The fast pace of change in the nutrition world can make it challenging to separate myth from reality. Myth #4: Skipping meals helps you lose weight Many people believe that if they eat less throughout the day, they’ll weigh less eventually; this is a variation on the simplistic calorie-cutting formula that doesn’t work either. So many times, I have seen this plan backfire and never lead to healthy, maintainable weight loss. 4 Myths Nutritionists Wish People Would Forget. There are misconceptions about nutrition and weight loss — here are some top picks.

  • Monetizing the carnivorous movement. Hahahahah. The meat industry is SOOOOOO HAPPY! Perhaps they have been pushing all this. The saw the Vegan, Keto, Atkins diets which took $ from their pockets, what better way to beat them than by making your own “carnivorous” movement. Not arguing against it, just saying there are profits to be made and bribes to be paid.

  • I fall asleep when watching TV in bed so it does the opposite to me haha.
I disagree with the trainer on training fasted your body is canabolizing your muscles eating itself is complete outdated bro science it depends on alot of factors.

  • The light thing before bed is always so confusing to me because I’ll be watching something and I’ll start falling asleep but as soon as I put my phone down I fully awake again

  • So does it mean, that Humans are biologically like lions, eagles, crocodiles, sharks…? Carnivores only? Human ancestors are related to todays anthropoid apes, right? And they ate at least fruits and nuts and different kinds of not meat food?

  • Calories in calories out. Throwing feelings into it is a load of bs. You stop eating you will loose weight.Just because you can’t stick to it and stuff yourself later doesn’t make it untrue

  • Salting your drinking water for more hydration. WHAT THE HELL?! This is why I don’t take meathead trainers seriously and listen to nutritionists (the master degree or higher one) your body already has trace minerals in the blood or liver if you eat properly. The most hydrating thing would be distilled water but that actually pulls said minerals from you and injecting it makes your red blood cells go kaboom (osmotic hemolysis), so don’t do that either.

  • Straight carnivore since the first of August. So glad to hear the muscle building as I was majorly concerned about weight loss. Parasitic infection took me down, way down & struggling to hang onto 115lbs. At 6ft, thats a bit scary . I am at 18% body fat, so.. I think I will stop ✋ worrying. Especially since I now have the energy to get onto my gym again. Day 3, brain fog lifted. Day 5 I was on my total gym lightly. Coming off the floor, I WILL TAKE IT ☑ Thanks Mike, as always and love you Dr. Berry

  • Annoying that in the first part of sleep the guy is answering way more of the questions and also talking much more. You should watch out for that

  • Dr. Robbins has such a uniquely soothing voice. It’s a proven fact that listening to her speak for a minimum of five minutes lowers stress levels.

  • Round 2! Thank you so much Abbey. There is an astonishingly large amount of misinformation floating around about fat free and low fat foods.

  • The muscle weighs more than fat debunk is the dumbest thing I’ve heard in a while. So because a pound of one thing is the same as a pound of another then neither of those things are heavier than the other. Here’s the problem. By that logic you can’t say anything is heavier than anything else. Gold isnt heavier than helium because a pound of each both weigh the same. Thing is we’re not talking about purely weight were talking about volume. A square inch of muscle weighs more than a square inch of fat. Therefore if you burn fat but gain muscle you may see your weight stay the same or increase even though your physically getting smaller.

  • I dont understand wht they always tell, skipping meals dont help you lose weight or cutting calories or not eating will not help you. It does help you lose weight, even faster than ever if you have the disapline but it is very unhealthy but is does work

  • I love the videos on this channel and was somewhat disheartened when I saw the glucose schematic at 3:00. For any chemists or biologists reading or viewing this video you may be thinking, “Hey, wait a minute, glucose is a hexagonal ring, not a pentagonal.” Well, I looked it up and the pentagonal ring at 3:00 is legit. It’s a tautomer (Same formula, slightly different structure) of the hexagonal and straight chain glucoses. Whew!

  • But I’m confused how to actually do carnivore correctly. Like as a 33 year old 5’2 200 lb female how much meat, what kind of meats, how often am I supposed to be eating? There is so much confusing information online.

  • I was diagnosed with acid reflux at 6 years old…my parents were told to avoid spicy foods….fast forward to 33 years old and I found people like Berry, tried keto and carnivore…and discovered that eating meat and a few veggies I eliminated my acid reflux and my stomach no longer stays permanently at 9 months pregnant level swollen. So many years of suffering for nothing. Also dx with non systemic lupus…guess what helps my joint inflammation? That’s right..keto and carnivore

  • I could never have imagined that listening to a doctor on the other side of the globe would change the course of my life. Amazing feeling being on Carnivore. I thank Dr Ken Berry for sticking his neck out and going against conventional wisdom

  • At the grocery store, the bloated people are the ones with animal products in their baskets. Plants-only consumers are not practicing abuse and cruelty to animals, and they are lean, fit, healthy… BMI 19 to 20. Carnivore diet is insanely sick, vile, and stupid. They all have that ugly fat bulgy gut.

  • I dont understand wht they always tell, skipping meals dont help you lose weight or cutting calories or not eating will not help you. It does help you lose weight, even faster than ever if you have the disapline but it is very unhealthy but is does work

  • Why does she say cooking all foods on high heats can be carcinogenic? I was under the impression that only meat at high heats alters the proteins not vegetables? Can anyone elaborate please?

  • Eat what you want no matter about the cruelty behind intensive farming? I would have thought that if you care at all about the welfare of animals that would have been a factor.

  • If you have the Periscope app check out Jac0b 007’s channel. It’s a nightly broadcast bridging the gap between believers and nonbelievers. He’s atheist desiring evidence that a god exists. Jac0b has a zero in it not the letter O.

  • My goodness, your story about Semmelweis is applicable today with Coronavirus. The greyed hair man (Fauci) will not listen to the advice of a panel of younger doctors that state Hydroxychloroquine can treat this infection. Dr. Berry are very wise, Washington can use a man like you that truly cares for the people’s wellbeing.

  • Don’t get your hair chemically processed while you’re pregnant! Not because of harm to the baby but because babies high jack your hormones and poop on your chemical balance especially if you have preexisting conditions. The same color you’ve used dozens of times will somehow turn out shitty (like super brassy or gray tones) or your hair gets really dry and breaks off. Just save yourself some heartache and wait, especially if you are paying someone else to do it for you. ‍♀️

  • You know the ironic thing would be
People who study sleep and are like doctors in sleep, aren’t getting enough sleep. That’s a bad example

  • What a great interview, I watched it in one sitting! Doctor Berry is a true pioneer. Intellect was omni present & content was eye opening… thanks Mike

  • The light thing before bed is always so confusing to me because I’ll be watching something and I’ll start falling asleep but as soon as I put my phone down I fully awake again

  • Calories in calories out. Throwing feelings into it is a load of bs. You stop eating you will loose weight.Just because you can’t stick to it and stuff yourself later doesn’t make it untrue

  • I’m not sure when the Pregnant Women one was filmed but do you think the studies on how much plastic are in ALL fish would change their answer? and should we be concerned about that?

  • There are some people they don’t care what makes them health or live longer….They are food addicts and that’s how they will be till they die. With some you would like to do an intervention….with others it’s live and let live….

  • He’s right guys. This information is spot on. I just lost 20lbs on Keto. Changing diet is hard, but loosing extremities to diabetes is harder. God bless Dr. Berry. ‍⚕️

  • When Dr. Mason said those people were averaging 1 BM every 6.8 days I had to pause and reflect on how people are walking around right now shitting once a week. What in the world….

  • I fall asleep when watching TV in bed so it does the opposite to me haha.
I disagree with the trainer on training fasted your body is canabolizing your muscles eating itself is complete outdated bro science it depends on alot of factors.

  • Love your videos! I know a lot of people who drink shakes and juices, spending lots of money to “cleanse.” Thank you for posting this!

  • Ahhhhhhhh Science…always makes me feel better when all the bullshit of the world brings me down. Going to have to follow you now.

  • I’m convinced. I’ve spent the last three years eating lowered carb (but still too much). I lost 25 lbs in the first few to 6 months (close to keto) and about 10 more over a longer period. I’m hardly keto now but am eating considerably fewer carbs than the SAD diet. Having seen what lowered carbs has done for me and I’m ready to try the carnivore diet. (Also after watching some of Ken Berry’s videos.)

  • at about the one hour mark you mentioned a farmer: he is joel salitan from swoop virginia… the author of the book this ain’t normal… ✌

  • It only took this baffoon several words into it to dam God’s name…That did it for me..No respect for the beliefs of others even if he doesn’t care that he is headed towards Hell that he apparently doesn’t believe exists.

  • So I’m watching this on phoen and while the study info on fiberless diet was going on I got an ad for fiber based anti constipation medicine. Nice going youtube

  • My mother’s on a cleanse, wich includes no white food, including no milk potatoes tomatoes butter coffee tea bread, only using olive oil, what do you think? She eats less than 1300 calories a day, never eats processed food but can’t seem to lose weight.

  • No it wouldn’t, the land requirements are too extreme to maintain this for more than a few people. Whether it works nutrition wise is a different story.

Though I have to wonder if another diet might have yielded better results as well?

  • Ok, but why not talk about the harm that meat is doing to the body, I understand the part with the legumes but I am sure that meat has some downsides.

  • dont eat too much meat u pigs. shame on you!!! ever hear of DIGESTION? disgusting. meat eater advocate looks sick and jordan peterson is on xanax so gtfo

  • i have an unrecognised type of OCD which makes me walk till i all but can’t anymore and hobble home. being outside and moving reduces my life-long and professionally ignored permanent headache/dizziness.
so i gained a habitual compulsion to get out and go at every opportunity which is causing severe muscle and joint issues due to excessive wear and tear, exacerbating my congenital and premature arthritis symptoms and is also filling my lungs with traffic dirt (leading to copd like i was smoking 80 a day for thirty years). Being on the move outside on foot or bicycle was once my greatest pleasure, and my only actual relief from the headaches, but now it’s a torture i can’t stop doing to myself, because i can’t cope with the headspins when i’m stationary for even a couple of hours. now i’m on welfare i’m going out every two-three hours for at least one hour and it’s causing me severe endless pain in my leg muscles, joints and foot arches, yet still relieving the headache while i’m moving
    doc’s response?
    . ”cool, walking’s good.”
yeh -he’s one of them who has selective hearing, no concept of pain and a glazed-over, distracted look in his eye whenever you describe symptoms which your ”demographic” ”shouldn’t” have.

  • The all meat diet ended up making Jordan Peterson addicted to Benzo which then lead to him going into an medically induced coma in Russia…so yea the all meat diet is completely safe!

  • Carnivore has been the best thing that happened for my family. And it makes cooking so much easier, especially with me working all day. Hubby just has to cook up some meat, easy peasy.

  • Before big corps’ and mass population we only ate what grew during the season it was pretty simple and meats and fish could be year around. Society through greed will destroy itself and those left will fall back to the natural way of human existence and not these delusional concepts of veganism etc. Its a scientific fact that males produce less sperm then their grandfathers now at this very given time so you see its the start of the end of the human race in 200 years there will be very few being born so that the old die off and the population decreases. Of course there will be those harvesting sperm and selling it for millions but those of us that fight back will stop this and let nature take its corse.

  • 3:20 After your explanation of glucose inhibiting the carrying of Vitamin C in the body. That would explain why the Inuit of Canada, developed Scurvy (Vitamin C deficiency) after eating quantities of “White Men” ‘s food. According to Vladmiri Steffonson. It makes alot of logical sense! Interesting…

  • I dare say: raise your own life intake, grow a garden, raise chickens, feed your pigs! Nothing against meat eaters beside the 50x amount of space that you occupy on a field.

  • A donut takes my anxiety and depression away every time. Eat what the hell you want, sooner or later everybody dies, especially these days with covid. If I followed this diet, i’d be dead in a month.

  • Fascinating, great video. One big topic not mentioned is fruits. Since many plants produce fruits which contain seeds they actually benefit from animals consuming the fruit and spreading the seeds in their droppings. Perhaps fruit is the best source of carbs and vitamins. Unfortunately any fruit you buy today is highly genetically modified so you’re getting a lot more fructose and probably much less micronutrients..

  • I eat nothing but meat. I eat veggies but not very much… I lost 22lbs so far on it. My skin did clear up! Meat had 23 nutrients you need for your body. Veggies don’t have any. They block your body from absorbing nutrients from animal meat. So veggies are toxic anyways. Vegans eat to much of it and they start to look old. Their body is screaming for animal proteins and fats.

  • I do a kidney cleanse daily,  here is the secret recepie, first take 2 litres of water, add the juice of 1 half lime (optional) drink the water over the course of the day. urinate, cleanse completed.

  • Commenters. Do not be surprised that your gvt lies to you about what you should eat. They give you foods that make you sick so they can give you meds.. or you just keep buying more food. Take a deep breath. Eat a steak by itself for dinner. See how you feel the next day. MAKE YOUR OWN CHOICES

  • Ken wears a black shirt to hide that big bloated gut. He preaches a message that a lot of meat addicts want to hear. Then those same meat addicts trade anecdotal information about their weight loss and a couple of other indicator numbers that they use to swear by this grossly unhealthy diet. If they get constipated on this low fiber insanity you’ll never hear about that. They’re in a tribal cult, so the negative stories get swept under the rug and never mentioned. Meanwhile Ken rakes in the dough.

  • Peterson says he was less anxious but got himself so anxious that he got himself hooked on anti anxiety medicine! Kinda ironic wouldn’t you say! Guess the carnivore diet didn’t relieve his anxiety overtime and it was merely a placebo or just a temporary relief of his anxiety!

  • You know the ironic thing would be
People who study sleep and are like doctors in sleep, aren’t getting enough sleep. That’s a bad example

  • I’ve been on carnivore for 18 months. At age 65, my lifetime IBS went away, my bowel movement is perfect, the terrible smell is gone, I lost 45 pounds, my depression went away, my energy levels are through the roof, my skin rashes went away, bloating is gone, teeth and gums perfectly healthy, and more. The best thing I’ve ever done and would recommend highly trying. Try it for 30 days, and see what happens. Also do restricted eating 8 hour window per day.

  • Is this while he was severely addicted to anxiety medication lmao I love the guy but you don’t know what’s working for you at that point that heavily medicated

  • Notice how all the literature promotes non nutritious foods such as grains and bran? Yeah that is for you sheeple, the elites are all carnivores.

  • I’m 39 days into the carnivore lifestyle and I’ve lost 27 pounds and I feel like a beast… I sleep better, I wake up easier in the mornings, and I have mental clarity and hyper focus throughout the day with no energy crashes… Zero exaggeration.

  • Fact is carnivores societies like Eskimos and tibetans have shorter life expectancy. Blue zone countries, the world leaders in longevity, are mostly vegetarian. Even carnivores animals like lion, tiger etc have much shorter life span compared to herbivores.

Nature also give hint of what humans should be eating
    1) only 12% of our teeth are canines
    2) our intestines length and stomach acidity are much more similar to hervivores.

    This is science.

  • This is an interesting study about the effect of EMFs on gut bacteria. Dr. Jack Kruse talks a lot about this as well. https://www.greenmedinfo.com/blog/groundbreaking-study-shows-shielding-emf-improves-autoimmune-disease1

  • So basically everyone is different, and other people can’t tell you what to eat because there is no one perfect diet, since everyone is a bit different. I mean, the examples given make sense to me. For example, the coffee bean has caffeine in it to kill insects that try to eat it. Some people do great with milk and peanuts in their diet, while others are lactose intolerant and so allergic to peanuts that it can kill them.

I don’t want to make any mistakes on the diet, here it is, So what do you think about what I’ve, done so far.

  • OK, where I live beef is not easily available. If I wanna try this diet, is there any other alternative, like pork or chicken maybe?

  • i have an unrecognised type of OCD which makes me walk till i all but can’t anymore and hobble home. being outside and moving reduces my life-long and professionally ignored permanent headache/dizziness.

  • So this video is actually downplaying the people who have gender dysphoria and decide to change their gender because of who they really are inside. Thats messed up. There is no trans without dysphoria.

  • Stretch marks are genetic. If your Mom had em, you will probably get them. Also you can’t tell the gender of the baby by how you look, how you are carrying and heart rate. I carried all my babies high, I have two boys and one girl. I looked a hot mess pregnant. Regardless of girl or boy. I hated all the advice I got from people about my pregnancies.

  • Annoying that in the first part of sleep the guy is answering way more of the questions and also talking much more. You should watch out for that

  • The thumbnail implies that drinking while pregnant does not damage your child leading parrents to believe drinking while having a child is an acceptable thing. Please think of thumbnails and the effects they have before posting.

  • but doesnt pink himalayan sea salt have less than 1% as those minerals? Don’t think it would really help rebuild anything to water.

  • Nobody claiming that muscle weighs more than fat states it the way that is named as a myth, but in the way with which the “expert” agrees. And the bit about mental health workers pushing medication has some basis; my daughter went to two specialists and they both pushed medication within the first few weeks. Found out that the first therapist was pushing a placebo. Now my daughter has a dim view of the entire field.

  • So this video is actually downplaying the people who have gender dysphoria and decide to change their gender because of who they really are inside. Thats messed up. There is no trans without dysphoria.

  • I’m allergic to lactose and yeast. All I eat is meat, greens, rice, fish and homemade chips, noodles, ect. Basically, I’m a great home cook. I’m thinking of trying a keto diet to see if it will reduce anymore bloating, headaches, sleep issues, ect. If it works, I might go just meat for a while and see how I do.

  • I lost about 30kg/66lbs over a year on keto/carinivore. It was very nice to loose the weight, but what surprised me was all the other things that went away. The acid reflux, the joinpaint, back and knee problems, I had issues with my skin that is now gone, my lobeto is fantastic now and my dandruff that I used to have to NUKE with special expensive shampoo is gone.
The strangest thing is going from a person who needed 12 horses to get me out of bed to get to work on time and now I wake up 5.25 every morning as clockworks! I dont need 3 alarms clocks anymore, infact I dont need any. I just wake up! And I am no longer a morning zombie!
    How can this be bad?

  • Today is my first day on Carnivore. I literally just had bacon and eggs for breakfast and i have a large T bone steak ready to cook for dinner later tonight. I am not looking forward to the gut ache and poops whilst i transition hahaha ( P.S. the reason i am trying this extreme diet is i am diabetic and overweight, i have tried other diets and failed to lose the weight )

  • Excuse my ignorance. I just found out about carnivore diet today. Ive heard some people say you can eat bacon and some say you cant eat bacon on carnivore. Do you know can you eat it or not. I love bacon and it is fatty so i thought it would be good for you.

  • I’m full carnivore but I’m not sure I follow the logic at the start entirely. I’m with you on vegetables, but what about fruit? Fruit propagates in the droppings of animals that eat them and drop seeds. So they “want” to be eaten, hence the sweet taste.

  • Same human nature… except now the problem of the higher status doctors who don’t practice are bullying patient-facing doctors and adversely affecting patient care. And insurance companies have frightened doctors from being open and forthcoming in their care.

  • One correction: Shawn Baker has been doing the carnivore diet for about 2 years, *not 7*.

Re: +Vincent Vendetta on Inuits having higher rates of heart disease, low life expectancy et cetera
The studies you linked look at modern inuit, making them irrelevant: [pubmed/18457208 pubmed/12535749 pubmed/19800772 pubmed/20548980] For the studies to be relevant, they would need to be looking at Inuit before Westernization, i.e. 1910 or earlier, and maybe much earlier than that. Amber O’Hearn pointed out that as early as 1857, Inuit in Greenland had had Flour and Sugar introduced to their diet.
[1] The first study looks at at Inuit from 1989-2003
[2] The second is a study from 2003, what time period the data is coming from is unclear, but it’s very unlikely it comes from early 1900’s.
[3] The data is from 2000-2004
    [4] Data is from 2009 or 2010.

(This is important to clarify, so I’ve added it to the pinned comment for visibility)

  • I’m just a normal person, not at all in the medical field, and it is all of a sudden “everyone” is having thyroid issues. I wonder, too, what is going on?

  • My parents did some meal replacement shake diet and lost a crap ton a weight but then gained it all back because you can’t drink those shakes forever. Glad there was some sanity from you back when this was so popular.

  • Hey y’all! I’m 56 year old female And I’ve been on and off carnivore. This time it’s been about a month and it’s actually been a game changer with chronic fatigue! Lost 17 pounds so far and losing inches. Try carnivore for a month! Keep a journal! God bless!

