  • Top 5 marketed probably, top best I don’t think so. Where all here to buy the best protein because at the end of the day we want to feed our muscles the right stuff. Maybe a decade ago you could get away with protein blends with whey protein concentrate as the first on the list(which is what most of the protein is made up of) but were in 2020 now where studies show you really want whey protein isolate and only isolate, not some blend of it. You also don’t want any sucralose which is just an artificial sweetener which we all know is not good for your system. I was surprised to find some of these had stevia extract but also had sucralose which just defeats the purpose of adding sucralose. If you want something that’s cheap and you can buy a 6-7 pound bag for $50 then go for it but if your cheap your going to get cheap product. Spend a little more cash on good protein which 100% whey protein isolate and make sure that’s first on the ingredients list with none of that sucralose nonsense.

  • The truth! All commercial proteins are garbage an can’t be digested well. Good luck getting abs with these protein supplements. Always buy hydrolyzed protein. It helps but you only get about 10 grams. I use a professional formula of hydrolyzed casein or hydrolyzed whey that has very small dalton Di and Tri peptides that are immediately absorbed into the blood stream and warrants the high price I pay. Wholesale whey protein cost a little over $2 a lb so the markup on protein powder is ridiculous.

  • The correct way to figure out the proper amount of protein you need is to use your body fat percentage. If you have 20% body fat then simply subtract that 20% from your body weight. That would be the amount of protein you need.

  • I’ve done alot of searching on the internet and I mostly find that the RDI for protein is 0.8g/kg of bodyweight. And yet some sources including this video say thaat I should be taking 0.8g/lb of body weight. So which one is it exactly, because those 2 are vastly different serving sizes. By more than double in fact. Could you please clarify?

    EDIT: Just to give some perspective, 0.8g/lb of bodyweight means that even a skinny 120lb female should be eating about 1/2 -3/4 a full chicken a day. And that’s just the reccommended, without working out or anything. Even worse when you go for 1.0g/lb a day. That sounds terribly wrong to me.

  • You have to be very careful with whey & casein protein intake. Both are waste products of the cheese and yogurt industries, respectively. It’s garbage that normally would cost them money to dispose of, so like grapeseed waste from the wine industry, they found a way to repackage it and sell you their garbage. These proteins aren’t meant to be consumed by people. They’re meant for baby calfs. There are many silenced voices out there from studies that show detrimental harm to human vital organs that lead to heart disease and other serious conditions. It’s not just the diet of cocaine and steroids that kills most theatrical wrestling stars and pro bodybuilders in their 40s. The whey and casein overloading, which is exactly what the “recommended” dose-per-body weight is secretly accounting for much of the damage and wear of these professional athletes. I took it without thinking-twice often until I accidentally stumbled upon the avalanche of data showing how poisonous it is. On top of that they add Soy Lecithin to it which literally means soy yolk.   • protein shake takes longer to digest keeping you fuller? what are you smoking. Whey Protein powder has enzymes that speed up absorption. Your body sucks it in like it was nothing. Unless you’re lifting and need the protein boost to hit your daily protein goal, you should not be drinking protein shakes. You want to burn fat you already know how to do that, Eat filling low carb foods (beef, poultry, fish (not too much)) with a lot of leafy greens (spinach, swiss chard, kale, etc), add in some HIIT and you’re good to go. No point starving yourself with a protein shake that’s like a glass of water.

  • Whey ISO is better for most ppl because the lactose is removed and don’t send you the bathroom as often. If you have no lactose issues, it doesn’t matter!
