  • I always thought I’d never loose my fat belly because I didn’t have a shut off switch. I ate because I loved to eat. This diet is a miracle for me. A new way of life! Thanks for the things you share!!

  • So lately I’ve been viewing mire & more of your videos at first it was for the greater good health of a family member of mine, my mother, but I’ve been enjoying the well-learned education myself. But the way you explain these strategies for reaching a weight-loss goal seem very smart. Obviously you’ve science & fact to support your theories. I’m attempting to get her more interested in hearing what you’ve to say via your coaching program. But she feels that bc she’s 72 it may not be for her. But I constantly encourage all the positives she has been able to break-free from.
And so that perhaps she can receive some guided nutrional help at this journey in her life.

  • boo… fuck this video it has garbage information, everyone give up because something is hard, hate that I’m even putting it higher in the algorithm cause of my comment, booo

  • Dr. Campbell is absolutely right on all 3 points. This is also common knowledge, but is still well worth being said. However don’t forget about your fiber intake as well.

  • I don’t know… seems pretty restrictive and perfect to me. Are you sure people can keep doing that and not be messing themselves up. That looks like keeping up the ‘diet’ but we all know what happens when we do that, it’s an eating disorder

  • Thank you so much for telling me what the problem is, you want to tell me how to fix it now? Oh no okay just end the video, okay cool

  • Real weight loss winners are those who understand what it takes to keep it off. I have struggled with my weight for many years because when I would reach my goal, I fell into the old habits trap.
Now I realize its about changing your eating habits for good.
Its always been easy for me to reach my goal weight but I recognize this time that I can’t eat frozen pizza, Pop Tarts, potato chips anymore. Instead of a sandwich with processed lunch meat, I use meat I cooked at home.Instead of chips I eat nuts and instead of sugary baked goods I eat fruit. I do allow myself a candy bar once in awhile.
Its all about portion control and healthy foods

  • Love your teaching on solid nutrition. It’s incredible how little we hear about healthy fats from those who are helping us stay fit. Do you have any videos on the great benefits of consistent cardio exercise? My Doctor says that’s a huge plus for us all.

  • Thank you for this video. I’m on day three no sugar! No one has died yet. Thought this was interesting as well. I’ve recently watched an Australian documentary ABC Science regarding our gut biome in our large intestine. Processed foods and sugar are the same to me now. As they both spike insulin but going a bit deeper, poor quality food and sugar feeds the poor bacteria and this is directly linked to the hormone insulin spikes as well. Within a week of no fast food this young gymnast was no longer on his way to insulin resistance. I want to master this nutritional knowledge as best I can for sustainable health. Oh and congratulations.

  • Any food on a weight loss diet will do.Its about reducing daily caloric intake.
A Kanas State nutritionist proved this 10 years ago by eating 1800 calories a day that consisted of only Twinkies and HoHo’s.He added exercise and vitamin supplements. Lost 15 pounds in 30 days and improved his cholesterol and blood pressure

  • Hi dr. I just subscribed to your program. I’ve been trying to loose weight for over two years now and I’ve only lost 20 lbs. I’m not losing hope can’t wait to get started. So excited. Thank u for your videos. Your a good teacher. So I’m headed to the coaching program now thank u.

  • That is why you need things like surgery, drugs, or psychological changes (eating disorder) to get weight loss in most people that sticks in the west.

If your normal biological response to the modern environment is obesity then you either change the environment entirely or you change the animal. In either case willpower is not the answer

  • Best video by him that I’ve seen! I had vsg 3 years ago, lost 107 lbs. I’ve gained back almost 25!!! I never had a solid system in place like he talks about.. I pretty much thought I was good because I eat so much less than I used to, but I was wrong!! It came on quick when life got stressful. This video was very informative and I’m going to put it to use to take off this regain and hopefully a little more.

  • Does Custokebon Secrets (google it) help me lost tons of weight? I see a lot of people keep on speaking about this popular weight loss secrets.

  • Exercise and healthy, limited eating. That is the answer. Everyone wants to complicate the answer. You need a calorie deficit of 3500 to lose 1 pound. You can do it from exercise, eating healthy, or both. That’s it. Tip 1: if you can’t remember everything you ate in a day, you are eating too much. Tip 2: the body thrives on consistency, its a slow and steady marathon not a sprint. Tip 3 weigh yourself every morning after the bathroom. Wear the same clothing. The trend should be down. Tip 4: Do a limited exercise program that you can easily fit in at home. If you have to drive to a gym, or its too long and intense, you won’t do it. Tip 5: layoff the booze, sugary drinks, etc. The odd drink is ok. Tip 6: Walk and move, everything you can do burns calories. Take the stairs, walk to the store, it all adds up. Today’s society is all about labour saving. Motion is lotion. Tip 7: Want to look great? Get your BMI down near 20. Guys will have abs and women will be lean and mean. Tip 8: Don’t believe any of this lose 15 pounds in a week etc. That will only happen if you get a limb amputated. There is no silver bullet, it takes focus, dedication, consistency.

  • What are some ways to lost lots of fat? I read plenty of good reviews on the internet about how exactly Custokebon Secrets can assist you lost a ton of fat. Has anyone tried using this popular fat burn method?

  • I’m not an expert on dieting. I’m an English teacher. One thing which many people don’t realize is that eating is actually a form of communication, it can be a symbol of misery. What we choose to eat, when, and how much, are an integral part of our daily lives. So when people get fat by overeating, the solution is not just to diet and exercise. Many people eat too much as a response to loneliness. So to cure the problem of being overweight, you also have to cure the problem of being lonely. Look at this chart: https://www.instagram.com/p/B9h_95NgZ4G/?igshid=yyu8wnfdtg3g. You will see that being overweight is a source of shame. People who are ashamed tend to isolate. And when they isolate, they eat more out of loneliness, and self-hatred, Now look at this chart: https://www.instagram.com/p/CCWzfL0Ds_R/?igshid=x8v1f4fpqd1y. It shows that there are three types of loneliness: collective, social, and intimate. In order to break the cycle of self-punishment, an overweight person must cure all three types of loneliness. That means developing better relationships. And a greater number of relationships. The more friends and acquaintances, the better. Increased friendship and intimacy with other people will reduce feelings of loneliness; which will reduce the feelings of being stigmatized; which will reduce the self-destructive tendency of eating too much. Go to Church, Volunteer, join a Hiking Club. Anything which widens a person’s social circle will lead toward less loneliness, and greater self-esteem. People with high self-esteem take responsibility for their own future. So really, there is no such thing as a “diet”. There are only lifestyle choices. One choice is to stay at home, and be sad. The other choice is to engage the world, make a lot of friends, and be happy. People who are happy make better choices.

  • I didn’t even get to tell my coworkers. I mentioned it to my boss because I’d need the time off. And next minute they’re bringing it up at the staff meeting when EVERYONE Is there. It’s not that I don’t want to tell people, I just want to tell them in my own time and on my terms. It’s my business so I should be the one to share it

  • I just LOVE how you think!!! “More of the cut back… than cut out mentality!!!” I DO like a slice of chicken and a little cheese! OK… and Sugar!

  • Do natural popular weight loss method like Custokebon Secrets really work and if so, how effective are they? I have heard numerous amazing things about this popular lose weight diet plan.

  • Recommends 0.7-1.0% of weight loss per week. The example used is for a 200lb individual and concludes that’s 1.7-2.0 lbs per week.

    0.7% of 200 is 1.4, not 1.7.

