Your healing crisis period can last from a day to a few days, depending on how your body responds and how severe the toxin buildup. Most people feel a healing crisis for about three days. Ask the Expert: The Candida Diet — Does It Really Prevent Yeast Infections?

By Toby Amidor, MS, RD, CDN Today’s Dietitian Vol. 17 No. 12 P. 10. Q: My clients have been asking about the Candida Diet, which is said to help prevent Candida, or yeast, infections.

Can you share some background on yeast infections, what the Candida Diet entails. If you feel that you have an unbalanced diet and eat too many acidic forming foods, like processed meat, conventional dairy, refined sugar, prescription medications and alcohol, and not enough alkaline foods, like fruits and vegetables, then take a look at this list and see if you can increase your alkaline intake. 1. • This is not “keto”. There is no way to stay in even a “mild” ketosis eating complex carbs and lentils. Sour brain will be running on glucose. I’m not saying that this diet or any diet where you don’t eat processed foods is a bad diet. But it sure ain’t keto.

  • Costco sells a power greens mix of kale, spinach and swiss chard. We
poke the bag of greens with small holes using an ice pick and press all
the air out of the bag. Then we put the deflated bag of greens in the
freezer under our 20-lb. bag of ice or something else heavy for 24
hours. When frozen, we pull the greens bag out of the freezer and gently
crush it to a powder, taking care not to break the bag. (That’s why you
want to make small holes). Then pour the frozen green powder into a
gallon zip lock freezer bag. You now have fresh power greens powder to
add to any meal or smoothie you desire. The greens never get slimy and
they disappear into what ever you’re making.

  • As specialist, I’m sure Custokebon Secrets is great way to lost a ton of weight. Why don’t you give it a chance? maybe it is going to work for you too.

  • This is glorious, I’ve been looking for “what could be the cause of aching bones?” for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across Peyandon Dumbstruck Primacy (search on google )? It is a great one off guide for discovering how to eradicate joint pain using natural ingredients minus the hard work. Ive heard some great things about it and my work buddy got great results with it.

  • Winner of a video, I have been researching “best things for arthritis” for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across Arlotteken Arthritis Ambitioned (should be on google have a look )? Ive heard some interesting things about it and my colleague got cool success with it.

  • loved this episode! both RDs were so kind and knowledgeable, I feel like I learned so much. As I personally struggle with digestive issues as a vegan, I cannot wait for them to share more information on SIBO and gut health:) Any hints where I can find the material?

  • I’m in high school and was going to take a nutrition class but decided against it because I know its gonna focus on animal products

  • Really nice video about all important stuff. Meat eaters don’t realize that animals and fish get all that essential vitamins and minerals from plants. Just eat plants like animals and let them live.

  • She said nothing wrong at all……… At least from my research. She was correct in every way. I watch a lot of doctors and they all seem to agree that a WHOLE FOODS PLANT BASED DIET is the optimal diet for human well being.

Edit: Ok the only thing I disagree with is the b12 from what I have research cyanocobalamin is pretty much acceptable.

  • Guys, losing weight doesn’t need to be difficult (I used to think it did). I’ll give you some advice right now. Look for a diet plan known as Custokebon Secrets. Seriously, that diet plan has transformed my life. I probably should not even be mentioning it because I don’t want a bunch of other guys out there running the same “game” but whatever, I am just in a great mood today so I’ll share the wealth haha.

  • Candida overgrowth destroyed 4 months of my life. I didn’t know the cause for a long time. But it resulted in depression, skin issues, dandruff, anxiety, paranoia. It was a dark time that almost destroyed my marriage. Getting on a very clean keto diet fixed it. Except I still drink alcohol (gin)

  • The best anti fungal is Black Cumin/Negella sativa oil, Forget about comercial anti-fungal medicaments, they will destroy your liver in a few weeks

  • Interesting video. Still a bit on the fence about how good it is that it is best to take food supplements, but it is Nice to hear different sources of essential things. I Also love how calm and nicely she explains things purely from a health perspective.

  • Thank you for this video! I went vegan right after I found out I had pcos and I have been struggling with digestive issues since. I am happy to finally have some answers

  • I wonder why so many people are still complaining of cancer, well most people haven’t be lucky enough to meet with a helper. I was very lucky to meet with Dr abumere he is a herbal healer I saw a testimony on how he has been helping people get cured from all forms of cancer I was having cancer for 2years I tried all i could to get rid of it but there where no result. We discussed and he gave me his herbal mixture. 1 week after taking the herbal mixture I began to see changes finally am cured from cancer. You too can be cured from any form of cancer, so contact him with his email  [email protected] Whatsapp +2349021975055. Your faith will only determine.

