However, Mason seems to have flipped the A and B patterns. Pattern B is the ones that reducing chance of death, at least when heart attacks are concerned. Although that study isn’t very balanced in its group. They differ too widely in age and race.

  • Saturated fats and carbohydrates will be the next ‘flat earth’ and ‘vaccinations cause autism’ debate. Some people won’t be convinced even in the face of overwhelming evidence.

  • The powers that be want us to believe in Darwinism. We didn’t come from primates. Do you believe in aliens? Do you think they came from monkeys?

  • Having sufficient retirement funds to live  through the rest of your life in a peaceful and safe environment. Plan and Spreading your investment in many fields?

  • Unclear what exactly she and her children tend to eat now then in a day or week and which products in which quantities.

…and this also completely doesn’t take into account the very different climates and different fysiological lifestyles with which people (often *have to*) live across the globe. Most humans on the planet today actually don’t have the rught gene mutation to eat animal milk-based products. Areas where people do tend to be colder climates such as Europe and Russia. For me it is obvious why one might need foods with a higher saturation of fats in colder climates. It is also about efficiency.

  • Brilliant. Now help me out: what sources of Omega 3 and how to get enough? I already eat beef (but only a small proportion is grass fed because of cost and availability); I already push my carbs and sugar intake down and have increased fats in other areas. But Omega 3 seems so important that it would be helpful to have some sound information on the application.

  • Saturated fat is bad no matter what you believe. What you believe or think you know is irrelevant. The reality is saturated fat will raise your LDL cholesterol.

  • Thank you. I have your book. I have followed your advice for some time. I eat lots of red meat. I m 85 years old and haven’t been to a doctor a half dozen times in the last 70 years. I have no aches or pains and am on no medications. I am very active and run as another hobby.I have a website. i advocate healthy living.(

  • I already try to follow okinawa diet (lots of vegetables) and vegan diet (micronutrients food, no refined foods like sugar, oil, salt, no processed foods). Doing exercise after every meal and some weight training with cheap door frame pull up bar to help lower blood sugar. Planning on doing more strenuous exercise that can use up glycogen reserve storage in liver/muscles. I learned a lot of new health tips for old people like me.

  • 10:28 — The description completely contradicts the data shown in the graph. I’m not sure where the mistake is, but the survival rate is much lower for pattern A. Is this just a labelling problem somewhere?

  • Why not STOP AGING??

Since we can ONLY live “now”, oppose to yesterday or tomorrow, why not go into trance every morning and also put our DNA into a neutralized state!!

  • 27:28 ‘You don’t need to eat fish (or take fish oil) to get Omega 3. Grassfed beef will do fine.’ 100% grassfed beef, lamb, etc and milk, cream, and butter from 100% grassfed cows (or goats, or sheep, or…) are also good sources of Omega 3 fatty acids.

  • I think Dr. Mason’s interpretation of the survival diagram in the cited paper at 10:22 is totally wrong: the y-axis is labeled with % survival (not mortality, as Dr. Mason says). The x-axis is the time after myocardial infarction in months. Dr. Mason: “After 5 years most people had died.”?????, that’s not what this diagram says. In fact, it says that ca. 88% of the patients with pattern B and 75% with pattern A had survived. The authors of the cited paper write in their conclusion: “Compared with LDL pattern A, pattern B was significantly associated with reduced all-cause and non-CV mortalities with a trend for lower CV mortality after MI, independent of LDL-C and triglycerides.” So their “pattern B” is the healthier one, which is consistent with the diagram. The authors have another publication (Circulation. 2018;134: A19135) with the title: “Small, Dense LDL Has Protective Association for Long-Term Mortality After Myocardial Infarction Compared With Large, Buoyant LDL Particles: Insights From the TRIUMPH Study”. They write in their conclusion: “Contrary to our hypothesis, patients with small, dense LDL have lower long-term mortality after MI than those with large, buoyant LDL particles, irrespective of treatment. Future research is needed to understand this paradoxical finding.” So my conclusion is: Beware of the confirmation bias!!! (I’m prone to it myself.)

  • Perfect!….Every time I found some video more useful than the previous. So now I know, Food Industry and many other industries (which we may not know either ), made us toys of their manipulations.

  • Outstanding presentation. I’ll be watching that a few times until it really sinks in. The most important message for me was that high LDL is only dangerous in the presence of high insulin (insulin resistance). When insulin is high, Apo B100 on the surface of LDL is glycosylated and no longer recognized by the liver for clearance from the bloodstream. When insulin is low, Apo B100 remains unglycosylated and the LDL where it resides is cleared from the bloodstream by the liver. That’s a really important concept to get your arms around. If the liver can’t clear the LDL from the bloodstream, it gets entangled with macrophages in blood vessel walls and begins to cause arteriosclerosis.