Sure, it’s not a big deal, but you are a PhD.

  • I needed to lose like 30 pounds when I was playing football so I can be in my right age group and lost 50 instead so anything can happen but take it really seriously but now it’s hard to lose weight

  • When considering eating healthy, you must never fall victim to modern day fad diet plans. Extreme diet plans undoubtedly are a risk for your health, especially ones that seriously restrict your everyday nutritional intake. Many of these fad diets work for a short period and then the benefits decrease after a while. You should look up Custokebon Secrets on the google search engine as it isn’t just another fad diet where you starve yourself.

  • Diet Plan called Custokebon Secrets kept appearing here on different youtube videos and I thought they were scams. However after my cooworker follow it, and finally lost a ton of weight by using it without starving herself. I’m persuaded. Don’t take my word for it, search for Custokebon Secrets on google.

  • You’re so correct. I want to focus on loving myself. Fear is not what I want to be coming from. I was going to not tell anyone and just work on me. I’ve been trying to lose weight my whole life I have never been a healthy bmi in my adult body. Not even my teenage body. My mom is telling me not to tell anyone about my sleeve surgery coming up.
I know that it doesn’t feel right to just keep this to myself. Everyone sees me walking around with a cane. I don’t want to die early. I need to embrace and own this. For sure! Totally the Visio I needed. Thank you for being so real!

I don’t know where to find a mentor. Hmmm I’m up in Canada. I think I’ll have to start manifesting that.

Oh! Just found one of your books on audible.ca All your books need to be on audible. I’ll buy them all! I listen to about 30 books a year on there. Sometimes I listen to the same book a couple times in year but always about 30 different books. I love information!!! I don’t want stories. I want info!

  • When everybody takes Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW) deadly serious that we all to greatly varying degrees force upon the young & poor, when meat-eaters take fighting to end the holocaust of mass rape/forced breeding that they force upon billions of innocent animals in factory farms, when religionists stop forcing their religion onto atheists including their own children, when the world takes animal rights and antinatalism as seriously as it takes fighting child pornography, then maybe fat people should give a shit about something that affects only them (obesity) and isn’t forcing anybody else to get fat.

  • Thank you Dr V ❤️

  • Do anybody know about Custokebon Secrets? Does it really work? I hear many people lost their fat with this popular lose weight method.

  • What exactly is Custokebon Secrets? How does this thing really work? I notice lots of people keep on talking about this popular lose weight methods.

  • im commenting on this vid in the beginning but the keto diet worked for me, i felt more energized and lost the weight fast, i didnt have the bad breath. I never felt dizzy and felt amazing honestly

  • I’ve been experimenting on losing weight and the main thing is anything pasta, bread (any sort ), processed food, oils (any sort ) all those diets that they advertise for $$$$$ are garbage, For ten years I studied me and others on food consumption and noticed patterns in illnesses, but it is up to you and you alone to eat smart.

  • While it’s important to point out that this video has a lot of incorrect information in it, there is some truth to what’s being said. Your body doesn’t necessarily have a “set point”, because our bodies have no concept of mass and/or weight but it does have a set level of calories that it burns every day. If you eat under that, your body/brain is going to tell you that it’s hungry (like the empty fuel analogy the video uses). The part the video fails to mention, is that there’s nothing forcing you to eat if you’re hungry, you can ignore that feeling for a pretty long period of time. The other factor that influences our hunger is the body’s production of the ‘hunger hormone’, Ghrelin. For efficiencies sake, our body produces ghrelin at similar times throughout the day because it gets used to when we tend to eat. That being said, you can retrain your body to produce more or less ghrelin by eating more or less food. So over time, if you eat less, your body will produce less ghrelin. The video is also correct in saying that as you lose mass (weight, lbs or kgs), your body burns less calories. However, that isn’t so that your body can maintain weight at a ‘set point’, it’s because it requires less energy to move a smaller amount of mass.

  • Thank you Dr Becky! I so enjoy your way of explaining and the brevity of your youtube instruction. I am 52 years old and I’ve been health coaching for years without knowing it! Of course, I’m a certified health coach and personal trainer now…but thank you for your help. You are my mentor!

  • Please define carb better for this old coot. I mean even saw dust in a carbohydrate. Bad carbs/ Good carbs? Carbs high in fiber, etc. Am I safe with onions, bell peppers, broccoli, tomatoes, okra, and goodies like that?
    Thanks in advance

  • I had connected on one of your videos that I felt hopeless in my battle of sugar addiction…..I have to say that since watching your videos and hearing your story about your addiction I have

  • These kinds of videos would be a lot better if you could spend a few seconds summarizing all the points at the end. It helps recalling them and keeping them in mind better.

  • I heard some guy lost 12kg in just one month by following diet plan from *Next Level Diet*, so I tried that too. Although I didn’t lose that much, I could say this thing really works and it’s definitely worth trying

  • Do you eat “healthy” grains such as wheat bread and oats? What about yogurt and cottage cheese? Thanks for this video. Very informative. -Kim

  • I do cardio a lot for weight maintenance. Walking really helps actually. Obviously a WFPB is key, but i cheat from time to time, and have a low BMR, so this is the only way out. I still eat eggs though. Trying to cut that out but being a runner, i am scared of not getting enough protein.

  • That’s really not that impressive if you were 260lbs. You were a slob and pretty much stopped eating like shit. Amazing how that works. It’s equivelent to someone weighing 140lbs and losing 30lbs. Good but not that hard.

  • Congratulations on your weight loss, and thanks for the perspective. I’m working on improving my diet, as well, although not quite ready to give up animal protein just yet. But just getting away from snack foods altogether, and cooking at home with fresh ingredients that I control, and including more fruits and veggies instead of just cheese and meat more often is helping.

  • Thank you Thank you.
I can eat and NOT EXERCISE and eat plant based food, but I am no where near where you and your husband are at.
    I am 136.7kgs (300lbs) approximately.
I am type 11 diabetic since August 2018 it was a Shock to me. I am also wheat and gluten intolerant. Vegetarian.
But I’m eating junk as well as alcohol with fruit juice and frozen fruit, instead of ice cubes. I’m talking to much so I’ll stop here. Thank you for sharing your weightlioss journey. XOXOXO

  • Thank you Dr. Becky for all your research and common sense.
Losing weight requires a lifestyle change that has more to do with the psychological aspect than the physical aspect of weight loss. Not having a clear cut goal of how you want to be and look, will always return you to weight gain or the inability to burn the fat or, in some cases lose weight. Burning the fat is the crucial aspect in question as muscle is heavier than fat. So, if you’re building muscle, and burning fat, your weight loss may be minimal. We might need to consider that, muscle can turn to fat on your body as well and usually does as we get older and become less physically active.

So, when burning fat for weight loss, it’s wise to keep active and exercise to maintain critical muscle mass. Losing fat weight is great. But not at the expense of losing muscle weight. And therein lies a problem that can lead to weakness and a vulnerability to sickness and disease as your defenses and resistances are reduced.

So, it is imperative that, your attitude and demeanor be reconciled to your goals and objective of looking and feeling the way you would like. And this takes work, discipline and focus. A motivation many older adults find very difficult to achieve and maintain. So, changing your eating habits is only 1/2 of the solution to health through weight loss. The other half of the equation is a PMA and the willingness and determination to change your lifestyle. Again, thanks Dr. Becky and I hope this helps your viewers a little.

  • 50? Are you kidding me. You look awesome and you continually post excellent training and vital information for all of us. Thank you.

