  • It is sheer misguiding of the masses, without calorie deficit and protein orientation in each meal it is impossible to reduce fat and gain lean muscle. People are simply ready & very happy to believe the justification of what they are already eating roti, dal, chawal & subji with minor tweaks. She never talks about calorie deficit & protein orientation, she is simply glamorizing the conventional diet which people are already taking. This conventional diet is suitable for hard working labor class who are anyways burning may be 1200 calories above their BMR and not for middle class office goers or very mild physical activity professionals which means it’s not for 99% of those watching in here.

    Note: If I get a little bit starving in between evening snack and my dinner I mostly eat a small or medium banana
    If you ask why banana? Banana will reduce our food starving and gives instant energy to our body.

  • All this stuff is great, but most of it is so expensive:( $30 for matcha powder or $30 worth of real groceries? Has to be the groceries. Four Sigmatic products are very expensive. I would literally have to choose between food or fancy powdered drinks. Unfortunately for a lot of us, the reality is we cannot afford these types of foods. I would love to incorporate matcha into my diet but I have to watch every nickel and it’s just not in the budget. I already work 2 jobs and summer is coming so I will start my 3rd seasonal job. Talk about stress!! The more I work to try to be able to afford stuff like this, the harder I am on my body, don’t sleep and run myself into the ground. Can’t win!!! By mid March I was on that thing 5 days a week for 35-45 minutes per session and I felt AMAZING!! Plus I had lost 25 pounds! Then COVID happened and my business wasn’t considered “essential” and I had to close down. The stress from the lack of income & the constant worry about my business just had me eating cookies like there was no tomorrow. Plus my life saver exercise actually made it harder for me to stay inside on lock down. Cookies + No exercise = 25 pounds of weight gain. I was able to open my business back up for 3 weeks and now it’s closed down again. Yes, I live in California and I own & operate a Salon. I CAN’T go through this again!   • I just Love the way she explains. Her diet plan has all the nutrient we human need. Yeah moderation and exercises is the key to weight loss, totally agree. Her early dinner idea is the best. We can enjoy our meals rather than to feel hunger the whole day. Patience is the key. Loose weight slowly and in a healthy way rather than loose and get back soon. Her diet plan is the best which promises not only weight loss but also provide you good amount energy when you wake up fresh next day. Thanks to her. But yeah everyone’s metabolism is different, so little changes can be done in her plan temporarily to get a weight loss. To me, I m happy with what she suggest. Patience is the key.

  • Loved the approach and tips, as you said there is no magic pill since lifestyle is what really counts. I’d like to add one of my all time favourite tips of yours aka including more veggies into your main course…it makes a huge difference! I used to eat 100g of pasta, still feeling unsatisfied after that and ending up eating lots of cheese. Then I decided to go vegetarian in January 2020 and to reduce animal products consumption (still not ready to go 100% vegan) and I’ve lost 3kg without any crazy diet, just thanks to some clever substitutions.

  • When I was going through this, I remember speaking with my weight loss specialist about trying to get used to no sugar in my coffee and he said to me completely normal, must persevere as it takes 3 weeks to break a habit and 3 months to create a new one, if you can force yourself to stick it out it will become second nature. He was right, 8 years later and I can’t even begin to think about adding sugar to my coffee now., so you are absolutely right, there is no motivation and the beginning, just determination to get past first hurdle!

  • I started eating better in February. I decided that I wasn’t going on a diet and instead trained my brain to crave healthier options without feeling restricted. If I feel like eating pizza, I eat it and move on. No guilt, no “falling off the wagon” mentality. This has really worked for me! I’ve lost 60 lbs! Also, I have cooked so many of your incredible recipes and you taught me that I can make small modifications to recipes to make them healthy without sacrificing flavor. Thanks Dani!

  • I’ve started doing ab crunches in the last couple of weeks and I’ve failed at times but I’ve been consistent the last 5 or so days and I’m starting to see small results in the formation of abs. The results are only small so far, but they’re still results nonetheless!! I now feel motivated to go a step further and cut my eating portions down a bit and consume less sugar. I also feel motivated to add in different exercises.

  • I lost 5 kilos during the lockdown by setting up a daily calorie target and creating a weekly meal plan to achieve my goals. Nothing too drastic, just that I had to cook an easy meal every day. I tried to create a healthy menu that I also enjoyed:). I think planning helps make it easier to reach the motivation stage. I also discovered your videos and was excited to try new clean and delicious recipes (like the baked vegetable frittata, crunchy baked tofu and overnight oats). I think the main takeaway is to plan ahead and try to make the experience as enjoyable as possible.:)

  • I get the whole mono-diet thing. Of course potatoes are not a good long term choice: starch is just long chains of glucose molecules. Potato=Sugar. This reset is like starting over as a baby: eat rice, oats, potatoes, and then add veggies and they are delicious, later fruit. Never go on to the processed garbage. Then we would all be healthy and love vegan foods.

  • 3 days into my potato mono diet journey and each of those days I’ve had uncomfortable cramping, bloating, and gas; is that normal and does it eventually go away?

  • I just did day 1 and I’m potatoed out. I ate a crapload of potatoes today. It wasn’t terrible. Towards the end of the evening, I was craving a little ketchup or butter. I think I’m just going to do the potato thing a couple days a week, with regular meals in between. The blue potatoes are the bomb.

    Tomorrow morning I’m cooking steak and eggs for breakfast. Can’t wait.

  • I am thankful there are people out their who put out their videos to help others in not becoming like them about weight. Seems most of us have a weight number we reach that we need to change our lives. Two words will make the scale go the other way: Caloric deficit. Various ways to get there. Good for you two.
