1. In a large bowl, combine the kale, carrots, Brussels sprouts, broccoli and cabbage. 2. Stash in a sealed container in the fridge and build each salad when you’re ready to eat. Scale 1x 2x 3x Ingredients Detox Salad Ingredients: 3 cup s finely-chopped* kale leaves; 2 cup s finely-chopped broccoli florets; 2 cup s finely-chopped red cabbage; 1 cup matchstick (shredded) carrots; 1 cup roughly-chopped fresh cilantro leaves; 1/2 cup toasted slivered almonds; 1/3 cup thinly-sliced green onions; 1 avocado, peeled pitted and diced; 1 batch Carrot Ginger Dressing (see below). Using a food processor, process all the veggies up to the parsley until finely chopped and mix together in a large bowl.

This may take a few batches. Add almonds to the food processor and pulse, until roughly chopped, and mix in with the salad along with the. A neighbor of mine brought this salad to a pot-luck party and it was a huge hit! Of course I needed the recipe and she told me it was a variation of “Whole Foods Detox Salad“, but she had made some modifications.I immediately made a batch and modified it even further.

Skip the cleanse and eat this instead. Packed with veggies, avocado and seeds, this healthy salad recipe is bursting with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Everything can be prepared ahead of time except the avocado. If you love beets, shred one raw and add it to the salad. Common detox foods includ. DETOX SALAD INGREDIENTS This chopped salad recipe is loaded with immune-boosting foods. The key to the simple vinaigrette is to let it sit in the fridge for about an hour (longer if you have the time) before tossing the salad with it. But why call it a detox salad?

World’s Healthiest Foods reports that cruciferous vegetables(such as broccoli, kale, cauliflower, cabbage, watercress, and mustard greens) are said to be detoxifying because they provide support for the immune system, inflammatory system, hormonal system, detoxification system, and antioxidant system (source). Yes, eat mostly plants, eat salads. But “detoxing” is not a thing.

  • Tried the Carrot and cinnamon one last night with some baked meatballs (Lentils actually but don’t tell the kids) and it was delish. I made a double batch so we have some for lunch today. I added raw Broccoli and some pumpkin seeds to the salad for some more bulk and it was super yummy. Thank you from Fiji ❤️

  • Will this get soggy if kept in the fridge? Just wondering if you make small portions to be eaten quickly or if it keeps after being tossed. Thanks!

  • Good morning our Warrior Queen and our Princess Cloud just wanted to hello safe this memorial weekend from my familia to your’ s . Princess Cloud be safe to and from

  • YES! Another of those chopped detox salads! I loooved the first one (with broccoli, red cabbage and cranberries) and I’m sure I will love this one too! Please more of those! <3 <3 <3 Thank you!

  • Ran across this recipe and decided to try it. While I do have a vita mix I do not have a food processor. I DO have one of those hand choppers (the kind that you press down and the blades turn as you press down). That worked really well….but it does take time and effort chopping up all those veggies! I’m a firm believer than texture can make or break your love of a certain food. While I really enjoyed this one (made it for my mom for her birthday), not sure I will do it again. Mine ended up making plenty of leftovers and while giving a big heap to my mom I had plenty left over for myself. Looking forward to trying the chicken taco bowls next.

  • I just made this salad and it is so delicious. The only reason I didn’t subscribe is because I am vegan for health reasons and it looks like most of your recipes have meat. But this salad is amazing. I will be making this a lot.

  • I have been enjoying this salad all week. Today, I was craving something sweet so I added a yellow delicious apple, diced, and dressed the salad with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I love satisfying cravings with healthy foods!

  • Hi Stephanie!…love all your vids and learning how to make authentic scrumptious Mexican food from you…I have one question tho…non food related…Ur hair it!!..can I buy that or did you get it professionally done?.and what color is is beautiful color

  • This is an incredible salad! I love it. When I make it I leave out the mustard and add cilantro instead. I also change out the lemon for line. So great!

  • I just wanted to say thank you for sharing your story and family..I am new to your channel watching all the videos.

  • I am in LOVE! This salad is PHENOMENAL! It meets every taste bud’s needs and my tummy is wonderfully satisfied. I made it for the first time today. I’m serving it with dinner, along with zucchini pizza. I thought man, this salad is a lot of work. I wondered if I’d made too much. Now. I hope I’ll have enough! It’s worth all the time it takes. Thanks Dani!

  • Quick Question: (I’m new to the Cooking World and need some advice): Do you cook the broccoli and cauliflower before chopping or just wash it and chop it?

  • I’m waiting on my Vitamix, which I ordered last Sunday through you and this is the FIRST thing I’m going to make! I can’t wait! Thanks for the video and the tips!

