  • Just discovered i dont like tumeric at all, and now i know why u didnt mix the chicken with your hands, mine still yellow after the second day, should give a hint about that lol

  • Roasted sweet potatoescube a sweet potato into 1 inch cubes, toss with a tbsp coconut oil, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper and a little paprika, then bake for 25 minutes at 420 F. I eat this recipe 3 or 4 times a week! I’m addicted.

  • Just found your channel:) I was born in Latrobe! Now I’m living in Florida, but my mom lives in Ligonier. Can’t wait to try these. Thanks.

  • oh man we’re getting lightheaded and it smells like gas because our oven isn’t working, let’s keep taping though and turn the oven off + open the windows + leave immediately after doing both those things.

  • Nice, but… two of your ingredients were other recipes all to themselves. Date paste and apple sauce. Would be nice to just use base ingredients as a starting point.

  • Hi Brittany! I made these but found the brownies had too much sweet potato flavor….Do you think if I subbed 1 cup white potato for 1 cup sweet potato that would work?

  • You can actually grow potatoes in your garden but sweet potato comes a long way from home, the nutritional status is quite similar, except the SP has high amount of beta carotene in the skin

  • It was a fail in my house… But it’s my fault! I will try it again in a pie pan, I put it in a small mini loaf pan and it was too thick to cook properly without burning. Just wanted to share for others to know ahead:)

  • Hi guys, this is your neighbor one floor below you. Please keep your noise down thx. oh welcome to the new neighborhood hope you like it. chao

  • Tried this today and I have one tip!! Don’t make the crust too think or it will take quite a while too cook! I’m not sure if it will help but I’m putting it back in for another 25 min to make to crust crispier

  • Well……i will use Idaho potatoes. I didn’t like sweet potatoes when I was younger and my mom got “regular “ potatoes…..so….

  • #1
Sweet potato fries bake in over for 30 mins (15mins each side)…
Peel. Slice. Add some coconut oil. Add a bit of salt, pepper, cayenne pepper. Mix. Place on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Enjoy with meats, fish, eggs, or other vegs like asparagus!

    # 2
3 ingredient flat bread a recipe right I’m making now! (Look it up on YouTube)… The oldest something… For flour options buckwheat, arrowroot, coconut, teff are all great alternatives to going gluten and sugar free! Have fun! I’m excited to make this and use it for pizza base, or breakfast wraps with kale and eggs, and such.

    #3
    Quick way to make these:
Peel, dice them small, and pan fry them with a little coconut oil on medium to med-high heat. I add the same spices as if I were baking them.
    10-15 mins and they’re ready.

    #4:
Steam them for mashed sweet potatoes:
-poke a few holes with a fork into the potatoes (optional?)
    -steam for 20 mins
-peel and wait for it too cool before eating!

  • Thank you for this! i got a question though; Is it alright if my sweet potato is more on the beige\pale yellow color? its not orange like the ones i see on youtube. is it still healthy?

  • Hey there! I constantly see people using sweet potatoes in everything but i just cant seem to like them! Its like were worst enemies. I was wondering if using a regular white potato would still be a healthy substitute? Im just now starting to try making healthy lunches and im stuggling to find things i like as a picky eater. Thank you!

  • You forgot beta-carotene! I just love sweet potato and all the thing that I can do with it! I never peel my potatoes, even when mashing! Why remove most of the ascorbic acid?

  • Roasted sweet potato hummus with a bit of cumin and chill powder is one of my favourites. We love it as a one sheet meal with chicken, sweet potato, onions and peppers seasoned with a mix of harissa paste, tomato paste, olive oil and lemon juice. I have a friend who makes burritos with sweet potatoes, onions, peppers, black beans and a bit of cheese. She says they taste really good and are a really affordable family meal. They are also great in soups with curry and/or coconut milk.

  • You guys gave me hope for cooking!!! Y’all made EVERYTHING work lol. Everyone always has the right utensils and the right ingredients lol and you both made it work with what you have.

  • Where the hell are you getting all this information from, Jamie???

