Lower-calorie ice creams and frozen yogurts have been around for years, but the newer crop of treats boasts a more drastic reduction in calories, fat, and sugars. In fact, some “healthier” ice. Eating ice cream in moderation, if you enjoy and desire it, indicates a healthy relationship with food and gives you a lot more brain space to focus on other important things in your life. However, it’s high in sugar, calories, and possibly additives and artificial ingredients. Thus, you should read labels carefully if you want a more. Although ice cream can be healthy, you shouldn’t indulge too much. Going overboard can lead to side effects like obesity, high blood sugar, and brain fogginess. So feel free to eat your ice crea.

All that milk, cream and sugar makes ice cream a delicious treat, but it’s so good that you can easily end up eating more than just one serving. While typical ingredients in ice-cream consist of milk, sugar, milk fat and flavourings, the ‘healthy’ versions cut down fat content by adding skimmed milk, erythritol (sweeteners) instead of sugar, milk protein concentrate instead of cream, and glycerin. Ice cream contains calcium, potassium, and magnesium, which help maintain healthy blood pressure levels.

As we all know, calcium is also essential to strong teeth and bones. A half-cup serving of ice cream also boasts 5 g to 9 g of protein, which can.   • Also, ice cream has been replaced with frozen milk foam, and if we boycott, maybe real ice cream will come back. Tillamook, Umpqua, Blue Bunny, Haagen Daaz, etc… have all made their ice cream super foamy… The only ice creams that appear to have stayed the same is Ben and Jerrie’s, Sorbets(not ice cream), and Gelato(Not really ice cream)… and of course, ice cream from shops like cold stone, and mom and pop home-made style shops… Sad times for ice cream.

  • I disagree with this logic. I don’t think Halo Top is a diet Ice Cream but more so a lesser evil in terms of calories. I don’t see the harm in showing the customer the calorie count. It’s better for someone with no self control to eat a 300 calorie pint of Halo Top ice cream than a 1200 calorie Ben and Jerry’s pint of ice cream. I don’t get your point, unless someone is disgusted by Halo Top and is only forcing themselves to like it due to the calorie then I don’t see the problem.

  • I not a big fan of banana (I like it, but not very much), though I use it in smoothies without any problem. Still, I wonder if avocado could make its way into an ice cream. It’s less fragrant than bananas. Of course it needs more sugar. I like that I can do a full avocado including its pit, and my Oster pro 1200, pulverize it in a smooth puree. I have to try…

  • Calorie count for an entire packsge is a great idea. Huge number on the front of every bag of chips..candy bar.. and ice cream. Bet if Ben & Jerry’s had 1200 on the front people would steer clear but unfortunately they won’t even tell us the % of sugar we should eat in a day because sugar is what is making us fat and companies don’t want the consumers to know a can of coke has more sugar than we should be consuming per day and they put sugar into everything.

  • The thing is: I like “nicecream” bc I am lactose intolerant and the lactose free version of brands often tastes eh…but I hate that it is called “nicecream”.   • I prefer to buy individual ice cream cones. I binge if I just have a tub of it. I don’t want to restrict ice cream, but I end up feeling sick if I have a tub. I have battled anorexia, and ice cream was always on my banned food list. I know that if I have the individual cones, when I want one I’ll just have one rather than feeling out of control and eating the entire tub.

    My favourite ice cream is actually a vegan one. It’s a Tesco own brand coconut milk based choc ice. It’s delicious.

  • Did you think this through before you made this video???? I have two sons….one of them has to watch everything that hits his teeth to stay thin, then my other son..he can eat anything and never gain an ounce. It’s a tough dynamic for them because I would say my son who has to watch his intake is actually more active than my son who can eat anything. What I’m saying is that genetics and weight gain and loss are not always fair, we all like to eat ice cream and lots of it and if there’s an ice cream when I can do that and offer that to my child I think that’s great.

  • Ben and Jerry’s Non-Dairy 7 Layer Coconut Bar is my favorite! That stuff is amazing (I’m Vegan, not trying to eat “healthier’ ice cream or anything. I’m pretty sure this ice cream has similar nutrition amounts as normal ice cream. It doesn’t have any cholesterol though, as that only comes from animal sources).

  • I’ve tried this product twice both times I had a dish, and then eventually threw out the whole container. It tastes salty to me and the texture is odd. I would rather go to a local stand and have a cone with really good real ice cream and enjoy it on occasion. (fav flavor is a tie between Frozen Pudding add Coffee Kaluha Brownie both by Richardsons Dairy in New England area )
