It’s an approach some people call the caveman diet or the Paleolithic diet, and it consists of eating meat, poultry, fish, seafood, fruits, vegetables, berries, nuts, ancient alternative “grains,” and other foods that your body was designed to eat — all of which are naturally gluten-free.

  • Thank you for this video! I tried this lifestyle a few years ago and lost a lot of weight effortlessly but then I become a vegan and gained so much weight and got sick. Now I’m back to paleo and I feel great after just 4 days on it. This is by far the best!

  • I’m interested in learning about this diet and trying it but you said no dairy so I’m concerned about calcium. I was on a vegan diet for five years and ended up getting nutritional defiencies and so did my husband who was vegan longer than me. Calcium was one of the issues with me. I ate tons of spinach and beans so it seems I wasn’t absorbing it or something. It really sux cause I want to stay vegan but don’t wanna be unhealthy. A web site said you have to have meat to absorb any of your nutrients from the plants. I don’t want to consume dairy cause it’s so bad for you but I don’t know how to get anough calcium. Please help.

  • Winner of a video, I been tryin to find out about “caveman paleolithic diet recipes” for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of Elijaarqey Paleo Smasher (just google it )? It is a good one off product for discovering some amazing paleo recipes without the hard work. Ive heard some decent things about it and my partner got amazing success with it.

  • Excellent Video clip! Sorry for butting in, I would appreciate your thoughts. Have you researched Dinanlinson Perfection Guide Approach (erm, check it on google should be there)? It is a great exclusive guide for discovering a collection of tasty paleo recipes without the normal expense. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my cousin after many years got cool success with it.

  • So sad that Dr. Oz doesn’t really do much with nutrition anymore, it’s more about murders and stuff like that. I don’t even watch him anymore because if that.

  • The more I learn about Paleo, and the short stint I did with it last month, I’m ready to make the change to a fully paleo lifestyle. It feels good to put in your body

  • Idk where these fake rules came from. Ping pong ball of peanut butter?? Peanut butter is a legume which isn’t part of the paleo diet. Opt for sunflower seed butter. We are looking to avoid inflammation and did-ease my friends.

  • So sad that Dr. Oz doesn’t really do much with nutrition anymore, it’s more about murders and stuff like that. I don’t even watch him anymore because if that.

  • I went from 164 lbs to 117 lbs
    On paleo life style change.
No such thing as a good “diet”.
Thats a a limited concept’returning back to the old ways is inherent in its concept.
I lost to muchso added back a few high calorie foods.

  • i think people should go to paleo diet also with their other consumption. like buying things. meaning no need to buy many clothes and other stuff. go more paleo generally, folks:). and respect nature and other creatures around you. not only how you eat is important. its important to consume less in general. i mean people have gone so far from common sense in general. i mean, no disrespect, even looking at the crowd there. fake boobs, bottox lips, whitened teeth. people have lost common sense. not only food intake needs to be adjusted….

  • Potato spikes my insulin, which stops weight loss. The other veggies look fine, which is the same as keto, pretty much. Cheese is permitted on keto ha!

  • great video! i got the paleo diet for so cheap too:) here is the site i got it from if anybody is interested its on deal at the moment shorturl.at/sUX49

  • Here’s a Paleo diet cook book that I found helpful on my journey of paleo dieting https://bit.ly/2t1IbFq
    Hope someone found this helpful:)

  • 7:20 in and all I know about that paleo diet is that “it’s not like the modern diet, its good for you and I eat high quality plants and animals”. I had to wait until 9:35 to know it’s got something to do with fat. This video is not informative at all. It seems like another paleo follower pushing its wares. I am still unaware of what it’s actually about other than not eating processed foods. This is the least informative video ever.

  • That’s a nice video. You might also be interested in gaining more knowledge about Paleo diet..visit the link… https://bit.ly/2JPIxGl

  • The thing that bothers me is the premise that grains weren’t eaten by our ancient ancestors. For millennia Native Americans have harvested wild rice and the ancients ate grains such as spelt, teff, and amaranth. Who in Siberia ate bananas? Who ate avocados in paleolithic England? Or buffalo in Samoa? If you really want to be authentic and eat “Paleo” you should only eat the native foods in the area where you live.

This is a mostly healthy diet but when it comes to determining what “paleolithic” foods are it’s just romantic conjecturing. Be honest and just call it a healthy diet without the silly name. It reminds me of those “museums” that have little children in leather loin cloths playing with the dinosaurs.

I have a bunch of Paleo cookbooks that I plan on reading again. Everything seems sound except for the grain prohibition. In moderation whole grains are good and have vitamins and minerals that are hard to get from other foods.

I lost 40 lbs on Atkins but had horrible gut pains because of the lack of fiber. I started eating one slice of whole wheat bread a day and it solved that problem-and it didn’t slow down my weight loss.

  • Great advice! I really like the paleo diet. In the last year, I’ve made some big changes to my diet.

The biggest reason why I succeeded is because I use quality paleo diet cookbooks.