  • YOU GUYS ROCK. NO MATTER THE OBSTACLE, Y’ALL NEVER GAVE UP! THAT MEANT MORE TO ME THAN THE ACTUAL VIDEO. Y’ALL ARE AWESOME AND CONGRATULATIONS ON THE WEDDING AND THE NEW HOME

  • Simple fast effective. Just cut n throw into mixing bowl. Put enough olive oil in to get them slimy. Throw in a dash of salt, dash of pepper and a hefty amount of garlic. Oven 400 degrees 20-28 minutes dep on your oven. Done. I like these more than my main dish

  • Your videos are of high quality but the way that woman speaks is so irritating man it makes it so hard to watch “400 degrees Fahrenheeeeeit” please stop you’re not hosting a kids show

  • Hi, I made the brownies and they taste incredible! Even better than the sweet potato fudge if that’s possible. I used maple syrup instead of the date paste and added peppermint extract and chocolate chips. The problem is that even though I left them in the oven for 30 minutes, they never formed up at all. They came out sludge-y. Like heavy frosting. I would never be able to pick it up without having it drop in glops. Was it because I subbed the syrup? I’m still in love with the way they tastewhat a chocolate fix! )

  • You guys in charlotte? Becuase I literally live in an apartment complex that is brand new with that exact same pool area and the same kitchen….

  • I am a 72 yrs. old widower in Las Vegas, NV., USA.. This turned out extremely good and nothing could be easier. I didn’t use the cheese you mentioned as I haven’t ate cheese in 14 yrs. since my heart attach and triple bypass and I don’t miss it. Also I topped it with the mix of tomato paste and diced tomatoes, beets, green bell pepper, red onions, broccoli, and spinach leaves. I made the crust too thick and had to bake it 30 min. the second time in the oven at 390 F. This is a winner.

  • I made roasted sweet potatoes about 2 weeks ago, almost like this video and they are delicious! One thing I would suggest is adding diced onion to the potatoes, it’s even better

  • I wondering what i did wrong…my brownie is very very soft, too soft really. Like it’s not cook and it pass 25 min in the oven at 350 and I put it back for 10 min more and another 20 min. It still soft, just a bit more cook but soft.

  • I have a question… i buught 1200g raw chicken breast. After i cook it, all the chicken was 900g. I put 150g in every meal so i get 6 meals… i need to put less chicken for meal? Sorry for my bad english:D

  • Reheating question: If I am just eating these at home, how do I reheat? I have meal plan containers but they can’t go in the oven. Don’t want to microwave. Eat cold? I don’t need the HotLogic thing because I am just eating at home. Thank you great videos.

  • What if you cut out all he vegan shit like vegan parmesan and just used quality ingredients? I imagine it would be more “Tasty”. Is that the name of your channel or are you still catering to hipster dipshits?

  • I use sweet potatoes for both our family and the pups. We eat Whole Foods and focus on our veggies, primarily very low carb and berries. When we carb cycle, we still keep it low. I love the ending of watching you live.

  • Jamie, you forgot beta carotene! Carrots, swede turnips, oranges, butternut squash, sweet potatoes…! Yum yum. How about sweet potatoes with a Caribbean curry with those scotch bonnets? Great stuff!

  • Making this tomorrow…if we have enough sweet potatoes left after making your chocolate pudding recipe for the 100th time. So GOOD!!!

  • I saw several comments saying the brownies never set even after cooking them longer. You haven’t replied to them. My experience was the same. Gooey. Any advise?

  • I know it’s not the point of the video but it was good to see y’all take the gas smell seriously. Too many accidents happen from people not taking it seriously.

  • I always crave a sweet when I get home from work but seldom have a healthier version. This recipe is so simple, I’m gonna add it to my batch prep this weekend!

  • I love sweet potatoes that are savory. I disliked them sweet. Baked sweet potato with green onion, salt, and pepper. Also, sweet potato is a bomb with curry or sriracha.

  • I love sweet potaoes. Never liked them growing up. I like them now. Started eating them more for thier potassium and incredible fiber. I love making a root veggie “hash” beets, sweet potatoes, potatoe, carrots sometimes and mushrooms. All fried in water. Incredible flavour. Now I’m experimenting with sweet potatoes boats and other recipes.

