  • Hey girl! Long time subscriber. I’m not a huge fan of vegetables, even though I wish I was! Could you do a video about foods that have vegetables you can’t taste? Or easy ways to get veggies in?

  • its really awesome video, thank you so much, but I want to ask can I but in the smoothie peach and not berry or any fruit??please:)

  • Dani! Girl! You are GLOWING!!!
Thanks for the video. I’ve been struggling on making my meal prep more interesting. I’m getting SO bored. My weekdays are very busy so I need to make sure I’m set before it starts.

  • Love, love, love all your tips! I have been trying to get going on meal prep and just fail and get discouraged. So thankful for your channel Happy Easter!

  • Hi. Had a question. I have been doing insanity but am unable to do it every day as per the calender. What should i do? I have a injury that acts up and because of work.

  • Thank you so much for these reminders! I need to be better about using the freezer. One challenge I face, however as many Europeans do is that I have a very small fridge/freezer. Like, it’s the same size as the one I had in my college dorm room. This makes meal prep more challenging because, for example, my freezer is the size of a small shoebox. Any ideas? Thanks so much for all the great content. ❤️ Ann from Veggie Magnifique

  • Hi… I always have an issue with what I should be eating per meal. In have the nutrition book for X3. But it’s pretty intense and hard to understand sometimes. I’ve changed a lot of what I’m eating but I’m only getting about half the calories I should be. And for a lot of the workouts I feel spent before I even get started.
Are there any tips you could give me or examples of meals I should be eating. I can send you my email if necessary.

  • Hi Dani, luv ur tips! Yes, being mothers, the “`Multitask” can drive us nuts sometimes. Totally agree with ur tips on having a tidy kitchen! Kitchen is the “heart” of every home. Music is my best friend in the kitchen. Look forward to more of ur tips videos. Cheers.

  • As soon as I began reading survival guideline “suvo amazing guide” (Google it), there was no stopping me. At the beginning of each chapter, there were real-life scenarios that were also used as basis for the ideas that followed. It really gives you a feeling of actually surviving in an disaster ridden reality. I would suggest this to anybody who really wants to be ready for an upcoming disaster.

  • You have given me so much hope! I’m a petite woman as well and my doctor has advised me to lose some weight because of medical issues. I’ve tried EVERY fad diet and went to a nutritionist and still nothing! I’m so happy to have found your channel because now I feel optimistic again. Your advice is so straight forward and easy to follow. I’m going to stop this crazy “dieting” and follow your example…what do I have to lose?:) Thank you again!

  • OMG!!! I absolutely LOVED this video!! Congrats on 10k!! ❤️❤️❤️ Maybe cuz I grew up with Cheng I found all the extra clips hilarious

  • I’m trying to start meal prepping but looking for some easy recipes to make on a college budget. any suggestions? I’m the same as you, in that if something is good, I can eat it every day of my life.

  • Love meal prep! Great video and tips! new subscriber looking forward to next Saturday, 1:45 I love to prep quinoa for the week and veggies. I also agree that writing it out helps so much. ❤️

  • Thank you for all your tips and yummy looking recipes! I’ve just started changing my meal plan to try and lose some weight, so all your videos have been a great help and source of inspiration <3 I yet need to buy some jars to try out your overnight meals, may I ask what size they are? Are 1 Litre ones enough or too big? Thanks a lot! ♥

  • I also go by my body type and ate to it. I am a high protein (1-1.5g protein per lb I weigh a day) and low carb mainly veggies. I can’t eat potatoes/rice/pasta/beans because they actually make me gain weight so I save those for a cheat meal and that’s when I usually have potatoes or sushi or lo mein. Because my cheat meals are usually Japanese, Chinese or Mexican food or hashbrowns with breakfast instead of just meat/eggs/veg. This video was helpful though. I have lost over 200lbs in the last 3.5 years. I got made fun of in high school for being fit/in shape so when I graduated I packed on over 250lbs. I tried to lose weight many times before but failed, this time around I have built up my esteem and confidence which I found out was the reason why I failed a lot before. It was because those things were lacking. Thanks for your video:D

  • Another good breakfast from you! I’m so glad! You make morning better! My husband is also very grateful. Thank you so much, Liezl.

  • really happy with all the tips!! I’m def going to try them! so nice that almost everything u mentioned is vegan and all the ingredients are super healthy and clean!

