Add a slice or two of beet to a burger instead of tomato — it’s how they roll in Australia (often using pickled beet, but the key is the bright sweetness). Use the staining ability of beets to brilliant effect by grating a beet, stirring in some yogurt, adding a. Wrap each beet in aluminum foil; leave the stem protruding from the foil.

  • Ive been juicing beets for 3 days now with carrots and one lime. My face looks alive again! I use one lime to drown out the taste of the beet since it tastes like dirt. Also had a few heart palpitations but I have way more energy and my mind is clearer.

  • In defense of Arizona its (or at least the kind i get) its real brew tea and most likely has the benefits you mentioned. The only “chemicals” in mine are citric acid which is commonly found in lemons and as boric acid (vitamin c). The only bad things are the sugar content and fructose corn but it is sweetened tea so thats a given its fine in moderation and is way healthier then sodas.

  • I know how powerful this vegetable is I gave it to my friend who had stage 4 cancer the nurse told me I was wasting my time coming to the hospital everyday the same day he drank the beets was the last day he got a blood transfusion and he was getting a blood transfusion everyday for a few weeks!     Decided to try a plate of fresh and sugar-free canned beets. 2 hours later BP has been good. My doctor said the beets have told him my nitric oxide level is low. Beets really are a super food.

  • All I drink is 2 tablespoons of ACV w/ water and love it. But bad for the teeth enamel. My dentist said when drinking it add more water to dilute is best and to drink it fast, then rinse. Never allow the ACV sit on the teeth.

    I made a few days ago raw beetroot salad, I found it it bitter and hard to chew

  • I baked a beet just like a baked potato and it was DELICIOUS! I even added butter and salt when ready to eat just like I do a baked potato and I hardly tasted a difference. I’m never cutting up a hard beet again. I’m to lazy! LOL

    1. Wash the beet thoroughly (leaving the leaves off)

    2. Rub olive oil on your hands and rub all over the beet

    3. Sprinkle salt and pepper (to taste) all around the beet.

    4. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for an hour

    5. Once ready let cool and eat it just like a baked potato. (Try your favorite toppings you would use on a baked potato if you’d like.)

  • the steaming method is the best for beets… while the roasted kind may taste great, cooking in tin foil should be avoided at all costs and is not a healthy cooking surface