  • Consider a low-fat, high-carb diet ( plant based diet and fasting )
Although there’s no firm evidence that any specific foods or nutrients can activate brown fat, it’s interesting to note that radiologists—who want to decrease brown fat activity when doing scans of cancer patients, because the heat generated by activated brown fat

makes it harder to see tumor-related activity—routinely recommend that patients eat a high-fat, low-carb diet before scans, on the grounds that this reduces brown fat activation. This suggests that a low-fat, high-carb diet will boost brown fat activity.

  • I wish you were my doctor! Oh, how I dearly wish for someone with a clear understanding of my diet. There is no one within a 200 mile radius who will even begin to understand my perfectly Keto diet and high cholesterol numbers…They want to put me on statins and I HATE how I feel on statins. No one OUNCE of sugar in any form has passed my lips in over six months. What to do? I asked for NMR with my last blood test and the results came back-my request completely and utterly ignored.

  • Interesting and informative but would have liked someone to ask him about the Lyon diet heart study and PREDIMED sudy which showed a mediterranean diet signficanlty lowered the risk of cardovascular disease.

  • Go to Richard E Ward on Facebook and check out “The Vertical Diet”. It is the End of Obesity. Turns out the answer was given to us long ago by Pavlov and Margret Mead. “For every Conditioned Response there is a Behavior Modification”.

  • I don’t get why it matters if we eat carbs or not. He said that high LDL is bad only when it gets glycated from the carbohydrates we consume.
BUT the body makes glucose through Gluconeogenesis.

So it doesn’t matter if we eat glucose or not, our bodies are going to make glucose ANYWAY. The LDL will become glycated inevitably whether or not we literally eat glucose or not because as mentioned before because of Gluconeogenesis.???

  • Another advise. Life in near areas where trees dense areas, hill, near mountanius areas. Lots of pure oxygen 24 hours. A big ventilationn fan reverse to draw plenty freshm air into your living areas and yr sleeping rooms. Lots of fresh oxygen.

  • “Association of Low Density Lipoprotein Pattern with Mortality after Myocardial Infarction: Insights from the TRIUMPH Study”

In this study, the one that Dr. Paul Mason showed, I was confuse by the graph, so I went looked for it and find it, but in the study says “In patients with MI, presence of type B LDL pattern, as compared with pattern A, was associated with lower risk for all-cause and non-CV mortality independent of LDL-C and triglycerides, and there was a trend for lower risk for CV-mortality.” I’m very confuse

  • The diet that humans and their ancestors have been naturally eating for the last few million years is all wrong. The best diet for humans to eat is a diet that no humans naturally eat.

  • And for anyone interested because it appears that when people watch these presentations that if they dont say GO VEGAN within the first few minutes everything is dismissed she in fact does mention beans, peas and lentils along with nuts and seeds as protein sources at 1:01:49. Shes giving a balanced presentation and one that will be manageable for everyone, including meat eaters. She distinctly states to reduce consumption.

  • At 10:24 “After five years, most people had died. You can see, the mortality here in the group that had the pattern B was almost 90% after five years.” The graph shows survival, not mortality, and survival is better for Pattern B. Mortality is not 100% immediately following a heart attack, and then decreases!

  • 3.5 millions years? Anatomically modern humans as around 200k years old.. there’s no evidence that suggests we evolved from anything, we are exactly the way we were 200 thousand years ago.

  • Thank you so much for this video! It was absolutely powerful. I learned so much and am excited to enhance my immune system through incorporating the tips in his book. Wow!!!

  • 26:37 On the graph comparing the composition of common sources of fat, note that the percentage of Omega 3 shown as the average in butter is for industrial-style dairy farms where cows have little or no access to pasture, and are feed diets high in grains and seeds (especially soy).

The Omega 3 content of the milk of certified organic 100% ‘grassfed’ dairy no grain ever was compared to the Omega 3 content of milk from certified organic dairies in the area that also fed grain & soy. along with pasture access during the growing season. The Omega 3 content of the regular organic milk was significantly higher than what was found in the milk of cows from ‘conventional’ industrial-style farms. The Omega 3 content of the 100% grassfed milk from cows on an all-forage diet was 7 TIMES higher.