  • Hey There! Thank you for this helpful video. By the way, I notice many people keep on talking about Fenoboci Diet Plan (google search it), but I’m not sure if it is good. Have you ever tried Fenoboci Diet Plan? I have heard several extraordinary things about it and my cooworker lost a lot of weight with it, but she refuses to tell me:(

  • I have been eating healthy for the past 2-3 weeks and watching how many calories I’m eating and also been going to the gym after not going for 6 months but I haven’t lost any weight yet! Usually I can see a massive difference in myself when I start eating healthy but not this time! I’m 20 years old and 5″7 any advice?:)

  • Allllll done! You are so inspirational and real, I love following you! I always want to meal prep but feel like it’s so expensive lol, but after watching this video I can see it’s probably more budget safe than going out or buying meals every day to cook! One of my favorite types of food is Mexican food. Ugh, it’s my guilty pleasure lol. Anyways! I entered into your giveaway so here’s my info! Fb name is Candace Ly Yang anddddd my ig is candeeeezy_

  • A turkey, bacon, cheddar breakfast sandwich only has those ingredients on it. That egg concoction had broccoli, red peppers, red onion, garlic powder, and milk! There were a lot more ingredients than what was written on that wrapper. Just list everything since all of this stuff freezes for a month.

  • Hey! I love you vids and have been making heaps of your delicious food. However I think the chia seeds I add to my overnight oats makes it bitter…does this happen to you?

  • What to eat right after a workout? And can you make a video on your sheet with color vegetables (I guess it’s to vary your vegs.) Thanks.

  • Great vid I love how you work out how much to buy. However what I’ve never understood is how it is safe to eat chicken that has been cooked up to 7 days prior? Chicken has 2 days 3 max to be eaten after being cooked. How do you work around this when meal prepping?

  • I like the way you meal prep. I am not a big fan of eating the same meals everyday. But having key ingredients ready to go is very helpful. I tried planning the whole month out before, that was a headache. I like having one or two meals planned and then having what I need to whip up meals on the fly. Your videos on meal prep have been very helpful!

  • I’m not a picky eater so I don’t usually mind what I’m eating as long as it tastes good! But if I had to choose one thing only I’d probably say chicken wings!!!!

Not sure if I’m supposed to put it in one same post but done!!!

I don’t have a favorite food because I love all foods! Food is life! But I would def love to start eating healthier, cleaner & have been planning to start my weight loss journey.

  • Hi liezl thank you for your inspiring videos!!! I really love having healthy fats, healthy grains and healthy protein at each meal, feels very nourishing and satisfying
I have a question. I wake up in the middle of the night and eat 1-4 times, then I’m not hungry for breakfast either. Do you know how to stop night eating? I’m half asleep when I do it.
    Blessings to you

  • My favorite food(s) I’m a super simple and lazy (hahahh) cook so I love baked chicken over a salad OR baked chicken with green beans or sweet potato! I love simplicity.

Also love your relationship with your hubby, y’all are so cute and it’s nice to see married people still having fun!! Who says married life is boring!

  • I wish I have lady like you in My family.
Like a sister, aunt or may be Mom. I wish My Mom could be like you when it comes to food. Your kids are so worthy of a Mom like you.

  • One tip: I would strongly suggest to avoid using folium (if that’s the right word for it) while baking in the oven. There’s scientific evidence that suggests that burning folium may disperse some toxic micro particles. Baking paper, on the other hand, is harmless. Hope that helps! I love your channel!

  • ohmygosh thank you so much for posting this!! I bought your book and it’s been great but prepping on the spot has been so time-consuming. This will help so much!

  • I’m really glad you posted this. I keep revisiting the meal prep idea and I think I am just over complicating everything. I need to simplify. I have a toddler and a baby so it has to be quick and easy. I’m not sure I could accomplish meal prepping in the extent you do because my kids go to the store with me. But I like the idea of prepping before the food gets put away. And to be honest, it would save my health and my money. I’m just really bad at eating healthy because I’m lazy when it comes to food. I like that you said not to give up and to keep trying and tweaking meal prep to fit your life. that’s exactly what I need right now

  • Loved the tips <3 but I have a question since 6 oz of cooked rice is different from 6 oz of uncooked rice, how can you buy 42 oz of rice if when its cooked it will have lower calories?