  • I definitely miss being a vegan, I used to have so much energy, you can definitely feel the difference when you go back to eating crappy foods

  • long term veganism isn’t possible for most constitution types. initially there will be a honeymoon phase where you will feel great but once depletion kicks in you will start to feel worse and worse.

  • Wait, I don’t get the calcium part. What exactly creates more chance to get osteoporosis? From taking in too many calcium? Or is there something in diary that gives it more chance

  • I don’t intend to be a vegan( not for now ), but while living with my parents I’m trying to low the amount of meat in the week. This was really helpful. Also I need to ask, how have to plan my own meals, can someone give me tips on how to organize my own them? It’s quite hard sometimes.

  • I do love and will add more veggies and whole foods to my diet but nobody can me keep away from vegan ice cream and the beyond burger and vegan cheese:D No freakin’ way!

  • Thus far, I have spent over 300k on my gut!!! All of the doctors just place me on antibiotics and pain pills. There is NO way I can work with a Dr.

  • Call Q 10 I think I’m saying that right I don’t know I’m blind and I have to talk to my phone, isn’t that from an animal product? Just curious

  • God, how I hate those cutaway scenes of people who put stuff in their mouths and then just smile instead of chewing or swallowing. You can clearly see there‘s a whole grape in that woman‘s mouth and it does not look comfortable xD

  • The fruit bowl on the right should be darker and reddish brown to counter the dark sweater. Otherwise excellent, lively video. Thanks!

  • Well done ladies, one thing I was offended by was the remark about not needing the “Almighty Physician” you can do this alone, altho that may be true, Alzheimer’s is a very serious disease, and giving people the impression that they can solve it themselves is a bit egotistical and naieve. Sorry don’t be hurt, other than that you are both awesome.

  • At 44 secs you say plants do not have all 8 essential amino acids and at 58secs you say plants have all 8in varying amounts. Are you confused?

  • Omit the dairy for better skin, sugar is not the main cause if it even is the cause….Also, fuel the muscles with carbohydrate pre and post workout… Check your research before advising…..

  • I’m struggling to go full vegan! I really like fish (I try to only buy sustainable fish and being in Switzerland, fish is super expensive so I eat perhaps once every two weeks) and I’ve tried and actuallly enjoyed insect protein based recipes! I’ll get there… eventually!:D

  • 10 thumbs up….I LOVED this discussion and your guests. So much information that makes so much sense, and they are so well spoken. I immediately subsribed to all their sites!! Thank you gals for bringing this great info to us

  • She mentioned “time restricted eating / fasting. Dog gone! I love this video! Time restricted fasting is GREAT for your health! GREAT VIDEO!!!!!!! watch Charlotte Gerson on YouTube.

  • Thanks Amy Lee My husband is diagnosed with Cognitive Decline. Pls. keep me informed on how he can be helped. It’s great to know that as a lay person, I can help my husband myself with some of the procedures mentioned in your video. what is the best way to reach you for personal questions?

  • She is 100% wrong, carbs are not healthy at all, in fact the only macro nutrient that is not essential. The only 2 essential nutrients are protein and fatty acids… People that follow poor eating advice like this are overweight and experiencing metabolic syndrome. If these high carb low protein diets were so healthy then why the incidence of diabetes nowadays is 11% and 1/2 adults in the USA experience metabolic syndrome.

  • Wow this was a really great episode. I don’t have questions, but loved learning! I can’t wait to grab their guide they were talking about putting out.:)

  • I’ve heard that Keto diets are good. BUT I DONT TRUST THEM AT ALL. the experts say that people should be on a ketogenic diet SHORT TERM and that long term Keto diets are dangerous. ME?… NO KETO FOR ME!! I don’t trust Keto because of the extreme lack of vitamins and minerals from the extreme lack of fruits and veggies. THIS IS A GREAT VIDEO….. Also watch Charlotte Gerson on YouTube.

  • This was great, thanks, I been tryin to find out about “cure arthritis naturally” for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across Arlotteken Arthritis Ambitioned (search on google )? Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my friend got excellent results with it.