  • Been on the carni train since last November by no means was it a linear transition but still got some positive results lots of pain stiffness inflammation issues resolved or greatly improved, my vitals are fine, lost close to 80lbs and sleep apnea is in check. Been a minute since I checked in on these vids

  • human dental structure tells us we can eat both meat and plants…going fully one way or the other isnt healthy..thats just common sense. yes cavemen eat all meat…and died at 20. vegans will have to substitute the fat and proteins they miss from meat…there are essential fats and proteins we all must have to survive. there are no essential carbs.

  • What’s crazy about all these videos is that you can’t really deny his research since he presents sources for all of his major claims, while also warning the audience if the data source isn’t very clear.

  • I can somewhat relate to these two gentlemen when referring to their children….and children in general. I got an allowance growing up that was pretty generous for a 10-12 year old. I would use the vast majority of that allowance on junk food and fast food. I’m sure my folks knew what I was doing but they never put restrictions on me towards food and eating. Today I have a very unhealthy relationship with food and I’m morbidly obese. Keto/Carnivore will help me reach a healthy weight without feeling ravenous all the time.

  • While I don’t think fat people are “lazy” or that it’s their “fault”. But calories in and calories out is sound science. Unfortunately, it’s incredibly hard for a lot of people to actually limit calories. But if you put a fat person in a totally controlled environment and FORCE them to stay in a calorie deficit, they WILL lose weight. Keto is a great tool to help people control the out of control appetite that derails them on calorie restriction diets. But to act like there is no truth to calories in vs out, is just plain wrong. The real question is why is it so hard for people to limit calorie intake? The answer is metabolic dysfunction. They don’t fail at weight watchers because calorie counting doesn’t work, they fail because it’s too hard to stick to the restrictive portions, and weighing out food, etc.

  • Just my horror, pink hamalayan seasalt from an expert well there we go. Maybe you will find someone that suggest crystals around our cooking area and that will make us lose weight. Jesus christ.

  • so meat saved his health
    but anything non-meat RUINED it?
Vegetables, fruits, grains, etc RUINED his health?

    Laughable

surprise, he has a book you can buy, too!

  • I hear a lot about it helping with autoimmune problems, has anyone had any experience with this diet and MS? Does it help? MS is very common in my family along with Lupus and Thyroid issues.

  • keto diet worked for me thank god after my lower back injury back in 2017 i grained 36kg+ from 101kg so i went upto 137kg i cant wokout i got depression which is still going on later i had an opening in my diaframe plus i had tons of acid reflux i was on waiting list and got my acid reflux surgery on 30th September 2019 i starteed keto diet before my surgey and carried on after my acid reflux surgery and god damm i cant workout but honestly i am today 104kg im 187cm tall which is around 6feet2inch but i wish i could still workout but it works keto works im not eating any carbohydrates and i feel great although im still having my lower back pain plus i had an car accident on 6th of November after my acid reflux surgery my stitches came apart in my diaframe so going for surgery again plus i was bleeding from my back where as im on out patient colonoscopy list and i will be under the knife again to fix my acid reflux again but i will keep doing keto diet for life it works it really works

  • but doesnt pink himalayan sea salt have less than 1% as those minerals? Don’t think it would really help rebuild anything to water.

  • Just my horror, pink hamalayan seasalt from an expert well there we go. Maybe you will find someone that suggest crystals around our cooking area and that will make us lose weight. Jesus christ.

  • Day six of carnivore OMAD. (after being Keto and interm. fasting for a year and 9 months 60 lbs gone but a 7 month plateau) Just ache all over. All the arthritis areas are stiff. Will this go away? Or am I being triggered by beef?

  • It appears Dr Berry is carrying too much visceral belly fat? Results speak for themselves and a carnivore diet seems to be extreme? Good luck to all though

  • Great interview. My sister went vegan she gained a ton of weight and blamed it on hormones. I went keto then carnivore lost a ton of weight. More energy than her eat less. She can’t look at it says she hates meat now but keeps gaining weight and her energy is bad she works out like crazy and more weight gain. I can’t even read what’s is on the box of the food she eats. Lol. Thank you dr ken for being a wealth of amazing info amen

  • I wonder what you guys think about mTOR and how eating meat on a daily basis how this can blunt any longevity that a plant based diet may confer for example, too much protein affects this pathway.
Also how about the IGF1/HGH dietary surges by eating animal proteins or too much it on the cancer increase risks?

  • I’ve been getting 4-5 hours of sleep every since I started high school, even on vacations I need to wake up early to go read at the library that’s 2 hours away for a 20 page minimum research paper on dubious topics… as soon as I get home I pass out I don’t sleep. I literally close my eyes and boom I wake up and it’s 6pm. I get home at around 4pm

  • Unfortunately many man made chemicals and forever-chemicals remains in the fats of animals. Unless you grow or raise your own food, you cannot avoid the food industry and thus you cannot trust their cost cutting practices.

  • So, the advertisement I just watched before the video played was for some kind of product that makes it possible for you to enjoy all your favorite carbs, fruits desserts and adult drinks and still supposedly getting the benefits of Keto.

  • I have inflammation in my eyes which doesn’t seem to go away with injections/drops. I’m going keto first and eventually will go full carnivore.

  • I want to try this, I’m just a little concerned about cholesterol as heart disease runs in my family. Does anyone know how this diet effects cholesterol?

  • I’ve been getting 4-5 hours of sleep every since I started high school, even on vacations I need to wake up early to go read at the library that’s 2 hours away for a 20 page minimum research paper on dubious topics… as soon as I get home I pass out I don’t sleep. • The end of the debate for me could easily happen, but no one ever talks about these markers. It would require just two simple things: 1 We need a coronary angiogram performed on a few people from baseline to a year on carnivore and a year on Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn’s strict plant-based diet. The reason this would end the debate for me is not because of people being healthy enough doing one or another, but to break down what people with heart disease should do. That is what matters to me, given my family’s history with heart disease. 2 We need to see cholesterol after one year. Esselstyn’s research demonstrated reversal of heart disease in 20+ patients who were given less than a year to live, given keeping total cholesterol below 150 mg/dL and only consuming fruits, veggies, legumes and lentils, grains (NO OIL. The only person who required a second bypass in his study had been sneaking in oil). I did Vince Gironda’s diet for 6 months. I felt good in the gym, did much more on all machines. But, what did my aerobic capacity and arteries look like? I don’t know. Most videos are repeating stuff I have heard. Is it Christmas yet? Could I get these two things?

  • There are some things missing:

    1. Meat or fish which is not wild or pasture raised, full of drugs, stressed and the food of the animal was like the western diet to us, then we eat crap and toxic Omega 6 levels, homones, pestizide, drugs..To be the top of a profit driven self poisoning food chain is not superior its self destruction and not really intelligent overall…

    2. Carnivore animals do not eat first muscle flesh, instead they eat the stomach and gut with fiber, organs, brain, fat and bone marrow…What do the people buy in a supermarket…

    3. Lektins are to minimize but a lot of phytonutrients are good stressors in moderation and cyclical for the body like sulphorphane, curcumin, etc. For the most people carnivore is not the solution for every day and only

    4. Not only what we eat is important, its when, how often, which saison, etc.

    5. Aging is driven by MTor and IGF1, a lot of carnivores are never in authophagy even with omad because of too much protein every day. So measuring the Ketone levels is a must and cleaning up is best over fasting or if we get ill and fever to not eat anything…

    6. saisonal means feast phases too where we are not keto. Permanent keto and autophagy is not the best according to some regeneration processes, I would say up to 80 % of the year, some phases more carbs (still low carb or moderate carb) in summer and more animals in the hunting saison. So more protein and carb cycling but of course no grains or processed sugars etc. and everything we invented for our comfort and joy like a beer, wine, cake… at least if then very occasionally and mindful

    7. healthy way of living without bad aging is about reconnecting to needs our adapted genes and yes this is big difference between tropical humans or gens from norway or dry areas and a lot of people try to define the holy grale and a religion so thanks Dr. Berry for saying everybody needs to connect to a regional gene adapted diet… One thing is clear no native folk lived 100 % vegan

    8. The same is for plant based food, wild herbs and vegetables and fruits on rich soils would be nice but supplements are in some ways needed because the most industrial produced crap is not rich in nutrients.

    9. We all can choose to fast, move and rest the mind regularly and simulate a lifestyle of our ancestors or native folks.
The best way of living would be to questioning a big part of our developments which made us lazy, using chemicals, living against our clock, light needs and eating or drinking delicious crap…etc.

progress needs a good why other than in a capitalistic world where humans act more like earth’s superior cancer… look at a night picture from space to earth it’s like a PET/ CT

  • Abbey,, you are amazing and so smart. Please get rid of the background music..if I turn it down, I can’t hear what you are saying and everything you say is so important to me. I’m going on 82 and still able to learn from you, and that’s what I’ve been doing. God bless you.

  • Can someone make a list of myths in this video (with the time) so we don’t have to scroll through the video and just search the one we like to see?

  • Also, the Inuit people have adjusted to a unique diet over generations. They are a testament to the adaptability of our species, but we don’t live like the Inuit. We haven’t developed like the Inuit, and we would never actually eat the same diet they eat.

  • The idea of carnivore as an elimination diet sounds great but I have an issue with the cheese burgers from Wendy’s with processed cheese and the meat is of the lowest quality which are cattle being fed grains and antibiotics, I think if you’re really serious about your health you need to be aware of what kind of meat you’re putting in your body.

  • I just discovered you thanks to Dr. Mindy Pelz. I’ve been keto and intermittent fasting for 19 months. I have needed to lose at least 50 pounds, but could only lose 20. I have tried so hard. So when I found you I really thought I’ve nothing to lose. I’m on day 5 of strict carnivore and am dropping weight and feeling so great. Back pain disappeared. A lot of mental clarity. I must be one of those people who needs nearly zero carbs. It truly is the first time that when I’ve fasted for 19 or more hours that I have not experienced hunger, even though I have been fat adapted for a long time now. Thank you so much for improving the quality of my life!

  • Carnivore 17 months lost 95 pounds and that is the least of it. It has saved my life. Thanks to Dr. Kim Berry And Ivor Cummings And many more. Listening to carnivore doctors lectures on YouTube has really helped.

  • Hi Dr. Berry…I appreciate your candidness and your humility regarding health. Also can you share, how to rid a heart and arteries of calcium??????Thank you! thank you much!!!

  • Can you talk more about why you don’t recommend juicing? I normally have celery juice for breakfast (not a big breakfast fan due to indigestion) and I’ve heard you say juice is not an adequate breakfast. What can I add to make it more nutritionally balanced?

  • He’s so accurate, I try and preach to the unconverted, but they are starting to ask what I’m doing,,hopefully I’ll get there I want everyone I know how good I feel

  • Guys, this sounds good and healthful… and I appreciate the results that people get by doing carnivore or keto (with meat) but I just can’t support animal agriculture because it’s the #1 destroyer of the environment and is totally unsustainable, especially with the current human population… honestly need to find a different way to achieve healthful results that are plant-based.

  • I am about 95% carnivore (meat, eggs, butter, cheese) now, but I had to add back a small amount of spinach/kale because I ran out of leave time staying home to be close to the toilet. You cannot work in some environments when you have to pee out of your rump hole every hour.

  • I’m on the fence about giving carnivore a try during Dry July (starting on the 5th). Yes, we’ve got plenty of access to organ meats, variety of chicken, pork, lamb, beef, and wild caught fish, but what about cheeses and milk? Are those allowed in the 1-month detox? I assume bone broth is okay? Dr. Berry says he drinks coffee daily, but is that allowed for the first month?

  • His example about the dr. going from the morgue to delivering babies and struggles to show the world that they were wrong is exactly whats playing out now with corona and now the second virus coming from pigs in China. I would love to eat meat every day all day but the reality is that most of us can’t afford grass fed AND grass finished meat. The world is ingesting disease and bacteria through factory farmed meat.

  • Can someone make a list of myths in this video (with the time) so we don’t have to scroll through the video and just search the one we like to see?

  • You definetely DONT need milk to get enough calcium. That´s not a myth, that´s a truthfull statement.

All major nutrition organizations say that a well planned vegan diet is appropiate for any kind of person on any stage of development.
