5 Foods That Taste Better in November Than They Will All Year. It’s November, which means many of us will soon be planning Thanksgiving dinners (or just looking forward to the eating part). Also in season in November: Apples (Äpfel), beetroot (Rote Bete), brussels sprouts (Rosenkohl), chestnuts (Maronen), kale (Grünkohl), kohlrabi (Kohlrabi) and savoy cabbage (Wirsing). WHAT’S IN SEASON: (This will vary depending on time of the month and where you live) Apples.

  • Best Hurricane is hands down at Laffitte’s Blacksmith-still made with fruit juices as opposed to Pat O’brians which uses a powdered mix now. Also, Central Grocer has the original Muffaletta, but the best is IN the french market at Alberto’s Cheese and Wine Shop

  • As a french, the way you pronounce “Liberté” is so cute ^o^. It’s Liberté => Li (like iiiii when you smile) ber (like bear the animal) and té (like the french version of tea which is thé) Quite complicated to explain it when our pronunciations are so different omg.
    Thanks for the amazing video, you’re still so cheerful and motivating! Thanks c:

  • Thank you Stanford for making these lectures available. I am on a completely different professional field but knowledge knows no limits.

  • Yall better get with someone local in a hurry if you wanna save $$$ & get quality plus quantity…”Po-Boys” ain’t real unless you get overstuffed ones…meaning when you unwrap it meat falls all out the sides enough to dam near make another sandwich…please venture out the quarters…lol

  • Scientists admit they only know about 1% of the brain. They do not know 99%. The brain has trillions of connections, cells, and millions of chemicals. Again, most information is guesswork. 99%.

  • This is all fine and dandy. Super informative. A learning experience I’ll burn in my memory bank next to your lecture on Schizophrenia. (I’m being facetious. Yet, I genuinely do enjoy your lectures.)

    But. And, I mean BUT! Why is a psychologist ready to believe what you – perceive to – know for a fact to be the origin of your state of mind and a psychiatrist isn’t? Wouldn’t I be better inclined to the possibility of you being right about where I’ve landed myself within the spectrum of instances which can debilitate one’s mind and body, if you’d give me credit for knowing what I know from walking in my shoes?

    In my personal experience, you’re either within the income bracket that can afford to pay €90/hr to start the conversation of childhood onto adulthood and perhaps be believed; or, you’re scrutinized and labeled Bipolar in about 3 months in Netherlands, a sub schizoide in under 10 minutes in the UK, and a ‍♂️ beats me after some hours in Vancouver, BC.

  • ОВО ЈЕ САМО ЗА УПУЋЕНЕ-МОЈЕ ФИЗИЧАРЕ!!!
    САМО НАУКА!!!
    Како сам дошао до ове једначине то вам нећу рећи јер напокон имам и ја право на радовање.Она заправо објашњава како функционише микро и макро свет а представља јединствен принцип функционисања микросвета(у којем егзистирају електромагнетно и нуклеарно деловање следствено називима деловања и силе) и макросвета у којем функционише термодинамика и гравитација(при чему суштински не уочавам разлику).
    ПРВО ФОРМУЛА!!!

    G*r=(3/4)*c2

    Она суштински изражава гравитационо дејство и електромагнетизам(гравитационо деловање и електромагнетно деловање).

    γ=6,67*10-11 N*m2/kg2-гравитациона константа;

    c=299 792 458 m/s-брзина светлости.

    У микриосвету по тој формули имамо следеће(грубо-јер тачне вредности у овом разматрању нису битне а то ћу касније и показати):

    За електрон r=10-58 m,

    За протон r=10-54 m,

    Али на пример за Земљу и Сунце ћу дати:

    r=5,945*10-3 m-за Земљу,

    r=1,979*10+6 m-за Сунце

    Да ово није просто нагађање показаћу вам у следећим примерима.

    ПРВО ЗА МИКРОСВЕТ!!!

    Када нађемо количник полупречника и масе честице на коју се односи(која по формули узрокује тај полупречник) добијамо константу која је реда величине масе протона.

    ДОКАЗ!!!

    За електрон:

    m=10-31 kg,
    r/m=(10-58)/(10-31)=10-27(ред величине масе протона).Случајно???Нимало!!!

    За протон:

    m=10-27 kg,

    r/m=(10-54)/(10-27)=10-27.ГЛЕ ЧУДА ИСТИ РЕД ВЕЛИЧИНЕ.

    САДА ДА ВИДИМО ЗА МАКРОСВЕТ!!!

    Свет у којем по нашим поимањима пресудну улогу игра гравитација.