Recently I came across a paleo diet cookbook that offers 125 paleo recipes complete with daily paleo diet meal plans and snack ideas.

It also gives you paleo diet shopping lists and helpful advice on how to stick with your new diet plan when eating out at restaurants.

The recipes are terrific and you’ll be able to easily adapt to the plan. I highly recommend it.

  • I have just started a month trial on the paleo diet. I have coeliacs disease so I can’t have most processed foods but I will miss eating chocolate

  • “if the cavemen ate it you can go for it” the cavemen didn’t eat chlorine infested chicken and meat that is pumped with antibiotics. They also didn’t eat fruits that come from the other side of the World. Coffee or tea? Nope sorry not for you.. Water from the supermarket? Not for you, go to the next river! oh sorry you can’t drink that, it’s already poisoned. My point is: it’s good if people want to live healthy and think about their food, but from all the diets and tips out there, paleo is nothing more than a joke. Saying it was good in the past it is good now just doesn’t work.

  • Wislawa Szymborska, the Polish poet who won the 1996 Nobel Prize for literature, once wrote a poem called “Our Ancestors’ Short Lives.” It begins: Few of them made it to thirty…

  • When people in the developed world get very wealthy instead of giving money they don’t need to help starving children in Africa they go on fad diets like veganism and paleo in a vain attempt to extend their lives.

  • Fish, salad, vegetables and fruit, plenty of water and some exercise. Lost 20 lbs in 5 weeks.
Increased the amounts, stabilized the weight and feel great.

  • thank you for spreading truth about the Paleo diet! My whole family has been on the Paleo diet for over 4 years and it is amazing for my health. I have lost so much weight and it has cured all of my health issues. I’ve raised my children up since they were babies the paleo way and they have no allergies in our extremely healthy.

  • basically avoid processed foods like refined grains and sugar and you should be fine. that’s the one thing most of these diets have in common.

  • Paleo works great if you are disciplined and eliminate all table sugar. As an added benefit, after a while my bathroom visits didn’t stink anymore.

  • MOST PALEO PEOPLE WILL AGREE THAT YOU DON’T PUT A HUGE WHITE POTATO ON YOUR PLATE UNLESS YOU ARE VERY ACTIVE AND HAVE NO DIABETIC OR PREDIABETIC ISSUES. BUTTERNUT SQUASH, AND YAM IS A BETTER OPTION AS THEY ARE LOW GLYCEMIC.

  • I eat almost paleo due to my allergies but I still eat rice and beans. I feel like if i gave those up my meals would be so much more expensive because those are great fillers

  • My only issue is the no legumes. Legumes are a common denominator in healthy populations world wide, so I will continue to eat them

  • Halfway through the video: Paleo friendly food such as.. soy beans? White beans? Do your research Dr Oz c’mon man stick to the lame diets and stop ruining the good ones

  • Here come all the lazy fat slobs who complain they can’t do paleo because of “oh no mah carbs and Mac n cheese” I despise folks like the last one they reviewed a tweet on. Blatantly ignorant all because they wanna eat fries and fattening junk.

  • Cheers for this, been searching for “paleo diet calories per day” for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried Fanabraal Toned Tiraspol (search on google )? Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my brother in law got great results with it.

  • Guys if you’ve ever heard of Cinderella Solutions you should definitely try it because my mom was able to lose weight really easily it was crazy! It’s apparently one of the most popular routines in the country at the moment as well. Here’s a link if you’re curious haha!:) http://bit.ly/EasierWeightLoss

  • essentially: no grains/no complex carbs/no gluten, occasional starch from potatoe, 50% veggies, protein, and 1 serving of healthy fats like nuts/avacado/healthy plant oil (olive/avacado/flax seed). Replace things with: pasta-squash, rice-cauliflower, bread-lettuce leafs, etc.

  • I’ve been Paleo for 5 years now. I still break out and eat wheat products occasionally but I stick to my diet about 90% of the time. It’s taught me heaps about my body and still learning every day.

  • The Chinese used to eat a diet that was 90% white rice. They had almost no heart disease or diabetes and far less cancer than Americans. That is a strong argument for starches.

  • I’ve been doing paleo for 73 days now. I keep a food diary and I give myself a cheat meal once every 30 days. During this time I’ve lost 23 pounds. My overall goal was 30. I feel great, people ask me what I do and I inform them, and I’m proud of myself for changing my life style. Seeing this video did a lot for me and it’s what got me started. I don’t know if you read your comments, but thank you for helping me create a more healthy, happy and confident person.

  • There’s JUST ONE REASON you might fail on the Paleo Diet and it has everything to do with your ability to make delicious food, FAST.

  • The “average cave man” was not tall, lean, and athletic and did not live in caves for that matter. Early man ate everything that would not make him or her sick, so wild grains were on the menu as he found them. This guys “Diet” may be perfect for you but he is a lying opportunist that wants your money. Do a search on the internet and I’m sure you will find the information you need for free.