  • I LOVE this salad!! Its the best to eat, for the weekend, when you’re on a diet and want to avoid temptation. Its filling and satisfying….Please make this and enjoy!

  • I would add some red onion, because that’s my fave, sub walnuts for all of the nuts, and serve a huge helping beside some grilled chicken or fish.

  • girrrrrl this salad looks soooo good… just subscribed to ur channel and no regrets at all… a mexicana supporting another mexicana

  • WHAAAAAAT A DELICIOUS SALAD!!! I LOVE IT!!! Thank you for this recipe….. Hello from FRANCE!!!

  • I am an underweight person and I want to increase my weight.

What you told about the routine of eating and drinking on the channel, will it be good for the underweight people?

    Please tell me

  • Hie Subah, I love your channel. It is a great source of knowledge, I really appreciate your efforts.

I would like you to check with your ingredients in the cucumber tomato salad recipe, cucumber and tomato, do not go together as they have different digestion timings and mixing them together can cause gas, bloating and other issues as well.
When the reach the stomach and the process of fermentation starts the acids released in the abdominal cavity for digestion can cause numerous problems.

  • Best food is which satisfy your taste also according to Ayurveda if we eat like this all we lead to depression bestest food which our daadi nani and mother taught us to cook

  • This salad looks AMAZING! I love cilantro so my mouth watered just watching you out this together haha. I’m going to try this one day!! Thank you for all the recipes. You’re on a roll!

  • Love how healthy you are it’s inspires me to be the same! I just filmed a what I eat in a day! Trying to be healthy would love it if anyone would check it out!

  • Made this this weekend. It’s delicious. I had it for lunch with a little piece of roast chicken and ate it with brown rice for dinner. This is going to be a staple for sure!

  • All receipies are nice and innovative but ingredients which you use to make these are difficult to find in local market and bit costly also. Some vegetables like lettuce, rocket leaves and red cabbage specially.

  • That salad looks delicious!!! I need to try the extra ingredients you put. What is the salad dressing? I’m off to research nutritional yeast. And I’ll be crunching on pumpkin seeds, these parasites don’t have a chance! You inspire me so much!

  • This is a old video but new for me, im a fairly new subbie. I’m pleased to meet a person that is beautiful inside and out. You are so young with old school values. The time it takes you to prepare the food&cook it reminds me of my Granny. She made everything from scratch like u, you are teaching young women how to take care of the home, kids, and hubby without complaining! Also u are teaching other ethnicities how to prepare Mexican Cuisines properly, I’m Black but I eat more Mexican food than anything bc its healthy, hearty, delicious, and u don’t have to be rich to purchase the ingredients. THANK YOU, PRAY YOU AND YOUR &FAMILY HAVE A GREAT 2020.

  • HiDannyI found your channel casually, and I watched all of your episodes.I have to say it’s really helpful to me. In China we used so many oil and salt in our meal and it’s hard to lose my weight. But now,I think I know how to change my eating hobbits. So thanks for your sharing.谢谢!

  • Sorry I got confused with the Yeast ingredient because on the Detox drink video with spirulina, I think you said that the spirulina was to get rid of yeast. Maybe I missed something, I’m not sure. Thanks!

  • Hello.. I hv read that tomatoes n cucumbers shouldnt be combined together as each of them need different enzymes to digest.. Please guide how far is this correct

  • I cannot do the yeast. But everything else looks good. When I was nursing I made lactation cookies with that yeast and got the worlds nastiest yeast infection from being overloaded I guess. Never again!

  • Hi Dani @cleananddelicious, is it possible to cook the broccoli and cauliflower and then use food processor to chop it? I have some digestive issue to eat raw veggies or raw food in general? Any advice is greatly appreciated Thank you

  • Neat idea! Lots of greenness there…My favorite part of this is the fine chop you used for everything. Big ole leaves (Romaine, eg.) are a peeve of mine.:-)

  • We live were there is alot of asians and let me tell you their food is super good we also have a asian store and they eat so so healthy!!!

  • I like making salads, definitely going to be making this. btw, I adore your relationship with your sister. I don’t have a sister, I wish I had one like yours. You two are precious, can really feel the love between you two in your videos. Keep it up.

  • Hello, thank you for a great channel! Will definitely try the Mama-salad. I bought myself a Vitamix a3500i with the accessories cups and bowl two months ago. Do I still need to get a dry container or an extra smaller container? (Your wet vs dry) I am using it daily and still experimenting doing grains. Thank you

  • Oh my gawd girl thank you!!!! I’ve been on keto for the past 3 weeks and I’m so bored with food rn so I’m excited to try this one

  • People say the stupidest things! All recipes are a starting point for you to create exactly as she did or change it to what you like.If you think oil clogs your pores then don’t use it. The world is short of people with common sense or imagination.