    За Земљу:

    m=6*10+24 kg,

    r=5,9288*10-3 m-полупречник НЕЧЕГА(запамтите то НЕШТО ћу касније назвати именом које у нама изазива језу).

    r/m=(5,9288*10-3)/(6*10+24)=0,833*10-27.

    ИСТИ РЕД ВЕЛИЧИНЕ!!!

    Зa Сунце:

    m=2*10+30 kg,

    r=5,94*10+3 m-полупречник НЕЧЕГА у Сунцу.

    r/m=(5,94*10+3)/(2*10+30)=2,97*10-27.

    ИСТИ РЕД ВЕЛИЧИНЕ!!!

    ОДСТУПАЊА БРОЈНИХ ВРЕДНОСТИ КОД МАКРОСВЕТА СУ ПОСЛЕДИЦА РАЗЛИКЕ У ГУСТИНАМА НАВЕДЕНИХ ТЕЛА(звезда,планета у макросвету и честица у микросвету).У микросвету тај коефицијент испред реда величине/степена(вероватно је строже дефинисан).
    Опет ћу посредно да дам доказ.

    За електрон је:

    r/m=6,5152*10-27,

    a за протон је:

    r/m=1,653*10-27.

    Ако прихватимо да је маса(мировања???)протона константа(???)и да ли је актуелна вредност масе протона актуелна у тој мери то не знам али је користимо.

    САГЛЕДАВАЈУЋИ ИЗЛОЖЕНО НЕСПОРНО ЈЕ ДА ЈЕ КОЛИЧНИК ПОЛУПРЕЧНИКА НЕЧЕГА У ПРОТОНУ И МАСЕ ПРОТОНА ВРЛО БЛИСКА ВРЕДНОСТИ МАСЕ ПРОТОНА КОЈУ СМО УЗЕЛИ ЗА КОНСТАНТУ(по мом рачуну за протон је 1,653*10-27 а маса протона коју користимо у свим прорачунима је 1,67623*10-27 килограма).

    ОВО ЛИЧНО МЕ НАВОДИ ДА ЗАКЉУЧИМ ПОГОТОВО ИМАЈУЋИ У ВИДУ ДА ЈЕ ВЕК ПРОТОНА РЕДА 10 на 30 ГОДИНА што је квадрат старости Свемира да је протон најстабилнија честица и која ће као таква остати и преживети крај Свемира који предвиђа актуелна теорија.ЗНАЧИ КАДА СЕ СВЕМИР ДЕЗИНТЕГРИШЕ(распадну планете,звезде па по тој теорији и атоми)У КРАЈЊЕМ ИСХОДУ ЋЕМО ИМАТИ СВЕМИР ПРЕПУН МИНИЈАТУРНИХ ЦРНИХ РУПИЦА.

    Анализирајући ове односе мени се намеће закључак да и у микро и у макро свету ИПАК ИМА НЕКЕ ЗАКОНИТОСТИ ПО ПИТАЊУ ОДНОСА ОВИХ ВЕЛИЧИНА-ПОЛУПРЕЧНИКА У ЧЕСТИЦИ(ТЕЛА) и МАСЕ САМЕ ЧЕСТИЦЕ(ТЕЛА).

    ТО НЕШТО ШТО ИМА ПОЛУПРЕЧНИК ЈЕ ЗАПРАВО ПОЛУПРЕЧНИК ЦРНЕ РУПЕ.ТО НЕШТО=ЦРНА РУПА.

    ЦРНЕ РУПЕ та “проказана тела”(јер ипак претпостављају масу)И НИСУ ТАКО ЦРНЕ.

    У микросвету изазивају анихилацију а у макросвету изазивају креацију.

    За ово прилажем следећи однос(КАО ДОКАЗ) који сам по том принципу добио за микросвет а исти важи и за макросвет:

    m=2*m0

    Како сам то добио Е ТО ЈЕ ОПЕТ ТАЈНА.

  • The chargrilled oysters are the best in the world! Had them for the first time in December and I’m craving them ever since. There’s nothing like them. Even my seafood hater husband liked them. They are the bomb!

  • I can’t wait for the day to see mainstream doctors ordering stool testing for microbial analysis and then referring to the dietitian for a personalized diet RX! That will be awesome when this happens.

  • so untrue-he mimics what he was told is all. what you think is what makes you feel-fix your thoughts and accept your misery that you created- we all experience this. what you think makes up your biology NO one is a victim unless they think they are

  • Who else loves Chelsea?? To YOU reading this, whoever you are, wherever you are, hope something amazing happens within your life very soon From a vlogger who loves to spread positivity!

  • Amazing news.

    I am alwyes dreaming of this kind of research in large number of population through an app in the phone.
    quantified data studies is the future of science.

