  • Haha! I’d love to make a trip to Toronto (never been) and train with some of my subscribers. One of my good friends has a gym there!

  • he recipe looks FANTASTIC, but is there an alternative for the cream of mushroom can and gravy powder. i feel they are highly processed with MSG and TONS of sodium.

  • Just emailed this recipe to myself 😉 Will try it tomorrow, as today I’m watching the 2014 Soccer World Cup…. Thank you, and I just subscribed to your channel…. 😉

  • I spotted this recipe today and thought I have some of those ingredients already. Stopped at the supermarket on the way home to pick up the rest. I have the burrito bowl cooking in the slow cooker. Some brown rice cooking in the rice cooker. It will be ready when I get up in the morning and I plan on taking it to work as lunch. Can not wait to try it.

  • Maybe its just me but why does this guy finish his sentences as if you could continue his sentence? almost sounds robotic.

Nice channel though. Gets a thumbs up.

  • I meal prep for the days I work, so four days. BUT I meal prep ALL of the meals for those days, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks.

I love the slow cooker meals, but I rework them for my instant pot. My IP does have a slow cook feature, but when I’m prepping I just want to get it done.

  • Love the slow cooker recipes!! For somebody that likes make their meals ahead of time they are definitely my favorite. Keep them coming!!

PS. Love the part where you say I could eat this everyday.

  • New friend here! I’m so happy I found a new low carb vid to add in my rotation. I love being creative in my recipes and these help steer me in the kitchen!! Lucky me I have riced cauliflower in my fridge! Can’t wait to check all of these out!

  • Nice fishy egg separater and also good ideas for weight loss but I wish I can make for my daughter..:(( all ingredients she can’t have…egg, cauliflower, mushrooms spinach broccoli cheese…now what and. How to make low carbs for her

  • For health reasons, I have to eat low carb. I’m so glad I found your site. Good recipes and very doable. Thank You. New subscriber:0)

  • For anyone who can’t stand cauliflower or is just plain sick of it lol another good veg to use for a low carb replacement for potatoes is cooked radishyou can use regular red radishes or even better diakon radish if you can find it. It won’t have the same amount of nutrients, but it has more of a starchy texture while still being much lower carb. When you cook them they lose their peppery taste and have the same flavor and texture as a potato.

  • I made the salsa chicken tonight, it was delicious and by far my favorite chicken crock pot recipe. Thank you for the healthy, EASY recipe!!!

  • 5 days work week lunch and snack meal prep. Breakfast is low cal oatmeal, chocolate pb2 and 20g protien powder. Dinners are usually family time cooking, high protien and veggies. Weekends are little higher fat and grilling time!

  • Awesome, gonna make this within the next couple of days. In my younger years I didn’t learn or try to cook. As a former competitive bodybuilder my Mom was my master chef. Thank you Protein Chef!!

  • These are mostly nice, but everyone should keep in mind what their target daily calories are, which cannot be too low or too high. If you’re male you should consume 11x(desired weight in pounds) each day, to maintain that weight. Naturally, if you consume that diet, while above that desire weight, you will gradually lose weight. But you have to feel full as well, so you don’t break and eat a bunch of low calorie low filling foods.

  • Great video. I’m on a weight loss program, and this is perfect for weekends! What’s the title of the past music though? Please, someone? Thanks.

  • Question, the stew makes around 10 serving portions, and you would have to refrigerate it all, but surly eating stew cold is not everyone’s cup of tea, so how would you heat your portion up, I’m quite hesitate reheating chicken in the microwave as it can be a bit dodgy.

  • Omg I searched for crockpot recipes and yours came up first……LOVE your channel and this video…an automatic new subí for you….good job can’t wait to watch the rest.

  • Its cooking as I write this and it smells amazing! I also tried the protein crepe recipe earlier today, although I used the wrong kind of yogurt for it the consistency lacked a bit because of it but the flavor was there! it was awesome. Thanks for all the videos truly appreciate them being actually protein driven… not like other recipes I have seen that the macro ratios are terrible and claim to be protein recipes..

  • If you were to cut your limes across instead of lengthwise they’d be easier to squeeze plus you should be able to get more juice from them.
Other ways to get more juice from limes and lemons…press them against the countertop while rolling them under the heel of your hand, using firm pressure or, microwave them for 3-5 seconds before cutting.
Also, don’t refrigerate them, unless you’re keeping them in ‘long-term’ storage.

  • I’ve made the chicken and biscuits before. Trust me on this and just make the biscuits in the oven. It turns out much better and is no big deal to do.

