  • I had heard fasting could boost metabolism and was thinking of trying it. I didn’t know there was a positive or negative effect though depending on whether you short or long fast. Lucky I watched your video or I really could have messed things up. Thanks!

  • Cheers Dr Anthony. I have heard a little about boosting my metabolism but not really understanding what this means, this has really cleared things up for me. Good work.

  • Wow thanks for this awesome video! Dr. Balduzzi covered so many great tips and all fairly simple to follow. I really like green tea and spicy food, and I had no idea these could help speed up my metabolism. I’m definitely going to have these more regularly. thanks!

  • 1. Make sure you are building muscle
    2. Get up be active as much as possible
    3. Do interval training
4.Make sure to exercise your mind
    5.Do not skip meals

  • very useful video about Metabolism, You can find some extra tips using following video. Please check it.

  • Me sitting down on a tuesday night watching theses weight loss videos instead of doing homework:

    The video: excersize ur mind

Me: my FBI agent do be wanting me to do my homework doe

  • I have such a slow metabolism. I probably would exercise. But I have depression and uhh I have no motivation or any energy to actually work out. I’ve also been skipping out on all meals bc I wanna be a stick

  • well i’m 72kg for 1,72cm (5’6” and about 158lb) and i want to go down at least 15kg (33lb) before doing that, I know i can build muscle and stuff and if i gain weigh after that for me its ok, but I still want to go down a little, there’s a way where I still lose weigh and fat kinda doing that? Like, my metabolism and calorie intake would be higher but can i still maintain a defict (eating more than i was before but still a defict)….? Idk but I’ll try, if doesn’t work its just trying another strategy right haha

  • my metabolism isnt even low but idk why i came here i just went to youtube and searched up boost your body for some reason apparently

  • Hi Marisa, I am worried about lifting weights because I don’t want to have any large/bulky muscles. While your muscles look beautiful and toned, i am assuming you are 5,4” or under with an hourglass fugue. It will not look the same on me… a 5’10” tall straight framed woman. I would look unfeminine. Are there any resistance training workouts that don’t cause significant bulking/visible muscle mass increase?

  • Hi there! I like your videos they are helpful and educational! I am an endomorph female! So as you probably know I store a lot of fat on my thighs…. I am trying my best to ‘sculpt’ and ‘tone’ but I want to ask about you advice… You suggest we should all lift HEAVY and do sets of 8-10 reps. I don’t I use moderate weight and I do sets of 15-20 as many endomorph targeted videos suggest this. I feel this is because endomorphs build muscle quickly but shed fat a low slower. So by doing HEAVY weights I will increase the size of the muscles I already have but I will still have the fat layer on top. However, I totally get the science behind lifting heavy. Please help me out! I am so confused! Thanks you

  • Not certain about the points made but,if anyone else wants to discover does metabolic cooking work try Ichordo Fat loss Fixer (do a google search )? Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my buddy got amazing success with it.

  • Some people have more fat cells than others so they gain weight easily and have much difficulty losing it. On the other hand you have people with fewer fat cells and they have a hard time gaining weight as opposed to losing it or maintaining a low bodyweight

  • tbh im scared and i dont like the way i look when i gain weight:( but i think i need to cause im having a hard time to lose it because my metabolism is ‘damage’:(

  • I’m trying to loose weight and I tried to calculate my macros but because I’m all day at online classes and the workout that I do is functional workout without equipment 5x per week 45 min.Do you know how can I calculate my macros?

  • it’s SUCH a fun goal!!!
i don’t mean to be inconsiderate bc i’ve never experienced something as terrible as an ED, but i wanted to try this.
i do track, but when the goal is to eat enough or over calories instead of drastically under, i don’t have this heavy burden of looking at a food and calling it bad. so thank you for the tips

  • I stopped eating spicy foods to lose weight and then thought to boost my metabolism to lose weight and then suggested to eat spicy foods to lose weight

  • Hello, could you please answer I have a question for you, is HIIT and other forms of bodyweight movements considered cardio? Like plyometrics, calisthenics, compound movements, etc?

  • So great! I really appreciate anyone saying to eat more as they weight train rather than to eat less! I have struggled for pretty much 20 years! It’s been so hard for me to believe that for me as a woman I should be eating more even though I know how to eat healthy! It’s hard for me also with the idea of doing less physically but it makes sense and I know that is what the body and mind intuitively wants to do!

  • exercise 3 days a week:
me who exercises 7 times a week and can’t stop because i think i will gain so much weight:

  • I have such a slow metabolism. I probably would exercise. But I have depression and uhh I have no motivation or any energy to actually work out. I’ve also been skipping out on all meals bc I wanna be a stick

  • Just wanted to point out that muscle doesn’t weigh more than fat. 1kg of muscle weighs the same as 1kg of fat. But of course, muscle is more dense than fat.

  • This video helped me so much. I have been trying to lose weight for years and in these past 6 months I’ve done just that. However, I’ve been eating less and less to the point where I’d eat one meal a day and even regret it. This helped so much and gave me so much more confidence to move on and develop new goals.

  • I will really try to take upon these tips, as I’m struggling at the moment. For me, ever since I’ve been doing resistance-endurance training 3x a week(bodypump classes), I’ve noticed how I started gaining weight on the scale (+2-3 kg). Since I was terrified of having to start all over again, I decreased my calorie-intake to as low as 1000-1200 calories/day, and it’s still not helping at all with my weight loss. I’m really confused now as to how I should deal with it. I really want to go back to my original weight (my only indication that I’m thin atm because I’m really blind), but then, I’m really doing progress as my body has become a bit more toned and stronger.