  • What a load of nonsense. How about leaving the billions of animals that are killed every year for our taste buds.
You can live a lot healthier by eating vegan plant based food. Better for the planet. Look up to see how these animals are rounded up every day for the slaughter just for our pleasure. Most of them don’t even get to live past 2 to 4 years of age. Meat is a huge cause of a lot of diseases.
People have been healing themselves on a plant based diet. Is an animals life really worth killing just so we can have a few moments of pleasure on our plates?

  • Thank you for posting such an interesting and insightful video. I was on the Paleo diet for a while and found myself struggling to continue to follow it because I didn’t know what to cook and I was getting bored of eating the same things over and over again. I then found these amazing cookbooks and it changed my life: https://tinyurl.com/yalzl7y9 I learned so many new recipes that have made sticking to the Paleo Diet fun, easy, and delicious! I’ve lost 53 pounds so far and I am loving my new and improved lifestyle! Thank you so much for sharing your journey with all of us!

  • Probably you’ve all heard of Paleo diet or you have tried it so far. I’ve been having a weight issue for my whole life and I’ve tried a lot of different diets. But, I’ve realized that somehow I like the Paleo diet the most. I’ve bought a few books so far regarding Paleo diet, and I came across this one on the internet. So I bought this one too. I can say that the one thing that I like the best about this book is that you can find all the information you need about Paleo in one place, in one book, such as: meal plans, hacks for dining out, recipes… Plus, the results are imminent if you follow the instructions in the book. I’ve managed to lose weight in just some weeks and the key is that you can learn how to reduce just the extra fat and not to kill the nutrients and minerals in the body.
    Highly recommended!

  • Science has confirmed that paleolithic ancestors were indeed healthier than our Neolithic ancestors. The Neolithic period is around the time we started seeing the first grains being produced and consumed.

The caveman(paleo) was almost in a caloric deficit +movement, not so much food and boommm… Fit. .
    PALEO DIET it’s expensive DUDE

  • Paleo helped me changed my fertility! After eating clean with no inflammatory foods I “became regular” after 3 or 4 months and had no issues conceiving! Now I’m pregnant with #3. Of course now I have cravings but will start again once baby is born!

  • what about process meat such as sausage, salami, bacon and ham; are they acceptable on the diet? I would thank you a lot if you were more into the pros and cons of this diet. I like your videos.

  • When I first started the paleo diet I used this free eBook http://quickpaleo.weebly.com/
It tells you all the foods you can eat as well as 5 quick meal plans for beginners.

    Love the vid btw!

  • todays meats are not evan close to the wild meats are ancestors eat. So choose meats that are the most wild cought as they can be. eat the slowest burning carbs you can find. have one cheat day a week.

  • I tried every diet in the book and the only one that ever worked for me was Covert Bailey’s Fit or Fat Target Diet. And I must say, the idea that fat does not make you fat is absolute nonsense. Eliminate sugar, refined foods, and fatty foods from your diet and you will lose weight.

  • Looks cool. Is it sure that all those are true, does it really help curing disease? Lets check it all from https://t.co/JefnlsjtTq

  • Pea milk has come as an addition to the Paleo diet arsenal. I have just read this Chicago Tribune article http://virl.ink/ZAv7z1ZLqb

  • Dudes…. How long have people been making cheese? How long have we been using milk in our diet? To say that dairy is bad for us, 7500 years after we have been regularly consuming it, just sounds a little ridiculous. Yes, maybe we should be getting our dairy from sources that we know are making products naturally; no added hormones, no antibiotics, etc. For the people that love milk, but have stopped drinking it because of a diet plan, I urge you to seek, find, and consume one glass of fresh warm goats milk! You will feel fantastic for hours, and you will hope to have more soon!

  • In the absence of carbs, glucose (energy) is derived from fat and proteins as well. It is a process called gluconeogenesis. and If absolutely necessary, we are fully capable of taking non-carbohydrate sources and creating carbohydrate structures.

  • No grains… what about China being able to gather rice in China? Their ancestors had rice (grain). The body uses carbohydrates (its preferred source of energy). It sounds like the diet is just getting rid of junk foods.

  • Here’s a Paleo diet cook book that I found helpful on my journey of paleo dieting https://bit.ly/2t1IbFq

  • I’m on day 4 of paleo…oh boy the food selection is great I actually love the foods but he’s so right with the low energy and tough adjustment period! you pee ALL THE TIME… you feel tingly… abd on day two I had really bad nausea. but… I’m sticking to it. no will power needed I don’t crave carbs or dairy the foods that we are allowed to eat satisfies my palette!

  • Why is the paleolithic point of time the right one to state our best diet? Whole grains are great, we are definitely not optimized for eating animal products. The longest living populations on this planet do not follow a paleo diet.

” for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of Elijaarqey Paleo Smasher (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now )? Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my colleague got amazing success with it.