  • I’m a year late, but I’m here for this. After seeing a Snapchat friend post a sweet potato crust, I had to find a homemade recipe. Here I am

  • Loved them, Brittany!.. I made these the other day for me and my hubby. Instead of the orange sweet potatoes, I used a combination of Hannah and Japanese sweet potatoes, which both have a whitish flesh. We like these better and think they’re sweeter, especially when roasted until very soft. Anyway, your recipe is terrific. Thanks so much!

  • I just ordered your book from Amazon and being a youtube lover decided to look for you here. I saw your book at a local book store and wanted it. It is lovely. I am taking it to Florida to share with my vegan kids next week. Best wishes from Portland Oregon.

  • That happened to me when i first moved in my apartment. If the oven is new or hasn’t been used in a while, it has to burn off the chemicals. It goes away. The light headedness and gas smell is very annoying tho. I have a carbon monoxide alarm so i wasnt too worried

  • Awesome thank u! Was looking for a quick SP yummy recipe & found more than I could hope have asked for lol…going with the ones on the skewer..! Great vid, would love another or a butternut squash vid.,the possibility with some things are endless! Lovvve fall food! much love ❤️✌✌

  • I absolutely love sweet patatoes.
I actually just made sweet patatoe cakes in the oven and then with a fried soft egg on top is delicious.

  • Why are you using just Fahrenheit? America is the only country that still uses that outdated system. Would appreciate if you could tell us in degrees celsius too so I don’t have to get out a calculator each time. Thanks, good video regardless though:)

  • Sweet Potato & Cranberry Casserole

    Ingredients:
4-5 sweet potatoes, cooked enough to mash
    ¼ cup butter or margarine
    ½ cup packed brown sugar
    ½ tsp nutmeg
    1 pinch ground cinnamon
    a Dash of ginger
1-2 TBS orange juice (I DID NOT LIKE THE ORANGE JC IN THIS)
    1 (10.5 oz) package of mini-marshmallows

Bake, boil or microwave your sweet potatoes so they are mashable

    While potatoes are cooking:
    · In a medium saucepan, Low-boil 1 bag of fresh cranberries in 1 cup of water and ¼ tsp liquid Stevia, until thickened.
    · Mix together: mashed sweet potatoes, butter, brown sugar & spices
    · Spread cranberry sauce on bottom of casserole dish and cover with sweet potato mix
    · Add a layer of marshmallows

Bake at 350 for ½ hour.

  • Potatoes are most definitely a vegetable, regardless of what Jamie says here, and if you eat the skins they are extremely nutritious.

  • Try these with purple sweet potatoes (even more nutritious ) you can also omit oat flour and make a 3 ingredient purple brownies

  • Thank you for the amazing videos you do ❤, I am a big fan. This however did not turn out well, it was too “goey”, I even put it back into the oven twice, thinking it was not done. Maybe it is the propotion of too much potato and not enough flour.

  • I love your sweet potato chocolate pudding recipe, so I can’t wait to try this one out too! Thanks for all the great healthy recipe ideas!

  • A really great roasted sweet potato/roasted red pepper blender soup: roast whole sweet potato and bell pepper: cool off pepper and strip skin off, put them in a blender with a bit of chili flakes, one small clove of garlic juice of half a lemon and a cup of water. Don’t even need salt or olive oil, it’s so flavour rich.

  • I’ve seen a few comments about these brownies being gooey. After making them, I see what people are talking about, but I really loved them even if they aren’t a stereotypical brownie texture. I think of them more of a very firm chocolate custard. I made them exactly as written, but on my second batch I will be increasing their baking time. Thanks Brittany for a FABULOUS recipe. These are my go-to for helping me avoid the children’s Easter candy. Willpower is a limited resource!

  • I HAD My first sweet potato today 0_0 OMG its so good! And im vitamin A deficient so it will help me for that a lot! And its very cool!

  • This is the best recipe I’ve ever used (and I’ve used like hundreds of recipes!!):
Step 1: Peel the sweet potatoes.
Step 2: Bake the sweet potatoes.
Step 3: Slice the sweet potatoes into thin slices.
Step 4: Throw all the sweet potatoes in the bin.
Step 5: Get on with your day.

