  • While I agree with the consensus here that Popeye’s is better than KFC, I don’t have an opinion on “the best.” I’ve never tasted Church’s or Bojangles since they aren’t really around me.

    I think I need to go on a beat fried chicken quest and find out.

  • Some of these were pretty cool and stuff I didn’t know after even working for the company at one point. But none of this was stuff I needed to know before I ate there again. This channel has really gone down hill recently.

  • I’d dare say that KFC’s competitors (Popeyes, Bojangles and Church’s) probably do most things better such as offer tastier, more interesting, varied sides and deserts which are clearly better in overall quality. KFC still uses instant mashed potatoes with okay tasting gravy, so I’d say they’re a bit out of date with something that I can accurately describe as having the consistency of potato paste. It was perfectly acceptable in the late 80’s, but this is now and not then. You have to up your game some! Popeyes’ mashed potatoes and gravy, on the other hand, are delicious and clearly made in house with maybe the exception of their much better tasting Cajun styled gravy. The only thing that I can say KFC makes the absolute best is their original recipe fried chicken, partly because no one else makes it, and that it’s indeed, truly a timeless classic.

  • KFC in Canada is horrible. The chicken stays for hours under hot lamps and the skin is all soft, not crispy all all. And the taste ain’t what it used ro be in the 70s.

  • Work at a British KFC…90 % of this is unavailable here and 30% of this is bull….gravey is made with water and a packet though the crackling does come from the cooked chicken. Ps never brought gravy to have on Xmas not sure why you think us Brits want KFC gravy on our turkey’s come Xmas.   • I am not a big KFC fan, but sometimes I eat there, and your videos seems to be a collection of dietary numbers, former employee stories, unfounded rumors and a lack of actual facts.

  • I’m safe. I’d never even want any of those things at KFC. What I eat there: Original chicken. Not the mashed potatoes and for sure not that gravy. The chicken and maybe a biscuit. By the way: I don’t for a minute believe that gravy is made from the scum at the bottom of the fryers. It’s still gross though.

  • It’s been on the order of twenty-five years since KFC had anything on it’s menu that made me want to make a special trip to one of their stores. But then I can say the same thing about their two biggest competitors in the “fast chicken” market. Boring and, in some cases, just plain tasteless and bordering on nasty…..No “special sauce” made can undo nasty and/or otherwise tasteless chicken I don’t care whose name or face is on the box.

  • Yeaaaah I’m not sure how true this is in countries with proper food regulations. America’s food and animal welfare standards are pretty bad compared to Europe so I doubt anything here is true for where I live. Plus most of these things aren’t even on the menu here, other than the chicken, fries and gravy. The gravy is pretty good though. Very salty, but it’s not something I eat every day (probably like 2-4 times a year) so I’m not that bothered.

  • I once had to call the KFC company to let them know that the store I was getting my food from wasn’t putting enough Nashville sauce on my chicken. And that they wouldn’t give me the buttermilk ranch dip because I didn’t order tenders.

  • The two KFC’s in my area never EVER offer honey BBQ bone in wings. They say they are always out and only have buffalo wings. To hell with buffalo sauce I want the honey BBQ like back in the early 90s. I never go there any more nectar I know they won’t have my bone in honey BBQ wings
