  • I love how Americans always talk about Grass Fed Beef, Legit all beef in the UK is grassfed. American Agriculture is fucked up haha

    Great video man!

  • Thomas, I drink ACV (2Tbl spoon) with 10oz of hot water to which I add the juice of a half lemon, teaspoon of turmeric, teaspoon of cinnamon, teaspoon of ginger and a pinch of fresh ground black pepper. It tastes good. I love it.

  • If AMPK gets elevated by ACV, does it inhibit muscle growth?
AMPK is kind of the opposite of mTor right?

I would like to know since my main focus now is building muscle. If that’s the case I will save the ACV for when my focus changes to leaning out.

    Thanks in advance:)

  • I did lchf for a year. List 50 lb and the last 3 months were so difficult! And the weightloss so slow. Now it’s so hard to get back on it. It’s been over a year and when I am able to stick with I’m not loosing. I really thought lchf and intermittent fasting was the answer but now I don’t know

  • I want to do the Keto but he gives so many video, so much information, how in the world as a newbie so I even begin. All do this and don’t do this, make sure have enough or don’t do too much of these. Head spin. What I need is a basic day, calories per day. Do work out, don’t work out. Help lol

  • Jeff you may to mention meal frequency as that plays a part in metabolism, just my 2 cents. You can actually eat more and lose body fat when your body is constantly fed 5 to 6 meals versus 2 to 3 meals.

  • Lol I needed this, back in high school I was fit and 210-220’ish lbs and use to eat a whole lot and never gained weight, and then senior year and college happened where I wasn’t or hardly active and my fatass now weighs 270lbs luckily I don’t look bad, but still wholy shit I need to lose weight and get my metabolism going again

  • During the first 2 ish months of lockdown I found myself (accidentally) massively under eating as I was sleeping through breakfast then only eating lunch and dinner and a few hundred calories in snacks and protein shakes (about 1,600-1,800 total calories taken in per day) as well as burning roughly 500 a day through cardio. I’m 18, am 5ft 11 and 140 pounds and believe my maintenance calories was somewhere between 2,000 and 2,400 so I was clearly in a massive deficit for a very long period of time, and have lost 2 stone since last summer. Now as my gym is opening soon I’m looking to get back into weight training and therefore consuming more calories, does anybody have any advice for how I can decrease my deficit whilst not gaining a massive amount of weight due to my presumably broken BMR?

  • I have a fairly high body fat 18-22 I think but I also have a lot of muscle and cannot afford to not gain / lose any muscle mass while I cut down as I’m playing rugby at a decent level and trying to get to the next level any tips?

  • im skenny like not skinny skinny but like i have a 6 pack anyway im a normal skinny size i play foft ball and do track i also take my dog on walks almost every day im 14 yet i eat like only junk food bc my mom is an only mom with 3 kids so we need snacks she also is not a om to cook or clean me and my older sister do that besides all that i do not gain whaieght at all and i didnt do much this summer but sit in my room watch my phone and eat still got a six pack what is this lmao i mean im fine with it hah

  • One thing, What are some carb meals with no fat?
So no oil, butter fatty meats like salmon or beef?
So maybe like tomato scauce pasta with chicken?
Or like literally just eat rice and veg with soy sc?
Thanks for this amazing video, im ripe with belly fat that wont go away been walking like 2 hours a day, nothing! Now im going to buy some weights and start strength training. You saved me.

  • Thomas, what you described is hypothyroidism. Feeling cold can be described wearing heavier clothes than normal, for example long sleeves while standing outside in Houston weather, Dry skin or hair fallout so much, sleep all the time wake up and already feeling tired, gaining weight and keep going regardless what you eat.

  • I’ve found from eating gluten and wheat free cerial pasta and bread has helped me lose a few kgs and helps my ibs. Also reducing dairy eggs chocolate crisps and takeaways helps the body.

  • I’ve never liked Caffeine. But I started having green Tea last week. I hope that’s better than worse. I have no problem cutting it out though.
    I hate Coffee lol.

  • Diet doesn’t mean eating less food. It means caloric deficit. I can be eating alot more low calorie food and getting into a caloric deficit. While i can be just drinking a lot of coke nd just snacking daily on a calorie surplus

  • I’m severely hyperthyroid with all hypOthyroid symptoms. After radiation uptake scan I immediately slammed on 30 pounds over the first 2-3 months and the weight hasn’t been able to budge since. It’s been about 4 years now.
Any ideas on how to reverse that radiation side effect?

  • im skenny like not skinny skinny but like i have a 6 pack anyway im a normal skinny size i play foft ball and do track i also take my dog on walks almost every day im 14 yet i eat like only junk food bc my mom is an only mom with 3 kids so we need snacks she also is not a om to cook or clean me and my older sister do that besides all that i do not gain whaieght at all and i didnt do much this summer but sit in my room watch my phone and eat still got a six pack what is this lmao i mean im fine with it hah

  • My ACV drink is identical to yours, but I only use BRAGG’s ACV. It’s the best! Thank you for this video. I’ve been thin all of my life and right now I weigh 180! Imagine how badly I feel not being able to wear my own clothes.

  • Careful with chromium though…
Be extra safe that you’re consuming food containing trace minerals of trivalent chromium, those are the chromium compounds essential to human nutrition mentioned in this video.
Stay as far away as you can from any form of hexavalent chromium compounds because those are highly toxic to the human body.

  • thanks, Thomas I usually do carb cycling in a week and keep two days ACV fast. High fat, high protein, high carb, high protein high fat, high protein high carb and then 2 days fast.

  • Lots of BULLSHIT is being told in this video… starting at the very beginning….
You cant just give iodine and the thyroid gland immediately miraculously starts producing more hormones. Its is NOT as simple as that.
ACV? Another witch doctor recommendations, others use maple syrup but it also doesnt help…. etc etc…
You are a mere buff-dude. You dont understand much about how things REALLY work.

  • Hey Thomas! I LOVE your videos and appreciate your scientific and honest approach to things. I know you have a ton of stuff on your plate, but can I ask one favor of you? If you or your team get the chance, could you maybe organize your playlists?
You have SO MANY great videos, that I have trouble finding the specific content that I’m looking for, since most of your videos are in one place. I’d really appreciate it. Keep up the great work man!

  • Wow! Exactly what I needed! This is the best information on metabolism and reverse diet that I’ve found so far. Thanks so much for sharing!

  • I love watching your videossoo helpful. The one problem I have is I do not have my thyroid anymoreyears ago I developed a goiter and had to have my thyroid removednow on medication (synthroid) for the rest of my life. where do I fit in your advice? Could you do a video for those of us without our thyroids…
I have been doing intermittent fasting for 5 months and have lost 70# but have been on a plateau for almost one of those months! Taking a break from fasting but want to lose at least 50 more #s. Any ideas how to get back to losing?

  • Started out at 246 5’11 in 12 weeks down to 221 then stuck for over a year. IF 16-18 hours 3-4 times a week throw in a 24 every 2-3 weeks. Walk 2.5 miles a day at a fast clip. Low carb under 40 net, between AC1 5.2, fasting BG between 85 to 90, keytones hover at about.57. Drink a couple of tablespoons ACV daily with water and lemon. Male going on 58 and want to drop another 40 I feel its hopeless yet I have no desire to go back to the SAD way of eating. Supplement with D, magnesium, potassium, salt, K2-mk7, collogen and fishoil. Is there any advice you could give in your next video because I am sure I’m not the only one especially at my age. Thank you Thomas for all the great content.

  • This guy is an idiot. He might as well say he promotes the Paleo diet. Unless you have are allergic to gluten or have an allergy to peanuts there is nothing wrong with there’s foods. There are so many health benefits to whole grains, high fiber content is one. Most American’s aren’t getting enough finger in their diets, and fiber has many benefits, such as promoting gut and bowel health, reducing spikes in insulin when eating carbs, staying fuller longer… It’s all about total calories. You know what else increases your metabolism…lifting weights and having more muscle. Butter is saturated fat (which in large amounts) has been shown to cause Cardiovascular disease. CLA or Omega 6 can also be found in beef, or any ruminant animal products. There is no current literature that supports CLA for weight loss…just claims.

  • I dont binge eat though. And i cant help it, its everything i eat and my dad makes me eat 2 times a day. Its sometimes when i drink. I cant help it anymore, i tell myself i wont but then i have to or my thoughts wont go away

  • THE TRUTH IS… My medical physician NEVER shared this information BECOUSE THE FUCKES DONT KNOW…
The average medical physician think they are experts, but they are not, only a fool will tell you to NOT eat fat and eat more grain and bread fruits like apples ect..and pump yourself full of more insulin when you are a diabetic 2.-
Medical Dr. are and have always been self-important arrogant ppl. with a massive inflated ego.. THAT IN REALTY don’t know shit, other than what they read in an outdated book, that reads like a car manual or a TV manual and has instructions like; if the patient has an infection give him this pill if he has this prob. give him that pill ect ect..
They have no real understanding of what causes a disease and don’t learn how to treat the disease but how to treat the symptoms of that disease and not the disease itself..
THEY ARE NOTHING MORE THAN SNIKE OIL SALESMAN FOR BIG FARMA!!

  • Thanks for this video! Question: is HIIT full body training as efficient as resistance training? Because I don’t have access to a gym, so I’m trying HIIT for a couple of weeks now..

  • Canola oil is used in the industrial industry. Yes to oil up machinery. Research has shown that it causes dementia.. alzheimers. Horrible stuff. A final fat is the best for frying. For breakfast I store the bacon or beef fat in a mug next to the stove with a metal spoon. Try to clarify it. I use a bit of it when I need to fry.

• I’m kind of ‘recovering’ from heavy calorie restriction. It all started when I gained weight at the age of ten, I am a diabetic type one since I was four and I was resistant to a certain insulin I was injecting at that time. There was a point were it was such a high amount that the injections couldn’t be filled with enough insulin for me. I needed five full injections, normal kids at my age and weight needed a half injection. It was crazy and no doctor cared, it went on for almost three years. Because of that high insulin intake I gained weight, I still wasn’t overweight just a bit chubby, until then I was always muscular and sporty. There was a solution but the weight wasn’t going down. I thought I had to diet, to the point where I was eating like max. 450 calories a day and burning 600 calories with cardio. That went for over 2 years. Now I’m 15 years old. I still have my period, but sometimes it’s only every two months and when I have it it’s just like two days or so. It’s a mess. Last year in March I started at 67. 1 kg. At my ‘best’ in summer I was 63 kg. I was eating so little, barely anything and didn’t even lose that much weight. Now I’m trying to eat a little bit more (500+-, slowly trying to increase the intake) but more protein in the calories. Now I am 67 kg again (btw I’m 165 cm), earlier this year I ate even less but gained weight. At some point I just wonder how I survive, I am a competitive horse rider and do a lot of sports besides eating so little

  • My best friend might have bulimia. I want to be there for her and support her, I’m doing the best I can but she lives in Germany and I live in the US. Im trying to get her to go seek medical treatment and see a therapist but she doesn’t want to

  • Hi Thomas, I always enjoy your video’s and your focus on a healty eating pattern rather than an eating pattern that will make you look good really connects with me. Could you do a video on fixing a fast metabolism some time? I’m eating a minimum of 4000kcal a day, high quality foods, taking care of my sleep and stress, strenght training 3-4 times a week and I still can’t seem to gain weight. I’m at a healthy weight, but I feel like I’m eating excessive amounts of food that might be causing inflammation because of the sheer amount. Would like your insight on this matter. Thanks!

  • How do you fast for 36 hour what can you drink what activity and what do you eat when you’re done with your fasting I would like a walk through I have no idea what to do! thanks for the good video it help a lot!

  • Dr Oz need to make up his mind. on this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YErcj40hsXA (reignite metabolism) he said Peanuts are good for metabolism.

  • Thomas THANK YOU for your videos… you have been such an influencer for understanding the details of how our bodies work and what to do to eat as we should rather than how our country teaches in a broken method that is grossly outdated. Fasting has become a major part of my world, how to break a fast, taking care of the thyroid, fatty liver, HOW and WHAT and HOW OFTEN to eat as we age, hormones, working out, all of it! SO appreciate you and your hard work. Makes a world of difference to me!

  • i’m 17 lost 3.5kg in 20 days with 1200 calories diet WITHOUT exercising (used to be 68.2 kg and 168cm ) so i’m 64.7 kg now… i didn’t lose anymore weight for a week.. is this consider a plateau? and does it mean my metabolism adapt faster then others bz i’ve read that it take at least 3 months for the body to adapt to low or high calories but mine adapted in only 20 days… i’m still trying to lose 5 more kg.. and if i do the reverse diet will i gain weight and can i fix my metabolism in one week “rest week” maybe increase 70 calories/day so i get to 1900 calories plz help

  • My doctor says I should reduce my red meat consumption because my Uric acid is elevated and he put me on a drug. My trainer says that’s not true what do you think?