  • WHY did you need so much for such a small amount of beef muffins? Literally six eggs. A whole tomato. I made this today and I had SO MUCH leftover and I actually managed to have 8 beef muffins instead of 6

  • Meal prep-I cook/meal prep for both me and my 16 yoa son who does help/assist (we are both bodybuilders full-bore) for each and every day / for that day. 14 meals between the 2 of us (seven 500 cal meals for each of us)

  • These are great receipts but it has already been proven that fat is not bad for you, fat does not make you fat, etc. Also, the egg yolk is the most nutritious part and science has now proven that they were wrong about the egg yolk being bad for you because of cholesterol. Science is catching up, so people need to keep up also. Sugar, empty calories, simple carbohydrates, the lack of vitamins and minerals, the lack of exercise, things like that make you fat, not fat. Fat is broken down slowly in the body so it slowly releases energy, and the body has to work harder to turn fat into energy, so it does not make you fat.

  • it was good and very filling, but I think I’m going to exclusively use russet potatoes the next time. I can’t get used to the taste of sweet potatoes

  • Great vid fam, we need more pan cakes!!! I usually prep for 2 days ONLY, taking one days prep with me and storing the next days in a dry cool spot like my oven for the next day. Anything more portions than that I have to refrigerate/microwave, which I can’t stand sometimes because of the loss of freshness.

  • what would a person starting out in muscle building need? as I wouldn’t need the amount you do yourself or the protein will turn to fat won’t it if my body doesn’t need to use it?:)

  • Just a question. The spinach roll. Does that mean when you cut the veggie roll, each of the slices is 60cal? Or for 5 of them is 60cal? I’m assuming the whole roll is about 300, correct?

  • Easy to use and programmable.>>> ur2.pl/1064 The lid is also secured in place by latches making it safe to transport and you won’t get your abuelita’s frijoles all over the back of your lowered to the ground 4×4 pickup truck. Love this thing.

  • oh thank God I found you sir I thought diet food would mean either soup, salads or smoothies and not normal food like this I love slow cookers and own three of them looking to get a fourth very busy family and school life have literally 2 days to prep for meals for the week and this helps a thon thank you.

  • This 1st dish is not low carb. Carrots, sweetcorn and peas? Cauliflower also carb and LEAN mince? Why?
Seems like you’re confusing low carb with low fat.

  • Summer bodies are made in winter. I am making mine, what about you? You can create training and meal plan yourself, or you can save your time and visit *Next Level Diet*. You chose

  • I meal prep for 5 days: breakfast and two lunches (since I eat every 3 hrs), I try and cook dinner fresh if not I eat leftovers from food prep

  • Those were great ideas, and I’m so glad you put the video on high speed, while your voice was regular speed. Made it easier to watch and soak in mentally.

  • Use a garlic press its the perfect way to add garlic w n chunks. Its the perfect consistency.OXO is the best one easiest to clean! Attachment to clean little holes is attached soft handles so its comfortable Your hand.

  • Please people, do not waste food like this person in the video. Egg yolks are the most nutritious part of the egg, you don’t need to cut the peelings off of fruits and vegetables because they are also nutritious and sometimes more nutritious than the other parts of the vegetables, etc. There are millions of people starving, please stop wasting. Fat doesn’t make you fat, fat is broken down slowly in the body. Sugar and simple carbohydrates are what make you fat, etc.

  • I usually grill up some kind of protein on Sundays too prep for the week (5 days) usually chicken, this week it’s grilled wild caught salmon.

  • Don’t have enough space for a slow cooker. I do have a dutch ove./le creuset, but I’m not sure how to emulate temperatures from slow cookers. Any info on temps?

  • I meal prep for 2! I’ll make at least 2 varieties of breakfasts, 3-4 varieties of lunches and 2-3 varieties of snacks for my husband and I. This can typically last us for most of the week.

  • Please let me know if you tried any of these meals and how they tasted.
I am looking forward to more meals like these. Healthy life, Happy life

  • awesome. lovely snack! thanks. some great recipes too from dr. terry shintani in hawaii are in peacediet.org those can help reverse diseases like obesity, diabetes, high blood, cancer etc.. see also http://www.AskDrShintani.com

  • prepping vegetables started to go quicker once i learned proper knife skills. i just looked up a gordon ramsey video on it and practiced.

  • First, I do have to mention that your introduction is way too long. But after I got past that, I found some helpful information. I love the recipes! Thank you for sharing.

