This high-fat, low-carb eating plan is popular, but can also be extremely divisive. Your coworker says he lost XX pounds — and eats all the bacon he wants. Once you get accustomed to what to eat and how much, it becomes like second nature. You’ll intuitively know what to eat without needing to worry about tracking it.

So, there you go. If I’d known these 7 things when beginning my keto journey, the transition would’ve been smoother. But you don’t have to suffer by making the same mistakes.

Enzymes (life energy) Prebiotics and probiotics. Potassium, Sodium, Folate, vitamins C and E, iodine. Magnesium and Calcium (ultimately leads to muscle cramps, constipation, gallbladder and kidney stones, breast tissue calcification, and heel spurs.). 7 Things That Will Happen To Your Body When You Start A Keto Diet 1. Top 10 Things to Know Before Starting the Keto Diet. 1. Keto is more than a diet. It’s a way of eating (WOE).

You’ll often hear people describe their keto diet as a “lifestyle” or “way of 2. Keto requires time. You’ll hear about keto success stories where weight starts to melt off almost. After hearing so much about the ketogenic diet (hey, if it’s good enough for Alicia Vikander) and skipping one too many (read: all) of my morning workouts, I decided it was time to try out the trendy eating plan for myself.Quick refresher: The keto diet is a high-fat, moderate-protein, low-carb diet, where the goal is for your body to reach a state of ketosis (hence, the name).

As your body transitions from using carbs as fuel to ketones from fat, it’s very common to experience flu-like symptoms from headaches and dizziness, to brain fog and nausea. This is notoriously known as the “keto flu”. Minimize or eliminate symptoms as much as you can by drinking lots of water and eating more fat. Keto Diet Days 7-14: Breaking into ketosis.

If your macros are definitely right, your body should now make the switch to burning fat for energy, instead of carbs. You break into ketosis! Keto flu symptoms disappear completely. Your energy levels soar.

  • When I first went keto (just a few weeks ago) I felt instantly amazing thinking I whisked by all those negative side effects, then WHAM the brain fog hit and the muscle cramping (I powerwalk and hike). Wow, I didn’t think I was going to push through and almost thought I made a mistake. That was a tough week or so. I think this video is going to be my go to video when I start doubting myself. lol………

  • That’s strange, it only takes me two days to have good blood keton levels (1.5 4) and I never had any bad symptoms like keto flu.

  • hi Allie i been on.keto for about a month i lost 4 pounds and then regained 2 of them bsck i was wondering whai i could do to move the weight

  • I’m not practicing the Keri diet, but I am cutting out processed food and sugars. I stopped drinking coffee (major migraine for a week.) And now I’ve started drinking green smoothies in the morning. Good luck and I can’t wait to follow your health/fitness journey!

  • Maintenance since 4/2017 and still sustaining this “unsustainable” WOE!
I noticed you weren’t wearing your engagement ring…‍♀️

  • Hi sweetie, While I watched, I snacked on a quarter of a cup of a blend of macadamia nuts, pistachio nuts and walnuts. Perfectly timed enjoyment!

  • I’m interested in keto and intermittent fasting but also want to be able to eat like everyone else sometimes..,nights out, holidays etc. Can you talk about dipping in and out of low carb/keto and whether this is bad for you.

  • Hi I am a 51 year old Doctor of Oriental Medicine, postmenopausal and overfat. I have cancer and parkisons in my family line so KETO seems the perfect fit for all of those. I just started a few weeks ago and had some bumps, I stayed in my carb number but overate in my fats and proteins.:( Also I think that stevia may increase glucose in me so i just stopped that! 50 pounds overweight and 9 down since June 1.

  • I’ve lost 10 kg in the passed month on keto, starting to get bored and less motivated now. doing lazy keto.. I need to start weighing my food and eating more nutritious foods and start over.

  • Just have to point out that you are not fasting the second you drink a coffee/ green teaanything that isn’t water. It’s xenobiotic so it has to be processed by your liver, thus, ending the fast.

  • OMG I was cracking up watching your video, you basically are describing my life…leg cramps…the coffee breakfast…bacon by the boatload…everything lol

  • I found starting Paleo (low carb) then not too long after dropping the carbs towards the Keto lifestyle, so much easier to transition especially the sugar craving challenge.