  • I worry about my weight bc of self consciousness and athleticism. I tend to eat a lot so I decided to eat how ever I want whenever I want, then only drink water for two days of the week. Does that count?

  • Hi Thomas! I’ve been watching your videos for some time now and find the content to be extremely educative. I had a gastric bypass couple of years ago and put on some weight back on. Could you do a video of how keto works with gastric surgery since absorbtion in the gut works differently? Thank you so much!

  • I have bulimia but my purging behaviour is working out waaaaaaaaaay too much. And i got bulimia from not having enough food and when i got food i ate it excessively because i was afraid it would disappear. And i am at a normal weight. I got professionally diagnosed without my parents knowledge

  • I don’t know if I have it or not:( I do binge once or twice a week and purge after even if it’s just a bit on the weekend and then I basically starve myself and run a lot during the week and that’s what my life is. I have lots of muscle fatigue and everyday when I wake up I get so extremely light headed that if I hold my breath I’d probably pass out. I haven’t had my period in months. So I do show symptoms but I don’t want to diagnose myself yk

  • I can eat and still be full 6 hrs later i have no motabolism at all! Ive been on keto for a week now its bloody hard but not as hard as being fat and unhappy!

  • 10:00 might sound stupid but why would an obese persons RMR be so much higher than say a lean person? isnt stored fat just that, stored fat? or do you constantly need a calorie source to sustain it? to me id think simply breathing and being idle would burn the same calories regardless of size, just something i dont fully understand.

  • Hey Thom. Love your videos. I have learned so much from you and really appreciate all your videos. I have hypothyroidsm and have suffered from all of the above but I never understood it until you explained it in this video. Totally makes sense to me now. Keto has really helped many of those things you mentioned but unfortunately interminate fasting does not. Everyone is different.
Have you ever thought of putting together a learning course similar to Dr. Berg? If you ever did, I would sign up tomorrow. Don’t get me wrong. I so appreciate your free videos but it would be fantastic to have a course broken down by individualized topics. I certainly would pay for it!!! BTW… I took Dr. Berg’s course and learned more from him than I did at my nutrition school. Go figure!!! LOL

  • Thanks a lot! I have been dieting since August of last year (even though at some points I would eat a bit more, but still dieting overall). Lost 45lbs since then and was having trouble loosing the final 10 lbs. Been stalled for the past 2 weeks even though I have gone from doing HIIT cardio 2 times per week to 6 times per week while still keeping a really low caloric intake of around 1700. So after 2 weeks of this being stalled at 156lbs did not make a lot of sense, but hearing about water retention does bring some hope. Also, these past 2 days I have been feeling ravenous hunger (probably from all the cardio). So I will take 1-2 weeks off of any sort of workout, and will eat to maintenance around 2400 calories. Hope this works!

  • With all do respect…. all of what you say is just a bunch of B.S!!!! Every day you come up with a new theory and totally different foods to eat… I became sooooo confused… what is considered healthy today… becomes unhealthy tomorrow…. I stopped watching the show long time back because I don’t need these guys to tell me what to eat…. I follow my own instincts… fruits, vegetables, sea food and little of the other kinds of meats and poultry… exercise and good night sleep…. that’s all… I live a healthy life

  • Diet doesn’t mean eating less food. It means caloric deficit. I can be eating alot more low calorie food and getting into a caloric deficit. While i can be just drinking a lot of coke nd just snacking daily on a calorie surplus

  • I’m just always assuming these videos are keto based. Probably because I love the ketogenic lifestyle. I read that a ketogenic diet increases your metabolism regardless of other factors. True/False or complicated?

  • I lost 53 pounds in 4 months doing next to nothing, now I am brisk walking and now I stop losing weight, When I went from 750 calories to 850 calories I began to slowly lose more weight. Great Video!!

  • Hey Thomas! I love your videos and they’re super informative. I was trying keto out a couple times and it just wasn’t for me. Then I decided to cut red meat, pork, and chicken out of my diet. So I eat healthy fish like sardines, shrimp, healthy salmon etc… I’ve noticed an initial drop in my weight but now I’m climbing back up:( How can I boost my protein and limit my carb intake while going mostly ovo/lacto vegetarian? Any recommendations or fellow Youtubers who have this veggie protein on lock? I’m going to try the iodine and chromium in my morning tea b/c I know I’m not getting those nutrients. Thanks in advance! <3 Keep up the good work!

  • M, 40yo, 5’11”, low physical activity other than 3 workouts a week (M, W, F), and BMR is SHIT (1800ish cal). I feel like in order to stay motivated during weight loss I’ve got to be losing a lb/wk. I’ve gotta SEE the progress to keep going.

So I’ve got myfitnesspal set to 1790/day, which I eat between 6pm and 12am (IF) and I do a 36hr fast once a week just for an extra push.

All of this is just kind of what I’ve stumbled onto through trial and error. But it’s torture and still takes a LONG ass time (6-8mos). I’m currently trying to diet down about 40 lbs to 150 so I can make room to build muscle with less fat in the way.

I’ve done this exact thing in the past but I always end up giving up once I reach my goal weight and I don’t get on with the muscle building phase. Usually because of outside life factors (can’t afford all the protein, no gym membership, etc.).

Last time I did this I was determined NOT to just give up and gain all the weight back after reaching my goal. But I did. Took me about a year and a half to gain it ALL back. 8 or so months of dieting torture from 198 to 154 only to turn around and gain it all back, ALL fat .

Now I’m back at it again and I just don’t wanna give up this time.

  • Uhmm just a Quick question, does redbull or any other energy drink boost your metabolism? I think it does Because it has a lot of cafeine but i am not sure

  • Hi Jeff I’m 18 y/o 190 cm and weight 87kg i want to do a reverse diet i have been eating for the last 5 months 1000 calories each day and last week i lost 1.3 kg and the week before 1kg what do you think i should do?

  • Is 3 months enough to ruin a metabolism? I have been eating from 600 to 1000/1200 cals a day for i think around 3 to 4 months,i wanted to lose fat but i woulf get so hungry that i would binge,im stuck in this binge/restrict cycle and im sick of it, i binged today but i want to get back on track, hos do i start after a binge?

  • I lost 13 kgs (28 lbs) in 3 months with Keto. It was only possible with Thomas’ videos. However, After 3 months I hit Keto wall, then I incorporated apple cider vinegar (2 times a day) with my meal. It worked wonder. Now, no more hitting Keto wall. Consider buying the green apple cider vinegar ( organic and the mother in it). I learned about it in Thomas’ or Dr. Berg’s video, don’t remember exactly. However, it is very effective to break the Keto wall / fat loss. Thank you Thomas for this wonderful content. You are awesome man.

  • Currently I’m eating an average of 1,400 calories per day with light exercise like walking.

I just want to make sure that this is right:

I want to lose weight, but what I got from this video is that in order to do so, I need to gain muscle which will lead me to gaining weight. But while I gain muscle and weight, will I lose fat as well? That sounds pleasing and I hope I got that.

  • Everybody has a slow metabolism, that’s why u exercise to speed up your metabolism. Also improving your breathing and blood circulation……

  • I’m 14 and destroyed my fast metabolism. I would eat so unhealthy and not exercise. Most of the time my body would burn it, but after a few years, I gained some weight. This caused me to have an eating disorder where I only ate bellow 1,000 calories… after weeks of doing this, whenever I tried to eat normal, I would gain weight so fast. This meant my metabolism got very bad. But thankfully, I focused on filling up on healthy foods and do workouts, now my metabolism got a bit better. Sadly, I’m not able to eat as much unhealthy foods as other teens, but I can enjoy a few without gaining weight. I still have to eat mostly healthy to maintain my weight, but I’m not complaining cause I actually enjoy eating healthy. 😉 I remember those days where I could eat all the food I want without exercising and stay skinny, sadly those days are kinda over for me lmao. But atleast I’m getting used to eating healthy at a young age:)

  • i always was a fat child and a chubby teenager. I’m 18 yo and dealing with depression for 2 years. i feel awful whenever i look at the mirror, i feel so guilty when i overeat and so i make myself puke. i love it when i lose weight and see this in the mirror. But this caused some things like i feel so fatigue and anemia. As if I’m an old woman. Now I’m taking vitamin pills. Depression caused my bulimia and it’s like an obsession that it’s so hard to stop myself puking.

  • Antipsychotics broke my metobolism at his worse. I Gained 30KG in less then 7 months!

Awfull meds for your health in every imaginable way not evening mentioning the extreme fatigue.. Just be aware!

  • so Eric said that eating more to lose weight isn’t a thing, but what about Stephanie in the ‘all in’ situation? She ate more and eventually lost weight. Did she go into a deficit?

  • yes cardio isnt good, did that, I was damaged without a caloric deficit. Sad, cause I also had no curves but yet looked like i was getting chunky. Too much low intensity running for girls is not good. This knowing now Im naturally curvy. Did swimming with that also.

  • How long should we break from the HIIT? I’m literally gaining weight and in a calorie deficit a year after being septic and being in ketosis from being so sick. I need my bmr to work again. I eat well and exercise. So frustrating.

  • Great video i have a question about collagen and how it works im 22 and im taking collagen but my father in law says im to young, if i take supplements than my body wont produce it naturally itll become (lazy ) its better for older people ‍♀️

  • I have an important question. I have been stuck on my weight for TWO MONTHS. But I look extremely different… I don’t know what’s going on. Can anyone help?

  • not all calories are equal. you can trick yourself into a false deficit or surplus. And we still have the way our body process the calories

  • I am so confused. You’re talking about caloric restriction. Are you talking about people on a keto plan or those who are in a caloric restricted meal plan? I began a ketoish meal plan with IF but I’m not restricting calories at all. As a matter of fact, I’m eating more calories than before but with significantly less carbs. The quality of the foods I eat has improved tremendously.

  • I like that, Fat loss happens from spontaneous caloric reduction. That could be something that happens to me. Luckily I never dieted before in my life so I didnt mess with my metabolism much. But I can eat 2000-3000 some times then I only get 1500 calories a day and lose weight for days at a time pretty quickly. (im 5 foot tall and 41 yrs old and I dont work out) 141 pounds lost:)

  • I dropped 66 pounds in under 3 months sitting in a wheelchair with nothing but calorie deficit and then my weight loss completely stalled. Now I am at 225 gaining weight in the gym by building muscle mass below my unchanging fatty tissue. I have no idea how to drop the remaining forty-something pounds of excess, and watching this video didn’t make me any smarter… among many things, for example I have literally no idea what you’re on about with this overfeeding you keep repeating ad nauseam, lean this, lean that, single percentile body fat, etc. You make no sense… I’m doing 12-22 reps in the gym with medium to high weights on a 1800 cal diet, what do you mean tap out at 7? No comment…

  • I’m surprised that fasting isn’t mentioned all, if you do an intermittent fast instead you don’t slow down your metabolism at all. You only slow down your metabolism if you’re eating food that’s less calorie dense, not if you don’t eat at all (say skipping a meal or two).

  • so if i lost weight to be quiet skinny, therefore if i do reverse dieting could i just stay at that weight forever? i dont want to get ripped but more of a slim body type is that possible?

  • Do we have to do the 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off? My diet lasted 4 months, first month I did 3 weeks on, 1 week off, I did that the second month and then the last two months I did higher calories here and there eg every 5 days and maybe some weeks 9 days, do you think my metabolism has slowed down that much? I was eating 1700-1800 for maintenance and was losing on 1300-1400, what do you think my new maintenance is? I will be doing a reverse diet too, in 2 weeks in starting

  • everyone is saying “get help” but it’s really hard. I’m super embarrassed and don’t know the first step, especially when I don’t want my family to know

  • Month three of IF, Calorie Counting, Walking and low carb, finally seeing my abs at 50! Lost 20 some Lbs, more than my goal. Why didn’t I know about this 10 yrs ago?! Happy going into the new year!

  • What’s your advice on supporting my reverse dieting efforts with an exercise program? I enjoy running but I was experiencing severe headaches due to muscle tension in my neck. This could be from dehydration, not taking in enough calories or pushing my performance efforts past my calorie intake for the run or a combination of all three. I believe reverse dieting can help me with these issues though I am interested in weight loss and as I mentioned, I like to run. I am willing to minimize my running days to once or twice a week (day 1 would be a run of 20 to 30 mins and day 2 would be intervals for 20 mins). I do a bit of strength training though should I focus more on strength training and if so how many times a week and time duration per session in the beginning?

  • Thomas DeLauer My head is spinning after hearing all this valuable information. You speak very fast too!
I wish you and your Family a Healthy n Happy New Year. Thanks for all of your Videos…

  • Love your channels Thomas!! Even my husband teases me “watching your Thomas Videos”!!??
But my question is, What if I don’t have a thyroid from removal by radiation? I’ve battled my weight for 14 years now

  • thanks, Thomas I usually do carb cycling in a week and keep two days ACV fast. High fat, high protein, high carb, high protein high fat, high protein high carb and then 2 days fast.

