Food cravings can happen to all of us. Cravings are one of the many ways your body communicates to you, and using mindful eating, we can uncover why you’re. Doesn’t everyone have that sudden urge of eating a particular food item? Or you say you’re hungry for something special, yes, everyone does.

It is said that 30% of men don’t have food cravings at all. Food cravings are stubborn and oh-so-tempting. Food cravings are stubborn and oh-so-tempting.

Let’s see the science behind how they work and. 6 Common Causes of Food Cravings. Although they may appear to be random and without rhyme or reason, there are quite a few well-supported causes of cravings.

While each individual may experience them differently, many of the reasons for why we’re experiencing cravings can be explained through science. 1. Inadequate Nutrient Intake. Hormonal. Especially for women, a shift in hormones could cause strong food cravings. During different phases of menstruation, women have different nutritional needs that are higher at some points and lower at others.

At the same time, men could also face hormonal shifts due to several factors, including a. Why You’re Craving It: People crave sweets for a couple of reasons. For starters, either your happy hormone levels (serotonin) have dipped, or your stress hormones (cortisol) have risen.

The craving stems out of the fact that carb-laden and sugar-rich foods help increase feel-good hormones. This is why people choose to take L-Glutamine supplements in addition to eating a healthy diet. 3 Reasons You Should Try L-Glutamine to Combat Sugar Cravings. Now that you know what L-Glutamine is and where to find it, we’re going to talk about four science-backed ways you should try L-Glutamine to combat your sugar cravings. 1.

Craving peanut butter could indicate a few things. First, you may be eating a low-fat diet. Your body is trying to signal that you need more high-quality fats. Or it could mean you’re eating a low-carb diet. If it’s fat that you’re lacking try eating more high-quality fats like avocados or almonds.

Emotions like stress and sadness, and depression can cause food cravings. Food seems to ease emotional troubles, reduce stress and anxiety in people. It is suggested that eating carbohydrates under such situations releases the calming hormone, serotonin. Eating sugar and fat-rich foods also seems to reduce the levels of stress hormones.

5. The root cause of sugar cravings is a micronutrient deficiency. The human body is intelligent and gets us to crave foods that contain the nutrient we may be missing.

For example, you may be strongly craving chocolate because you have a magnesium deficiency — chocolate is a.

  • I went from 170 to 120 over the past six months and my god, going keto + IF was the best decision of my life. I’m at a point where exercise isn’t miserable and my wardrobe has really opened up.

And I can lighten up on the tight dedication and cheat when getting drinks or meals with girl friends now.

If not into keto, just focusing into higher protein and less carbs is still a huge deal though.

  • Hello I just found your channel and I’m going to subscribe your channel is amazing i know there are a lot struggling trying to lose weight but can you please do a video on helping to gain weight? I know it’s against what your channel is made for the opposite reason but I’ve been struggling with this for 2 years straight much blessing for you and have a wonderful day ✝️

  • I hate how talking about McDonald’s or seeing a McDonald’s restaurant makes me crave their food. But I know that I always feel bad after eating it. A video about food advertisements and how they make us crave the product would be interesting

  • I love chocolate pudding, but when I don’t buy them, I can not eat them. lol xP Once in a while I buy 1 or 2, but not more…
Hasn’t helped with losing weight yet tho…
When I eat a meal which is high in protein, I always feel sick… I don’t know what to do to prevent that…

  • This study is deeply flawed, in the representation of ‘healthy’ food. There was no image of a well-marbled steak among the healthy foods. Or lobster, or salmon. Or even a good roast turkey. Just plants.

George Diggs, PhD talks about toxins in food plants at AHS 14: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnjX3cZ4q84

Dr. Georgia Ede, MD at AHS 12 presented ‘The Risks and Benefits of Eating Plants’ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YdRBFiBWQZQ

Links to the health benefits of meat, and the fact that real meat is not associated with increased risk of cancer or heart disease could be provided, but viewers of this video can find them for themselves, if they have not already.

  • Health nerd, I have a question I’d Like you to answer in a video.

Can you loose weight by walking?
And what are the benefits of walking?

  • you’re genuinely the only channel i trust on food and eating tips to be healthier because i know you do your research and your content has a lot of value, something i can’t seem to find elsewhere! thank you for doing what you do:-)

  • can you cover the topic of oversleeping! when is sleeping more than 9 hrs. considered bas and unhealthy or just natural, normal ans even necessary for some people. Me, for example. Less than 9 hrs of sleep and I can’t function well

  • No connection between weight loss and exercise??? The reason a good diet makes you lose weight is because it results in less calories, more vitamins and minerals needed to lose weight, but it’s the exercise you do on a regular basis that makes you lose weight…
On another video, this guy says that artificial sweeteners are actually better than real sugar. And that is completely FALSE and should never be said. I am starting to question this channel’s credibility

  • Can’t say I think she edited the video well. She’s talking about how seeing or thinking about food will trigger a response and then has the first like 15 seconds show greasy temptation foods. Like if you’re watching this you probably wanna lose weight and instead of thinking that I’m like dang that burger looked good

  • Weight loss hacks? All you need is a calorie deficit, it’s the only way. High volume low calorie diet and you’re bound to lose weight

  • Well today I was watching your videos and a burger commercial poped up. I made myself a burger for lunch. Made it pretty healthy though.

  • I’m not watching this to specifically loose weight, I’m happy with my weight, I’m watching this since you being a WHOLE lot of good ideas of how to eat much healthier. These healthy habits are so helpful and I’m keeping all of them in mind next time I cook or eat out.

  • The moment when the video stated that 8 hours of sleep is important but it’s already 12 midnight and I can’t sleep because I had an afternoon nap. I now feel anxious.

  • Can we do this tips for staying healthy too? I mean, to have an energy in the time we should do, like in the morning. How to find our windows time?

  • I love chocolate pudding, but when I don’t buy them, I can not eat them. lol xP Once in a while I buy 1 or 2, but not more…
Hasn’t helped with losing weight yet tho…
When I eat a meal which is high in protein, I always feel sick… I don’t know what to do to prevent that…

  • With an estranged sense of object permanence, (adhd), rearranging cupboards can lead to me forgetting that I have half the stuff I do, which is both a blessing while healthier foods are more convenient and within reach (and direct sight) than unhealthy food that I forget is even there.