  • Just want to say that the Impossible burger glyphosate story was not true and started by the anti-vax mom’s across America group.

  • ya’ll, going vegan 3 years ago was the best decision I have ever made. the community is so welcoming, my skin has cleared up and working out has been way easier since I feel so energized and motivated because of better and faster results.
Also by living this way you are putting hundreds of animals out of harm’s way and helping the planet by drastically reducing your impact on the environment!! If you listen to the guidelines in this video, you genuinely won’t regret it.

  • Doctors are the worst healthcare hacks to go to most are at most C average students that think they know everything and were never taught to think outside the box plus they don’t often follow their own advice and when they do they might realize that it would fail anyway because they were taught fairy tales in Medical Schools if it weren’t for Nurses Doctors would kill more people than they already do. The over writing of prescriptions for Antibiotics and Steroids is usually responsible for Gut problems which lead to many other problems including most if not many metabolic syndrome or worse. You’re towing the same line but I think you know better but you’d lose your license because the AMA is about profit / keeping people addicted to their pills/procedures rather than healing the actual patient.

  • Spinach and peppers cause inflammation, they are of no benefit. And skinless chicken breast, that has to be the worst cut possible. A person with inflammation needs the fatty meat they can get.

  • Do you have a similar video but regarding autism? I suspect the dietary advice is very similar. Also, is there a name for the “plant based mild ketosis” diet she recommends? Also, is this genetic testing advice the same for adults with autism? (I work as a caregiver for autistic adults, and i also follow the same diet she recommends for myself.)

  • And Eeww! is a quick wipe enough to wash salmonella off your hands!!?? This is so wrong on so many levels. The dish might be tasty if cooked longer (cooked gently for about 10mins each side) but from what I’ve learned so far, he’s using all foods from the belladonna food group which are all likely to increase an inflammatory response in your body.

  • We found a fantastic whole food vegetable meat replacement. Butler’s Soy Curls can taste and chew just like whatever meat you’re replacing. The product is the whole soy pod with beans on board. We are talking major fiber here. They’re partially dehydrated so you soak them in water, drain off the excess liquid, and brown them in a skillet over a medium heat while adding the flavor you desire. They’re amazing!

  • This was an extremely informative episode… one of the BEST explanations of SIBO I have encountered. You/they presented LOTS of great data in a fun and lively way. Kudos!

  • You guys should have added a trigger warning before that chicken scene. Some of us can’t handle violence or blood. Thanks for the panic attack.

  • Sorry guys, but take this video with caution. When they say that they can “reverse brain shrinkage to make it bigger again”, that’s a HUGE lie! I do scientific research on Alzheimer’s for more than 10 years and neither my colleagues (experts in brain imaging), nor I have seen any serious scientific study that showed the reversing of brain shrinkage to date. Yes, diet can help, but it needs to be adapted to each person and started before the real dementia starts. Plus, it must be combined with other life style changes. Diet alone won’t be efficient. Sad to see people trying to sell fake hopes to desperate patients!!!

  • Thanks for this very informational video, it really explains the scientific facts in a, dare I say ‘gentle’ way? I’ve been getting my blood tests back two days ago after living a plant based lifestyle for the past 3 months and my results have been better than ever. Funny enough I didn’t have enough iron before and now I’m doing great ✌️ also dropping some extra quarantine pounds without even trying

  • Are you serious!!!
Undercooked chicken+red peppers+tomatoes to reduce inflammation and arthritis?
    Is this just pure ignorance?
Or you actually want people with increased auto immune response and inflammation?

  • “And anyone who thinks they have one should be working closely with a health professional”
LOL ok lady but not everyone has money to spend finding a good private doc.

  • Not to be forgotten to mention that animals also get artificial vitamin B12their food is fortified with B12.
So you can choose to take that B12 through a „medium“ (meat) or directly through a pill/fortified plant milk!

  • This is just superb, been searching for “natural medications for arthritis” for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried Arlotteken Arthritis Ambitioned (just google it )? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my mate got amazing results with it.

  • Is it possible to follow this diet when the patient has end stage kidney failure and is restricted to 2000-3000 mg kalium? Thank you.

  • I’m glad more people are talking about gut health. 10 years ago I started having digestion issues when I was only 14. Doctors were quick to call it IBS and prescribe me laxatives. I have such a negative stigma attached to doctors, even GI doctors, because they just didn’t care. Maybe it’s different now, but it seemed like my issues were insignificant because they weren’t life-threatening. A lot of instafamous professionals say “get to the root cause” but in my experience doctors just want to put a bandaid on your problems. I’m still dealing with the same issues even though I’m vegan, but after watching this, I’m gonna eat a bunch of potatoes lol.