  • I would never have thought to chop a salad in the food processor. I’ve been looking a lot lately at chopped salad, but having some issues with pain in my teeth, when I bite on something hard! this would really help! Going to give it a try.

  • I watched you make lunch while I was on lunch at work lol
It’s still a little pricey for me but I know a lot of the views club want the ninja blender you’re using and it’s on sale at Costco for $49.99 from $79.99

  • I am late on this one. I made this for my good prep for the week and did as you suggested and did not dress it. It is a big salad for one person so I stated thinking other ways I could use it. I used the salad as a base for fried rice.. It was delicious!! Thank you Dani..

  • I tried this recipe and it was great. I love veggies. I always have since I was a kid. This also does a great job to detoxify the body. I was going very frequently and didn’t remember that it was the salad.

  • This looks amazing!!!

I am confused about the reference to “parasites” though. What kind of parasites? Because those can be lethal right?

  • If you suffer from Crohn’s disease or irritable bowel syndrome, I would check with your doctor before consuming the nutritional yeast.

  • Great recipes and great video quality! I also truly appreciated your vocal tone and speech of speech in this video. So many use too much humor which dumbs down the information.

  • Hi Dani, I LOVE this salad. I’ve made it a couple of times now and I just had a small bowl for a snack! I LOVE the salad dressing too. Yum Yum!

  • This is gonna be on the memorial day bbq menu! Thank you Steph! I can not get enough of avocado. We will miss you Cloud!! Stay safe girl❤ Sending Anguiano love

  • I definitely want to try the dressing-never thought about adding cayenne pepper. I might steam the kale first just a bit to soften. Can’t wait to try!

  • Hi Nicole! Love this recipe. However, I was wondering what could I replace the Dijon Mustard with? I don’t like eating mustard because it breaks me out. Thanks!

  • Lol, OMG!!!! we have wings in common my weakness buffalo hot dipped in ranch❤ nombre shut up, but back to the detox I’ve been doing the aguas and they are helping me out. Summer and salads oh yes.

  • Looks delicious!! I’am not a fan of mustard so i guess ill just have to add more . I’ll totally have to try this thank You!!

  • Wow. So delicious. I will make this one for sure. I have made beet greens and raw beet salad. Now I will add your salads to my recipes.

  • that looks delish Danny i will make that tomorow to go with my kangaroo steak perfect ac-compliment in fact id make that to go for about 3 days worth of lunches for ( bty kangaroo is similer to venison etc

  • If I have the personal cup adapter for the G-series, can I use the new 8 oz blending cup? If not, why? And does the newer 8 and 20 oz blender base fit the G-series? I know they aren’t supposed to go together, but would it work anyways?

  • So one of your hints in this updated video suggests making less than the original recipe. What amounts do you suggest? (There is only two of us here.)

  • I have tried raw cucumbers and celery. They tasted horrible. Nothing can mask the bitterness of a bitter cucumber. Raw celery is too fibrous and tough to chew. Raw sweet peas have a weird sweet taste. I personally don’t like raw peas because of the sweetness, though somehow I love sugar snap peas and snow peas and split peas.
I think a salad with assorted leafy greens would match my palate better red lettuce, green lettuce, spinach, arugula. Other vegetables must be cooked to make the flavor milder and less bitter. Although it’s true that plants are nutritious, it’s also true that their powerful ability to treat diseases is also part of having plant toxins to avoid predation. I don’t think plants want to be eaten. What advantage would there be if every part of the plant is consumed by another? Nature must select for advantageous traits in plants for best chances of survival, and people select for whatever’s delicious. The tricky thing is to find a balance so that the plant will be toxic to fungi, bacteria, and pest animals and perfectly edible for humans. Not an easy task.

  • I have a question can you shallow this with no chewing? I had a Surgury that I can’t chew anything just yet so everything have to be bleanded before eating or easy to shallow like mashed potatoes or smoothes

  • I made this today and loved it!! Thanks so much for this recipe. I had a question about the calories, is it 370 something per serving or for the entire salad? It seems pretty high if it was per serving considering all the calories are coming from the olive oil. Please clarify

  • This recipe looks delicious. Do you know what might make a good substitute for the olive oil. Olive oil (like all other processed oils) harms the endothelial cells in our blood vessels, so I have removed it from my diet. Any thoughts on a replacement?

