Tonight my vegetarian friend Hanna is coming over for dinner, so I decided to make a variant of the classic hamburger, the chickpea burger. It takes less than 30 minutes to make; I’m using canned chickpeas, but you can also use dried chickpeas, as long as you soak them for at least 10-12 hours..
So, put the chickpeas in a food processor… then cut the shallot. This recipe is great not only for vegetarians, but also to get your kids to eat legumes, since they’re usually a little bit reluctant. Roughly cut the garlic, too… then add: 2 eggs… 2 teaspoons of mustard… and some grated ginger. Now take the sandwich bread… a couple of slices, and break it with your hands, as it will be processed. For this recipe you can use chickpeas, as well as any other legume. Add salt and pepper… and process for a few seconds… it’s enough. Now take a bowl… and half of the mixture, 3 spoonfuls; keep aside this coarse, grainy mixture, since we’ll need it to make the patties firmer. Process the remaining mixture until even consistency… perfect. As you can see, now it’s ready… so we can blend the 2 mixtures together. In this case, I’m using canned chickpeas, so I’ll add a couple of tablespoons of breadcrumbs, because canned chickpeas are a bit watery and the addition of breadcrumbs will absorb the moisture. Stir well, to blend the breadcrumbs into the mixture… taste to see if it’s salty enough… yes it is! Now… if you want the traditional stripes on the patty, use a grill pan like this, otherwise you can use any other pan; put it on the heat… until very hot, meanwhile we’ll shape the patties. Here we are. This recipe makes about 8 patties, or 6, it depends on how thick you want it to be. Take a spoonful of dough and make them as evenly shaped as possible… that’s it. Now put it on the pan and go on. Look at the stripes!
Well, we can assemble our burger, first of all cut the buns in half. Be careful, don’t be taken in by the fact that it’s a vegetarian recipe, because it’s not light at all, since legumes and chickpeas in particular are very high in calories. Spread the mayonnaise, of course you can use any sauce or dressing you like, I prefer it to be simple, so I’ll add the mayonnaise, the salad, the patty and the tomato… and voilà. Just in time… buon appetito!
Spices and a good pan-sear turn these veggie-loaded patties from the Pollan Family’s newest cookbook, “Mostly Plants,” into a good-for-you meal choice.
On a weeknight I can throw these burgers together in about 5 minutes. Once they are pan fried dinner is on the table in around 10 minutes! I usually serve sweet potato fries or steamed veggies on the side.. You can try alternating the pumpkin for a couple of sweet potatoes or use a bit of both. The recipe is very lenient, you can vary the veggies used and amount used quite a bit and they still turn out great! Also try adding in a clove of garlic or add some of your favourite herbs or spices! Note: Around every 3 days I roast quite a few veggies and store them in my fridge to make fast meals like this one during the week.. So bake some roast vegetables during your next meal prep! They are so useful for burgers, salads, muffins, pastas and the list goes on…! Thanks for watching and we hope you are enjoying the Healthy Track! x
Are you ready for the best falafel you’ve ever tasted (whether fried or baked)? Falafel are delicious balls of chickpea and herb goodness that you find in Middle Eastern cooking.. I’ve had my fair share of falafel on travels through Egypt, Israel and Jordan. I’ve had them in restaurants and on street corners (the best authentic street food). I’ve had them stuffed in gluten-free pita and on salads. And I’ve had them with slight variations and tweaks, though the recipe itself is fairly simple.. But here’s how you make the best falafel recipe add tons of herbs (double the normal amount) and a small amount of green pepper. This makes for an addictive flavor that’s “a little something extra” but not spicy. Just insanely delicious.. Falafel are naturally vegan and vegetarian. You can then deep fry the falafel, pan fry or make baked falafel. It’s up to you! Just don’t forget to drizzle with my tahini sauce. 😉 Enjoy!. Falafel Recipe: http://bit.ly/32C96Zu. Do you ever wonder how vegans get their protein? I get asked that question all the time, and my answer is always the same: there are small amounts of protein in everything we eat especially vegetables, but I also get it from beans, grains, nuts, seeds, and other sneaky foods (I used to do a lot of protein powder but I have moved away from those due to too many allergies).. My friend Tilita Lutterloh is a 400M sprinter and Olympic hopeful for 2020. She was my personal trainer for a time (and COMPLETELY transformed my body), and has been a dear friend since I met her in 2009. She is also a vegan athlete.. Aside from other vegan athletes, no one is more qualified to talk about how vegans get their protein than Tilita is (seriously check out her muscles!!).. In this video, find out what she has to say, and join us as we create a vegan gluten free sweet potato chickpea burger that is Tilita approved! Here is what you’ll need: 2-3 tbsp avocado oil. 1 medium sized onion, chopped. 1 medium carrot, small diced. 2 medium sized yams, small diced. 4 cloves garlic, minced. 1/2 cup pistachios. 1/2 cup pecans. 2 cans chickpeas, rinsed. 1 1/2 tsp Celtic sea salt. 1/2 tsp cumin. 1/2 tsp chili powder. Preheat oven to 350F.. 1. Heat the avocado oil over medium low heat. Saute the onions, potatoes, and carrots for about ten minutes or until soft. Add the minced garlic and toss to combine for about a minute. Take the veggies off the heat and set aside.. 2. In a food processor, pulse the nuts until they have the consistency of parmesan cheese. Add your cooked veggies, chickpeas and spices to the food processor and blend until relatively smooth with some chunks here and there.. 3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat. Use a 1/2 cup measuring scoop to form your patties, about 1/2 inch thick.. 4. Bake the burgers at 350F from 20-30 minutes, depending on how hot your oven is, and rotating the pan half way through. Serve them as you would any other burger, and enjoy! Want Tilita’s information? http://www.tilitafied.com/. On Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Tilitafied/. 2⅔ cup Canned Chickpeas; 2½ cup Diced Pumpkin; 1 large Zucchini; 1 tsp Sweet Paprika; 1 tsp Cumin; 2 tbsp Tzatziki; 40 g Feta; METHOD. Buns, tomato, salad leaves, chutney or tzatziki, to serve 1. Into a food processor place the chickpeas, pumpkin, breadcrumbs, parsley, spring onion, cumin, paprika and salt blending until the mixture holds together. Shape into 4 patties.
1 (14oz) Canned Chickpeas (Eden Organics – BPA Free) Or 2 cups Cooked Chickpeas. 2 tbsp flaxmeal or 1 egg. ⅓ cup of rice or sourdough breadcrumbs. Coconut oil for cooking. 1. Preheat oven to 325ºF. 2. In a food processor, combine the garlic, spring onions, pumpkin, olive oil, cilantro, cumin and salt.
3. You can eat these chickpea and pumpkin patties alone, with sauces such as tzatziki, hummus or homemade tomato sauce, or in a sourdough bun as a veggie burger. Perfect for school lunchboxes, after school snacks and light dinners.
Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to a skillet, heat and add chopped onion. Saute on medium heat until translucent. In the meantime, chop the carrot and mince the garlic. Add the carrot, garlic, and chickpeas, along with your spices to a blender/food processor and blend until smooth.
Place the pumpkin into a food processor and add the chickpeas, garlic, cumin, lemon juice and coriander and blend briefly (to resemble a mashed, not pureed consistency). 3. Shape the pumpkin mixture into cakes and coat with the breadcrumbs. 4.
Toss gently to combine, then season with salt and pepper. In a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, heat remaining 2 tablespoons olive oil. Fry chickpea patties until golden, 3 minutes per.
Heat a non-stick frying pan over a medium-high heat. Lightly spray with cooking oil. Shape the chickpea and pumpkin mixture into burger patties and dust the outside with flour.
Place patty into frying pan, cook on each side for approx 4-5 minutes or until. These Easy Chickpea Patties are slightly crispy on the outside and tender and moist and flavorful on the inside. Serve them with plain Greek yogurt or a tzatziki sauce.
These Easy Chickpea Patties are more commonly known as Falafel, and they’re often times served inside pita bread. Spread out pumpkin on the tray, drizzle with 1 tbsp of the oil and season with salt and pepper. Roast until tender and starting to brown (about 30 minutes).
While pumpkin cooks, heat the remaining oil in a frypan and cook onion over a medium heat until.