  • Really loved this video! I honestly can’t get enough of learning about gut health! It really is so fascinating! And I agree with Nisha that it also feels so liberating to learn about all of this and feel like we can finally take charge of our health with this knowledge! In the last few months I’ve felt so empowered that I finally found out the cause of my GERD I’ve been experiencing for a long time, and it is due to a small hiatal hernia. I do have a question for James and Dahlia regarding this…

What can I do to manage my reflux that I experience due to my haital hernia? I’ve been taking PPI’s for years now, and even though I know the cause of my reflux, I still feel at a loss! My doctor actually said my hernia is so small that he advised that I don’t do the surgery to fix it, but I can continue taking the PPI’s to manage my reflux. SO FRUSTRATING because I’d obviously like to get off of them! Anyways, I’ll be messaging James and Dahlia on IG about this too and hopefully I can get some answers! Thanks again for this amazing video!

  • It’s staring all of us in the face… the question of “if a vegan diet is absolutely natural for a human then why is so many supplements “recommended”?” Lol

  • I love the video ladies!! I do wish there was more information on managing/getting rid of PCOS versus info on what it is. I have PCOS, hair loss and hair growth… I know what it is already. I just want to find something that can give me hope about this facial hair I have.

  • Funny how the guest mentions fats ( healthy ). I’ve long suspected that healthy fats are an important component in the plant based diet yet there are Vegan doctors out there ( John Mcdougall, Caldwell Esseltyne, Jeff Novick) who are very anti fat including plant fats. You can see why there is so much confusion on this topic.

  • Meats as condiments. Exactly. I eat meat sparingly and almost never eat dairy. Blend up walnuts as a replacement for butter or margarine

  • This is so interesting, lots of good advice. I’m still not super sure about my own situation though. I’ve recently become unable to digest my favorite fruits like mango and watermelon, I cut out kombucha since I believe it led to my eczema. I experienced relief but it’s now come back:/.

  • I don’t have a pancreas but worse my intestines twisted and I lost 18 inches of my small intestines and dr said no gluten and no roughage. I’m eating gluten free but still bloated and feel horrible… I also miss vegetables.. I wish I knew what to eat. Is there a list anywhere? I’m also a runner and workout… I am very health conscious but frustrated with what to eat.

  • I wonder where this info came from about carbs being healthy, have seen so much recently about carbs being the most unnecessary thing in the world since your body can produce the necessary glucose from our other food. If anyone can link me some research please do, I’d love to learn more about it

  • I am allergic to coconut. At first it was the protein part only, like Coconut milk or flakes. But now I react (trouble swallowing) to oil as well. Coconut oil is in everything now! I can barely find an ice cream that has chocolate in it, that doesn’t use coconut oil. Chocolate bars are also now using it. What about people like me?!?

  • The idea that protein creates an acid environment and therefore leeches calcium from bones has been overturned by better evidence. Also, vegans/vegetarians don’t have better bone health.

Please check what these vegan RDs say about it.

  • strange, I thought the video was going to say something about how bread has made people bored of most foods as a vegan. This was informative knowing its a diet to apply but not continue for just attempting to regulate unexpected growth of body organisms, typing this on youtube search and seeing the result show up like fad diets to shill ebooks on reminded me of
ad populum fallacies. But it is youtube, so anything that is searchable is probably a product somehow too.

  • She just promoted butter as a health food and didn’t mention that animal products are counterproductive to the human microbiome and should be avoided above all things. Dr.Gregers evidence-based videos>all the other sold out youtube health scammers.

    One more thing:
    Animal-agriculture/eating wild animals causes pandemics.
Go to google scholar for evidence.

  • I started college in 1976 as a nutrition major. I got so fed up with how they were teaching it…justifying the standard American diet…that I changed majors. I never stopped my own education, though, and that lead me to a plant-based whole food diet. So excited about this new generation of dietitians. So powerful!!

