  • This is glorious, I’ve been looking for “does spaghetti make you gain weight?” for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of Dansaac Unflappable Dominance (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now )? It is an awesome exclusive product for discovering how to find the best food to balance your hormones and blast away your fat spots without the headache. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my m8 got amazing results with it.

  • There are 23 carbs in ONE slice of this bread! I’m sure she uses 2 pieces for a sandwich, which come to 46 carbs!!!  She could have a 6 course dinner for a lousy sandwich. She doesn’t believe in counting carbs! That’s why she’s 600 lbs!!!

  • I rarely eat Bread but if I do it’s made here on the farm. Last week we harvested Field corn and had homemade Cornbread that night I admit I had a slice and it was great. But it might be another month or more before I eat somemore. Same with Regular bread Maybe once a month and with Butter and my Honey it’s beyond awesome.’

  • inwas a white bread…till i started dieting…i force myself to ww…im not dieting but white cant satisfy me now…i like the coarsness of wheat the feeling of hardness and it scratch my throat

  • Gosh I miss my homemade sourdough bread…sourdough starter, flour (organic), salt (Himalayan), and water (filtered). Four ingredients. Never bought commercial bread. Hmmmmmm. I dehydrated the starter. Maybe I can have a cheat day down the road. Cloud bread sucks! Nut flours are for dessert breads.

  • My dude. You really don’t need added corn syrup, let alone any sugar to cook whole wheat bread, it’s all a scam. Use salt and slightly warm water. That’s all.

  • The bread i eat i make myself out of ancient grains organically grown. No Refining.
Look at the study Ralph Nader did. Mice fed whole wheat.bread were healthy. Mice fed.enriched white bread starved to death faster than the third group that only had water.
THERE IS NO COMPARISON IN NUTRITIONAL VALUE BETWEEN WHOLE WHEAT AND W HITE FLOUR. You could almost live on whole wheat bread alone but with white bread alone you starve faster than eating nothing There are better choises than wheat. But a little wheat is harmless unless you are gluten intolerant. And many studies suggest gluten intolerance starts with milk intolerance

  • If it isn’t 100% whole wheat, bread can contain enriched flour, which gives you a sugar spike and crash without any nutritional value. Basically, enriched flour means nutrients are stripped from the bread. Swap it for: Fiber-rich breads that are 100% whole wheat. I don’t eat whole wheat it is not healthy for weight.

  • I am pretty diabetic and was told I should cut out all bread if I want to keep my blood sugar down. But I really miss eating bread.

  • Most whole wheat breads at supermarket shelves are fake, manufactured food… no different from WonderBread with a little addition of fiber and molasses.

  • You can make your own bread and you don’t worry about the additives etc. Grains have built and kept civilizations thriving for literally thousands of years. That’s a fact.

  • on low carb high fat (keto) diet i lost 48lbs=22kg in 4 months and during this diet never felt hungry never have sugar cravings and i feel very very healthy mentally and physically
    keto is the best

  • The only way to get 100% whole wheat is to pay $5 a loaf or make your own. I had to start baking my own because that $5 loaf was too expensive for me and I’ve cut out high fructose corn syrup, which is in most breads, because I’m a diabetic. I only eat bread about twice a week so I freeze my homemade bread and take out 2 slices when I want it. Of course you have to slice before you freeze. If you use dry yeast and tap hot water your yeast doesn’t need sugar.

  • It may or may not make you fat. But it sure as hell is hard to lose weight if you eat it. I can eat organic red potatoes and beans and lose weight however, so it’s not carbs that’s the problem. Might have something to do with gluten. Wait, she’s saying that fats make you fat? I guess all those people on Keto are lying then. You know nothing.

  • Bread contains human hair “L-cysteine” which derived from human hair from the floors of barbershops of India and China, bird feathers, and animal hooves. Do a basic search on this.

  • Bread, rice, pasta etc are carbohydrates, that’s similar to compressed sugar that break down in gut into sugars. Brown or white, its still carbohydrates. Enjoy them but not to be addicted to. Low-carb/sugar diets have been shown to also help reverse diabetes! Amazing right

  • People have been eating bread for thousands of years and soldiers were extremely physically fit in ancient times far beyond what most people are today. At least seventy percent of their diet consisted of grains.