  • Quick question: what’s a good method to combat the tiredness caused by being in a calorie deficit? I’m in like a 300 calorie deficit (i’m 5 ft female) but my weight loss has still been pretty slow I guess, and it’s been like 9 months now (lost around 8kgs) and I’m getting pretty exhausted all the time now, and I unfortunately can have only a very small amount of caffiene a day because I have a low tolerance to it which causes migraines:( (not even 1 cup of coffee a day). Anyone got any other energy-fuelling ideas?

  • no shade, but I kind of prefer the slow look better:D

I guess because I’m just used to that look, being surrounded by guys in the trades

  • Thanks for this video! Question: is HIIT full body training as efficient as resistance training? Because I don’t have access to a gym, so I’m trying HIIT for a couple of weeks now..

  • This Josh Axe is full of BS. If you want nutrition advice, stay away from Oz and the crackpots and quacks he brings. Watch Greger’s videos.

  • Wasn’t that study you mentiond at around 55 minutes is about the fatcell production? If so, that study actually proved that if you gain fat in a very rapid rate, you not just storing fat in your existing fat cells, but also create new ones. And more empty fat cells means more bodyfat percentage or more hunger on the same level of leanness as before the cycle. I think that can be considered as “methabolic damage”.

  • I’m new into macros. I’m a girl, I’m not too big or too skinny but went to a nutritionist because I want to lose weight like 6 lbs. I’m small. I workout three times at week but my sleep is not so good. My nutritionist gave me a meal plan where I spread the macronutrients throughout the day but only eat my carbs around exercise time. I lost 1.5 lbs in two weeks. I’m want to look leaner and show more curves, shred, tone up kind ok. I’m doing 6 meals at day etc. So, is this the way to increase my metabolism and a way to lose weight, and get leaner? I mostly do weights

  • There is a lot of variables. Type of food you eat (I can eat a lot more calories on keto and lose then I could on low fat and I was counting every calorie), muscle mass, types of exercising, female/hormones, age, etc etc. And we are not dogs. Do not eat the same thing like they do and they have different patterns.

I love it.

  • Leptin speeds up the metabolism with T3, but a good night sleep is always a booster. The higher the Metabolism, the more fat you burn, but a heart rate over 120 and you burn glycogen.

  • I wonder how people did it 60 years ago without all this information! They were slim and toned, how they did it??? It seems like you need to study for hours and hours about how our bodies micro manage every morsel we take. Do I need to study electronics in order to watch TV or I just turn the TV on and do it?? Why is so complicated??

  • Maybe one day you could do some research on naltrexone’s effect on eating disorders I was just in a research study related to that

  • i count myself as an athlete now and i always has been obsessed with body images. if im alone in my house i do this fucking purging thing sometimes even 3-4 times a day. im just sickkk of it and i really want it to be end but it became a cycle that i can never fight with, or push myself not to purge. fuck all the body images and all the love i didnt give myself through these times. i really am so sorry about where i am and where i’ll be in next months. i wish i could have ended this earlier. i was happier about my body and my mind back then and i really am so sorry about all of this.

  • Hi Thomas! I’ve been watching your videos for some time now and find the content to be extremely educative. I had a gastric bypass couple of years ago and put on some weight back on. Could you do a video of how keto works with gastric surgery since absorbtion in the gut works differently? Thank you so much!

  • I am 60yrs old and have struggled with bulimia since the age of 15. I have been diagnosed with OCD and complex PTSD. I have done drug therapy, CBT, et al. I live with it. The most important gift I ever gave myself was forgiveness. I used to binge and purge several times a day. There were times I could not hold down a meal because I felt full. I have been able to go months without binging and purging. But sometimes it’s not even binging, it’s the guilt of eating a sandwich and I took in too many carbs. It’s a weird kakked-up mindset. I have gone through thousands of hours of therapy (not to mention thousands of dollars) I just stopped trying to be perfect.

  • this is really off topic but i was curious and i counted my pulse per minute, it was 55. what the fuck does that mean? i thought my pulse was high

  • Is there research about inflammation in the case of doing two workouts a day, like 30 minute run in AM, then 30 minute strength in PM? Could there be an anti inflammatory protocol (meditation, omega 3’s, anti-inflammatory lunch) to do in between so inflammation doesn’t build up?

  • Wow really fascinating stuff! Thanks for this video! I was 200lbs and lost 21lbs and am still 23% body fat, haven’t lost weight in weeks, this video made me realizes few things a few truths I need to adjust.

  • My metabolism is slow. first, I never have a temperature higher than about 96.5, unless I am sick. But in the past couple of years, when I sit in a public room alone (some rooms in my apartment building, for instance), the light goes out! The motion detector is saying, “no living human beings here!”

  • Im doing 5 and 2 but not the way most people describe it. I’m fasting 5 days and eat 2. It works for my work life and my weekend life.

  • hey all, i think im starting to develop this but i already tried throwing up and it didnt work for me. is using homemade laxatives and working out daily still purging even though im not throwing up?

  • My grandfather ate whatever he wanted.. Drank tons of Brandy. Smoked cigarettes. And he only went down hill when grandma passed away. He lived to almost 90! He was thin and muscular his whole life.. But, brittle after grandmas passing. I’d like to dig deep into what keeps some people fit, no matter what’ they do to their bodies as aposed to people who need to watch calories and watch what they eat and when…? What is this extreme dynamic?

  • Depends on how we were to kill the lion.. But, if one could kill a lion with his bare hands! He doesn’t need to watch this video!

  • That’s pretty funny, I just watched Rachel Ray say the other day that ACV didn’t do what everybody thinks it doesn’t for weight loss. You gotta look at the source sometimes.? I myself take closer to 5tbsp. I try for 2after every meal & 1before bed.

  • I eat around 500 calories a day and am bulimic. no one knows about this except my school nurse. I’m going on holiday in 3 months and want to get my normal metabolism back whilst keeping the weight i’ve tried so hard to loose.

  • Iv had all of these symptoms for most of my life. After getting a CAT scan for another reason the Doctor told me I had “lumps” on my thyroid and should get it looked at. Still makeing appointments to find out exactly whats wrong. (Its most likely goiter)But regardless a video on thyroid problems would be great.

  • me clicking on this video as a caveman looking for nutritional tips and tricks: this is like chinese. I didnt understand. And now Im more confused than when I got here. You’re using all these technical terms. Just tell me exactly what to eat and what to do. Lol

  • I hate purging because I’m all dirty from it and it doesn’t help the fact that I’m a germaphobe. I use the sink or shower to throw up and only rarely use the toilet. I get all snotty and watery eyes from purging and it’s just disgusting. Than I have to make sure I’m really clean and that my bathroom is clean so it also satisfies my phobia of germs. Throwing up in itself disgusts me, but I do it anyway to make myself feel better.

  • My main problem is that I eat super sporadically and at super random times a lot of the time, and in super unhealthy ways. This means I est mostly unhealthy stuff, but I’ll eat anything from few or no calories a day, to upwards of 2000 calories a day.
I’m also a stressed college student who lives on caffeine.
    Yeah…
My metabolism is a bit fucked.

  • Thank you much. Great idea, fast for 2 days then eat Keto for a week, adding ACV then fast again for 2 days. etc. No snacks, but Do exercise

  • So how much weight can you actually lose in a week? I lost (on the scale) 4 lbs this week but I don’t know if it is all fat loss or water lossis there anyway to tell for sure?

  • I’ve never liked Caffeine. But I started having green Tea last week. I hope that’s better than worse. I have no problem cutting it out though.
    I hate Coffee lol.

  • Thomas, I understand that you can’t possible cover everything in your brief videos, but I would encourage you to add a short, simple message at the end.  Tell your viewers that,  even though you highly recommend something (ie apple cider vinegar) the viewer is ultimately responsible to ensure that it is safe for their own use.  I’m T1D and even though I don’t think I have gastroparesis, ACV slows my stomach emptying and causes bloating.  I’d love to use it, but for me it’s contraindicated.

  • Hey! I you and your beautiful family had a Merry Christmas! May you all have a happy New Year. Thanks for helping me be a sexy 55 plus man.

  • Appreciate video content! Forgive me for chiming in, I am interested in your initial thoughts. Have you considered Dinanlinson Trained Body Approach (search on google)? It is an awesome one of a kind product for learning how to control your metabolism to lose weight minus the hard work. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my cousin after a lifetime of fighting got cool success with it.

  • UPDATE: I recently did an entire series on the topic of speeding up your metabolism and even documented my own journey as I sped up my metabolism by 500+ calories. If you’re looking for a more in depth step-by-step on how to go about this process, check out my playlist on Reverse Dieting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1EPonaM_mo&list=PLw1PebUsG2EeckRjPsO9f96yuo2NswIkU

  • Question: if doing IF say 5 on 2 off, is that break enough? Or IF say for a couple months then take 2 weeks off? What do you do Thomas?

  • I’m saying this here because I generally don’t know, but Every morning I usually make myself throw up I’ve talked to professions but I can’t stop it makes me extremely distraught, I have been diagnosed with Depression by professionals so please don’t say that I’m making it up I actually hate eating because it makes me gain weight and I do try and eat little as possible but I’m not sure if I do Have Bulimia?

  • Thomas,

Considering you are a proponent of IF and ketogenic diets, and you perform your workouts fasted for fat loss, how do you fuel heavy-lifting workouts?

Especially for those that are looking to build the greatest amounts of strength, I simply don’t see how you can fuel an intense workouts with short bouts of intense activity when you’re running strictly on fat stores, which are hardly as efficient as glycogen, whose stores are consistently empty, when fasted/on a ketogenic diet.

I have a background in chemistry/biochemistry, so don’t feel the need to hold back on the scientific details.

  • I love how Americans always talk about Grass Fed Beef, Legit all beef in the UK is grassfed. American Agriculture is fucked up haha

    Great video man!

  • First off thank you very much for the video, I feel like I was definitely one of the people who it was made for. I was eating about 1000 calories(which felt like enough) and running 5 days a week with no change. I stated to slowly increase my calories as you said and Im now at 2000 calories a day. I did gain a few pounds that I obviously want to loose again so i wanted to get your professional opinion. Once i reach 2500 or 3000 calories and my body has adapted that number to maintain i can then reduce to a safe amount of calories maybe at 2000-2500 to loose weight again correct? If so, what happens after a few weeks or months when my body adapts to that amount of calories, is the process to be repeated? Thank you again!!

  • How often do you reset? I have been keto/paleo and IF for about 2 yrs and have hit a wall. Also when you go back to a “normal” diet how long is your reset?

  • Yup people act shocked when I say I don’t spend more than 30-45 min at the gym and try to tell me I need to be there for several hours when I’m in more shape than them lol

  • My grandfather ate whatever he wanted.. Drank tons of Brandy. Smoked cigarettes. And he only went down hill when grandma passed away. He lived to almost 90! • Thanks for all your knowledge. You siim Land, Dr Berg, Cole Robinson. You have all changed my life. I owe my 140 pound weight loss to all of you. One day I want to meet all of you to thank you in person. Keep spreading the knowledge. I’ve learned more watching your videos than I ever learned going to school. You truly are a master of your craft. Stay powerful my friend.

  • Didn’t he basically describe “starvation mode” at 49:40? He described being in a calorie deficit but not losing weight. Removing the deficit caused the weight to go down.

  • I’ve been eating 500 calories a day…. oops…

I track my calories daily and it’s hard to control my diet. I eat a good plate of greens, protein, and grains. I’m not the best at advice, but let me give some tips that I’m beginning.

-drink water and fruits/veggies with high water content
    -fibers for good digestion
    -probiotics
    -probiotics to fuel probiotics
-going to the restroom to do #2 is good for metabolism/ indicates a better metabolism.

I have more tips, but I can’t think rn. I’m going to slowly raise my calorie intake about 50-100 a day and work out like I always do. I will consume healthier products, might go partially vegan for a bit. One cheat meal/day to fulfill cravings. I’m going to attempt to control my diet
ALSO DONT EAT TOO MUCH IN ONE SERVING! BREAK IT UP THROUGHOUT THE DAY! MEDIUM BREAKFAST! LIGHT SNACK! LIGHT LUNCH, OPTIONAL SNACK, AND MEDIUM DINNER (also chew a lot!)

  • So. I am only 21 years old and have 5/6 of these indicators. I’ve gained about 20 pounds over the last 4 years. I’m definitely pretty nervous I’m just inescapably predisposed to this if it’s happening to me so young ):

  • Excelente Thomas.. gishhh and I thought I had all those simpstoms because I am always around 12% body fat! All of those I have.. but I don’t want to gain fat help Thomas.. you know me I don’t skip a single of your videos

  • Question: if doing IF say 5 on 2 off, is that break enough? Or IF say for a couple months then take 2 weeks off? What do you do Thomas?