Lard, like beef tallow, from hogs fed rations high in grains and other seeds will similarly have higher Omega 6 levels and lower Omega 3 levels than lard, and pork, from swine fed a more natural and varied diet. 50+ years ago, a lot of pork was still being produced on the land, foraging in marginal areas, being moved to grain fields after harvest to clean up the dropped grain, and fed vegetables and fruits that were not in good enough condition to be sold for human food. Milk, skim milk, and whey, where available, was fed to growing and ‘finishing’ pigs, too. Some let the pigs harvest peanut fields themselves. (Some people still find peanuts suitable only to fuel diesel engines and/or as hog feed.)

  • We are very fortunate in the British Isles that most of our cattle are raised on pasture in the traditional way. The climate and terrain is very well-suited for it since most of England is just fields and grassy hills, so during the warmer months cattle spend nearly all of their time eating grass, as do sheep.

In winter, the cows generally don’t prefer to be outside, so they often eat silage (preserved green vegetation, you often see the bales of it in plastic bags in fields) or some other feed (could be corn since it’s cheap). This means in the summer months UK or Irish beef is pretty much guaranteed to be grass fed. In winter it might not technically be “finished” on grass, although it will have spent a lot of its life eating grass.

In the US and South America the cattle ranches are generally cleared land and then they are fed on corn (often mixed with hormones and antibiotics). I personally would never eat beef from America unless it explicitly said it was grass fed.

  • She’s wrong about carbs. Low fat, whole food, plant based diet is the way to wellness and longevity. Looks like she’s carrying a few extra LB’s herself. Just look at the weight and appearance of these doctors before you follow anything. If the doctor doesn’t set the example, don’t listen!

  • Can we hear this guy explain how and why he read the mortality graph completely backwards? His discussion of this graph and its surrounding study sure suggests that he doesn’t really understand what he is talking about.

  • Around 11 min: “A nanometer is a millionth of a meter tiny”. Dr Mason’s second mistake in a minute… hard to still take this guy serious unfortunately.

  • Dear Colleague, at min 11 we can see on the grafics that the survivalratio (y-ax) for pattern A =75% and for pattern B=90%; this means that pattern b has better outcome (also mentionned in the Triumph study); this is contradictionnary from what you said

  • Living in the U.S., what type of lipid profile test do you recommend to get a proper breakdown of LDLs. I have an option of an NMR through LabCorp or the Advanced Cardio IQ from QuestLabs?? Please assist.

  • A nanometer is not “one millionth of a meter” that is called a micron. A nanometer is 1000 times smaller than a micron and is a BILLIONTH of a meter. I am 101% glad he is explaining the benefits of low-carb but after watching a number of his videos I see his talks are peppered with uncertainties, gentle liberties and inaccuracies amongst the the good data, and that is slightly turning me away from his talks. He is excited about his topic without being intimately familiar with it.

  • So why are beans common thread between blue zones? I think this video debunks the lectins idea…

  • Just watched a different TED talk that said, rightly, that there is no ideal diet for humans. Diet is completely personal. It depends on your genetics, gut biome, lifestyle, etc. Every person’s ideal diet is different. Saying that our DNA is mostly the same and therefore our diet should be similar completely ignores our gut biomes which are not largely the same. This talk is overly reductive.

  • Was watching a southpark clip when this ad came on. At first i thought it was a comedy clip, then it started to make sense, then i was confused, so i skipped to the end and seen the scam. Just another weight lose scam. Alot of what he was saying made sence.

  • Duke and Harvard studies say less than 1% of genetics plays a role in health, you are correct, it is environment, their studies post 2010

  • Some quick googling about wheat being sprayed with glyphosate to hasten uniform die-off makes me think its an unverified claim and not commonly practiced at all

  • Since everyone on YT comments threads are trained professionals with years of academia and scientific experience, I am just gonna read the comments, and skip the video.

  • Thank you for a great presentation. Still aging and death are often the only form of justice left in this World. Would substantially extending the human lifespan really be a good thing?

  • Eat animal based, as all the human history for 400 thousand years….
    Ruminant and marin animals…

All plants are man made, poisonous, with anti nutrients.

  • So this was basically vegan propaganda. She made up an argument to say pre-civilization men pratically didn’t eat meat just by saying big hunts were “social rituals” or something. Weak and mistaken. I like plant-based whole foods, but we need animal products since always. Eating meat is not a marginal “lost barbaric habit” (talk about prejudice), grass feed cheese is good for human needs. Check the Blue Zones Ted Talk about the centennaries and what they eat. We don’t need to pretend we don’t need animal products to protect their right to freely pursue their natural life. We can take action against the use of the animals in literally every other area beyond food. Vegan movement have to acknowledge that and act accordingly.