  • Thank you for making this video. I am just starting out on my journey and your break down makes more sense to me and i understand more now. So thank you and congrat on your jorney. I have 150 lbs to lose and i hope your tools can help me reach my goals!!

  • The real truth about gaining weight.
You gain weight because of insulin. Insulin forces excess carbohydrates that are not used to create glycogen into fat cells, Once in there, fat inside the cells can’t get out unless you lower insulin for the most part.
Insulin is raised by carbohydrate consumption. If you keep your insulin low by eating mostly fats and protein, more fat can be used for fuel.
If you eat too many carbs, your insulin stays high. The only diet that keeps carbs low is a low carb diet.
Keep your carbs down, lose weight. That is the metabolic truth.

  • Dr. Becky: this was a great video. Your approach has more substance and more sanity (and less hype) than any of the dozens of other commentators I’ve seen on YouTube. After losing 45 lbs following these methods (and continuing for another 40 or so) I can identify very closely with #1 above. 90% of my meals take less than 10 minutes to prepare less time in the kitchen is less temptation to cave to cravings (but…long time ago I emptied my fridge of anything not aligned with the program). Thank you for sharing all of this with us.

  • I love fresh veggies and it really doesn’t take long at all to cut up some cauliflower & broccoli to lightly steam them. I love cauliflower mash as well. I also sprinkle Braggs Nutritional yeast on my veggies. I love the flavour with butter. Just have to choose what meat I would like with it. Cabbage is very versatile as well. Eggs are so versatile too so I eat them regularly. I don’t eat fruit but now & then I will have a few strawberries with blueberries & raspberries with some unsweetened, lightly whipped cream. Very rarely I will have almond flour or coconut flour recipes to replace bread. I have learnt to go without bread. I have lost 29 kilos!!! Off Insulin!! I also do Intermittent Fasting. I am one happy lady in my late 50’s. Hubby is proud of me too!! Still would like to lose another 5 kilos now and I will be making that my goal weight. I will then weigh 55 kilos at 5 feet tall.

  • Bom dia bem como vc entende o português fica mais fácil de falar com vc nossa tem certeza q era vc no vídeo e fepois vc mudou tanto assim????
    Vc ficou maravilhosa

  • Am wondering about tofu? Does that count as plant based or processed food? Thank you so much for sharing your story. I feel hopeful bc these are all things I can do.

  • Hi Dr. Becky❤️thanking you for these really do able things to help us!!! Just love you! I’m down almost 25 lbs… YAY!!! Your videos are helping me to succeed!!! Need to relearn food!❤️

  • Can’t wait to say, “I can loose weight “. Seeing results is so more real and feeling the change in our body. Reminds me of when I was working on overcoming a drug addiction, as the days past and weeks on working on overcoming. I use to say I can’t wait to feel normal and not all crazy. When that day came it was the most beautiful God Sent moment, that i finely made it. I said, I didn’t it! When the day finely arrived. I was wow this day feels so good, tears, a moment of that day reminded me how I wanted to feel. I felt normal my mind wasn’t clouded and my emotions were healed and I could see the day and sky and flowers and life was so different. Awesomely amazing and beautiful to appreciate life, family and friends.

Thank you for those words. It’s so true we can do it and arrive at seeing results. And finely say those words “I can loose weight”! Since I started your 0123 plan and joined your program in the three days and some now. I don’t see results as of yet but for sure I do feel something happening to my body, lol although I struggle near the evening to get those cooked low carbs in. I working on it, I believe I will arrive. I enjoy your videos and the plans you created it’s amazing. It’s been so helpful In so many ways. I tired so many others and your plan makes
So much since and simple to understand. Your plan has answered so many questions I didn’t understand. Thank you, your God Sent and blessing to my life.

  • Hi I keep seeing the same brand of frozen vegetables in your videos. Most that I have found in the grocery stores are not very good. What is the brand you are using? Thanks.

  • Where does the 2000 lb. cattle beast get his protein? It’s a a vegan! We eat the carcass? It’s nuts how people are living on cheese and meat!

  • I’m 47… I was chronically unfit, borderline diabetic and would get out of breath going up stairs (former smoker) I also had chronic gastric reflux and would wake up at nights burning and coughing, having brought up stomach acid into my lungs… doctors said I had a hiatus hernia and would need a propped-up mattress. I was advised to lose weight, eat better and get some light exercise. I have been on daily omeprazole for a decade for the acid reflux.

I went from 250lbs to 180lbs over 6 months, mainly walking as I had no endurance at all for anything more. Firstly, just a couple of miles a morning around the local park at about 3mph. By the end of the first month it was 4 miles. By the third month I was walking 14 miles every second day, at about 4mph… and was so fired up and optimistic that I went on ebay bought weights. Adding weights did nothing to my losses, but I started getting visible muscle gains… and that fired me up even further.

Doctor now says my diabetes indicators have gone! I’ve not had omprazole for three months and my acid reflux has gone… completely. I sleep like a baby and I notice friends panting a little when we’re out, where I always used to be the one struggling.

Most importantly… my mood is so much more positive. The more active I became, the more I actually WANTED to be active!

I guess what I’m saying is, if you’re watching this with low-motivation wondering if it’s even worthwhile… just do it! Seriously… even if you’re a wreck and have problems with stairs, groan getting out of a chair or have to hold your breath to tie your shoelaces (been there)… even if you’re thinking it’s too late in life and questioning if it’s even worthwhile. That was me!

Just START… because once you get a routine, however small, it just gets easier and easier. After about a month your whole attitude changes and the benefits just keep coming, even stuff you were resigned to like early onset diabetes or smoke-related poor lung capacity, aches and pains, fatigue, etc.

And EAT! Don’t cut down… just eat different. And I’m not talking about chewing grass.

Eggs are incredible! Scrambling them takes no time at all and you can thaw some frozen veg. in the pan first to give your body a little help… don’t worry about fresh vegetables, frozen is actually better for you, is cheap, and has no wastage. You don’t have to like them (I don’t) Chicken too… unskinned breast chicken is so great and way better for you than red meat. You don’t have to be a saint… I still have takeouts once a week, just not every night.

Definitely cut out all raw sugar as soon as you can though, perferably on day 1. Seriously… just stop buying it! You might get headaches or a bad gut after a week… and if you’re a sugar-monster you’ll probably crave like a lunatic at first. The headaches and bad gut are all the sugar-loving bacteria in your gut dying and rupturing, flooding you with toxins. Once you’re through that, it’s amazing just how quickly you get used to not having sugar… go buy a little VERY DARK chocolate if the cravings get too much.

Previously I’d go through a 1kg bag of sugar in 2-3 weeks… on my own! I was probably fueled almost exclusively with sugar. I discovered that if you try to cut down you’ll just start teaching your brain to appreciate it even more, which makes it harder to quit… so it’s best just to come to a dead stop. After a couple of weeks, you’ll actually really get used to the taste of cereals and beverages without sugar… but expect it to twist your face at first ; )

Oh, Protein supplements were great. Find one you like the taste of and buy as powder in bulk… you’ll need a decent blender. Store bought drinks are silly expensive and often contain more marketing hype than protein heck, many have crazy sugar in them. Protein shakes can really keep you feeling great and they’re free of sugars and fats.

Of course, with all this protein going in you’re going to NEED fibre… or you’ll end up bloated and trying to pass concrete. Trust me, I was in agony because I missed this out. Start every day with a generous bowl of unsugared bran flakes or similar. I also made the mistake of going for pure all-bran, but that stuff is way too strong if you’re not used to fibre… and again, huge pains.