  • I love how everyone cares about loosing weight but no one realises that there are skinny people out here and our metabolism is TOO FAST and we want to slow it down
Everything theese days is aimed at people burning calories and has theese food with only a finite amount of calories in them it’s soo annoying when you want to actually gain weight but no one cares about that

  • I’m 51 & I’ve been trying to eat protein since I was a child. I cannot digest it & tbh, eating the corpse of an animal utterly sickens me so that’s not going to happen (ever again I used to have to lie down after I ate when I was a child. We were a 3 meat & one veg family). I can barely eat a single egg once a month. If I really push it, and I’m fairly well, I can eat one maybe a week…. maybe. Even beans make me feel sick. I’ve tried protein shakes MILLIONS of times. Again, I have to be pretty well to do that. I can’t keep doing this. It’s taking me longer & longer to recover. What on earth can I do?
(I suffer from chronic migraine/headaches daily, fibromyalgia, PVImmune dysfunction fatigue syndrome, IBS, MCS etc). Due to meds, I’m now gaining weight & painkillers don’t help, neither do my hormones which are out of whack, plus I’m heading into ‘that’ time of life. VERY scary. I often eat one meal a day. My head makes my tummy feel like a rock, eating is always hard work. Help please. It’s hard enough to keep fit & healthy when you don’t have health issues, but try it when you’re not in an optimal starting position!!!

  • I barely eat anything, I rarely feel hungry and I have a habbit of just chewing some gum when I am. I used to eat alot but I’ve gained weight now and I’m so confused . When I do eat it’s usually fruit or something and drink SO MUCH coffee… idk what’s going on. Someone help

  • Can we have more muscle building tips on keto?
I found too many conflicting research on intermittent fasting and carb intake for muscle building:(

  • Yup, mine has slowed again. Suffer from a too slow thyroid, lost 47 o keto then 7 jumped back on (I thought just rom muscle from more heavy weight lifting) but it’s been months now and my hair and skin is so chronically dry and I’m so incredibly depressed… have to go get it fixed.

  • Summary of video:
    get swole
    My approach:
eat intuitively (assuming healthy cravings and I feel good) and lift or run as I want
Lifting weights is good for getting lean though because of HGH

  • Hey man, when are you going to make videos for us hardgainers, fat people, I get it, heck I know how to lose weight if I ever need it how about gaining it, yes we are minority, but need knowledge too!

  • dear Thomas, I’ve started boxing recently and having been mostly inactive except for my heavy weight lifting sessions, I feel like my tendons aren’t nearly as strong as my muscles.
how do I speed up recovery in between my cardio/boxing training? is it cold showers? is it collagen protein? should I be taking magnesium? should I fast less or more?..

  • important, i like the try of being professional / science im witholding judgement if that is done properly enoth because i did not look into all the stuff here jet but thumbs up and thank you for the video =)

  • This disorder is obviously caused when a girl’s first love is a rapist. The reason that the puking continues is that the mother continually punches her daughter in the guts at the suggestion of anything sexual.

  • dear Thomas, I’ve started boxing recently and having been mostly inactive except for my heavy weight lifting sessions, I feel like my tendons aren’t nearly as strong as my muscles.

  • I used to be about 60 lbs underweight, now I’m 15 lbs overweight with the same diet… My issue is I don’t consume the right amount of calories, and its adjusted to the 1,000 or less. I’m trying to raise it to 1,500 calories and doing small workouts. Due to my small intake of calories, I am very weak, so excessive workouts make me pass out.

  • Wowwwww….. just when all the medical advice tells us to drink water a lot, the obesity epidemic gets out of control…. and my metabolism goes to shit..i remember being like a garbage disposal and eating whatever i wanted…and almost never drinking water…certainly didnt carry water with me throughout the day at all…. i think i have been over hydrating myself, which has been fucking up my digestion and metabolism for like a decade….

  • I dont crave anything right now If im tired Id crave tea or coffee so I have a hard time eating protein, that being saidwould I get the same results by consuming sun warrior protein shakes?

  • So.. I know he mentions the thyroid a bit, but most of these are just symptoms of hypothyroidism including the slow metabolism itself.. with hypothyroidism, you will (most likely) have a slower metabolism.. from a medical standpoint, if you are experiencing these symptoms, I would recommend visiting your primary care provider to check your thyroid hormone levels. If you want to take his suggestions for “increasing your metabolism”, make sure you still get your thyroid checked to at least have a baseline to reassess your progress after incorporating them (if your levels are initially off). Another reason it may be good to see your PCP for these symptoms is to find the underlying cause of your hypothyroidism, as it is most commonly autoimmune..

  • Thomas, not sure why you promote plant protein powders. These are highly processed. Processed is bad in any regard. Plus, the bioavailability of these compounds is poor that’s why it has to be so processed. Eat beef. Good available protein. You’re starting to lose me…. I’ve really enjoyed your talks and information, but am concerned you’re letting sponsorships drive your health decisions. Hopefully, I’m wrong.

  • Not sure where to add this question, so I’ll just put it here…

    Cinnamon. Which is better?
    A] stick
    B] powdered/ground
    C] benefits?

    Separate video worthy?

    Thanks

Ps. Keto for 2 years, no cheat, down 112lb, with your help!

  • Maybe this is a stupid question, I have a feeling I know the answer, but… Can a damaged metabolism make you gain weight through muscle?

No, right? It makes no sense for your body to invest in energetically expensive tissue when it wants to save energy.

LOL

  • I am puzzled. I eat like this 9 AM protein shake. 12 good fatty food just like Thomas teaches. 15 small food. No food from 15 to next day 9 which is 16 hours fast. I am SO used to it, people… And I train hard doing calisthenics three times per week. No fatigue or hunger. I gain weight. Last month 2 kg. I eat no carbs. Keto. Muscle mass? How? I am in caloric deficit, I can almost guarantee that….. Slow metabolism…. Confused.

  • You mentioned that you do not work out for long periods of time has helped you in these 10 years. Intense and in and out quick. How long are your workouts typically?

  • Great video i have a question about collagen and how it works im 22 and im taking collagen but my father in law says im to young, if i take supplements than my body wont produce it naturally itll become (lazy ) its better for older people ‍♀️

  • NextLevelDiet really took my diet to the next level. Not only diet, but life. I can see improvements in many aspects of my life. Guys, you rock! #*Next Level Diet*

  • I’m surprised that fasting isn’t mentioned all, if you do an intermittent fast instead you don’t slow down your metabolism at all. You only slow down your metabolism if you’re eating food that’s less calorie dense, not if you don’t eat at all (say skipping a meal or two).

  • Been following you for a while, and honestly, you are amazing! Such in depth analysis, such inspiration to find out myself, so articulate, professional and respectful and honestly a very friendly aura that you can’t help but be drawn too! Thanks for your work!

  • I have heard a lot of talk about ACV, and I watched your video and several others about what fruits are acceptable for a keto diet. But one fruit I’ve never heard mention are apples! Are they a good fruit to consume on a keto diet? Is a granny Smith apple better than a golden delicious? Are different types of apples better than others, or are they all too high in fructose?

  • Hi. I used to do this a lot but I can’t do it anymore because all my food has been removed from my house. I’d still do it but I can’t. Do i still have it

  • I am obsessed with metabolism right now. Many years ago, I was eating only about 900 calories a day AND doing 1.5 hours a day of very rigorous Lifecycling at a gym…and my weight didn’t budge. Technically, I should have been losing a truckload of weight, but, nope. My metabolism slowed to almost zero and I just maintained at that!

  • So. I am only 21 years old and have 5/6 of these indicators. I’ve gained about 20 pounds over the last 4 years. I’m definitely pretty nervous I’m just inescapably predisposed to this if it’s happening to me so young ):

  • I do have a quick question. My family keeps track of my diet and has me eating the doctor recommended amount to help lower chances of me getting type 2 diabetes.

But since a month ago whatever I’ve been eating has only been expelled. It has gotten to the point that if I don’t do so my stomach starts to ache to the point I feel I need to expel my food. I want to know how to control this impulse because my family is asking if I am bulimic.

  • Last 4 months i had hard depression, and 2 weeks ago i start purging no reason….Everytime i eat after 1-2 hours i feel like puke….and ended up purging…..Is depression related to bulmia?(excuse my bad english) It’s so hard to live like this…..

  • I’m man and my height is 6ft. Doing 5×5 workout and walking. I consume 3,200 calories every day, just like what I recently learned about reserve dieting. Unfortunately, I have to eat a lot of calories to improve my satiation. Before that, I suffered extreme hunger but it could be medication’s side effect. I eat a lot of clean foods but I gain between 1-2lb every week. Am I doing correct to fix my metabolism?

  • You guys know WAY more than I do bout this stuff BUT I know that for MY body, the only way I can lose fat is by running. As soon as I restrict any calories, nothing happens.
I had 2-4 pounds I wanted to lose to get the six pack and dieting got me nowhere. I even did a 5 day fast and didn’t lose ANYTHING!…. the only way I lost it was eating normally and then running. I ran 20 miles a week. Presto… abs. I was even eating sugar and bread again… still worked. Crazy, crazy, crazy…. and I’m 47

  • I eat around 500 calories a day and am bulimic. no one knows about this except my school nurse. I’m going on holiday in 3 months and want to get my normal metabolism back whilst keeping the weight i’ve tried so hard to loose.

  • Wheat and gluten is the devil I swear! My husband had all sorts of digestive issues, bad headaches, bottom of foot pain etc. Doctors told him he had IBS. Well IBS is just BS! On our own, we cut out gluten. Every single symptom my husband had went away. No digestive issues, headaches, or foot pain. They have never come back! He feels amazing now and we can’t believe what gluten does to the body! Yes he was treated negative for celiac! You can be sensitive to gluten and not have celiac disease. It’s obvious for us. I believe the majority of people are gluten sensitive and have no idea. Cut out gluten and you’ll feel incredible!

  • One video about speeding up metabolism dr oz said eat peanuts… now we should stay away. Y’all I can’t stand a “dr.” That only cates about buzz words and money.

  • I’m man and my height is 6ft. Doing 5×5 workout and walking. I consume 3,200 calories every day, just like what I recently learned about reserve dieting. • A doctor I know doesn’t like canola oil because of cholesterol problems. Yep, you guessed it, she uses butter. Still uses canola oil depending on the dish, but only in little amounts. Wishes she could use olive oil more often but it’s expensive around here. Also dislikes peanut butter but likes nutella (and alternatives thereof). Occasionally gets those brown diet grain bread, but those aren’t as common as wholewheat so we pretty much have no choice half the time. Oh and vegetables. Don’t forget them. Don’t want disgusting flavorless broccoli? Then take the time to make salad with balsamic vinegar dressing. Most other dressings are fatty and if you have the worst metabolism, impact will be pretty significant. Cut down on rice too (if you’re Asian). You don’t need the unli rice. Let’s face it you just drench it in sauce to eat it anyway. Sauce is another calorie adder.

If you want fried foods go for salmon belly, all ye omega 3 and the fish will oil itself so you don’t have to put more oil to fry it.

  • Working out makes me feel more depressed and anxious, it’s insane but when I am not working out, I am happier. I think the anxiety is that time spent exercising feels like time wasted when I have 10-15 much more pressing things to do every day between work and school…

  • im trying to gain muscle, im 15 years old, 5″11 and weigh 145 lb, i happen to have quite a fast metabolism, it do be kinda hard to eat a lot doe

  • I don’t think I believe this. A lot of fitness people tell you to eat peanut butter with toast etc. you are supposed to eat a certain amount of whole grains each day. But hey maybe it’s correct. But I’m not changing what I eat unless it comes to fried foods

  • I ate french fries almost all my life and I was so skinny so I didn’t like myself and after I turn 45 I started gaining weight
I’m thinking to start eating french fries again to lose weight

  • sits and watches video
    Feeling cold.
    Feels a headache coming on.
LOLOL Thanks for this informative video. Please do make another video what someone can do to help their metabolism.

  • To everyone who is struggling… reach out for help. I mean it. Don’t be embarassed. Be open to others and be open for help. Because it is 100% possible to reach a healthy mindset. Stay strong and NEVER give up.

  • Thanks for the video. When you said we should fast 2 days, do you mean 48 hrs? (I would have no problem with that) Right now I do 20/4 hrs. fasting 5 days per week (monday to friday)

  • I’m just always assuming these videos are keto based. Probably because I love the ketogenic lifestyle. I read that a ketogenic diet increases your metabolism regardless of other factors. True/False or complicated?

  • You CAN find comfort and assurance and confidence on the other side of this. The thoughts don’t go away, but the impulse and the drive to ‘get up and do it now’ DOES lose force. Keep at it. Slipping up is fine. Just keep the course. You’re beautiful. You’re worth it. You got this.