I love making some vegetarian meals!:D I have never used chickpeas before myself D: So I can’t wait to try these!! I love everything made with chickpeas!!!
Why ia everyone freaking out in the comment section geez! She never claimed this was for vegan OR vegetarian. Just substitute as you would normally. No need to freak out
I did it the baked one. And Frozen half of it. Tasted even better out of the fridge direct It to the oven. So delicious! Thanks so much Kisses from Brazil Could you make a easy recipe of bread with buckwheat?
Hens period (egg) is not healthy. And “free range” is just something that the egg industry invented to make people like you feel better with their conscience. It is still disgusting in therms of ethics. Search some videos from Bite Size Vegan about that subject.
Plus, you should put it in the oven instead of frying it. When you fry, you’re raising even more your cholesterol levels and you’re clogging your arteries. So, this is not that as healthy as that.
The problem with every cooking segment on any tv show is that the time is limited, too many people talking at the same time and you’re rushing the cook.
Donal. My search for a veggie burger has ended. This recipe is sooooo nice. I am going to try with a little smoked paprika and also see what they are like as sausages. I have not found a good veggie sausage recipe yet. Really glad I found your site. You have lots of things to try.
Hiya. Have made this recipe several times. But I keep forgetting what oven setting. Could you please include the celcius for us outside the US please? Keep having to have two devices near me Thanks!
I followed this recipe to make falafel for the first ever. It came out brilliant. I live in UAE and trust me it tasted similar or even better than the ones you get from an Arabic restaurant. I did make some tiny alterations of my own, like I drizzled a bit coconut oil into cast iron pan and gave the falafel a bit texture before baking them. I also had to add a bit more gram flour to bring the mix together. Thank you so much for this amazing recipe! P.S: There is no point in making the falafel without the tahini sauce to dip it in!
whether you’re vegetarian or not!..If u eat eggs and dairy you’re not vegetarian!…You’re still contributing to the animals death!..After the Hen has finished laying and the cow stops producing milk…They are tortured and then Killed for everyone’s consumption! Dont give me that Vegetarian Shit!
I used assorted beans. If you do not like to use eggs, you can add 2 table spoons of black bean powder, add 3 teaspoons of wheat starch. I bought the black bean powder from a Chinese supermarket. However, if you like the yellow colour better, do not add black bean powder. Wheat starch can bind the ingredients too.
I made these burgers today and addes the beetroot hummus. Simply delicious!! even my 10 year old son, who can be picky about his food ate it with taste! thank you very much!
Donal, it’s great and different that you occationally say WHY you do what you do and explain abit. It’s so unmotivating to watch someone cook not understanding why they do what they do. Thumbs up and 1 new subscriber! ;D