But a generous bowl of regular store-brand bran flakes each morning… well… it ain’t exciting, but it’s super important.

Bananas are a secret ally too… not only are they strong in fibre, but I learned that they also have potassium (Something we are ALL deficient in) which binds sugars up into a nice safe structure called glycogen instead of fat. Glycogen is like a pez-dispenser for quick sugars and can really assist your body to provide energy on demand throughout the day… best yet, that free potassium helps your body mop up excess sugars, taking the load off your pancreas and liver. Basically, it is a natural buffer that reduces the strain of sugar on your body and helps you regulate blood sugar.

If you can’t stand bananas, talk to your doctor about potassium supplements you really don’t need much.

But none of this is as important as just starting. Just find a nice spot, put one foot in front of the other and walk. Get up early if you have to… everything else can just be added in as you progress.

Cus if I can, anyone can.

I actually have visible muscles now too, just with cheap ebay weights… And I’ve NEVER had muscles. I mean nothing, ever… arms like a six year old girl. My belly is still a little loose, sure and I still have a tiny bit of man-boob left to lose… but my arms!!! I can finally wear T-shirts and look good in them: ) My back and shoulders are taking shape too!

And it all started with walking, just walking, slowly, once around the park at 5am every morning… still dark, because I felt like I didn’t want to be seen.

It’s not easy… but it GETS easy, surprisingly quickly… you just have to start: )

So, who are you going to be in 6 months? 12 months? Well, it’s actually more in your hands than you might think ; )

    Good luck!

  • So I’m trying to lose wait but I really don’t know what kind of diet to do. See I’m not a very active person and I’m trying to plan some more workouts. I’m not Necessarily out of shape but I’m overweight. At least I think. I’m 16 not to y’all or short. Short for my age but I’m not too muscular but big boned and pretty chubby. So far I’ve cut my portions and have drank lots of water and have been fixing my sleep schedule. I haven’t had soda for 2 yrs and want to minimize my sugars. I’m a wrestler and I’m 200 pounds. I would like to lose weight but also gain some muscle. I don’t want to be to bulky though. Anyways if any one has any ideas please respond back. I really need help. Thank you reading this comment.

  • Love this! Because you did it, and got the knowledge and got what you wanted a healthy way and not the fad diets that just ruin our bodies and our self-esteem and selfbelieve. Well done

  • I love that you said fear equals failure! I love all your videos. Also I’ve seen everyone do a pre op diet but my surgeon didn’t give me one and my surgery is in a week. Is that normal?

  • What are some good plant proteins? I’m on the autoimmune paleo diet to try to put my autoimmune diseases in remission. I can’t have a lot of the Keto foods: eggs, nuts, seeds, coffee, cheese, dairy, etc. Also I’m in menopause and not losing weight even on AIP.

  • I had a plastic surgeon tell a student that I had exercised my weight off and now I had all this extra skin. I looked at the student and told him, No I had bariatric surgery.

  • there is no “one diet fits all” as people would have you believe. I see a lot of people arguing over eating styles on YouTube. I wish everyone would realize this. We have evolved and changed over thousands of years. All of our bodies are made differently. What works for one may not work for another.

  • Its still amaze me just how a number of people do not know about Custokebon Secrets even though a lot of people with it. Thanks to my personal pal who told me about it. I have lost lots of fat.

  • This is very true. When I was in college, I ate two salads a day and a veggie meal with minimum flour (two small tortillas); egg whites or yogurt for breakfast. It was a keto vegetarian diet before keto vegetarian was a thing. I rarely ate fruit other than strawberries; low sugar. People would make fun of me but guess who had the last laugh at graduation time, hehe. I’m going back to that. I knew women who hired trainers so they could eat whatever but they were mad when they got thicker because they were growing muscle but NOT losing fat. I have lost weight several times without exercise. Be realistic anyway: I have no intention or desire to go to a boot camp. People are often dismayed by better quality diets and the cost for seemingly just eating lettuce when they are used to dense cheap poor nutrition fat promoting foods. When you buy fresh greens and veggies you are buying freedom and clarity not just a light density consumer good. That also goes into that feeling of never having enough to eat… to neh sayers: free y’alls mind!

  • Is Custokebon Secrets effective to lost tons of weight? I have learn a lot of good things about this popular weight loss diet plan.

  • I do really well on this way of eating UNTIL I come home from work, and eat my meal in front of the TV. My carb craving over takes me. Getting into my old jeans is the last thing on my mind. Which is what keeps me eating well during breakfast and lunch.
I feel lonely if I’m not eating in front of my, these days, my desperate housewives show.
On my way home from work I say “I’m going to do right” and then I’m just tired and don’t have the energy to fight my carb wanting after 11 hours of working in front of Desperate housewives. Any suggestions to beat this?
I know it works. I did it for 6 straight weeks last year and the weight was consistently falling off until I got too hungry one day and ate a protein bar. The sugar took over everything and the next day I started eating nothing but protein bars for weeks. I couldn’t get my mind to get back on the program. Any suggestions to get myself to eat right in the evening after work??
    Thank you for your videos!!!

  • I eat 5+ times a day (besides my dessert and other small meals) but I’m still thin (not skeleton thin but ectomorph kind of thin). Docotors have got it all wrong there are several factors that cause obesity besides overeating… I am a living witness (and no, I don’t have HIV)

  • Look when stop eating your body becomes more efficient in storing fat so you won’t lose weight

You ABSOLUTELY NEED to eat to lose fat but you have to eat healthy options high in protein, moderate carbs and fat.

Example: 150g of chicken 1 slice of bread, protein shake, 2 slices of brown bread and 3 scrambled eggs dinner. intake for this is 1600 calories plus exercise -250 calories

    You will lose weight fast

  • This doctor has really helped me with not only understanding my bariatric surgery and before I have it and what to expect after I have it and the realities of maintaining the weight loss.

  • I Had gastric bypass 10 years ago and got down to 135 and maintained that weight. Last year I got in a really bad car accident and have completely lost my long term memory. For the last year I’ve gone to PT, OT, Speech, Neurology, and regular doc appointments. I have really bad insomnia. They have played with my meds add one, take away, increase dose, decrease dose, and elimination of pills. My weight has increased 30 pounds. I feel miserable and covid19 isn’t helping. Any suggestions on getting back on track?

  • OMAD,yes one meal a day, spike insulin once a day, eat the same calories, same exercise, simples, black coffee becomes your best friend.

  • Your awesome and speak truth. EVERYTHING you outlined is 100% correct. It’s about what you eat, not how much you exercise. Refined sugar supposedly is 7xs more addictive than heroine.

  • Has anyone tried Custokebon Secrets? (just google it) We have noticed several amazing things about this popular lose weight methods.

  • I can tell you’re an empathetic doctor who listens. I’ve never met a skinny person who “gets” what it’s like being bigger, unless they were before. One of my worries is finding a surgeon who looks at me with disgust instead of compassion. So thank you for showing me there are gems like you out there!!

  • What are some ways to lost a ton of fat? I read lots of superb opinions on the net about how Custokebon Secrets will help you lost tons of weight. Has any one tried this popular fat burn secrets?

  • I couldn’t stop eating without stopping and I was starting to look fatter than normal, but thanks to Keto I lost more than 70 pounds with keto in my first year, no rebounds, it’s sustainable Thanks to Keto today I feel great!! always satisfied and sure of myself. Today is my day 480.

