  • Its called not eating the whole thing lol. Eat small bites (15-20 chews per bite), and just dont eat the entire thing. Eat half or less. Dont eat fast

  • A little heads up they also don’t always mark their ingredients accurately. In the chili they say beans. Well I’m thinking black beans, pinto or a normal chili bean. No it’s garbanzo beans. Which I am allergic to and I had a very bad reaction.

  • My boyfriend worked at Panera for a few months and he absolutely hated it. They didn’t work with his school schedule WHATSOEVER and they said that they work with students.. like that was BS. Then they would comment about how slow he is in front of him AAANDD blamed him for messes that other employees made. Good thing he quit.

  • Panera has a very extensive “secret” menu with other healthier options! You can also swap literally any ingredient in a salad or sandwich to customize it however you would like! As a former employee, it was no issue letting guests know what their options were when swapping out items:)

  • I know this video is old, but for the nutrition info of the strawberry poppyseed and classic salad, does that include the dressing? If so what dressing did you get?

  • I would like to know if you eliminated the bread and just had the tuna as lettuce wrap how much sodium would you have avoided and carbs?

  • You don’t know what’s on that food big homie you need to say you made a mistake on this video:peace when working as hard as you do avoid eating Out

  • not a bad gig in and of itself but Panera corporate is cheap: they charge $3 for delivery while making the drivers use their own vehicles while compensating at the lowest per mile reimbursement allowed by law. Additionally, they pay drivers significantly less than minimum wage while they are out on a call. The workers are ok but management beyond the store level needs to look in the mirror

  • I know this is an old video, but it is so sad that she has to have so many disclaimers when she talks. It’d be nice if people just weren’t idiots who insist on arguing with everyone about everything that comes out of their mouth.

  • I’m honestly wondering why a bread bowl has so much salt… if you look at most bread recipes (as in, baking a whole loaf of bread). you only use very little salt.. what gives lol.

  • Worked my ass off for a year i was the favorite and could’ve been a manager but passed on that shit fast you’ll quickly realize how miserable all the ogs and managers are, I Made good money and got the best hours but in the end the bullshit wasnt worth it

  • Great video! I love this information. Panera bread is the only place I eat outside of my house and I usually take that same sandwich but on Walnut cranberry bread and the seasonal green salad. I don’t eat processed foods so when I do go to Panera I don’t watch the calories so much but jeez! the sodium is ridiculous!! Good job!

  • they suck I live in Nashville the one White bridge rd  they can not your order. they are horrible. the last 2 times we got food from them. she because the employee can not speak English

  • please do more dining debunked!! such a great series and idea!! maybe for the next dining debunked you can do a “healthy restaurant” just like panera

  • not sure if you’re active still but i started yesterday literally at panera and im kinda nervous bc i work again tm and i have no idea what to do when i go in to work

  • I recommend making an updated version to this, as they don’t serve some of items and breads any more due to their new 100% clean motto. Also, I worked for Panera since late-2014 so I will say our food is much better from 2 years ago (:

  • Don’t throw in a comment about gluten free without explaining why you think gluten free options are better. As far as I know, they’re usually worse in every way.

  • I used to work at Panera and they discontinued a bunch of “healthier” options. I can’t begin to tell you how many people come in and ask for the “healthier” option and I never know what to tell them because there aren’t many “healthy” options. Also, the way they market the smoothies make me mad because they market them like they are so healthy but they aren’t!

  • I’m 14 and weighed 282 at 12 and lost weight and gained back 11 lbs and started back on January 25th, 2017 and to today I have lost 65 pounds and I thought I knew a lot about macros and what to watch for, I watch sugars and fats, but now I will watch sodium too!!

  • Thanks for the video. I have mastered making the Panera chicken noodle soup. Do you make special sandwiches when your home and wow your friends and family with all you learned at Panera?

  • Love when you do these kinds of videos! Getting the nutritional breakdown from “every day” places is always helpful. Keep them coming!

  • I love working there lol been with them for 3 years. My coworker one of them became my best friend and I get along with all employees and also the managers are like my mom and dad. Lol

  • I order the modern Greek with quinoa salad, no feta, add red onion, add avocado and I substitute the dressing with cilantro hummus and I get a baguette on the side.

  • i always get a you pick two with a chicken caesar and a grilled cheese. not because its healthy but because i can never justify getting a caesar or grilled cheese at any other restaurant but i love them both. its more like a treat than anything else lol

  • What a lovely life she leads! The endorsement of Panera means so much to me-because of the source, Dr. Yami (smile), and because the taste of the food is excellent.

