LOW CARB Apple Pie *without protein powder!!!*

Video taken from the channel: Johanna_elsen

Pour can of Sugar free apple pie filling into the bottom of a cake pan and spread the apple pieces out evenly. Pour cake batter on top of apples and allow it to evenly settle on top of the apples. Add pecan halves on top of the batter. Place in oven and cook for 50-55 minutes.

It is ok for some of the apple pie filling to bubble up through the cake. The apple pie protein mug cake has only 263 calories, yet it contains a full meal’s-worth of protein (35 grams per mug cake). The high protein content comes mainly from the vanilla whey, which contains 24 grams of protein per serving (usually 31 grams of weight per scoop or approximately 1/3 cup). Once again, mission accomplished!

The apple pie protein mug cake has only 263 calories, yet it has a full meal’s-worth of protein (35 grams per mug cake). The high protein count comes mainly from the vanilla whey, which contains 24 grams of protein per serving. (Usually 31 grams of weight per scoop or approximately 1/3 cup). To bake your ultimate healthy apple pie, you’ll preheat the oven to 425°F and place a dark metal baking sheet on the middle rack of your oven while it preheats. You’ll put the pie.

This apple pie cake recipe has 3 layers; the yellow cake layer, apple pie mixture, and the heavenly topping. Each will be poured over the last in your cake pan. Prepare your oven: Preheat oven to 350 F degrees and spray a 13 x 9 inch pan with cooking spray. Peel, core, and thinly slice the apples.

Place the eggs, sugar, lemon zest, and salt in the bowl of a stand mixer, and beat until thick and creamy. Add the flour, baking powder, and milk, and beat until well combined. Add two thirds of the apples to the batter and mix with a wooden spoon or a spatula. Ingredient Checklist. 1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch double crust pie. ¼ cup unsalted butter.

3 tablespoons all-purpose flour. ¼ cup water. ½ cup packed brown sugar. 8 medium (2-3/4″ dia) (approx 3 per lb)s Granny Smith apples peeled, cored and sliced. Add all ingredients to shopping list.

Mix together the sugar and cinnamon for the topping and sprinkle this mixture over the batter in the pan. Bake the low-fat apple cake for 30-35 minutes or until golden. A toothpick inserted in the middle of the cake should come out clean. Let rest for 10-15. Ginger, cinnamon, cardamom and cloves give this healthy apple pie recipe a bold punch of chai-inspired seasoning.

Serve with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Triple-A Apple Pie Apples, Anjou pears, and apricots are the star ingredients in this triple-A apple pie sure to win the blue ribbon in your household. This caramel-apple cake recipe is surprisingly easy to make and requires just 20 minutes of active time-not bad for a such a good-looking treat!

We call for white whole-wheat flour in this recipe; it has a milder flavor than regular whole-wheat flour and more fiber than all-purpose flour, so it’s perfect for making healthier baked goods.

  • Awesome, thanks.
My recipe is similar. I use the following:
    Salt instead of syrup
Mixed chopped nuts instead of dried fruits
    Ground flax instead of eggs
I use some oats flour with the rolled oats
    Grated coconut
    Yummy

  • I tried this today. since I had no syrup I added 3 bananas and some dried gogi berries. I also threw in some flax seed and chia seeds and hazel nuts..what i like is the no sugar and no all purpose flour.

  • These look soooo good! Are either you or Kate (or both of you!) doing Vlogmas this year? I loved seeing your festive preparations on Kate’s vlogmas last year, it’s really inspiring to see delicious, nourishing Christmas treats that are still healthy. (Also, your white Christmas tree was amazing!)

  • Nuova iscritta…sei bravissima…per caso potresti mettere le ricette e il procedimento anche in italiano? faccio fatica a copiare… grazie

  • I wouldn’t peel apples if they clean and not too tough…..all that roughage…good with oats. Good job less sugar too
A bit like breakfast slice with oats and bananas

  • Tried this easy to make recipe and indeed it was easy to make…. and at the same time tasted great… Thanks for this recipe. God bless.

  • I made this and ukw there was a power cut and my oven went off I kept it on the stove top to cook but I have no idea if it will workout The hardest part about this recipe defenitely is grating the butter without it getting all over the place

  • great recipe! Please be adviced that 170gr of honey still has adverse health effects due to its high sugar and calorie content. In my opinion 100gr easily suffices.

  • My brother, please know that Jesus loves you. He came, died on the cross to save us from our sins, and rose again. Admit that you’re a sinner and repent. Receive Jesus Christ’s gift of forgiveness. Confess your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. You are now saved by grace and have eternal life in heaven. ❤

  • Hey dude your recipes are awesome! You deserve way more subscribers!
One advice that I think will really help you increase the subs is that you can give alternatives or something for the protein powder and stuff.
    Apart from that, amazing recipe!

  • I’m an amateur Baker and was able to make this cake successfully!!! It was so moist and delicious!! Definitely don’t need most (any) added sugar for this recipe of your apples are decently sweet

  • I made this for breakfast. It’s soooo good!!! My husband can’t get enough! Best part is, it’s guilt-free. Thank you for the recipe.

  • Your recipes are extremely healthy and inspiring.I want to try the basic oats cake recipe but without eggs as I am a pure vegetarian.Could you please suggest whether flax powder or greek yoghurt or vinegar would do the job…kindly reply as I cannot wait to bake such a healthy cake version. Thanks a million for such healthy baking options, indulging in such guilt free recipes really works wonders for our sweet cravings.

  • Super super delicious I made it 3 times it is like if it is bought from a famous patistary

So delicious I can not wait the cake to cool down
I always feel happy when I cook the cake even though I did not tried cooking apple before

  • Very excited to try this after I had a huge fail with another recipe that didn’t use any liquid to moisturize the oats, just like a few tbsp of butter for 2 cups of oats!!! ( what were they thinking?) Im not gonna use eggs which I find them extremely gross in baked goods! Gonna use ripened bananas and coconut milk! Cannot wait!

  • I’ve tried it, without adding sugar because apples contain enough sweetness, so it is much more healthier this way. It is absolutely delicious you should try it. It is even better the next day. Butter gives the cake a good flavour

  • LOVE YOUR COOKING STYLE!

  • Thank you for this recipe I try it and it’s very good I want to ask if I can replace the apple with another fruit like cranberry or anything else it is work or I will destroy the recipe?

  • Mmm with banana or vanilla ice cream… I smiled at Kate’s expression pacing waiting eagerly for the taste test. Perfect video for these colder months when I want foods to comfort me funnily I was laughing saying just craving apple pie and ice cream. And here you….

  • Ok…so I am so making these as part of my Christmas goodies! Or maybe tonight. Ya…tonight. Cause we should totally try it out first right!
    Looks so yummy!

  • I really love the banana protein cake recipe and it is a staple for my morning breakfasts post-workout or on the way to work. I sub the protein powder for peanut flour which gives it a great pb banana flavor and similar amounts of protein. Also, I have subbed equal weight of whole apples for bananas and it turned out great, so similar to this recipe:) Keep it up Joe, always love your recipes!

  • I feel like some nutmeg would go really well sprinkled on top of the apples before the caramel filling. Also, if you don’t have a dehydrator I might recommend putting it in the boiler? Love this recipe!

  • For all its worth, your video presentation is beautiful. There are so many recipe channels out there but something is definitely special about this one. First food channel ill be subscribed too. ‍

  • I have made this cake for many times it is the best. Healthy, delicious, and gluten free! Plus i use 3 cups of rolled oats and reduced the amount of dried fruits to half. Even my toddler loves it. Thanks a lot looking forward for more recipes like this