  • I stopped eating spicy foods to lose weight and then thought to boost my metabolism to lose weight and then suggested to eat spicy foods to lose weight

  • I went to a weightloss clinic and was told to eat every 2 hrs. I lost weight but after 2 months I can’t digest food that well. Idk if it’s all the water I had to drink or protein but it feels like I don’t have enough stomach juice to breakdown food

  • Don’t worry about looking bulky either. You are all beautiful no matter what. If you happen to put on muscle strength is sexy to lot’s of us fellas.

  • Thank you so much! I don’t know if you are gonna read my comment but you saved me. Like; I was in that dark place feeling unhappy, really tired, hating and being disgusted by myself and then you appeared, the angel in hell. So thank you again for helping me:))

  • Love your videos. I am currently doing Muay Thai training three times a week as well as intense dancing (both of which are mostly cardio), yoga everyday and 25 minutes of resistance training daily as well.

I am doing so much because It has reduced my anxiety and really made me happy. Also, I do not have a lot of resistance training equipment at home so I have been using water bottles and gallons to build up. And I don’t generally go to gyms so cardio feels more in my comfort zone.

But watching this video I was wondering if I am not overdoing it and slowing my metabolism too much. Anyways… thank you for this, I will consider everything.

  • I eat two meals a day only like Eric Berg says. I eat a meal around 12 pm and then at 5 pm, and never after 7 pm.
My new workout is cardio or hit sometime at 11 pm and then eat, then at 4 pm I do weight workout and then eat.
I do blood type diet eating only and eat mostly how the Asian eats since my blood type are like theirs.

  • 1. Slow down exercise do less cardio (let your body rest)
    2. Strength/weight training
    3. Increase food/calorie intake slowly and stop snacking (3 large meals) eat till full to stop snacking
    4. Shift focus from scale to how you are feeling and weight training progress

  • how do you plan out your large meals? like if you wait 4-6 hours in between eating are you okay with eating only an hour or two before bed?

  • Hi, I came across your video and very inspired by your experiences. Because I am doing exactly the same thing like you did. I was eating 1,200 cal just until last week and has increased to 1,400 cal this week. When I was eating 1,200 cal I hit plateau and could not lose anymore fat. I did not want to eat fewer than 1,200 cal because I just knew it was not right. I also experienced bloated 2-3 times a week because I did not eat enough. I did 5 times hiit bodyweight workout a week at about 40-50 mins each day and I was starting to feel exhausted because I had been doing it for more than 4 months now and honestly I could not see a big difference on my body. My body fat still lingers around 20% til now. I am starting to increase my calories and honestly my weight has also increased, but is not much. I am thinking to start doing weightlift training. My question is when you start adding more food every week and reduced your hiit workout, did you also start weightlifting or did you give your body a rest for a while? How many days do you recommend us to do weightlifting in a week? Like you, I do not want to get bulky and have big muscles, I just want to be leaner and have low body fat %.

  • Build More Muscles
    Take Complete Sleep
    Drink Cold Water
    Eat Multi-Vitamin
    Eat More Protein
    Eat More Spicy
    High Intensity Intervals Training

  • Wise woman. I am increasing my protein today and I do body weight workouts. I am done weighing myself. Thanks for the tip. I have lost 90lbs. You are right with every thing you say. Some days I eat more. I eat two big meals or 3 meals. I am increasing calories and fruit and protein today.

  • tbh im scared and i dont like the way i look when i gain weight:( but i think i need to cause im having a hard time to lose it because my metabolism is ‘damage’:(

  • Disclaimer reverse dieting will not result in fat loss for everybody. You are more likely to gain a little but longterm its the best thing for you so hang steady and next diet around you’ll be pulling from a much deeper well

  • can we do intense ab workouts instead of weight lifting? since i do not have access to that equipment. also does intermittent fasting slow your metabolism?

  • People it’s easy. Get up in the morning and begin your day with a jumpstart workout like simple push-ups, burpies, or yoga session. Start at 20 30 minutes. Wait a couple hours and eat something healthy like fruit and protein, however you can get it. A few hours later have a real meal with some carbs, to prep you for a proper run out workout. Refuel with smoothie or whatever is light enough to stuff you. Last eat a good dinner and don’t over do it. B people get caught up eating past their fill. A good stretch before sleep will help with a proper nights sleep. Sleep is important for recovery and if course rest. Rinse and repeat. Start slow, go harder the days you feel up to it, but never over do it until you’re adjusted to your routine. Routine is also important, run some days or get cardio through intense yoga, workout other days with or without weights, and remember to eat. Drink lots of water. Give it thirty days, your energy levels will explode and you’ll feel better about yourself. I also suggest Win Hof breathing once a day, preferably in the morning before meal and exercise. Cold shower afterwards and start your day right! Good luck y’all.