  • Am really grateful and thankful for what Dr Ozula has done for me and my family. I Was having HERPES for good three years with no solution, the diseases almost took my life and because I was unable to work and I was also loosing lots of money for medication, but one faithful day when I went online, I met lots of testimonies about this great man so I decided to give it a try and to God be the glory he did it. he cured me of my diseases and am so happy and so pleased to Write about him today. if you need his help link him up on ig Dr Ozula or you also want to get cured just the way I got mine, just email him below [email protected] or Whatsapp ;+2347050891914 and get your healing. He has cure for other deadly diseases like Diabetes, Hiv/Aids, Hepatitis of all types and Cancer

  • You know the video is good when you have ADHD and youve got lost in her story and way of telling without looking into the comments

  • Omg that totally explains why I was having knee pain when I was consuming dairy daily. Because of my knee pain I thought I have calcium deficiency so I started to drink cow milk more and more which worsened the situation. And also severe acne appeared in my face and in my back because of dairy. So, to cure acne, I had no other choice but to stop consuming dairy. And now my acne and knee pain both are gone. I am happy:)

  • Bredesen protocol almost exactly the OPPOSITE of what dieticians have prescribed in the past. Yeah, there’s overlap with some veggies but the Bredesen emphasis is on KETOSIS which is low carb AND FATS. Dieticians have been all about high carbs and low fats.

  • Just found this video enjoyed it very much. Can’t help but wonder if any of your food recommendations have been altered given COVID19 as fresh greens and berries for salads/smoothies are not cooked which potentially would kill viruses.

  • Can’t help thinking the best diet of all would be mental effort and new learning. People seem to look to eating to solve everything these days.

  • This is Great! Sounds like you’re promoting the (“mild”) Ketogenic Lifestyle with a lot more vegetables Very (extremely) similar to Dr. Eric Berg recommendations. NICE!

  • Oil is recommended?
Do these oils damage the endothelium?
Is damaging your endothelium something worth doing just for the sake of being in ketosis?
Aren’t there more effective ways of getting into ketosis that don’t damage the endothelium like fasting?

  • Excellent informative episode ladies! Thank you! I learned so much. I have been plant based for several years but still suffer from gas and bloating on a daily basis. I’ve always wondered what is going on? I guess I might have SIBO and have to start looking into solutions for that. I wish there were dietitians in my area that specialized in this natural GI healing. Any suggestions for the Chicago area?

  • There is a contradiction though you were the odd ones out in college for pointing out evidence but you also say that dieticians focus on evidence.

  • Great episode and so much useful info! We love Dahlia and James (@marriedtohealth). We consulted with them prior to going whole foods, plant-based vegan and they made us feel confident in our decision to choose a healthy lifestyle for our family (including my 2 year old!)

  • Where the heck do you thing those calories go? If you’re not vegan, how can you make light in the white of your eyes? While burning fat to make light throught the eyes, do I really have to worry about carbs. My foot!

  • There is an alternative to eating fifteen servings of phytochemical-rich veggies when you get old and scared. The alternative is to eat a decent diet starting when you’re a kid.
Remember Granny? “Eat your veggies, it’ll put colour in your cheeks.” “Yeah, but Granny, I don’t WANT green cheeks!”
Sorry, kid, Granny is right: and it’s one of those nice surprises you’ll have to study science to understand. Green veggies give you pink cheeks. Amazing!

  • I’ve looked everywhere for fiber free meals plans and couldn’t find. Do you know any website or apps that can help me with it, please share it here

  • Great video! I just read the Alzheimer’s Solution by Ayesha Sherzai and Dean Sherzai, and was super interested to hear another perspective. There were definitely more similarities than differences.

  • Plant based diets are extremely healthy. Meat based diets are dangerously unhealthy. This is a great video!!! Also watch Charlotte Gerson on YouTube.

  • Wow wow wow this video was ACTUALLY a godsend. I’m almost a month going vegan and I was just skipping breakfast because I couldn’t make parfaits anymore. But I recently found out about vegan yogurt and now I’m on cloud nine lmao. This video was very helpful ive been taking most supplements. The only one I was missing was B12!

  • This was informative and she is a lovely and intelligent woman. As a “grammar nazi” noticing the common English mistakes of the younger generations and in the spirit of wanting her (especially as a sister) to sound her best:
*fewer (not “less”) calories (they are countable = fewer)
*Et cetera has no “k” in it
*lower in volume (not “less in volume”)
*don’t pronounce the “l” in salmon (at least not in American English)

  • I can’t go vegan because for some reason I get chronic motor tics after not eating meat and so does my mom and her mom. It’s strange:(

  • She made some false claims in this video, don’t take anything you hear at face value. UnnaturalVegan explains it in this video:

  • How is a diet that includes legumes be low carb? WHY would you want to avoid naturally raised animal protein? You can eat nutrient dense animal protein AND eat large quantities of veggies and fruits, as Terry Wahls recommends in her well studied MS reversing diet.