  • dear Dr. i want to know if nothing mentioned of gluten free n also nothing mentioned in its ingredients so can we consider its a gluten free bread

  • Loved this video. Very well made and full of wonderful, nutritious information..
Learned a lot about the different kinds of bread. Very beneficial knowledge.
Many things, I did not know. Very grateful for this excellent document on bread, of which I am a faithful
    lover.

  • Dr Oz: “My vote is to get the whole grains”…
I know he isn’t a real Dr, but c’mon!…there are no whole grains in bread, black, brown, white or other. Bread is made of flour, and a bunch of questionable ingredients.

  • Cheers for this, I been tryin to find out about “which olive oil is best for pasta?” for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried Dansaac Unflappable Dominance (search on google )? It is a great exclusive product for discovering how to find the best food to balance your hormones and blast away your fat spots minus the normal expense. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my buddy got amazing results with it.

  • Disappointing that you didn’t mention ancient grains, and organically grown grains. There are so many other options as well like buckwheat, rice, amaranth, quinoa, spelt, to mention a few.

  • You’re misinformed, humans are very efficient in lipogenesis, we just don’t rely on it for physical protection or heat insulation like for example pigs and penguins. respectively. We are constantly under lipogenesis, fat storing is an automatic process in humans, we have so many fat reserves that even the thinnest person can potentially survive for a few months without eating. Eating sporadically massive amounts of carbohydrates won’t make you fat but consuming more calories than your body requires in the form of carbohydrates will make your body gradually store that source of energy into fat. Eating a lot of bread will make you gain weight if you eat more than you need. I’m not a nutritionist but I’ve learned the metabolic processes of humans.

  • Why is nobody trying to escalate to authorities current food industry that is actually poisoning people with modified grains that are causing most of diseases…. would be great if somehow this can be done… Monsanto made bilions…

  • Three weeks no bread and feel amazing. Loosing weight too. Energy level up and arthritis joint pain going away. Will look for the bread alternatives. Thanks thumbs up and subed.:-)
Oh and no simple sugar! Eating meat and greens! Heavy on the vegetables, leafy greens, nuts and some fruits.

  • Gluten and yeast are both poisonous to the human body. If you want to eat bread make sure it has neither. Everything else is marketing by their respective industry lobbyist organizations.

  • Cloud bread, I would just give bread up if that was all I could eat, lettuce raps are good, Farro, Quinoa, oats. sometimes eggs, milk and sugar. I add to my flour. I am not giving up bread, the flour I pay attention to also, white, whole wheat and rye flour. I also use but watch out for flour with bromate in it. the USA is one of the only countries still allowed to use it. you won’t find it in store bread but in the larger bags and bakeries. I make my own bread and do not generally add sugar. Flour, water yeast and salt and other grains. I do occasionally add Olive oil to my bread, usually the darker wheat. I also have a sour dough starter over 20 years old made from raisons that I keep replenished. Don’t forget Corn and rice tortillas. just corn and water. Making bread is fun and healthy and relaxing.

  • Healthy bread is an oxymoron, there is no such thing. If you want to get healthy, avoid all products made from grain. They are all refined carbs that spike your blood sugar and insulin.

  • Bread ingredients from the 60’s are not the same as the ingredients currently used. And the problem is not only the bread…meats, fake cheese, cereals, fake beer, flavored alcohol, fake peanut butter, jelly and terrible mayonnaise. Krappy chocolate and Coke. The junk food industry has gone really downhill since the 1980’s. Junk food really sucks…we are doomed

  • Just bought and tried Killer Dave Sprouted bread! Its really good! Also bought Ezekiel and Simple Truth Sprouted breads. Trying to get off unhealthy white bread.

  • Thank you for this video, this bread myth has been bugging me for ages. I couldn’t understand how eating multigrain bread could make me gain weight.

  • Julian, please remove the raisins from your sponges. Its pretty annoying to clean the house and have to pick up goddamn raisins from the floor. What moron thought of that in the first place?!

  • Bread is so 90’s. Gross. I eat REAL food now. Healthy fats are my new carb replacement and I’m not a slave to hunger because the fats fuel me for hours. #keto #IntermittentFasting #DrBerg #DrBarry #JasonFung

  • An waith like n hour or so..take a glass of distilled water with 1 lemon a teaspoon of acv n a spoon of turmeric 20 drops of hydroxen peroxide an 3 drops of oregano oil. this will kik the rest of any sugar..enjoy u meals..

