  • Why else do you think certian people types used to lure kids into vehicles with sugar back in the day?

its the same result of offering crack to a basehead, just alot cheaper.

  • Had they not put sugar in basically everything, I’d feel better about enjoy something sugary every now and then, just like alcohol.

  • Let me tell you a real story…….
my friends played a prank on me…. they laid out a stack of lines of white powder on the table and called me. And they said it’s Jacks birthday so we are all doing this, you also do this.
I said, I have never sniffed cocain before. J
They said just do it once and we forget everything.
I did it……… sniffed the whole line, and it was an instant regret, cause that white powder was powdered sugar.

  • Hahaha this fear of sugar is amazing, sugar and refined carbs are not the same thing white sugar is pure energy, refined carbs is sugar with vegatable oils the one thing that stops you effectively burning sugar as energy no wonder we have a health crisis no one actually knows what’s bad for them

  • If sugar releases dopamine and the whole Cascade afterwards why do some people don’t like sugar or sugary food. While others can’t live without it?

  • Put the rats in a normal rat environment where there are plenty of other foods, others rats to play or have sex with, a lot of space to be free in, and then decide what’s more addicting, sugar or cocaine. You will be surprised. Same applies to us humans. The environment has a big say on what genes turn on or off. Always consider the context and background; otherwise this mumbling and jabbering of untruths will produce stupid slogans like ‘the War on Drugs,’ rehab centers that are a waste of money, for the addicts or taxpayers, that is,; social stigma that prevents some from getting a job, because the laws passed by these houses of representatives are not really that wise; and a lot of other tragic consequences. Imprisoned in a corrupt and neurotic society, do not expect a human being to behave very humanely.

  • as i started to eat healthy unprocessed food, i had this huge craving for sweets which i never had when i ate processed meals. That means that they put sugar into everything because you likely get addicted to this processed shit from the supermarket. I start to feel dizzy and unrelaxed without my sweets, its a hell of a drug but nobody realizes it cause they all get it everyday. tbh its actually like nicotine.

  • And fasting resets everything if I did 3 days las summer no food or water then I believe anythings possible it’s possible folks you dont need anything but air to survive and fix your system go to bed for 3 nights n dont consume any fluids for 3 days sugar is a seasonal food for northern climates that’s become a year round food due to importing, the diet you should eat should be based on geographical heritage unless you can find a new baseline for a new diet, but I thank cole Robinson for posting his videos I manned up I did what he said n took things to the extreme fasting focused lifestyle

  • One time when I was a dumbass child (still am) I actually sniffed sugar in front of my friends thinking it was Cocain I still regret that.

  • By the way, sometimes sugar helps in concentrate on what we’re working on such as project, games, and more!

So is sugar really that bad for you? answer ——————->Yes but helps you work.

  • This is a great docu on sugar with clips of the simpsons and everything! I really wanted to show it to my students but theres way too much coke in here! lol!

  • I was addicted to cocain for 2 years… I finally got off and have been off for about 1.5 years, but sugar is sooo hard, especially considering how easy it is to obtain and how commonly it is found in everyday food items

  • I was a Pepsi addict few years back. I drank atleast 500ml everyday without fail for three months. One fine day I switched from Pepsi to chilled buttermilk to cold water. I lost 15 kgs in a few months. Guess all I wanted was something really cold to drink.

  • Well, it probably is, because I feel terrible after eating it but still crave it. XD

I love sweet things, but sugar isn’t really good on my stomach, meaning I have to limit it and not limit it at the same time. Like cake, oh… I don’t like eating it as much as my younger self. (I didn’t have bad stomach problems when I was younger.) I also can’t even eat a chocolate bar without my stomach hurting. At least we have dark chocolate, which is good as well.

  • Idk,when i was a kid i really like sweets. But as i grown up and especialy in the last few years for the most part i feel like i’m a lot less into sugar, especialy when i’m sad, then sugar is definently not helping at all.

  • 3:25 ONLY 25 grams?!? I look at nutrition labels all the time, and it seems to me that about 110 grams is the daily value for a 2,000 calorie diet. Can someone explain this to me?