  • I just found your channel and find your videos super helpful! I was wondering if you’d consider doing an updated video for Panera since they changed their menu and made it “clean”? (I’m obsessed with Panera!) Awesome content!

  • So basically, your white privilege allowed you to obtain employment at 16, with zero (0) experience, making more money than the employees that were there for years is clearly nothing to brag about.

    America, the land of the….

  • can you do an updated version of this pretty please? panera has a lot of different menu items now. i work there and so i eat there a lot lol

  • Panera change almost the entire menu, it would be good if you redo this video, i love panera and would like to see in detail whats the best option now.

  • not a bad gig in and of itself but Panera corporate is cheap: they charge $3 for delivery while making the drivers use their own vehicles while compensating at the lowest per mile reimbursement allowed by law. • Awesome video, Kim. I love Panera. My go to is the Pick Twohalf a salad and a cup of soup and the baguette. I find that fits in my day perfectly. I would love to see a video like this on Mexican food.

  • What the hell is this?? Panda express after workout? How about cooking for half an hr at home with more veggies?? And how is this channel TOOLS TO BUILD BODY YOU WANT? Unsubscribed…

  • My panera boss is racist to me so giving a 2 weeks notice an din done and never working at a restaurant again I guess retail store for now it is

  • Sorry bro, but there isn’t nothing clean about Panda Express. Not even the bathrooms are clean. You got about 2 days worth of sodium in one meal.

  • Don’t get me started with closing prep and line, plus the bread bash awards are full of favoritism, you’ll be there the longest out of majority of your coworkers, do the same amount as them and they get an award and you’re still left out. Hours are also a hassle but they claim to be flexible.

Oh yeah, and forget raises. That seems to not exist.

  • Panda Express was KEY when I was trying to get bigger. Definitely recommended if you need something to eat after the gym but don’t have the energy to cook or have anything already prepared.

  • I worked at Panda Express and when I first started working there simply eating it everyday for a month resulted in my losing like 20 pounds. I’d get fried rice/mixed veggies, string bean chicken and teriyaki chicken

  • Not gonna lie I only work at Panera bread because of my co workers the job sucks but it’s fun with all the people at Panera. It’s pretty much like a family

  • The app will update the nutrition info for whatever you’re ordering as you customize it! It’s probably the easiest way to track that!

  • I like Panera Bread; they have pretty good food there. When I was in New York City, every fast food restaurants or just any restaurants in general us faster than other cities around the USA.

  • You don’t know what’s on that food big homie you need to say you made a mistake on this video:peace when working as hard as you do avoid eating Out

  • I hate working at panera. So belittling and I was promised full time and never got it. Been working three months and quitting. They promise too much and lie a lot

  • im on my senior year now started working in panera since my sophomore year but its very fun very chill vibes because i live in palm coast florida but sometimes i get hectic but bth its a very good for a first timer that dont have any job experience

  • Have you made a video about the benefits of gluten free eating? My husband and I are debating cutting gluten out but we aren’t so sure if the pros outweigh the cons.

  • when it comes to panera bread restaurants you get big taste but very, very very little food, that’s how their profit margins work. you order a sandwich and a bowl of soup, you’re literally only going to get half of a sandwich and only going to get exactly 6 ounces of soup, if you don’t know how little 6 ounces of soup is that’s less than half a serving bowl of Campbell’s canned soup. its nothing, like 7 spoonfuls of soup and its gone. its nothing and you’ve just spent $30 on half a sandwich and 6oz of soup. that’s what i had to realise the one and only time i’ve ever ate there, me and a date decided to eat there on our date, we ordered the half sandwich and a 6 oz bowl of soup and the price was like $54 we just ate a half of a sandwich and a half a bowl of soup. we ate there and left only deciding that were still very hungry! we ended up immediately going to a chick-fil-a where we ordered 2 chick-fil-a sandwiches and an order of 12 nuggets. LONG STORY SHORT PANERA BREAD IS NOT WORTH SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!

  • So grateful for your content. We’ve been going to panera for a while and it’s so easy as a vegetarian, but after we went vegan I was stumbling around on my words when trying to order my old faves haha Thanks Dr. Yami!