  • Hey such a fabulously informative video, thanks…keep nailing………….. BTW, can u tell me which song is that? I mean that lalalalalalla song

  • Pure evolutionary thinking here.

Before we could store food throughout winter, the only thing constant people had to eat was MEAT.
Vegetables and fruit are seasonal foods that will NOT last through winter outside of a freezer/refrigerator and we didn’t have those.
Bread has been eaten so much for thousands of years, because the ingredients were relatively easily stored for use all year long.

Eating bread these days is mostly something we do because we’re used to it.
It seems to me that our bodies evolved for the most part to work on meat, since that is the only thing that has been available to humans/human ancestors from the very beginning of the species.

  • The molasses is good for your bones, protein, manganese, calcium potassium vitamin B6, and copper. I don’t feel like getting up right now, but if the oil is olive oil then it is a bonus. I am not putting down Ezekiel bread because I do eat it some times, but because it is frozen and refrigerated it has a tendency to spoil.

  • This is the dumbest video. Yes, carbs make you fat because everything served in a bed of rice or loaf of bread. Caloric intake, period. Most people get enough energy from the filling in their sandwich for the fat ass daily sedentary lives. The casing of bread on their sandwich is just a bunch of extra crap and empty calories. Hence, why every fat person you see eating out at lunch has a sandwich, burrito, or “healthy” bowl on 150g of carbs rice.

  • Hi Dr. I making my own bread with organic flour and grain flour, I don’t by commercial bread fur years. This is a good potion. Thanks for you information

  • Dave’s killer bread is a great bread company, they have so many varieties with unprocessed and natural ingredients. Their bread makes my lunch and breakfast very filling.

  • You all should try bread with different kinds of seeds (sunflower etc.). What makes it different from white bread is the amount is fibres which is good for digestion. Come to Europe and try our whole wheat bread. We do not use (as much) sugar in our bread. Fresh whole wheat buns with a piece of (Gouda) cheese and cucumber is honestly the best thing. I couldn’t live without my bread.

  • What do you think? Was this video the best thing since sliced bread? If you enjoyed this video, please give it a like and share it with your friends!

  • I remember having a neighbor who came from Europe back in the seventies. She would bring home a suitcase of flours, dried meats and cheeses whenever she went back there to visit because she said that the food here was different. Her bread was always heavy in texture and very tasty. My family didn’t like it because it wasn’t light like Wonder Bread….but I loved it. It really tasted different from even homemade bread here in the states.

  • Sorry to say, but you don’t have any clue about whole wheat bread. To bake bread you don’t need any sugar, honey or corn syrup, what shown,,Baking bread the old fashion way includes, Wheat, salt and water….More important is to have certified organic flour….definitely whole wheat bread is healthier if produced the right way, and has no sugar…you can add other healthy ingredients, like walnuts, hazelnuts or chia seeds

  • Brown Bread is more healthy, White bread is ok, You Should have the 50 50 bread so it’s healther and your not having to much of either

  • Hi! I have a question! Is eating a lot of protein make you loose weight or no? Because I read that you should eat 40grams of plant protein to loose weight? Is that true thanks!! I’m also a vegetarian by the way!

  • I eat bread at least three times a week. I think i have to change my breakfast pattern now and will choose sweet potatoes as an alternative instead

  • Wow this scumbag sux dr.bergs balls every chance he gets. Dr berg is like drakes ghostwriter and dr oz is drake. Give him his credit he said it first dawg.

  • I make my own bread using whole wheat flour, whole wheat flakes, steel cut oats, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, chia seeds and flax seeds.

  • When I first came to America I was really surprised that the bread stayed soft for so long after we buy it. Also, it was sort of fluffy. Our routine in Ireland is to go to the store early each morning to get the ‘Smokin Fresh”, still warm bread of your choice. This will be on the table for the family when they wake. Yesterday’s bread may be used to dunk in soup or feed the birds, whatever. It’s also much softer while remaining solid, compared to bread I bought in America which was still soft 1 week later, really it was. What is done differently to bring about such a huge difference? Thank you

  • american “bread” is just rebranded cake,
try some real rye bread or a whole grain mix
same with the cheese lol its not real cheese
of cause there good products there but the big brand shit is just that… shit

  • Industrial wheat became the standard around 1970. Ever since then bread has been worse, intolerable for some. Also they quit adding iodine and changed to bromine which also makes it worse.