  • Most kids under 2 years are ADDICTED, along with their SO CALL parents. It just makes your life harder to manage. You have got to set a stander. FIRST thing, start reading the back LABALS of the food you buy. To see how (they) are SCREWING YOU and YOUR LIFE. Your life is a hill can you make to to the top. Is the kid saying I want candy or saying I want heroin, it the same to break. Set a positive stander. If you stop drinking beer, you may start eating ice cream to fill the void. You can improve that by switching to plain yogurt with cinnamon. Wake-up and take back control daily.

  • They should put a warning label on sugar with a skull & cross bones. It is simply in everything. Was at Trader Joe’s today and looking at some smoked salmon. Added sugar and the fish was farm raised. It did not go into my shopping basket. At Whole Foods, they smoke fish right at the seafood counter and needless to say, that was my dinner.

  • Dr.Berg: GoodMorning. I thought it vital to advise that since I have been getting properly educated about insulin production and modified my eating habits and proper measurements of what I am fueling my body with have been phenominal. It has been 2 months. After 1st week you notice the decline in cravings with removal of starch and juices. (No more fatigue). Clear thinking and energy. Also Added an app that notifies me to drink a glass of Water or hour. I thoroughly document the every day investment… in my journal.
    I binged for 2 days (Lays ).
10 days ago! and I noticed the bloating and fatigue you spoke of and more.
    Body ache.
    Thank you.
Now this class is really going to educate me on my eating “choices” how they affect MY Body and organs. Most important aspect of CHANGE is staying motivated….Lets do this. Thanks you. If your wondering about the reduction in weight. Without a doubt. I wore a sleaveless top today. I’m going to also check out your class about belly fat. Before Pictures have been taken and also purchased a tape measure and took a real close look at areas that I will be physically and nutritionally modifying. Thank you so much.

  • There’s less of a Candy/soda addiction in France. Don’t know why, but most people eat homemade meals at meal times on the table. A normal meal has some veggies and meat/fish/egg.
I’m not addicted to sugar cause I know exactly what I eat. I eat fruit, a piece a cake now and then, some honey in my jogurt. Barely any processed food, that the Key I think. In a way i’m lucky cause this is the way I was educated. And i live in a place where you can easy find fresh local veggies and others quality foods. I have enough money (even though I’m kinda poor) to buy some organic things. Environnement is so important.

  • Ok so let me tell you something interesting
So years ago I would eat waffles for breakfast every day but not just any waffles I would get chocolate chip waffles with serape on it so yeah a lot of sugar in that and after eating that for awhile I got tired of it I was like you know what I’m sick of eating this let’s change it up a bit and so because of that event I kinda lost my sweet tooth I say kinda because I still eat sweets on occasion I just don’t eat it as much as I used to

  • Crave and Hunger aren’t the same thing tho. Crave is your brain telling you that you need something even when you don’t because it’s addictive. Hunger is your body physically telling you to eat or else you’ll die.

  • So technically my dad who dislike sweet stuff but prefers his coffee and chocolate bitter will die in the rule of evolution as he avoids sugar and likes bitter stuff (poison? )

  • That’s because marijuana caused zero deaths a year and health wise it can’t even be compared to cigarettes/alcohol ( by that I mean cigarettes/alcohol separately are like 100x worse then marijuana ) so please shut up and do some research before you say stupid things

  • Dose any one every just open the plastic drum of surgar and look for pieces of sugar clumped together into little rock like clump in shape and just eat them

  • I think im allergic to sugar. Everytime I eat any carbs it effects my heart and ibs. Fruits are the worst. I’m on my second day of fasting watching this video helps with pain I am having. Not worried now.

  • Does it have negative effects in health at all? I get the point that it may be addictive, but in my opinion it is not such a big deal.
I eat a lot of processed sugar and I am healthy, so it doesn’t make damage. Of course it is noth the better thing I could eat, but I think that it is not a problem.
Plus, there are Health Services that tell the consumers what is good and what is bad, and they ban the products that harm your bofy. Sugar is not banned, hence it cannot be so bad.
I get your point, I liked the video but I would like to see more sources or real explanations.
    Cheers.