  • One of the worst jobs you could hold!, her talking about it is very depressing and & they are terrible. Over worked and none of the managers remember the certain work being done. Out of control!! Trump please fix this

  • i fucking hated this job lol. my coworkers all talked shit on each other. people were smoking in the walk in. managers were dating / telling everyone about their sex life, they broke up & got together constantly. some people were fun but i was bullied bad over here. i got a job at starbucks and then quit panera, don’t regret it

  • I work at the Panera in southeastern Michigan. But I only work during the week. I was a cashier and running food. I never open or close. I made sure it was flexible to my college schedule.

  • So basically, your white privilege allowed you to obtain employment at 16, with zero (0) experience, making more money than the employees that were there for years is clearly nothing to brag about.

    America, the land of the….

  • Is there a survey or a criteria the cashiers have to met. Like working at Home Depot we always had to tell the customers to go online and do the survey or else we would get in trouble. And we would get in trouble for not opening a credit card as well. Is it like that?

  • I hope it is okay to share your videos on FB. I think they are very educational and entertaining. Thank you, Alyssia and team (?) for sharing your hard work and dedication with us.

  • I have mixed feeling about Panera. I’ve been working at one in New York for about 9 months now. I do love the workers in my store, we vibe very well, always joking around. But my store is kind of understaffed so it occasionally pisses everyone off. Sometimes managers have to close dish or pre-close line. Sometimes closers don’t have a pre-closer. My managers do piss me off though. I sometimes think some of them make too many assumptions about how we work. Free food, eh, I miss getting manager meals lol. I mean it is a fun job, just occasionally stressful asf.

  • It’s weird that you work everyday… at the store I work at the associates only work like 1 day a week and it sucks but I do get 10.10 an hour

  • So I worked there for like 2 months and had to quit because I applied for a part time job and they had me working like 50 hours a week (I’m 16 btw) and not to mention they were paying all the new hires more than me because they were “desperate for people ” do not work there you will hate it. Plus all the managers play favorites and are only like 21 so they are very immature and rude. When I asked about pay because my friend was being paid more than me they said there was nothing they could do and that it was disrespectful to talk about pay at work so I quit on the spot. DO NOT WORK THERE

  • I really hope you see this but, it’s so easy to steal from that place the little computers that connect you with your account and you pay through that little thing, you act like you make an account sign in so it looks real click on the coffee soda or tea icon then exit out and act like you just bought it take the cup do what ever get coffee or the soda you know drink it leave no money paid, and my bread co near me has one free snack for every brand new online account make a lot of accounts order online for pick up grab and leave (or if your a fearless sob like me eat it in the store) but if your s really big asshole go to the back and take any bag from the waiting shelf and then, leave (I don’t do that last one because your not stealing from a company but a random person which I just think is TOO mean)

  • I like Panera Bread; they have pretty good food there. When I was in New York City, every fast food restaurants or just any restaurants in general us faster than other cities around the USA.

  • i work at panera now and i honestly love it. obviously there’s cons to all jobs like for instance most of my managers are cool asf but there’s like 2 i dislike a lot. but i only work with the ones i like most of the time. we also get some lazy employees but you’ll get that anywhere u work. my panera is like a family. i get along with a lot of the employees and most of my shifts are really fun. we get paid starting out 10$ plus tips which is always over 11$ an hour. during the months of april to i believe august or september we get 12$ plus tips which goes to 13$ and up. i think only 2 panera’s including mine do this so the pay is amazing. i do agree tho the shifts are challenging and you do a lot of work but it teaches u a very well work ethic. also if u do plan on working there be very specific on your work hours. like for instance i work 4-close. be very specific about how long u want to work and from start to finish. cuz u can easily ware yourself out. i recommend applying if ur thinking of doing it. just u can’t be lazy for sure. i definitly see myself working here for a long time cuz jobs where i live suck ass if ur under 18 i’ve worked basically everything but baker and prep at panera and i definitely think you should try all and see what u like best. i love watching people’s different point of views about it.

  • I know this video is old, but for the nutrition info of the strawberry poppyseed and classic salad, does that include the dressing? If so what dressing did you get?

  • 06:11 soup in bags? Can you say anything about the Kitchen Sink Cookie? I was under the impression that Panera made everything in house. Do they not make the soup and cookies in house?

  • Not gonna lie I only work at Panera bread because of my co workers the job sucks but it’s fun with all the people at Panera. It’s pretty much like a family

  • I worked at Panera for about a year and a half. Most of my co workers were cool but i hated working there. looks like yours was on some illegal stuff.