  • Good advice. Eating 6 meals a day when I was training for bikini competing caused me to just want to eat all the time. I now eat intuitively and have a decent sized meal that actually fills me up and stops me snacking. X

  • This is definitely very helpful and I think muscle mass does play a huge role and how much calories you burn I am still a little bit overweight but I’ve also been putting on a little bit of muscle and I think that’s been helping me lose more weight combined with a more active job that I have now which I work in a very hard warehouse job like I’m eating 2000 calories more than is recommended for my body weight and that’s at the highest activity level than that calculator had I’m eating about 4000 to 5000 calories a day I’m also doing the ketogenic diet and I’m still losing some weight at least eight pounds a month or more eating this amount of calories which according to the calculator I used I should be gaining weight that’s why I don’t depend on these calculators they don’t factor in a lot of things like your lean body mass and how active you actually are

  • Guys are so gross your commercial is gross vomit puke naked chest weird guy go stand in the mirror I look and talk to your self you’re bogged Boggs Bob

  • I love your channel so much! I feel everything u said is legit me. Like my body type is just like what yours used to be! I love your channel

  • Me sitting down on a tuesday night watching theses weight loss videos instead of doing homework:

    The video: excersize ur mind

Me: my FBI agent do be wanting me to do my homework doe

  • I feel like men in fitness have had this figured out for so long! For me, it’s hard to wrap my head around how less cardio and more food could possible lead to the body I want. We’re taught to be so scared of food! Muscles take calories to survive! Work your muscles ladies!!!

  • The only problem with drinking cold water all the time is it can dehydrated you.. your body needs to heat the water up to absorb it.. so drink room temperature water as well

  • This was great. Major focus on killing the weights, cardio to a MINIMUM and enjoying some damn food. Been a big Change for me these last few weeks. But I was doing so much restriction and soooooo much cardio and resultant terrible binges. Something HAD to change. Shifting the focus, like you discussed, is my biggest challenge but just now I’m in a better place than I was. Thanks for sharing this love.

  • I’m exactly the weight i should be for my hight, age, etc. I don’t over exercise. I eat well (entirely plant base vegan). In an average day I consume between 5,000-6,000 calories. It’s not about calories. It’s about where said calories come from. You eat garbage and consume less calories than recommended you’ll still look andfeel horrible. I’m 41, still get asked for ID on a regular basis. I don’t look young for my age. Everyone else looks old for their age. Plant based for 28 years.

If you put shit in, you get shit out!

I mean hell… 60% of north america is now obese. They used to say the wall for women hit at 35, then they said 30. Now it’s 27-28.

Personally speaking… unless a woman is actually really and truly taking care of her self I don’t even consider dating women older than 27.

No healthy woman or man in thwir right mind would find someone interesting relationship wise if in all likelihood they’re going to die 20 years before you do. However… that’s the reality of the time we live in. If I date a 20 year old woman that was not plant based and didn’t tale care of her self.. in all likelihood I’ll still outlive her by at very least 10-20 years and that’s underestimating it.

  • I will really try to take upon these tips, as I’m struggling at the moment. • Excellent video content! Apologies for chiming in, I would appreciate your opinion. Have you heard about Dinanlinson Trained Body Approach (google it)? It is a great one off guide for learning how to control your metabolism to lose weight without the normal expense. Ive heard some decent things about it and my friend Sam got cool results with it.

  • Appreciate Video! Forgive me for chiming in, I would love your initial thoughts. Have you considered Dinanlinson Trained Body Approach (should be on google have a look)? It is a smashing one of a kind product for learning how to control your metabolism to lose weight minus the hard work. Ive heard some great things about it and my cousin at last got great success with it.

  • I used to think I had a slow metabolism. I then thought to search up how many calories of food I was eating. I got around 2500 which is a good amount for me. Then I searched up my liquid calories and it came out to 2000 calories per day. I stopped drinking these and switched to water and have lost around 2 kg in a week. I haven’t changed any other aspects of my lifestyle

  • hah… funny i just gave this a thought so basicly your belly is like big engine and when you are eating healthy your belly goes like FUUUUUUCKING HELLL RICHARD where is this -food ( fruits ) coming from and then it things fuck me i need to burn these bitches down because there is more about to come so you eat healthy and you are not getting fat in your body the fat is only exiting your body because your belly is working 247 but if you dont eat at all your belly goes like ” you know what richard it sure is quiet in here well fuck i quess i dont need to work then witch means the extra energy turns in to fat isnt it weird you get slim by eating ❤️

  • Yes, I too am guilty of jumping from diet plan to others as well, I think that I must have tested every fat reduction system that was available, however eventually not one of them helped me to reduce and maintain the weight off. I ended up trying for the very last time using the Custokebon Secrets mainly because my friend who told me unbelivable things about it and so far to date I’ve successfully dropped 18 lbs in 4 weeks!

  • very useful video about Metabolism, You can find some extra tips using following video. Please check it.

    https://youtu.be/uX4qiRf4UQg

  • Appreciate Video clip! Sorry for butting in, I am interested in your thoughts. Have you researched Parlandealey Boosting Metabolism Process (search on google)? It is an awesome one off product for learning how to reprogram metabolism to burn more fat minus the headache. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my close friend Aubrey after many years got astronomical success with it.