  • This is just superb, been searching for “paleo fat fast” for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried Fanabraal Toned Tiraspol (should be on google have a look )? Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my mate got cool results with it.

  • Blue Zoners aren’t paleo. Rice, pasta, bread…all common on their diets. People have to get a grip. There is no such thing as a “paleo” diet. We’ve been starch eaters for millions of years…since cooking. Meat was eaten when available. And beans are a staple that ALL blue zoners eat. About the only good thing about paleo eating is that you don’t have crap food. Other than that, it’s just another cult diet. It’s not a bad cult diet, it’s just an inaccurate name for it. I know many, many weight lifters that get ripped on a so-called paleo diet. If you’re an athlete, it’s a great diet for you. But if you’re not, the animal products could be a problem. Everyone has to check their own lipids, metabolic values, etc., and see what is best for them.

  • want a paleo diet, step 1 go to grocery store, step 2 turn around and leave because nothing in the grocery store is paleo. Step 3 go to your nearest wilderness area, eat whatever you can find.

  • I disagree on one thing: that there isn’t much prep. I have never spent so much time in the kitchen and washed so many dishes since I did my first Whole30 and then paleo.

    But I never felt better.

  • what about process meat such as sausage, salami, bacon and ham; are they acceptable on the diet? I would thank you a lot if you were more into the pros and cons of this diet. I like your videos.

  • Lectins can be almost entirely eliminated through normal cooking. We don’t eat raw beans or raw oatmeal; they are soaked and then cooked. Soaking almost entirely eliminates phytic acid. So why must we eliminate beans and grains?

  • Paleo is a good one. Plant based diet too. Mix the two and you are eating real foods real vitamins and minerals and macro nutrients and eating close to what humans were designed to eat. Minus the cooked food but close enough

  • The “paleo” diet is a death wish. This information was quite poor and shallow.By eating flesh, we are consuming IGF and other cancer promoting compounds.

  • forget this paleo diet scam, the most recent study shows that people who don’t eat enough carb have a shorter life expectançy than those who eat too much of it, 55% of your calories should come from complex carb, keto diet is unhealthy on the long term and will shorten your life big time

  • Just wonderful, I have been researching “

  • The Paleo Diet book such a cool cookbook with delicious recipes that you won’t feel like you are on a diet!
It’s been 2 weeks using the guide and I am quite happy with the results: https://bit.ly/2MkWxIX

  • The biggest problem I think this diet has is being wholly built upon an appeal to nature fallacy. Why would we want to live and eat the same way cave people, who lived to the ripe old age of around 30 did? And some foods are eliminated for such seemingly arbitrary reasons, like peanuts and other legumes.

  • i definitely like the idea of cutting out processed foods. The “paleo” diet is essentially a “caveman/cavewoman” diet, eating how humans would have eaten thousands of years ago. Which means no Doritos or Dr. Pepper.

  • THE PALEO DIET WAS NEVER ABOUT ONLY EATING LARGE PORTIONS OF MEAT. IT WAS ABOUT EATING NATURAL FRESH FOODS THAT COME AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE TO MIMIC OUR HUNTER GATHERER ANCESTORS. IT EXCLUDES ALL GRAINS, LEGUMES AND DAIRY AND TABLE SUGAR. THE AMOUNT OF CARBOHYDRATE ONE EATS DEPENDS ON EACH INDIVIDUALS GOALS, HEALTH ISSUES AND ACTIVITY LEVEL. YOU ARE EATING FRESH MEAT, AND SEAFOOD, A WIDE VARIETY OF VEGETABLES, MOSTLY LOW SUGAR FRUITS, NUTS, SEEDS AND HEALTHY NATURAL FATS FROM AVOCADO, TALLOW, LARD, DUCK FAT ETC. SOME PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT DAIRY SENSITIVE USE BUTTER TOO. DO NOT FORGET IF YOU EAT LOW CARB YOU MAY NEED TO ADD EXTRA SODIUM TO YOUR DIET AND MAKE SURE YOU GET ADEQUATE POTASSIUM AND MAGNESIUM TOO..

  • The more I learn about Paleo, and the short stint I did with it last month, I’m ready to make the change to a fully paleo lifestyle. It feels good to put in your body

  • Just wonderful, I been tryin to find out about “how many calories per day on paleo diet” for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about Fanabraal Toned Tiraspol (should be on google have a look )? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my friend got amazing success with it.

  • got to love the research cited. Oh wait, no research? I guess I’ll just take his word for it. Oh people in the paleolithic era died at 30? This diet is guaranteed to have you live until 30.

  • There’s JUST ONE REASON you might fail on the Paleo Diet and it has everything to do with your ability to make delicious food, FAST.

  • The recipes are healthy but besides that the ones i haven’t tried (yet) look soooo good. To me it’s not even a diet it’s just good food.

  • Ive lost some weight on paleo. Im losing more inches in the waist faster than what Im seeing as weight loss on the scale. Big salads with a little cheese in it or chicken. Avacado is great in salads! I guess Ill have to give up cheese on paleo. Ill use the avacado instead.