  • Sorry man! You definitely need to make sure everything is fairly submerged (how it cooks). I’ll note this in my future slow cooker recipes for sure

  • I have made many of Derek’s recipes I do altered them a bit for example on this recipe I will use 4 sweet potatoes and regular gravy mix I will add 1 onions and I will use full sodium as its not really that much per serving and really don’t need to add anymore salt after.

  • i dont meal prep, i want to start, save money on eating out, plus i can keep track of caloric intake and nutrients. Want to do it mostly for my mom (diabetic/high blood pressure) but ive im doing it for her, might was well do it for me too.

can anyone link me to articles/videos or resources for cook recipes or how tos for meal prepping?

  • Yay Publix GreenWise! I wish you would explain to your subscribers how important organic chicken breasts are over the rest of the Frank and chicken Market chicken.

  • Would really appreciate the MyFitnessPal or other nutritional info. Especially for a health/fitness channel I assumed it was standard. Good content otherwise

  • Assalamu’alaikum sobat semua yang efektif sukses jangan lupa untuk saskrep kami dan semangat saling berhubungan dan semangat terus ya semoga bermanfaat buat kita semua amin,,,❤️❤️❤️❤️

  • I tried this the other night. I was so excited, but it really didn’t work well for me. It smelled good, but rather than having everything combine together into a nice chunky stew, I wound up with tough chicken sitting in a thin broth. Any idea what might have gone wrong?

  • Nice recipe, tried this week but used garbanzo beans (chick peas) instead of black beans (don’t like em) and canned corn (missed the frozen part). Did on low for 7.5 hours. Came out good! Thanks! Didn’t do the rice though, going low carb since the beans have carbs too.

  • Love the recipe on the bread for the chicken burger but overall it’s a little too dry for my taste lol I need more sauce but it’s my fav recipe ❤️❤️❤️

  • Your video is fast forward. Not showing the amount of fat from cooking hamburger. Your a wannabe on the internet. You don’t talk or explain anything.

  • So funny…. I had my husband cook this for me today and he and my son loved it so much, most of it is gone!.. so much for meal prep….

  • I feel like there should be a disclaimer with Kidney Beans when using a slowcooker that you absolutely have to use CANNED beans and that it’s not just a suggestion. cause if someone decides to substitue raw ones in a slowcooker you could poison someone. Kidney beans can’t get cooked hot enough and long enough in a slowcooker to not be toxic af. That is specifically why the recipe calls for canned beans. either that or you have to pre-cook them at temperature for at least 30 minutes before putting them in the slow cooker.

  • Instead of putting the chicken in already chopped up, put the whole chicken breast in… 30 minutes before its finished, take out the chicken breasts and make it into pulled chicken using 2 forks( it really gets all the flavour into the chicken and easier to eat)…. then place the pulled chicken back into the cooker for the remaining 30 minutes, and thank me later.

  • It is my new favorite cooking tool>>> ur2.pl/1052 especially for meal prepping or preparing multiple meals. A must have in the kitchen!

  • This looks delicious, however I’m on a very low sodium diet. Do you have any recipes that are designed for very low sodium diets? I have to keep mine to about 1500 mg a day!! I’ve all but cut salt out of my diet, but want options! Thanks!!

  • I been eating makeing and eating both of the recipes in my slow cooker there so good im hooked on them i make 3 tacos in take them to work for lunch everyday so good glad i found your video

  • Just starting my off season Gain time and wanted to create a tasty way to fit 8 meals a day in so bought me a slow cooker. I was struggling for inspiration and it was 70year old MUM who we just hooked up to the Internet revolution with an iPad, who you tubed and found you. She thought because you have tattoos and muscles then it fits perfect with me so she put me onto you. Great channel buddy. I’m a new fan. Gonna try this recipe this weekend when I get the ingredients in.

  • In asia, we are rice eaters but we are not obese.
Western or asian, u can be lean.. when u eat in moderation.
Stop the gluttony. Its unhealthy n obesity is definitely an ugly sight.

  • More slow cooked meals please! Can’t believe it took me so long to find your channel, great content, nice editing, excellent recipes! Thank you.

  • I’m 56, Irishman, recently retired & fairly new to the internet. I thought all the folks who were posting “first” or whatever got a gift for that etc…, but no, & you all need to see a doctor, you have OCD, seriously. How about a post of what you think of the food, especially if you have tried it, & let us folks that cook know whether you thought it was good or not.

  • stop and earn me out, i have tried everything, you want to earn online?? just check Onebizopp. co m work hard 2 hours per day and earn!

  • If you check my playlists I definitely have a bunch of lower sodium recipes. I mention though, in recipes like these you can probably find lower sodium alternatives to some of the ingredients which will drastically cut down the total!