  • As I posted on your other vids I do IF and love the time restricted eating currently doing a 20:4. Now, in addition to IF I am going to incorporate KETO to fight my insulin resistance, obesity, and hypertenstion AKA metabolic syndrome. Interesting to note that from my 23 and Me DNA research claims I am prone to Type 2 Diabetes. See nothing but positives from IF and Keto. Post more videos.

  • I accidentally stumbled across the ketogenic lifestyle researching the AIP diet (anti inflammatory protocol) after varying diagnoses for knee pain, plus peripheral neuropathy, psoriatic arthritis, osteoarthritis, dermatitis and eczema. I also have a torn meniscus and life was a real struggle. Sadly no symptoms have been alleviated as yet but I reason that if it took me 60 years to get into this mess I can expect it to take me longer than just a few months to get out of it. I’m in it for the long haul. One benefit already though is clarity of thought after living with brain fog (and massive memory problems) for over 15 years maybe longer.:)

  • Hey! I just ran across your videos this morning after deciding to try a ketogenic diet. Thank you so much for your informative videos. Would you mind telling me what supplements you take, esp your magnesium, and where you get them? I’m already nutrient deficient due a gastric bypass I had 13 yrs ago. Plz let me know so I can stock up before trying this diet. And thanks for being you. You crack me up! Made my day! So thnx for your silly motivational tactics. You help me to feel that this diet isn’t as overwhelming as it seems. Plz keep up the awesome videos. Can’t wait to check out your book n meal plan, too!

  • I have been on keto successfully for 14 months and didn’t do any of these things. Just listen to DRWestman videos and Dr Berry f sure.

  • What do you do when everything starts tasting the same, and nothing sounds good anymore. I am really losing my taste buds and don’t find food so interesting anymore. Which is a good thing, but very alien thing to me. I love how satiated I feel, I love that I no longer crave sugar. I love love love most of it but.. I don’t feel the excitement about food I used to.

  • I just started your Keto Beginning meal plan…day 1 and OMG…your recipes are amazing! Breakfast was to die for…and right now I’m having the largest kale salad ever with the most delicious dressing. You are, indeed, a recipe artist! LOVE IT and can’t wait to see what’s next:-)

  • Hm, fascinating, actually, I don’t follow what a typical Vegan eats and that’s only Veggies (raw almost all the time) and fruits.
I eat, Veggies, Grains, fats (only healthy mostly nuts and coconut), however, I don’t touch any meats or dairy whatsoever. And my akin is beyond glowing and as well I have no dark or bags at all (like I’m literally wearing make up yet I won’t and I’m a guy).
Pretty much anything that isn’t meat, Dairy all together. You should try this and view if you’ll be even more healthier and energetic.
I literally have too much energy (despite working hard and life). My body doesn’t get sore or rarely does but goes away after a day or two (no matter what heavy exercise or Body weight intensity I do). I’m ripped to shreds and I have that body all men look for (majority) or women (if any…).
All I did was just not eat meats or dairy that that’s it plus Wheatgrass powders and all those hard to bare Alge powders and such.

  • I was told to expect higher cholesterol (bith HDL and LDL) and I wanted to raise my HDL desperately so i did it… Then after a month or so my HDL doubled from sub 40 to 70 as expected, but my LDL was almost cut in half from 160 to 90!? Which is awesome, but I never expected that!

  • Hi I am new here so mayby it’s been mentioned before but I’ll ask anyway.  I went on your website and you offer your first name only, and you don’t state what your education is in?  Basically, am I following the nutrition advice of an English major?  Most people who have a website and offer their services, state more transparently who they are and what their experience is.  So what’s your background Leanne?

  • ok. You’re a little cup of awesome! I wear yoga pants/tights every day. Very easy to move in and feel good. If you don’t like wearing socks, might I recommend Vibrams. They are toe shoes, so you don’t have to wear socks to the gym. Start slow, they can be a little mean to the calves as you get used to them. For instance, I don’t jump rope or do any cardio (more than 10 min) in them, especially as you begin to wear them. From what I can tell you are very familiar with adjustment periods. Vibrams are awesome! That I guess would make you double awesome! Ha!