  • Where can you buy good quality probiotics in Europe? I live in Denmark and the ones you recommend don’t ship to Europe, if anyone maybe could suggest a website, that’d be great:)

  • I’m not watching this to specifically loose weight, I’m happy with my weight, I’m watching this since you being a WHOLE lot of good ideas of how to eat much healthier. These healthy habits are so helpful and I’m keeping all of them in mind next time I cook or eat out.

  • Restrictive diets aren’t good either though. Majority of Americans are still overweight or obese. When you stay you can’t have a food item you are saying something is “off limits”. Is it also proven restricting yourself can trigger binge eating as well. This video is missing a lot and mainly highly dopamine response but someone like Amber or anyone saying things are off limits isn’t healthy either. It has been proven.

  • I’ve been doing something like this for a long time almost 2 years now.
    I read about it and since then I go on a fast from 7 p.m. sometimes 8 p.m. until 2 p.m. sometimes 2:30 p.m. the next day_ which means I eat from 2 p.m. sometimes 2:30 p.m. up to 7 p.m. sometimes 8 p.m. after that I don’t eat anyting until 2 p.m. or 2:30 p.m. the next day.
So that’s a fast of 19 ta 20 hours. And so my eating window is 4 to 5 hours.
so I am eating 4 to 5 hours out of 24 hours each day.
And I’ve been doing real good in my health, and in my studies, and my mind is sharp.
But firstly all of this_ is all Only by the grace of God and His help.
    ❣
I think I should continue doing this I believe it is important though to eat the right things, especially fruits and vegetables_ even if you have to have Frozen fruits and vegetables at times.
And stay away from sugary Foods as much as you can.
And now I’ve Incorporated a glass of green tea each day, or two cups no sugar added, I love the bitter taste of the green tea.⚱

  • I can confirm simple meals are more satisfying. This week I’ve only been eating a bowl of spaghetti, watermelon, and maybe peanuts if I want a snack. It doesn’t hurt that those are some of my favorite foods though.

  • I just found your channel and I’ve been binge watching for 2 days now.. lol glad you made this channel! <3 as a girl who is obsessed with food, i continually gain and lose about 10 pounds every year and it took me awhile before I realized what the food actually does to my appetite/brain. Still figuring things out but these videos are so helpful.

  • I started to eat every two hours since the pandemic started, but now i try to get to my lifestyle before it began. this tricks surely are pretty good. i told my parents to help me limit the junkfood to almost 0. i snack sometimes, but i rather take a fruit than a piece of chocolate. thank you for “spreading the word” when it comes to having an adequate diet.
btw sorry if my english is bad. i’ve only learnt it in school

  • The way you present queues the pleasure receptors in my brain similar to when the teacher used to roll in the TV with Bill Nye The Science Guy videos. This is like the 8th video of yours I’ve watched today! Love your channel. Subscribed!

  • instead of gum I would take a cup of lemon green tea also make a habbit of leaving the table when done eating. family dinners are great but lingering over the food after you feel satisfied can make you take ekstra food or another portion, so that you overeat. so excuse yourself and wait for the others. you could also eat slower, which works very well for me. take small bites and cut small cuts of your food. and crew in the food and really taste it

  • I must say, I feel bad for her. She got so used it, that she has no willpower to give it up.

I don’t say, so okay, she should just give up, but it’s still sad. Some people aren’t as determined as we want them to be.

  • if you can handle spice, I recommend making your food super spicy. I never drink enough water and always eat super fast, spicy food makes me eat 4x slower and drink an extra 60-90 oz during meals.

  • I’ve never managed to diet because I end up over thinking it n stressing myself out, which actually makes me snack more than usual and gain weight the only times my weight has dropped at all was when I paid no attention to what I ate and, unfortunately, I have no idea what I ate daily back then!

  • No chance to do this if youre at work 9 to 5. The only thing you can eat there is a sandwitch. So you can only have proper meals from 6to 7

  • I’m 165 and I’m trying to get to 135, I’ve already lost a couple pounds, but I’m still trying to go down, thank you so much for all of this Information!

  • The whole seeing unhealthy food thing completely correlates with me and money a used to put all my money in a clear jar but I would see it and I would trick myself into thinking I need to buy more but now I put it in a tin I haven’t touched it

  • Your videos are so consistently well-made and informative! I’m a new follower, but I already feel like I’m learning so much. Health is just as much (if not more) mental as it is physical. Excited to continue learning from you!:)

  • Are there any particular fat loss benefits associated with keto? I know you need to be in a caloric deficit to lose weight, but does a keto diet mean you can burn more body fat on a lower caloric deficit than say if 50% of your calories came from carbs?

  • Hey please can you give tips on how to grow height naturally or just give information on how are height grow naturally? Which exercises which includes sport should we do to increase a little height possible naturally?

  • Around 9 minutes in you said that high carbohydrate foods made people feel hunger sooner and more extremely than the high fat group. I… Have the opposite problem. I’m trying to go low carb/keto (not sure if I’ll reach keto cause fruit is just too good to give up) but I find if I eat a high fat or high protein meal, like chicken or hotdogs (unhealthy, I don’t have them anymore very often but it still happens with them, without buns obviously) or even egg based dishes I’ll get intensely hungry after only half an hour, or less, and that hunger doesn’t go away unless I eat something high carb. That is just, completely opposite. Do you know why that might be? Is it just because my body is used to high carb? Or is there some actual reason? Cause it makes it real hard to eat right when the right foods leave you hungry and dizzy as shit:/.

  • Hi, Kiana. I’m loving your videos! Could you do a video about your own story? I’d love to. hear, and see, your own journey. As someone who needs to lose almost 120 pounds, hearing the stories of others is motivational. Thanks!

  • Wow what a wonderful channel we really need content like this, it teaches and helps a lot of people to radically change their distorted view of food

  • For everyone calling this “intermittent fasting”.. wrong. This is called “trf” “time restricted feeding” and that is when it was tested on mice by doctor Satchin Panda now the “f” will be substituted by “e” for “eating”

  • I just saw Cowspiracy on Netflix and was just wondering if you know much about eating plant base food aka vegan diet it talked about how eating vegan is much better for our body and environment.