  • im having sweet potatoes and chicken atm and watching your videos! its the first time im watching your vids and im

much love all the way from srilanka

  • I have a question, do you guys take the containers to work with you along with a knife? Ive been wondering how to eat a whole chicken thigh or breast without cutting it up beforehand at work lol.

  • I’ll have to skip the applesauce since I’m allergic to apples. But I think I’m going to have to make these next grocery trip. I’ve been craving brownies so much lately.

  • I finally made these today, doubled the recipe (because why wouldn’t you), had to bake in a ceramic pie pan because I don’t have silicone, and ended up having to bake for close to 90 minutes. It still came out like pudding (with a nice crusty top), BUT…it is unbelievably delicious, and even better after a couple hours in the refrigerator! Brittany continues to amaze me with her easy-to-follow recipes that satisfy a serious sweet tooth yet are totally good for you. What a treasure!!

  • HI! sooo is sweet potato a replacement for rice/ quinoa since its a carb? would it be considered bad if we eat rice/ quinoa AND sweet potato? or is that too much starch and carbs? help!

  • I’m a poor student but I refuse to accept ready meals into my life. so I make my own, I make big batches of things then freeze half of it for when I can’t be bothered (or am hungover). I always pair these meals with sweet potato. My friends come to me twice a week to get some veg in them after a week of kebabs. It is a life saver as a baked potato or mash are my favs. The only time I buy normal spuds now is for roasties. Sweet potato is a game changer, I never saw the point in them till I tried them. Be bold, try it.

  • Did not turn out well. The result is a gooey brown potato mess with the chocolate overwhelmed by the massive quantity of potatoes. Maybe I used too many potatoes is it 2 cups loosely or tightly packed? (I have seen other sweet potato brownie recipes that called for only 2 large sweet potatoes.) Including weights, especially with baked items, might improve this recipe.

  • Sweet Potato used to make a Pom Puree with creme fraiche, butter, cheder cheese and Parmesan. I serve it with fish dishes as well as beef and chicken dishes.

  • this didn’t have much variety as I hoped. these are all basically different variations of burgers or fries. I know there are many other creative things to do with sweet potatoes. I am disappointed Tasty didn’t think much out of the box on this one.

  • Wash with water but do not peel it, most of the vitamins and fiber are on the peel. I make them oven-roasted thinly sliced with smoked paprika, garlic powder, olive oil,and salt, off the hook!

  • I just steam or microwave one and do the same to some broccoli, a bit of sour cream (or greek yogourt) nutritional yeast, and sirracha! A perfect lunch!

  • The wedges looked good but, the idea of serving them with ketchup makes me want to vomit! Try sour cream, instead…or anything but ketchup! You’re Welcome!

  • When I bake sweet potatoes in the oven for 30 minutes, they end up all dried out. Any ideas/tips as to why and how to prevent this?

  • Sweet potato cut into long strips with plenty of olive oil in the oven at a low heat for about 20 minutes get them out flip them over coat in oil once again poke some holes in them the let the oil sink in an sprinkle some salt on an if your feeling exotic put some paprika on them then bake for another 20 minutes

  • I am going to try this soon as I can go to the store and buy some sweet potatoes. A side note here, the audio sounds like you are in a tunnel and has some feedback. Is there anyway you can work on/adjust it?

  • I did everything according to the recipe but mine were terrible. They have no sweetness to them at all. My husband hated them. I am so sad. I was so hoping this would be my brownie fix. I’ll have to try to tweak it.

  • I love watching your videos so much recipes. So i work grave shift and i wanted to see if you guys can do a meal prep like healthy and gluten free i have been having low iron ever since i worked grave and i have been eating like junk food and not a good meal and i have been so tired no energy whatsoever. Please and thank you.

  • funny. just before I watched this I saw a demo on making sweet potato Flatbread. I want to try it. just a cup of flour and a cup of sweet potato. and btw your hair may be wild but it’s Jaime. I wouldn’t recognize you any other way.