How would this work with chia seeds instead of eggs while I enjoy egg I have friends who don’t eat eggs. Or what other binders would anyone recommend? Would milk, applesauce or whatever else work?
Why do people act like vegetarians don’t eat eggs? The eggs that are sold in markets are NOT FERTILIZED, so there for, IT’S NOT HURTING THE CHICK INSIDE THE EGG BECAUSE IT CAN NEVER BE CREATED UNLESS FERTILIZED, geesh.
Hi all. Do any of you end up with dry, tough falafel balls? It tastes great freshly fried but it doesn’t last much longer than that when I make them. Any tips??
I was surprised when you said “lekker.” Its yummy in our spoken language Afrikaans, in South Africa. Also Afrikaans is spin-off from Dutch anyways! Wow, I have to show my husband that part. So cool.
Hi! Just to let you know I tried your recipe and I don’t think I need to try any other. I’m a falafel addict so know a good one when I taste it….thankyou soooo much for this!

Eggs and milk products are VEGETARIAN, not VEGAN. Why? Because both instances the animal lives to see another day. When you eat flesh foods the animal is dead. Big difference. That’s the difference between vegans and vegetarians, no animal derived foods, even honey for VEGANS. If you eat dead fish you are not a vegetarian.
We followed your recipe and made baked version of falafel. We loved them a lot… so we added the recipe to the collection of our favorites. https://veggiefoodie.com/2020/08/08/falafel-baked/ Thank you for a great recipe!

I have been OBSESSED with chickpeas recently. I will do about 1-2c in my instant pot and have them for lunch throughout the week. This week is a greek theme salad (olives, feta, cucumber, tomato, dressing). I will have to give this a try soon. I know it is vegan/vegetarian, but could you bind it with an egg since I don’t have the restriction?