  • What size are your ball jars you use for the oatmeal? I have a the 8 oz, and the amount of oatmeal and ingredients don’t fit very well? Lol…..

  • Hey girl, just wanted to know where you get your recipes from? I couldn’t find the link before and I struggled to hear it in the video:o thanks in advance!

  • my favorite food is pasta because there are so many different recipes and twists that you can take to make it your own:)

  • Hi Coach Bob! Just wanted to ask, everyday I eat poly and monounsaturated fat 1g over the 0g limit. Is this safe? Or should I change my diet? It never goes more than 2-3 grams. Thanks in advance:)

  • hey there I’m a new and I love your videos already. I’m trying to lose weight, I tried literally everything, yesterday I was thinking about going on one of those pills diet. facebook is bombarding me with suggestions and unbelievable photos, but god knows how I landed on your videos. so instead of pills I’m gonna try the 16 workout challenge and your recipes and follow your suggestions. I hope this is gonna be my chance to change forever. thank you for the inspiration and sorry for my english, I’m from italy.

  • The hard thing for me is that I’m either to tired to cook or nothing really sounds appetizing and sometimes just not hungry.

Thank you for the video by the way. I love the garbage bowl idea!! I do find myself going back and forth to the trash can a lot.

  • your ideas are amazing and I would love to try them ♥ but I can’t because I’m still living with my parents and my mom doesn’t want to cook anything different of what she makes:( I have lost 10kg but I stalled and I can’t keep losing weight although I’m following a diet with my mom… I don’t know what to do, I think I’m not doing anything wrong.
Maybe I’m doing too much exercise?.. I love dancing and I sometimes practice it 7 to 9 hours a day on weekdays and 3 to 5 hours on Saturdays. I just can’t control myself when I’m dancing…
I also have a thyroid disorder, but I’m taking medication for it…
Can someone help me?.. I’m desperate and I don’t know what to do…

btw thank you for always making this videos! They’re really helpful to aware people that to lose weight you do not need to eat less ♥

  • Your salad prep tips are great! I always halved cherry tomatoes until I watched this. Thank you so much, this should help me keep on track:D
Also, for anyone having trouble enjoying salads, I highly recommend making something like spiced pecans (there are some great recipes online) because they add such a nice flavour to an otherwise boring salad! They will usually have something like pumpkin spice + cayenne pepper or paprika + maple syrup or honey.

  • I set my laptop on and watch Netflix or podcast while i prep food. I don’t like to prep actual meals but i always prep my fruits and veggies for the 2 weeks and it makes it way easier. We don’t like eating pre-cooked then re-heated food so i just have everything ready to cook. I know some people don’t have the time to spend 30mins-1 hour cooking every night. But if you hate re-heated food like we do you can at least prep the raw good so that come cook time it’s all ready to throw on.

  • Omg you seriously so cute!!! Hehe. I could literally eat the same lunch/dinner for like.. a whole week but my goto is quinoa, broccoli or any veggie and some type of protein!!

  • Great ideas! I agree with some comments. I can’t possibly do it all in a day! You’re a rock star for getting that all done at once! If I’m on point I plan meals Thursday, clean out the fridge Friday, shop Saturday and meal prep Sunday! It uses less brain power for me! Great job!

  • Great tips!! Like how you use your off day to meal prep for the upcoming week.  While I’m at it, great videos!  You’re really getting me prepared to take this on! I am already a fit teenager and working out and eating healthy comes pretty easy to me EXCEPT for the fact that I have a big problem with consistency being a college student and barely having any spare time.  You helped me discover a workout that only takes 30 minutes and told me ways to make it even more efficient resulting in the best results. So thank you!

  • i have watch your video before 3 days and this word “sogggy” keep repeating everytime in my mind i cant forget it or get it out off my mind.. i am done lol

  • Hey there, I JUST started watching your channel and I have been thinking about doing p90x. I am an overweight teenage girl who doesn’t exercise often. Do you think I can do this?

  • I am thinking about doing t25 this weekend.  One thing i really struggle with even more then the workouts not that i am great with that either, has been the diet part.  I understand portion control but dieting can be soooooo expensive.  It is not cheap to eat healthy.  Alot of times i go to a “dollar menu” not because i am running out of time but  running out of money.  With this being said i really want to make it work.  Do you guys still have challenge groups etc..?  I had tried p90x for like a month and my coach was pretty non exsistent to say the least.   Anyway congrats on your success and appreciate the tips.