  • HIIT CARDIO is Overrated. The afterburner effect only burns 30 CALORIES! // You’re better off doing regular cardio and burn REAL calories just for doing 10 extra minutes of moderate steady state burning extra COUPLE HUNDRED CALORIES. That you actually KNOW what you burned instead of GUESSING “oh I burned 900 extra calories from doing HIIT ”

  • Metabolism does not affect your weight loss or weight gain, so stop eating spicy foods and taking x y z pills and put down the fork

  • Minute 1: „everyone says you need to move more which is obviously wrong!!“ Minute 6: “you need to do more sports to speed up your metabolism!“

  • be careful with 6. you have to eat a ton of chilis to reap the capsaicin benefit, problem is all that spice causes indigestion issues

  • Just a question regarding reverse dieting you have said to try increasing by around 50cal per week but it’s not clear if you mean 50cal extra daily or 50cal extra total for the week. I checked questions on your reverse dieting video in the link above but there are conflicting answers when this was asked before (one you said to increase 50cal on one day each week and another you said to do (for example) 1900cal/day week one, 1950cal/day week two, etc.). Thank you so much for all your informative videos, much appreciated:)

  • What if I can’t buy any spices or multivitamins (struggling with money) sorry for asking I know there’s probably not, sorry for wasting ur time

  • Hi alpha please clarify. In your June 17, 2019 video “5 Tricks to Burn More Fat While you sleep” at ( 5:20) you said a study by Wharton indicated for every 10 lbs of muscle a body can burn 50 extra calories a day at rest. Yet, in this video ( 2:20) you say for every 1 lb of muscle can burn between 30-50 calories a day….which numbers are correct?? Thanks.

  • Bother Alpha, Can be possible to boost metabolism by Running+jogging+Pushups+squats+Jumping jacks 4-5 days a week? Are these intensive excersies also helps boost? Please tell me brother.

  • garlic boosts your metabolism and improves your overall athletic performance. It’s a performance-enhancer. I fail to see how you missed out on that one.

  • Im at this point righ now.
I was eating like 900kcal, and i look like just bones. My parents are worried, my body was asked for rest, and more food, since my stomach are always rumbling.
Now i am at this point, eating 1,200kcal, a little bit more… but then i realized that i was back to worrying a lot about possible weight and fat gain.
So i searched for this video to continue trying increase my metabolism.
It is sooo hard not doing my hiit sessions avery day, and eat more carbs, cuz i dont wanna gain fat, but i need to, for my body and mental healthier.

  • watching this after sleeping only two hours last night (from 6-8) I had a midterm this morning. sigh. I’ll try to stay up until nighttime. That being said, I’m pretty sure I got an A

  • As expert, I believe Custokebon Secrets can be great way to lost crazy amounts of weight. Why not give it a chance? maybe it is going to work for you too.

  • Everybody wants a faster metabolism, but I never knew there was much you could do about it. I thought it was determined at birth. Now I know the truth!

  • And none of us is interested in working out,we all are unfit and have bellys hanging on us, nothing we got to do with dis video. Just randomly came here

  • I’ve really been missing my lifting during this lockdown:( Definitely working on finding more ways to enjoy resistance training outside of the gym enviornment!
This is kind of random but thanks for adding the questions answered in the bio!

  • I hear many people keep on speaking about Episoketren System. But Im uncertain if it’s good. Have you ever tried this popular training course?

  • How can we speed up our metabolism while in quarentine? Gyms are probably not going to open in months and my sleep schedule is really fucked up because i’m not tired. I do home workouts but my body is used to lift weights and I feel that i’m going to lose muscle… I lowered my calories a little bit because i’m not as active but now i’m scared after hearing this

  • Wow! Everything you are saying totally resonates with me! Definitely have a similar fitness journey as you and have recently been feeling like what I need to do is focus on sleep and decreasing my stress also eating more wholesomely vs. low cal processed foods. It feels SO good to relate to someone else, thanks for sharing girl! ☺️

  • Thank you for this video, it really explains things well. I have one question, given way you have said about calories in/calories out why are you still tracking? If it is sooo much more complex why track? Xxx

  • One truth! Not all but most of the negative comments below from people who feels this babe stunningly beautiful and are jealous of..

  • I honestly don’t understand why I am seeing so much hate in the comments.Personally,I felt the video was rather helpful and her body language was pretty engaging and uplifting. It is sad to see people prefer the straight faced talkers. You go Sapna! I am glad and grateful you posted this.Forget the haters.

  • Please try to speak in Hindi also. I liked your video, yet I will not subscribe to your channel, because you are only speaking English, which many people still do not know properly

  • Correct me if I’m wrong… But did she just contradict herself regarding cardio? She first said that excess cardio can be bad because protein burning… And immediately said after that to do cardio and less weight training.

  • I absolutely love this channel. Uninformed youtubers usually just tell you to eat some weird plant or tea and don’t give that much information, but you do. Thank you so much!

  • This video kinda discouraged me. I actually like to run and it’s my main form of exercise right now. I usually run for 40 minutes and then do 20 minutes stretching and 20-30 minutes of arms, back or abs if my muscles aren’t sore. Now I am feeling like I am doing this all wrong, but this is really working for me mentally so I honestly don’t think I could or want to spend 60 minutes lifting weights. I am so confused on what to do. I have lost 13 pounds in 6 weeks doing this but I am scared my metabolism is ruined now so I will just gain it back.

  • And none of us is interested in working out,we all are unfit and have bellys hanging on us, nothing we got to do with dis video. Just randomly came here

  • @MissFitAndNerdy might be a stupid question, but if resistance training (lifting) is helping speed up one’s metabolism in opposition to cardio training, what is the role of interval training and tabata training? Is this going to work for or against an efficient metabolism?
Also I really like your content and your vibrant personality, full of energy: ) Cheers from France

  • When i eat the calories Im supposed to be intaking I gain more weight. And I do cardio and weight lifting….. and I eat healthy food

  • Honestly, it’s a lot to do with genes and intense activities you did as a child (5-10yrs old) to build your muscle structure like swimming or gymnastics, they tend to stay for life. Some ppl genetically store more fat than muscle (like people whose ancestors lived in cold climates to survive winters). Calorie counting will help very little, you will always have to work out to maintain weight loss, you will never just be slim, unfortunately, you missed that childhood window.

