Here are my Top 10 picks for healthy snacks and meals to fuel physical activity: Whole-grain cereal, berries, and skim or low-fat milk.

Oatmeal made with skim milk, sprinkled with crushed flaxseed. 1/2 whole-grain bagel with peanut butter and banana slices. Smoothie made with low-fat yogurt, fresh. Cottage cheese contains high levels of casein protein, which is the best post-workout snack for a late night pump before bed because it is slow digesting. A study in the Journal of Nutrition also found dairy proteins like those in cottage cheese to have a superior effect on protein synthesis of soy proteins after workouts.

26. Reach for these satisfying suggestions from Cohen to fuel your body and prepare it for your next workout: Greek yogurt with natural granola and fresh strawberries Whole-grain cereal with skim. The carbohydrates found in sweets provide fuel for workouts.

Honey contains fructose and glucose, which get absorbed into your system quickl. Eggs are packed with the high quality protein your muscles crave and the bread offers a good source of carbohydrates to fuel your workout. Greek yogurt or cottage cheese with berries Both cottage cheese and Greek yogurt will supply you with protein to prevent. Pumpkin seeds are good sources of alpha-linolenic acid, a plant form of omega-3 fatty acids that can help fight inflammation, a factor in muscle soreness.

While not as potent as fish-based omega-3s in producing these benefits, they’re also (like exercise) good for your heart. More Fitness Tips & Foods for Weight Loss. Eating healthy carbohydrates such as whole-grain cereals (with low-fat or skim milk), whole-wheat toast, low-fat or fat-free yogurt, whole grain pasta, brown rice, fruits and vegetables.

Examples of complete proteins – foods containing all of the essential amino acids or EAA’s – include milk, eggs, yoghurt (high protein like SKYR or quark), chicken, beef, fish, tofu, quinoa. Building muscle follows the same principles as muscle repair and.

  • i luv working out and i luv eating good clean food. i just can’t keep myself stuffed 24/7. it’s miserable and i’m too “active” minded to be lethargic all the time. that’s why i admire those that can. long live the King!

  • I like to train on an empty stomach or have a banana. When i was younger I could eat an entire lasagna and go train but if I tried that now I would not enjoy my workout

  • There is no point that u make your body with steroids and after that eat lot of foods and after age 45 you need medication for negative effects cause by steroids
Walk and running and also gym needs only pure food not these kind of negative stuff
What u want to show in this video and also tell what happens to Ronnie after using steroids

  • Apples are the best. For some reason I stay fuller and more energised than after a banana before the gym (walking out the door like Geo said about Bart). They just seem to work. I also have some citrus fruit like a couple clementines maybe 15 minutes before or intra-workout if I’m really dying. And of course coffee comes before all of that.

  • yes…a so called true bodybuilder…look at him now…fuckt up….a TRUE bodybuilder is Arnold…at his age and his heart problems u can stil see the muscles on him

  • Usually i’ll have a meal and green tea w/ lemon and honey or a coffee if i really feel like i need it.

The day of a meet i’ll have a ‘banana bread’ loaf thing
    7 bananas (roughly 700g)
    100g Peanut butter
7 whole medium eggs (roughly 350g)
    150g coconut almond milk
    250g honey
    350g oats
    50g cocoa powder
    100g protein powder
5-10g salt (assuming i’ve water cut)
I’ll pace myself throughout and avoid eating in between attempts but fill up in between lifts

Two bottles of Lucozade sport and at least 2L water.
Probably a bag of Starbursts or something sour just in case i need to spit any weight off.

  • I eat every 2 to 3 hours, 5 meals a day, 500 to 600 calories per meal depending on what my goal is. I usually don’t eat in the gym, maybe sometimes an apple if, let’s say, I need more energy to hit my shoulders after chest but other than that, I’m okay with a pre workout meal, 45 min. before the workout

  • I heard that if you train at the gym where Ronnie also trains and he trains legs, then you better stay home because there isn’t a single piece if weight left.

  • Omg, I’m just like Lu; gotta eat before a workout, especially before squatting. Once I almost fell unconscious during a squat session because I didn’t breakfast

  • SilentMike needs to move to LA or they have to video conference call this show, but one way or another he needs to be a regular on these. And throw him on jknews from time to time. Funny and insightful guy.

  • Bananas and fruit in general are the fucking shit!
    Dates are sick as well!
I eat 3-4 bananas a day and have been doing so for about 3 years.
I have no idea why people talk so much shit about fruit fucking bores me but then again most people look like shit and need to die!

  • Any person not on the sauce eating like this would be putting on tons of fat not muscle. Too many people look at ronnie and jay and phil and forget to realize they are all sauced up to the maxxx. Tons of dedication in the gym thats for sure, but this 5000+ calories a day they consume gets used up and burned because of all the sauce theyre on. Any normal person with normal levels of test would become obese very fast.

  • I can’t train with much on my stomach. It tears me up. Usually a Clif bar about 2 hours before and 32oz Powerade during. I workout at home so I eat right away after and I’m good.

  • It’s good to keep fit, but this??? This is not the purpose of life, there are millions of poor people out there and you eat like 10 kilos a day just to get big and loose all of it one day? Wats the point, who cares about leaving a legacy, only the good of human remains. Mr Olympia is stupid.

  • I drink Coffee mixed with 2 tbs of grass fed butter. Then hit the Gym at 9:30. I usually don’t eat until noon. I eat a keto/paleo Diet.

  • Easily oatmeal, honey buns or donuts. Sometimes a peanut butter and jelly with cinnamon toast crunch and a glass of milk (<-courtesy of Dan Green)

  • heres a classic, 1 whole egg, 2 egg whites scrambled, two slices of whole grain toast with 2 tbsp of peanut butter. sometimes i throw in a banana or something like that as my lunch. (at home)

Heres another, a tortilla with grilled chicken, a scrambled egg. I sometimes would have a greek yogurt or something of that sort on the side.

    few hours after lunch:
About 10ish minutes before my work out i’ll have black coffee. Ultimate pre work out imo.