  • “don’t use anything that feels hard as a reason to stop, use it as a reason to learn”

That’s actually an excellent advice for life in general!

  • cool note is that banana peels are edible, good for you, and don’t change the texture of smoothies so you son’t have to peel them.

  • I have a couple questions for you: 1. how do you decide which nut butter you use with certain meals? Do certain nut butters go well with certain foods? 2. When cooking your meals do you always put your ingredients in those little glass bowls or only when your filming a video? Good video btw, this really helped xx

  • Thanks for the tips Dani, I really needed to see this video. I work in a company that has a really great cafeteria. While the food is tasty, it’s not always the healthiest. I’ve been bringing my lunch to work with me instead recently but I had been making each meal the night before. It’s not the most practical solution so i’m hoping to give meal prepping a go this week and save some time midweek. Thanks for the great tips as always!

  • hey man love you vids. I’m curious about thingd that supposedly don’t last a whole week after cooking. like chicken should only be kept 3-4 days after cooking or something. I used to eat chicken and rice all the time for the original insanity. I used to cook it once a week and found an article that listed life times for food like how long eggs last, or cooked things. and after that I started to notice how my food after the 4th day didn’t taste as fresh. I didn’t get sick or anything, I’ve always had a great immune system, but started doing every 4th day and it worked, but being as how weeks are 7 days long, it meant I never had a set prep day. so my question is, if you’re prepping once a week, what all do you do for those foods? I notice you don’t mind eating the same thing every day. I do that too, cook the chicken with a different seasoning or something and it keeps it fresh. I did that for like 7 months lol. but for those other 3 days of the week what do you eat if you can’t keep chicken that long? or do you do it anyways and not mind that it doesn’t taste as fresh the later part of the week?

thanks, sorry for the long comment lol.

  • I love how she uses the same type of ingredient again and again so you don’t have to go buy loads of things in bulk for just one recipe you might never eat again

  • As forgot to mention. It helps me to just meal plan for the week. So the day I’m not trying to decide what to cook for my family. And I can swamp things around. But at least I know what I have that goes together. Even if I don’t prep the foods. So every little step is something.

  • Liezl i feel like we are friends, your tips are so helpful, you are inspiring. I award you the youtube award lol! Fave tip was the coconut yoghurt to freeze, the granola heathy cereal, nut mix n that chicken marinade yum! Thanks for all your help. May god guide you n keep you happy!

  • Thanks so much for the video, Dani! So helpful and had some unique but common sense tips for meal prepping! Hey at least if it didn’t get out to many people during the live stream, you’ve got all of us who will watch it here! I really appreciate your insights. Meal prepping and keeping a balanced diet are really where I need and want to make improvements in my life right now.

  • can you do more half oatmeal half smoothie bowl breakfast recipes??? the other two recipes you showed in another video looked so good!!

  • Lovely video! Please check out my brands channel thanks. We offer fully online services in cuisine kits, life coaching and image consulting

  • Whew girl, Dani!!! I can’t hang with the shop and then meal prep! I must be a light weight. Hahaha…. however, that’s because I shop on Friday after work, meal prep in part on Saturday (boil, bake or chop components) and on Sunday, I watch Youtube and spend a few hrs in the kitchen to relax and cook. (who does that?) But it’s a 3 day affair, but, all of my meals come from my kitchen, so it’s required. Great advice for shopping tho!:-)

  • omg ive been looking for meal prep in millions of channels and none of them worked for me. I give tasty a chance, not a single word and yet I wanna make every single one of these recipes. cheers guys

  • Hi! I have been watching your videos for 2 months now and have gotten so many inspirations and motivation from you videos.. Can I know how many calories is roughly in each trail mix pack?

  • Long time lurker, first time commenter:) But seriously, this is such a great video! A lot of the tips you gave, I had figured out after trial and error. I hope they save some frustration for the next person. • I saw this on replay this was a great video to learn from. I use the Pepperplate app on my iphone. On my computer I get the Pepperplate app and i type in all my best recipes and it synchronizes to my phone. Then when I’m at the grocery store I buy my ingredients

  • How do I make a breakfast that will keep me full? I seriously get so hungry shortly after! Thank you for all your helpful videos!!