Thank you so much for your videos! I love that your inspirations are based on your personal experience and interaction with other cultures, which makes the recipe more authentic! Also your videos a clear, good lighting, calm, straightforward, easy to follow, and the food looks absolutely delicious!! thank you!!
I tried making these for the first time, following the recipe all the way through and they turned out amazing! Cooked them in the oven for a healthier alternative and I can’t stop eating them lol! I do need to mention the chickpeas are still firm after soaking overnight however trust the process, once you blend well the texture is fine.
I love your healthy recipes Donal. Do you have fiddleheads in Ireland? If so I would love to hear how you prepare them. If not, you need to come to Ontario for fiddlehead season.
I just cooked this recipe yesterday… absolutely a success with all my friends, they never guessed it was all vegan. I also prepared the tahini sauce of your videos… well in a few words.. awesome …. thanks do you know anything about shawarmas??
I made these tonight and the flavour was lovely. However my mixture was a bit to wet. Please do you have ideas as to help? I used quantities that you used. Downshiftology.
I made this recipe yesterday. My family is from Israel and it’s hard to find a place that makes a good falafel. This recipe really nailed it, worth your time, give it a shot!

Wat een prachtig filmpje en een mooie locatie, al die planten in huis. Ik vraag me af of dit gewoon hier in NL is. Zie wel Pickwick thee voorbij komen…
Falafel is my favourite dish here in my home town Jordan All the spices you use is good, but you forget to put coriander seed ground, this will make the falafel more delicious Thanks for this lovely recipe
You could also replace the rapeseed oil with coconut oil it is a lot healthier and goes a long way. I know how it sounds but the coconut won’t clash with the rest of the flavour.
Hi Donal. I am definitely gonna try this. I usually don’t eat meat on Tuesdays and Thursdays though. Can you please suggest a substitution for the eggs? thanks. great video and very good presentation as usual.:)
Hi Lisa! I’ve made this twice already and it was delicious, thank you!!! I have a question though, can you use curly parsley for this? I’ve made it previously with flat leaf parsley but the last grocery delivery I received Curley parsley instead. Do you think it will make a difference? Thank you so much for your advice!
I have Arabic origins and my family make a similar dish, it’s kibbeh. It’s amazing! I think it’s similar to falafel, but with a different filling; cows meet, pecan nuts, peppermint, pinion, onion, and wheat!! The procedure it’s the same, you should try them
I am obsessed with your recipes!!! They are healthy and fancYYYYY!!! wonderful! great job and you definitely inspire me to cook vegan food! thanks a lot!
OMG! I’m so excited for an easy gluten free falafel recipe. I love falafel but I think my body is starting to struggle with gluten. Can’t wait to try this recipe, thank you!
You two are sooooooo delightful. The gorgeous recipes are a fantastic extra! You are seriously inspiring me to eat a very healthy and very conscious whole food plant-based diet. I used to be a rawfoodist, felt great on it but struggled to stick with it. This is the next best thing as I can truly integrate these type of meals into my long-term diet & lifestyle. With additional vegetable juices, green smoothies, and chia puddings. I love you guys!!! I mean REALLY!!! I must have watched this about 10 times already! ✨
Excellent! crunchy outside and moist inside, great flavor (I like the spicy serrano pepper idea) all the flavors blend very well for a delicious and healthy meal/snack, etc. First time doing falafel, the recipe easy to follow. My only suggestion to include ingredients list while cooking. Do you have the recipe for babaganush? Thank you again!
Today is my first day of trying to become a vegetarian. I followed this recipe, withholding some things, and it tastes amazing! I even made some out dasheen, yam and sweet potato
It would be nice to have the name of the products your using since some of us,our first language is not english to just like understand better i would realy like to make them
Looks delicious. I finally tried to make these. I’ve been making this recipe for two days-lol. My teenage son even likes them and guess what…we’re having these for Dinner again tonight
I tried this recipe during lockdown and im trying to eat more heathy. But I decided to deep fry these!. I have not really been that keen on falafel. Maybe the ones ive tried were shop bought and too dry..After making my own using your recipe im blown away..These are just delicious! Amazing recipe. I put a bit too much parsley in mine and I didn’t have chick pea flour, so I replaced with all purpose..I don’t have a processor, so used a blender!, but they turned out perfect!.Thanks for this!
Lekker is also a word we use in South Africa ALL THE TIME in our local language Afrikaans. Means yummy but you can use it when saying just about anything is awesome! This channel is LEKKER
Hi, I make my falafel almost the same way! Some times they don t cook at all inside so I prefer the flat ones Thank you for your inspiration in each lovely recipe! Regards from Ururguay,
Hey guys I’m trying to transition to a plant based diet but struggling to find time to cook. Do you know if these falafels can be frozen before being baked? And if that’s the case, for how long? I’d really appreciate it!