  • Love this video so much! because I wondered if they were being marketed as healthy but secretly not so healthy. I’m so glad you brought these food statistics to light!

  • I freaking hateedddd working at Panera. Underplayed to do a shit ton of work and a lot of my co workers were wifes thinking they were better than everyone

  • I love this video and this series, but maybe you could do an updated version because panera’s redone their whole menu recently and “cleaned things up” and pushing the healthy image more and im wondering how much that actually helped

  • My panera boss is racist to me so giving a 2 weeks notice an din done and never working at a restaurant again I guess retail store for now it is

  • If y’all think this place is bad….try working at MCDONALDS NOW THAT’S A BITCH THINK OF ALL THESE PROBLEMS YOU GUYS HAVE LISTED, AND THE ONES SHE LISTED AND MULTIPLY IT BY 100 AND ADD A GALLON OF GREASE

  • they suck I live in Nashville the one White bridge rd  they can not your order. they are horrible. the last 2 times we got food from them. she because the employee can not speak English

  • Soo I live 3 minutes from Panera and today I asked if they were hiring and they interviewed me literally 30 minutes later. Tomorrow will be my first day!! Aghhh I’m nervous

  • I stayed up later than usual last night when I found your videos. Thanks for trying to inform people like me who are try to be mindful about food options. I find these extremely helpful!:)

  • My Panera experience is so different lol, mostly I guess because I work at the location on my college campus. Our base pay is $9 (minimum in my state is $7.25) and annually everyone gets a small raise, idk if it’s larger or smaller depending on position/skill level/number of years working, but probably is. Since most of my coworkers were other college students other than some of the managers and a few other associates, things were p chill, but there were a few high schoolers and more adulty adults there too. The soundtrack that Panera plays will forever be stuck in my head lol. I’m working another job more in my field, and hopefully I can drop Panera soon!

  • I worked at Panera for 3 years as a line cook. Worst god damn job I’ve ever had. We were so understaffed we went from “make the best food possible!” to “Just fucking survive and please don’t quit”

  • I started working at Panera at the end of May. I started at 10 an hour. Then recently got promoted to trainer and get paid 12 an hour now. Gonna be a senior in high school. I love the job.

  • Your restaurant videos are SO helpful! Heading to Panera for lunch today, so I needed to watch again. Armed with info and ready to order. THANK YOU:)

  • OMG dont work their if your any age, people arnt slaves. lmao im serious, dont do it people any other place is better! goto cvs lmao or clean trash cans literally all day

  • Good and bad management are ever where you work at.
Panera stores in NJ used to be my partner and the managements there were really good.
    Anyway, I love Panera’s sandwiches.

  • i work here, i used to get hours but then they cut hours to save on labor hours which is fine, but that meant you have to close line (kitchen position) alone, with no preclosers or help, and expect to get done in an hour. I work at the panera across from disney, pre closing alone is next to impossible because we close at 12am and get tons of orders until that time with disney closing around a similar time. The scheduling manager whos a morning manager, schedules everyone in the morning shift yet doesnt schedule anyone in the night shifts causing a hectic and stressful work environment especially on weekends. If cutting hours is the way to go about saving money thats fine, but why are you then trying to enforce an impossible task of closing an entire store completely in less than an hour, with like i said no preclosers. It sounds easy on paper, but there are days where i have to preclose my station while making both salads and sandwiches for hours at a time. for those who dont know, closing line means, sorting out whats expired and trashing it, putting the meats and cheeses in a separate area, cleaning all presses and microwaves(4 in my cafe), draining, cleaning and drying the line in which we store the food, take all unused breads, counting it and giving it to the donation crew that comes, sweeping, moping, deckscrubbing, cleaning the wooden boards that are on line, putting the dividers and utensils back, restocking, along with anything i mightve missed, this even with 2 people is time consuming, yet for whatever reason it was decided that one person should do it. on any given night there are 5 or 6 closers, yet for whatever reason they want 3 closers now. I know im going on and on about this preclosing thing, but it makes next to no sense, and has caused tons of trainers and managers to just leave, making the situation worse. The customers are also rude, but its food so that is to be expected. My coworkers are nice, somewhat, you will always find bad coworkers wherever. It is painfully clear that the higher ups(those in charge of store managers) dont know how it is working here, which leads to crappy shot calling. Other than that working here is fine, on days where i do have good preclosers i can get out in a good set of time, and when things are properly stocked working through rushes is completely doable.