  • 2:48 This is exactly why i can never have hot pockets in my house. I love hot pockets because they are so tasty, but i end up just binging on them like 4 times a day for every meal because they are SO EASY! like literally! i just take one out of the fridge, throw it in the microwave for 2 minutes. and i’m DONE IT’S TOO EASY! if making a salad was that easy you bet your ass i would be eating them more often. but i have to take out the vegetables, and cut them down to the right size, and then throw them in a bowl with maybe some croutons and some cheese, and add some sort of low calorie vinaigrette, and it’s time consuming so if i’m in a hurry then that’s not something i can have. and it won’t be as tasty. so R.I.P my love for hot pockets if i wan’t to lose weight.

  • I like the information here, at least most of it. The one point I would kind of disagree on is with eating every 5 hours thing. Research has shown that fasting can change the levels of ghrelin found on someone along with the timing of the expected food. So for example, if a person does a water fast for 2-3 days, they will not progressively just get hungrier and hungrier, no instead the hunger usually reaches a point and then completely dies down as your body switches from using glucose as energy to your own body fat. BUT if you eat every 5 hours, your body does not have enough time to lower insulin levels so that you can actually get into the state of ketosis, to burn fat. So that is one of the points I would disagree with on this video, overall I really liked it. I would highly recommend doing a bit more research on fasting and how it can help not only with weight loss but pretty much everything else. Dr. Jason Fung and several others have great videos and studies explaining this. Also please look up the Minnesota Starvation study done several decades ago.
I believe if you do some more research and understanding of fasting, you will see food and weight loss, possibly in a bit different way. And it would be a great new tool in knowledge to help those people that need it if you make a video on it someday. Great work!

  • My window open about 9 or,10 Am and close around 7 PM.,4 PM is too early I will be hungry before my,11 PM bedtime I eat fruit for snacks drink lemon water no sugar morning snack,12 globe grapes afternoon snack one Sunkist Orange loosing 2 lbs a week is slower than I like but I am not stressed out.I am relaxed and staying cool.

  • I did this diet, its about 33 days now… I feel less food crafting, I lost only about 3 kilos so far but my stomach feel so good.. I’ve never feeling bloating again… I hope I can continue this:::)

  • Love how invested you are, and how much knowledge you have gained on the subject. You seem very amazing personality and smart human being, i love ur channel.

One big thing for me keeping my habits on track and keeping my weight somewhat stable is just that preparation you’re talking about. Making it easy.

Yoyoing with my weight has been a problem since early puberty. Yeah sure we’re talking about 20 pounds max here, but I’m a small guy, that 20 pounds is enough to put me on overweight side. That 20 pounds is also EXTREMELY easy to gain. Keeping myself on track is been SO MUCH easier when I figured out around 10 homemade meals I like, which are somewhat easy to make, and I’m always ready to eat, and have ingredients for all of them availeable, of all times. Lentils, canned beans, chickpeas, pasta, rice, tomato sauce, all that basically never gets old. Cherry tomatoes and lettuce survive over week easily, meat can be freezed, carrots and potatoes stay good for easily a month. I can mix and match those and ALWAYS have a meal in less than 20 mins. Also KNOWING that I will grave something sweet from time to time, I always have bananas, clementines etc. If you get extreme chocolate graving, ofc those don’t help, but having that small “something sweet would be nice” -feeling after lunch? Works just great.

And I’m an expert what it comes to “easy solutions”. When I lived alone I had no self control, no motivation to make food for myself etc. It was easier to go and buy something ready every day. But visiting grocery store takes about 20 minutes, but ALSO requires putting clothes on, using money, leaving the house. If I have stuff even SOMEWHAT prepped, I prefer to stay home and use that 20 minutes to make the meal.

It was fun to watch this video and see all the solutions I’ve naturally fallen into, but get them aknowledged, so now I can keep doing them even more ON PURPOSE. Thank you!

  • If you are prepared, you don’t need willpower because you eliminate choice. You eliminate choice, you eliminate the responsibility of freedom, therefore you don’t worry about it. Worrying and tolerating go together. If you worry about something you are going to tolerate it. This doesn’t work long term. So, plan ahead your diet/lifestyle. I add on my food tracker the foods I’ll eat from the previous day. I don’t deviate unless i go out with friends. A sacrifice i make.

  • This morning I was so hungry and there was literally no bad food in my house so I had 1/2 an avocado, peanut butter and a banana, and cucumber salad can confirm it works

  • Ive been doing this life change eating habit for 2 months now…and ive had great results…lost 15 pounds and off blood pressure medicine. No more medicine..!! Yay!
    My eating window is 10am-5pm.
First, I slowly drink 16 oz of room temperature water first thing in the morning (around 7:30 am). Then read, exercise or meditate. Most times i take my first intake of food at 10:30 am….some sort of fruit is my first piece of food that i intake…but then afterwards, i eat whatever i like.

  • Just don’t be a loser!Fight your brain and your body at the same time! They are asholes who get in the way like anybody else.Focus, eat minimally and exercise like a beast EVERY FUCKING DAY!And yeah..when you finally HAVE to eat,eat protein.Protein is your ally!Veggies in small amounts and rarely some fruits,REALLY rarely!

  • Is it safe or healthy to eat a bowl of salad for dinner the ingidents are: lettuce, cabbage, corrot, cucumber, 2 small tomatoes and an egg with no salad dressing just plain.

  • It is nice to get presented with the research that confirms something that we all have thought to be intuitively true that our modern obesity epidemic, along with the associated health problems, is a result of our modern food environment triggering addictive behaviors. While these behaviors might have been advantageous to us, during a time of food scarcity, with the now near ubiquity of hyper-palatable foods, such behavior is maladaptive.

Equipped with such information, it should logically follow that when anyone embarks on a new dietary pattern to lose weight/restore health, the so called “cheat day” is something that should NOT be allowed. Far too often, people “reward” themselves once a week for adhering to their diet, by making allowances for the very foods that created the addictive behaviors which caused them to be sick and obese in the first place. This is what happened to me for over 10 years, where I must have lost and regained the same 50 lbs at least 6 times. This rebound in weight loss happened to me, over and over again, as it has for many dieters, precisely because I would “cheat” on a regular basis as a reward for being “good”. That cheat day, unfortunately, NEVER stays as a single cheat day. Eventually it comes a cheat week, and then a cheat month, and before you know it, you are heavier than when you started.