    Congrats on being the first to embark in this way of doing science and medicine.

    And a very interesting approach indeed

  • I used an over the counter product called yohimbe bark and it worked for years for my depression. It works by increasing the brain chemical called norepinephrine. I first started taking it for erectile dysfunction ( It actually helps with that also ) but quickly found it helped with my depression. I know this may not help everyone but I hope it might be helpful for some. Depression is the monster it is, it’s just awful.

  • Why are we not being told this stuff? We are sitting on a global health time bomb, with our children eating junk, fast food, inactivity and obesity on the rise. In the UK especially we have to wake up.

  • The Green package of Ramen by Maruchan called Chili Flavor, is the best one.
    Links shirt makes me wonder, if Waldo is in there somewhere.

  • I am depressed because I live few miles from Stanford but never will be able to step my foot in such top notch school. I wish I am not as stupid.

  • Fascinating research. But until people can plug their numbers into a mobile app that spits out a customized diet, they should simply focus on altering and improving the gut (microbiome) health by eating more prebiotics from whole nutrient dense plant foods. Isn’t great that science will one day tell us what grand and great grand parents told us: just eat your fruit and veggies, and if you are, eat more of them.

  • It´s so nice to know about this study, because I have adopt an Ayurvedic treatment, and my nutritionist says that this is good for you, this is not good for you, let´s see about this food, listen to your body, etc. Now, it seems it was totally right!

  • so untrue-he mimics what he was told is all. what you think is what makes you feel-fix your thoughts and accept your misery that you created- we all experience this. what you think makes up your biology NO one is a victim unless they think they are

  • If I would eat Like you in that Video i would be hangry all the time:D this is how different we are, i could eat a whale and you just a little bit, and thats okay:) ❤️

  • The Carnivore diet. I am DONE with trying yet another medication. NOTHING has ever worked and I have tried so many that I have lost count. I can not even begin to describe the torture of the side effects. I am starting the Carnivore Diet tomorrow. Many have found this to be the answer. What do I have to lose?

  • This research is basically the deathknell of fad diets because once we can begin personalized nutrition then all it does is cut out the guess work of finding out what works for you.

  • Heyy all!

  • They only food you can really maintain a healthy diet with while eating exclusively is potatoes, grown with specific fertilizer, the Martian lifestyle

  • Biology makes you susceptible, but it’s a lot about lack of action leading to low motivation. Less action, less motivation. It’s mind, body, and relationships, people with depressed mood usually have horrible relationships and bad diet, etc. as well as bad strategies for mind.

  • I used an over the counter product called yohimbe bark and it worked for years for my depression. It works by triggering the release of the brain chemical called norepinephrine. I first started taking it for erectile dysfunction ( It actually helps with that also ) but quickly found it helped with my depression. • Surprise you didn’t recommend trying the NOLA signature cocktail.. the sazerac. Also a visit to the carousel bar at hotel monteleone

  • Ever heard of the selective eater who only eats spinach? No, because he’s the healthiest man in the world and nobody thinks he has a problem cause he only eats healthy stuff.

  • Depression is a biochemical disorder. Meaning the chemicals are not at it’s correct level. What affects these chemicals so you can change the levels? Food, sleep, sun exposure, excercise, stress, & relaxation.

    Thank you professor Sapolski. It has never been more clear to me than ever before.

  • Why bother using vegan butter in the pancake mix when you decided to melt a pat of butter after you cooked it in the waffle maker? and wouldn’t the garbanzo water taste kinda….. Off putting for baking?? Why not use things like applesauce in place for eggs for some of these ingredients??

  • 4:12 last year at my summer camp, my cabin went on a cookout and we made those but it was orange instead of lime. well you see, since we’re in the woods, nature, outdoors, we don’t have an oven. so we have to wrap it in tinfoil and cook it using the hot coals from our fire. it was SO MESSY because the batter was not cooked all the way. we still at them tho.

  • Surely if the gut microbes are different in different people, but the aim is to obtain low obesity and blood sugar levels, and since the response also depends on what gut microbes are present, then to help the obese and sweet-blooded is firstly to convert their gut microbes into the “good” ones.

    This suggests that a generally applied diet should first be applied to get the microbes we want, and then following the different measurements of the sugar and fat (or weight) change, some more specific diets should be used to a) maintain the same gut (now satisfactory) microbes and to b) specifically help the nature of the individual to oppose any possible natural tendency to be sweet or fat or both.

    My thoughts on this are due to logic, not experience as a dietrician!

  • The beard/ponytail combo makes me depressed. At least he took his three phones and multitool off of his belt before the presentation.

