  • please be careful, there is a lot of evidence out there that you SHOULD NOT store chopped up onions!!!! When I chop them up, I freeze them, but don’t just keep it in your fridge. Onions seem to take in all the bacteria around!

  • For the ceramic knife hack she is NOT saying the apples won’t turn brown at all but what she says is that the “ceramic knife is going to HELP reduce oxidation” ( 2:13 ). What I get from what she was saying is that using a ceramic knife is going to slow down the process of oxidation rather than stop the process

  • With apples if you want to take them on the go pre sliced cut them up then put them back around the core and wrap it in a paper towel and secure it all together with an elastic.

  • If you put a popsicle stick in each little cube you will have smoothie pops…fun-sized, for late night cravings….or for whenever…cuz why not! I do these for my kids but I use the actual popsicle containers, because the ice cubes are just to small. But way better than those sugary pops at the store.

  • Actually, steel knives transfer ions onto the fruit which causes the oxidation to occur at a more rapid rate. Ceramic knives don’t have ions, so it helps the cut fruit stay fresh longer, which is what she said. I’m pretty sure she’s intelligent enough to know that ALL fruit goes bad eventually. But whatever, people got to jump to conclusions before researching ����‍♀️

    So, I was thrown by her tip about ceramic knives preventing browning—sounded like garbage to me since oxidation causes browning. While her tip is still misleading, it does seem that using ceramic knives can help hold of browning. Still going to brown though.

  • bananas, sugar and some potassium (if you need potassium so much milk is higher in it than bananas), 500g of OATS?! That’s literally only fiber. You cannot digest that, it’s gonna cause leaky gut. Protein and zinc? Zinc is found in oysters, way much than oats, oats have never been proven to have any protein let alone any other nutrient, if anything, they have inhibitors which will cause lack of nutrition. Frozen berries? So berries, but with no hydration just the sugar? Those are not antioxidants, they are plant toxins. Look up sv3rige’s video on it. And let’s not forget the fact that we can’t even absorb 0,01% of the ‘antioxidants’ they actually have. Of course, protein powder which causes cancer, digesting depression and balding from the DHT increase. 1:45 they contain linatine, and are nothing more than fiber and toxins, diets high in omega 6 also cut DHA absorption in close to half. Flax seeds are very high in the omega-3 fatty acid alpha-linolenic acid (ALA). Which means we cannot convert ALA, so you’re not getting anything from them. I won’t go further, this is enough to show how ridiculous this video is. No nutrition whatsoever. Just processed carbs and indigestion.

  • olive oil exposure to high heat is very unhealthy.. it turns into carcinogenic.. you may use coconut oil instead because it is healthy and stable upon high temp. ����

  • Just a little tip when making that bolgnaise sauce if you fry the onions and mushrooms first then add the meat and cook till the meat is browned you will have a lot more flavour ��

  • I hate the bacon splashing grease in my oven, so I put a sheet of parchment under the bacon, and another over the bacon as well. The bacon still crisps great and does not mess up my oven as much! Thanks for your tips, thought I’d share mine.:D

  • Thank you! This hacks are great! I don’t know if is a hack, but I write and enumerate all the steps of my meal preap (including wash vegetables and so) and check when I’m done with everyone. In that way, I don’t forget anything but also, I feel I finish faster because I don’t have to think about the next step, just follow my list.

  • I like your hacks. I have one that I use all the time. I buy milk in gallons. I then fill large canning jars with the milk and put in the freezer. This way I don’t have milk going sour when it nears the end of the jug. When I need some I just take out the night before to thaw.

  • Just bought the Meal Planner and Grocery List bundle! I have been searching and searching for something like this for so long. Everything else has tons of ads, and just isn’t what I wanted. I home school three kids, and we do all sorts of cooking together and this helps make it SO much easier to organize!

  • If I’m cooking meat (like a salsa chicken) and rice, I’ll cook them both in my Instant Pot at the same time with the meat on the bottom, and the rice in a covered container on my egg rack.

  • I found ur channel through your blogs and i love your videos cuz u gave great tips. Don’t take this the wrong way I’m only saying this bc I want u to get more views as you deserved. Maybe u can make ur videos more engaging by using more “action” clips of making the food or b-roll shot of the food, while narrating over them. And use way less talking clips as you are such a calm and collected lady, your voice would be great over narration. Most of the high views talking video i noticed are people who are very animated and exaggerated when they talk which I don’t think is your thing.

  • I freeze in ice cube trays items that I do not use often or that are coming to expiry date. Tomato paste, buttermilk, eggs (cracked open), sour cream, pesto, etc. Than grab a couple cubes when needed for a recipe. Saves on waste and units are premeasured.

  • 3:31 vitamin a is an animal hormone. so how on mother earth did you conclude it can ever be found in that manmade toxic vegetable? Also, lectins and glycoalkaloids, and peppers cause membrane damage and lower testosterone. Epic super food! By the way liver is the highest in vitamin A and E, why even bother putting that there, it’s a laughable amount which you couldn’t even absorb.

  • Cutting the fruits and vegetables decreases their nutritional value.The nutrient that suffers the heaviest hit in cut fruits and vegetables is probably vitamin C, although some vitamin A and vitamin E get lost as well. These vitamins are antioxidants, which means they react to oxygen. The peels and coverings naturally protect the antioxidant vitamins inside. Once you break through the protective coverings, the flesh inside is exposed to air and the oxygen reduces the antioxidant vitamins.

  • Rest hacks are good but i have doubts on pre cutting the Onion and storing them.. can you please update on this one if it safe since i read sometime back that pre-cutting Onion is not healthy and can be dangerous

  • I tried the flavoured olive oil ice cubes hack today and it turned out just horrible. The cubes simply would not get out from my ice form. I guess noone wants to have an ice form forever filled with flavoured olive oil (even if it’s unbelievably tasty), so I had to proceed with shaking the form desperately till it literally cracked into pieces. Rest in peace, ice form. 0/10, Wouldn’t recommend this hack. I hope someone finds this comment and saves their time.

