  • Also, the burgers and gyros are awesome out here in Chicago we have a place called kuma’s corner they have some crazy burgers with band names like the metallic.

  • Everyone thinks we only have deep dish here in Chicago. We do have it but most of us eat thin crust pizza and every neighborhood has great places. Sausage, mushroom, onion, and green pepper is the standard “special” pizza. Do yourself a favor and order one of those from any of the local joints (ask the person at the counter of your hotel or some local at a bar, they’ll know where to send you).

  • 3:04, yah, I’m also being kinda ignored by the only person I don’t want ignoring me my best friend hasn’t texted me for a week☹️
(Edit:) now she hasn’t like actually talked to me for like 3 weeks now

  • Giordanos is the best worth the wait! Only reason why i went jk! Lou wasn’t all that it was ok but if your visiting you must have giordanos!

  • Did you notice how she was lying about her battery percentage first she said 20 then she said 26 her phone wasn’t even charging how did it get to 26 if it wasn’t charging hmmm suspicious and also I’m a big fan no hate it was just a joke but little suspicious

  • Only white Chicagoans who moved here from the suburbs or out of town like Portillos. Its ok, but there’s so many other amazing local spots that are way better.

  • I can not say home much I like this arthritis treatment method “Rοngοdο Ruzο” (Google it) product. I`ve had arthritis in my hands and joints for years, and this item truly helps to relieve a few of the pain. I use this often particularly when the pain is too much, however I only have to spread enough of it on my hands to help make the pain disappear fast..

  • TMI warning but does anyone get a whole bunch of diahrrea when they get super stressed like when I have mental breakdowns I can’t eat anything that day cuz food goes right through me. It goes like this:

    stresses
gets diahrrea and can’t eat cuz I’m stressed
gets stressed about trying not to stress so I can eat
gets stressed about that fact that I can’t stress without getting the shits

    Lmaoooo

  • Top 8 “So Chicago it Hurts” foods:
    1) Mostaccioli this penne pasta dish is an insult even to the term ‘Italian-American cuisine’
    2) Ribs they come from the South and yes they’re everywhere, but family gatherings will often pair them with Mostaccioli, so there you go. And in Chicago the saucier the better.
    3) Atomic Cake damn is it good; chocolate, strawberry, and banana sponges + filling
    4) Breaded Steak sandwich you think you want it with mozzarella, but you actually want it with marinara and peppers.
    5) Gyros Plate just heap together all of the gyros meat and pita you can find, on top of a bedrock of french fries barely contained in a cheap styrofoam package
    6) Chili Cheese Polish now yes these other food items are a bit embarrassing and I understand why only we will like them. But NOT the Maxwell Street Polish, the best hot dog in the world. The chili cheese polish is its slow, fat cousin.
    7) Italian Beef + Sausage combo sandwich thanks, I hate it. This MegaZord of Chicago foods is too dry and heavy.
    8) Pepper & egg sandwich Lent is big here

  • Public House Chicago is the BOMB!!! They have a milkshake decorated dippin dots and topped with a piece of cake that is to die for. Also their handcut French fries are incomparable to anything I’ve ever had. I love this city. One of my favorite places I’ve traveled to

  • @ 0:49 misinformation on deep dish pizza… you don’t place your order then walk away for 30 mins… that’s what you call take out… what you do is as soon as you sit place your order…

  • GO TO FRONTERA GRILL OF RICK BAYLESS, Multi James Beard awarded top Mexican restaurant if you want a unique dining experience in Chicago.

  • In general, any kind of movement is very good against stress. Consider going for a walk / sporting regularly to calm down. It does not have to be exhausting to calm and refresh you.

  • Thanks for your tips. Chicago hot dog and Deep Pan has been tried. Both were a success. NB: A medium size Deep Pan is more than enough for 2 adults and two young teenagers.

  • Great video I also highly recommend canelones, their recipe for lenteja con arroz. I loved their Guiso, Fideos con tuco. Empanadas are amazing especially if they have bits of egg in it. Milanesa is bomb. On the border by Brazil the xis is amazing or the grilled pineapple with cinnamon and sugar. Ñoquis are the bizz!! With some tuco. Chorizo al pan can’t beat. Now for sweet any flavor of membrillo on bread or a biscocho from a panaderia omg!!!! To wash it down get that amazing guaraná. Oh and one weird thing get some rice with mayo on top with choclo and some ground beef.