  • Could i have this? I’m bed bound and desperately trying to find out what’s wrong. I have ehlers danlos syndrome (eds) and i have had severe back and head pain for  years. I’m constantly having to turn over due to back pain. Also my neck got locked in one position and has been stiff ever since. Often i find that my back wants to lay one way and my neck wants me to lay the other. I also have had severe sickness and have had to be taking anti sickness ever since i got d&v. Ive hit my head several times and have had concussion. I have audit and visual hallucinations and eye sight issues. Dizziness. I have had stuff run down my throat causingvit to feel blocked for years. Sudden behavioral issues/ changes. I now can’t even sit up or keep my neck up straight. Now i can’t sit up without lower back pain and sickness. Agitation. Numbness in hands and legs. Can’t feel pain. Sensitive to light. Memory issues. Panic attacks. Can’t feel emotions, yet with a flick of a switch, I’m angry or crying. I have no idea why after. Aggression. Anorexia. Depression. Autism. Virtigo. Brain saps. Not responding to pain meds and i can’t have morphine as that doesn’t work and makes me sick. Nothing works. Normal mri and blood tests testing for antibodies. Frequent infections. Resistant to most antibiotics now. Also i have constant ringing in my ears. Also I’ve had a really bad ear infection, where i lost my taste buds and sense of smell. I’ve lost my taste buds now and sense of smell.
    Also, i had urinary problems growing up and found that as soon as i laughed or bounced on my trampoline, I’d end up going. It was very embarrassing and i had to take this little blue tablet to help (can’t remember what it was called)
    My neurologist has diagnosed me with FND but i disagree!
    I’m aware that not all my symptoms are relivent, but i thought I’d add everything

  • So yummy at the beginning of the video: “faba! Faba! Who needs eggs?”
    So yummy after like 3 minutes: “us. We do. Video. With. Egg.”

  • So many glib comments in this lecture. ‘everyone gets depressed’. Wrong everyone gets sad and that’s normal. One in five people get depressed at least once in their lifetime. Facts matter and we do not need anymore people misdiagnosed that they are depressed when they’re actually sad. Unless they’re vested by the pharma industry if course

  • I am a medical oncologist and internist. In cancer medicine the key source of energy for cancer cells is glucose. I have advised my patients for many years to purchase a glucometer and keep records of post-meal (in the vernacular called post-prandial) blood glucose levels and to use a Word form that includes a food diary for each meal and activity. Most patients have fasting blood glucose levels-these are usually the last levels to become abnormal. It is the PPBG (post-prandial blood glucose) at 2hrs (and if ≥ 120) at 3hrs and 4hrs that relates to the damage that is done to our minds and bodies.

    The work by this group from Israel has HUGE implication for millions of people. In the USA, diabetes mellitus, and associated obesity is rampant. Knowing your blood glucose in response to meals is a major feedback mechanism that will INSPIRE people to alter what they eat with the goal to achieve normal to optimal 2-hr PPBG levels.

    Congrats to this group for what I consider one of most important contributions in my lifetime in medicine.

  • The Mrs. says: My Brother committed suicide, Of course I am depressed, lot’s of issues brings on depression. But one should realize that’s part of the Human soul and ones conscience, or we would just not be moved to any emotions no matter what happens in life to us or other people. We feel……….. We react, Oh wow that’s awful I feel sorry for that person, again were supposed to have these different emotions, then we go forward, get on with our lives. Were not going to go through live without knowing traumas, we grow older and become better able to deal with these set backs in life and it does not mean we need a pill every time something negative happens to us, cope, deal with the grief and practice good nutrition and eliminate those negative forces in ones life that might be keeping you in that dark hole you cannot climb out of, a dead marriage, a dead job, toxic people who give you the “Bummers” everyday of your life, there are so many things that can bum us out, it’s time for a make over and do what needs to be done to bring back the light and refresh your mind.

  • I cant believe you didnt mention gator:o

    Lol but growing up there, YEA the food is amazing. And i always look forward to it when i go home.

  • Guys look up dynamic meditation. There is a case study on it regarding decreasing cortisol. It’s not your stereotypical mantra or breathing based meditation. You are moving and expressing yourself completely. Ive been able to sleep much better because of it.

  • Why are we not being told this stuff? We are sitting on a global health time bomb, with our children eating junk, fast food, inactivity and obesity on the rise. In the UK especially we have to wake up.