  • ally i been on clean keto for the last 6 weeks. i lost weight the first 2 weeks and it has stoped completely. take mct oil and vitamins.i start to eat from 2pm and stop at 10pm for the last 6 weeks why would i stall help please

  • I did a more healthy version of Atkins years ago. It was the only thing that helped me lose weight. So, I am very excited about your diet! However, I went through a 4.5 year phase where I was suddenly allergic to all foods. I have been able to add back foods, but between allergies and digestion, I still cannot process nuts, eggs, soy, protein powders, grains (don’t need) or cheese (which I know I don’t need).

So, before, I was able to have snacks like nuts, cheese and beef jerky. Now, I can’t find any snacks I can eat. So, I am still eating granny smith apples for snacks, which keeps me from going into ketosis.

Can you point me to some ideas that I can purchase or easy to make? I have tried making flax crackers, but they were terrible. Thank you!

  • Been in ketosis for 3 months now. Havent experienced any positive effects. Lost only 8 Ibs, went from 228 to 220. Not giving up yet tho

  • You would love Vibram Five Fingers…they totally freaked me out at first-I thought “No Way could I have toes on my shoes” they are AMAZING for shoeless folks. Thank you for your videos they are helping me soo much and I am hoping to soon get your book…we are just on a super tight budget right now. As in SUPER tight, but I am going to get it soon and am very excited. Thanks Again. Meghan Mengel

  • You provide a ton of great information with a positive and fun attitude.  I just want to say thank you and keep up the GREAT work.

  • Just found Dan’s channel and now watched every single video! So informative and really well presented. Love the fact we finally have an authoritative UK voice in this space. I find Dan so relatable as I’ve been on a similar journey having struggled with my weight pretty much all my live but over the past 3 years I’ve made real strides with my weight and wellbeing losing nearly 70lbs through a combination of low carb, intermittent fasting and exercise. I turn 50 this year and have never felt better. I’m now looking to fine tune my IF protocols and nutrition so this targeted advice is super useful. One question Dan do you offer 1 on 1 coaching? Anyway keep up the great content.

  • I’m insulin resistant and I’ve done atkins many times successfully, but lately when I start (like today) I was so light headed even though I was on a regular eating schedule.  So I broke down and at popcorn…that didn’t bring my sugar up fast enough so I drank lite tea.  HELP me get through this week with not carbs or should I start with a little fruit…but when I do that it doesn’t help curb sugar craving.

  • I’m extremely interested in giving this a shotif a little worried about getting it “right” as a vegetarian. My question is: do you not count calories at all? FX i’m a fiend for oats at breakfast, and the hemp version has nearly 900 cals. So I’m scared to even start it as I’m worried about actually gaining. Thanks!

  • Hi Ally, do u ever get people like friends etc being rude like saying comments about you looking to thin or trying to push u back to a diet that isn’t keto? I noticed people doing that to me when I was doing keto and losing weight and it made me really irritated to not feel supported. I know they probably mean well. What do u respond to them with

  • I’ve been on keto since May 8th 2019,lost 63 pounds,don’t track macros,don’t count calories,eat in a 6 hour window,fast the rest of the time.

  • Hey Leanne, I have been suffering from adrenal fatigue for years. I have tried everything, seen every endocrinologist, gyn, nutritionists… well thing is I think going into nutritional ketosis will be the right thing, although it’s very hard to quit carb addiction… and I’ve been “trying” started in Nov14, Carbs are well under 50g but I now count fat grams to get may macros better balanced and reach 75% fat. This week I am sure hitting 140g of fat, but sadly I have experienced a lot of gut inflammation, do you think this could be a signal of adaptation? Thank you a lot for sharing your work and letting us find a path to healing…

  • Greetings, What brand coffee beans do you use, I know the authur of the bulletproof diet speaks about certain coffee made with toxins and mold in one of his videos. I stop using coffee because I thought it was acid forming and that the caffeine wasn’t good. I will rethink that if I was misinformed. Thank you in advance.

  • On low carbs you miss out on sodium intake a bit, so to avoid feeling flat, try putting a moderate amount of salt on your meals, and also drink more water than you were.