I made it not only once, but five time for my family in two weeks, they absolutely loved it and it turns out perfect every time! Thank you for your friendly detail recipe and video!
Why ia everyone freaking out in the comment section geez! She never claimed this was for vegan OR vegetarian. Just substitute as you would normally. No need to freak out
it’s a great recipe but why are those healthier than regular burgers? I’m just curious they have chickpeas instead of meat. so calories or carbs in this case are way higher for sure, what exactly makes them healthier? meat isn’t less healthy than legumes
Congratulations to Robin. Graduating with a PhD is a great job well done. You both look so nice together. Good luck. Your videos are one of the great motivations for me to continue to vegan.. Thank you
This is such a great recipe. Thanks for taking the time to perfect it and then sharing. Have made it twice now and perfect each time. Thanks all the way from New Zealand!
What 448 people didn’t like this! I really enjoyed this! You inspire me to experiment with cooking and make me feel more optimistic about life in general, thank you!
It’s coinsidanly I watch second Time your video, we make is recipe from year’s, and year’s, my grandma say this is favorite for her great great grandma also. We also make with moong Bean and eye bean also. Enjoy. I like your cooking tool also. If you want to buy or sale them contact.
Hi friends! I’m excited to finally share this video (I’ve been working on this recipe for quite a while!). These falafel are delicious and have SO much flavor. But I’d love to hear…which method is your favorite to cook them? It’s always a toss up for me.:) Hope you’re enjoying your summer! xo Lisa
Wow, these look good! Love the idea of pureed chickpeas with some whole ones, too. So many veggie burgers lack texture but these look like they’d be delish. We’ll definitely try them out with the kids. Thanks for a great new recipe and congrats on your wedding!!
Who are you!!!! I would love to come over to your house and have that for lunch. That looks delicious you are so awesome thanks for sharing I will definitely be trying this
Amazing. Best recipe as close to original Middle Eastern version. I am from Middle East and really miss the authentic food. This has done it for me. Thanks a ton
I watched this all the way through and thought, yup I’d like to have a go at those. No recipe below, so followed link, no AMOUNTS? I am quite an organised person, so I like to have all the ingredients ready for when I play the instruction video can’t keep stopping and starting with sticky fingers! So, sorry, I’ll adapt the recipe I have made before. Thanks for giving me some ideas at least.
You could also replace the rapeseed oil with coconut oil it is a lot healthier and goes a long way. I know how it sounds but the coconut won’t clash with the rest of the flavour.
@pickuplimes I love watching your videos and trying the recipes! But with this one, I’ actually hung up on the music that plays in the background towards the end of the video. Can you tell me the name of the track on Epidemic Sound? (P.S. signed up on ES only for that music:P)
Be careful about eating dough with raw eggs in it. Otherwise, great recipe. I will use an egg replacer and am gluten free so will find a substitute for that too. Nice demonstration. Thanks for the video. P.S,. Legumes, Chick Peas are relatively low in calories and are so healthy that we must get clear on what is really high and low. Check out information of calorie density by Jeff Novick and others. The big fat pills are the mayo (oil) and refined/processed flour products. I will have some romaine leaves as a bun substitute. Yay! Thanks for the great ideas!
How would this work with chia seeds instead of eggs while I enjoy egg I have friends who don’t eat eggs. Or what other binders would anyone recommend? Would milk, applesauce or whatever else work?
My husband and I made the falafels and tzatziki today for our dinner and oh my gosh were they good. Followed the directions almost completely except we used Greek yogurt for the tzatziki instead of vegan yogurt, and also added finely chopped mint to it as well. Sliced avocado along with the other toppings to the final product and a sprinkle of feta cheese and man was it delicious. We had leftovers. Can’t wait for dinner tomorrow night!
Hi Donal. I am definitely gonna try this. I usually don’t eat meat on Tuesdays and Thursdays though. Can you please suggest a substitution for the eggs? thanks. great video and very good presentation as usual.:)
Hello! I really like your channel!!! I have a question for you regarding pepper… I did as you did!! And it falls apart for me in the frying!!! The falafel will not stay intact!!!
The problem with every cooking segment on any tv show is that the time is limited, too many people talking at the same time and you’re rushing the cook.
Looks delicious. I finally tried to make these. I’ve been making this recipe for two days-lol. My teenage son even likes them and guess what…we’re having these for Dinner again tonight
Wonderful recipe. Crispy outside and soft inside I pan fried them but lost the count of table spoons of oil and then put them on the oven for 15 minutes.turned out great; flavorful, beautiful and very delicious. Thank you
This is my first time enjoying your YouTube channel. Great work! I’m looking forward to more great content from you. Thank you so much for this informative video! I got so much out of it.