  • I ate french fries almost all my life and I was so skinny so I didn’t like myself and after I turn 45 I started gaining weight
I’m thinking to start eating french fries again to lose weight

  • If I weigh 220, I am around 18% body fat and haven’t ever dropped under 10 even when I was taking cycling very seriously as a teenager. Now that I have been weight lifting and eating a lot to gain muscle I have been dieting from around 20%. I believe I can reach 12% before it becomes really hard for me. Should I start implementing 2 non-caloric deficit days a week once I feel that I am plateauing in the body fat loss department? I am also doing 18-6 intermittent fasting to make the caloric deficit easier and some other health benefits

  • I like this video. Straight to the point, intro gives the basis into the topic without dragging it out. Informative. And 8 minutes. I can’t stand some of these fitness people who say they have the facts and they go on FOREVER about and then throw in physiological jargon to confuse you more so THANK YOU.

  • Hey! I you and your beautiful family had a Merry Christmas! May you all have a happy New Year. Thanks for helping me be a sexy 55 plus man.

  • Why does the state of California label items containing chromium as being cancer causing per prop 65? I thought it was healthy to supplement with it, so now I’m confused…

  • My thyroid always comes back fine and my testosterone is just above treatable limits. But i know i am low t and have a slow metabolism. I have tried several time in the past through changing my eating habits to speed up my metabolism. 3 small meals a day with small snacks every 2 hours or so, like jerky, nuts, dark chocolate, or vegetables. After about a week it feels like my metabolism is running strong, digestion is quicker, body temp is up, but i end up ravenous all the time. Then i end up eating more than snacks, then its larger meals, then i am up 10lbs temporarily. Any idea what is happening that jacks my need for satiation up so high?

  • Appreciate video content! Forgive me for chiming in, I am interested in your initial thoughts. Have you considered Dinanlinson Trained Body Approach (search on google)? It is an awesome one of a kind product for learning how to control your metabolism to lose weight minus the hard work. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my cousin after a lifetime of fighting got cool success with it.

  • I got stuck in this due to lifestyle;e getting too busy, food has become hell again and purged a few days. I do not have a relationship with food. Thats certain. Why am I supposed to suffer for eating anything when other people can eat and not exec rise. I am not hypothyroid but my metabolism does this every now and then. I cant be lean anymore and I was looking forward to a fitness competition. I became overweight and had bone damage.II have enough of this. I walked an hour and a half yesterday and I gained a pound. I took my breakfast and threw it at the wall and broke plates. I feel like I am unworthy of food and yesterday I couldn’t eat my pasta as I had had so many disappointing meals that I was afraid. I eat 50g of sugar a day but I should have been able to take the extra fat off after a few weeks of a deficit. My deficit is around 600 calories a day. I was on a diet plan 1400 and 30 minutes running was losing weight consistently then I started dating. I went back to eating late due to lack of time and my weight gain started. After three weeks of this I am extremely distressed and am punishing myself. If I gain weight and I am dating I will cancel the date. I do not trust my body anymore. I also have severe insomnia, I cry anytime i walk into the kitchen. tried explaining to doctors I need to make sure this doesn’t happen or my mental health will suffer, I wont talk to my family and its been weeks of severe distress. To add insult to injury I have a stunted ribcage and the weight goes on my legs which will make walking even harder. I have sent an email asking for hip impingement. (hip reduction) as I am depressed about the severe disability it causes. It doesn’t matter if Im anorexic I cannot just stay overweight and break bones. I am going to have a heart attack as the weight around my middle is too high. I wont be allowing it.

  • i’m trying to recover. but, as i started eating intuitively, i realized that i’m still below 1200 calories. i’m just not that hungry. what am i supposed to do?? will i be in starvation mode forever? i eat what i want when i want but i’m only at 800-900 calories a day. i gained like a pound in 2 days and i have no idea what i’m supposed to do.

  • Your seriously way too cute and adorable. Just had to get that out the way.

I’m eating 1450 cal a day and have recently been able to up it to 1500(which is what I’m super happy and excited about) I’m a clean eating vegan and I’m extremely high activitt

  • Can a person reverse diet by eating 1 block of chocolate extra each week? Soon you will have trained your body to burn an entire slab. That’s the theory right? Asking for a friend.

  • Summary of video:
    get swole

  • I’ve found from eating gluten and wheat free cerial pasta and bread has helped me lose a few kgs and helps my ibs. Also reducing dairy eggs chocolate crisps and takeaways helps the body.

  • important, i like the try of being professional / science im witholding judgement if that is done properly enoth because i did not look into all the stuff here jet but thumbs up and thank you for the video =)

  • Month three of IF, Calorie Counting, Walking and low carb, finally seeing my abs at 50! Lost 20 some Lbs, more than my goal. Why didn’t I know about this 10 yrs ago?! Happy going into the new year!

  • I looked this up because a binge eating video got recommended to me and I never really understood what bulimia is.. I feel really sorry for everyone going through this and I hope you will feel better and trust someone to help you!!

  • so if i lost weight to be quiet skinny, therefore if i do reverse dieting could i just stay at that weight forever? i dont want to get ripped but more of a slim body type is that possible?

  • I regularly ate theseWhole grain and gluten in large quantity i dont think so it makes metabolism slow infact if iam miss my any meal then my body weights drop very quicky

  • how can i lose my last 8 lbs. my body is staying at 180.. if i can get to 172 i would be ripped. but i cant lose any more weight. my body says no..

  • I wonder if slow metabolism could be a good thing. In the movie pet cemetery the mom said dogs died quickly due to their high metabolism

  • I was pretty close to anorexia because I would eat only like 1000 calories a day and I was pretty active so it wasn’t good. Now I have a lot of loose skin and I lost quite a bit of muscle. I’m trying to recover

  • I usually eat around 1000 calories and I genuinely feel full…like I actually cannot stuff anymore food in my stomach cause i eat healthy food which is mostly low in calories but is a big portion, any advice?

  • I’m 6ft6, 35, and 240 lbs. 2000 calories and I’m not losing ANYTHING it’s ridiculous.

So am I damaged? I am working out though. So I increased calories, now I’m just getting fat. I don’t get it…

  • I now weight 5657 kg, ive lost 16 kg, and im trying to lose 10-15 more. Ive been eating 1200 calories for veryyy long now, and suddenly now, my weight has stopped completely at 56-57 kg, if i eat anything above, I gain weight:/ i dont wanna gain anything so its scary, i wanna lose like 10-15 more.. its ironic cuz im using myfitnesspal, which was recommended by my teacher, and it says eating 1200 calories is totally ok. I Wonder why we never were learned what would happen when you start the 1200 after a long period of time

  • perfect timing for me, thanks for this update. I needed confirmation about my metabolism being asleep and didnt realize these symptoms were signs of that truth. Its not how much you work out or how little you eat, its about activating your metabolism. But no matter what I do it just wont wake up. For the past 3 months i have kept to an eating window between 11-3, supplements and a good keto diet, hiit 3 times a week the way you suggest and 1 hour hot yoga twice a week & i have a vigorous work week with 2 solid days of rest. I have watched all your pertinent videos & done so much research and feel i am doing everything right but nothing is changing. Its in Gods hands for sure but what is the missing piece????

  • Uhmm just a Quick question, does redbull or any other energy drink boost your metabolism? I think it does Because it has a lot of cafeine but i am not sure

  • I’m 5’5′ 135 just turned 50! n I’ve eating like a pig my entire life. I eat insane amounts of what ever I want. A hole cheese cake.. 2″ thick 20 oz ribeye from sams club with a massive baked potato with half a tub of sour cream n half stick of butter.. baked beans n Cole slaw.. 4 big Macs n 2 LG fries n a chocolate shake.. 40 bbq wings with ranch.. the doctor says my cholesterol levels are below average normal.. n I’m in better shape than most 25 yr olds. Guess it’s true what’s been said about having good family jeans. Crazy..

  • I know this has nothing to do with the subject of the video but I’ve been doing IF 8/16 for 3 months now… I don’t really know how to control the food I’m eating on eating window, I still tend to over eat and eat even if I’m not hungry. I get this weird obsession with food. How do I stop this? It’s very unhealthy and I’m pretty sure I’m ruining the cycle

  • not sure if it is because i’m just undereating or exercising too much(also after binging that happens Sometimes) but i havent gotten my period in 4 months and Im starting to worry i might have an eating problem:(

  • Binge watching your videos 😉 going on vacation this weekend. Me and my besty are going to start strength training when I get back. Any tips? I didn’t too over do it.

  • You don’t find acv were I live.. and no it’s not in a 3 world country, it’s Spain. There is no way to find healthy food here, people are all about sugar, alcohol and fast food that sucks

  • I struggled with bulimia for ten years. People will never understand the reduction in quality of live, the depression, the ruining of relationships, missed opportunities, self confidence.

It was hard but I realized how I was destroying my life, not going to work, staying isolated from shame and embarrassment, destroying my microbiome, my endocrine system. If anyone needs someone to talk too, I’m here. Your not alone… peace and love guys

  • I used to binge and purge. But one day i heard the body still absorbs some of what you eat even if you purge, so I started to eat clean and still purge (usually at night). It’s just addicting and I can’t stop. I was always a little overweight and it always bothered me, so when I started seeing results from purging there was no stopping to it.

  • im running 5 miles a day, and only eat about 800 calories, and my weight doesn’t change. I look like im getting more lean but im still big compared to my initial weight. Im soo depressed because of it ):

  • Am I bulimic? When I eat, food often stays in my throat. By flexing the muscles in my neck and tilting my head back I can most of the times get it down. But if I can’t do it in a set time a. Gag reflex kicks in and I have to rush to the bathroom to throw up. Once started it’s like a domino effect causing me to throw up more and more until I’ve emptied my entire stomach. After which I then wipe the water from my eyes, clean myself up and go back to the dinner table to continue eating. It doesn’t normally happen a second time during the same meal. It can be a big problem when eating out and the toilet isn’t available.

Ps this only happens when starting a meal. Like the first few bites are hard to swallow but it’s like I get use to it after a bit

  • I have all these and have for over 20 years (got past the depression though). I gain weight so easily, always bloated and have a very hard time losing. Please do the follow up. This actually makes sense now. I have had chronic headaches for so long, no medication helps and have even had physical therapy for relief. Anxious to find out how to correct/reverse this!

  • Thanks for the video content! Sorry for the intrusion, I would appreciate your thoughts. Have you heard about Dinanlinson Trained Body Approach (probably on Google)? It is a great exclusive product for learning how to control your metabolism to lose weight minus the normal expense. Ive heard some amazing things about it and my close friend Aubrey finally got great results with it.

  • Why do I feel like I want to be skinny and I know this isn’t gonna bring me anywhere, but yet I still wish I were sicker than I already am?

  • After eating,I just throw it all up (vomiting) idk what to do. But yes indeed I feel so fat even tho I’m not fat but I do really feel fat

  • Can you drink acv in your water all day long? I have been and it was asked if it effects the kidneys in a negative way? Please adivse

  • Hi. I used to do this a lot but I can’t do it anymore because all my food has been removed from my house. I’d still do it but I can’t. Do i still have it

  • My best friend might have bulimia. I want to be there for her and support her, I’m doing the best I can but she lives in Germany and I live in the US. Im trying to get her to go seek medical treatment and see a therapist but she doesn’t want to

  • I used to have anorexia nervosa and lost my period

My friend has depression and bulimia nervosa and I dunno how to help

It is pretty different and while I would at least eat, she doesn’t
I here her throw up and I can see the simularities but I need advice

  • You CAN find comfort and assurance and confidence on the other side of this. The thoughts don’t go away, but the impulse and the drive to ‘get up and do it now’ DOES lose force. Keep at it. Slipping up is fine. Just keep the course. You’re beautiful. You’re worth it. You got this.

  • I don’t really purge because I don’t like to vomit, but I binge a lot, and when I try to reach a goal and fail/Give up I binge and then stop eating, but then I give up and the cycle repeats itself, and my parents make the situation worse, they keep telling me I’m fat and that I eat a lot and so many worse things, I can’t contact a doctor by my own because I am only 13. I even cry about the situation I am in.