  • My question is we seem to be aware of what we need, and moderation is needed with anything. But we continue to produce tons of products that have what we don’t needs tons of. The grocery stores are are inadated with these foods, check out centers filled with sugary processed foods. The quantity is hugh. Look at the drinking cups.

  • ATTENTION DOCTOR GUNDRY, I HAVE AN IMPORTANT QUESTION: In this video you said that the APPENDIX is vital for storing bacteria to repopulate our gut. Is it possible for me to get STEM CELL TREATMENTS TO REGROW A NEW APPENDIX IF I HAD MY APPENDIX REMOVED? In the alternative is there anything I can add to my diet or change to make up for the loss of my appendix? My home telephone is 1 (360) 335-1322 or my cellular is 1 (253) 226-3741 or please feel free to send me any info to my email addresses: or or

  • So what actually happens with saturated fat in your body when you eat it? For example, carbs generally convert to sugar. Some is stored and some used. What happens to the saturated fat?

  • Kidney stones are possibly caused by medicine that your body cannot process.
The residue hardens in your filter systems. Kidneys gall stones: gall baldder.
Drink more water don’t take blood thinners.
Try getting off meds. For a while.
We did not evolve on medications we currently take for granted.
They were only introduced 50 or so years ago.
Also your stomach acid destroys most of the food you digest before it reaches your intestine.
It cannot leak through unless damage was done by say anal attack.
    Wake up to these grifters.

NEGOTIATE Terms that Suit Both Parties.

  • that was brilliant.

i am studying health science and i have been posting many videos from low carb down under to the online lecture discussion boards

  • 1300 KCAL is too little to get all necessary NUTRIENTS? Wow! Calories and nutrients are two different categories of nutrition. A sufficient amount of key nutrients, excluding calories, are certainly available from food containg even smaller amount of calories.

  • I’m pretty sure oxalates cause veinous clogging…research oxalates and sally norton. Eye opening. Dr. Gun dry put me on the path to better health a couple of years ago when I couldn’t take the pain from arthritis he taught me about lectins and my pain was diminishing but not totally going away… the anti or opposite of lectins are oxalates… which stick to everything in the body causing inflammation and life failure as you become more and more toxic. I’ve had four kidney stone removable surgeries, damaged kidney, fibroids removed uterus, and I was a vegan… YES.. a vegan. The plant paradox…

  • I’m a nutrition education junkie, may have some good information, but I just could not listen to her irritating overuse of the the words “actual” and “actually”!

  • I agree, she does sound like Jamie Lee Curtis weird. Anyway, love the information as I am on a journey for healthy habits for myself and my family. Thanks,

  • What interest me is which is the most dangerous: moderate sugar with high satured fat or moderate sugar with moderate satured fat aka normal diet? does enjoying satured fat come at the cost of glucide in our diet? is keto the only way to enjoy s.fat?

  • We were made in the image of God not from monkeys. We ate plants fruit in the garden of eden. We didn’t start eating killing animals until after leaving the garden. Sugar in dairy spikes glucose levels. I watched forks vs knives last night which promotes plant based diet

  • So right about the fallacy of calorie restriction! I read 2 of these longevity studies and, in a chimpanzee study, the calorie-restricted diet lowered incidence of heart disease, cancer and diabetes, which these chimps regularly have. The ridiculous thing about it was that their regular diet was a combination of wheat, soybeans (with their many anti-nutrients that prevent digestion and nutrient absorption), refined sugar and soybean oil (with its inflammatory omega 6 fat linoleic acid), with a little egg protein. This is utterly different from their diet in the wild, which is 57% fruit and the rest small mammals, insect larvae, earthworms, honey, eggs, and soil. So, of course limiting the intake of wheat, soybeans, sugar and soybean oil would stop the development of heart disease, cancer and diabetes! The other study claimed that calorie restriction in humans increased longevity, but they taught the experimental group exactly what to eat, as well as how many calories to eat. So, you simply can’t say that the results were from calorie restriction alone. Instead, it may have been just from eating completely different, though unidentified, foods, from the usual awful American diet, which is rather like the chimpanzee diet of a lot of soybeans, wheat, sugar and soybean oil! I stopped eating meat when I was 20, and I had very low cholesterol and blood sugar, and never had heart disease, cancer, or diabetes. However, I found that eating a lot of fruits and vegetables and olive oil, rather than meat and meat fat, was very stimulating to my mind, plus I developed gluten and dairy intolerance, and osteopenia. I turned all this around by eating the foods that my ancestors were eating in the 1800’s, basically the traditional Northern European diet. I now eat foods like sourdough rye bread with pork liver pate and fermented beets, raw goat milk and cheese, pea and ham soup, French lettuce soup, seafood, oatmeal and grated raw apple, pea shoots and parsley, and sauerkraut. This is very nourishing food, so I don’t have any need for caffeine, chocolate, wine, or sugar, and I feel stronger and calmer than I have since I was 20, and I’m now 65.