  • FOODS TO BE AVOIDED for arthritis and joint pains.
    1. Anything with gluten
    2. Night shade vegetables like tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, etc.
    3. Processed fat foods.
    4. Barbecues and blackened foods
    5. Processed sugar such as sodas.

  • You missed the mark on Italian Beef. Portillo’s wet is the absolute best. Pick it up and eat it. If the juice is not running down your arm, you are not doing it right….

  • GREAT meals!! Love how you aren’t restricting yourself & only eating Whole Foods. Only things I would change (I’m a nutrition student (: ) is the sugar intake like add plain Greek, light to no coconut. That’s IT. Your doing fucking great.

  • I’ve had something strange going on.
I have had stiffness and pain in two fingers on either hand and have not been able to make a fist properly for the last 8 months. This has worried me as I am a practicing fine artist. I have been drinking 3-4 cans of diet cola a day during that time and because of a stomach upset 3 days ago I stopped drinking it. My stomach’s still upset now but my fingers feel over 50% better, has anybody ever heard of this happening?

  • Russell’s Barbecue (famous since the 1930’s) in Elmwood Park has great roast beef (tip: pour on a ton of barbecue sauce or it will be too dry. I grew up eating there (love the Ribs, pork sandwiches and hamburgers too).
    russellsbarbecue.net

Yes Portillos has great Italian Beef (try it with American cheese and hot peppers… may not sound good but it really is yummy!!! ) I have to say they have the best cheese burgers!!! You have to try one! Once I did that became my }favorite item on the menu!

  • there’s a lot of great recipe ideas in here!! For me personally, this would be too much food though. I don’t view bagels, chips, salsa, and salty condiments to be healthy…diet is all about balance though!! I’m just surprised these foods would be included in a trying to lose weight video if you see what i’m saying. The last meal looks bomb though!!! P.S that sweater you’re wearing towards the end is SO cute!!

  • Her voice kept saying secretly to me:
“She been through a lot and she has a tragic life story to leave behind apart from success!!”

  • I always love your What I eat in a Day Videos Molly! They’re always so great! I also ope you can do more grocery hauls, because I always love getting new food ideas from those also. Anyway, keep up the great work Molly*

  • Where is the BEST ma and pop DONUTS? I don’t mean Tim Horton, I mean really good donuts? I don’t care if it’s a hole in the wall I LOVE donuts, if anyone has suggestions please…

  • My nerves and my feet are struggling with pain and I also have arthritis (degenerative joint disease) on my lower back. The arthritis treatment “Rοngοdο Ruzο” (Google it) helped me treat this! I used it for my feet, I`ve used it on my neck, elbows and hands. Its awesome results keeps shocking me until now..

  • I think the best place to get pizza in Chicago is the local neighborhood mom and pop spots.

Milano’s in Beverly on 109th and Western has got to be the best pizza I’ve ever had

  • Do you remember the 21st night of September?
Love was changing the minds of pretenders
    While chasing the clouds away

    Our hearts were ringing
In the key that our souls were singing
As we danced in the night
Remember how the stars stole the night away

    Hey hey hey
Ba de ya, say do you remember?
Ba de ya, dancing in September
Ba de ya, never was a cloudy day

Ba duda, ba duda, ba duda, badu
Ba duda, badu, ba duda, badu
    Ba duda, badu, ba duda

    My thoughts are with you
Holding hands with your heart to see you
    Only blue talk and love
Remember how we knew love was here to stay
Now December found the love we shared in September
    Only blue talk and love
Remember true love we share today

    Hey hey hey
Ba de ya, say do you remember?
Ba de ya, dancing in September
Ba de ya, never was a cloudy day

    And we say
Ba de ya, say do you remember
Ba de ya, dancing in September
Ba de ya, golden dreams were shiny days

The bell was ringing, oh oh
    Our souls were singing
Do you remember? never a cloudy day, yow

    And we say
Ba de ya, say do you remember?
Ba de ya, dancing in September
Ba de ya, never was a cloudy day

    And we say
Ba de ya, say do you remember?
Ba de ya, dancing in September
Ba de ya, golden dreams were shiny days

