Ingredients: 1 Scoop protein powder (vanilla or chocolate) 1/2 Cup strawberries (frozen works best) 1/2 Banana (frozen works best) 1/2 Cup choice of milk (almond, skim, soy) 1/4 Cup rolled oats (rolled oats will blend easier than steel-cut oats. INGREDIENTS. 1 ⁄ 4. cup dry uncooked oatmeal. 1. 1 tablespoon smooth cashew butter or 1 tablespoon almond butter. 1. scoop protein powder.

1. tablespoon organic honey or 1 tablespoon agave nectar. An oatmeal protein shake is good for more than just breakfast. Try one as a pre-workout meal, or as an afternoon snack. Some like it hot!

Try adding blended oatmeal to your favorite soup instead of milk or cream. Make a smoothie from tomato sauce blended with oatmeal. 1) weigh out dry oatmeal flakes and cook on stove top or microwave as desired.

Make the protein shake while oatmeal cooking: 1) Measure ice/water and add to blender. 2) Weigh cocoa powder and add to blender. 3) Weigh protein powder.

INSTRUCTIONS Add the quìck oats and mìlk to a bowl. Use the lower end of the mìlk measurement for thìck oats and the hìgher end for runnìer oats. (You can always add a bìt. Boys Ahoy offers up a recipe for an oatmeal peanut butter protein shake with oats, vanilla whey powder, peanut butter powder, almond milk and banana; or, you could try Jennifer Meyering’s take on everyone’s favorite cookie with her oatmeal cookie protein.

I make them super thick by adding a couple egg whites, whisking them in and microwaving. Basically, I cook the oats according to the package directions. Then, I whisk in 2-3 egg whites, and microwave for another 45-60 seconds.

The egg whites cook and fluff. You’ll know the oatmeal is done when all the liquid is absorbed and the oats are thick and fluffy. Remove oats from the heat and stir in protein powder. If the consistency of the oats gets too thick, add in a little more water or milk.

  • why on earth would you add chocolate milk? if you’re having protein shakes there’s a chance you are interested in eating clean and healthy…. Chocolate milk isn’t the way forward. Also by blending the oats your body will digest them allot quicker….. great for after a workout and you want to refuel but I wouldn’t have this in the morning and think that you are benefiting from the slow release of the carbs in the oats as that’s gone from processing them heavily by grinding in the blender to a slurry and lastly that is allot of sugary fruit to be having in one sitting especially when you are drinking it in liquid form. literally rushing the body with sugar

  • Never mix peanut butter in milk. It causes skin issues. Milk n peanuts are opposites to each other n peanut butter also contains salt and taking with milk causes serious skin issues… Have peanut butter separately two hours after you consume milk…

  • I would use some yogurt but I’d rather not because majority of the brands contain way to much sugar and carbs. I didn’t realize 2 oz of pasta had 42 grams of carbs. Nope. I can’t eat that much in one setting so the protein powder helps with the additional consumption. ����
