The “Gestalt prayer” is a 56-word statement by psychotherapist Fritz Perls that is taken as a classic expression of Gestalt therapy as a way of life model of which Dr. Perls was a founder.. The key idea of the statement is the focus on living in response to one’s own needs, without projecting onto or taking introjects from others. It also expresses the idea that it is by fulfilling their own.

508 Years Chopping Time (XP) What You Get. Definition of live up to your expectations in the Idioms Dictionary. live up to your expectations phrase. What does live up to your expectations expression mean? Definitions by the largest Idiom Dictionary. Live up to your expectations Idioms by The Free Dictionary.

No-one wants to be told how to live. Don’t expect people to live up to your expectations. That’s one of the hardest things in life: we have a hard time understanding that people are not under our control.

Similarly, people’s expectations are theirs; you have no obligation to fulfill them. Pushy influence always creates disappointment. I am not in this world to live up to your expectations, And you are not in this world to live up to mine. You are you, and I am I, and if by chance we find each other, it’s beautiful.

I’ve never heard raise up to your expectations. And the second sentence you’ve mistaken one of the words, it is “I hope I can live up to your expectations.”|@noorlge: I think what you meant is ” I hope I can live up to your expectations” instead of leave up. “I hope I can raise to your expectations” doesn’t sound right. The word raise would not be used in this contest, but you can use. I live in Silicon Valley, California (aka tech world) and my parents are super traditional first generation asians. I feel like I can never live up to their expectations.

Because they have pushed me in school I have gotten good grades however I realized in college that I don’t want to go into health care like they want me to. After getting to know many older people as friends I know that if I. When expectations are not met, pain ensues, and we often place blame on the something or someone who did not live up to our expectations—even if our expectations were unreasonable. Expectations based on human assumptions can cause trouble.

For example, when a man and a woman get married, they both carry expectations into the marriage.

Additionally, we found that marinating the cucumber, tomatoes, chickpeas, olives, and onion in the dressing for five minutes, before adding the more tender lettuce and cheese components, brought a welcome flavor boost to the salad.

  • I’ve lived in places with white people like this. And my fiancé did exactly that, we moved our computer and flat screen and gaming consoles in the middle of the night.

  • So many benefits being a husband. Don’t cohabitate, don’t comingle finances, wrap it up, tell them to eat before the activity and bring snacks.

  • both me and my wife are aries. if she start acting bossy and blaming her sign, I was like “you realize you are dealing with a ram here, right honey?” lol

  • Painfully unfunny. What a sorry state when a man talks about being abused to get laughs. If this was a woman, people would be gasping.

  • This is great comedy.. thank you for sharing 3 years married and I love my wife… some of these conversations he talks about I swear I’ve had

  • I’ve been living with my gf for 6 years, I’ve seen these signs in the past 2 years. But, I love her, yes irritating, but I can handle it. Maybe it’s a sign, time to be a man and put a ring on her. Can’t wait for my life to be miserable living hell lol

  • And that is one of the reason I am single and only interested in girls sexy parts. “Friend with benefits or just friend? Your choice”

  • As far as I can tell you spend your time split between spending time with your wife and making fun of your wife. You’ve got good delivery and structure, I’d love to see a set where you talk about literally anything else.

  • My wife ordering food was almost the deal breaker for me when we were dating. Honestly can take 20 minutes at any restaurant. Always asks the wait staff what their personal favorite on the menu and then orders some other random crap. 8 years later im so used to it now. I almost look forward to it just to see how absurd she can be.

  • Actually the fact that she didn’t say anything in the store is a good sign. Means she respected your decision enough to not battle with you in front of the clerk. Just my opinion

  • What a brilliant man. To this day no one has been so relatable in their comedy to me. Thank you Bo for your vulnerable moments. Thank you for your music. Thank you for your performances ❤️

  • I have extensive work and study in Theater, Comedy, and Performance Art on a Doctorate Level, and this is one of the greatest “Happenings” that I’ve ever had the privilege to watch. This exceeds every form. I don’t comment on YouTube unless your a genius, or I’m moved. This gets both compliments.

  • Man, if I’m ever with a girl that blames everything on her sign, I’ll do that as well. Luckily ( o of course don’t believe in this bullshit), Aquariusi (yeah, that’s the plural) are supposed to don’t give a crap and lie easily. XD

  • Great driving song with an amazing message! Steven Curtis Chapman is my top favorite! I also call this song my stick shift song! You can easily drive a stick to this! I’ve done it!

  • I love this guy’s comedy. The voice he uses when he’s impersonating his wife is funny as hell!!And his delivery is simply perfect.I could listen to this guy all day

  • She leads her legacy and we need other kinds of legenderies in the new generation. You rocked it well Tina. Who else is here in 2020 listening to her songs?

  • I can’t stand when females are around..

Just the sounds of there voices.
Needy narcissistic inconsiderate self-absorbed.. always about them.

  • Am i right to view this as Mr Bo Burham’s ‘magnum opus’ or is he still too young to give THAT title to THIS performance considering he still has much to give?

  • I have to brag. My friend wrote this song he was 17. Sold it without rights and it wasn’t picked up and recorded until Chapman bought it many, many years later.

  • Everyone’s talking about how this song is deep and depressing and stuff but I just think it’s funny and the pringle and burrito part is relatable

  • I HATE when the wife tells me to go up town and get us something to eat. I ask, What do you want, Her reply, I don’t know. Does not matter what I get it is the wrong thing. And what makes it worse is, these people in these fast food joints rarely ever get the order right. In the span of a month or so I went to McDonald’s ordered the same thing. 8 out of 10 times they got the order wrong. The last time I went there I ordered two of there $1.00 hamburgers and a shake. Took them about 8 min. to get me one of the hamburgers and a shake. And another hour to get the other hamburger. Oh, I did ask them about the other hamburger. The girl asked me, Did you pay for it? I showed her the recite. She goes back over the fries and ignore’s me. I was nice I was polite and respectful. I knew if I complained or said anything she would play the race card. It was her way of fucking over the white guy. But I got my two hamburgers and cup of warm milk and left.
The Mexican restaurant is almost as bad. This was a while back, I was sent there every Friday night to get food. Most of the time it was over $200. I had ordered 3 orders of Taco’s, but only got 2. So I called them and explained, No problem we will give you that extra order of taco’s on your next order. On my next visit I explain what happened, and I was told I would get the extra order of tacos on my next visit, and this was my next visit. Strange how all the sudden No one can speak English. It was like a Abbott and Costello routine.
I went to Burger King, I tell them I want a Double Whopper, No onion, No cheese, No pickle. I get home and they gave me a double whopper. It had about a half an onion on it. Two slices of Cheese, and a half jar of pickles.
I do not eat pork, I go to Zaxby’s and order a Grilled Chicken sandwiches I tell the girl No Pork, She brings me my order and the sandwiches it is covered in Bacon. Perhaps she did not know Bacon is pork.
I went to KFC and I asked is the chicken fresh? The girl assured me it was. I get home and take it out of the box. It is so old it is starting to turn brown. It is dried out and not fit to eat. A few months later I went back, again I asked if the chicken was fresh, and I was assured it was. I get home and it looks good. It looks fresh and smells good. So I took and bit into it, it was RAW. I suppose I should Not have said anything about the first batch being old.
Now days I cook at home, it is better, cheaper and the way I like it.

  • I got so sick of the last second questions and changes pulled by my wife and step-daughter that I stopped using the drive through.  Amazing how they could make their orders flawlessly when they had to stand in front of the counter.

  • so Ray what I get out of this,… is… you have had to get that ol’ Les Paul  Gold Top twice now!.. This is a real good song also, ^5 keep up keeping up!!!

  • SO MANY people on here can’t take a joke. It’s a COMEDY routine. He’s joking. He doesn’t hate his wife, he’s not a simp (what an awful thing to call a man). This is how the man makes a living. He ALWAYS says how much he loves his wife.

  • he’s fucking memeing on us, cucking us knowing that we understand what
he means but can’t really do anything about it and has therefore “won”
in a sense. same applies to we think we know you

  • This is the most humble side of youtube.. these comments are beautiful. I hope you all get through what ever you are facing, and never forget where music brought you. Peace and love y’all!!

  • I found FKJ thru the Tadow video. It was obvious and apparent that he is a musical genius in his own right. I see he is enjoying success…I’m very excited about that! I’m a fan of them both. FKJ reminds me of the musical thoughtfulness that went into music in the late 60s and 70s but he has brought it way forward! It’s so relevant to today ❤ His music is a ‘happy place’.

  • What can I say, FANTASTIC… It’s a beautiful view and good music. I’m fascinated because I love to filmed, here is one example https://youtu.be/tEO1cfw-JjI
In case you want to see more!!

  • I grew up in a Majority Protestant family except for my aunt and I always liked to listen to SCC music cause it’s the only contemporary Protestant music that is really catchy and most of his sounds aren’t really against Catholicism (which I’ve accepted since I was 13 years old). My favorite songs of his are No Better Place and the Great Adventure. I’d love to see a movie about his life and have those two sound’s in it.

  • All the world knows that the goodness of doing good is not real goodness.

    Lao Tzŭ, seventh century B.C.

“You’re supposed to, you dumb motherfucker!”
    Chris Brown, twentieth century A.D.

  • Sometimes I don’t want you to be right or wrong or have a solution. Sometimes I just want sympathy with light encouragement and then we can move on.

  • FKJ you the man. Following your passions to make this a better world. Keep inspiring us. Blew me away when you did the vocals at 44:30. Cant wait to see where take us next.

  • Is this a freestyle or is there any Chance to Support him, including buying his tracks ( i‘ll Hope, i can Write this Phrase like this haha) i am More of a mathematican, you know what i mean haha

  • 3:05 “Dammit, of course I need to take a dump now…” says the man walking off set in rubber boots. Saw this the 3rd time I watched! Must’ve missed the other times. LOL. In all seriousness the whole set is amazing and I will watch again and again! Love!

  • I love how Bo ends all his shows with a powerful message first art is dead in words words then we thing we know you in what and then this. He truly is the best comedian of all time

  • He surely was the comedian we needed

But to think for a second we ever deserved him would be lying. It may be sad he’s gone, but I couldn’t be happier that he happened…

Yes bo. You have made me very happy.
