  • Raw eggs should be generally safe if you eat cage free/vegetarian fed eggs. I have been eating raw eggs in my protein drinks for 3 years with no issues

  • I have been on a quest to accomplished the Vince gironda steak and egg diet… This is a lean bulking plan… Started is 12 oz of me and 12 eggs a day and then I bumped it up 216 oz of meat and 18 eggs a day and then I tweaked it again eating a full 36 eggs a day split between 4 meals… 9 a.m. a 9 egg shake with one cup of half and half cream and zero calorie hazelnut flavor… 12 p.m. 9 scrambled eggs and 8 oz of meat, 3 p.m. homemade Shake consisting of 9 eggs, one cup of half and half cream and hazelnut flavor. 6 p.m. 6 scrambled eggs and 8 oz of meat… On August first I will attempt to add in an additional one pound of meat and I will snack on throughout the day. I am trying to fast at least 12 hours a day workout with weights 1 hour a day,and walk on a treadmill for 1 hour a day. Without consuming the additional 1 lb of me on August 1st I am currently eating 5000 calories a day. I would also like to start once a week having a carb fuel day and start taking liver pills on a daily basis… Oh yeah I can’t forget I probably use 5 tablespoons of butter a day for a condiment… by September I am hoping to have the full bench jerhonda diet in full swing

  • Neuropsych major here just to add in a little tidbit for 6:55 your brain is actually the organ that uses up the most energy in your body (around 20% of total expenditure) which makes sense since it’s the one regulating everything going on (for the most part). Another factoid: glucose is your brain’s primary source of energy which is why carbs are really important to have in your diet. If you force your body into ketogenesis your brain needs to turn those ketones into forms it can use which takes more time and energy and is likely why when people start a keto diet they tend to have headaches and sluggishness.
    P.S. I’m just a student so feel free to correct me if anything I wrote above isn’t completely accurate:)

I tweaked mine though with some cinnamon and pure vanilla extract with some keto friendly sweetener. When they come out of the over and still warm, I topped them off with some mixed butter and cream cheese. Total game changer for a keto cinnamon bun. I don’t eat alot of sweets so it’s really up to you how much sweetener you want to add. Delicious.

    I am in undergrad for exercise science and going into nutrition to become an RD. Personally, applying SOME of the food combining methods has helped me, but I wanted to just outline that the examples she gave at the end all actually align with kenzie’s method of food combining! I’m not sure if the exact “food combining” principle doesn’t align with hers at that point. However in kenzie’s food combining guidelines she definitely does combine legumes with starchy vegetables and vitamin C (vegetables not fruits) rich sources. She doesn’t combine starchy vegetables with proteins, and i have my questions about that, however, because she follows a plant based diet (as do i) that’s not as much of a concern or option in the first place.

  • I have been on a quest to accomplished the Vince gironda steak and egg diet… This is a lean bulking plan… Started is 12 oz of me and 12 eggs a day and then I bumped it up 216 oz of meat and 18 eggs a day and then I tweaked it again eating a full 36 eggs a day split between 4 meals… 9 a.m. a 9 egg shake with one cup of half and half cream and zero calorie hazelnut flavor… 12 p.m. 9 scrambled eggs and 8 oz of meat, 3 p.m. homemade Shake consisting of 9 eggs, one cup of half and half cream and hazelnut flavor. 6 p.m. 6 scrambled eggs and 8 oz of meat… On August first I will attempt to add in an additional one pound of meat and I will snack on throughout the day. I am trying to fast at least 12 hours a day workout with weights 1 hour a day,and walk on a treadmill for 1 hour a day. Without consuming the additional 1 lb of me on August 1st I am currently eating 5000 calories a day. I would also like to start once a week having a carb fuel day and start taking liver pills on a daily basis… Oh yeah I can’t forget I probably use 5 tablespoons of butter a day for a condiment… by September I am hoping to have the full bench jerhonda diet in full swing

  • I freeze my eggs… not in the shell though…. i have tiny little containers i use that are just the right size for one egg once the eggs are frozen in the containers I then transfer the frozen eggs out of the containers into a large zip-lock bag freezing the eggs and putting the eggs into a large bag allows me to continue using the containers until I’ve frozen all the eggs I want to freeze….. easy…

  • I discovered this type of food-combining in 2012, when I got really into orthorexia. There were so many rules, my brain struggled to keep all that information in (on a unintentionally 800 kcal diet). Also, I got into this clean eating thing with this acidic/alkaline food shit. I was bloated so much every night, it hurt and I looked like a balloon though I combined right. Not to mention I was so ravenous all the time, I thought I was broken for wanting to eat more food. That leaded to occasional non-healthy-food binging like 6 pieces of cake in a sitting or a whole chocolate bar a day or whatever). Afterwards I felt always awfull.
    I suffered like half a year with this, keeping up with all those rules and eventually found out I had some fructose intolerances going on. And histamine. And lactose. Keeping those intolerances in mind, it got a little better, but never went away completely. I used to bloat daily, and I was so embaressed to fart all the time. It sucks balls!!! Why can’t I eat those really nice smoothie bowls with fun toppings without turning into a bag of wind?!
    About 8 years later, now, I come to realize, that I might have a slight form of IBS. Keeping an eye on that, I tried to find out what’s triggering my issues. It took YEARS to learn and re-learn all that food-related stuff. It’s never easy.

It almost seems unfair to judge a diluted social media influencer version to the book by Kimberly that is more eloquently stated and supported.   • I tried the 21 day reset for about a week and I honestly felt great! I definitely did not do it for long enough to have a fully formed opinion on it though. Looking back now, it seems kind of ridiculous. I went out and spent like $100 on groceries or something and I didn’t even like most of the foods.   • I hoped so much that you will say something about the raw eggs. I love drinking raw eggs, it’s easier for me and even when I’m full it’s not a problem to drink 2 eggs. But from my internet researches I understand that if the egg is not cooked I will absorb less than 50 percent of the proteins in it. Do you think this is true and if it’s true is it only about the proteins or all the nutrients?
