All you have to do is mix the yogurt and rolled oats together in the evening. Pour the oatmeal into a jar and place it in the refrigerator. Then go to bed (when you’re ready, of course). When you wake up, open.

Ingredients 1 cup old fashioned oats 1 cup vanilla greek yogurt 3/4 cup almond milk 1 tsp vanilla extract. Rather than the traditional method of boiling or microwaving old fashioned oats (see this how-to-make-oatmeal post), Overnight Oats are mixed with milk, yogurt, and other flavoring ingredients. They are then left overnight. Directions Combine milk, oats, Greek yogurt, chia seeds, honey, and cinnamon in a 1/2-pint jar with a lid; cover and shake until Refrigerate oatmeal, 8 hours to overnight.

Mix together old-fashioned rolled oats with liquid (milk) and, if you’d like, a sweetener. Overnight, the oats absorb some of the liquid and soften up, becoming delightfully chewy. Part of the. To a 12 ounce mason jar, layer in the dry oatmeal, coconut, pinch of salt, yogurt and milk. Stir well with a spoon. Top with the blueberries. Screw on the lid and store overnight in the refrigerator. Instructions In bowl or jar, stir together oats, milk, yogurt, chia seeds, vanilla, salt, maple syrup, and almond or peanut butter (if using).

Tightly cover and refrigerate for at least 5 hours or. Stir the oats, yogurt, milk, chia seeds, lemon juice and blueberries together in a mason jar or bowl. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Step 2 In the morning, stir 1 or 2 tablespoons. Vanilla 1 In a small sauce pot, heat milk over low heat until warm. Pour over oats in a heatproof dish.

  • I’ve tried some of these and although flavors are great…they look nothing like these staged beauties. You have to either cram the toppings in to so the lid can close making it super hard to eat, or you need to use a larger mason jar which requires a super long spoon.

  • To keep the bananas from turning brown, simply toss the cut fruit with the fresh pineapple in its juice before adding to the oatmeal. There is enough vitamin C in it to prevent the brown discoloration of the bananas.: > )

  • Just a little thing to keep in mind with chocolate:
    Don’t get them wet if you’re going to store it and actually do an overnight oatmeal.
    They melt and turn pretty nasty.
    Either add them in the morning before eating/leaving the house or just use cocoa nibs! They aren’t as sweet of course, but they stay cruncy like chopped nuts and if you like barely sweetened chocolate, they are wonderful.