As Dr. Guyenet so rightly stated, the addictive portion of our brain can forget how alluring the addictive substance is, as long as we refrain from exposing ourselves to that substance for a long time. That is why any attempt at changing ones diet for the better must come with the prescription to not allow for deviations to that style of eating for, AT LEAST, several months. It is only when I came to acknowledge the overwhelming addictive nature of these junk foods, and learned to abstain from them all together, that I was able to lose the weight, and keep it off for years.

Links to the health benefits of meat, and the fact that real meat is not associated with increased risk of cancer or heart disease could be provided, but viewers of this video can find them for themselves, if they have not already.

  • Can you explain more about the last point (adding some carbs once in a while) ؟ because in other videos they don’t recommend it and it would be great if i can eat a high carb cheat meal once in a week or two weeks like a burger or a pizza.

    Thanks a lot

  • That’s the situation in north America, with American products, American people and American studies. I lived in France, in Portugal and Switzerland where I never saw that problematic behavior. So in my opinion I think this is lazy effort from her part to approve in a society and cultural bad habits.

  • Replace unhealthy food with healthier options, even if they are not perfect. Healthier foods will likely create less of a craving. I eat rice ships made out of brown rice.

Really good convenient option is frozen fruit. I eat them frozen and it’s like even better than popsicles or ice cream.

  • I’d like to try this but my work schedule is 12 hour night shift. I don’t know how to figure out what my “diet window” should then be.

  • Wow what a wonderful channel we really need content like this, it teaches and helps a lot of people to radically change their distorted view of food

  • My go to easy quick to have meal is brown rice nd tuna. Or a salad with chicken. I do not keep the junk food in the pantry it’s kept in a draw out of view. At work I stare at junkfood all day yet I don’t want it ( also won’t pay the price for it) nd just eat my lunch I took with me. I can have chips or chocolate next to me but still get up nd grab a salad. I always make sure to have some bagged lettuce carrot cabbage In the fridge to quick eat nd some fruit to. And some chicken. I don’t have cereal much as I don’t always keep milk on hand since it disagrees with me. And bread I hardly ever buy. Sooo. I try my best

  • Idk why I’m here I don’t have a weight problem…the most convenient food in my home right now is cucumber, watermelon and bananas.

  • honestly poverty has “helped” a lot with losing weight… not because I can’t afford enough food it’s just I refuse to buy food that has no value, I feel bad wasting the little money I have on chocolate or chips. And people told me before but correct me if I’m wrong: fast food, take out and convenience food is generally cheaper in america than cooking yourself right? That isn’t the case here. Even mcdonalds is pretty expensive if you buy enough to actally feel satisfied; one mcdonalds menue already covers half of my food budget for an entire week if not more.
so yeah i think being more mindful of your money and how you spend it also helps a lot, not buying snacks in the first place certainly does.

  • It’s definitely her fault. I prefer junk food too, just like most of the other people and yet Im not a fatass. I was a bit overweight for a couple of years eating junk food. Turns out high bp runs in thr family. I’ve been eating low carb diet with calory counting, exercise and lots of protein intake and I lost 7 kgs upto now and will lose another 12. No one can convince me that it’s the food and not her fault. It’s only her fault and as soon as she realizes that she can go without junk food she’ll lose weight. Just read the damn labels.

  • 2:23 the second set of images doesn’t trigger me at all, sorry bro but that processed food were really bad examples; show me fish roe, funky cheese, marrow, liver and fatty meat; I guarantee my mouth will be watering and I’ll be start thinking when I’m gonna have my next meal already

  • Weight loss hacks? All you need is a calorie deficit, it’s the only way. High volume low calorie diet and you’re bound to lose weight

  • Has anyone used the Custokebon Secrets to lost a lot of fat? Simply just do a google search. On there you’ll find an awesome tips about how you can lost lots of weight. Why don’t you give it a shot? perhaps it will work for you too.

  • Idk why but when i eat a candy like oreo etc i have fear of diabetes or something so i drink a lot of water after eat a unhealthy food

  • Wow that might be the most useful video on weight lost and diets i have ever seen. Never saw it on this angle and it was like a wake up call to my food associations (boredom, social, happy, etc.) thank god i also crave good food (it might even be a good fruit or a salad) but it’s still food and i crave it a lot around different occasions.

  • My question is when will the food industry, particularly, junk food companies going to be held responsible for their part in this country’s obesity epidemic? They really are just like drug dealers supplying to junkies as far as I’m concerned. I’ve lost almost 30 pounds and I have another 20-25 to go and I obsess about junk food more than ever despite almost never eating it. That says a lot about the addictive qualities of some of these foods.

  • all good ideas! I have never heard the chewing gum one before which is pretty cool! The need for exercise is pretty understated though! More exercise = faster metabolism (the rate that you burn calories at is increased for around 24hrs after exercise). Also, weight training builds muscle. Muscle has a higher metabolic demand (basically the more muscle you have the more calories you burn!). Im pretty sure these points have been made in other videos on this channel but may be useful to someone new who is perusing the comments section after watching this video:)

  • Awesome.. ayurveda follows this from thousands of years.. after 6 in the evening finish your dinner. Eat when you hungry no concept of breakfast. Lunch and dinner that’s all. lunch between 10 to 12 and diner 4 to 6 pm..

  • I’m grateful for being French because I just realised I never see food adds or billboards in my part of the city or any vending machine.
And apart from kebabs we don’t have that much fast food places
but we have lots of little lunch places (bistros where you can have 3course meals like salad+ cod & ratatouille + chocolate mousse, for like 12€
or hipster/vegan cafés where you can have vegetable pies, soups, Pad Thai, etc..)

Even in stores like Monoprix or Carrefour city, the first food that you see for lunchtime at the entrance are mostly triangle sandwiches, salads, rice salads, falafel wraps, nut dispensers and fruits. If you want junk food you have to search further in the store for the snack section.

I’m also grateful for my mom for cooking everything from scratch since I was little and almost never buying processed food or even already made meals, and never buying sodas outside of events like bd parties, and never letting us go to McDonald’s more than 2x/year as kids.

I’m also grateful for the French education system for teaching us a little bit of nutrition in 6th grade

In a way there’s less merit being healthier here than in the US

  • Hot cheetos are scarily addictive. I don’t have a weight problem because I try and watch what I eat and I exercise daily…I’m 46 and it gets harder when you get older to stay in shape. But hot cheetos. Omg. I won’t even buy then bc i know how addictive they are. They are like Twisties that have crossed to the dark side and developed a Meth habit. Just say no to hot Cheetos.