  • 1-Gain muscles
    2-Workouts like cardio
    3-Include healthy protein sources
    4-Take chilli, paper, ginger
Avoid crash diets, intensive workouts because it burns your muscles

  • Alpha: “spicy foods increase metabolism, but only if you eat a lot” Asians and Hispanics: “is that supposed to be hard?”

  • Do you think taking bcaas while losing weight is a good idea. I read that it keeps your muscle mass, so therefore wouldn’t keeping that muscle improve fat loss in my weightloss journey?

  • I have been struggling with anorexia for the last 7 years. Went from 38kg up to 49kg. But I still struggle with calories. I workout 5 times a week and eat healthy and try my best to eat enough calories but it seems like my stomach holds all the fat and doesn’t want to lose it. If I under eat it stays flat but as soon as I go on 0 calories in vs out or try to add calories to build more muscles it looks bigger and bigger. I’m so afraid to add even more calories as it triggers my anorexia and I start under eating again. =(

  • Hi. I’ve been going through a plateau for a very long time now (months). I have been eating around 1200-1400 cal a day for about 10 months. I do not know how to start increasing calories properly. My goal is to simply lose 5-10 pounds (mainly fat). I am feeling very sad, angry, frustrated. What can I do?:/

  • You’re research is close to 20 years old. Evidence based research should be 10 years or less, with the best research being 5 years.

  • +
MissFitAndNerdy Do you know the thermic effect of food.. or the percentage increase of energy expenditure of food with high fiber content?.. I mean something like vegetables rich in Fibre? (Broccoli, spinach, artichoke, etc. / not necessarily grains or bread). It would be interesting to know. I googled it and found several studies but non that mentioned fibre in specific, all where fats, carbohydrates and protein as you mentioned on the video. Hope you see the question, thanks!!

  • Sister u said to lift weights for fast metabolism and still seconds before u mentioned that increasing metabolism without any effort!?.. I’m asking because one of my friend never works out, eat more and rest more still manages to stay slim but how?

  • i would like if you would do a video going into detail on STRETCHING (dynamic and static) and the benefits(flexibility, range of motion, posture, muscle blood flow, physical performance, injury prevention, stress release etc) and myths on them.

  • i have never really understood whether DIT is factored into calorie counts. for example 20g of protein contains 80 kcal. Does that mean 80 net calories or net 64 kcal.

  • 90 % of women stopped watching your video when you said you gained six kilos of muscle if that’s not getting bulkier I don’t know what is. you’re genetically gifted to gain muscle and young —lots of people cannot gain 13+ pounds of muscle in their wildest dreams

  • I started to listen to you I forgot what video it was but you said something about slowly upping calories after strict calorie, every week I’m gonna up my calories by 25 calories I’m already one week in and I lost more centimeters in a week than I have in a while I also exercised less anyone who is scared of upping your calories don’t be scarred and TRY IT OUT!!

  • Great videos. I’ve watched a ton of them lately. It’s helping me stay motivated a year after starting working out and eating clean.

  • I was literally googling like crazy yesterday why I plateaued on my weightloss and then I saw this video! I only need to lose around 20 more pounds and my body is FIGHTING it.

  • I am someone who definitely has a slow metabolism. I find it so hard to shed weight. Often low energy and the only diet I find that helps significantly is keto… Any tips?

  • Do you have tips for soreness? I drink a ton of water and eat a decent diet but I feel like I tire so quickly. Do I need to take some other supplements?

  • Well, cardio is a tool you can use, cause getting really lean you cant cut calories forever. Not to mention that once you get used to it, it is an even better tool at keeping your BF percentage low. I believe in eating right, strenght and cardio training. The holy trinity 😉

  • Thanks for this! My husband and I disagreed over eating more to lose weight, turns out, he was right. He told me to eat a small meal every two hours and take a break from the gym. (I go about 6 days a week) I told him there was no way that would work and I would absolutely gain weight. Instead, I’m back to having a flat stomach, but I’m eating more. I only eat when I’m hungry, and I’ll have a small meal. I focus more of weight training as well. I do about 30 minutes of cardio at the gym and then the rest is lifting. Can’t believe this worked. I am so used to restricting calories and increasing cardio, so when I started to gain weight instead of lose it I was panicking.

  • Well explained. You’re talented in explain very complex biological functions! Love your message ❤
Have you ever thought about giving lectures? I trust you, because I’ve rarely heard a woman talk so confidently about a topic. In addition, you recognize mistakes in the logical thinking of people and break things down very understandably. Amazing!!
You have exactly the same opinion as i have been trying to explain to people around me for years and i agree with you 100% in your statements. Please keep up the high quality content! ❤

  • Would love to hear you speak about Leptin resistance as well. I think it’s much more common than people think and a huge part of fat loss. Great video btw! ❤

  • My metabolism is so ruined after years of suffering from eating disorders.. and even if I’ve recovered fully since about 5 years my metabolism is still not working well

  • Got this ad before your video https://jawzrsize.com/pages/level-1-beginner-sales-page?gclid=CjwKCAjwkPX0BRBKEiwA7THxiLQb01zSqE0xTVX8DozOz43orI2pXb7QBe1Z1PgSBAC4JnuIaZKUPRoCS0YQAvD_BwE

    Thought it was very funny

  • Literally my metabolism is really slow after working out or playing field hockey… like my belly gets all blown up after playing hockey or smt

  • Yes please do a complete journey video as it will help a lot of us. These patches actually got me a bit confused so I would love a complete one and your tips are very helpful keep up the good work and thanks.