  • Idk why but sometimes I don’t like eating sweet. Is it abnormal to not like sweet. I don’t hate sweet but there are many fravors of sweet and I only like some of them but I can’t eat too much sweet or else I get bored and it’s far sooner than the other tastes. It’s that ok?

  • uhh, i might sound bad but i don’t like,i mean hate sugar. I Puked on my brithday from the sugar one time as i was eating a lollipop dipped with sugar I Spit it out lol.

  • If you have SIBO there’s an added layer of addiction caused by the bacteria that trigger cravings for sugar. They want to be fed so they send chemical signals that make your body crave sugar.

  • No because we actually need it to survive unlike the other drugs that make us feel like we need it to survive but they just cause damage

  • Sugar also causes diabetes because chronically it causes insulin sensitivity that leads to diabetes. This is a scientific fact. Not debatable.

You want to lose weight? Stop giving your insulin so much work to do aka sugar.

  • marujana isnt dangerous or bad (unless your brain is still developing. dont smoke it until your 25 years + though it might lead to memory damage or some other bad symptom)

  • I heard that the hanigs taste map is incorrect, so when it was said that the sugar taste buds are located at the tip of the tongue, wasnt that wrong? I am not saying the taste map is incorrect, I just genuinely want to know…

also me struggling with a coke addiction feeling like there was no help to get over it in this video.

  • I used to handle my sugar game! Candies, cbockies, cakes, refined sugar everything! From 23 I noticed I would get sick after having junk food with sugar except chocolates. I’d have a headache, feel nauseous and the second day I would have a sugar hangover feeling someone was burning plastics in my stomach. I cut it off but would still give in now & again.

What helped me flush out sugar cravings was drinking plenty of water, 4l a day. After 3 day I never craved anything with sugar. Zero cravings!!!!! I started alternating IF & OMAD this is my second month. I had coffee with refined sugar & the side weren’t as bad. I could tell that I had consumed something that I should not have.

Sugar is poisonous for some people.

  • Dr. Berg, I make $110K/yr (am single and live in TX for context of cost of living). To me, even at this income, your supplements are too costly. I buy the D3/K2, electrolyte, wheat grass, nutritional yeast.. and want to add the adrenal and cortisol support and kelp (estrogen, adrenal body). Plus I buy Nordic Naturals Omega 3. This is getting so costly. My concern isn’t for me, but at my income this is a squeeze on the budget. So I cannot imagine how much more so for avg american who makes $75K for a family of 4. If there is anyway to get your cost down so you can pass some of those savings onto the community, that would be awesome. Thanks for all you do for us, spending all your time devoted to helping us improve our healthy and live our best lives.

  • Me eating my sugary jam sandwiches: umm yess so relatable

Also me: take a sip of green tea

Well I wanted something sweet and also I don’t want my bread to go modly before I finish it so…

  • The main flaw I see in the rat experiment is that the sugar water is technically food and does give the rats energy and some sustenance however the coke would give no sustenance at all. So I feel like even with the addictions they would always go for the food not the Cocaine. I just feel like the experiment has a substantial extraneous variable.

  • Small advise for people who want to use these substances every now and then. Take it outside (safely) and enjoy it there as it may make you more socialized and extroverted; as oppose to staying at home wide awake at 2:00 with a dopamine crave satisfaction.

  • Why do we love sugar? Because humans are frugivores. We are biologically desgined to consume glucose. It is our brain’s main fuel.

  • Soo… Why exactly is it bad?:D just by being addictive it does not become bad. This video was well cropped so that it is not too long, but there is no proper explanation what happens with sugar after it is no longer able to be stored in liver and muscles etc. Good video overall, but it could use actual explaination:)

  • This videos goes too fast for me to even understand what is being explained.. I know it’s supposed to be like that but it’s upsetting when teachers gives me assignments to explains informations from this video.

  • Why God why!!! Why don’t the veggies taste as good as the sugar! I am trying my best to avoid sugar. But that doesn’t give me a liking for veggies.