  • I eat breakfast at 7:00 am then lunch at 2:00 pm. That’s it. Just water the rest of the day. You will loose weight! Eat medium portions or just until you are satisfied and not really full.

  • WOW, that`s what I was doing unknowingly. I`ve got the result well, it really works and also it will keep you very much energetic, that`s the reason when we eat less at night we feel more energentic in the morning. Thanks for the video information.

  • When i was fat back then i was so concerned with my looks and how i turned out.
And back then i was thinking if i could go and exercise and diet at the same time. But the problem is im scared if i cant do it and i tried it but it was so hard. For me when you are fat its a leap of faith its either you choose to die eating foods or to be physically and mentally healthy and that take much effort. But the harder you work the better your results would get and its pretty awesome

  • I watched you on my phone and thought you looked gorgeous, now i’m watching you on my laptop screen and you are BEAUTIFUL!
Love how clear and high yield the information is in your videos.

  • I must say, I feel bad for her. She got so used it, that she has no willpower to give it up.

I don’t say, so okay, she should just give up, but it’s still sad. Some people aren’t as determined as we want them to be.

  • Wow.. this is taught in every Indian home.. its an ancient Indian saying, ‘to have your dinner before sunset’… Now I realize!

  • The video is wrong. This is not a diet, it is an eating protocol called intermittent fasting, and you cannot eat anything you want. You must eat healthy if you want to see results fast.

  • I’ve never managed to diet because I end up over thinking it n stressing myself out, which actually makes me snack more than usual and gain weight the only times my weight has dropped at all was when I paid no attention to what I ate and, unfortunately, I have no idea what I ate daily back then!

  • I did this diet, its about 33 days now… I feel less food crafting, I lost only about 3 kilos so far but my stomach feel so good.. I’ve never feeling bloating again… I hope I can continue this:::)

  • honestly poverty has “helped” a lot with losing weight… not because I can’t afford enough food it’s just I refuse to buy food that has no value, I feel bad wasting the little money I have on chocolate or chips. • When this lady says maintain her bodyweight. She’s not mentioning that the majority of that bodyweight is not essential. Its not muscle or bone or veins and brain meat. Its mostly fat which is simply excess energy.

  • Keto diet uses intermittent fasting and short eating windows along with dumping sugars and carbs. Very helpful to avoid meds altogether or get you off meds if you have T2 diabetes.

  • Well if it so bad Start Heroin and you will loose The Overweight like that! There some real Science not this theorical Pseudo bias. SHES NOT VICTIM AT ALL! Ricky Gervais said it best!
Edit! I know you were um.. fat because you talked without tough love and i can see it on your skin. Unfortunatly not everything can be recovered once you Choose to not care for your body and let it go. I would rather be ex heroin iv user than ex obese.

  • One of the best tutorials yet. I’ll do it for the next quarter and take a real look at the results. I’ve been on the eating every three/four waking hours for years. It has allow me to maintaine my weight, but not at the best weight.

  • Keto diet uses intermittent fasting and short eating windows along with dumping sugars and carbs. Very helpful to avoid meds altogether or get you off meds if you have T2 diabetes.

  • Where can you buy good quality probiotics in Europe? I live in Denmark and the ones you recommend don’t ship to Europe, if anyone maybe could suggest a website, that’d be great:)

  • With an estranged sense of object permanence, (adhd), rearranging cupboards can lead to me forgetting that I have half the stuff I do, which is both a blessing while healthier foods are more convenient and within reach (and direct sight) than unhealthy food that I forget is even there.

  • In india, our ancient tradition has taught this since many years and that too with more insight depth. In many parts of India this is followed on daily basis. Interestingly, someone is getting noble prize for it.

  • Sugar and refined carbohydrates are NOT the same. About half of sugar is fructose. And fructose is processed by the body completely differently from glucose. There is also a significant hedonic difference between these two foods (sugar is much more palatable than complex carbs).

  • This week i eat at 4pm and 7pm, and then fast all the way to 4pm next day. I dont even feel hungry when i take the first meal of the day but i need the calories and protein for my muscles. Its better to not eat, having to think about breakfast and lunch is a hassle.

  • Hey, I watched this video 4 weeks ago today, which is what kick-started my weight loss from “wanting to lose weight” to “losing weight” as well as the 7 tips video. I am very scientifically motivated, I am studying biotech as my high school major, so the evidence both for the methods and the motivation to lose weight that you gave helped immensely. I weighed myself that day, and I was a whopping 233 pounds (and I am only 6 ft tall). Even though it has only been 4 weeks, I am now down to 217 pounds. I work out every day using my homemade gym as well as a stationary bike that I got from my godparents for free when they upgraded theirs. I started by burning 300 calories a day on it, then upping that number by 50-100 each day until I found the right amount, which for me is to burn about 900-1000 calories a day. Thank you so much.

  • I have been a personal trainer and a fitness coach for a while now. But I just can’t believe how many new things have I just learned watching this very well-made video. Respect, truly.

  • The part about grehlin suppressing satiety when one is confronted with a novel food was very eye-opening. Awesome video, awesome advice. Have you heard of the channel shredded sports science? You make very comparable videos to his as in science backed, informative, and entertaining. You’ve got a gem of a channel here!

  • She does not work. So she has plenty of time to prepare and cook healthy food. She doesn’t because she is so lazy. It does not take long to make a healthy stir fry. In her videos I do not see bowls of fresh fruit, hardly any fresh vegetables, it is mostly frozen or packaged food. Most with a high fat and calorie count

  • She needs to do keto. It’s legit like the best sugar detox diet you can do and kills the addiction. But you still gotta be committed and don’t cheat.

  • Your Videos are absolutely amazing! They are so well made abd helpful. Thank you so much for sharing your story on your channel too! That helps me a lot

  • A really helpful trick I used is not having junk food in the house. I lived alone at the time and I had one simple rule: if I wanted junk, I’d have to go out, buy it, and eat it before coming back. This included cookies, chips, etc. This meant that eating junk was usually relegated to nights out and that I stopped snacking on junk when I was busy, which was a major problem of mine. I kept fruits, cucumber and carrot at home to snack at instead.

  • Has anyone used the Custokebon Secrets to lost a lot of fat? Simply just do a google search. On there you’ll find an awesome tips about how you can lost lots of weight. Why don’t you give it a shot? perhaps it will work for you too.