Personally, I think all of these “diets” are completely ridiculous and unnecessary. All that you need to do in order to be healthy and fit is eat a sensible diet and get plenty of exercise. It’s NOT that complicated. If you are trying to lose weight, then you simply need to burn more calories than you take in each day. By getting plenty of exercise, you will increase your basal metabolic rate and you will burn an even higher number of calories throughout the course of the day and even while you sleep. You don’t need some stupid fad diet to accomplish these things. Just stay away from the fast food, sodas, sugary, processed junk, and simple carbohydrates in general. Those are the things that will spike your blood sugar and lead to diabetes and weight gain. Eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains and you will be golden. You don’t need some ridiculous diet with a fancy name to be fit and healthy.

  • GMO grains were DEFINITELY not a part of their diet nor was Monsantos hormone altering chemicals which they spray on those crops and go into our bodies. peace.

  • Many say the fructose is the bad side of PALEO and that was my main concern. However, when you couple PALEO with OMAD then that allows your body to easily burn through the glucose rather quickly and return to ketosis. This will train your body daily to use both methods of energy, carbs and ketones.

  • What do you think about eating un-processed grain? There is evidence to say hunter gatherers picked and consumed small amounts of grain, but most paleo diets avoid it altogether.

  • Paleo is more than just a diet.
Paleo is a smart, adaptive, evolutionary approach to improve any aspect of your health.
Paleo can help you lose weight, improve athletic performance, sleep quality & mood, reduce inflammation & arthritis, address autoimmune conditions, mental health problems, and even reduce your risk of heart disease, cancer, and diabetes.

  • Foods to Avoid During the Paleo Diet
The list of foods prohibited in the Paleolithic diet is rather consistent. Avoid sweet products, dairy products, cereals and their derivatives such as flour, cakes and bread… Avoid, also, industrial products like soda, pre-prepared meals, and crisps and other appetizer biscuits. You will also have to eliminate from your diet all cooked or extracted oils, legumes such as beans, soybeans or chickpeas…

  • Its true, I stopped dairy and started breathing properly, also my stomach used to be always bloated but after cutting out grains the bloating stopped. And I workout everyday only now my abs show because the bloating is gone. When I start eating grains again it bloats though so for me there will not be a cheat day and im happy this way

  • Paleo diet is one of the primitive diet but is proven effective to lose weight and keep the body healthy. The principle of paleo diet is back to nature, that is back to nature. We can eat whatever is provided by nature and should avoid processed foods like fast food and junk food.
Fast food is more delicious, but can trigger various kinds of health problems such as obesity, distended stomach and various other diseases.
Perhaps this is what caused the ancient humans more healthy, strong and not susceptible to disease. Because ancient food is still natural and has not been contaminated by unhealthy ingredients.

I’m Paleo and no dairy as well.
um 40 something and feel 20
look in great shape as well.
    keep up the great work.
    happy holidays

  • You can have dairy. There is no clear timeline of what is considered paleo people. Plus there is no evidence that cavemen didnt drink a mammoths milk after killing it. Ive slaughtred a cow that was nursing and the udder was removed and the milk was in tack inside the removed udder. You could actually pull on the teat of the removed undder and milk would still come out. I punctured it and I saw milk collected inside.

So i put myself in a cavemans shoes (i know they had no shoes) when i slaughtered that cow I would have used every bit of it and I would have drunk the milk of this animal i just killed.

  • Ok I’m in. My resolution 2019. Only problem I have is that I love FF cottage cheese and berries for breakfast. How bad is it if that is all I do with dairy products?

  • Whole Foods Plant Based lifestyle is above all of these different types of diet. The China Study.
Diet is not long term sustainable, Paleo might work for couple months, but in long term nothing good will come out of it.

  • I started the paleo diet a little over two months ago. This last month I started a weight loss challenge at work, and this year I actually have a shot, I’m fifteen pounds down for this one, twenty in total, and while it’s a little scary to lose weight that fast without trying, once the challenge is over I’m definitely going to be widening my diet and slow that down a bit. I’m gluten and lactose intolerant and soy is becoming too scary to eat, so this diet is perfect for me.

  • Foods to Avoid During the Paleo Diet

  • Its not really a diet. Its just how your supposed to eat. Meat, fruits, vegetables, nuts, and berries. I think common sense would tell ya that you don’t need all the sugary breads and pastas. Eating like a cave man is pretty dead on. They didn’t sit around eating pop tarts and cinnamon toast crunch for breakfast or hot pockets for dinner. Eat real food not out of a box. There’s no sense in hating on it like its a fad diet. Eating real food is not a new trend or a fad it’s just that most people don’t do it anymore.

  • Winner of a video, I been tryin to find out about “caveman paleolithic diet recipes” for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of Elijaarqey Paleo Smasher (just google it )? • Paleo helped me changed my fertility! After eating clean with no inflammatory foods I “became regular” after 3 or 4 months and had no issues conceiving! Now I’m pregnant with #3. Of course now I have cravings but will start again once baby is born!