  • Thank you. I eat sourdough bread. I needed to hear this advice. Many say sourdough is white bread, so it’s bad. Now I will just tell them to watch this and stop nagging

  • You are funny:), this bread is crazy, i allready saw someone else with same bread on Youtube, you are not the first one, and that was almost 1 years ago, so i guess, bread maker don’t care…

  • It’s been a year. So now I switch to a sliver of bread. My food consumption is 70% green veggies
(don’t you just hate that expression veggies) 25% protein and 10% carbs.
On Sunday I’m looser. What ever!

  • that’s awesome. said some things that rang true for me. years ago, I was exercising plenty, but I love to eat! I was not good at portion control. personally, I had to start intermittent fasting. I’ve lost ten lbs in the first few weeks, but have hit a plateau. What I am doing now is going more paleo, modified paleo. I also need to have more discipline in staying the course on exercising, which I love to do, but work often gets in the way. I came across a fitness /diet routine that is one of the most popular in the country, at the moment https://tinyurl.com/y6qwvn5u

, looks pretty good. Really it’s not rocket science, although we in the west make it hard. Eat whole foods in moderation, get enough rest, reduce stress, and exercise, not insanely, but regularly. Aerobics and some form of weight-bearing exercise seem to be the best combination.

  • Both whole wheat and refined wheat are mostly glucose after digestion. If high insulin levels is an issue you need to avoid ALL GRAINS!!

  • All in All: BREAD IS BAD FOR YOU. ‍♂️ Almond Flour Bread or Coconut Flour Bread. SELF MADE. In other words, bake your own Bread.

  • Once you get used to it, sourdough is very easy to prepare. I make a loaf a week for myself. Some sourdough recipes ask for added sugar, which destroys the whole concept. The yeast ferments the simple starches that become sugar too easily in the stomach. Not only that, I save money.

  • I AM 66 BEEN eating bread all my life weigh the same as in my 20s never had a problem so I am not going to stop now I work out try to keep a good balance in what I eat. and to be honest I am getting fed up with so called experts telling us what we can’t eat.

  • Personally my fave bread is the brand Canadian Bagel, while the bagels are made with refined flour their 7 grain bread with sunflower seeds is so good!

  • If you adhere to the recommended limits of carbs and sodium, by default most folks would be reducing their bread intake. I was surprised to learn a year ago, Dr. Zyrowski is correct, whole wheat bread nutritional value is essentially is same as bleached white bread. Bran flakes or shredded wheat with unsweetened almond milk have helped me limit my bread to one meal per day. Cereal is ok after 9am.

  • If you are serious about losing weight Stop Eating Bread and Pasta! Oh but I like it. Then don’t complain about being fat. Count Carbs not Calories.

  • Very interesting and informative, but at the same time you should have mentioned how many CARBS eact slice of each particular type of bread contains
..presenting your information is misleading and will not be helpful to people who are pre-diabetic, diabetic or have insulin resistance…

  • Another SUPERB video Dr Z!!! I never KNEW that my allergies where triggered by my love for wheat bread! Nor did I know that there are “ HEALTHY ALTERNATIVES”. You’re the BEST!!!!

  • Love this video and totally agree, but I suggest, as someone who recovered from anorexia, not to say “The fat you eat is the fat you wear” because someone with an ed mindset may take that as if they can’t and shouldn’t eat ANY fat in ther diet. Maybe try saying if you eat TOO much fat you can gain weight. But once again, good video! I love me some bread lol

  • No to worry friends
Eat as u please in small quantities
    An after that or before
    Then take 1gr of
    vitamin c
    1g of l-lysine
    Omega3
    450mg of manesium
    And 250mg of calcium.
With a glass of prum juice
.any grease sugar or gluten woul be flushed n less than 20 minutes

  • I bought a bag of English muffins from store. Left it on the top of fridge and forgot about it. 2 months later my brother came visit and found the English muffin. The muffin still has the same texture as it was fresh, no mold no wired smell.

  • No bread is good for you.. You can make healthy bread but you can not buy it. All flour from grains is bad and been refined too much and sprayed with all kinds of poison that is bad for humans.

  • This is the same for organic produce. I bet 90% percent of it is not and the rest neither. I bought some “Grass Fed” eggs from a company. Initially the yolks were very yellow indication they did in fact came from grass fed chickens. I year later these egg yolks are a pale as the 99c store eggs. But paying 10X the price.

