  • This is a very important thing to remember, restricting will only make you want to break your “diets” it makes you want to quit sometimes because it messes with you mentally. I am currently on a weight loss journey with no restrictions and I focus on whole, healthy foods and great recipes as my main source of diet with focus on healthy portions as well.   • I have hypothyroidism and it most definitely can be a hinder to going about dieting, as a vegan with ibs my limitations on what I can eat are quit high and getting enough protein within my macros have been so hard to do with ibs,but making sure I’m catering to my thyroid and hormone imbalance comes first to trying to get the body I want, with an under active thyroid a slow metabolism makes keeping weight off hard, I’m definitely interested in seeing a video where u talk about what u do to see if ur hormones are in check

  • Hey girl, I think your messages are great and it’s amazing you’ve shared your journey with us so we can learn together. People don’t need to hear over and over that they ‘need more restriction’ and if they have a cookie, pizza, or treat that they are ‘ruining their progress.’ I also wanted to throw out there that I use walking to feel good but also for transitions. I start my day with a walk around the block and it helps me feel motivated to be productive. At the same token, if I’ve been studying/working or even chilling I will go on a quick walk to break up the time and help me transition from one activity to another which makes me feel refreshed. I say this because maybe a short walk after you’ve finished your work schedule with help you transition in to your relaxation period. I know you went on a long with with your dog in the evening, but maybe adding in a short walk at the end of your work day would break up the tasks and make it easier to transition in to your evening.     Last year, I did a crash diet, but I gained my weight back with extra 2kg. Now, I am not restricting myself from eating anything.   • So I was listening to a Timothy Keller podcast on happiness, it was pretty brilliant not to mention interesting and cool as fork. Basically the point is that God’s size is infinite, and we were created by Him for Him. After “the fall” some sort of a “separation” occurred and now we tend to live our lives away from God. This is why we always have plans to “achieve happiness”, but when we actually achieve our goals, happiness is still one or two steps away. A tip is: think and ponder on things He has done for you, and if that’s difficult, pray He would convict you of things He does for you. By God I mean: the “three in one”: The Father-The-Son&The-Holy-Ghost (the Christian God/Christ Jesus) ✌�� peace out!

  • I am just guessing and trying to leave a comment that has any chance to be helpful. Please feel free to ignore if I am way off. My impression on your issue with unwinding, at least based on what you said, is that you want to do a lot of things in a day, and have a lot of longterm projects that you are continuously doing.
    But it seems to me as if the frustration comes from not having a clean measure for the daily success or an output where you can put all the things that cross your mind at the end of the day before the unwinding time.
    There is a guy called Dave Crenshaw on linked in learning and he has a course called ‘Time Management Fundamentals’. I found it extremely useful for my office work. I did a lot of stuff all the time so I did get things checked off my lists, but in many ways at the end of the day I still left frustrated and full of thoughts and ideas, I needed hour long walks to wind down. The course was really helpful in learning how to keep me focused, and always up to date, my time controlled but my head clean at the same time. When I started to follow the recommendations the stress went away. I don’t need to think what I have and havent done. I just close my laptop at the end of the day and enjoy rest. So I recommend the course.