  • Hi I would like to ask one question, I have adrenal fatigue, I have LOT OF salt crawings I eat like 400-500 % more salt than regular person Just to be pleased with salinity. Does it mean that my body dont have any aldosterone which can hold sodium in body? I have mostly time low blood pressure, I have started to drink lemon+himalayan salt in water + vitamine C I am wonder if I am helping my self.. it is 3 days and I am fatigued more than before. When you talked about aldosterone, when it is realased, cortisol is realased aslo to the body.. so when I drink 0,5 L of lemon water + salt in it, my body wants to keep that sodium in my body and then realase aldosteron also with cortisol and thats make me more fatigued? I am not on keto, I know that when I am on keto I have to eat more salt, I am on low carb but not keto, but despite that.. my body do not hold any of salt.. My adrenals are not healing it self.. my fat digestion is terrible.. Dont know how to help myself.. Trying to keep blood sugar levels low but not in ketosis which is burden of adrenals it makes them work harder just to produce cortisol to keep blood sugar at the normal range ( when it is low it make cortisol to boost blood sugar.. ) what I am supposed to do.. IS it possible that this lemon salt water drink makes it even worse? Is there anyone who have same problems? I would be glad if someone helps me just little bit. Thanks

  • Thomas Delauer, you are a genius but you get so in depth that although I can follow you I have a hard time filing the information in my head. If you haven’t already you need to make up video and book packages targeted at different groups. with a sort of over all weight loss/muscle growth/general health overview organizing the basic must do advice from the more advanced stuff. I am a cheap bastage but if you did one for over 40s that could sort of be my health/weight loss/workout bible, I would buy one.

  • I don’t think I have bulimia but I think I have Anorexia. I can’t control what I eat but then I get panic attacks. Even tho I am severely underweight.

  • i do it almost everytime i eat something ( for 2 years now) and nobody knows about it. i am just embarrassed about it but still don’t want to give it up because i want to reach my goals weight( lost 15kg with it) i just really don’t know what to do at this point, i know it’s really bad for me but i can’t to anything about it

  • I’m doing a 1270kcal diet right now and I’m stalling so bad in the past month I’ve only lost 2lbs pounds. I’m a young woman who is 5′ 11″ tall with a sedentary lifestyle. But idk what im doing wrong. It’s so frustrating because I weight everything I eat.

  • Hi Jeff I’m 18 y/o 190 cm and weight 87kg i want to do a reverse diet i have been eating for the last 5 months 1000 calories each day and last week i lost 1.3 kg and the week before 1kg what do you think i should do?

  • I barely eat anything, I rarely feel hungry and I have a habbit of just chewing some gum when I am. I used to eat alot but I’ve gained weight now and I’m so confused . When I do eat it’s usually fruit or something and drink SO MUCH coffee… idk what’s going on. Someone help

  • my mom calls me fat everyday because I eat too much and I currently have 136.687 pounds. I really want to stop eating but I just cant. I cant make myself throw up. can someone help me??

  • Thank you so much, Thomas. This video is exactly what I needed to help me. Btw, I love your technical explanations very clear & helps understand mechanisms involved. Enthusiastically subscribed!

  • Hey I’m 14, about to be 15 in September. I weigh close to 230 pounds at only 5’1. Im looking for someone to just motivate each other, text each other when u feel like binge eating and send each other our meals and talk about how it makes us feel I guess. My instagram is @ionlycameforthedrugs and my snapchat is hooded21 (but plz mention you’re from YouTube otherwise idk cuz a lot of random people add me and text me )

  • I’m sorry, but this directly conflicts with so many of Thomas previous videos that this one is seriously disturbing. I had dry skin when I ate like a horse and shit every morning like a Swiss clock. I’ve always craved dark chocolate, now and when I was at my maximum weight.

  • Is 3 months enough to ruin a metabolism? I have been eating from 600 to 1000/1200 cals a day for i think around 3 to 4 months,i wanted to lose fat but i woulf get so hungry that i would binge,im stuck in this binge/restrict cycle and im sick of it, i binged today but i want to get back on track, hos do i start after a binge?

  • After eating,I just throw it all up (vomiting) idk what to do. But yes indeed I feel so fat even tho I’m not fat but I do really feel fat

  • I always made myself purge, without even binge eating, I would eat a normal meal and then barf it all out. I thought it was completely normal to do that and I didn’t even know this was a disorder until I found out yesterday and was shook. It has definitely worked in maintaining the goal weight I reached by lowering my calorie intake to 1000 per day for 6 months though.

  • I feel like Thomas just described my life in a 7 minute video. However, I have been on Keto for over ten years and can’t seem to lose the weight, really looking forward to the next video.

  • Fit the girl women note as twice a bitty day bolts boat wrong wind girly off containts mult both side witness winning left nerve single

  • I’ve heard that if you overeat protein, your body converts that excess protein into carbs, which ends up being the same as having eaten all those carbs. Is there any truth to that? Is overeating protein dangerous after all?

  • When recovering from an eating disorder metabolism damage is real and psychologically regaling fat to your body set point is definitely a struggle

  • Omg I have all of that and Im only 16!! What should I do?? I tried doing keto but after a year I ended up orthorexic, anorexic and very sick so my parents and doctors forbid me and I have to have carbs atleast 2 meals a day, generally yogurt, fruit or potatoes (I eat 2 times a day anyway ugh). I avoid sugar and fast 16/18hrs a day too. Still, I have all of the symptoms anyway:(

  • Dear Thomas.
Thank you for your videos on women on ketosis!

I’m on second year of IF healthy ketosis, but my period always almost kicks me out despite no changes.
It feels like the keto flu all over again joint pain, cold hands and feet, shivering, headaches. When I push myself into longer fasts or exercise I feel even worse.

Does the hormone cycle estrogen/progesterone effect and slow metabolism over time? Or could it be the stress on the body?

I did research but can’t find anything useful, only confusing information on weight loss and the menstrual cycle. I’m very lean, and my goal is not weight loss, but better health.

If possible a video on this topic would be very helpful!

  • Binge watching your videos 😉 going on vacation this weekend. Me and my besty are going to start strength training when I get back. Any tips? I didn’t too over do it.

  • Jeff you may to mention meal frequency as that plays a part in metabolism, just my 2 cents. You can actually eat more and lose body fat when your body is constantly fed 5 to 6 meals versus 2 to 3 meals.

  • I’m doing a 1270kcal diet right now and I’m stalling so bad in the past month I’ve only lost 2lbs pounds. I’m a young woman who is 5′ 11″ tall with a sedentary lifestyle. But idk what im doing wrong. It’s so frustrating because I weight everything I eat.

  • i’m not diagnosed with eating disorder but i’ve been very conscious about my weight so i started trying “diet” but i got so obsessed with my weight and tried restricting my calories and i wouldn’t eat over 500 calories. i also tried fasting for few days which always lends me to bingeing and purging. i also drink lax tea afterwards because of how scared i am to gain weight. no one knows about what im going through right now and i’ve been like this for almost 4 years (on and off) and idk what to do because i think im getting worse now. i know if i tell someone they will probably don’t care and just tell me to “eat”.

  • Maybe one day you could do some research on naltrexone’s effect on eating disorders I was just in a research study related to that

  • I only eat during 4-7pm I don’t eat or drink at all during the day everyday of the week. I also use to count my calories during the day, but now that I don’t eat during the day I have stopped counting them. Is that bulimia? Can someone help me?

  • Everybody has a slow metabolism, that’s why u exercise to speed up your metabolism. Also improving your breathing and blood circulation……

  • I got very sick the first I purged. Thought after that I could control myself and ignored getting help for it. Now it seems like anytime I gain weight. I just automatically get nauseous and have to throw up. Is that a thing?

  • I looked this up because a binge eating video got recommended to me and I never really understood what bulimia is.. I feel really sorry for everyone going through this and I hope you will feel better and trust someone to help you!!

  • Hey Jeff, just wanted to ask, I’m part of the group that is on a deficit just to cut down not for any specific thing and doing it slowly…Would you do diet breaks(1-2 weeks maintenance) as well as a one or two refeed days while Dieting slowly or would you just choose one or the other?

  • If I weigh 220, I am around 18% body fat and haven’t ever dropped under 10 even when I was taking cycling very seriously as a teenager. Now that I have been weight lifting and eating a lot to gain muscle I have been dieting from around 20%. I believe I can reach 12% before it becomes really hard for me. Should I start implementing 2 non-caloric deficit days a week once I feel that I am plateauing in the body fat loss department? I am also doing 18-6 intermittent fasting to make the caloric deficit easier and some other health benefits

  • You guys are lucky you,I do the opposite I force myself to eat to get fat I get judged a lot when I was2 they kept saying I was gonna die my problem is I can’t gain weight

  • I’ve been purging every morning and now even at anytime. My purging is involuntary. How do I know if I have bulimia I’m sacred to ask my mom to send me to a doctor she might think I’m just kidding and making stuffm

  • Thank you so much, Thomas. This video is exactly what I needed to help me. Btw, I love your technical explanations very clear & helps understand mechanisms involved. Enthusiastically subscribed!

  • I am on GreenDetox #6,7,8. This stuff gave me back 25 years or more of wear and tear on my body. I have lost about 40 pounds and the increase in flexibility was a shock. At first, the pain of a 1982 auto wreck(bad one) came back 20%, but soon disappeared with continuing GDtx use. Apparently I had isolated the damaged part of my nervous system since chopping a small telephone pole in half with a VW van, but now that pain is entirely gone, and the other restoration is good news and appreciated. This GreenDetox is 100% vegetarian, right? Our grandmothers knew WHY we eat green leafy vegetables and homegrown everything. Our parents knew we should, and we are realizing the perils of cutting corners with our diets. TDeLauer and Green Detox, lifetime A+++

  • Can you drink acv in your water all day long? I have been and it was asked if it effects the kidneys in a negative way? Please adivse

  • Thanks for the great explanation! My poor metabolism is so off whack I gain on 500cals a day‍♀️ I thought it was just my age (and stupid eating habits) but at least I know it’s fixable now

  • I like this video. Straight to the point, intro gives the basis into the topic without dragging it out. Informative. And 8 minutes. I can’t stand some of these fitness people who say they have the facts and they go on FOREVER about and then throw in physiological jargon to confuse you more so THANK YOU.

  • Hey I’m 14, about to be 15 in September. I weigh close to 230 pounds at only 5’1. • You guys are lucky you,I do the opposite I force myself to eat to get fat I get judged a lot when I was2 they kept saying I was gonna die my problem is I can’t gain weight

  • Counting calories has always been so difficult for me because when I first started I was wayyy too young and uneducated so I thought 500 calories was a good amount… it was not so I was in this cycle of eating nothing for days to binging and eventually I was eating healthy and exercising and loosing weight while feeling full which was great until my parents thought I was eating too much (I was eating a lot of vegetables which made it look bigger but I also had rice and beans but the vegetables rlly made it look like I was eating mountains of food when it was like 400 cals total) so then to prove them I wasn’t eating too much I counted calories again, got obsessed again and I still struggle with it:((

  • I do 1 day fast after every 15 days
    (18hr)
And 36 hr fast every 6 month.
    Though its from religious aspect.
And add turmeric in almost everything as our food culture.
    Sorry for my bad English.
But after watching this video i found out,all this is helping my metabolism

  • One thing, What are some carb meals with no fat?
So no oil, butter fatty meats like salmon or beef?
So maybe like tomato scauce pasta with chicken?
Or like literally just eat rice and veg with soy sc?
Thanks for this amazing video, im ripe with belly fat that wont go away been walking like 2 hours a day, nothing! Now im going to buy some weights and start strength training. You saved me.

  • Last 4 months i had hard depression, and 2 weeks ago i start purging no reason….Everytime i eat after 1-2 hours i feel like puke….and ended up purging…..Is depression related to bulmia?(excuse my bad english) It’s so hard to live like this…..

  • I wonder if slow metabolism could be a good thing. In the movie pet cemetery the mom said dogs died quickly due to their high metabolism

  • Whole grains are empty calories? They contain fiber, protein, niacin, magnesium, phosphorus, manganese…

This is misleading information and he cites no sources or research to back up his claims.
Also, I regularly eat many of these foods and my metabolism is just fine, thanks.

  • Too much protein is bad according to Dr. Becky Gillaspy. She says that if you take in more protein than your body can use it has to be excreted which is hard on your kidneys, or your body converts it to glucose. Protein also spikes insulin which I recently learned. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LN3pYh4rTH0

  • I want to do the Keto but he gives so many video, so much information, how in the world as a newbie so I even begin. All do this and don’t do this, make sure have enough or don’t do too much of these. Head spin. What I need is a basic day, calories per day. Do work out, don’t work out. Help lol

  • im trying to gain muscle, im 15 years old, 5″11 and weigh 145 lb, i happen to have quite a fast metabolism, it do be kinda hard to eat a lot doe

  • I destroyed my metabolism doing a 100/200 kcal diet and I alone I tried to recover by myself and now I eat 900/1000 kcal daily, I hope this video will help me, my next goal is 1400 kcal, gimme motivation please✨✨

Remember your mental health is more important than a number on the scale

  • This is NUTS. I eat peanut butter every day. I am a HEALTHY weight. We are bioindivdual what is harmful to you might not be harmful to me. Eat your peanut butter and bread and see how it affects you then ADUST.

  • Wow, this is the most useful resource about weight loss I’ve found to date. Thank you so much for putting this out for free consumption!