  • i can’t wait to start my paleo journey this monday! i recently discovered that i’m sensitive to gluten and many of the unnecessary additives and preservatives in pre-packaged and processed foods so switching to paleo just made the most sense. i’m doing lots of grocery shopping and meal planning this weekend and i cannot wait! wish me luck!

  • I went from 164 lbs to 117 lbs

  • I wanna give paleo a try… Nice video I just sub to your Channel now, I have pcos, gluten ish serious pains all over my body. I love your videos and it’s helpful if there is anyway you could help me I will be grateful. Am suffering so much from pains

  • Paleo Shmaleo. It gimmick gimmick gimmick! Everything has to have a name and a gimmick to be able to sell
“stuff” connected to it. Just eat what people are supposed to have always eaten—meat, eggs, vegetables, fruit, nuts and seeds with some grains. Make it organic, miniumly processed, with no preservatives, colors, flavors, enhancers, or anything artificial—and exercise! Our family of 2 parents and 8 children have happily and healthfully eaten this way for 41 years. No flues, colds, ear infections, asthma, and zero cavities essentially ever. Maybe 8-10 total small events altogether cough or runny nose type for the 10 of us for as long as all the kids were at home.

  • I have been on keto since 3 months and i have lost only 4kg in first month, then i am stuck. I have discovered, that i am Endomorph and the best diet for me is paleo. Ist it right?

  • Thanks for the erudite talk on Paleo diet. This has many benefits over Keto diet. However, the best diet is the diet, easy to adhere to lifelong. Balanced diet is the best diet, having the best adherence, availability, affordability, palatability, and nutritive value.

  • This might be a healthy diet, but no one can claim a caveman was never overweight. Lowland Gorilla’s our closest primate relative get excessively overweight, and they eat nothing but leaves and termite.

  • I have been making use of this super MAC system utility “ronko unique only” (Google it) to maximize my MacBook Pro for two years. Ideal home use repair software in the marketplace. • In the absence of carbs, glucose (energy) is derived from fat and proteins as well. It is a process called gluconeogenesis. and If absolutely necessary, we are fully capable of taking non-carbohydrate sources and creating carbohydrate structures.

  • thank you for spreading truth about the Paleo diet! My whole family has been on the Paleo diet for over 4 years and it is amazing for my health. • This type of diet has helped me thrive’ for the last 5 years.
Matt Embry has been eating this way for 22 years thriving.
Thank God’ to all of our ancestors who came before us.
Better to begin anywhere than continue eating a standard American diet.

For most people the basic grocery store is what we all can achieve.
For anyone wondering there is no legumes eaten.
No beans, peas, chickpeas, lentils, soybeans, or peanuts.
Hard shelled nuts only’ Lean meats, red less often, fish.

Vitamin D3 & K2 are essential. Inexpensive. Pervasively needed.
They are for Bone and Heart health. If on blood thinners,
Check with your doctor. Be well’

  • My only issue is the no legumes. Legumes are a common denominator in healthy populations world wide, so I will continue to eat them

  • The woman in blue said that she feels there is a lot of rules:D What? May be it’s a set up question, doesn’t matter, but it’s just well balanced diet, nothing special. Yes, it’s not pizza for breakfast, cake for lunch and chips for dinner. No, there is no point of trying. You do it or you don’t and you stick to healthy lifestyle for life.

  • Idk where these fake rules came from. Ping pong ball of peanut butter?? Peanut butter is a legume which isn’t part of the paleo diet. Opt for sunflower seed butter. We are looking to avoid inflammation and did-ease my friends.

  • THE PALEO DIET WAS NEVER ABOUT ONLY EATING LARGE PORTIONS OF MEAT. IT WAS ABOUT EATING NATURAL FRESH FOODS THAT COME AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE TO MIMIC OUR HUNTER GATHERER ANCESTORS. • This might be a healthy diet, but no one can claim a caveman was never overweight. Lowland Gorilla’s our closest primate relative get excessively overweight, and they eat nothing but leaves and termite.

  • Great video! There’s a recipe book I use called PaleoHacks Cookbook that only costs $10, you can check it out here: https://bit.ly/2NoMeVz

  • This diet is completely artificial and doesnt have anything to do wirh evokution. Why dont call it “modern diet”? It does not emulate evolution at all. Human evolution is based on survival and diversity. Our ancestors ate whatever thhey couls justo to survive. This diet is the opposite to diversity, and is based on meat of domesticated animal who have modified genes due to artifical evolution.

Human evolution was based on survival, lack of food, and diversity. This diet is just the opposite, plus is based on modern meat which is coming from genetically modified animals who did not exit ten thousands years ago, their genes were transformed by humans through artificial evolution.

  • having trouble with the paleo diet you won’t once you get this cookbook which includes all health benefits http://bit.ly/Feelgreatnow

  • The “paleo” diet is a death wish. This information was quite poor and shallow.By eating flesh, we are consuming IGF and other cancer promoting compounds.