  • Thanks for all the great information!  I’m in my 3rd week and what you’ve described is spot on.  I had to work until almost 2:00 a.m. on my 2nd job, last night, and though there happened to be candy nearby and I was wanting something “sweet”, I got a cold banana and cut it up with some melted Kerrygold butter and a sprinkle of stevia.  Worked like a charm AND I got my potassium ijn I”m on high BP medicine, so have to have potassium each day.  But, I’m down to 1 instead of 2 pills, now!  I’ll be watching:)

  • How about the salty taste? I’m on my third day and I don’t know but it’s one of the changes that I really noticed and it’s bothering me. Even after I brushed my teeth or even if I eat sweets, the salty taste is still there. I’m also noticing some changes in the smell of my sweat but I’m more bothered on this salty taste

  • Dear Dr Dan I am very overweight 74 and diabetic I have been considering trying a low carb diet the American sites are no good because you are not able to get the food here in uk I have done a lot of research and so many contradictions on good and bad foods I like a plain yes or no do you have any advice that would help thank you Linda Birmingham uk.

  • I started keto 5 days ago and am down 3.5 pounds. I couldn’t be happier. My goal is 10 pounds total to lose. My question is… is this a lifestyle that people follow forever? Is this something that you wean yourself off of when you reach your goal? And if you reintroduce carbs, will you gain it all back?

  • hi my name is michelle
ive not caught your name yet i apologize
    i was wondering
how much water do you drink on a particular day?
do you monitor that amount? or just drink when you are thirsty?
i recently started a low carb diet
and sugar is my number one enemy right now
i have about 80 lbs that i would like to lose
mainly to feel better about myself and also to avoid health problems in the future
ive suffered from diarrhea for about 7 years and thought it was a dairy allergy
ive experimented with my foods thinking it was every ting from wheat to dairy to gluten to fat…i could not gain optimal health
    i had no energy
    couldnt sleep
i felt foggy all the time
    grumpy at times and
felt like i had to pull myself from bed
i tried every thing to lose weight and only kept gaining
eventually i was lead to medifast meal replacements and found that i lost nearly 40 lbs with that eating plan
but im too restricted and feel hungry all the time
its low carb high protein and low fat
so im thinking the low fat portion is the culprit of my hunger issues
im gonna try adding healthy fats
    to see if it helps
i have all the 10 things that a high fat diet might be right for me…from one of your other videos…and i am getting closer to maybe healing my body from all the damage birth control and diet has done to it
i want to thank you for being here
    hope to hear from you
and i am subscribing to your video
i also ordered your book and cant wait to read it
    thanks again
    have a blessed day
    michelle

  • I started keto 4 days ago, I work nights so I eat my meals in reverse breakfast is dinner food about 1:30am don’t eat lunch and at about 8:30am after workout in gym is breakfast food before I go to bed at 2pm to be back up at 10pm
lunch is lunch, anyway yesterday after work out my blood sugar was very low started shaking uncomfortable sweating dizzy, feeling faint, so I had to eat some blueberries to bring my blood sugar up which put me at 25 carbs, 5 over what I’m suppose to have, how do I manage my blood sugar doing keto from going to low???

  • Thank you for all of your insightful and informative videos on Keto it definitely makes this process easier Do you think taking the acv tablets are better than the packets? And how often do you drink them?

  • Tip#1, you are absolutely right. Being overweight for many years messes with your head and someone that hasn’t gone through it can’t understand and guide you the same way. I love you. Thanks for this vidéo.

  • Do you think it’s ok after a month of eating keto/if with no cheats to have a night of drinking? I still plan to eat keto just have some shots with no mixers. I don’t want to start all over but I’m not sure how all of that works.

  • I have to say this, I use to be a huge fan of your channel. I loved your wine Wednesdays, and I also loved your videos about murderers both very fun to watch and unique. Recently it seems like the majority of your videos you upload are keto. I’ll get excited because my once favorite YouTuber uploads and 90%of the time it seems like I’m disappointed because what do you know, she uploaded another keto video. Honestly it’s to the point of unsubscribing, maybe a video about keto once every 2 or 3 months or less. Idk in my opinion not everyone is trying to diet and it would be nice if you wouldn’t change your channel to being so much keto.

  • Hey guys! Today’s video is about my first week on the ketogenic diet. To me, the keto diet is basically a high fat diet where you are intentional about counting your “macros”. In this video I chat about my first week on the diet. I talk about my symptoms, keto insomnia, cravings, thoughts on weigh in & measurements, discipline, foods and meals I’m enjoying and more. I picked up “The Keto Diet” by Leanne Vogel (link in description) and I’m learning a lot more about nutrition I’ve been really enjoying it. What are you guys up to health and diet-wise these days? Please share! I’d love to know.