  • I’ve been having these crazy sugar cravings lately since I stopped drinking alcohol and I’ve been wondering why. It’s like you read my mind doc.

  • Even if the psychiatric community does not deem sugar addiction as an actual addiction, because it does not conform to their definition of addiction as outlined in their DSM, for those who struggle with avoiding sugar it is an addiction.

  • If pushers add sugar to street drugs it may speed up addiction. Like in the Mary Poppins song. BTW, I see Mary Poppins as guilty of child abuse, not a cute kid’s movie.

  • Please doctor help me i contacted you several times, im thin and i would like to gain weight but i don’t know how calculate percentage of my diet (carbs/fat/proteins) i don’t eat sugar and hydrogenated oil thank’s for your videos. I lost 5 kilos.

  • For some reason i very rarely can enjoy sugar. All it does is make me feel nauseous. I constantly crave salt and salty/savory foods. I can eat sugar amd enjoy it, but not often. I never have cravings for sugar, just salt.

  • i think that tryptophan also releases dopamine. fish is among the foods highest in tryptophan. however, in order to get the tryptophan to have that effect, one must eat carbohydrates. that is the bad news. however, one does not need a lot of carbs to trigger the tryptophan. all one needs is about 15 grams of net carbs to do that. btw if i am wrong about anything i am saying here, and dr berg happens to be reading this, i would very much welcome his corrections

  • I watched your video “what happens when you stop eating sugar for 14 days”. Such a good video and that was a month ago. I stopped and feel much better. I’m 73 years old and sugar has been my addiction forever…no more. Never too late

  • fats, sugars, carbohydrates (which are also in vegetables) stores the excess in the body, so saying that sugar is bad is not entirely correct. just too much of things is generally bad.

  • Sugar is not addictive in the sense that there are no real withdrawal symptoms, though it does stimulate the rewards part of the brain… It’s just tends to cause hypoglycemia, but that is not the same thing as the typical withdrawal symptoms…

  • Typical modern day civilisation, it’s not my fault, my brain hasn’t evolved and that’s why I can’t stop eating sugar.

Not the reality that where going to close to live unhealthy because it’s easier

  • We need a detailed video on the suitable diet for women with pcos. There are certain foods and herbs that increase estrogen like seeds and sage. Do these foods influence the condition. And what about targeted keto diet. I’ve been hearing about that a lot. if it is okay to do it which kind of CHO should i consume and how much of it??

  • i quit sugar years ago and im still fat in the gut. i feel healthy, exercise every day, eat keto properly for the fatty liver type. is it possible that its just genetic?

  • Greetings Dr Berg!

I’ve been following you for the pass 3 years to point. With ketogenic and fasting.
But my Job as a truck driver been given me some muscle pain lately, back and lower legs. I’m sure it’s just because of the sitting for long periods. So last week I tried drinking a muscle relaxer. (Naproxen sodium tablets) 220 mg from Aleve brand. And they work miraculously. I wake up feeling amazing. But my concern is that it might have long term effects if I drink one daily or when I have muscle pain.
Is this pain killer bad for my health in long or short term?
Or do you recommend something else?
Thank you so much for your help.
    Appreciate your sharing!!

  • Sugar and Carls are the Main reason for almost all diseases of our modern time!
All my pains vanished when I stopped consuming it 5 weeks ago.
    It’s fascinating!
I recommend everyone to stop sugar and carbs, they bring the body out of balance like drugs!
Actually sugar for me is a drug!

  • no its not that simple. this is mistake.
sugar cravings have much more deeper mechanisms and causes.
a healthy man like Dr.Berg or a baby or healthy skinny may have a lot of less cravings for food than a old man with diabetes or unhealthy intestines.
they dont understand that intestines health may be the cause of obese.

  • Thank you Dr Berg for this vital information. I feel I am addicted to sugar. If I don’t eat something sweet I feel cranky and unfulfilled. Can you talk about how to beat sugar addiction?

  • This won’t stop me from eating vegetables… ’cause they’re good for you. I’ve been eating them since i was a child. Just sayin tho

  • Can you tell us what should we consume to get rid of cravings for sugar…. After my dinner I need something sweet (desert) or chocolate….