Ba de ya de ya de ya
Ba de ya de ya de ya
Ba de ya de ya de ya de ya

Ba de ya de ya de ya
Ba de ya de ya de ya
    Ba de ya de ya

dont thank me. i cant find the lyrics guy so i commented it xD

  • Why fight or flight is a FEAR response, not a STRESS response
It is a fact that our voluntarily and involuntary muscles are driven by our emotions, particularly when we are afraid or fearful. This ‘flight or fight’ response, or as it is known today as ‘flight fight freezing system’, or FFFS makes your heart race, your internal organs shut down, and primes your muscles to act to defend yourself, or else run for the hills. On the other hand, the simple tensions that occur when we find it hard to make up our minds activate the postural musculature alone, a simple response that shares little in common with the complex neurological and muscular reactions which comprise fear. In other words, see a spider far away and our postural muscles will move because we think, but see a spider on your nose, and all your muscles and a whole lot more will move because we fear. Do these separate instances correspond to the same neurological causes? Of course not. In both cases, you are avoiding the spider, and yet in each case your physiological responses are distinctively different not only in degree but also in kind.
Moreover, in the former case your behavior is driven because you think, and in the latter, it is because you are in fear. The former is due to cortical processes, and the latter is due to more primitive neural processes, centered in the midbrain, that govern the emotion of fear. This is a very simple distinction, verified conceptually as well as empirically (see appendix of linked book for academic sources), but it has not been explained well or has even been entertained in the copious academic and popular estimate of stress. So, our daily stresses and anxieties are distinctive from our fears. They are indeed separate emotions.
It is a remarkable fact that we’ve got stress figured out all wrong. Our hard-wired fear responses are responses to threat, not choice, and are governed by different neurological processes from those cortically based processes that underscore anxiety or tension. Secondly, neuromuscular tension due to choice conflict only activates the postural musculature, and the global changes in physiological activity, from a racing heart, hormonal changes, to enhanced alertness, vasodilation, hyperventilation, etc. simply are not characteristic of tension elicited by conflicted thought. Both muscular tension and relaxation are ultimately functions of the relationship rather than content of our choices.
From my open source book on the neuroscience of resting states, ‘The Book of Rest’, linked below.
    https://www.scribd.com/doc/284056765/The-Book-of-Rest-The-Odd-Psychology-of-Doing-Nothing

  • Did you know that the Arthritis Society states that  CBD has been found to be effective in reducing pain and inflammation? I heard this and I tried the CBD Melody Drops and  Alleviate Topical Cream really helped me with my pain.

  • I took two semesters of dietetics and you make me appreciate healthy living even more! Once I begin my career job I’ll have to step up to your level as even with current availability of grocery deals some things are highly disappointing on the price scale! Thank you for sharing your little limes!

  • Gino’s east is really good. but Garrett’s popcorn ain’t it no more, “let’s get popping” on 117th & western they have that old recipe that Garrett’s used to have back in the day. Garrett’s fooling all these outta towners & people who don’t travel out the loop area as much because of the name but Garrett’s been lost that recipe. And then he talking about a hotdog but forget “Jim’s polish” now that’s Chicago. And whadda jerk

  • Could you please make a video on how to make several types of pickles full of probiotics including that purple cabbage pickle and a vegan version of kimchi? Thanks in advance!

The McDonald’s Randolph St. HQ International Menu, anything in Chinatown, drinks atop the Hancock Building, or world’s longest bar at the Hyatt Illinois Center, the Berghoff in the Loop, holder of City of Chicago Liquor License #1 and killer schnitzel. The Delta for soul food/Asian fusion. There’s a lot, and it’s all pretty damn good imho. I’ll be transiting through Union Station tmw via Amtrak enroute to Cedar Point Amusement Park and in 6 hours, we’ve got 3 “must have” places to eat, sooooo… LOL