  • Hi Dani! Great video. This is a topic that I find most people struggle with when trying to keep a goal of eating healthier. Personally, I’ve meal planned for as long as I can remember (can’t imagine deciding what I’m going to cook for the next week while in the grocery store), but I never actually meal prepped until I did “Body for Life” years ago. Since my family was not eating what I was eating at that time, it became imperative to meal prep for myself and for their meals. While my life has drastically changed since then, I still can’t imagine going through life without meal planning and prepping. Thanks for all that you do!

  • I did the pesto chicken, beans and tomato the other day and it was really good. I roasted tomatoes in the oven toaster and they turned out really good.

  • I made the Thai salad with shrimp for a little extra protein. My wife ate it for 3 days.

And the sauce does mix if you shake the jar. And by shake, I mean shaking it like a shake weight.

  • Do you have any idea how many grams are in1 cup of cooked/uncooked quinoa & 1 cup of cooked/uncooked rice? I tried to google it, but couldn’t really find an answer. And since we don’t use cup measurements in Germany, I really have no clue:D

  • What do you think is the best program to strengthen core and improve posture? I’ve done P90 and Lift4, but I still look like a cashew with feet.

  • Bob…
on meal prep.. If we prep all meals on a Sunday, how many days does my food (say chicken and rice) keep in the fridge? Surely it will go off by Wed/thur?

  • Hey what I do is 2 healthy meals a day with 2 healthy snacks and dinner I don’t worry about…. I drink shakeology in the mornings before I workout… then I try to skip breakfast but I do end up eating a health one. I eat fruit as snacks… then a healthy lunch…. then a healthy snack.. and if my dinner happens to be a chili dog or pizza… tacos it’s ok because I ate like a fitness robot the whole day and I just make sure I don’t over eat at dinner.

  • @Liezl Jayne your YouTube channel is one of my ultimate favorites! I am so happy I found you! I love how you follow the dietary guidelines and make everything seem so simple!

  • I have a question? So to be in caloric deficit you need to burn more calories than you’re consuming… but when you run an hour on the treadmill you’re only burning like 200-300 cal. On piece of grilled chicken is 100+ calories…. so how are you supposed to eat & make this work. Helppppp

  • Hello my friends!! I always get so many questions about meal prep, it inspired me to share these tips to help make the process easier. I hope you find it helpful!! xo Dani

  • Hello:) What is this on 3.20, the red one, righthandside to the beans? Is this tomato relish?
Super video:) Greetins from Berlin Germany

  • I really liked this because most of the “quick and easy meal ideas I see turn out to be complicated. I will try the salad in the mason jar idea and see if shaking it mixes the sauce but -people, just put it into a bowl and it will be fine.

  • Yeah, I started doing P90X again but this time WITH the diet and I’m getting great results. I also lost the sugar-salt cravings (finally) and the basic food is so delicous! Diet is such an important thing, I wonder why I didn’t realize this years ago? Crazy.

  • Everyone always touts this type of shopping, but it simply DOESN’T work for me. I find that it works much better for me to go to the store knowing that I need to purchase ingredients for X# of meals, but without having hard plans for what those meals will be. I will then shop the sales, specials, and closeouts as inspiration for the exact components of those meals. I usually end up spending 20%-50% less than I would with a set in stone shopping list. Since I am usually on quite a tight budget, I can’t afford to splurge or buy extraneous items, instead I am focused on getting the most nutrition, and largest number of meals for the least money. Yes shopping like this takes more time and effort, but for me money is at more of a premium than time is.

  • Be ok with the progresses we make. I have a red cutting board for meat and a white one for everything else. Thank you for the video great tips!

  • Great tips, I wish I had heard them when I started meal prepping because mine was trial and error. I still have to keep myself in check when shopping because I can overdo it. Thanks

  • I really enjoy your channel. Love your meal prep ideas. I bought your books and I think I’m going to go all in…..

I love what you say about being shorter. Less food needed for sure, for some reason when I was watching this video I was really loving the idea of your portion sizes.

Question: I notice you use a lot of aluminum foil….I thought using foil is bad for you. Is there a brand that you use that’s ok? Or have you weighed the bad and found that the ease of it out weighed that?

I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts because maybe I’ll start using foil again! Hahaha!

  • Once you get the nutrition sorted you will get 10 times the results

I’m like you I keep it simple and could eat the same thing every day. But I rotate it around each week. So much easier.

I’m just off 21DFX and it’s super plain eating lol but you can’t argue with the results.