  • I have implemented your strategies I am only on Day 2 but I feel full of Hope and I know that I can attain my goal weight even though I am over 50 thank you so much

  • It is difficult to lose weight because our food has changed, and not for the better. There are things that people should never eat, that they find normal to eat every day. White sugar is a drug, so is white stevia. Aspartame and Sucralose should have never been allowed in the food supply. They are pure poison. The biggest problem??? People eat too much processed food.

  • Thank you…. I’m often asked what do I eat…. My answer is, I eat my favorite food, meat and veggies. I love meat, when I went on meatless diets I would gain weight, instead of losing… My body is so insulin resisting that it’s as if someone is sitting inside my body and closes all gates really successfully, that no fat would escape thru it… LOL… But on Keto I’ve lost 15lb in two month, for me it’s a happiest weight loss ever, because I just don’t lose weight( if I do lose some weight, it comes back with a race car speed). I also go on dry fasts once a week, and my arms lose weight the most, as they piled up fat the most for some reason. And what’s interesting that skin gets tight too. I’d doesn’t sag as it used to before when I would lose even small amount of weight. Also my double chin got small and skin doesn’t sag…. Thank you for your videos… God Bless…

  • Went through a pulmonary emboly. I was overweight and had a sitting lifestyle due to being an office worker. Although i changed my diet, where i started to eat considerably more healthy i did not actually decrease my calory intake until later on. I was already at around 1500 kcal per day. The only difference was i ate 1 to 2 times a day and never in the morning…. even after i reduced the calory intake to about 1300 i could not reduce the weight more than just what i was able to remove in form of water… I started having health issues due to training and low food intake (for my weight). But suprisingly enough when i started to go to a psychologist everything suddenly started to change. It might have been a coincidence but it realy did not feel that way.

  • 8:24 in this video.Cocaine comes from the cocoa leaf????? Noo my dear, cocoa is a tree, coca is a bush. Where did you get this information??? Just google some pictures of them. The cocoa you consume is powder from a fruit. Cocaine is a powder fro the leaf called coca, it has been pulverized and mix with toxic elements and boiled, etc. And no, sugar doesn’t produce that effect. However your body process all carbs in the same way, so wheat and sugar are converted in glucose in your body and insulin is needed to do metabolize those. Insulin is the culprit for storing fat in your body

  • This video is fantastic! It helps me recall of the time when my spouse used Custokebon Secrets to lose 18 lbs and enjoy being healthy again! Many people wish to lose fat, but we also require to remain nutritious, which is what Custokebon Secrets gifted.

  • I just LOVE your transparency!!! Your so funny and have calming voice. I’m so very thankful that I stumbled across your channel. You both are helping people in ways words can’t explain. Thank you for your transparency and for helping me change my life. God bless you both.

  • Great Tips as always. Can you do a video on what to eat for breakfast. I’m so done with eggs Or do you have one already? Anyone on this feed have any suggestions? I would so appreciate it!:)

  • Enjoyed your video! I started eating raw vegan 15 days ago and I no longer have the ravenous cravings for crap food. I feel great but I. am still waiting to see the difference so I am at a tricky place and was glad to hear your views on exercising. I am focusing on gathering my foods and making sure I always have them on hand and exercising has taken a back seat. You look imaging. . I can’t wait till my doughiness is gone everywhere, too!

  • I know an Amanda and she doesn’t even eat alot. People assume I eat a little bit but I eat more than Amanda. It’s horrible how image can effect your way of thinking:/

  • I am learning so much! I never gained weight and stayed slim but these last few years I want to lose weight. I’m finding it really hard to drop weight for surgery after gaining it on seroquel but now I think I am learning where I’m going wrong! Thank you for such good clear advice.

  • This is such a useful video. I’ve watched it over and over. Thanks so much!!
Another thing that I find super helpful are these apple cider vinegar gummies. They work wonders with keeping me full, and not craving

  • Anyone tried the Custokebon Secrets? I have heard some awesome things about it and my sister lost a ton of weight with Custokebon Secrets (just search it on google).

  • Do natural popular fat burn methods like Custokebon Secrets really work and if so, how effective are they? We’ve noticed many amazing things about this popular lose weight diet plan.

  • This video has great information, but I’m confused about the best diet plan that I should work with, only because I have never used any. Anybody tried using the Custokebon Secrets? I’ve noticed some folks mention unbelivable things about Custokebon Secrets.

  • Thank you so much. I so badly needed this. I used to feel so bad about myself for cutting calories and then eating them all back because of “lack of willpower.” a calorie is not a calorie

  • If you’re overweight, then I suggest starting with a keto diet first. Basically fatty meat with veges, as much as you want to get your body habituated to burning fat as a fuel source. If you want to lose excess weight (fat), then you have to train your metabolism to get used to burning fat. No sugar, no bread, no noodles, no carbs AT ALL. Carbs have an interesting metabolic effect since if it’s not used soon, then it get stored as fat.

Make sure you’re eating enough salt, potassium and magnesium in the diet: critical. All available as supplements. After 2 weeks on the keto diet, you’ll notice that your appetite has diminished and your cravings for random food goes down to zero. Next step is intermittent fasting so have your last meal at 6 pm. Don’t eat until the next day @ 10 am.

Keep on doing this for a week, then have your first meal at 12 noon (so 18 hours with no food). Just a regular keto meal, enough to make you feel full. 1 week (or 2 weeks) later, have your first meal @ 2 pm. Only eat at 6 if you’re hungry.

When you’re ready, eat only 1 meal @ 1 pm. Now you’re on the OMAD (one-meal-a-day) fasting routine.
Record how you feel, energy levels, cravings, sleep quality.

Then attempt a 48 hour fast, and finally a 5 day fast. BUT! You MUST drink lots of water with potassium, magnesium and salt throughout the fast. Usually the first day is easy but day 2 and day 3 can be really tough. If you don’t feel good at any stage, then go back to OMAD fasting. Fasting is not unhealthy if you do it right think about it: our ancestors didn’t have access to supermarkets/refrigeration and going without food for days was not unusual.

Dr Berg, Dr Mindy Pelz and Dr Fung all have solid videos on keto, intermittent fasting and long term fasting. Check them out

  • Can you talk a little about the exercise/ fight or flight causing your body to hold onto weight? I haven’t heard that before. My understanding was that building muscle will increase your metabolic rate making it easier to lose fat.

  • I too have gone all totally plant based, now have kept off half my body weight for over 8 years. Every day is a choice, easier but not. Thank you for sharing your story.

  • What a stupid video. The methodology of how one loses weight is key. Eating 1000 calories a day and doing a ton of cardio will only do harm in the long run, while losing weight gradually by slowly cutting calories and adding activity into your day will have vastly different results.

  • I totally agree with you that probably why I’ve lost 62 pounds and the rest of my weight loss journey I’m going to document it here on my YouTube channel.

  • Hi Becky..i have been low carb, no Keto for almost 1 year.. feel great but have not lost any weight..just barely 2 inches from waist. I am about to add carbs back because I am not seeing results. I am 55 yrs old 5’3 and 158…overweight….please advise

  • Hello creator Your content was so awesome and useful. Those who are willing to lose weight…Kindly go through this link https://shrinkme.io/pbzOhp

  • Thank you, Dr. Becky. There are so many important keys to losing weight and keeping off weight, such as belief and mindset. I no longer accept that I can’t lose weight and not going to accept that the older a woman gets, the more overweight she becomes. Older women do not need to be overweight. This obese epidemic has happened within our generation, as we, Baby Boomers did not grow up with very many people who were obese. Now, it’s fashionable. Although, I do belief it is important to be kind towards everyone, no matter what our body looks like BUT, overweight and obese is a health issue. And that is a concern.