  • When I was child I was in overweight, then I fell into the clutches of anorexia. After recovery, I now I eat a lot of calories 2500 aproximatelly and my weight is 43 kilos (I am 14 years old) It seems to be my set point, but all my familly is in overweight. I do not know what is hapening with my metabolism! I do not understand nothing!

  • I can eat and still be full 6 hrs later i have no motabolism at all! Ive been on keto for a week now its bloody hard but not as hard as being fat and unhappy!

  • Whenever someone brings up starvation mode, tell them to ask the Jews and POW’s in nazi Germany about starvation mode…..
Promise there wasn’t one single person that came outta those camps fat…..

  • One video about speeding up metabolism dr oz said eat peanuts… now we should stay away. Y’all I can’t stand a “dr.” That only cates about buzz words and money.

  • I had just started to think about cheat meal and should I do them in order to lose weight even if I wasn’t really wanting to. This came at a perfect time. Thanks.

  • Once a week???

    Nope, i did it 3times a day.
But i dont really care about my weight anyway, i dont have low self esteem or whatever. i did it cuz i cant control my eating habits, snacking all day and cant stop:(

  • You don’t find acv were I live.. and no it’s not in a 3 world country, it’s Spain. There is no way to find healthy food here, people are all about sugar, alcohol and fast food that sucks

  • YES I am excited about this. Sea kelp, chromium, acv morning drink, strength training, half caffeine/decaf, 36 hr fast ending in the morning, tumeric. Cold shower. Keto. Totally doable. Should the fast be once a month? Every other week?

  • Wow really fascinating stuff! Thanks for this video! I was 200lbs and lost 21lbs and am still 23% body fat, haven’t lost weight in weeks, this video made me realizes few things a few truths I need to adjust.

  • Wow, this is the most useful resource about weight loss I’ve found to date. Thank you so much for putting this out for free consumption!

  • I worry about my weight bc of self consciousness and athleticism. I tend to eat a lot so I decided to eat how ever I want whenever I want, then only drink water for two days of the week. Does that count?

  • With all do respect…. all of what you say is just a bunch of B.S!!!! Every day you come up with a new theory and totally different foods to eat… I became sooooo confused… what is considered healthy today… becomes unhealthy tomorrow…. I stopped watching the show long time back because I don’t need these guys to tell me what to eat…. I follow my own instincts… fruits, vegetables, sea food and little of the other kinds of meats and poultry… exercise and good night sleep…. that’s all… I live a healthy life

  • How do you fast for 36 hour what can you drink what activity and what do you eat when you’re done with your fasting I would like a walk through I have no idea what to do! thanks for the good video it help a lot!

  • #1 Pay attention to thyroid (get more Iodide and chromium)
#2 ACV drink (10-12oz water, 1-2 TBSP ACV, 1/2 tsp cayenne, lemon, pinch of salt)

  • That’s pretty funny, I just watched Rachel Ray say the other day that ACV didn’t do what everybody thinks it doesn’t for weight loss. You gotta look at the source sometimes.? I myself take closer to 5tbsp. I try for 2after every meal & 1before bed.

  • So, this video is pretty old now but I’m hoping you’re still around to answer questions! My question is this: how do you know how to gradually increase cals per week/ per month/ whatever if you eat back a portion of exercise calories every day anyway? I.e., my deficit was set to 1360 for a looooong timebut when I started running (a lot, at least 5x a week and usually 4-5 miles per day), I suddenly was eating anywhere from 1600-1800 with exercise calories. I didn’t notice a significant effect on my weight (still got to my goal, still lost), but I switched over to maintenance a few days ago — now set to 1600. With exercise cals, that means now per day I eat anywhere from 1600-2200 (it’s totally random depending on how hungry I am), but I’m worried I’m going to gain just because of the drastic jump from the initial 1360 to 1600. Is this too much to jump, or should I monitor and adjust after a few weeks?:/ MFP has gotten me really confused with the ‘right way’ to increase to maintenance, and I’m still not even sure if 1600 is right to begin with since my TDEE is apparently somewhere between 1890-2100 depending on the week. ugh. Worked really hard to get to 18% body fat, and I don’t want to mess up that number entirely by going too hard too fast with maintenance, but I can’t physically deprive any longer.

  • When recovering from an eating disorder metabolism damage is real and psychologically regaling fat to your body set point is definitely a struggle

  • To everyone who is struggling… reach out for help. I mean it. Don’t be embarassed. Be open to others and be open for help. Because it is 100% possible to reach a healthy mindset. Stay strong and NEVER give up.

  • I was hoping he would talk about intermittent fasting and very low carb diets and metabolism. It took me 8 weeks to loose 10 pounds. I still have 15 to go. I have lost 30 pounds in 4 months. I just took a week long break and now an getting back to low carb 2 meals a day again. I am not weighing myself. I find it better for me if I weigh only once a month.

  • This is NUTS. I eat peanut butter every day. I am a HEALTHY weight. We are bioindivdual what is harmful to you might not be harmful to me. Eat your peanut butter and bread and see how it affects you then ADUST.

  • Working out makes me feel more depressed and anxious, it’s insane but when I am not working out, I am happier. I think the anxiety is that time spent exercising feels like time wasted when I have 10-15 much more pressing things to do every day between work and school…

  • I eat veggies and mostly vegan but I have hit a plateau. I believe my metabolism has been damaged by abilify injections. It has shut my metabolism into the grave. I cannot lose weight eating fruits and veggies. I don’t eat bread or sweets and I swim. My metabolism has been altered for the worse. Am I bound to be fat for life?

  • I’m so confused… I started losing weight and I’ve lost 16 pounds so far and I’ve been eating 1000-1200 calories a day playing basketball twice a week..is what I’m doing ok?

  • How long should we break from the HIIT? I’m literally gaining weight and in a calorie deficit a year after being septic and being in ketosis from being so sick. I need my bmr to work again. I eat well and exercise. So frustrating.

  • Hey to the person who is reading this! I’m looking for someone to do a recovery with. I feel like doing it with someone will make me more motivated.

I have been eating 200-300 calories a day for almost a month now, and I am SO SCARED to start eating normally or to increase my calories. I don’t know if my metabolism is damaged or not. Someone please help me

  • Isn’t that overeating protein = converting calories into muscels somehow contradictional to the warnings from eating too much low fat proteins on keto because it will be converted into glucose? I’m sure that this one isnt that simple to be putted into one sentence, it just gave me some food for thoughts

  • I have bulimia but my purging behaviour is working out waaaaaaaaaay too much. And i got bulimia from not having enough food and when i got food i ate it excessively because i was afraid it would disappear. And i am at a normal weight. I got professionally diagnosed without my parents knowledge

  • How often do you reset? I have been keto/paleo and IF for about 2 yrs and have hit a wall. Also when you go back to a “normal” diet how long is your reset?

  • Thank you much. Great idea, fast for 2 days then eat Keto for a week, adding ACV then fast again for 2 days. etc. No snacks, but Do exercise

  • I have been on a Keto diet for 17 month(lost 55 lbs). I also have hypothyroidism(40yrs).
I have found if I elevate my caloric intake by only 200 cal per day I will easily can gain several pounds per week.
My normal caloric intake is already 500 cals below what most website say my normal should be.
I done exercise 45 minutes everyday at my lunch hour.
I also only eat one meal a day (22hrs fasting and 2hrs window for eating).
    Anyone have a suggestion?

  • Wow! Exactly what I needed! This is the best information on metabolism and reverse diet that I’ve found so far. Thanks so much for sharing!

  • As someone 8 weeks into a diet, I’m wondering how you go back to maintenance for a break. If you’re saying your metabolism down turns…. How do you know what your NEW maintenance would be for the break? I. E. How do you ensure you don’t accidentally end up back in a surplus?

  • I have struggled with eating disorders for nearly a decade and it has done so much damage to my metabolism that the only way I can lose weight is starving. I can’t lose weight unless I’m eating less than 500 kcal a day. Thank God there’s a way to fix it, I was so defeated… I was about to relapse but this gave me hope:)

  • I ate under 1,000 calories daily or most days and panicked when I went over 1,000. It’s bad that I had to even think that, it was mainly myself and peer pressure. Mainly me, I don’t blame anyone else but me tbh. I want to get my fast metabolism back

  • I dont binge eat though. And i cant help it, its everything i eat and my dad makes me eat 2 times a day. Its sometimes when i drink. I cant help it anymore, i tell myself i wont but then i have to or my thoughts wont go away

  • Dude you make it so complicated. Totally unnecessary. You really think people are going to follow all these steps? I will make it very easy for you. eat as frequent as possible while staying within you maintance calories. -stay active. -drink shit ton of water. sleep well 7-9 hours

  • If I am fat-adapted wouldn’t body fat be used to make up any caloric deficit,? Why would intermittent fasting, including daily 16/8 on a keto diet, result in metabolic slowdown?

  • Fit the girl women note as twice a bitty day bolts boat wrong wind girly off containts mult both side witness winning left nerve single

  • Bro, could you please make a video how you do your hairstyle? I am becoming jacked by the hair is my real problem…this is not a joke at all!

  • Omg I can’t believe this
I’ve stopped counting calories for a while now and yeah I’m not losing weight so I searched this up
Guys I am not kidding when I tell you today I ate only 3 cups of rice (i guess could be a little more or a little less) and I can’t believe it’s only 216 calories!!! That’s the only thing I ate today and only drank water so no additional calories
And actually today I felt like I ate alot and was going to reduce the amount tomorrow
I can’t believe this I’ve been going for less than 200 a day you guys I swear I mostly just drank tea with artificial sweetener that has 6 calories a pack and was even mad at those 6 calories:'(
What do I do? I want to lose weight in a span of a month and half but at the same time my metabolism obviously won’t allow it.
In the past I did a crazy diet where I ate one fruit for breakfast a soup for lunch and greek yogurt for dinner, I ALWAYS felt hungry but I stuck to it anyway
I strongly believe this is what damaged my metabolism greatly, I even noticed my butt getting VERY small after it I think I lost muscles:'( please help me I’m desperate

  • not all calories are equal. you can trick yourself into a false deficit or surplus. And we still have the way our body process the calories

  • Idk what’s going on with me. I’m a 6 ft male 18 years old and if I eat over 900 calories I’ll gain so much weight it’s so upsetting and frustrating idk what to do

  • I’ve not even watched the video yet but I just wanna let you know you looked better in the “before ” or “slow” picture in the thumbnail XD overly muscular guys look horrid. I think a combination of fat ad muscle looks good.

  • Can talk about constipation and how about to use a carb manager in more detail. I didn’t even bother using one. I have lost 50 in 5 months. Just ate lots of veggies some protein and fat and stayed away from every else.

  • I got very sick the first I purged. Thought after that I could control myself and ignored getting help for it. Now it seems like anytime I gain weight. I just automatically get nauseous and have to throw up. Is that a thing?

  • I have a fairly high body fat 18-22 I think but I also have a lot of muscle and cannot afford to not gain / lose any muscle mass while I cut down as I’m playing rugby at a decent level and trying to get to the next level any tips?

  • I have anorexia, binge-purge-sub type. I don’t eat as long as I can, (can last for days) but when I do eat, I eat until it hurts to move, then make myself vomit until I’m dry heaving stomach acid. I have been through therapy, but my mom just thinks that yelling at me to eat large meals will fix it. My stomach is so small and not use to food, that I’m stuck in the fetale position if the food is left in my stomach.

  • Excelente Thomas.. gishhh and I thought I had all those simpstoms because I am always around 12% body fat! All of those I have.. but I don’t want to gain fat help Thomas.. you know me I don’t skip a single of your videos

  • I was pretty close to anorexia because I would eat only like 1000 calories a day and I was pretty active so it wasn’t good. Now I have a lot of loose skin and I lost quite a bit of muscle. I’m trying to recover

  • NextLevelDiet really took my diet to the next level. Not only diet, but life. I can see improvements in many aspects of my life. Guys, you rock! #*Next Level Diet*

  • Can you do a video about blood vessel damage from cheat meals as these studies say, please

  • For all the skinny people tryna gain weight sit down and play videogames eat while you play and remember, if you poop more than twice a week your not gonna gain weight

  • I eat 300-800 calories a day. I do 2 1/2 hours a dance and 1 hours dance of a day. I am 113 pounds (15 pounds overweight) 85th %. If I eat 1,200 calories I gain 2-4 pounds

  • How do I know what my resting metabolic rate is? I‘m doing strength training and cardio each 3 days a week about 1 hour, eating about 1500kcal, without losing any weight. I thought eating that much would be normal…BUT YOU GUYS ARE EATING 2000+ Calories?!

  • I lost 53 pounds in 4 months doing next to nothing, now I am brisk walking and now I stop losing weight, When I went from 750 calories to 850 calories I began to slowly lose more weight. Great Video!!

