  • If you feel like you need an immune booster, I highly recommended what some call a flu bomb. Look it up! What follows is my favorite recipe:

    -Juice of 1 large lemon
    -1 or 2 cloves of crushed or very finely minced garlic (I use a garlic press that turns it into a paste)
    1 or 2 teaspoons of freshly grated ginger
    1 or 2 teaspoons of freshly grated turmeric (I recommend using a micro plane to grate the ginger and turmeric)
    1 good size pinch of cayenne powder
    1 good size pinch of freshly ground black pepper
    1 dash of pink sea salt (optional)
    Combine all the above with about 2 cups of almost boiling water.
    Let it steep for a few minutes and stir occasionally.
    Sip while meditating.
    I absolutely love the flavor of this.
    It makes a great broth for a variety of soups too!

    Just wanted to add my 0.02 cents to this topic being a dietitian.

    So we cant actually “boost” our immune system. We can strengthen it over time by eating well, keeping fit, and living a healthy lifestyle which can be streamlined by making specific dietary considerations. But please don’t think that eating certain foods in an attempt to boost your immunity will protect you against COVID. It won’t. First and foremost make sure you wash your hands, do social distancing, and listen to the WHO regarding precautions to implement.