  • How do you feel about plant based I’m confused now everyone is doing keto I stopped eating meat and thought plant based was best for us

  • SO glad I found you guys! I’ve known about whole food plant based eating for a while now but I’ve had a difficult time transitioning over. You two are inspiring as I have at least 100lbs to lose.

  • I gain 50 lbs in the las 5 years so 3 days ago I started to lose the extra weight I started 3 days ago and already lose 4lbs and I am writing everything what I am doing and eating so I can share my journey

  • I think I move and excersize more than I eat. On a good day I eat 2 meals a day. On a bad day I’m just poking pot from the food I made my family. I have 6 kids, 7 if you count my husband, and I cook 3 up to 5 times a day. I’m always attending their needs so I started waking up at 5am and started working out. I’m still not noticing the results. I’m still fat and out of breath.

  • You really are my mentor. I found you on YouTube about a week ago and man you are awesome. I have been referred for wls and I have been trunk to do research and you are the BEST thing I’ve come across….

  • Just watched this video. Wish I had known about it 6-months ago when you posted it. Would you please share more of your food choices and food preps? I’ve been “vegan” for over two years now and have steadily gained weight. I’ve known it was hormonal, but I have been resistant to eliminating sugar and flour (lots of controversy in my mind over this). I’m willing to go that route, but would love some real-life food preps and examples of how you eat daily. Thank you for freely sharing your experience in this video. Really THANK YOU!

  • No I’ve been a coach for 27 year it really is that simple if you eat in a calorie deficit you will lose body fat. Only women going through the menopause or people with chronic illness can’t lose fat or struggle to lose fat in a deficit. Obesity is a lifestyle choice for most people I’ve never failed to have success with a client.

  • Hi I love your videos! Did either of you have issues with extra skin? Or have any surgeries after losing such large amounts of weight? If you don’t mind sharing.. Thank you..

  • I read that, for my body type, Keto diet is the best, but I… want bread. No pizza, no processed bread, I want whole wheat bread but idk, I don’t know much about food, and everybody says something diferentes

  • The 0-1-2-3 is really helping me a lot!!! I was just making solute that if I have a giant salad, half of an entire fresh cucumber and a cup of broccolithat even though only 1 is fresh and 1 is steamed that it will still work I hope. Lmk Thanks for the videos

  • Thanks for this video. I have to say this program is very effective, so if you are looking to a comprehensive no nonsense program, this is it.

  • This video has great information, but I’m not sure about the best diet plan that I should work with, only because I have never used any. Anybody tried the Custokebon Secrets? I’ve heard many people talk about amazing things about Custokebon Secrets.

  • As specialist, I’m sure Custokebon Secrets is great way to lost a ton of weight. Why not give it a shot? perhaps it’ll work for you too.

  • Ok guys don’t just say your obese from your bmi or weight, bmi is far from accurate, you are forgetting you have muscles, organs, liver, bones, brain, etc. Unless you are clearly obese, you don’t neede to worry.

  • Congrats on your amazing success! Im convinced each body requires its own plan. For me clean high protein lots of clean veggies small amts of fruits and no sugar and flour works. And for exercise its weight training that makes the difference. Too much cardio undermines my progress.

  • I have been trying this Elevacity product for memory and focus and it actually works as a weight loss product too. Here is my blog of my journey and the product. I do not sell the product!! https://foreigngirly.com/2020/08/05/elevacity/

  • loved ur video. its all stuff i kind of knew but needed to hear again. ive been living a vegan lifestyle for over 4 years and had a vegan pregnancy and my son is now 1 and hes vegan so far as well. ive gained so much weight after pregnancy and postpartum and i just cant lose it. exercise doenst help it at all i think i def need to cut out flour!! i did best b4 i got married on a raw vegan diet. i never looked better! now as a busy new mom i eat rice and pasta and bread to get thru my day and its terrible!!! thank u for this informative video!!

  • I work with a girl that had the surgery and she is still the conversation of everyone and it’s been over a year so I’m going to keep mine a secrete because people always find someone to talk about

  • Proverbs 29:18“When there is no clear vision, people quickly wander astray”. Whether it be life or a new way of eating, goals and vision are critical. Well said Dr. Becky.

  • Yes, I was one who ”gave up” after a lifetime of trying to lose weight….UNTIL I discovered Keto 2 1/2 years ago…am 76 now and am having success at weight loss…feel badly for all the people, including myself, who ‘swallowed’ the idea of low fat…thanks, Becky.

  • Na no1 is rubbish. Ppl domt need to know what u have done.. would you go round tell every one uve had the shits. No one needs to know. Its ur business not theirs

  • On the topic of goals, I just had a total hip replacement in mid fifties. Of course they don’t self repair and have a limited mechanical lifespan. I don’t ever want to experience a revision and the less weight it bears, the longer it should last. The second most important goal for me is to prevent ever becoming type 2 diabetic. My goals are all health related. I could care less about attracting or impressing the opposite sex. My point is, I feel like I now have a very strong motivator. Major surgery and insulin dependence is definitely something to avoid if at all possible.

  • I told everybody and still tell everyone I meet.
I am proud of myself for having had the sleeve.
I am just over a year out and I still follow my doctors recommendation.
    Don’t drink 30 min before/after meal.
    Don’t snack between meals.
Don’t drink alcoholic beverages as they contain to much calories.
I am down to my ideal weight, bmi 21, and I obviously want to keep my weight off so all your videos are much appreciated ❤❤❤

  • I agree with everything you said, but I’m curious about no exercise. I am incorporating a whole food, plant based diet, and I want to lift weights for strength building and play racquetball for fun. Isn’t it still okay to do these things if I am just careful of how much I each afterward? Thanks

  • I have only recently found you on YouTube and am catching up with your videos including the ones with your hubby’s weight loss journey. Thank you for your videos and education.

  • What about diabetics? Leafy greens are good but fruit for breakfast would spike my sugar level all day, especially w/o protein. Tried it before. Suggestions?

  • This video encapsulates all the most important information and knowledge about successful long term weight management and good health that personally took me years to understand. And Dr. Becky delivered it in less than 7 minutes! That’s amazing. Thank you for sharing.

  • How to lose 2 pounds a week without counting calories? Counting calories don’t work for long term, especially me with a eating disorder

  • Hello there, have you considered this kind of diet plan known as the Custokebon Secrets? My buddy says it helps people lost tons of weight. Is that possible? I also noticed a lot of good review relating to this diet plan. Thoughts?

  • Completely inaccurate video, based on propaganda type government’s version of science, which is safe to say is bad science.
This channel is not questioning the bad science promoted by the government, which proves this channel is nothing but propaganda in the name of science.
This is a story about diets, which are used mostly by overweight people, but in explaining the low carb diet, then talks about normal healthy people’s diet. You can assume that if somebody is on a diet, the are not normal weight or health.
Low carb is by far the best diet because of satiety. Regular diets almost always fail because restricting calories eventually causes excessive hunger which needs to be dealt with, and will power is not enough. With a low carb diet, if you can stick to the foods, you are not hungry all the time like you are on other calorie restrictive diets.
Plus these morons still don’t understand the lies surrounding the truth about the health effects of saturated fat. Saturated fat is perfectly healthy. These morons don’t understand they are being lied to, are biased and uninformed…

  • I hear lots of people keep on speaking about Custokebon Secrets. But Im not sure if it is good. Have you ever try this popular fat burn method?

  • Dr.V, this is my 2nd time watching you, your video’s, and Your saying every littlethoughtthats run through my mind!!! Everything-God I can relate to You!!! • I encountered such a blog while browsing the internet to get rid of excess weight, https://resurgefree.blogspot.com/ I have reviewed this, can you help me….

  • I stand for the concept calorie defiit to lose weight and try to love healthy food as much as i can and make an active lifestyles for long term period

  • This video has good information, but I’m confused about the best diet plan that I need to work with, only because I have never used any. Anyone tried using the Custokebon Secrets? I’ve noticed some people talk about great things about Custokebon Secrets.

  • What are some ways to lost tons of fat? I read a lot of good reviews on the internet about how Custokebon Secrets will help you lost a ton of weight. Has anyone tried this popular weight loss secrets?

  • If you wish to slim down, you need to look up Custokebon Secrets on the google search engine. They’ll help you get the shape you need.

  • Shannon, your mind blowing expressions, “balls dropping not mine”, “brain on sugar (drugs, cocaine)” are killing me. I laughed so hard. Trying to do plant based, but failing at times. I figure if I just keep at it, it will become easier. Thanks for the info.

  • I just found your channel and learned about BLE I bit the bullet and took the susceptibility quiz (i’m a 10 btw) listened to the book last weekend, practiced weighing/eating avoiding flour and sugar this week (i’m on my 5th day) and i’m DOWN 5 LBS TODAY!!!! AHHHHHHHHHH I can’t hardly BELIEVE IT!!! ✨ It’s a little weird at first weighing my food, but I just trust and eat it and haven’t worked out or anything this week. I used to be super active throughout high school and college, and these last 5-8 years I’ve been gaining weight and slowly stopped working out at all. I just kept gaining and gaining and was too sluggish to even try a sit up. SAD and DEPRESSING!!! But this week has opened my eyes to so many things, how i’m eating, and flour and sugar just in general. I’m SO STOKED!!! Hope has returned!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.

  • The one that works for you, that you enjoy doing, and that you can stick to, is the best. I’ve lost about 50 pounds in a little over two years, just by hitting a calorie goal, a protein goal, a fiber goal, and getting at least five servings of fruits and vegetables each day, while letting everything else fall where it will.

  • I had the bypass surgery.
Lost a lot of wieght. Got healthy. Looked good, felt good.
Unfortunately, I put most of the weight back on.
I’ve given up on trying to loose weight. I’m so uncomfortable. I just don’t have the motivation anymore.
I dont care who knows I had surgery. I told everyone.

  • Please don’t do dieting. I’ve been losing 8kgs through eating clean dieting + exercise everyday. But, after you already losing so much weight you started to stop dieting and eat like usual. The real battle started when your mind still thinking about calories, restriction, and consequently you will not be happy with what is on your mind. You will ended up binging eating until you feel like u wanna vomit, regret it and the cycle keeps going. In addition, some of you may lose ur period for few months due to restriction. So, please don’t do dieting, but instead change your lifestyle in order to be more healthy! Your health is the priority and you will glow up nicely

Dieting lead to be an eating disorder and mental health person

  • Eat more fiber it tells your body when your full naturally full and will help your body deal with excess hormones and will fuel a healthy microbiome

  • Thank you Dr.Becky for your so down to earth motivating video. I’ve been following this high fat low carb diet for a year and a half and in between I did do some sugar and carbs due to occasions parties etc and the pattern of eating went a little off track. Now I find that no matter what my weight just doesn’t reduce. I’ve started intermittent fasting and even that is not helping.
Hopefully I can keep this video as a guide especially believing that I can do it again.
I am one of those who lost weight for the first time in life after years of weight gain and the feeling was so great. I still need to lose another 8 kgs which I hope I can achieve.
So thank you once again for motivating me and perhaps all those watching this video.

  • I am going for my psych eval tomorrow, then my surgery can be scheduled!! I am nervous, excited, but overall, ready to get a new tool to get to my goal weight!

  • The “modern environment” is an environment not only “Amanda” lives in is a environment shared by every member of that society, and guess what not all members, in fact, a good part of societal members exposed to this “modern environment” are not obese, and there are numerous people who have been obese and lost weight, proof of concept that changing lifestyle is capable of beating fat and that fat IS a lifestyle choice, its time to stop blaming everyone else for “Amandas” lack of drive, and realise that obesity is caused by the obese individual not by the “environment they live in”, stop blaming society for our wrongdoings.
This comes from someone fighting weight capable enough to accept that his actions have consequences and that is morally integral enough to not blame other people for my lack of self control.

    (Edit)
Set points are modifiable trough routines after loosing fat and consistency, set points are not engraved in stone, and it took her “amanda” a lot of time to “set her point” as high as it is now.

  • As specialist, I do believe Custokebon Secrets can be great way to lost crazy amounts of weight. Why not give it a chance? maybe it is going to work for you too.

  • My health was horrible before I decided to try the Protocol Of taking @Dr_momoh_herbal_home2 herbal mixture. • What is the best product or brand to lost lots of fat? I read a lot of good reviews on the net about how exactly Custokebon Secrets will help you lost lots of fat. Has any one tested out this popular lose weight diet plan?

  • 07/08/19 =I literally CANNOT thank you Shannon enough for teaching me soooooooooooo many things about how HORMONES affect the body and about plant based diets and about CHANGING our INPUT, etc… and thank you also for helping me to NOT feel alone in feeling unusual because I crave eating veggies/fruits and salads with a veggie burger for a meal at breakfast, lunch and dinner, thought I was weird lol and come to find out you like eating veggies and fruit for breakfast, lunch and dinner too, yeh!!! I just started my plant based diet on 06/27/19 and thanks to you teaching me how sugar and flour affects our bodies and hormones = I threw OUT my lollipops that I have every night because you taught me how things like sugar or certain foods that can cause the hormone INSULIN to stay UP and results in holding on to fat, etc… Seriously, thank you soooooo much for teaching us EVERYTHING on this video and for giving us HOPE for years of suffering with our weight and not being able to problem solve it and you did in ONE video, wow, thank you. Your video was soooooooo good that I watched it three times, and would pause it to take NOTES so I could remember it all. You are an AMAZING teacher of your journey and you may not realize how many THOUSANDS of people you have helped by sharing your Amazing and realistic Journey. God Bless you. S. McGee in Colorado. thank you sooooooooooo much for real, thank you!!!! hugssssssss

  • In my opinion this program has the quickest results with the least effort, and it’s quite popular.

My sister and two of her friends look like totally different people now, to the point that it’s ridiculous! They swear by it.

  • Excellent video. I have been doing keto for 8 weeks now. I have lost weight and feel great. But doc, I have a question:

I had been a vegan for 20 years prior to doing this. I was following 80/10/10 (with your diet experience I am sure you have heard about it). I felt great on the diet, but I would always end up failing because of having to stay away from fat.

What I had learned since then is that no matter what you eat, you must stay within the calories that you burn. I am doing a 22/2 eating window. It’s really OMAD but eating more than one course.
So I am wondering if I can get the same results by eating fruit and nuts but adding lots of veggies with fats (olive oil, coconut oil and full fat mayo which is more vegetarian than vegan but I am good with that). I want to stay on the animal-based keto for at least another 8-12 weeks before trying this. But I wanted to hear your opinion.