  • Aye you meat head. (Kidding) can i use this recipe even if I’m trying to cut weight? I weigh at 225 from weighing at 249 at the start of february on a full stomach I’m like at 228-230. I lift light weights and started doing cardio like swimming. I got tired of eating ground turkey and chicken breast. And I want to expand my varieties.

  • Hey great videos! I’m currently on a Paleo-ish diet. Trying to cut down on my sodium are you concerned with the amounts you have in these meals?

  • To slice lots of cherry tomatoes at once place on plate… cover with same size plate (up side down)hold in place with other hand and use large knife between plates to slice tomatoes in half all in one swipe.

  • I’ve been having trouble sticking to my diet… I think this channel is really going to help me. Thanks for making all of these great videos Derek!

  • I’ve had a couple recipes come out bland (from forgetting a few key ingredients)…I get more upset about the wasted time than messing up the recipe. I guess I should stop saying I like it because obviously if I’m putting it up here I like it and rather talk more about the flavors/recipe itself/volume and so on. Sorry if that gets annoying!

  • Um,,,, YES. This channel. Thank youuuuuuu! 1, for having good music playing, being clear, concise and to the Point! And 2, the meals are Epic!!!! You are who I am going to promote, subscribe to and share. Nice! TY

  • Me wanting to cook something to eat but has no ideas to then realize I have none of the ingredients required nor money to buy them

  • Do the sweet potatoes maintain their flavor? We boiled them once and they didn’t taste any different than regular potatoes so I wondered if with the slower cooking it help keep them tasting like sweet potatoes.

  • Eating this right now. I live in Thailand so good western food is hard to come by. This is amazing! So delicious!  I’ll be making this quite often and sharing it with all my western friends here. You rock man!

  • I made the crockpot cilantro chicken it was so easy and sooooo good. loved how quick it was to just throw everything together and done. I did make some mexican rice (I know unhealthy, but it was for my hubby and kids. who am I kidding I ate some too). But I loved it. will be trying the pesto recipe next.

  • I weight the recipe and then evenly portion it out into rubbermaid containers. You can also eye it (it’s not going to matter as long as you eat the whole recipe, you’ll still be eating all of the calories). Yes, you can!

  • I’m going to try this everything for slow cook that is on your playlist I’ve made and every thing taste amazing. Questions for you tho. 1). How do i properly distribute my proportions out. I’m finding it very tough. 2). Can you slow cook fish instead of chicken? Just wondering.

  • USA,sunday chicken,monday chicken,tuesday chicken,wednesday chicken,thursday chicken,friday chicken,saturday hamburger,my god because american people eat a very badly.

  • my wife and i were preping for the whole week but the meat was getting a little funny twords the end so now were doing 2 preps a week so 3-4 days worth at a time.

  • What’s a good substitute for capsicum? You use it alot in your recipes but I absolutely hate it I really wanna make some of your recipes but I just don’t know what other veg would go good with it in replacement

  • I. Hate. Please. That. He. Has. Heart. With. Please. These. Own. Fight. Your. Eye. Drop. It. My. ❤️. Happy. Song. Is. So. Fantastic.

  • i cook for 3 days because i have tried to cook for 5 days and the taste after the 3rd day was not good. so i decided on cooking for 3 days

  • Eating it right now & OMG so flavorful & delicious! I was worried it wouldn’t cook enough in 4 hrs, but every veggie is tender & the chicken is cooked just enough & not super dry, even after reheating in the microwave.

For the Onion Gravy Mix Packet, I couldn’t find it in my supermarket:( but thanks for modern technology, I was able to google what I needed to create my own.

Everyone in my office is asking, who’s eating chicken noodle soup?! LOL!

  • Happy to have found your channel! This is the first video of yours that I have watched and I am definitely going to try this for my meals for this week. Will the meal freeze well in case I want to put a few away for emergency meals?

  • You can earn some money daily by just answering easy polls, its really easy, go to One b i Z Op p.C o m. it adds up to around $95 per day.

  • Will try this tomorrow. Looks great. Keep up the good work! My gf and I have been making your recipes since you asked for suggestions on reddit a while ago. We really appreciate this channel!

  • Quick question! In the video, you said to cook for 4-5 hours on high, but in the description box below, you wrote to cook 4-5 hours on low. Which one is right? Oh, and your videos rock, keep them coming!

  • I wish it was a different music….I know I can lower the volume, which i did, but I like hearing the music in the background. This music is for dancing. They should of maybe added like a cheerful music.