  • It’s not helpful to think of depression as like a physical disease such as diabetes, because this encourages the patient to think of being “cured” as something that has external origins take enough pills etc etc.
    In fact It’s a state of mind that expresses the patient’s deep alienation from the world and it’s own persona.
    Unfortunately the psychiatrist’s greatest challenge is to obtain the patient’s co-operation for constructive analytical therapy to proceed because it involves the patient admitting that it has caused the condition itself. Bi-Polar individuals in particular will blame anything except themselves and will retreat further and further into delusion and escapism
    The other problem is the unavailability of psychedelic drugs which are such a useful tool in therapy (LSD was synthesised precisely for this purpose and is so powerful it can change a patient’s entire life within months)
    I think it’s very negative to treat it like a physical disease and just plays into the hands of the pharmaceutical companies whose ultimate dream is to have the entire population on mandatory medication from birth to death. And they aren’t kidding, believe me

  • please please let me be one of the millions who will benefit from your research,,, I am looking for a doctor and/or dietitian who will work on my diet using your research alogarithm… please put me in touch with any one doing this..

  • The sound of laughters was much louder than the speaker’s, quite irritating for someone as depressed as myself, but thanks very much for the lecture.

  • I have depression:( I grew up as a ‘perfect’ child that everyone would always say I had potential for greatness and I had all these ambitions. And then high school happened while I was in a major depressive funk and I basically got crushed not only by my own self-hatred but by the insensitivity of my environment and peers, including teachers who were supposed to be supportive. I got asked how I was doing by one teacher my whole high school experience. I presented a relatively normal exterior so I think my behaviour was perceived as personality and my severe psychomotor retardation was interpreted as actual learning disability and general stupidity. It crushed me and I am still recovering almost 10 years later. At least my anhedonia has mostly gone away and only appears in mild waves. I still have horrible guilt and a constant vegetative state. But this lecture outlines everything perfectly in a way that I can actually narrate my own experience easily, and know what to work on. So thank you for that.

  • Congratulations for this elegant and extraordinary study. I hope that in the future you will consider other indicators of healthy meal other that the glycemic response.

  • I remember my mom telling me when I was like 3 years old and I would just let my cousin beat me up until she would yell me to fight back. Im worried why I would let myself go through that, was I just a stupid kid???

  • Next time you’re in NOLA, try Angelo Brocato’s Ice Cream & Confectionary on N. Carrollton Ave. just on the lake side of Canal Street in Mid-City, their Italian ice cream and cannolis are fantastic!

  • I’m extremely selective but not this bad.. French fries seem to be something that picky eaters always eat. I eat fries, chicken, some fruits, lots of cereals, peanut butter, yogurt, milk, etc… But not a whole lot else lol, othe than junk foods

  • Word of warning, when you’re ordering benegets, prepare yourself for a lot of powdered sugar, it’s not optitional. I once asked for light powdered sugar at cafe du monde, and i got laughed at by the lady working

  • In addition to the lecture, he is a great human. I just noticed how he was emphasizing through the whole lecture that depression is not a “pull yourself together thing” because he must’ve felt the pressure and pain depressed people feel from their families and friend’s constant demanding of “pull yourself together”

    which in many cases makes the person feels that his pain is not real or is not worth the validation and that drags the person to increase the aggression inward thus worsening things. i applaud him for having this much wisdom and compassion for others

  • Amazing news.

    I am alwyes dreaming of this kind of research in large number of population through an app in the phone.
    quantified data studies is the future of science.

    Congrats on being the first to embark in this way of doing science and medicine.

    And a very interesting approach indeed

  • I can’t wait for the day to see mainstream doctors ordering stool testing for microbial analysis and then referring to the dietitian for a personalized diet RX! That will be awesome when this happens.

  • I love your what I eat in a day vlogs and how you eat intuitively. What would you advise someone to do if trying to lose some weight regards to food and training?x

  • Thanks for this great video. Heading to New Orleans on Thursday, January 30, before our cruise February 2. I can’t wait! But I know I will gain weight from all that food!

  • Isn’t it true that n cold climates with far less hours of sunlight in cities where there are a lot more office workers in buildings without large windows seasonal mild to sometimes for a couple of weeks with moderate depression is commonplace however because so many people in cities are often experiencing it too the experience is easier to get through every year while trying to find relief for that expected feeling which comes around every year along with a much greater chance of coming down with a cold unless getting outside often enough together during outdoor recreation no matter how old they are? And so there in cold climates because there is more understanding of the experience of depression people who have that kind of gene affecting the kind of Serotonin which makes it harder for them to cope with it have a better chance of getting help for it soon enough now thanks to more information about it to not end up freezing to death on the street.

  • So pretty much most of these cases are just parents that spoiled their kids always giving them the food they wanted which ended up evolving into this disorder?