  • It’s funny, I have watched lots of these travel vlogs of people going to Chicago and you can tell that everyone watches everyone else’s vlog before they go to Chicago because they all eat at exactly the the same places, eating exactly the same things as the people in the other vlogs. They eat that rainbow colored cake, and I am not even familiar with the place as a Chicagoan myself, because it’s a tourist place no doubt meant to be super expensive to separate them from their fat vacation dollars. And they go to Garrett’s to get cheddar cheese and caramel popcorn, and they go to Giordano’s and eat half a piece and they are full. I eat half a pizza. I go to D’Agostinos or Bacino’s or Edwardo’s or Nancy’s or Aurelio’s. And they go to Portillo’s, the Disney version of a restaurant chain hotdog place, and they think that you have to have a hotdog with a full pickle spear, and relish, and tomato, and onions, and celery salt and this and that and the other thing on it because they have been told that’s what a Chicago dog is. You can eat it however you want…just no ketchup. I know of nobody who eats a dog with all that crap on it. You go to Demon Dawgs or Nana’s or Gene and Jude’s and get 2 or 3 dogs with just mustard on them, and maybe a little diced onion and a sport pepper or two but you don’t have to eat it like it’s a bloody mary or something just because you want to live like a real Chicagoan for a day and think we eat them like that. It’s like, go out on your own and don’t just eat the overly commercialised chain restaurant tourist loop food or what other people doing other vlogs are eating and you want to eat that to because you see their video got alot of views. There’s so many great Mexican and Peruvian food joints all over the city. There is such great Greek food in Greek town like at Roditis. There is great asian food and Thai food and Vietnamese food all over, especially in uptown. Go to Ricobene’s in Bridgeport. Pizzeria Uno, Gino’s East, and Giordano’s stink. Lou Malnati’s, Pequod’s, Vito and Nick’s and many others are all great.

  • You’re basically saying there’s nothing you can eat except what p whatwhat rabbits eat and nobody’s going to do that so now what is a good solution how do you fix the problem without taking away the foods they want

  • Love this song…..our honeymoon video was put to this by husband, we married in September 2001! Wonderful memories of Switzerland

  • I live in chicago and my friends and I have a rule. If we order pizza, NO CHAINS. Dominos, Pizza Hut, hell no. Not when you have all the good Chicago pizza.

  • Lived in Indianapolis (and from) for the past 28 years, first time going to Chicago and found this video. THANK YOU! and your energy in the video…great job.

  • Thank you so much for your thoroughness in eating well. Do you have a video of food combinations that help absorb the vital nutrients? I know of eating oranges with eggs to absorb iron and to always add black pepper with turmeric to absorb the healthful properties……..

  • Other channels report the opposite on food colors…who is correct? You say “night-shade color foods caused inflammation? Dark colored foods such as: red (tomatoes), deep purple (egg plants), yellow (bell peppers), etc. Who should we believe? Everyone contradicts the other! Who is reporting false/fake food news? The carbon that builds up on grilled foods ARE bad for ever one…so I know this is correct reporting.

  • Question: How do I replace the nutrients of milk, yoghurt and all that? (milk makes puke and everything that looks or tastes like it ruins the meal for me).

  • Great video as always.
I know you’re not in Australia at the moment but I’ve decided to move to Oz for a 2 year visa next September and would love to see some videos on your experience in Australia. Even if it was a video once every 3/4 months. I’m going with a few friends and we’ll be moving to Melbourne for the beginning of our journey. Would love to know your favorite locations especially places that aren’t as popular or as well known.

  • You should try roasting your chickpeas in the oven! Sooooo good! And depending on how long you leave them in you can eat them like chips since they will be crispy! ❤️♥️❤️♥️

I can’t go without yogurt….. I have to add to something and eat. Also tumeric I add it to most of my food and for my skin too. For cooking I use pure coconut oil it has antimicrobial properties. And I eat garlic with my salads and ginger with my morning chai

  • Hello, I come to give my own feelings and my little stone to the building. The stress, that entity that eats away at you inside and well I was able to fight it (I’m a salesperson and I used to be the boss of a company) and almost completely remove it. There are a lot of solutions circulating on the internet and in the press so if you want us to discuss them nicely you can contact me at this email address: [email protected] com (pasted dot to address and com to dot). I usually answer more in the evening. Go courage !

    Have a good day,

    Sincerely, Julien Allucart

  • I’m stressed out all the time and I don’t know how to deal with it in a healthy way. I exercise and eat healthy, but have nobody to talk to who will listen without having an alter I or motive. I wish I had a real friend, but I guess I’m not a good enough person to deserve one:(

  • You can add all the colour you like with vegetables but the vitamins and minerals are more abundant from meat and fish and eggs. Add all the vegetables you like but you won’t get a lot of extra out of them.

  • Funny story about stress, when the virus hit my country and we began our lockdown I got sick and many conditions matched those of covid-19. I didn’t believe it was but I still took caution and distanced myself. I went to the doctor’s and tried to get a diagnosis but they didn’t know what it was because I didn’t have fever. I felt feverish but my temperature was fine. I was sick over 14 days and my parents still didn’t bring me to testing even though I offered to pay out of my savings myself I didn’t think it was the virus, but I wanted to be 100% certain I didn’t have it. Then on the 17th day I went to see another doctor again and he said it could be chronic stress. Hilarious: the lockdown meant no school to attend physically, meaning less interactions and less social anxiety — the moment my body felt less stressed somehow all these health issues come rushing in.

