Males throughout evolution have survived and been the protectors of their families. This requires higher levels of cortisol. It’s only natural that we have hair loss or higher levels of cortisol.   • I became stressed because i was working out tooo much. I did hiit 5 days a week, sometimes twice a day for 3 years. On top of that i wasnt eating enough. My body began to break down slowly. I am in a chronic state now… i have digestion issues, im irritable, i have hair loss, muscle loss, muscle and joint inflammation, cant sleep even tho I’m tired AND ive gained weight esp in my stomach and hips. now, im even more stressed that ive gained weight.   • Cortisol is absolutely required to live. You have a post prandial increases in cortisol when you eat and can have elevations in cortisol in response to stress, in most of our cases this will be exercise. Its a natural response and required response within a a normal daily rhythm. Dont worry about it! If you had pathological leves of cortisol that could actually catalolise muscle you would have alot more to worry about than the lack of gains!!

    That stuff made you freaking feel powerful… And Everybody was buying it and it was expensive… and it was simply protein powder!

  • Estrogen blockers doesn’t increase testosterone production but it increses the number of free testosterone you have. Estrogen binds with testosterone so if your taking estrogen blocker your reducing estrogen therefore less testosterone will be binded up with them

  • Cortisol is Cortisol its the same when induced by exercise its the stress hormone, so for example if your a stress case with a stressful lifestyle I dont think adding additional stress to your body would be advised, taking vitamin C and magnesium post and drinking carbs and BCAAs intra would help but you dont want to make it worse. Believ me I speak from experience

  • Hi. Thomas I am definitely not an expert on this, but I have read and studied a bit about soy. According to Walter Veith the estrogens in plants are phytoestrogenes and does not have any effect on our hormone levels. I,d like to hear your opinion on the “other side ” of this argument that soy influense our estrogen levels. In my studies I concluded that levels of estrogen in meat and dairy is the real culprit. I wil leave a link if you would like to weigh the argument against soy being bad. Would like to know what your opinion is on this.