  • Thank you for all of your insightful and informative videos on Keto it definitely makes this process easier Do you think taking the acv tablets are better than the packets? And how often do you drink them?

  • Im 47 years old and am a stage 2 diabetic. I started the keto diet 2 weeks ago but just got into ketosis. I am currently feeling the keto flu. I saw a video that said supplementing your diet with salt can help the head aches and flu like symptoms. I tried it tonight and it really did help. My head stopped pounding withen minutes.

  • I’m in diet keto for one week, n i only have one meal. But idk i alr in ketosis or not? Can someone tell me? Sleep disturbance, yes i have. I dun have nice sleep during this week. Should i eat magnesium pills or not?

  • Hey Ally.. watching you again tonight to stay motivated Have you ever thought about writing a book about your journey with weight loss and sugar and carb addiction…? Your attitude and experience and knowledge I know is invaluable to so many people trying to lose weight… this being because you are so honest and upfront about everything.. Your never judgemental or preachy just encouraging and positive!!!..I’m on keto and have definitely lost weight but decided not to weigh myself this time as I was discouraged before…thanks for your awesome video..xx

  • Love love love this video. First it’s nice to have a short intro and then NOT to be told you have to buy all these special keto items. Thank you!

  • Please do a video on how to count macros and what ate they. What are net carbs and give an example how and what is an average calorie per day.

  • Hi there I have been doing this for 4 weeks now, it’s pretty interesting stuff. I love the videos and the truth you give. Now with all the weigh loss did you have a lot of sagging skin?

  • Hey! I just ran across your videos this morning after deciding to try a ketogenic diet. Thank you so much for your informative videos. • I’ve been on keto almost two weeks and I feel amazing. I was on keto 8 months ago, for 5 weeks and i fell off the wagon. I was so mad and couldn’t get back on.
IM BACK ON AND STAYING FOREVER!!!
I have about 20 pounds to lose. I can’t wait to see my results again that I saw last time I did keto(8 months ago)
Took me five weeks to see even greater results and I’m on week 2 almost. LOVE KETO!!!! Only diet that works wonders for me.

  • Thank you very much for your content. I am preparing for my lifestyle change so that I can lose weight too. I am currently at 138 pounds. I am taking part in event coming up in five months. Being about eighteen to twenty pounds lighter will make this eight day event much easier on me. Your delivery is “down to earth” and very humanistic. I am grateful. Also, I did “subscribe” and of course, I hit the bell.

  • Nice video. You explained all very well. No wonder you’re a teacher, you are a natural presenter. I subscribed for that reason…and also for great content. Congrats on your weightloss journey. You look incredible!

  • ally i been on clean keto for the last 6 weeks. i lost weight the first 2 weeks and it has stoped completely. take mct oil and vitamins.i start to eat from 2pm and stop at 10pm for the last 6 weeks why would i stall help please

  • I have been doing it for only 8 weeks and I have wept with joy nearly every day. I have lost over 30 pounds and am metabolically healthy and thin, but I read that it helped depression, and I have had chronic depression for 5 years. For the first time in my entire life, I’m actually happy. Don’t give up guys.

  • I’m on day 5 and I noticed I wake up tired and want to keep sleeping. I got the dizziness also. I made a gallon of homemade lemon water and that has been helping me with the keto flu.

  • I started Keto just a month ago.Although I love how my food tastes now because of the fat, I still feel a bit guilty when I pour out some extra olive oil or coconut oil on my food.I didn’t lose a lot of weight, just 5 or 6 pounds, but I noticed the improvement on my body, in addition, I feel great, so I’m sticking to it and see what happens. Thanks Leanne for your posts, it’s helping a lot.

  • Love u.u inspire me and taught me so much. Im down 24 lbs and just loving all the benefits. I have failed so many times in my weight loss journey. Not this time!!

  • Awesome video, thank you for the tips. Can you update us on what you’re eating…last I remember you cut out artificial sweeteners, can you do a video talking about how and/or if you feel that has benefitted you? Do you feel deprived? Are you still intermittent fasting. Would love to see what you eat in a day all week. Thanks!!