  • I have arthritis in most joints. I have severe Diabeties. I have severe chronic pain from a (MCA) motorcycle accident decades ago. By the time I avoid all the foods bad for Arthritis and all the foods bad for Diabeties and all the foods bad for pain caused by the MCA accident, there is nothing left to eat.
On top of that… With all the pain associated with Arthiritis and pain from Diabeties and from extensive chronic pain due to the MCA, Plus this government’s idea of restricting Pain Medication due to drug addicts… BUT NOT EXCLUDING CHRONIC PAIN SUFFERERS FROM OBTAINING NECESSARY PAIN CONTROL MEDS… my condition dramatically worsens.
NOW this government now labels all Chronic Pain Sufferers as ADDICTS. How? They got rid of the term “dependants” leaving ONLY “addicts” as a description for anyone using narcotic pain meds.
Yet it does not stop there. The government is restricting / at taking doctors to limit or Elimitinate doctors from prescribing pain medication AND allowing Pharmacists to join in controlling pain meds WITHOUT ANY KNOWLEDGE OF YOUR CONDITION! That is Utter and Total Mal-Practice on the part of Pharmacists.

  • Ok I am not a spicy food eater at all, but saying you use franks red hot sauce on so many things really makes me want to try it now! Great video!

  • I’m beginning to realize that I might have to eliminate tomato sauce from my already strict diet. I have lower back and joint pain, and the marinara sauce is really the only thing left that could be causing it!

  • dude you do not need to peel the chick peas hahaha they do taste better and creamier, but you really don’t have to… it takes sooo long

  • You should try roasting your chickpeas in the oven! Sooooo good! And depending on how long you leave them in you can eat them like chips since they will be crispy! ❤️♥️❤️♥️

  • GREAT meals!! Love how you aren’t restricting yourself & only eating Whole Foods. Only things I would change (I’m a nutrition student (: ) is the sugar intake like add plain Greek, light to no coconut. That’s IT. Your doing fucking great.

    5. At least 1 green and 1 orange or white veggie.

  • Does anyone else notice that this seems injected with fear based sales tactics to terrorize old people who may be mentally vulnerable and the icing on the cake is young voice actors that are either doing an old person voice or literally have their voice digitally edited to sound really old to trick old people into relating to them? i can tell i got a targeted ad for this company after watching a beatles video on youtube, so maybe the algorithm thought i was old for a second. if you google for like 3 seconds multiple sources seem to say the tomato solanine arthritis connection is bullshit. they are obviously trying to get you hooked on their videos to buy a 50 dollar one once they have pried their trust from your hands with this infomercial shit, or am i wrong? can anyone give me credible documentation of them not being sharks and I am just a jaded youngster who sees the styles of infomercials from cable tv past being echoed online?

  • Do you not eat any snacks? I’ve lost about 35lbs so far and I’m almost at my goal weight of 127lbs. No WAY could I do it with snacks . I eat 3 main meals and 3 small snacks a day, keeps me going! Xx

This type of music can have a beneficial effect on our physiological functions, slowing the pulse and heart rate, lowering blood pressure, and decreasing the levels of stress hormones.

  • The problem with most Americans and with many people in the world is that they are online computer dependent and they do not read books! They should go back to the basics of reading from brick-and-mortar printed ink-on-paper physical books going way back from the past as well as in the present. I have a book (already microfilmed too) that says oatmeal is eaten and does not cause arthritis and that’s in the 1920s. Now they say oatmeal causes arthritis but medical paleonthologists and pathologists, by studying the bones of English rural village people confirms that they have no arthritis and their descendants do not have arthritis even though they eat oatmeal. Why? Simple, in the 1920s the oatmeal is 100% organic using only natural genetic varieties (no hybrids and no GMOs) and using only organic fertilizers and organic pesticides. Fast forward to 2020, your oatmeal is 100% GMOs and uses Monsanto’s Mr. Wonderful called MR. ROUNDUP and chemical fertilizers and chemical pesticides and other cides, and then it is overprocessed with a lot of DUPONT’S friendly food chemicals and food chemical additives. THAT’S YOUR REAL ANSWER! Why don’t you non-Russians have a library room in your house filled with books enough to fill a large library? Don’t you know that GOOGLE is censoring information and is DEGRADING INFORMATION AND EVEN DESELECTING THEM. Even your public libraries is deselecting books WHICH IS THE EQUIVALENT OF BOOK BURNING WHICH IS THE WORLD’S GREATEST CRIME TO HUMANITY!