  • Have you done any research on the microbiome? Fat and sugar acclimated microorganisms, my understanding, send signals to the brain to cultivate more of said food.

  • More than Morphine or cocaine did….Bulls**t!. Then you dont know what Morphine or cocaine feels. Its nothing like that. Dont feed that pseudo bs. Try to ask homeles who uses heroin are some junk food better than the heroin(“morphine”) and they would say gtfo here. this is what happens when you think its so Right When its only theorical and not real trying.
Getting fat is your own choice and if you take Antipsychotics poisons etc which destroy your Metabolism LOOK THE INFO FIRST! theres no magic pill which dont cause addiction… those are toxins. Use real medicine like marijuana or Opioids for pain NEVER THOSE bs Antidepressant ssri, snri suicide homicide and massacres inducing neuro poison.

Ps i got some pseudoscience bracelet commercial on this video(surpise) where some woman tells Horrible things what happened herself Which if its a lie shes a so terrible person.

  • Thanks for this advice! I didn’t know about not being distracted while you eat. When I make dinner tonight I am going to try and just focus on my food and see how it goes. I can’t remember a time in my life when I wasn’t distracted while eating

  • The videos forgets to mention that for autophagy to work you need to be so hungry that you feel your stomach gnawing at itself in other words very very hungry. The Body must be induced into a sort of desperation where it realizes or forced into this realization that food isn’t coming and they need to start using the body’s stores, for this to happen the sayim, Arabic for one who is fasting, must keep away from all foods, especially sugar, so no juices or sweets or anything else at all.
Also many people in the beginning of Ramadan experience headaches and other such symptoms which we now know are a signs of detoxification but these symptoms go away as the body is cleansed.
Majority of Muslims do not benefit from this fasting as they have this misconception that Ramadan is only fasting from sun up to sun down, when in reality it is supposed to be total rest for the liver, and to experience hunger as the poor do.
They fast during the day and gorge on food at Iftar (break fast ) time and that too on the worst foods that a fasting person should be eating. Hope Dr Yoshimori’s research convinces them to go back to the simple diet that the prophet Mohammed advised them to take so that they will benefit 100 percent

  • Well today I was watching your videos and a burger commercial poped up. I made myself a burger for lunch. Made it pretty healthy though.

  • This is why when I’m eating clean, a salad is so satisfying and I’m full. But last week I ate an entire bag of chips in a sitting.

Great work!

  • You need to look up Dr Fung and Intermittent fasting and stop over eating simply because it’s been a measly 6 hours. You need to fast for 12 hours minimum for proper body maintenance.

  • Funny thing. I have literally none of the „most likely“ foods in my home and I’m not even trying. I think living in the states is not good for your health, mentally and physically

  • I don’t think she is a good example, you must remember she is earning money eating on camera, if she changes her lifestyle she needs to look for other ways to provide for herself, I don’t believe at all anything she says because she has financial gains from it, it’s not difficult not to eat fast food and junk, but it’s easy to make excuses if you are getting money for it

  • As shown by nephologist Eat often makes you craving better to fast longer than 16 hours per day and avoid all sugar to equilibrate your food addiction and hunger

  • When I was a kid, I would always get jealous of some of my classmates because they always eat mcdonalds for lunch while I got homecooked meals. But now, I’m so glad I got used to homecooked meals rather than fast food. Thanks mom!

  • Oh my God, everybody forget about the cals, sugar and fat…. there is 480 mg of sodium = salt!! in this ‘icecream’… shockwave: only 6 mg is the max per aldult per DAY!! focus on that!!

  • really great insight and tips. Your professionalism and objectivity in approaching this subject are very refreshing. keep up the excellent work!

  • something I’ve started doing is if I overeat, I will drink a ton of green tea and I just end up peeing out all the extra calories. I know that doesn’t make sense. That you can’t just pee out food. But I swear it works. So many times I have eaten way more than I burned but because I drank so much tea the scale still went down.

  • Is it safe or healthy to eat a bowl of salad for dinner the ingidents are: lettuce, cabbage, corrot, cucumber, 2 small tomatoes and an egg with no salad dressing just plain.

  • The video is wrong. This is not a diet, it is an eating protocol called intermittent fasting, and you cannot eat anything you want. You must eat healthy if you want to see results fast.

  • Replace unhealthy food with healthier options, even if they are not perfect. Healthier foods will likely create less of a craving. I eat rice ships made out of brown rice.

Really good convenient option is frozen fruit. I eat them frozen and it’s like even better than popsicles or ice cream.

  • if you can handle spice, I recommend making your food super spicy. I never drink enough water and always eat super fast, spicy food makes me eat 4x slower and drink an extra 60-90 oz during meals.

  • Great video, but got one more hack for you, whenever you feel hungry, drink atleast 32 ounces of water, many times when people think they are hungry, they’re actually dehydrated, and many times drinking water takes away or minimally takes the edge off hunger

  • There are special interests that don’t want you to know that sugar is a drug. I know, I tried cocaine twice and I didn’t get hooked, but for other people cocaine is life. Like sugar is life for others.

  • So I am watching this and taking notes. I started with one, pause and write stuff down, and so on. Is it me or did she skip No. 3? Cause I literally went from writing Hack 2: make healthy food more convenient and then it went into No.4: weigh and track your food.

  • I eat breakfast at 7:00 am then lunch at 2:00 pm. That’s it. Just water the rest of the day. You will loose weight! Eat medium portions or just until you are satisfied and not really full.

  • Your channel is just fantastic!!!! I want to know what you eat as a part of your diet though, maybe you could make a video about that?

  • I started to eat every two hours since the pandemic started, but now i try to get to my lifestyle before it began. this tricks surely are pretty good. i told my parents to help me limit the junkfood to almost 0. i snack sometimes, but i rather take a fruit than a piece of chocolate. thank you for “spreading the word” when it comes to having an adequate diet.
btw sorry if my english is bad. i’ve only learnt it in school

  • you’re genuinely the only channel i trust on food and eating tips to be healthier because i know you do your research and your content has a lot of value, something i can’t seem to find elsewhere! thank you for doing what you do:-)

  • Searched after looking for a video on staying in Keto as I’m currently on day 3 and massively craving a sandwich. Gonna stick to it!