  • We live in SE Texas just past the Texas Louisiana border. We have a lot of cajun food in our area that can rival just about anything you can eat in New Orleans. In fact, I make a great seafood gumbo and chicken and sausage gumbo. Last year when were in New Orleans for my son’s wedding I was actually disappointed with the food. I felt like I was eating mediocre Cajun food that you can get from some of the mediocre restaurants in our area. Of course, if you don’t know what really good Cajun food tastes like everything you eat over there is magnificent.

  • Pro Nola native tip: Do a little research into best local food places. Thats where you find best food treasures! Oh and the sandwich is pronounced (Mu-Fa-Lot-a)

  • Great list! Only thing I would changemothers is overrated. Best po-boys ever are at Verti Marte on the corner of Royal and Gov. Nichols. They had a fire and closed down for a couple of years, but they were re-opened when I was there in Jan. 2018. Nothing fancy, just a to-go deli counter, but no kidding, one $6 po-boy (and the selections are numerous) will feed 2 people. Ask for it dressed (all the fixins), get some Abita to wash it down with, walk back down to Decatur st, find a picnic bench in the French market, and pig out!

  • Being a Louisiana native, I can confirm that we do have great food here! Your top food suggestions are spot-on and I thoroughly enjoyed watching you talk about them. Lol! Great tips!

  • Ever heard of the selective eater who only eats spinach? No, because he’s the healthiest man in the world and nobody thinks he has a problem cause he only eats healthy stuff.

  • What to eat in New Orleans? This video should have taken thirty seconds. The answer is EVERYTHING. haha (I’m going next week….again)

I loved it! I’m dying to go back again and do it all over again! And a place I recommend on canal street, “we dats chicken and shrimp” delicious! And if you drink and love beer, huge ass beers
    I live in central Florida and there’s a New Orleans style dish restaurant called “Harry’s” is actually really good! They have Oreo stuffed beignets lol sounds bizarre but they are so good! Must be very hard for NOLA natives to stay on diets lol I could never

  • I fall into a lot of those categories specially with major depression. One thing I noted, he said most people with major depression have trouble falling asleep. That is absolutely not the case with me, in fact the exact opposite. I sleep way too much i’m talking 12 to 13 hours and i’ll get up and still feel like it wasn’t enough and want to sleep more it’s all my body wants to do.

  • can someone comment about the prevalence of the “bad” gene in human populations when presumably the inability to “rebound” from painful life events would make someone less likely to reproduce? Is it a possibility That on a population level antidepressants allow the gene to continue because modern medicine has removed the negative selection pressure?

  • Fascinating research. But until people can plug their numbers into a mobile app that spits out a customized diet, they should simply focus on altering and improving the gut (microbiome) health by eating more prebiotics from whole nutrient dense plant foods. Isn’t great that science will one day tell us what grand and great grand parents told us: just eat your fruit and veggies, and if you are, eat more of them.

  • ОВО ЈЕ САМО ЗА УПУЋЕНЕ-МОЈЕ ФИЗИЧАРЕ!!!
    САМО НАУКА!!!
    Како сам дошао до ове једначине то вам нећу рећи јер напокон имам и ја право на радовање.Она заправо објашњава како функционише микро и макро свет а представља јединствен принцип функционисања микросвета(у којем егзистирају електромагнетно и нуклеарно деловање следствено називима деловања и силе) и макросвета у којем функционише термодинамика и гравитација(при чему суштински не уочавам разлику).
    ПРВО ФОРМУЛА!!!

    G*r=(3/4)*c2

    Она суштински изражава гравитационо дејство и електромагнетизам(гравитационо деловање и електромагнетно деловање).

    γ=6,67*10-11 N*m2/kg2-гравитациона константа;

    c=299 792 458 m/s-брзина светлости.

    У микриосвету по тој формули имамо следеће(грубо-јер тачне вредности у овом разматрању нису битне а то ћу касније и показати):

    За електрон r=10-58 m,

    За протон r=10-54 m,

    Али на пример за Земљу и Сунце ћу дати:

    r=5,945*10-3 m-за Земљу,

    r=1,979*10+6 m-за Сунце

    Да ово није просто нагађање показаћу вам у следећим примерима.

    ПРВО ЗА МИКРОСВЕТ!!!

    Када нађемо количник полупречника и масе честице на коју се односи(која по формули узрокује тај полупречник) добијамо константу која је реда величине масе протона.

    ДОКАЗ!!!

    За електрон:

    m=10-31 kg,
    r/m=(10-58)/(10-31)=10-27(ред величине масе протона).Случајно???Нимало!!!