  • Yes, you will see a lot of similarities between Uruguayan food & Argentine food, but they do do things just a bit different in Uruguay… And Chivito is something really Uruguayan and tasty (though there is a tasty steak sandwich in Argentina too).

  • About calcium: I doubt that those high recommendations are correct because recommendations vary from country to country and it might have something to do with the dairy industry being an influence. I try not to rely on fortified things and to get from whole plants what I can. So if I eat normally I get about 300mg calcium per day and I got my blood tested and my calcium is completely fine:)

  • another good one to enjoy at least every other day, is mushrooms, those are so healthy for the gut and make up a totaly seperate food group for they are no plants

  • Do you remember the 21st night of September?
Love was changing the minds of pretenders
    While chasing the clouds away

    Our hearts were ringing
In the key that our souls were singing
As we danced in the night
Remember how the stars stole the night away

    Hey hey hey
Ba de ya, say do you remember?
Ba de ya, dancing in September
Ba de ya, never was a cloudy day

Ba duda, ba duda, ba duda, badu
Ba duda, badu, ba duda, badu
    Ba duda, badu, ba duda

    My thoughts are with you
Holding hands with your heart to see you
    Only blue talk and love
Remember how we knew love was here to stay
Now December found the love we shared in September
    Only blue talk and love
Remember true love we share today

    Hey hey hey
Ba de ya, say do you remember?
Ba de ya, dancing in September
Ba de ya, never was a cloudy day

    And we say
Ba de ya, say do you remember
Ba de ya, dancing in September
Ba de ya, golden dreams were shiny days

The bell was ringing, oh oh
    Our souls were singing
Do you remember? never a cloudy day, yow

    And we say
Ba de ya, say do you remember?
Ba de ya, dancing in September
Ba de ya, never was a cloudy day

    And we say
Ba de ya, say do you remember?
Ba de ya, dancing in September
Ba de ya, golden dreams were shiny days

Ba de ya de ya de ya
Ba de ya de ya de ya
Ba de ya de ya de ya de ya

Ba de ya de ya de ya
Ba de ya de ya de ya
    Ba de ya de ya

  • Eish. All that flesh, cheese and eggs. Heart attack, stroke and cancer food! Plus. Who eats animals in 2019? The human race is yet to become civilized.

  • I recomend also another uruguayan dish, matambre a la leche, basicaly the belly of the cow cooked in the oven with milk, potatoes, sweet potatoes and spices, really delicius, specialy if it`s home cooked.

  • A big fan here of your channel and now even more after you guys visited my country Uruguay . I wish that someday can visit Punta del Este (it is the Saint Tropez of Latin America). I’m an Uruguayan living in Connecticut. Awesome video as always guys. You and your beautiful family made my day!!!

  • We’re going there on a cruise (in/out of Buenos Aires ) in January 2020. We’ll hopefully be able to spend a few days before/after the cruise in BA… and perhaps a day trip to Uruguay…

  • This looks amazing. Great video as always. South and Central America is a dream destination of mine and I really want to study abroad there. The food looks amazing, the buildings are beautiful, and the people seem wonderful.

  • Only white Chicagoans who moved here from the suburbs or out of town like Portillos. Its ok, but there’s so many other amazing local spots that are way better.

  • I love your what I eat In a days haha it’s never boring to watch cause I don’t know what to make sometimes but I’m glad you make spicy food bc sometimes I forget that I have hot sauce and it makes veggies taste awesome

  • Botanically, a tomato is a fruit —a berry, consisting of the ovary, together with its seeds, of a flowering plant.

A “Tomato” is a Fruit, NOT a Vegetable!

  • About the “alfajores”: if you want more “dulce de leche” than cookie, look for the “Bocadito” it’s a cookie with lots of dulce de leche covered in chocolate.

  • Excellent video Mark. Your recommendations are on point. I would add to your recommendations the “medilunas” which are usually sweet croissants (sometimes savory) and they go great with dulce de leche. You were right about the mate. The first time I visited Uruguay it seemed almost everyone on the street carried a thermos and a mate. Uruguay is a great place to visit and Uruguayans are very cordial.