  • Fish, salad, vegetables and fruit, plenty of water and some exercise. Lost 20 lbs in 5 weeks.
Increased the amounts, stabilized the weight and feel great.

  • Meat, vegetables, salads, and good fats! No carbs no sugars no dairy. With paleo I lost 22 pounds in 1 month. It my skin cleared up as well!

  • U are wrong. Not the food did the caveman fit(I am sure they didn’t found every day food like today supermarket), the MOVEMENT did (those calories burned every day trying to find food)
The caveman(paleo) was almost in a caloric deficit +movement, not so much food and boommm… Fit. .
    PALEO DIET it’s expensive DUDE

  • Is Paleo the next big dietary fad for a reason, or is it just today’s big trend? Here is an article about the pros and cons, truths and lies about the way of life. Also some delicious recipes whether or not you’re fully Paleo! heers friends! http://bit.ly/2hVZDWl

Lookyou’re on YouTube right? Go look up Kalahari Bushmen
    Go look up Aborigines
    Go look up Pigmies
Look at what these hunter/gatherer societies REALLY eat
Many vegetables, fruits. The men usually hunt and the women gather all day providing much sustenance
The idea that cavemen ate mostly protein is somebodies pipe dream

Please don’t believe me go search for yourselves

  • No grains… what about China being able to gather rice in China? Their ancestors had rice (grain). The body uses carbohydrates (its preferred source of energy). It sounds like the diet is just getting rid of junk foods.

Instead of fixing it by hand, they advised me to make use of this exceptional system utility for MAC “ronko unique only” (Google it). The application was really efficient in fixing just about all software problems. Best features of it are Cleaning, Securing, Optimizing your Mac, anti virus, spyware..and a lot of more.

  • essentially: no grains/no complex carbs/no gluten, occasional starch from potatoe, 50% veggies, protein, and 1 serving of healthy fats like nuts/avacado/healthy plant oil (olive/avacado/flax seed). Replace things with: pasta-squash, rice-cauliflower, bread-lettuce leafs, etc.

  • I mean, this is extremely a good diet, esp bc it removed all processed foods. I mean I think we should combine this with the vegan diet. It will probably be nearly the best diet.

  • I am back to following the Paleo diet and needed some reminders as to exactly how to get started again. Thank you for the easy to understand guidelines! Part of getting back on a food plan is to try not feeling too overwhelmed!

  • ive been eating cleaner for awhile…thanks to flacity (yes a youtuber) and im kinda doing the peleo diet in a lot of ways…but not fully since i cant find/afford grass fed beef and pasture-raised pork i do however eat pasture-raised chicken now and it taste so much better and i feel better

  • Hey I love this video thanks! I’m think of going with the Paleo diet. I want to begin my journey, but I am not sure how. What do you think about Paleo diet paid programs I keep reading reviews about how they speed up the process and make you stick to the diet but I can’t make up my mind because of the price. I understand it has a ton of features compared and people seem to love it but the price seems like a lot. The program I’m considering is called Paleo hacks bit.ly/HackThePaleoDiet. I would love an opinion on such programs from a more experienced person than me. I just want to know if I really need it to be consistent and stick to this diet. Go ahead and please give me an advice! I would love an opinion on Paleo programs from a more experienced person than me. • She needs to learn how to speak, by enunciating properly, which involves opening the jaw instead of slurring and errring her words. A pity really as some people really click on these things because they need advice.

  • Thanks for this great and well presented video. I was feeling sick and tired and exhausted despite sleeping a lot. I recently threw away all the processed and overcooked food and bust out my juicer and started juicing for life: ginger, kale, celery, carrots, beets, parsley, cilantro, etc. And bingo, after just a couple days of juicing I feel alive and energetic and most of the health symptoms seem to have disappeared. Went to the doctor and he was no help whatsoever, all he wanted to do is send me to some specialist, in order to bilk the insurance company out of funds. Now I will cancel that appointment with the stomach specialist.

For the time being I have eliminated not only dairy and legumes and processed foods, but meat as well, except for wild caught salmon. I did not realize I was doing paleo when I started juicing fruits and vegetables and cutting out all the junk, but I was actually doing paleo and I feel great. Try it people, your body will thank you. SUB.

  • I’ve been Paleo for 5 years now. I still break out and eat wheat products occasionally but I stick to my diet about 90% of the time. It’s taught me heaps about my body and still learning every day.

  • Why mansplain and not add anything when you could have let the expert you invited speak. I didn’t come away from this video learning anything new or interesting.

  • I disagree on one thing: that there isn’t much prep. I have never spent so much time in the kitchen and washed so many dishes since I did my first Whole30 and then paleo.

    But I never felt better.

  • It’s hard to take you serious about this listening to someone w purple hair. But doctor wants me on it for 3 months. We will see. If only I can find tasty meals w the spices and butter, I will be fine. I do love cream for favoring.