  • Hay I love watching your videos you are my fave! my life changed when i learned about getting a good metabolism notably by switching cardio for strength training. where do you learn all what you know?

  • My brother and I have the same size of muscles same type of body but he looks more good than me cuz he’s more lean but he eats fvcking a lot. Yes a lot like 5-6 large size cup of rice every meal. Not to mention that he fuckin eat what food he sees!

  • FALSE! Do not skip meals? This video is RUBBISH!
DO SKIP meals! Go intermittent fasting or even better OMAD (One Meal A Day). Starving mode is a myth. Frequent eating prevents fat loss.
Go and watch Dr. Berg intermittent fasting/ OMAD

  • I have a question, I am currently in recover from an eating disorder and I have been struggling to follow a meal plan. I was wondering if the best thing for me to do would be to do a reverse diet to slowly increase the amount of calories I eat instead of trying to shove them all in at once. Thanks in advance!

  • Not eating enough or eating too much of bad food like sugar, or high carbohydrates is no good. I agree with the necessity of exercising and making muscles is good. I used to work standing and walking most of the day. I also used to make core muscles strenght each day. I kept my weight for something like 3 years. Then I started introducing sweet stuff and more carbohydrates. I started gaining weight and when I left that job that was the culprit to the problem. Here I’m with 30 pounds more than the weight I had when I started working there 6 years ago. Definitely muscles are good and exercise but remember,, you never will be able to do enough exercse to burn what you are able to overeat. I’m trying to get rid oncve again from the bad eating habits which are so easy to get back and the loss of self dedication to make the exercises you need to do. I’m persuaded the day I will start again eating right and exercising I will start loosing weight even if I have a slow metabolism. Good luck.

  • From the viewpoint of evolutionary fitness, a slow metabolism is advantageous. You should aim for the highest healthy ( and thus optimal ) body fat percentage possible.
Which for men would be 18-19ish % and for women around 32% and a functional amount of muscle mass ( being able to pulland push your bodyweight effortlessly.

  • You dont know how happy I am that you posted this because I really need help!

If you see this then Can you tell me what I’m doing wrong? I am currently doing a reverse diet after losing weight and I have already gained 2 kilos from it even though I am not up to maintenance. I am lifting heavy and only increasing calories by 20 every week so I am going slow and steady. I dont understand what I’m doing wrong and I’m scared my metabolism is screwed even though it’s my first ever cut

  • I almost requested this video on your last upload but just went back to watch your old videos. You don’t know how perfect the timing is!!!

  • Such sound advice, and nice to hear things I already know reiterated! Ps. The advice you gave me in the comments of the Lose Fat & Build Muscle video was very helpful, loving the macro averager tool!!

  • Hi Marisa,
I had a question about reverse dieting:
Say you plan to add 50 calories per week to daily intake, can that be done as a daily thing? I.e monday 1200 calories, tuesday 1210, Wednesday 1220 etc.. and just be as effective? If not better ‍♀️‍♀️
    Thanks!

  • I agree to all of them, but one. I love to do intermediate fasting, it helps with calorie intake, and control. It helps me to manage my overall net calories of the whole day.

  • The quickest way I’ve found to build that kind of athletic looking muscularity in your arms is with a 5 and a half minute routine you stick onto the end of your workout.

Let me know how it works for you,

  • Yes, I too am guilty of jumping from diet plan to others as well, I think that I must have tested every fat reduction system that was available, however eventually not one of them helped me to reduce and maintain the weight off. I ended up trying for the very last time using the Custokebon Secrets mainly because my friend who told me unbelivable things about it and so far to date I’ve successfully dropped 18 lbs in 4 weeks!

  • Wow thanks for this awesome video! Dr. Balduzzi covered so many great tips and all fairly simple to follow. I really like green tea and spicy food, and I had no idea these could help speed up my metabolism. I’m definitely going to have these more regularly. thanks!

  • Wait drink water before your meal? But that makes you digest the food much slower by diluting your stomach acid which you said in a previous video slower digestion means more weight gain

  • HIIT is not 40/45 mins but 10-20 mins. If you are going all out for 20-30 seconds and increasing the intensity with each interval, no way can you do that for 40-45 mins. If you can go 40+ mins, you aren’t doing it as hard as you should or at your max with increasing intensity as you are suppose to.

  • how do you plan out your large meals? like if you wait 4-6 hours in between eating are you okay with eating only an hour or two before bed?

  • well i’m 72kg for 1,72cm (5’6” and about 158lb) and i want to go down at least 15kg (33lb) before doing that, I know i can build muscle and stuff and if i gain weigh after that for me its ok, but I still want to go down a little, there’s a way where I still lose weigh and fat kinda doing that? Like, my metabolism and calorie intake would be higher but can i still maintain a defict (eating more than i was before but still a defict)….? Idk but I’ll try, if doesn’t work its just trying another strategy right haha

  • I agree with everything apart from you H.I.I.T advice because most people watching this do not have the ability or sustained levels of fitness for it to be effective.