  • as a vegan for 2 years, I never ever ate so many carbs before, but I have lost 34kg due to calorie restricting ‍♀️ I ate what I wanted (lots of junk) while I’ve lost it. just watch every calorie if you want to lose weight

  • Yes, very comprehensive, knowledgable, realistic and encouraging to listen to. I’m a meat eater on a journey into the vegan world

    Thank you for your insight

  • Nice video but this should apply to everyone for overall health and not just Alzheimer prevention. Unfortunately, this kind of eating is expensive and takes much more time to prepare as for many often it is just easier to buy a ready-made processed meal. But then again, spend the time and money to be healthy is a lot better than spending the time and money on doctor visits and medicines. I think the jury is still out on a plant-based diet being the solution. I think there are just as many out there pushing for a high fat meat-based diet. But either way, HFCS, simple sugars and processed foods should definitely be reduced, if not removed and work for a balanced diet without grains. Two POVs to consider, Robert Lustig & Mark Sisson.

  • I am a new vegan 1 month in now. I still have alot to learn the dos and don’t. But I’m loving my journey so far and have no intentions of going back. Veganism isn’t a diet it’s a lifestyle #Govegan

  • I love how respectful and positive she is about veganism. I was vegetarian for years and had so many healthcare professionals insist that my problems were related to my (balanced and healthy) vegetarian diet.

  • High Fiber when your stomach is okay. But when you having an episode low fiber. According to my Dr. He’s the “best” in Beverly Hills. I guess lol

  • Thanks for the video. I just found out through 23 and me I have one copy of Apoe E4. I’m 59 and know symptoms yet, I’m researching to make some life style changes.

  • Actually potatoes and tomatoes are foods to avoid on an anti inflammatory diet ‍♀️ maybe this needs to be researched more before putting out content. Not trying to be rude but I stumbled across this video when looking to reduce inflammation due to my arthritis. Unfortunately everything I’ve seen goes against this segments recipe.

  • This was great, I been tryin to find out about “natural ways to rid arthritis” for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried Arlotteken Arthritis Ambitioned (should be on google have a look )? Ive heard some decent things about it and my partner got excellent success with it.

  • Can you please put up a disclaimer if you use disturbing footage in the video? (Chickens getting their throats slit). In such a feel-good video I didn’t expect to see birds hanging upside down casually shown while talking about diet. Otherwise a great video, keep it up!

  • Most doctors usually push pills. It was frustrating at first, but if you think about it, that’s what they know… medicine and diagnosing. I’ve found that most of my injuries or ailments were better treated by other more specific healthcare providers like Therapists and Dietitians.

  • I’ve been on a plant based diet for 2 weeks now i jumped straight in and i am just loving the process i love the journey. It does help alot if you’re already eating more vegetables than animal produce. Good luck to everyone starting their vegan season

  • Ppl have been eating grains nd dairy for ages in fact that was all that was available to them they lived longer nd healthier than us. The main thing is to maintain a balance in everything. Don’t over do anything. Live with ‘moderation. A simple but a full life.

  • I missed the mention of small animals kidneys, liver, harts, Glands… I know there is a vegetarian wave that makes it not “politically correct” to talk about this but the facts are there to check. Most vitamins are fat soluble, not water. This animal parts contain huge quantities or vitamins and minerals surrounded by fat. They used to be part of our diets and were included in everyone’s daily cooking. Make sure they come from grass fed animals and small, if possible, to make sure they have not been vaccinated or medicated in any way (a cow is a costly animal to loose but a lamb or a chicken are not therefore there is no need to spend extra money on preventing an illness)

  • I notice lots of people keep on talking about Custokebon Secrets (search on google). But I’m uncertain if it’s good. Have you ever tried using this popular weight loss secrets?

  • What are some ways to lost a lot of weight? I read a lot of great opinions on the net about how Custokebon Secrets will help you lost tons of weight. Has anyone tested out this popular fat burn methods?

  • Just heard of a new study that a chemical in microwave popcorn is linked to Alzheimer’s disease.

Stick with whole unprocessed Foods when possible!