  • Couldn’t listen to the end. The speaker seems very nice and bright but:
-she provides conclusions without citing the supporting evidence or describing the mechanisms from which the conclusions are drawn,
-her speaking style is more soporific than a turkey dinner (I’m a vegetarian, BTW)

  • brother whatever Superfoods u can think of my dad used to eat every book u read my dad read about longevity my dad is ninety-two but I can assure the world if u never read the Holy Quaran and understand that Our Creator of the Heavens and Earth tells us In no UNCERTAIN TERMS that MAN will become like a baby when reaching old age plus He WARNS if he made us live for a thousand years we still will be UNGRATEFUL. I dare each and everyone to read the last TESTAMENT do you know the Quran is the most read book in the world yet the western world reject it outright what a world we live in.

  • I agree with 80% of what was said. Mostly plants yes, I’d cut out the animal products all together. Whole foods plant based so no olive oil, too processed. You get the best omega 3s from algae (where the fishes get theirs)

  • now they are saying proteins and fats are the closest foods to what humans evolved to eat..carbs give no essential vitamins… but without fats and proteins are brain will break down

  • nah people have been eating beans for centuries without problems. gonna trust the wisdom of the people rather than one doctor. also remember cooking methods, fermentation, spices and serving size have a lot to do with it. This doc has partial knowledge

  • We have more doctors like this one, more nurses, more researchers, more specialists, more consultants, more professors, more vegans, more gyms, more osteopaths, more vaccinations, more world renowned disease experts, more science conferences, more aroma-therapists, more high fat diet fads, more low carbohydrate diet fads, more dieticians, more medications, more pescatarians, more keto-warriors, more nutrition supplements, more side effects of medications, more microbiome gurus, more herbal remedies, more deaths from medications and more yoga experts. All thanks to the experts.

Despite these pinnacles of Human endeavour we are the sickest, most medicated and most bedridden we have ever been. The younger populous is getting sick earlier than ever before, despite maternity improvements. It’s obscene. We have more cancer, more childhood obesity, more heart disease, more senility, more adult obesity, more diabetes, more pre-diabetes and we are more disabled than ever before. Life expectancy is falling. Being old is associated with sickness, pill popping and the need for nursing care 24/7 in a jail-house-like building full of strangers all waiting to meet their maker. Disease has won the battle. If disease doesn’t get you now, wait 10 years and it will. The light at the end of the tunnel is getting dimmer by the day. All thanks to experts like these. Sick people listen to them and follow them, healthy people ignore them and do something they don’t tell you about.

  • I hope y’all take a gander at the lawsuits against oat makers like General Mills, Quaker Oats, apparently General Mills won and these chemicals are still allowed. I try to only consume organic stuff. Monsanto makes that glyphosate junk but other companies that are buying and using glyphosate are apparently also lobbying to keep it allowed for food because glyphosate saves them much money over using organic herbicides etc.

  • She should NOT be giving diet advice yet. Nor should Michael Pollan. Balanced diets have never existed in history. Exercise is all but a non-issue in this.

Humans are hyper-carnivores, with virtually the same GI tracts as dogs, more particularly wolves. It’s biology. It’s evolution. The great apes have GI tracts more like horses. They must eat all day.

Dr. Salisbury (look him up) did experiments on human diets and published in 1888. Anyone making diet recommendations to anyone else should know his research upside down and backwards. He tested real people for 20 years and wrote it down. SPOILER: Humans need NO plants nor plant products in our diets. Period.

There are no plants people can live on up to 45 days (potatoes) without getting sick. That’s because our bodies struggle to digest plants. Just because some plant has a nutrient in it, that doesn’t mean your body can get it out. The nearest to a superfood is a high-fat hamburger patty. Yeah. Vegetarians can cure most of their ailments by changing their minds. Research is in long time

  • Gut lining “key” to aging??… cmon Gundry, thats ridiculous, there is a lot more to aging than that, you could have a perfect gut and lining and still be destined for the grave due to a whole bunch of other factors that have degraded and de-compensated.