  • Down 39 almost halfway there. Keto is the best my A1C is 5.4 now and saving my life. I don’t Keto is for everyone. I’m not also not trying to be mean but you are too thin now. You need to eat some carbs now.

  • I love your fun attitude and joy and being truthful u have helped me a lot the last two months being 51 and empty nester I lost forty lbs as I’ve bragged yo everyone then holidays. Came around I did great then Jan feb anniversary of the my mom passing away then this time last year my dad heart attack right in front of me and my daughter while he was playing cards anyways again I’m telling my stuffbut I’m trying to say you have encouraged me a lot cause being so smug I ended up putting 8 lbs back on serves my fat butt right now I’m trying to do many things u suggested and congratulations on being a teacher and thx your freind in Oregon

  • Yes! Thank you!!! I keep explaining that weight loss is an amazing side effect, but side effect nonetheless:) 6 years on it myself and even through a whole lot of bad issue with food addiction and eating disorders indeed, I don’t think I’ll ever step away from it. I really wish my GP was as knowledgeable and open-minded as you are. I have been fighting for months for an OGTT with insulin values… but because my hba1c looks normal they just ignore my reactive hypos, even if I have them without carbs:(

  • Do you think LIPOSUCTION may help insulin resistant to improve? coz fat actually releases harmful oxidants. I do not lose weight even with moderate workout and low carb. and lot of fat in belly makes me look pregnant. My arms and legs are thinner. Insulin fasting level 36.6. A1C5.6. Vit D13. On medication for vitamin D.

  • I’m in maintenance and it has been the hardest part. I never go off the plan, but I struggle not to overeat my calories sometimes. My weight edges up and I have to buckle down. Wish it was as easy as the beginning.

  • Really great video. Love your 3 stages and tips. I’ve been “playing” Keto for almost a year and have lost 40 lbs. I’m pleased with that but am ready to get the rest of this weight off. Your video has come at the perfect time for me. Thank you. I will add that, for me, there seems to have been a 4th stage…. Being satisfied with how much weight I have lost……… As I said, I am now ready to amp it up and go on to another stage. BTW… I am 72 years old and still have 80 lbs to lose.

  • If I may ask does keto cause dry eye. And can it be fixed. I have been experiencing extreme dry eye. I think it’s from the keto. Any advice would help me.

  • I’ve been very successful with the keto diet…but I have a question about your hair. I mean no disrespect, but in your heavier pictures your hair looks really full and your hair now looks thinner..more sparse. Is that because of keto? Did you have a weightloss surgery? Again, I’m genuinely curious I dont mean to come off as rude

  • #1 thing I’d change about my keto journey is staying off reddit and the social media groups at first. There are a lot of helpful people, but there are some serious jerks, as with any big group. I’d avoid that nonsense until I was confident and able to ignore those comments better.

  • How would we know which authentic keto websites are?
I have been keto for 16 days nownot much of weight loss but I have less appetite because of the fat I guess.
When can we start expecting weight lossmost people say, for each person its different but at least a wide estimate of when I can expect some weight loss?

  • What advice would you give someone suffering with Food Aversion like me? Finding it horribly hard to find recipe’s i can try because of my fear of not knowing what a food will do to me. I have had horribly painful IBS that has no specific trigger, and it’s put me into the mentality that things that havnt set me off are ‘safe foods’ and i feel horrible anxiety when faced with trying a new food. It also doesnt help that I am allergic to the Allum family of foods and they’re pretty much everywhere and in every recipe.:(

  • Aloha e Ally! I justed wanted to say mahalo for one word that I needed to hear, which is commitment. I say this because I have always looked at keto as a challenge and struggled, even though I love challenges. My problem, I’ve determined, is that my challenges have an end goal. Commitment, on the other hand, does not have an end goal. For instance, I am committed to my husband, my children, my ‘ohana, my friends, and my students. None of which I see an end. This is the mind shift I needed to succeed! Mahalo nunui no kou mau mana’o!!!

  • Would love to know how you have maintained. What did you do when you hit goal? Were there things you added? Did you have trouble at all?
    Thanks.