  • Love your videos! We need a vegan view for men, too! Some people believe Veganism is a female thing. Vegan for 30yrs. Vegan for life!

  • Yeah, that stuff’s gross. I used to work in an elder care facility and tried it once. If I was really old, I’d request raw organic smoothies and whey protein shakes.

  • I am so interested in this. Have been reading all I can on Dr. Bredesen’s ReCODE protocol and it’s so exciting. My mom is 98 and is probably in the final few weeks or months of Lewy Body Dementia with Parkinsons. She is totally unable to do anything for herself, and communication is so difficult for her and us. Mom has very little comprehension. Have watched her go from a incredibly independent person to her present state. I will not go down this road for myself if I can prevent it. I had my genetics tested with 23&me and do not have the APOE4 gene from either parent. I know this doesn’t make it clear sailing and I will do whatever it takes. Thanks for your excellent video. with

  • Oils and fats are highly processed foods, so no wonder they are considered bad. But fats naturally contained in plant foods, in moderation and if you’re not suffering from heart disease, are more conducive to a good balanced diet. I’m confused about the fish thing and this constant necessity to eat the rainbow?! That can make things expensive and complicated for most and so much more confusing than whole plant based foods with no added oil. Butyrate comes from the result of eating plant fibre and omega essential oils are much better taken in their parental form LA and ALA, rather than as the non essential EPA/DHA If these are not already rancid before they enter the body, they definitely are as soon as they are ingested. They’re fine in very cold deep water fish, but not at 37 degrees centigrade. The brain is flooded with a super high dose of rancid oil that it has to deal with. Plus, it only requires DHA in very small amounts. Anthropologists link the huge growth in human brains at around 800,000 years ago to the further development of our amylase enzymes and cooking tubers. The brain is a massive glucose consumer, which is it’s preferred source of energy and widely available. I also don’t get the hour of exercise a day, plus being active…necessary if you’re tanking a lot of calories from oil, but is that sustainable and safe? Please don’t get me wrong, I’m not an expert and this is just my point of view. I’m a 57 year old plant based male and have followed this way of eating for around 7 years after doing a year of 5:2 fasting. Which was great, but unsustainable for me at the time as I was cycling to work each day and kept forgetting to eat enough on the feast days. I’m a big fan of this channel and thanks for a really interesting interview!

  • Since joining my nutrition program (on the path to become a dietitian myself!) I’ve learned that most dietitians agree will this. Really, there’s not much to disagree on. All long as you are able to consume your vitamins and minerals, and enough calories (which isn’t THAT hard) you’ll do great! Your body may go through a transitional state, especially bloating, if you change your diet suddenly. You’ll adjust within a few months, and it’ll all feel totally worth it!

  • well thats where shes totally wrong… keto is a long term lifestyle and keto its the same thing as the candida diet. it should be long term especially if you dont want it to come back, a whole new way of eating and thinking about food, of course it should be long term!! if you care more about health more than unhealthy cravings then long term is the way, unless you want candida back, when it comes back when you get rid of it, it comes back harder and stronger. people who do long term high fat low carb are healthier stronger dont suffer from things like candida, have mental clarity, look young, so many reasons for long term high fat low carb. candida lives off of sugar so if you take the sugar out it starves

  • Only 4k views?! This is such a gold mine of info! Puts my heart at ease on a lot of things and also addresses some issues I hadn’t thought of. Thanks for all you gals do for us!!

  • Thank you so much for such an informative episode! Dr. James and Dr. Dahlia are seriously the best. Could you please do an episode on birth control? I’m kind of lost on that one, I have really painful periods (sorry for the TMI) and am being told that in my situation, the pill could help, but it’s such a charged topic and so many people are either very vocally pro or against. You guys always have the best experts, and I would love to hear your take on it. Thank you so much once again, I love your channel(s)! ❤️

  • My great grandmother, grandmother both had this disease. And now my mom. it’s been devastating. I’m so interested in this even for myself at age 37. Thank you Whitney for more great material.

  • Sorry what? You say that is good to eat healthy fats but then you say to cut out vegetable oil (olive oil in the picture that is one of the healthiest oil, especially when it’s eaten raw) and you recommend butter (saturated fat, so definitely not healthy)?!?!?!

  • At the beginning I was skeptical with the intense explanation of the diet but the verdict if really professional and helpful, thanks!! Pd: the puns are terrible but… I kinda like them…