  • I still eat bread, I only eat Dave’s killer bread! but only once a week. Because it does have a lot of sugar and carbs…which I’m trying to avoid ☺️

  • Thank you YouTube algorithm for telling me about the shitty bread some random dude bought 7 years ago. I never would have thought I’d find this entertaining.

  • When you make it. You can’t used table salt, bleached flour,or sugar. All of these use or have chemicals in the process. And that includes any flavorings added.

  • Fat only gets stored as fat if your body is burning carbs. If you cut the carbs out then your body will burn the fat it has and the fat you eat.

Also sugar is carbs and there’s no way sugar doesnt make you fat…

  • The reason for the change was that Julian Bakery was sued for false advertising, and was under investigation by the FDA for making false claims about carb levels (and other things). So instead of making the nutrition label match the product, they changed the product to match the nutrition label…. with the resulting mess.

  • this is crazy how many people in the world making vids teaching that wheat bread is a killer for humans and causing all kinds of health problems. there are many countries especially the Islamic world with fewer health issues living only on wheat bread. my father is alive he has been eating bread for the last 1002 years now never had any problems. our entire countries here the middle east only eat bread but nothing else. I don’t believe what you just told us here! please go outside the box and see the world how they survive on bread and they don’t even know the disease that you named here.

  • I can’t bring food that I have to warm up to school because the teachers don’t let us use their microwave so I started making my vegan avocado hummus “egg” tomato sandwich on whole grain bread so good.

I’m trying to lose weight so normally I eat 1,200-1,500 calories per day. So I think it’s okay for me to eat bread…

  • I don’t believe a word Dr Oz says. Whatever fills his pockets with money is his answer.
He is a corrupt man. Owned by Oprah who is obviously corrupt

  • In Dr Lamcoaching.com etc. in bloodtype diet construction… FOR PERSONS WITH BLOODTYPE O……. it is advised to leave WHEATBASED flours and common other sources of carbs….. and rice isurely advosed… and 5 types of bread is VERY informative….. I AM ONLY MISSING DISCUSSION OR RYE BREAD 60% OR 100%.
please inform us on these 2 breadtypes…
    Thanks

  • someone who spends 90USD on a bread supply cannot complain about the quality. Good, or real bread is not supposed to last more than a week. Thanks for reading European bread lover

  • I make my own bread white or wheat
It takes 4to 6 ingredients when I check the ingredients on the bags
OMG its surprising to see the amount of ingredients in one loaf of bread

  • If I make my own bread using stone ground whole wheat flour, is it going to be healthier? or is it going to be as same as the bread from supermarkets???

  • OMG he went full on glove free in the toilet then plopped it on the counter, I died at that point, hahahahaha! so did they change the recipe back or is it still a sponge?

  • Thanks for not feeding it to the pigs They can stomach a lot but I’m sure this is not fit for consumption at all. I already lost it when he wrung it and it just unfolded back into its original shape |D

  • Trying to research how to remove the sponge like texture when baking low carb bread and ended up laughing watching this video, such creative ways to make that bread useful lol…

  • Hilarious! If you’re interested in a bread that is low-carb, not a sponge, and tastes great check out:
    https://www.azurestandard.com/shop/search/planet%20princess

  • MY sour bread is REALLY healthy. Packed with nutrients, protein, fiber, vitamins and minerals…. If interested ill share my easy recipe with you!

  • 2:58 That is fucking disgusting. And afterwards putting the thing on the basin counter?
Haven’t you people in the U.S. ever heard of toilet brushes?

  • What about so much sugar, chemicals and preservatives. Why we need to eat those?? Once you process any food, it’s dead even the sprouts are dead now. It will only give fiber but not the benefits of eating a living plant

  • Thanx for the introduction. I always say that: if wheat “bread” is bad in this century why it wasn’t for thousands of years, civilizations survived on it.
This what anyone must explain about the difference between nowadays bread and the past bread. same story with milk. they keep saying they are bad for heath in fact food industry and governments made it bad for health. our ancestry lived on both for thousands of years. don’t blame food blame industry, GMO which pushed by us government. for depo pulation purposes.

  • well ive got type 2 diabetes and its diet controlled,i just cant keep off bread ive tried but i have not touched white bread in years.but i do eat wholemeal bread at a reduced rate and ive managed to go from 220 pound to 170 due to my more healthy choice.

  • Once its bought in the stores, its unhealthy. I do not care what type of bread it is; yeast and preservative render them UNHEALTHY!!