  • Love your opening and closing argument, counselor Enjoyed your info and appreciate the sharing of your story which is so amazingly vulnerable of you!

  • There are 3 components to fat loss exercise, diet, and motivation.
One resource I found which successfully combines these is the Triple trim formula (google it if you’re interested) without a doubt the best diet that I have ever heard of.
look at all the before and after photos and interesting testimonials.

  • Treated myself to watching this “ refresher” video as I started Dr. Becky’s program in late February and it had been a total game changer. Had gained menapause weight steadily, had not awful but probably dated understanding of weight loss. Dr. Becky explains in layman’s terms how old school diets sabotage weight loss. I have lost over 15 pounds and do the victory dance in my closet almost daily. More importantly I feel fantastic. Inside and out, so if you’re on the fence and are wonderingcome on inthe skinny water is SO fine!!! God bless.

  • Ohh Here’s some content for your next one then..

Poverty is a disease.. your thought process and the vibrations generated by your own self are responsible for your own fate.. you want to be rich but the mentality that you’ve carried all the way since your childhood has pulled you back to where you really belong. Poverty is a disease, your brain functions in a way to keep you poor.. and just how you cannot do anything about your obesity, you cannot do anything about your financial condition. Share the video
WoW freakin awesome.. I’m so motivated!
PEOPLE OUT THERE, I SWEAR TO GOD YOU CAN DO IT!! TRAIN YOUR MIND BEFORE YOU TRAIN YOUR BODY

    What a stupid video man!

  • I love this video. It’s all so true. Thank you. The low fat, high carb diet has been such a monumental failure. I’m never going back to hunger. I love that if I do fall off the wagon for a trip or special occasion my life won’t be ruined and I can get back on track with more fat, protein, and fiber and cut out the sugar and carbs. It’s really so easy when you know how to do it. Especially if you unlearn the habit of snacking between meals.

  • I don’t recommend doing it but it straight up quit all chocolate, chips, other sweet snacks, junk food and soft drinks and lost about 20% of my body weight

  • You would be a lot more effective if you were not so VULGAR. Did you ever consider that there are people who DO NOT like to listen to that??

  • All good. The other things: weigh in DAILY, especially AFTER you lose the weight. It provides a positive moment of motivation to start your day-or a warning if you slipped the day before. And while losing-KEEP A FOOD JOURNAL. This was ESSENTIAL for me, because I simply couldn’t help underestimating-grossly-how many calories were in things. 40 pounds down and counting, for a year.

  • Good information. Definitely keep sugar and refined carbs a low % of intake. Also, not a ton of fruit, but some fruit is ok. Fruit has antioxidants and fiber and…sugar. It helps make salads more fun, but yeah..fruit is sweet so be careful. I would also stress eating fewer meals per day (I have been fairly successful with this, but sometimes i need an ergy boost btn meals it is more ab improvement than being perfect or being a robot) and also keeping stress low and getting good sleep and working on things you really enjoy. My eating plan is supersalads (yes, they take some work to prepare, but not so bad) with good fats and then lots of wc salmon gf beef, tuna (not too much of course), eggs, and some bacon. For exercise, weights (dumbells) with high volume reps (start high, then do sets of 12-15) and have diff levels of dumbells for drop sets, etc) and lots of time under tension…and also h.i.i.t and then walking/swimming. So am i getting leaner. Well, I think so. I have been told I look healthier. My stomach is down and flatter than before. (Not flat.. chk back in 6-12 months for that). Not eating after dinner is not so easy for me and i feel quite blah, but i am sticking with this. I am used to the quick sugar pick-me-ups. I also used to eat out of boredom. Sorry body, no more mindless munching. Oh and good to get some sunshine or get vite D in diet. There is a lot involved here and you kind of need to have balance in your life and a purpose. Hey, you can do this. I am doing it..or trying. I fail a lot and fight against lots of stress and maybe some mild sleep apnea, but I want to keep working at this. Learn more each day in my classroom…(Youtube)!

  • I JUDGE that people have the moral right to be as obese as they want. That if it’s not worth it to them to lose weight too painful, hungry then it’s not worth it. I JUDGE that they are not forcing others to get obese. So, I have a generally POSITIVE judgement of the obese: or, rather, a laissez-faire free market anarchist/capitalist judgement about obesity.

  • Thank you Dr. Becky! You’re awesome. I’m going to give it a try. List all my reasons for losing weight, I thought of a few just while you were talking and I could feel myself getting excited and strong! That’s really a good idea! And I love the smoked pork and beef from Costco, but it never occurred to me to eat it without a big bun, with just a side of veggies. I do that with chicken, why not with the shredded meat? Have a great day!

  • You’re so smart and make it all so much fun. I love your video 3-5 years out “no body cares”. I wonder about your diet is this 4ever after WLS? Try not to laugh. Or is it mostly to initially loose the weight. Also what about protein shakes and vitamins.? Send more details about you speaking in march in LA.

  • I notice lots of people keep on speaking about Custokebon Secrets (google search it). But Im not sure if it is good. Have you ever tried this popular fat loss system?

  • Teach me to input. Haha. I wish I liked fruit but most fruit I hateeee. Not really the taste but moreso the texture /:

My doctor told me years ago “You don’t lose weight by exercisingsorry, but you just don’t. You CAN but you have to focus on what you eat, how much, and the chemical concoction you’re creating in order to lose weight. Once you lost X amount THEN start exercising.”

  • Diet Plan known as Custokebon Secrets kept showing up here on different youtube and I thought they were scams. However after my work buddy follow it, and finally lost plenty of weight with it without starving herself. I’m persuaded. You should not take my own word for it, search for Custokebon Secrets on google.

  • Great Video!
I have ovarian cancer due to the brca gene in my family. I am just about done with chemo. I plan to start a therapeutic keto plan. I did Keto before, but really went back to a SAD diet. I have learned I now have to really stay clear of all those foods forever. Im 55 and need to stay active too. Luckily the 1st time I did Keto I lost a fair amount of weight. Thank you for your great videos. I’d love to see one on Keto and cancer. Do you have any?

  • My buddy laughed when I told them I was going to become slimmer with just using Custokebon Secrets, but after I showed them great results right after I used it they are begging me to tell them about it. Of course I won’t tell them the detail about this diet plan, lol

  • Hi! Thank you for this useful video. By the way, I notice a lot of people keep on talking about Custokebon Secrets (just search it on google), but I’m not sure if it is really good. Have you tried Custokebon Secrets? I’ve heard some amazing things about it and my buddy lost a ton of weight with it, but she refuses to tell me:(

  • Dr Becky, thank you for your common sense, practical advice. I am an avid fan of you you and Kieth and love seeing your videos as you release them each week. I just crossed the 30 lb mark in weight loss journey doing Keto and IF. Only 30 more to go to reach my goal weight. Continued blessings to you both! Mark in Naples, FL

  • I hate it when people say
    “Ew why you so fat”
“Bro you need to jog some more”
Like do they even know how much do i need to struggle trying to lose weight

No wonder why they are thin, they just have no money to buy food

  • Okok dr v youre gonna be my mentor! I get it. So im already in the game. I follow shark tank members i watch how to videos and spiritual growth etc..

  • I’d like to see more of the #1, lol. I’m on day two and have already gone to the the store twice to get some things I didn’t have. Definitely going to cosco this weekend