  • This is what I keep telling my mom. Eliminate will power from the equation! I can’t just eat a serving size of oreos, even if I’m aware I’m eating more. I’ll destroy that package. So I don’t buy them because I know I would eat them if they were in my house.

  • She should stay 1 year to my country. There are no McDonald’s Starbucks KFC Burger King etc. You rarely find fast food there. I live in another country where you can find these and I’ve only been to McDonald’s 4 times. I eat 5-7 times a month fast food.

  • That’s my problem right there.
I’ve on the keto diet for a bit over a year. Lost a few pounds here and there but eventually I’ve stopped losing.
I went to get my thyroid tested as I’ve stopped losing and have been told that everything it’s fine.

But I can’t seem to lose any more weight.
    Any advice?

    Thanks

  • There is nothing wrong with her eating a high carb meal. Carbs are low in calorie density. Whole grains are great to lose weight. The problem is that the carbs she’s eating probably have plenty of fat in them. “The Fat you eat is the fat you wear.” Why are most Asians so skinny? After all, they eat tons of rice white rice to be exact. Because carbs don’t make you fat.

  • Can’t say I think she edited the video well. She’s talking about how seeing or thinking about food will trigger a response and then has the first like 15 seconds show greasy temptation foods. Like if you’re watching this you probably wanna lose weight and instead of thinking that I’m like dang that burger looked good

  • I consider this particular diet “Kαbοnοz Ydα” (Google it) to be educational. I must have worked on me mainly because I find myself I get lots of energy day to day and have shed 8 lbs on my very own weight for the past month. This unique tutorial explains you anything about what must be undertaken to accomplish your intention..

  • Regarding the convenience thing to anyone reading this, just get a nice big bowl & fill it with ready-to-eat fruit once a week, and keep it close to the doorway entering your kitchen. It’ll be the first thing you see when you walk in, and it’ll be the easiest/most-convenient snack to have at all times.:) Bananas might be the easiest, because you don’t have to wash them, and it’s not a struggle to peel them, like it is with, say, an orange.

  • She does not work. So she has plenty of time to prepare and cook healthy food. She doesn’t because she is so lazy. It does not take long to make a healthy stir fry. • But it’s also okay to eat fast food every once in a while! I feel like many people are either extreme because they eat too much junk food, or extreme because they eat absolutely no junk food. If you are healthy it’s okay to eat some junk food sometimes, as a little treat, if you want it. Treating yourself is important too, just make sure not to overdo it.

  • I just saw Cowspiracy on Netflix and was just wondering if you know much about eating plant base food aka vegan diet it talked about how eating vegan is much better for our body and environment.

  • When this lady says maintain her bodyweight. She’s not mentioning that the majority of that bodyweight is not essential. Its not muscle or bone or veins and brain meat. Its mostly fat which is simply excess energy.

  • I’m a receptionist and the HR lady always puts a giant bowl of candy on my desk for everyone and it is so irritating. Then they bring u donuts every Thursday. I haven’t had a donut the past couple weeks, but sometimes if I sneak one little candy out of the bowl then I’ll eat like two or three more. This last time though I didn’t eat any, and work is the only place I get junkfood at, which is of course the place I spend at the most. I just found your channel and it is great by the way.

  • I have been watching you for a short period of time. I subscribed after the first one. Your personal journey makes you more relatable. Your research and understanding of how the body and mind work, make you even more relatable to me. I am an Analyst and I seek information for pretty much everything. Your recommendations are excellent. I like the 100 lb video and the writing questions a lot. I have always found writing helps a lot. With all this being said, I am very happy I found your channel. You’re an inspiration to me. I have started my weight loss journey in earnest this time. It’s only been a couple weeks, but I am already seeing a difference in my legs.

  • So now I have stay away from living room cause there is a lot of food there + fridge lol my mom gonna yells at me for not coming out to the living room

Thank you!

  • Great video, but got one more hack for you, whenever you feel hungry, drink atleast 32 ounces of water, many times when people think they are hungry, they’re actually dehydrated, and many times drinking water takes away or minimally takes the edge off hunger

  • almost all other proponents of intermittent fasting say to move your eating window later in the day and to not stop your fast until at least 4.00 p.m.

  • I have an eating disorder (primarily restriction and feeling like absolute shit if I feel like I’ve overeaten, but I don’t clinically binge) and this is my worst fear: becoming so powerless over food that I eventually become obese.

  • So I am watching this and taking notes. I started with one, pause and write stuff down, and so on. Is it me or did she skip No. 3? Cause I literally went from writing Hack 2: make healthy food more convenient and then it went into No.4: weigh and track your food.

  • Hello there, have you considered this diet plan known as the Custokebon Secrets? My cousin says it helps people lost plenty of weight. Is that possible? I also heard many good review about this diet plan. Thoughts?

  • Awesome advice, but for me personally, I definitely disagree with Hack #4.

A year ago I was the guy who thought I couldn’t survive a day if I don’t eat breakfast. When I started a diet and also Intermittent Fasting (16/8), I realised that is not the case. I was full with less calories from day 1. It is easier to eat less calories, and despite haven’t eaten for hours, you learn to ignore your craving because you are on fasting mode in your brain. Now I can go easily 20/4 IF (which is my standard) and I often do a 48 hrs fast.

At least for me… that is my experience, and I definitely recommend people to give it a try, despite if they believe that IF is not fitted to them.

  • almost all other proponents of intermittent fasting say to move your eating window later in the day and to not stop your fast until at least 4.00 p.m.

  • This is why when I’m eating clean, a salad is so satisfying and I’m full. But last week I ate an entire bag of chips in a sitting.

  • That’s the situation in north America, with American products, American people and American studies. I lived in France, in Portugal and Switzerland where I never saw that problematic behavior. So in my opinion I think this is lazy effort from her part to approve in a society and cultural bad habits.

  • Anyone know what is Custokebon Secrets about? I hear many people lost a ton of weight with Custokebon Secrets (just google search it).

  • Wow, I have to smoke some good weed just to want to eat or get groceries and I want to get bigger. Damn I should have her diet for awhile.

  • As shown by nephologist Eat often makes you craving better to fast longer than 16 hours per day and avoid all sugar to equilibrate your food addiction and hunger

  • I can confirm simple meals are more satisfying. This week I’ve only been eating a bowl of spaghetti, watermelon, and maybe peanuts if I want a snack. It doesn’t hurt that those are some of my favorite foods though.