  • Hallo Gravity training Zone,

Still want to lose weight so i am exercising but more slowly, i cant weight train because I dont have a gym, but hopefully very soon.

  • I absolutely love this advice. For a long time I was losing a lot of weight but my problem was that I had to keep eating lower and lower calories to maintain it. And since quarantine I have gained 20 pounds back but instead of going on keto or keto vegan or Rob vegan or a short term diet I am working very hard to build muscle. Because I noticed thatI already eat over my calories because I have gained weight back so now I am using those extra calories to build muscle I’m literally trying to even out my metabolism so I have more muscle that will eat away the fat. I do not allow myself to do cardio I focus solely on weightlifting.

  • Of course all those points in trying to get more metabolism and losing fat are critical and complex. It’s not like a linear function. I definitely feel more energized after lifting. Cardio is definitely good if you haven’t exercised in a long time but for adding muscle it is not good. Lately there have been workouts that I have done which are mostly fat burning since the Fitbit app you can add workouts on there and it tells you what most of your workout is in which zone.

  • Personally I believe you are in a caloric surplus which is great for gaining muscle mass but you already had a very nice figure in your thumbnail before picture. I think for someone that is a little chubbier and trying to lose weight it wouldn’t be ideal for them to eat that much.. calories do add up very fast and they won’t see result. Maybe they should be in a caloric deficit first, shred the fat first then once they are at a comfortable weight they can get to a caloric surplus and incorporate weight training to really gain muscles because I don’t believe your ideology would apply to overweight people. On this last note I do agree that 1200 calories is way to little for anybody.

  • What if you cant train. I sprained my my foot how can i boost my metablism. I am already eating only protein in my meals and doing yoga to stress out. Please help

  • @Jeska I have two and they are 2 years apart(1&3) they are terrible sleepers and I am trying so hard to get back to my pre baby weight as well….but lifting with dumbells and if I dont have time to execute that I do hiit with bodyweight exercises and bands. In jan I started the cliche get into shape goal but with long term thoughts in mind a d so far i am down from 195 to 182 but in fat i believe that number is higher cause I’ve put on some muscle. Hope that inspires you!

  • Just wanted to point out that muscle doesn’t weigh more than fat. 1kg of muscle weighs the same as 1kg of fat. But of course, muscle is more dense than fat.

  • Good advice. Eating 6 meals a day when I was training for bikini competing caused me to just want to eat all the time. I now eat intuitively and have a decent sized meal that actually fills me up and stops me snacking. X

  • lol i got tu eat up to 800 cals, meaning restrict and binge, then got up to 1000 but still felt tired. I am now eating 1200 but i am very petite and very young so that’s more or less okay. I am focusing on getting my period back first and fixing my digestion. Still want to lose weight so i am exercising but more slowly, i cant weight train because I dont have a gym, but hopefully very soon.

  • Hello
I am dieting for 6 weeks now i ate the first 3 weeks 800 kcal and then 600kcal or less till now and i lost 4kg and now i am not losing any weight my metabolism is so so low and i dont know what to do when i eat more i will gain weight:|
Can you please help me i have no idea what to do i cant go to the gym bc of the virus….
    I am waiting for answer:)

  • 1. Slow down exercise do less cardio (let your body rest)
    2. Strength/weight training
    3. Increase food/calorie intake slowly and stop snacking (3 large meals) eat till full to stop snacking
    4. Shift focus from scale to how you are feeling and weight training progress

  • you aren’t getting the love you deserve… like the no. of views.btw, i eat soya chunks as protein daily… is that ok or should i turn to another protein source to get equal amino acids

  • I agree to all of them, but one. I love to do intermediate fasting, it helps with calorie intake, and control. It helps me to manage my overall net calories of the whole day.

  • I run about 25-30 mile a week with one tempo and one HIIT run in that week. I’ve ran several marathons and mini marathons, and I did cross country and track in high school. I also strength training, but I’m worried the cardio I’m doing is slowing me down. I’ve been stuck at 1000-1100 calories, and when I increase I just gain weight. Should I stop the cardio?

  • Disclaimer reverse dieting will not result in fat loss for everybody. You are more likely to gain a little but longterm its the best thing for you so hang steady and next diet around you’ll be pulling from a much deeper well

  • can we do intense ab workouts instead of weight lifting? since i do not have access to that equipment. also does intermittent fasting slow your metabolism?

  • The quickest way I’ve found to build that kind of athletic looking muscularity in your arms is with a 5 and a half minute routine you stick onto the end of your workout.

Let me know how it works for you,
    @t

  • This video helped me so much. I have been trying to lose weight for years and in these past 6 months I’ve done just that. However, I’ve been eating less and less to the point where I’d eat one meal a day and even regret it. This helped so much and gave me so much more confidence to move on and develop new goals.

  • I’m struggling with this problem, i need to get my period back but I’m afraid to increse my calories intake…
    I eat like 1250 kcal x day.
I go to gym 6 day a week, 3 days of hiit sessions/cardio and 3 days of weight training. I think that I need more calories ☹️
I feel better by seeing that I’m not alone, thank you for sharing your experience ❤️

  • For someone who suffers with IBS and bloating who cant eat huge meals due to uncomfortable digestion what do you reccomend? Love your message!