  • I was a coffee addict with sugar and cream of course….but just 6 days in I gag thinking of drinking a cup of coffee….I lost my appetite and I am shocked by this….It’s not a good feeling…..I feel sick. I guess it’s the keto flu but it is kind of worrying. My life revolved around food and now I gag just thinking about it. It’s scary.

  • I’ve lost 35 pounds since October 22, 2019 and I’ve stalled lately, but I’m okay with that. The body is smart and knows what to do, I’m just riding the wave…weight loss will start up again soon. Trust the plan. Great video Ally!

  • Hi Tara, just started Keto one week ago and found your channel today. I have lost 7# s but, I feel terrible! Not gonna give up though, gotta get this weight off!

  • Do you have any channels or websites that have meals with macros??? I want a source to have multiple options for meals so that it doesn’t get boring.

  • Hi Ally, loved the video.. I have a question for my cousin who is over weight and wants to try this diet here https://adayinmyshoes.biz/water-hack-melts-62lbs/ along with Keto because she wants to maximize her weight loss. What are you thoughts? Thanks a head of time.

  • How dare you call keto good for dementia prevention, it’s a vascular disease which fills your blood stream with fat, ye I’m sure it’s very helpful.

  • I can’t even believe we’re already halfway through May too! Everyone kind of does keto differently and that’s the beauty of it:) great vid Laura!

  • I disagree I lost over 100 lbs on keto and have been in maintenance for 4 and I talk on all my platforms about my whole self not just keto life! Weight loss, especially maintenance isn’t only about the food there’s a lot of mental and emotional lifestyle changes that need to be made! Most of my content is at @lisakennedyrealtor on Instagram:-) you can do it everyone! Great Video love how you keep things simple!

  • I’ve been on keto since May 8th 2019,lost 63 pounds,don’t track macros,don’t count calories,eat in a 6 hour window,fast the rest of the time.

  • Ally you’re special, i told myself I’m going to follow someone that’s lost a lot of wt like100lbs they know how it’s done, they’ve been there & keeping it off.You are one of my favorite people, you are so pretty& proven it can be doneThank
    you sooooo much……

  • I did keto for 5 weeks, then I started back to work, It was easier just eating crap. The first week I had so much energy and also the dry mouth thing I had. I went into keto flu my 3 week it’s not as hard as people make it out, you will still have the energy to work out and get up and do things, its just like a normal mild flu. I’m starting back on my keto diet again because of the lockdown. The only thing that got me was the food and meals, I have to get used to prepping my meals instead of just eating stuffed chicken with coliflower as rice . Aslo people if your reading this hit the like for these people who are giving you advice, they shouldn’t have 30 odd likes and over 1000 views hit the like.

  • Today was the first day of my Keto diet journey! Thanks for sharing your tips! I’m going to have a hard time giving up sugar.:| LMAO! A little colony of hobo’s! Too funny! New subscriber here! I plan on uploading my weekly progress too. Yay!

  • Just incase anyone is curious, do not consume essential oils! Essential oils are not safe to ingest!.. friends don’t let friends eat essential oils!

  • I’m five days into keto. My stomach has been getting smaller and I’m only hungry one time during the day, sometimes not at all. Youtube keto videos says to eat two meals a day, but after my first meal, I can’t eat. Cravings are gone. I am experiencing signs of keto flu, but my motivation is weight loss (to join the military) and the fact that I know it’ll go away. I used to love sugar, especially chocolate and ice cream and baked goods. Now, I kind of miss them, but I don’t want them. I’m proud of that. I fast until I’m hungry, eat, get bloated, and the next morning, my stomach is down again. I don’t have a scale or measuring tape (couldn’t find one at walmart and my ride there wanted to leave before I could find it) so I’m going by what I see. I mostly want my back fat and double chin to go away. But I know it will sooner or later. Thanks keto

  • I love the Keto Diet. I was first on it in 2018 and lost 42 lbs in 6 weeks. I went off the wagon, so to speak, but recently got back on Keto on July 15, 2020 at 238 lbs. As of August 15, 2020, I weigh 215 lbs. I feel pretty good, but I have not had much appetite and no cravings for a week now. I have to force myself to eat some days, but I eat very little recently. I am working my way down and currently happy with my 23 lbs weight loss. I still have a way to go and my first major goal that I want to accomplish is to get down below 200 lbs. I know I will do it soon. I have faith in myself and pray on it every day.