  • Health nerd please answer me this. What if i sleep 6 hours at night but 2 hours after coming from school. It that fine cause i am getting a total of 8 hours but it isn’t at night. So it is okay?

  • My 6 year old brother barley had an eating window he nearly lost his whole appetite
I don’t know how he survived

  • This morning I was so hungry and there was literally no bad food in my house so I had 1/2 an avocado, peanut butter and a banana, and cucumber salad can confirm it works

  • The moment when the video stated that 8 hours of sleep is important but it’s already 12 midnight and I can’t sleep because I had an afternoon nap. I now feel anxious.

  • can you cover the topic of oversleeping! when is sleeping more than 9 hrs. considered bas and unhealthy or just natural, normal ans even necessary for some people. Me, for example. Less than 9 hrs of sleep and I can’t function well

  • Your Videos are absolutely amazing! They are so well made abd helpful. Thank you so much for sharing your story on your channel too! That helps me a lot

  • Oh my God, everybody forget about the cals, sugar and fat…. there is 480 mg of sodium = salt!! in this ‘icecream’… shockwave: only 6 mg is the max per aldult per DAY!! focus on that!!

  • You need to look up Dr Fung and Intermittent fasting and stop over eating simply because it’s been a measly 6 hours. You need to fast for 12 hours minimum for proper body maintenance.

  • Awesome.. ayurveda follows this from thousands of years.. after 6 in the evening finish your dinner. Eat when you hungry no concept of breakfast. Lunch and dinner that’s all. lunch between 10 to 12 and diner 4 to 6 pm..

  • For everyone calling this “intermittent fasting”.. wrong. This is called “trf” “time restricted feeding” and that is when it was tested on mice by doctor Satchin Panda now the “f” will be substituted by “e” for “eating”

  • If you are intermittent fasting this video is pretty much BS. Eating in the evening does not make you tired in the morning and more energized in the evening. Also consuming your carbs later in the day can help with sleep, even if you are on a low carb diet.

  • Can we do this tips for staying healthy too? I mean, to have an energy in the time we should do, like in the morning. How to find our windows time?

  • I watched you on my phone and thought you looked gorgeous, now i’m watching you on my laptop screen and you are BEAUTIFUL!
Love how clear and high yield the information is in your videos.

  • I’m 165 and I’m trying to get to 135, I’ve already lost a couple pounds, but I’m still trying to go down, thank you so much for all of this Information!

  • In india, our ancient tradition has taught this since many years and that too with more insight depth. In many parts of India this is followed on daily basis. Interestingly, someone is getting noble prize for it.

  • WOW, that`s what I was doing unknowingly. I`ve got the result well, it really works and also it will keep you very much energetic, that`s the reason when we eat less at night we feel more energentic in the morning. Thanks for the video information.

  • Well its not like vetetables are really healthy, you cant really absorb the nutrients in them without eating adequate colesterol and saturated fat to convert plant vatimine A into retinol “absorbable vitamine A” might as well just eat some liver as a replacement for most veggies. 1/3rd of the population cant even convert beta carotenes into retinol either so 1/3rd of the population is wasting their time even eating them. Besides if you eat an unfilling salad your not even satiating yourself like fat and protien would. so you will break and eat a whole pizza later anyways.

  • really great insight and tips. Your professionalism and objectivity in approaching this subject are very refreshing. keep up the excellent work!

  • What do you all think? I know food itself is addictive but she doesn’t know when to stop, 30% of us say, ok that burguer was good i want another one, but we know it’s bad for you so you just don’t order it, it’s her fault for not accepting that

  • Have you done any research on the microbiome? Fat and sugar acclimated microorganisms, my understanding, send signals to the brain to cultivate more of said food.

  • The whole seeing unhealthy food thing completely correlates with me and money a used to put all my money in a clear jar but I would see it and I would trick myself into thinking I need to buy more but now I put it in a tin I haven’t touched it

  • Hi, Kiana. I’m loving your videos! Could you do a video about your own story? I’d love to. hear, and see, your own journey. As someone who needs to lose almost 120 pounds, hearing the stories of others is motivational. Thanks!

  • Health nerd please answer me this. What if i sleep 6 hours at night but 2 hours after coming from school. It that fine cause i am getting a total of 8 hours but it isn’t at night. So it is okay?

  • When I was a kid, I would always get jealous of some of my classmates because they always eat mcdonalds for lunch while I got homecooked meals. But now, I’m so glad I got used to homecooked meals rather than fast food. Thanks mom!

  • Hi, so assuming we are doing 16 hour intermittent fasting, then in 16 hour we cannot have Apple cider vineger before sleeping right?. No food or liquid recommended in this 16 hour fasting?

  • This is what I keep telling my mom. Eliminate will power from the equation! I can’t just eat a serving size of oreos, even if I’m aware I’m eating more. I’ll destroy that package. So I don’t buy them because I know I would eat them if they were in my house.

  • Idk why I’m here I don’t have a weight problem…the most convenient food in my home right now is cucumber, watermelon and bananas.

  • Your channel is so helpful for my weight loss journey and just my health in general. It really helps keep my motivation up! Subbed

  • Wow, I have to smoke some good weed just to want to eat or get groceries and I want to get bigger. Damn I should have her diet for awhile.

  • If you are intermittent fasting this video is pretty much BS. Eating in the evening does not make you tired in the morning and more energized in the evening. Also consuming your carbs later in the day can help with sleep, even if you are on a low carb diet.

  • My 6 year old brother barley had an eating window he nearly lost his whole appetite
I don’t know how he survived
    but I have I think a 10 hour window
    That is very weird

  • Does she not do any other dopamine-releasing activities? I never get as excited to eat as she does to eat. Her whole face lights up. I just find other things more rewarding than eating.

  • What do you all think? I know food itself is addictive but she doesn’t know when to stop, 30% of us say, ok that burguer was good i want another one, but we know it’s bad for you so you just don’t order it, it’s her fault for not accepting that

  • Sugar and refined carbohydrates are NOT the same. About half of sugar is fructose. And fructose is processed by the body completely differently from glucose. There is also a significant hedonic difference between these two foods (sugar is much more palatable than complex carbs).

  • Your channel is just fantastic!!!! I want to know what you eat as a part of your diet though, maybe you could make a video about that?