  • Onion are natural drawers!!….so, when storing; yes us a glass jar, but….place a piece of parchment paper between the onion and the lid if using a plastic lid!

  • first time in my whole life i saw someone cooking on a stove without frying onions first (until golden), and then adding meat frying it until almost done (adding spices towards the end), and just after that adding the rest of ingredients, depending on what you wanna make. i am serious. it feels so wrong to see all of that added into your pot without firstly frying onions and then the meat with the onions. is this how people from other countries cook?:O

  • How about just make the smoothies and store in mason jars in the freezer? Put one in the fridge before bed and it’s ready to go in the AM ����‍♀️����

  • prechopping onions and storing them raw is so dangerous as onions absorb so much bacteria from the environment. They say that when u go to a new city, eat raw onions of that place.. it will build up immunity against bacteria /viruses of that place and u will not get ill like flu or diarrhea.

  • I order bulk food online but NEVER fresh fruit or veg from supermarket. They always give you the least fresh items. I have a local milk delivery company (glass bottles to your door) they supply fresh local fruit and veg. Amazing.

  • garlic will turn green after its cut and having chopped onions and garlic in your fridge is gonna smell everything up including your milk and juice which is gross unless you have a separate refrigerator for those….

  • Erm… not to rain on your parade, but, chopped onions / garlic, and specially garlic in oil, are very susceptible to developing botulism, which is very dangerous. You should never infuse oil with raw garlic, nor store pre-chopped onion for longer than a few hours to a day!

  • I freeze my prep for my smoothies. It keeps the ingredients from going bad and thickens up my smoothie as well without adding ice.

  • I like this videovery informative! However, you should NOT mince/dice/chop your garlic ahead of time. It degrades the nutrients in the garlic and makes marinades more bitter. For quick chopped garlic/onions, you can buy a hand powered chopper it’s a game changer!

  • 2:09 uhm yes it does, phytoestrogens and goitrogens, hello? It destroys your thyroid and hormones, and is extremely toxic, it lowers testosterone. In many studies, when men work out after eating soy products, their testosterone goes down. You do realize your testosterone goes up a lot from the stress of working out, so that says a lot about soy consumption. That’s why your voice is so high, and mine is very deep. Also, it has no antioxidants. Antioxidants such as glutathione and CoQ10 are found in really high concentrations in animal products. And your body makes your own, the antioxidants you speak of are toxins in plants. Delusions. Watch sv3rige’s video on antioxidants.

  • Double the meal is really easy to do somtimes i am using that hack if we switch meals when a movie is on dimner time and your parents will be at home late the next day.
    If that happens i just put the meal in the microwafe the next day.

  • I’m trying to be vegan with IBS, celiac disease, and loads of food allergies and intolerances. I’ve been eating a lot of soy and beans and having terrible reactions since I’m allergic to legumes, nuts, some seeds, soy, and cannot eat loads of different vegetables. Thank god for brown rice protein powder. Any advice on how to get in enough fat and also protein without having to eat a ton of carbs? Cannot have avocado because of IBS. Honestly, I feel best in rice and potatoes and a little oats but I know I can’t just eat those. Thanks!

Sometimes we are not conscious of those issues, but by informing us you make us aware or answering our questions. Also, thank you for mentioning different cooking equipment aside from the microwave. I’m not sure if you have a video, I have not checked, but maybe a video of you using different cooking equipment such as the conventional oven, double broiler, induction heater, or electric kettle broiler could be useful for individuals that want to use different methods of cooking to save time!

  • For people looking to gain muscle mass, along with this meal I advise you to prepare this protein shake.
    Ingredients:
    2 Bananas preferably somewhat ripe to provide the sweet touch
    200 milliliters of milk or yogurt of your choice
    1 small level tablespoon of pure cocoa free of sugar and milk (do not add much because it is bitter and may taste bad)
    Ice to your liking
    A small teaspoon of cinnamon, is optional
    PS: Cinnamon is not good to consume in excess or much in people who suffer from high blood pressure “hypertension” use it in moderation.

It teaches you how to think like a survivalist so you can make the best call when the chips are down for real.

  • If you pinch the knife blade with your thumb and forefinger right by the handle you’ll have better control of the knife, this will help you cut straight down and have less food waste. (Your palm should be on the handle and fingers on the top near the handle) Also, “oxidation” not “oxidization” just fyi. Also, maybe a little more research on the whole ceramic knife thing… oxidation is caused by oxygen exposure… ��‍♀️

    My diet is not so bad
    Brown rice, chicken, fish, salad. The problem is the amount of snacks, or the times we (wife and myself) don’t cook, so we get burgers. Will start using your methods for meal prepping.

    PS I just wanted to pass along a tip yo those in my (very) limited income situation. Fond out if your town has a restaurant supply and if anyone can buy. Usually wholesale license gets it for cheaper, but I get a much better bargain. For instance, I can waste almost $2 for a tiny bit of kale at the grocery store, or go to Cash & Carry, and for $4, get a huge bag full. Another thing, my daughter had become a junk food addict. Couldn’t get her out of fat food places, and her dad indulged her. So, I introduced her to portobello mushrooms on a George Foreman grill. Her dad complained they’re expensive ($2 for 2 mushrooms was beat deal we could find. ) Guess what. She LOVES them, better than a cheapo junk food hamburger at about $1.35 these days.

The main problem with meal prep is that I roast or steam broccoli and it tastes good when its warm and fresh, but it ends up being soft and hard to stomach when eating the next day.