    За протон:

    m=10-27 kg,

    r/m=(10-54)/(10-27)=10-27.ГЛЕ ЧУДА ИСТИ РЕД ВЕЛИЧИНЕ.

    САДА ДА ВИДИМО ЗА МАКРОСВЕТ!!!

    Свет у којем по нашим поимањима пресудну улогу игра гравитација.

    За Земљу:

    m=6*10+24 kg,

    r=5,9288*10-3 m-полупречник НЕЧЕГА(запамтите то НЕШТО ћу касније назвати именом које у нама изазива језу).

    r/m=(5,9288*10-3)/(6*10+24)=0,833*10-27.

    ИСТИ РЕД ВЕЛИЧИНЕ!!!

    Зa Сунце:

    m=2*10+30 kg,

    r=5,94*10+3 m-полупречник НЕЧЕГА у Сунцу.

    r/m=(5,94*10+3)/(2*10+30)=2,97*10-27.

    ИСТИ РЕД ВЕЛИЧИНЕ!!!

    ОДСТУПАЊА БРОЈНИХ ВРЕДНОСТИ КОД МАКРОСВЕТА СУ ПОСЛЕДИЦА РАЗЛИКЕ У ГУСТИНАМА НАВЕДЕНИХ ТЕЛА(звезда,планета у макросвету и честица у микросвету).У микросвету тај коефицијент испред реда величине/степена(вероватно је строже дефинисан).
    Опет ћу посредно да дам доказ.

    За електрон је:

    r/m=6,5152*10-27,

    a за протон је:

    r/m=1,653*10-27.

    Ако прихватимо да је маса(мировања???)протона константа(???)и да ли је актуелна вредност масе протона актуелна у тој мери то не знам али је користимо.

    САГЛЕДАВАЈУЋИ ИЗЛОЖЕНО НЕСПОРНО ЈЕ ДА ЈЕ КОЛИЧНИК ПОЛУПРЕЧНИКА НЕЧЕГА У ПРОТОНУ И МАСЕ ПРОТОНА ВРЛО БЛИСКА ВРЕДНОСТИ МАСЕ ПРОТОНА КОЈУ СМО УЗЕЛИ ЗА КОНСТАНТУ(по мом рачуну за протон је 1,653*10-27 а маса протона коју користимо у свим прорачунима је 1,67623*10-27 килограма).

    ОВО ЛИЧНО МЕ НАВОДИ ДА ЗАКЉУЧИМ ПОГОТОВО ИМАЈУЋИ У ВИДУ ДА ЈЕ ВЕК ПРОТОНА РЕДА 10 на 30 ГОДИНА што је квадрат старости Свемира да је протон најстабилнија честица и која ће као таква остати и преживети крај Свемира који предвиђа актуелна теорија.ЗНАЧИ КАДА СЕ СВЕМИР ДЕЗИНТЕГРИШЕ(распадну планете,звезде па по тој теорији и атоми)У КРАЈЊЕМ ИСХОДУ ЋЕМО ИМАТИ СВЕМИР ПРЕПУН МИНИЈАТУРНИХ ЦРНИХ РУПИЦА.

    Анализирајући ове односе мени се намеће закључак да и у микро и у макро свету ИПАК ИМА НЕКЕ ЗАКОНИТОСТИ ПО ПИТАЊУ ОДНОСА ОВИХ ВЕЛИЧИНА-ПОЛУПРЕЧНИКА У ЧЕСТИЦИ(ТЕЛА) и МАСЕ САМЕ ЧЕСТИЦЕ(ТЕЛА).

    ТО НЕШТО ШТО ИМА ПОЛУПРЕЧНИК ЈЕ ЗАПРАВО ПОЛУПРЕЧНИК ЦРНЕ РУПЕ.ТО НЕШТО=ЦРНА РУПА.

    ЦРНЕ РУПЕ та “проказана тела”(јер ипак претпостављају масу)И НИСУ ТАКО ЦРНЕ.

    У микросвету изазивају анихилацију а у макросвету изазивају креацију.

    За ово прилажем следећи однос(КАО ДОКАЗ) који сам по том принципу добио за микросвет а исти важи и за макросвет:

    m=2*m0

    Како сам то добио Е ТО ЈЕ ОПЕТ ТАЈНА.

  • A few things. 1 the food is very rich if you are not use to eating like that it will upset your system. 2 start with the muffaletta 3 Have the blackened fish, done right it is not salty or overly spicy.

  • Getting ready to go to NOLA next weekend and checking out videos to get my mind ready. One thing (and only one) I disagree with here is getting your Hurricane at Pat O’s. They may have invented it, but it is not how it was originally. Go to Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop Bar for your Hurricane instead. Made with actual fruit juices not the red chemical powder mix at Pat O’s and 151 rum floated on top.