The Lebanese pita bread used for the falafel recipe seems old. Traditionally, we buy the bread every day and it’s best used as a sandwich wrap on the day of purchase. Plus, we use it as a pocket for falafel and not as a double layer. We have other uses for it when it becomes brittle: as crouton for fattouch and fatteh.
Yellowsaffron, my 9 yr old loves your video and wants to make this chickpea burger! She usually eats the grillers from Morningstar, but want to try this! Thanks for posting!
Some of you in the comment section make vegans look real dumb. It is a good thing that there are other more positive vegans on youtube. They are mature enough to not cause others to look down on all of you.

Great recipe! I love Lebanese food and gastronomy, it’s the best in the world. I’m from Norway, I got the chance to visit Lebanon eight years ago, it was wonderful…. beautiful country and people, and their food is second to none.
Why do people act like vegetarians don’t eat eggs? The eggs that are sold in markets are NOT FERTILIZED, so there for, IT’S NOT HURTING THE CHICK INSIDE THE EGG BECAUSE IT CAN NEVER BE CREATED UNLESS FERTILIZED, geesh.
white people burgers! my favorite! I’m lucky to have found an OLD Cuisinart while walking my dog and it works! can’t wait to test it out before my guests arrive this evening. I am making this.
OK I WILL TRY THIS.. BUT IF IT DOESN’T TURN OUT TO BE AS I WANT THEN I WILL DISLIKE THIS VID AND REPORT YOUR CHANNEL FOR INAPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR AND FALSE INFORMATION SHARING

I love your healthy recipes Donal. Do you have fiddleheads in Ireland? If so I would love to hear how you prepare them. If not, you need to come to Ontario for fiddlehead season.

Is it possible to make granola that is lower fat? I’ve tried adding less oil but then it doesn’t brown. I’m doing weight watchers and would love a good crunchy breakfast like I used to eat, but most cereals are waaaay to high in points
Yellowsaffron, my 9 yr old loves your video and wants to make this chickpea burger! She usually eats the grillers from Morningstar, but want to try this! Thanks for posting!

Thank god for the imperfect latte art because though I like this channel, I am definitely imperfect. Lots to aspire to here, and yet, I would love to see them tear open a box of cocoa puffs on an off day or have tea in a mug that is not a work of art. A beautiful channel, but my everyday, while healthy and even artistic cannot consistently arrive at this. Thanks for the inspiration.
I tried your recipe for the first time to make falafel. It turned out so good!! I’m so happy that I was able to cook successfully. Thank you very much! From Japan
it’s a great recipe but why are those healthier than regular burgers? I’m just curious they have chickpeas instead of meat. so calories or carbs in this case are way higher for sure, what exactly makes them healthier? meat isn’t less healthy than legumes
Wow, these look good! Love the idea of pureed chickpeas with some whole ones, too. So many veggie burgers lack texture but these look like they’d be delish. We’ll definitely try them out with the kids. Thanks for a great new recipe and congrats on your wedding!!
Today is my first day of trying to become a vegetarian. I followed this recipe, withholding some things, and it tastes amazing! I even made some out dasheen, yam and sweet potato

Is what you call Rocket actually Arrugula? Have heard europeans use that ingredient a few times but it looks like what we call Arrugula in the USA.
Totally random….but…we made your tahini cookies last night…ummm….seriously the best cookies ever! I did add dark choco chunks….….new fave recipe. My 4 kiddos totally approved!!! Hugs! ☕️

I did it the baked one. And Frozen half of it. Tasted even better out of the fridge direct It to the oven. So delicious!
Thanks so much
Kisses from Brazil
Could you make a easy recipe of bread with buckwheat?
In the 80s… Falafel was an entirely different beast in the states. It was sold as the whole package with tahini, veggies and pita.
So, this is not that as healthy as that.
there are different kinds of vegetarians, some will eat animal products as long as the animal wasn’t killed, and laying an egg is not lethal.
I saw a blue tea you made, what kind of tea is that? And what do you use to filter that tea? I am curious! I hope you let me know! x Fatimazahra

