  • That rice became not vegan when you added chicken broth. A chicken still died for that meal, and not even for you to utilize the whole thing as sustanance, just so you could have essence of chicken

Personally it took me time to realize that one can cook without and now I stopped using (water instead).   • 500 calorie meal is low? I guess if you’re tall or working out. I’m 5’1 (156cm) and need to lose some weight so I need to eat less than 500 calories per meal if I’m gonna have 3 meals a day + maybe a snack. I actually probably do eat that much already if not more but that’s why I’m overweight. I’d like to see some meals with lower calories, maybe 350-400. It’s so ironic being a fat vegan, no one takes me seriously when I say being vegan is healthier lol

  • Do not cut meat on a wooden cutting board!!! It soaks it up and that’s how you get cross contamination. You use a plastic cutting board for meats.

  • I have never thought of grating tofu but wow, what a great concept:D I will have to give it a go!
    Also, wouldn’t it be easier to just grate the carrot right after the tofu? Less utensils to be cleaned:D

  • Ah I’m really disappointed to see this here for me basing meals around numbers of calories consumed encourages such a damaging relationship with food.
    This is also something which the YouTube Algorithm seizes upon if I watch one calorie-focused video then I will start being recommended weight-loss apps and ‘transformation’ videos and other content which I have tried so hard to delete from my feed.

  • I love that your recipe videos often show the same ingredients used in several recipes (like the lettuce and carrot) and have a lot of variations depending on what people like/have at home. It reduces food wastage, especially for those of us living alone. The noodles looked so good can’t wait to make those. Also using the grater for tofu, can’t believe I’ve never thought to do that brilliant! I also appreciate how cheap/accessible your recipes are. So many youtubers (particularly I find vegan ones) love to use hard to find or expensive ingredients and it’s hard for students and people living in small towns to access those recipes so I love your channel and recipes. Also your sunny personality always makes your videos so fun to watch. Sorry for rambling on haha:)

  • You could make a very nice broth out of those foods scraps from the stir fry!
    I always save up my carrot, onion, celery etc scraps in the freezer to make a broth when I’ve enough
    Less waste, and free bouillon!


  • You put the tiniest amount of hummus on that wrap. I almost cried. You need at least 5x that amount. Not even joking or exaggerating. Hummus is a main ingredient! Get those beans!

  • Now we’re talking500 calories is a reasonable low calorie dish:D I want no one to be eating less than that for a meal (unless he/she has to)

  • Rose, I watch every video you make. Since finding your channel I’ve at least doubled the amount of tofu and bok choy I eat. Without counting calories I’ve lost weight by just making sure most of my calories come from healthy sources. By learning more about spices and herbs, I rely less fats and salt.