  • I have just started a month trial on the paleo diet. I have coeliacs disease so I can’t have most processed foods but I will miss eating chocolate

  • I mean, this is extremely a good diet, esp bc it removed all processed foods. I mean I think we should combine this with the vegan diet. It will probably be nearly the best diet.

  • forget this paleo diet scam, the most recent study shows that people who don’t eat enough carb have a shorter life expectançy than those who eat too much of it, 55% of your calories should come from complex carb, keto diet is unhealthy on the long term and will shorten your life big time

  • Great video! There’s a recipe book I use called PaleoHacks Cookbook that only costs $10, you can check it out here: https://bit.ly/2NoMeVz

Pepper.

  • There’s JUST ONE REASON you might fail on the Paleo Diet and it has everything to do with your ability to make delicious food, FAST.

  • Paleo works great if you are disciplined and eliminate all table sugar. As an added benefit, after a while my bathroom visits didn’t stink anymore.

  • Whole Foods Plant Based lifestyle is above all of these different types of diet. The China Study.
Diet is not long term sustainable, Paleo might work for couple months, but in long term nothing good will come out of it.

  • I lost 80 pounds on Paleo, in 8 months, its fantastic but they do have one thing wrong about starches, You are only allowed to eat sweet potatoes and not regular potatos because the carbs and starch in regular is much higher. Keep away from flour products and regular potato products…

  • I’m about to start a new program and they mentioned it is Paleo-based. I really don’t like fish so I’m hoping that isn’t a must follow item! Sounds like most of it I’ll be fine with though.

  • I’m not arguing when I pose this question. Who says that what cavemen ate is the perfect diet for modern people? I know that most of what is sold in grocery stores is processed and not really fit for human consumption, but, prehistoric humans ate only what they could forage and hunt. BTW… I could do this diet.

  • Thank for the information and recipe for healthy and delicious meal.I like healthy food especially fish.People are having success losing weight with healthy way by poleo diet.

  • You just said early in the video no grains for Paleo. Then at 5:16 you said the true paleo is, swim, walk, flies and if it’s grain you can eat it what????

  • ok it sounds good but I can’t imagine going thru life without using a-little bit of grain and diary.how about using gluten free pasta and breads and oats? for breakfast I use gluten free oats with a-little bit of cream and cinnamon and to sweeten it I use one packet of stevia and add in a sliced banana. so how about it can I eat this and not break any rules?let me know ok thanks.

  • I wish Dr Oz would stop devoting so many episodes to fad diets… paleo, keto, on n on. If this is the best you can do, perhaps a different tv show format is in order. I used to be a fan, I used to learn from your show. Now, you’re just like any other youtuber (but with a set and audience) making a living with confusing information with every different diet you showcase. It’s maddening… and disappointing. I think you can do better.

  • Lectins can be almost entirely eliminated through normal cooking. We don’t eat raw beans or raw oatmeal; they are soaked and then cooked. Soaking almost entirely eliminates phytic acid. So why must we eliminate beans and grains?

  • Great run down. I was Paleo and strict except 1 cheat meal a week. I was that way for 3 years and lost over 100 lbs. I was in phenominal shape. Once I got back on the SAD I gained it mostly back. I’m going to go for it again. In day 2 now and really hungry even though I’m on zero calorie restriction. Gonna take some time to change my metabolism back over again.

  • Potato spikes my insulin, which stops weight loss. The other veggies look fine, which is the same as keto, pretty much. Cheese is permitted on keto ha!

  • The first wheat farming was over 12000 years ago in iraq and pershia, Americans certainly have n knowledge of history, they also drank milk and made cheese, they never had beef pork and farmed chickens

  • Paleo is a good one. Plant based diet too. Mix the two and you are eating real foods real vitamins and minerals and macro nutrients and eating close to what humans were designed to eat. Minus the cooked food but close enough

  • mix paleo and fasting, practicing regular fasting periods will get you into ketosis while paleo will help you feel full and prevent over eating when you do

  • Recommended Cooking During the Paleo Diet
It is clear that, during the Paleolithic era, if fire already existed, our ancestors continued to eat mainly raw foods. If you can actually eat as much raw food as possible, such as vegetables in salads, you are still allowed to cook the food, but take care to preserve it as much as possible. For this, go for steaming or cooking at low heat, without the addition of fat, which will preserve the vitamins of the food.

  • it is easy. veggies, meat, fruite, seeds, nuts, healthy fat like avocado, olive oils. everything else is not necessary. all the other stuff makes yr blood sugars spike.

  • Why mansplain and not add anything when you could have let the expert you invited speak. I didn’t come away from this video learning anything new or interesting.

  • This type of diet has helped me thrive’ for the last 5 years.
Matt Embry has been eating this way for 22 years thriving.
Thank God’ to all of our ancestors who came before us.
Your audio is very user friendly for peoples eyes & ears’
I like that you encourage people to just begin at the grocery store.

Be well’