Hi Donal,I am from India and I love your recipes.I wish you could have some more vegetarian recipes.Cheers Bro!Keep up the good work..
Dont give me that Vegetarian Shit!
grate beetroot with the carrot add some finely sliced white cabbage and pop that in your pitta bread with humous and chickpea burger yummy
Thumbs up and 1 new subscriber! ;D
I had this for dinner yesterday combined with sweet potato fries… So yummy and easy to make, my new goto recipe for a veggie burger

I miss it if I can’t have it….. so easy to make and store
May I ask do you get a brand of coconut yoghurt? X

Would using can chickpeas work? I’ve had a can in my pantry for ages as I just didn’t know what to cook with them.. This would be perfect!
We followed your recipe and made baked version of falafel. We loved them a lot… so we added the recipe to the collection of our favorites. https://veggiefoodie.com/2020/08/08/falafel-baked/
Thank you for a great recipe!
Oh Lauren, I love you!! (This is Mariam from QAA) YOU ARE AWESOME! this is such a great channel:) are you ok sharing what mic you’re using for filming?

I was born in Kuwait n i eat falafel anytime my all time favourite falafel. This time i will try this recipe. Thanks for sharing
I see a child… a sister and a mom in you….. so happy seeing u r videos….I repeat u r videos on a bad day…. stay healthy n happy

Falafel is my favourite dish here in my home town Jordan
All the spices you use is good, but you forget to put coriander seed ground, this will make the falafel more delicious
Thanks for this lovely recipe
You could also replace the rapeseed oil with coconut oil it is a lot healthier and goes a long way. I know how it sounds but the coconut won’t clash with the rest of the flavour.
Love this recipe! Didn’t have the serrano pepper but it still tasted delicious! Thank you for sharing. This will be a keeper! ♡
Hi Donal. I am definitely gonna try this. I usually don’t eat meat on Tuesdays and Thursdays though. Can you please suggest a substitution for the eggs? thanks. great video and very good presentation as usual.:)
You inspire me.. I love all your recipes, specially because I have a strict diet and everything hurts my gut… (post gastric cancer and no stomach.
there are different kinds of vegetarians, some will eat animal products as long as the animal wasn’t killed, and laying an egg is not lethal.
Bro! Did you just put an egg in there? Adding meat to a vegan burger is like adding alchohol to a non-alcoholic drink take this L bro foh
Excellent! crunchy outside and moist inside, great flavor (I like the spicy serrano pepper idea) all the flavors blend very well for a delicious and healthy meal/snack, etc.
Hi Donal,I am from India and I love your recipes.I wish you could have some more vegetarian recipes.Cheers Bro!Keep up the good work..
Hi, I make my falafel almost the same way! Some times they don t cook at all inside so I prefer the flat ones
Thank you for your inspiration in each lovely recipe!

These burgers are simple, yet fulfilling. I added some soy sauce, shredded carrot, 1 egg, and panko breadcrumbs to give it that crust.
Mash up some avocado and lather it on them toasted buns w/ olive oil and a touch of balsamic vinaigrette.
Delicious.

Some of you in the comment section make vegans look real dumb. It is a good thing that there are other more positive vegans on youtube. They are mature enough to not cause others to look down on all of you.
Bro! Did you just put an egg in there? Adding meat to a vegan burger is like adding alchohol to a non-alcoholic drink take this L bro foh
white people burgers! my favorite!
I WILL ALSO PRESS CHARGES FOR MISUSE OF THE FOODPROCESSOR
THE INSTRUCTION LABEL SAYS YOU CANNOT OPEN THE CAP AND PUT YOUR HAND OR ANY OBJECT IN IT WHILE THE CORD IS CONNECTED

Donal. My search for a veggie burger has ended. This recipe is sooooo nice. I am going to try with a little smoked paprika and also see what they are like as sausages. I have not found a good veggie sausage recipe yet. Really glad I found your site. You have lots of things to try.

I had this for dinner yesterday combined with sweet potato fries… So yummy and easy to make, my new goto recipe for a veggie burger
Wow, these look good! Love the idea of pureed chickpeas with some whole ones, too. So many veggie burgers lack texture but these look like they’d be delish. We’ll definitely try them out with the kids. Thanks for a great new recipe and congrats on your wedding!!
Would using can chickpeas work? I’ve had a can in my pantry for ages as I just didn’t know what to cook with them.. This would be perfect!