  • Hello sir, had a doubt. I have PCOS, can high intensity exercises or any exercises which causes to beat my heartbeat really fast, which increases the stress level therefore increasing cortisol levels cause acne? My diet is healthy and I’m exercising, u had clear skin when I didn’t exercise. Please advise me on this.

  • 1st September 2019 I quit sugar by just saying to my mom: “Hey mom, can you avoid buying candy for me this weekend” Mom: “Of course”
Next weekend I asked for the same thing, then I did it again, and again, and all of the sudden it was a norm that I didn’t eat candy and all of that unhealthy stuff. I started to look on the back of things like ketchup and realized that there were a looooot of sugar in it. So I stopped eating it, and I did the same for every other thing that had added sugar in it. Of course I didn’t avoid things like apples and grapes because they have sugar in it, because you want that sugar, your body needs sugar (The right type of sugar). I’m also kind of allergic to chocolate, if I eat just one single piece I can get a stomachache, throw up and things like that. So me not being able to eat chocolate has made this so much easier. Anyways, quitting sugar was one of the best things I’ve done in my life, it has made such a big difference in my life. If you have acne, quit sugar. I had pretty bad acne when I used to eat sugar, but when I quit, it nearly went away.
Yes I do carve some sweet things sometimes but if I do that I either resist it or eat like 3 sugar free candies, and thb its not that difficult to not eat sugar, just make sure you don’t have it available.
Quit sugar guys. A lot of good benefits will come as an award.

  • Its he cocaine of food, the more u eat the more you want, it takes me 3 days to get rid of the sugar craving and go back to fruit, if I have cookies cakes or a pie around, the fruit will sit.

  • Hey doctor i am a huge fan of you, I wanted to ask you, my relative had her gallbladder removed and it was found the stones were in the bile duck 10 years ago. She has started keto last week and has said today she feels sick today perhaps because of the oils she ate or high fat foods she ate? • Insulin resistance is the real pandemic and sugar is the cause.
Also; carbs are sugar as far as your body is concerned.
    So
Cut out sugar and reduce carbs.

  • 1 thin in this video is wrong. Dopamine output with regular sugar consumption does get downregulated which leads to everything else also feeling less rewarding and leading you to only want to have the things with the most dopamine reaction (sugar)

  • What about the bacteria that thrive on a high sugar diet?
How much influence do the bacteria in our gut have over what we desire to eat? Do the bacteria desire that we eat sugar because that is what they thrive on? and these bacteria can influence our food desires? In much the same way as a parasite can influence the behaviour of its host.

  • Without sugar none of the body organs work brain is one of the max users of sugar without brain coma nobody can do anything.am a type 1 Diabetic on human DNA insulin went through low sugar n seizures many times.

  • Stopping sugar is super important. Finally the mainstream is coming around to understanding the dangers of this addiction. Some really practical tips from a doctor in this vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pP6AS3WcM6s

  • I don’t buy sugar at all or use it. I know our body needs it so I rely on natural sugars from the fruit and other foods that I eat and that works just fine. Blood sugar normal and that’s what counts. Great video Doc

  • Since I’ve begun intermittent fasting, along with low carb, and barely any sugar, I don’t crave sugar at all. However, if I end up having some sugar, all of a sudden, I crave more, and I have to fight the urge to consume more. Thankfully, I’ve gotten really good at not going down that slippery slope, but I find even that occasional “treat” has become not worth it!

  • And also people don’t realize they like fat so sugary foods that have fat. For example ice cream: so it’s not so much that they crave sugar, but fat,and especially those who deprive themselves from fat and then they try fatty foods that are mixed with sugar and they go crazy!!

  • I am not addicted to sugar and i think that if you were to eat too much sugar you would probably be pretty unhealthy so i try and limit myself

  • BLOCKO: If you want sweets down here in the Life Noggin world, you have to visit one of those websites that remembers some of your data.
Umm… of course I’ll enable cookies! Gimmie! Gimmie the cookies! Gimmie!