  • I’ve been getting the green goddess cobb salad lately. While it has a fairly high level of fat (33g), sodium (720mg) and sugar (12g), it is packed with protein (36g) so I feel extremely satisfied and won’t graze as much later on snacks and sweets, etc. Much of the fat comes from the dressing, I assume, but also from healthier sources like avocado and egg.

  • Thanks for making this video! Believe it or not, I have never ate at Panera Bread before, so knowing what they offer and the nutritional facts that comes with it is good knowledge to keep in mind when I do go.

  • Yesterday I visited a PANERA store to find out what type of yeast they use…turns out they use sorbitan monostearate which is sometimes referred to as a SYNTHETIC WAX WHICH fleischmann’s and Red Star active dry yeast is. IT IS NOT EVEN YEAST, this is causing BLOCKAGE in the colon of EVERYONE who eats this. Which creates MOLD in you and your children’s bodies…MOTHER’S AND FATHER’S WAKE UP.
Panera also puts UNNECESSARY SUGAR in the salads, the CHILDREN’S MEAL, in fricking EVERYTHING.
Did you know you should consume only 6 teaspoons of sugar a day…take the challenge, add up your sugar. The cans have sugar for sure at least 99%. This sugar EXCITES cancer, THAT IS WHY THEY PUT IT IN EVERYTHING. MURDER INCORPORATE

  • Soo I live 3 minutes from Panera and today I asked if they were hiring and they interviewed me literally 30 minutes later. Tomorrow will be my first day!! Aghhh I’m nervous

  • Cool video bro. I hate when people assume going out to eat is so bad. Just watch what you eat!!! I try and stay away from carbs and just have veggies and Grill Chicken. Stay away from sugar and high calorie foods. I lost weight eating out and exercising

  • Have you made a video about the benefits of gluten free eating? My husband and I are debating cutting gluten out but we aren’t so sure if the pros outweigh the cons.

  • Its called not eating the whole thing lol. Eat small bites (15-20 chews per bite), and just dont eat the entire thing. Eat half or less. Dont eat fast

  • im on my senior year now started working in panera since my sophomore year but its very fun very chill vibes because i live in palm coast florida but sometimes i get hectic but bth its a very good for a first timer that dont have any job experience

  • I’m honestly wondering why a bread bowl has so much salt… if you look at most bread recipes (as in, baking a whole loaf of bread). you only use very little salt.. what gives lol.

  • I put my two weeks notice in after working there for only 1 1/2 months. It’s hell there. The managers are judgemental and the employees are so stuck up. At least at the panera I worked at. It was terrible for me at least. I wish you luck if you decide to work there

  • I would like to know if you eliminated the bread and just had the tuna as lettuce wrap how much sodium would you have avoided and carbs?

  • Thanks for making this video! Believe it or not, I have never ate at Panera Bread before, so knowing what they offer and the nutritional facts that comes with it is good knowledge to keep in mind when I do go.

  • Needed this. Trying to do a clean bulk but friends want to eat out all the damn time. At least I can eat with them a little more often now #notaslonely

  • I appreciate all of your efforts but I would like to defend Panera. Out of all the chain restaurants out there Panera tries to improve the overall American diet. I work here after living in Japan for years. America’s food is disgusting! ( your point obviously) But we hand make our dressings and require our food suppliers to follow moderately strict guidelines. We have a “no no list” of the 15 most disgusting ingredients the FDA allows in our food. You can’t blame Panera for American’s food tastes. Panera has even thought about eliminating fountain soda from the menu but Americans just won’t adapt. There are a lot of other places to pick on first in my opinion.

  • Good and bad management are ever where you work at.
Panera stores in NJ used to be my partner and the managements there were really good.
    Anyway, I love Panera’s sandwiches.

  • i start class at head quarters next week, and i had lil job customer service experience but was told i be getting paid.50 cents above the minimum wage which i think is awesome

  • Fiber and Sugar are making more sense, but could you go over why high or low fat is good/bad or what effects it has on your body when you have too much or too little?

  • I started working at Panera at the end of May. I started at 10 an hour. Then recently got promoted to trainer and get paid 12 an hour now. Gonna be a senior in high school. I love the job.

  • OMG dont work their if your any age, people arnt slaves. lmao im serious, dont do it people any other place is better! goto cvs lmao or clean trash cans literally all day

  • Thank you! My kids and I have been watching your videos a lot! You know exactly what you are talking about and not just giving us recipes but also giving us knowledge! Inspire more people like you do:) Love and Kisses to you!!!!