  • How to fix a slow metabolism:
    1. Focus on resistance training
    2. Slowly reduce cardio
    3. Increase caloric intake
    4. Work on relationship with food
    5. Focus on getting the nutrients you need
    6. Work on relationship with body
    7. Eat fat and protein
    8. Get sleep, reduce stress

  • My doctor says I should reduce my red meat consumption because my Uric acid is elevated and he put me on a drug. My trainer says that’s not true what do you think?

  • Can i do it with bodyweight workouts? Im too young for gym, and my mother doesn’t want to let me go there, because i’m not fully recorved from ed..

  • Can talk about constipation and how about to use a carb manager in more detail. I didn’t even bother using one. I have lost 50 in 5 months. Just ate lots of veggies some protein and fat and stayed away from every else.

  • not sure if it is because i’m just undereating or exercising too much(also after binging that happens Sometimes) but i havent gotten my period in 4 months and Im starting to worry i might have an eating problem:(

  • everyone is saying “get help” but it’s really hard. I’m super embarrassed and don’t know the first step, especially when I don’t want my family to know

  • I’m so confused… I started losing weight and I’ve lost 16 pounds so far and I’ve been eating 1000-1200 calories a day playing basketball twice a week..is what I’m doing ok?

  • YES I am excited about this. Sea kelp, chromium, acv morning drink, strength training, half caffeine/decaf, 36 hr fast ending in the morning, tumeric. Cold shower. Keto. Totally doable. Should the fast be once a month? Every other week?

  • Hey to the person who is reading this! I’m looking for someone to do a recovery with. I feel like doing it with someone will make me more motivated.

I have been eating 200-300 calories a day for almost a month now, and I am SO SCARED to start eating normally or to increase my calories. I don’t know if my metabolism is damaged or not. Someone please help me

  • Yup people act shocked when I say I don’t spend more than 30-45 min at the gym and try to tell me I need to be there for several hours when I’m in more shape than them lol

  • If I am fat-adapted wouldn’t body fat be used to make up any caloric deficit,? Why would intermittent fasting, including daily 16/8 on a keto diet, result in metabolic slowdown?

  • If I currently spend 1hr working out most days (moderate high cardio with light moderate weight) How do I know if that is too much for my body in terms of causing inflammation?
I’ve also been skeptical of ACV but now I’m willing to give it a shot, it’s ok for fasting right?

  • I got diagnosed with bulimia but I don’t really fast or purge after binging… I eat like 700 calories the day after binging. Is that really bulimia?

  • anyone how if he has made a video on the other side of it? about the difficulty with gaining weight (what seams like a fast metabolisms)

  • so Eric said that eating more to lose weight isn’t a thing, but what about Stephanie in the ‘all in’ situation? She ate more and eventually lost weight. Did she go into a deficit?

  • Some facts to know:

You can have anorexia and be overweight or a normal weight. It’s called atypical anorexia.

Also purging isn’t just vomiting or laxative abuse, it can be excessive exercise or spitting out food and only chewing it.

  • Yup, mine has slowed again. Suffer from a too slow thyroid, lost 47 o keto then 7 jumped back on (I thought just rom muscle from more heavy weight lifting) but it’s been months now and my hair and skin is so chronically dry and I’m so incredibly depressed… have to go get it fixed.

  • I have all these and have for over 20 years (got past the depression though). I gain weight so easily, always bloated and have a very hard time losing. Please do the follow up. But in the past couple of years, when I sit in a public room alone (some rooms in my apartment building, for instance), the light goes out! The motion detector is saying, “no living human beings here!”

I’m also really scared of gaining weight, also I try not to eat at all in a day but my parents always force me to eat even tho I can’t I also weight my self like 2 or 3 times a day and I recently started to purge. Can anybody tell me if those are symptoms of bulimia or anorexia?

  • I used to be the chubby girl from school. Everyone called me fat. When I was 13 I lost some weight, but then I was too scared I would become fat again… Has been 10 years and I’m still fighting against bulimia. It’s not easy.

  • I eat 300-800 calories a day. I do 2 1/2 hours a dance and 1 hours dance of a day. I am 113 pounds (15 pounds overweight) 85th %. If I eat 1,200 calories I gain 2-4 pounds

  • Can a person reverse diet by eating 1 block of chocolate extra each week? Soon you will have trained your body to burn an entire slab. That’s the theory right? Asking for a friend.

  • Thank you for going so in depth in the metabolic damage / recovery section. It was very insightful and, in all honesty, it gave me some hope, guidance and peace of mind.

  • And then there are people like me or my father with hyperthyroidism who need to force themselves to eat or we’ll look like sticks in no time

  • So when you say low carb, high-fat diet, what would you consider the right combination of macros for a 51-year-old woman who is 75 to 100 lbs. Overweight?

  • And then there are people like me or my father with hyperthyroidism who need to force themselves to eat or we’ll look like sticks in no time

  • If I currently spend 1hr working out most days (moderate high cardio with light moderate weight) How do I know if that is too much for my body in terms of causing inflammation?
I’ve also been skeptical of ACV but now I’m willing to give it a shot, it’s ok for fasting right?

  • I used to have anorexia nervosa and lost my period

My friend has depression and bulimia nervosa and I dunno how to help

It is pretty different and while I would at least eat, she doesn’t
I here her throw up and I can see the simularities but I need advice

  • I am obsessed with metabolism right now. Many years ago, I was eating only about 900 calories a day AND doing 1.5 hours a day of very rigorous Lifecycling at a gym…and my weight didn’t budge. Technically, I should have been losing a truckload of weight, but, nope. My metabolism slowed to almost zero and I just maintained at that!

  • After eating 1200 calories or less for the past couple months to loose weight, yesterday I ate 1500cals+ and stepped on the scale this morning expecting to gain weight but I was a pound less.

  • I’m 6ft6, 35, and 240 lbs. 2000 calories and I’m not losing ANYTHING it’s ridiculous.

So am I damaged? I am working out though. So I increased calories, now I’m just getting fat. I don’t get it…

  • anyone how if he has made a video on the other side of it? about the difficulty with gaining weight (what seams like a fast metabolisms)

  • Can we have more muscle building tips on keto?
I found too many conflicting research on intermittent fasting and carb intake for muscle building:(

  • Didn’t he basically describe “starvation mode” at 49:40? He described being in a calorie deficit but not losing weight. Removing the deficit caused the weight to go down.

  • I used to have bulimia but it developed into anorexia. My best friend had anorexia that developed into bulimia. My sister currently has bulimia and two of her friends have bulimia, one has anorexia and another has an over eating disorder.

  • Hey man, when are you going to make videos for us hardgainers, fat people, I get it, heck I know how to lose weight if I ever need it how about gaining it, yes we are minority, but need knowledge too!

  • I have porge onece or more but i dont wanna my mom to know that by seeinh a tooth, so i just skip all meals and just eat one and binge i binge under300calories, and after than i exercies 300calorie +200calories burn, and it going around anotherday

  • Love this video…. also liked the shopping for energy drink video a lot… just wished it had more commercialized drinks from the NYC area..lol. I know there bad,,but I just like hearing other people’s reactions..and expressions

  • Coming back to this after being clean for almost a year now. I had bulimia for 4 yrs, 3rd yr being the worst. Making myself throw up 3-5 times a day after bingeing on food. Reading tips and tricks in proana. Chewing and spitting out food. I told myself everyday that I will not do it but there’s this voice that won’t go away unless I purge, so I did.

  • I’m sorry, but this directly conflicts with so many of Thomas previous videos that this one is seriously disturbing. I had dry skin when I ate like a horse and shit every morning like a Swiss clock. I’ve always craved dark chocolate, now and when I was at my maximum weight.

  • I had just started to think about cheat meal and should I do them in order to lose weight even if I wasn’t really wanting to. This came at a perfect time. Thanks.

  • PLEASE share your specific ACV routine! Also, I’d love to hear your workout split and what your week looks like cardio vs lifting, etc. THANKS!

  • Once a week???

    Nope, i did it 3times a day.
But i dont really care about my weight anyway, i dont have low self esteem or whatever. i did it cuz i cant control my eating habits, snacking all day and cant stop:(

  • How to fix a slow metabolism:
    1. Focus on resistance training
    2. Slowly reduce cardio
    3. Increase caloric intake
    4. Work on relationship with food
    5. Focus on getting the nutrients you need
    6. Work on relationship with body
    7. Eat fat and protein
    8. Get sleep, reduce stress

  • Is it good to wake up at like 11am to 11:30 am and eating one banana and waiting till like 5 or 6 pm for dinner and then at like 8:30 pm doing a workout?

  • Thomas Delauer, you are a genius but you get so in depth that although I can follow you I have a hard time filing the information in my head. If you haven’t already you need to make up video and book packages targeted at different groups. with a sort of over all weight loss/muscle growth/general health overview organizing the basic must do advice from the more advanced stuff. I am a cheap bastage but if you did one for over 40s that could sort of be my health/weight loss/workout bible, I would buy one.

Confused.

  • This video changed my whole mindset It’s not bad that I have gained more weight after all this it’s just a part of me healing. tysm

  • Why do I feel like I want to be skinny and I know this isn’t gonna bring me anywhere, but yet I still wish I were sicker than I already am?

  • me clicking on this video as a caveman looking for nutritional tips and tricks: this is like chinese. I didnt understand. And now Im more confused than when I got here. You’re using all these technical terms. Just tell me exactly what to eat and what to do. Lol

  • I don’t binge eat as such, but after everyone meal I force myself to throw up, and to be told that I don’t have this disorder makes me feel a bit disregarded:/

  • I want to be fatter.. No matter how much I eat I can’t gain weight… Everyone want to be anorexic not sure why..Its not attractive..
I always thought voluptuous women is the perfect body type, not the guy from the nightmare before Christmas..

  • Dr Oz need to make up his mind. on this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YErcj40hsXA (reignite metabolism) he said Peanuts are good for metabolism.

  • PLEASE share your specific ACV routine! Also, I’d love to hear your workout split and what your week looks like cardio vs lifting, etc. THANKS!

  • Whole grains are empty calories? They contain fiber, protein, niacin, magnesium, phosphorus, manganese…

This is misleading information and he cites no sources or research to back up his claims.
Also, I regularly eat many of these foods and my metabolism is just fine, thanks.

  • I want to be fatter.. No matter how much I eat I can’t gain weight… Everyone want to be anorexic not sure why..Its not attractive..

  • If you wanna get fat like me
Eat junk food you might not feel well for like a month but you put on something

I’m tryna get slimm and strong so leme avoid these foods

  • As someone who has to get my period back, it’s recommended I don’t exercise. I’m putting on fat. But in the long run, could I replace that fat with muscle? Or am I going to have to restrict calories to do that (which I know is bad)?

  • Depends on how we were to kill the lion.. But, if one could kill a lion with his bare hands! He doesn’t need to watch this video!

  • For all the skinny people tryna gain weight sit down and play videogames eat while you play and remember, if you poop more than twice a week your not gonna gain weight

  • Thank you for going so in depth in the metabolic damage / recovery section. It was very insightful and, in all honesty, it gave me some hope, guidance and peace of mind.

  • I have an important question. I have been stuck on my weight for TWO MONTHS. But I look extremely different… I don’t know what’s going on. Can anyone help?

  • UPDATE: I recently did an entire series on the topic of speeding up your metabolism and even documented my own journey as I sped up my metabolism by 500+ calories. If you’re looking for a more in depth step-by-step on how to go about this process, check out my playlist on Reverse Dieting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1EPonaM_mo&list=PLw1PebUsG2EeckRjPsO9f96yuo2NswIkU

  • I’ve not even watched the video yet but I just wanna let you know you looked better in the “before ” or “slow” picture in the thumbnail XD overly muscular guys look horrid. I think a combination of fat ad muscle looks good.

  • This Josh Axe is full of BS. If you want nutrition advice, stay away from Oz and the crackpots and quacks he brings. Watch Greger’s videos.

  • Why does the state of California label items containing chromium as being cancer causing per prop 65? I thought it was healthy to supplement with it, so now I’m confused…

  • This video changed my whole mindset It’s not bad that I have gained more weight after all this it’s just a part of me healing. tysm

  • At 30 my metabolism slowed down? Makes sense. I was probably at my highest weight mid-30’s whereas I’m at my lowest (adult) weight now at 40… Thanksto Keto!

  • As someone who has to get my period back, it’s recommended I don’t exercise. I’m putting on fat. But in the long run, could I replace that fat with muscle? Or am I going to have to restrict calories to do that (which I know is bad)?

  • Thomas, what you described is hypothyroidism. Feeling cold can be described wearing heavier clothes than normal, for example long sleeves while standing outside in Houston weather, Dry skin or hair fallout so much, sleep all the time wake up and already feeling tired, gaining weight and keep going regardless what you eat.

  • Some facts to know:

You can have anorexia and be overweight or a normal weight. It’s called atypical anorexia.

Also purging isn’t just vomiting or laxative abuse, it can be excessive exercise or spitting out food and only chewing it.