  • Fun Fact: The first major influx of refined sugar into the Western diet happened in Henry VIII’s court, in which general Tudor meals became sweet and savory, on top of “dessert” showing up as its own course. Guess which English king was known for becoming insanely overweight for the period and plagued with health issues despite being healthy and strong in his youth? Of course, it would take centuries for refined sugars to become cheap enough to trickle down to the general public’s daily diet, which happened in the Victorian period and where we first see the general public dealing with being overweight on a diet of sweet dainties and teacakes, and the first movements towards food reform, dieting, and exercise.

  • These companies are doing the same thing in India too. Say McDonald’s, dominoz kfc and yada yada. India also doesn’t have great food laws. With the rise in the middle class, it has become almost a weekly thing to go out to eat. Fortunately for us, we have access to organic food all over the country ane it is much cheaper too. Where I live there must be more than 10 vegetable and fruit vendors at a walking distance. We all as a whole need to fight this corporate greed which sacrifices our health for money. They do not care about us, they only care about the money.

  • When I eat too much sugar I tend to stop, cause it makes me nauseous. When I smoke too many sigarrets, I tend to stop, cause it makes me nauseous, and so on with almost everything, when I had too much I feel nauseous. Except smoking weed, I tend to do it until I pass out., if only I felt nauseous when I had to much weed…, God we need some improvements, he should rewrite the code in our DNA.

  • “Bliss points”, i.e., added sugar in processed products, just kept going up in the Western U.S. over the last 50 years, until every loaf of “healthy” bread in the store, tasted like sugary “pound cake,” and I just could no longer tolerate it…I was forced to bake my own bread…but eventually just went keto.

  • This channel believes sugar is the worst thing you can put in yourself and maybe it is when you’re eating sugar like Americans do but sugar is essential to function. I know, because where I live, we don’t eat a lot of processed food and young people like myself commonly get hypoglycemic when working out or studying.

  • I wandered the house looking for something that has sugar in it, couldn’t find any and got really desperate….

    Found some chocolate eventually.

  • The things that scientists do to mice are weird and harsh. Mice are not human, is it helping humans understand things by hurting mice?

  • Not as addictive as going to reddit for memes before you sleep but end up not being able to sleep and then you decide to contemplate your life choices as you go into an existential crisis

  • i came to the comments searching for a funny comment aboout “heroin being the non addicitive form of morphin”
and the something like-well that plan didn´t work, but I couldn´t find it…

  • Humans are physiogically engineered to consume carbs (sugars) as fuel for the body, this may be why carbs and sugars are ”addictive.” I’ve seen what cocaine does to the mind and that alone is far worse than a pasta meal with a sugary soda at dinner with your family.

  • I cut sugar and cocaine around the same time (after a stroke). I have also switched to a low carb, no processed food, high-fat diet. I have never felt better and have not felt sick in over two years.

  • I have referred to processed white sugar as “children’s cocaine” for decades. The stuff is deadly. And its a guaranteed slow horrible death.

  • When i went to another city for a competition, I couldn’t cook and because i wasn’t good with picking my own food, I bought only sweets. After two days of this I literally couldn’t even look at sweets for the next two weeks (I barely ate in those two days, but when i did it was ONLY sweet stuff)

  • Fuck off with these cave. Men evolution theories. They link stuff that they say fits and things that don’t they say we outgrew these traits ffs.. That is a contradiction to the theory itself…

We can domesticated dogs in a few hundred years… But we still think we gonna starve to death if we don’t crave things.. Absolute bollocks.. We crave things because they make Us feel Good. Ever notice anything bad for you taste great the good. Things taste boring… Ever noticed to have a great body takes hard work a fat out of shape body is easy….

Notice how. Truth can. Hurt and be boring lies are exciting and comforting..

This is design obvious it is design. So as people we learn to. Have control and balance if good things came. Easy and tasted the best and truth was easy to speak. Life would be worthy less cause its be that simple and easy… Its be joyless. It’s designed that way..

  • Why do so many documentaries like using clips from the Simpsons to illustrate a point? Do they release dopamine in the filmmakers’ brains when they are used?