  • I love your channel so much! I feel everything u said is legit me. Like my body type is just like what yours used to be! I love your channel

  • Ways to increase metabolic rate:

    1. INCREASE LEAN BODY MASS (more muscle)

    2. INCREASE PROTEIN CONSUMPTION (focus on 1.5 2g of protein per KG) My advice: only start eating carb’s and fats once you achieved your daily protein intake. This way you wont be hungry and you are going to lose fat faster than Trump broke his pre-election promises, while conserving your muscles even gaining muscles if your a newbie.

    3. ACTIVE REST (Take a slow walk in the park with a friend or family member)

  • I feel like men in fitness have had this figured out for so long! For me, it’s hard to wrap my head around how less cardio and more food could possible lead to the body I want. We’re taught to be so scared of food! Muscles take calories to survive! Work your muscles ladies!!!

  • thank you for this video!! for anyone in doubt/hoping this is real: IT IS. I have personally experienced both sides of the spectrum she is talking about, being at 1200 and skinny fat, then eating more BUT having a LEANER overall look and flatter stomach than when I ate much less! eating more (good food, veggies, fruits, whole grains is great!🙂

  • I agree with everything apart from you H.I.I.T advice because most people watching this do not have the ability or sustained levels of fitness for it to be effective.

  • Guys are so gross your commercial is gross vomit puke naked chest weird guy go stand in the mirror I look and talk to your self you’re bogged Boggs Bob

  • 1-Gain muscles
    2-Workouts like cardio
    3-Include healthy protein sources
    4-Take chilli, paper, ginger
Avoid crash diets, intensive workouts because it burns your muscles

  • 1. Lift heavy things (resistance training) | 2. You need to make sure you get enough sleep! | 3. Eating enough calories (reverse dieting + resistance training helps with metabolic rate), eat enough protein thermic effect, eat enough B vitamins (especially critical).

  • Alpha: “spicy foods increase metabolism, but only if you eat a lot” Asians and Hispanics: “is that supposed to be hard?”

  • so I have an insanely fast metabolism and I want to know if that increases muscle breakdown when my body needs energy. every 30 mins I start to get hungry and i eat about 9000 calories a day. i am 110 lbs and have a bmi of about 15. answers would be great!

  • you know this guy is a complete fake when every solution is to basically do strength work outs for everything and he is the owner of the 6 week program and owns numerous gyms. How does he sleep at night knowing he deceives the entire public? Like you can come up to him on the street and be like “bro how do I get job X” and his response will eventually lead to that you should join a gym and he will hand you his business card with his gym contact info on it

    Thats a psychopath right there

And he speaks of “science” in every video. Yet I’ve not seen a single link to any research

People like him became a multimillionaire because they are so good at telling people lies for profit and he has no regret about it. Its a psychopath

  • Like he said walking is not an exercise. I walk for more than 2 hours everyday because of my dog. But I am still fat because my eating habits are not changed. Walking alone is not a solution for losing weight.

  • this is my workout is it any good?: 10 minutes iron butterflies 6 minutes core pummelers 2 minutes of push ups 1 minute squats 3 minutes of weights 2 minutes of walking running or jogging (at least) and 3 random exercises for 5 minutes each.

  • this was in my recommended and i feel in love with your cute and sexy personality combined with your knowledge and delivery. you got a new subscriber girl. Keep at it

  • Great video about how to boost metabolism naturally. I have learned a lot about 6 great way to boost metabolism naturally. Thanks for sharing.

  • the things you mentioned at first (drinking water, coffee, chewing gum)… I know these things don’t burn /that/ many calories (somewhere between 20-100 extra throughout the day probably), but i’m glad I did them when I started trying to lose weight. It helped me while intermittent fasting and trying not to eat high calorie foods because it makes you a lot less hungry to chew gum, drink water, and have some caffeine.

  • I just found your channel and glad I did because since I’m not doing wrestling anymore I realized I gotta workout on my own and now I’ve found new ways to make my workout better. I weigh 180 rn but my goal is to weigh 160 or around there.

  • hello can u please put english substitles on for the deaf people who intesting bodybuilding etc… ok high fives from me deafautism england uk

  • i got from 92kg to 77kg since January just with a diet, just eating healthy and avoiding sugar and only eating complex carbs,(vegetables) and walking with 6kg lost in the first 30 days, i was walking for something between 3 to 5 h a day due to the job i was doing back there. now i walk between 1 to 2 h per day but i have more time so i add some more intense training, the problem is that i do not have access to a gym to do something serious but overall are some good results

  • my metabolism isnt even low but idk why i came here i just went to youtube and searched up boost your body for some reason apparently

  • Literally my metabolism is really slow after working out or playing field hockey… like my belly gets all blown up after playing hockey or smt

  • 100%!! Everything that you said is exactly what I experienced and wished I heard about it before. Thank you for sharing! Also, good to point about the meals vs snacks too!

  • As always, excellent, science-backed video, articulately delivered with specifics to apply in daily life. Many thanks brother! This will help me get more fit.

  • Ive heard that our metabolism depends on our fat ratio, I mean for different types of activity. For example: for speed we need
    60% saturated fat
    30% monounsaturated
    10% polyunsaturated
But if we build up muscles (I suppose) we need less saturated fat. So how to swap our fat ratio when we want only to boost our metabolism. Because professionals know what they need, they feel day-by-day changes
Besides we cant eat so much coconut oil, but MCT oil is needed to burn fat but in specific situation and mostly on keto-diet.
Typical person even doesnt want to know about fat, fats.