  • I suffer from chronic depression. I go to sleep whenever I want or need to (I have no obligations); there’s no pattern or regularity to it, except for one thing: The early morning is pretty much the only time of the day or night that DOESN’T see me waking up.

  • Oil pulling,yoga,vitamin C,D, sunbath for 2 hours saves u frm covid as God Jesus saved all sinners by His death n ressurrection on 3rd day. C ‘Ressurrection’ in Google…………

  • This guy comes over as rather stupid. For example, he cant see that there are reasons to do with social roles and disempowering situations that make women more dependent, and therefore in need of refined skills in assessing relationships

  • Po-boys are made specifically on authentic French bread. The bread is crispy yet very light and airy. And traditionally it comes with mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato, and pickle.

  • Thank you Stanford for making these lectures available. I am on a completely different professional field but knowledge knows no limits.

  • The miroco milk frother is the best dupe for the nespresso aerocino! Highly recommend, $40 on amazon. It even foams nut milks/oat milks. If you do almond, use Silk brand and its perfect!

  • This man is special. I could listen to him all day and I hated school. I don’t think it’s my getting older but rather his delivery and obvious passion

  • They only food you can really maintain a healthy diet with while eating exclusively is potatoes, grown with specific fertilizer, the Martian lifestyle

  • Why do we humans have such a hard time accepting the fact our minds as well as brains are as much a part of out body as a finger is?
    I weep as I hear this knowledge about it not really being just in our heads

  • I fall into a lot of those categories specially with major depression. One thing I noted, he said most people with major depression have trouble falling asleep. That is absolutely not the case with me, in fact the exact opposite. I sleep way too much i’m talking 12 to 13 hours and i’ll get up and still feel like it wasn’t enough and want to sleep more it’s all my body wants to do.

  • I am depressed because I live few miles from Stanford but never will be able to step my foot in such top notch school. I wish I am not as stupid.

  • I Was very disappointed you did not talk about our king cakes.. You can get him year round.. My favorites are Haydel’s Bakery.. Randazzo Bakery.. And they come in many different flavors fillings… I’m glad you showed Our original pecan purlins

  • 1:39 he said it is 15% chance someone will suffer from it in their lives
    i believe the number for 2020 is about 50% and its getting worse.
    I just do not understand how it is like almost affecting everyone of us
    and most of the countries dont do sht about it.

    Like every psychologist has
    such a long waiting time it´s insane. In most schools this isn´t even talked about
    even tho many kids in school suffer from depression today higschool-college.

    i wish people will talk more about mental health in the future i think it is such an important
    thing that i will focus my future work on mental health and health in general.

  • It´s so nice to know about this study, because I have adopt an Ayurvedic treatment, and my nutritionist says that this is good for you, this is not good for you, let´s see about this food, listen to your body, etc. Now, it seems it was totally right!

  • Biology makes you susceptible, but it’s a lot about lack of action leading to low motivation. Less action, less motivation. It’s mind, body, and relationships, people with depressed mood usually have horrible relationships and bad diet, etc. as well as bad strategies for mind.

  • I would go with salad because I could eat fruit salad,normal salad, or Caesar salad which can have shrimp boiled eggs and ham in it

  • this dude is confusing the emotion of sadness with mental illness. being sad is normal, being sad for days isn’t uncommon, let’s not go around diagnosing people with depression and making them believe they are permanently sick. this spirals downward very quickly.

  • The Mrs. says: My Brother committed suicide, Of course I am depressed, lot’s of issues brings on depression.

  • This research is basically the deathknell of fad diets because once we can begin personalized nutrition then all it does is cut out the guess work of finding out what works for you.

  • can someone comment about the prevalence of the “bad” gene in human populations when presumably the inability to “rebound” from painful life events would make someone less likely to reproduce? Is it a possibility That on a population level antidepressants allow the gene to continue because modern medicine has removed the negative selection pressure?

  • Scientists admit they only know about 1% of the brain. They do not know 99%. The brain has trillions of connections, cells, and millions of chemicals. Again, most information is guesswork. 99%.

  • Congratulations for this elegant and extraordinary study. I hope that in the future you will consider other indicators of healthy meal other that the glycemic response.

  • Was going to visit, but after reading the comments and seeing just how rude the natives are with non-locals, how anal they are about the pronunciation of FOOD PRODUCTS, and how dangerous others are saying it is for tourists, it’s probably best we keep going and don’t stop to eat! Geesh!

  • Can someone tell me how easy it is to catch, I just found out my friend has it and I may have it now along with everyone I’ve been near