  • Is there any link between pain from poor posture and the down turn in mood that that can cause, and then needing the hit of yummy sugar ( insert peanut MMs into mouth today) to make you think you’re feeling better and happier but really it doesn’t help. ( I’m not suggesting sugar is a painkiller but psychologically is helps? )

  • Lol, that Donut tower. There are many other ways to get a Dopamine rush, other than Sugar. I’ll maybe tell you when your older. Ha.

  • There was a guy Seth Roberts who ate a stick of butter (about 100g) per day for a year, he claimed butter made his brain function better maybe it did?. He died of a sudden heart attack while mountain biking aged 60. Adding a sugar tax in UK increased the rate of obesity. You can’t do just one thing!

  • Thanks for the video. I have started to change my eating patterns and noted the majority of foods in the supermarket has some sort of sugar inside its ingredients. It’s even inside fruits!

  • do you know how i cut down sugar and lose pounds?
i only eat home made bread, salades made with lettuce cucumber tomatoes fennel, vegetable soup, traditional olive oil, boiled eggs and grilles chicken breast and low fructose fruit like apples, strawberries.

  • when i started using tobacco (not by smoking it) i stopped eating sweets/candy just because i didn’t really liked the flavour of sweet food, and the tobacco gave me a better sense of dopamine. by now i have only eaten maybe 20 pieces of candy in 6 years. not saying it’s an fact, but i do believe it’s healthier than eating sweets all the time. and of course beer is healthier than soda.

  • Ive done a lot of cocaine and nicotine in my life, sugar cravings have been much worse than the ones the ones from those two drugs

  • Him: describing the long and complicated process of refining sugar

  • K first of all kids take sugar nearly daily since birth that’s why it’s so hard to give up even if possible in this life entirely.
If you gave people since birth cocaine lots of lives would be lost or doomed.
Sugar is bad but in moderation you can live a lifetime with it especially in pure sugar cane.
Cocaine is often a costly faze encountered in early.20s.
    Huge dif.
    Sugar kicks ass in moderation!

  • From where I’m from people cook so I’ve never been used to processed food.
I moved to France and I still don’t understand how people eat processed food
When I tell people I cook all my meals and I use vegetable and actual real fish, they’re shocked. Yeah I make my own curry and handmade noodles, dough, tortilla and I buy fish either head and bones, I drink water. How is that crazy ‍♀️‍♀️

  • I would love to see what a diet without sugar is like but i have no idea how. Im in college and it seems eating processed sugar is unavoidable.

  • I’m not addicted to any sweet foods, yet I always eat over my daily added sugar value by drinking sports drinks and juice/komboucha daily. I am very scared I will get heart disease some day, so I will try to decrease my intake. It does hydrate me after a good workout though, I don’t feel like they give me irregular energy levels..

  • I didn’t realize how sweet was everything until I moved to China. Chinese snacks and beverages are less ‘sweet’ than their counterparts in western brands. Traditional Chinese desserts mostly have unrefined sugars and in Supermarkets you can buy unrefined rock sugar or cane sugar. Chinese People drink tea and juices without adding sugar too! I was used to add 2 spoons of sugar on my coffee or on a juice but living in China I learned to enjoy the taste of fruits in juice and black coffee.

  • I never like sugary drinks but they gave me a free Orange Fanta for free when I got my food. When I saw this video I went and drank it.mmmm

  • evolution is a “theory”…there where no “cavemen” we have always been like this since the beginning of creation…besides that, good video on white death…stick to real food….

  • Change the title of this, to “What’s more addictive? Sugar or Cocaine”, because I’m pretty sure that’s what caused it to stay so low in view.

  • Eat less sugary foods like chocolate and sweets, then for the times that you do eat it, it tastes a million times better, even eating just a little. Probably would help too to cut out all the other foods that are packed with sugar and get healthier alternatives.

  • Yea sugar is like cocaine in the sense that it’s a white powder but that’s about it. Sugar is nothing like cocaine. Don’t use false analogies to be deceitful and trick people into thinking it’s poison. Yes people eat too much, and it makes people fat, but the exact same thing goes for McDonald’s Burgers.
