These look way better than a lot of my students’ field trip lunches! I’m thankful that my school system allows us to bring our lunch boxes on field trips. We bring all of them in 2-3 large Rubbermaid tubs. One idea you could try when Bella wants hummus is to send a variety of items to dip/eat with it and just skip the sandwich (pita chips, carrots, cucumbers, sliced bell peppers, edamame, etc.). Sometimes I do that with hummus, cottage cheese, or even yogurt. I love sandwiches, too, but if I decide I’d rather have pita chips, crackers, or graham crackers I’ll use those as my grains/bread for the day. I also really love jello and pudding. I’ve started making the instant Godiva pudding and portioning into small containers for the week!