  • I couldn’t wait all week to make this tonight with my daughter for dinner. She loved preparing the cucumbers(she guessed you would cut triangles) and all of the dressing(Yup, onion cry too). We changed pistachios to walnuts for some more healthy fats. I suggested we also offer feta and Trader Joe’s orange flavored craisins to top it off. The flavors worked beautifully. She and my son gave it a 3 star on our 3 star scale for recipes. It was “DELISH!”. You inspired her cooking with me almost every night since she was 4. We remember you cooking and pregnant. Please keep sharing your quick to prepare, healthy family recipes. They help bring us together in the kitchen and introduce us to new healthy ideas. Thank you!

  • Detox with that much fat? I understand that pistachios provide healthy monounsaturated fats, but the oil is excessive. If you want to get the healthy fats the olives provide, why not just eat an olive with the water soluble vitamins, minerals, and fiber still intact. “healthy” oils are just a marketing scheme that are just isolated, concentrated lipids that are striped of all other nutrients from the whole plant, just as sugar is a refined, concentrated source of monosaccarides from a cane sugar plant or sugar beet.

  • Wow! Ok I’tried the cabbage, carrot slaw salad with the tahini, lemon dressing and it was delicious. I ate it 2 days in a row and didn’t feel the need to add any extra protein. It was so good. Meghan do you ever make your own tahini? ☺ how about it?

  • I was on board until you added the oil. You can’t call this a detox salad when it’s draped in 100% artery clogging fat. There is a big lie being perpetuated that oil is a ‘good’ source of fat. IT IS NOT! It has NOTHING in it: no nutrients, minerals, phytochemicals, NOTHING but 100% fat and calories. Don’t add oil to this salad and it will be much better for you. • U said urself in video that u should not add any seasoning in salads mostly lemon…but u put lemon in 2 salad receipe…tell me the reason to put…just to enhance the taste or any other reasons

  • Hey Dani, I just made this salad and it is incredibly tasty and also satisfies my need for something crunchy!!!! Thanks for all you do.

  • This is giving me so many ideas. WOMAN, you’re epic! I can’t WAIT to tell my friends and family about this recipe. I’m trying to eat healthier, and THIS is perfect and would go great with everything and I’m happy because it won’t cost me THAT much $$$

  • I like the salad but the I don’t think pistachios will go well with the green leaves, I think sunflower seeds or pine nuts are your best option when it comes to (nuts with salads), but the secret is to shallow fry for few seconds with a bit of olive oil & a bit of ground paprika, before you add them to the salad, it really brings out the flavours in them, also I would add a bit of origano to the salad dressing.

  • I live watermelon but… did not enjoy the aqua sandia. I followed exactly!! Even danced during the blended time just like you did hehehe
I find nutritional yeast in the bins at WinCo. love the bins!!

  • Made it! Loved it. Glad i put in Craisins bcuz without it, it wasnt as good. When i dont have dressing ingredients, i use whatever dressing i have available. Thanks for sharing! Healthier bcuz of u.

  • Danni honey, this salad is the best. I belong to a cooking group in NJ and everyone loved this recipe. You have a bunch of new fans up here in Warren County, NJ!

  • Most raw vegetables make great fresh and healthy looking salads but are hard to bite and most have a very unpleasant taste. I don’t see the point in making a salad that’s only good for looking at, unless of course you just want to get views.

  • I would love more recipes for using aminos, nutritional yeast I just purchased them, besides this I have no other recipes to use those items

  • thank you.. am totally addicted to a good salad. I love making Tabooleh coz it is really healthy for me and my husband. I love your ideas and the way you use your fingers to mix it. My mom use to say that we all have good chemicals on the tips of our finger and that too go inside the salad.

  • I’m overweight and I’ve been trying to eat clean lately. I’m wondering, for anyone that switched from processed to clean foods, did you do it cold turkey? Or did you slowly incorporate it into your diet and switch over? I’m afraid of doing it all at once and then craving sugar a few weeks later. Thanks.

  • Where is the best place to buy shou wu chih? The real stuff, it’s kinda expensive but may be worth it for my eyes, sons bones & tendons. Thank you so much for all you do for us Steph! Always a pleasure to watch, listen & learn from you & your sweet sis❣️

  • As a vegetarian who has gotten bored with food….your videos make me want to eat healthier! Keep up the beautiful salads and healthy foods! Thank you so much!

  • I know this is an older video so I pray you see it 1)I adore you! Thank you for your inspiring talks
    2) I was just diagnosed with systemic diffuse scleroderma and need help with as many “healing” stage recipes as I can get. Meaning the no salt, no oil etc. looking into Gerson Protocol which doesn’t use salt, oil, or many spices for cooking. No legumes, nuts or grains either. Sending you all my love and blessings

    Stephanie ❤️
